Wonderful yummy açaí bowls, great place to hang out, love the fact they blend in a soundproof room! One thing only they should clean tables and floors more promptly as people come and go and litter lingers...

I had the best acai bowls ever! They have many different options and you can also compone your own bowl. I went here more than once for breakfast ;) Unfortunately they do not have a good coffee ;(

It was a warm winter day when we discovered backyard bowls. We had the small bowl and the portion was really satisfying, (the big one was huge!) really fresh ingredients and the green juices were amazing also!

I was here for business and came here everyday for my time there, as I was brought by a friend who lives in LA. I can only comment on the Dragon Bowl, as it was so delicious I didn't chance ordering anything else! Very reasonably priced, at about 9 dollars for a small and 11 for a large. Small is plentiful. The fruit is really fresh and the yogurt is just the right level of tart and the granola is not too sweet. There are a range of porridge bowls too and many different teas available. Also nice to see a place being more environmentally friendly and having proper bowls and cutlery if you are eating in. Would recommend and will hopefully get to visit again!

Really nice selection of bowls - warm and cool options. Oatmeal dish was super good and the coco-Cado was so good. Fresh and flavorful. Belly buster - a nice portion on small size. Little outside area for eating and only one table inside if you’re planning on staying.

Tried this for the first time. Had an acai bowl (small) and it filled me up for the whole day. Feels like you are eating breakfast and ice cream but are still being healthy. Good for breakfast or lunch. Eat in or take away. Salad, smoothie and oatmeal bowl menus also look delicious

Really healthy chain with awesome acai bowls. My friends and I ordered avocado toast, green bowl, berry bowl, and an island bowl. Theses bowls are reasonable priced with plenty of fresh ingredients. We had large berries and each bowl was filled to the rim. The avocado was so creamy and they pile on plenty of healthy radish as well. This is the go to spot for some delicious bowls. They are reasonably priced and made fresh to order!

I am a huge fan... and have been since it opened BUT the service just gets worse & worse... here is why! BackYard Bowls needs to decide what it is ... the quality of the bowls is great - unquestionable and great value BUT its efficiency is really challenging... You often have to stand inline for 15 to 30 minutes to get to the counter to order ( I am okay with that ) BUT then you have to wait another 30 minutes ( as was the case on Saturday morning ) to get your order BECAUSE they give priority to phone orders and those coming in online. To apologise to customers who have waited 40+ minutes to get two bowls when you have 'walked in' hoping to order a bowl and enjoy it there is a a joke! 3 times I heard the lovely girl taking orders apologising to a group of 4 who waited 10 minutes for her to take their order... operationally this place is just a challenge... your letting you customers who arrive and hope to sit and enjoy the BackYard Bowl experience know they are less important to the phone orders and online orders... It needs to decide if its a 'take out' or its somewhere to sit and experience the wonderful bowls... every single time you go it just gets worse and worse and the process a bigger challenge.... Real shame as the quality of the bowl is sensational but it really just needs to make some operational decisions as the real let down is you actually should be looking after customers who turn up to order, eat and enjoy.... Why not take the time to get a manager to sit and watch during a busy period and LEARN what has to change operationally .... also there is never anyone managing the store obviously... its not great to queue along side filthy dishes stacked in buckets by the door when you expect your customers to line up and wait ... its just not nice... someone should be cleaning and clearing outside regularly and making sure its okay... not once in countless times have I seen it take care of.... twice now I have heard other customers moaning about the 'experience' and hopefully someone at this business will take note....

We had to try the bowls while in Los Angeles, they were good and very vast! Clean place with smiley young ladie taking your orders. Cell phone service was awful and I guess this doesn't matter but when you are trying to find out your route on how get back to your hotel, wifi and cell service is important. Overall a good experience.

This was the first meal we ever ate in California and it set the bar pretty high. Beautiful setting, great service and plenty of choice (for an açai place!). The power bowl was amazing, best açai ever!! And the cold brew really good too. Loved it, if this is you’re thigh-don’t miss Backyard Bowls!

We had the power bowl and the island bowl and both were amazing! Really yummy and filling and made it easy for us as my friend is vegan! We had to wait a while to order and then again to wait for our bowls but it was understandable on a busy Saturday morning. Lots to choose from and a nice location with indoor and outdoor seating with takeaway options too!

