The Dock burger is one of the best around with great fries. Fish and chips are also cooked to perfection. Pretty good menu selection from salads, breakfast, ,burgers to fettuccine. Parking is difficult but well worth a try.

I went to see a friend perform (Irae Pagofie) one night with my sister and we ordered the bacon wrapped asparagus appetizer and it was simply amazing and another night I had the gorgonzola topped garlic bread and that was even better. I have never had a meal but I have heard those are amazing as well. Loved the owners and how friendly they were, never saw the place before the remodel but it looks good on the inside.

Rating Yay! I'm a fan. All changes saved If you're looking for a fun place for a late-night drink, this is a great choice. We walked by on a Friday night and it was karaoke night - everyone inside seemed to be having an awesome time and there was no cover, so we went in. There was a decent beer selection and prices were good. I ordered a rum and coke to begin - it was terrible! Recommend sticking to the draft beer ;) The atmosphere was awesome - everyone joining in with the karaoke fun and the staff were hilarious and friendly. I think they even hugged us on the way out. Just a fun, unpretentious place.

Burger and fries in pub atmosphere. General sports bar atmosphere with barstools against the bar on one wall and there were benches or stools with taller tables on the other wall. There were about 10 TV screens moderate sized 40 inch. The street side had about three tables which is where I sat with my wife. To watch your game was not as convenient from those tables but if I really wanted to dedicate a get together to watch the game I would’ve chosen a different seat. The service was very prompt and the young gentleman was attentive. The Burger Was very good and the french fries were the a long home fry cut in the style of thinner McDonald’s type with the skin on. They were very tasty and I add a side order of tartar for them Yum Yum. I passed on the brewskis as I had to drive home but my wife had a light ale and seem to enjoy it. Overall a thumbs up but definitely geared more for a pub or sports bar crowd.

A little neighborhood gem. Great prime rib on Fridays, breakfasts. Friendly staff, friendly crowd. Put the phones down people and look up around you!

Food is very good! Staff is great, love going here with a group and alone! Thanks for coming back to Ballard!

I love this bar. The chicken wings are amazing and they have a great choice of beer. The staff are really friendly and make you feel very welcome. Great place if you just want to chill out have a beer and watch a football game etc.

Went there for lunch with a co-worker. Casual place that has great burgers! Within walking distance of many businesses in Ballard.

My mom and I stopped in after a fun day of shopping in Ballard, and this place did not disappoint !! Waitress was very sweet and very attentive, great music looked like lots of regulars.. it was clean and chill. I ordered the Jr Dock Burger w/fries and tarter!! YUMMINESS , wonderful favors , the burger was perfectly seasoned, bacon, cheese and the pickles went just perfect together I usually only eat 1/2 of my burger but it was so great I almost ate it all, those pickles were so good, looked hand cut - it was only 8.99 and came with wonderful crispy but soft hand cut fries, we both never like or eat fries, but we both agreed these were extremely good, my mom took the left overs home to dad :) She had the Reuben and if I think I am hard to please... my mom is VERY hard to please, she could not stop raving about the tenderness and flavor of the meat !! Had a nice tasty draft beer to go with the meal, nice selection of beer.. To make it just a really fun day a couple of ducks came to the door , very sweet my mom got a real kick out of them. Thank you B.A for a wonderful end to a great day!! we will be back :)

They have a great burger called the Dock Street burger, yummy! Their fried chicken is also very tasty. The waitresses are always so nice. Their 3-7 HH is awesome too!

I love Bad Albert's. I go here very often with my roommate. The happy hour deal is LEGIT, 1/2 off the appetizer menu which is basically a full meal menu, not just finger foods. I am a wing snob and THE WINGS ARE THE BEST I'VE EVER FOUND. They are all GIANT drumsticks, and you can easily get full off one order. I highly recommend the Bacon Wrapped Asparagus, Fish Tacos, Wings, Mini Pizzas, Buffalo Crawfish, Spaghetti Night, Steak Night. That's just what first comes to mind yet I have never had a disappointing dish there. The service is phenomenal. The management takes so much pride in the quality of the food and every visit is CONSISTENTLY super satisfying. I like the reggae rock playlists and the lighting that isn't too bright. It's never too busy or loud and the local crowd is a good group. What more can I say... I could say a lot more, but seriously just go and get some food here. If you live close by like me, you may find yourself cooking a whole lot less!