This place is crazy good. Try the Ancient PB+J for breakfast. I love the Arroz Verde bowl for lunch or dinner. Get the homemade hot salsa stuff on the side, it's unbelievable. I'm obsessed with the food here. Smoothies are good, too, but the bowls are addictive.

I always get the oatmeal with the jam - delicious. It tastes fantastic and is filling. Lemon ginger tea also really tasty. Bad place to try to have a call. Can't get cell service.

Was that good we went twice, once in Santa Barbara and once in LA. Loved this place and would recommend the island bowl. Base is like a frozen smoothie with the greatest granola topping and fruit. Love love love this place would highly recommend for a healthy start to your day.

This was some pretty top-notch acai. I have had different variations of the same thing around the world and this was one of my favorites! The ingredients tasted fresh and it was all very customizable (they make some of their own milks there- bonus!).

Greeted with a warm hello by a happy employee of this small local eatery. Loved the organic berry bowl, made fresh in a soundproof booth by an employee with noise-reducing headphones. We also enjoyed "Mama's Oatmeal" porridge bowl. Coffee was great too!!

Had a great protein bowl, the small is still huge and very filling. The quality is very good, but $10 a bowl is pretty steep, it's about as pricey as Juice Crafters if you are looking for the best cheap acai. I would recommend and go again for sure.

I have eaten at the Backyard Bowls several times, and the Acai Bowls here are just amazing - and as a bonus very healty.

This is my favorite place for breakfast in LA. Every bowl is delicious and the ingredients are the best quality ones. Highly recommend. You might be luck to spot several celebrities there as it is a very popular place in Hollywood.

During my trip to LA I became obsessed with this spot! The bowls are heaven and great value for your buck! The customer service is also amazing!

For our trip to LA in August, my daughter started researching places to eat, and she wanted to focus on healthy eating. She loves fruit and stumbled upon this establishment online. So we decided to check it out. It was so good that we visited a second time during our short trip to LA. The bowl was huge - plenty for two people to share. Choose your fruits, add in granola, for a mix of tastes and textures. My daughter wishes we had Backyard Bowls here in Minneapolis.

This is Backyard Bowls first location outside of Santa Barbara. They feature healthy, quick meals, smoothies, and coffees and teas. Their specialty is "bowls," of which there are two kinds - Backyard and Porridge. Each Backyard Bowl has a pureed fruit and / or vegetable "base" and an array of toppings. Porridge bowls use cooked grains as the "base" with a variety of toppings. We tried one of each. The Island Backyard Bowl was amazing! A cool pureed base of acai, mango, banana, coconut milk, and pineapple juice was topped with granola, banana, blueberries, strawberries, coconut shavings, and honey. Every bite brought a new mix of tastes and textures that was simply delicious. What a great way to start the day. We were not as thrilled with the Ancient Grains bowl. The mixture of Quinoa, Teff, Amaranth grains with cashew milk, cinnamon, walnuts, blueberries, strawberries, chia seeds, and honey was hearty but it was not nearly as interesting as the Backyard Bowl and had a slightly bitter taste. Next time I plan to try one of the oatmeal based bowls instead. Sharing a Backyard Bowl and a Porridge Bowl makes an interesting and hearty breakfast for two people. Backyard Bowls is a wonderful new addition to the neighborhood and a great place for a healthy breakfast. Give it a try!

Stopped by here for a quick breakfast on a Monday. Parking on the street was easy, and inside was moderately crowded - no line to order but short wait for our bowls and a few tables occupied. Great menu choice variety, and the bowls themselves were fantastic. You can also watch as they make it, which is interesting to observe. French press and cold brew coffees were both great. Would definitely go back!

The smoothies are delicious, and the bowls are refreshing and filling. Great place to meet up with friends to chat.
Felt healthier the moment I took my first bite :)
Super cool place for a healthy (hearty) smoothie and/or bowl of healthy goodness. I forget what the name of my bowl was, but it was the Acai smoothie, Granola, Bananas, Strawberries, Blueberries, Coconut and Honey on top! So delicious, and hearty - I could not even finish mine. My daughter had a smoothie, and she loved it. Just what we needed after a fun hike to the Hollywood Sign :) Highly recommend this joint!