They gave Bad Al's a little facelift inside but still has that welcome feeling just without the bad jokes of yor. It is still a nice bookend of old Ballard Ave. They did a nice remodel without losing the feel, just less bad jokes by the new owners. After many years of good tiimes, good people, and great food this is a welcome sight to have again on my list of Ballards best. Nice collection of flat screen tv's, and nice selection of beers as well. Was happy to see they brought back some familiar faces to the kitchen and the food was still great. Truly a better and badder Bad Albert's is back on the Ave. once again.

Service was prompt and attentive. The Burger was very delicious. Fries were good but could have used a few more. Had the Dock burger and fries with a side tartar sauce for fries.

Very good, plump fried oysters. Nice breading and good flavor. Basic car with friendly service. Would go back and try the wings.

There are a lot of choices on where to have a beverage and bite to eat in Ballard. Our car was parked across the street from Bad Albert's which was the only reason we tried it - and there were no regrets. I had a couple of great tasting microbrews from the Pacific Northwest and my wife had a local apple cider (a bit too sweet for her taste but very nice apple flavour). We ordered some chicken wings as we had entered the magical realm of 'Happy Hour' and they were half price. Turned out to be some of the best wings I've had in many, many years. A bit crunchy and with some good heat to them. Ended up eating a Reuben sandwich which was awesome. The house horseradish was most excellent. My wife had a very good Cobb Salad. Very nice service, a happy clientele made up of all age groups, and lots of TVs for sports (with the volume real low).

Yes...And a happy surprise! We were taking a rainy, early morning walk along Ballard Avenue looking for a place to have breakfast beyond coffee and pastries. Bad Albert's was open so we took a chance. The Bad Albert's scramble with andouille sausage was a great combination of eggs, veggies, potatoes, cheese and sausage. The added touch of hollandaise sauce was very tasty. This is not a place to get a latte, but the coffee was flavorful and fresh, and we got frequent refills. Fat Albert's opens at 7 am. The staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing.

Unique opportunity to have your morning breakfast in a bar. The food is fresh, prepared to order. The menu items have unique names and combinations, making the decision of what to order difficult. The staff is very nice. Price is a little high for what you get, but it's a unique Seattle experience.

We went during happy hour, and it was pretty quiet. They have amazing appetizer deals and a pretty good band. It was a little hard to find, but that made it all the better. They had a large selection of beers and ales with some great food. Our server was very attentive and awesome.

Nothing special here. Amazing service, decent food. Although I have had better bar food. You won't regret coming here but I wouldn't go out of my way.

Hang out! The food is awesome and the staff is even better! These wonderful people sponsor the LunaChix softball team from lower woodland softball complex. What is good? My favorite is...the Greek salad and Primerib! Yummy! Thank you for coming back!

I love finding a great place that’s also a supreme value. If you live in Seattle this will become a Monday night tradition. If you’re visiting Seattle and want to save your mon

Bad Albert’s has been around for a long time. That’s because it’s so good!! This is no ordinary bar food joint. The chef is creative by keeping up with evolving food tastes and the drinks are solid. Standard fare such as burgers are well portioned but then consider the fish burgers made from very fresh fish, & simply the best home made veggie burger. It’s real food at a great price. The 15 or so tv screens also assure you’ll never miss a game!

Game scheduled for a venue across the street - and a group of about 50 was “stood up” for a 9:30 am start. The group migrated to Bad Albert’s, who had only 2 employees at the time. They were FANTASTIC in preparing drinks and breakfasts to the unexpected large group. Drinks, food - and great socializing (along with a Lehigh victory) made for an enjoyable, serendipitous occasion!

I have been frequenting this joint for many years, almost since it opened. I have always had really good grub here, I have eaten just about everything on the menu and I would recommend anything. The specials are always a good bet, they do something different every day. With over 35 places to eat and drink on Ballard Ave, competition is rough but this place, being a holdout of old Ballard, holds it's own. You feel raped when you eat here, portions are generous, prices are good and the staff is always gracious and attentive. I am a regular here, it is my go to for good old pub grub and I will say, the best burger on the Ave. I know, there may be fancier burgers but for a down home old school burger you gotta try the Dock Street Burger, none better anywhere close. Makes Red Mill's taste like an overpriced McDonald's. The Cuban is really good, salads, doesn't matter, it is all pretty damn good and your pocket book doesn't take the hit of some of the too many hipster joints further up the Ave. One thing you will always find at Bad Albert's is local working class folks, serious amount of regulars here, and for good reason.
Tasty
Great food! Really nice people! There’s only one guy in the kitchen, so it took a little time to get our food (group of 11) but it was worth it.
