Place was nice food was ok I had the seafood soup and ginger stir fry Both were good My friends like the place better

extensive menu, good service

By georgia h |

The menu includes something for everyone. I was happy with the fried pumpkin, and with the chicken satay. Prices are reasonable and servings generous. Service was fast and cordial.I thought the sauces were especially good and the chicken was perfectly prepared. The pumpkin is satisfying and rich even though the preparation is not elaborate. Everything seemed fresh. This is advertised as the first Thai restaurant in Seattle (1984)

Great Flavor, Generous Servings

By 24deroad |

At the end of a long day of sightseeing, we walked from our hotel to Bahn Thai. We were very pleasantly surprised. We shared blanket prawns, larb gai, and basil chicken with brown rice. All were delicious. They offer 5 levels of spiciness. The servings were very generous. We struggled to finish it all and left quite satisfied. The service was attentive. The $35 bill seemed good for a very satisfying dinner in downtown Seattle. The decor is attractive. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Great Thai!

By Blessed |

This is a great Thai place walking distance from McGraw Hall. They make many of their sauces from scratch and have a clearly marked gluten free options on their menu. Chicken satay was excellent. The place is relatively small and once place was filled hard to hear each other talk. We went early so this only affected the tail end of our meal. Black pudding was very tasty!

Tasty Authentic Thai Food

By ekulandaidyl |

We were staying near this restaurant and decided to eat here on our final night in Seattle. We were not disappointed - the service was efficient and food tasty. The restaurant was filled with people and testament to a good restaurant.

Still good after thirty years

By permareperterras |

This restaurant, started by one brother, and now run by another, is a fixture of the Lower Queen Anne neighborhood, and has been a favorite in the area for thirty years. I had a delightful meal with a friend, splitting two tofu/vegetable dishes and an amazing mix of brown rices. I had a hard time leaving leftovers (but I did). The food was fresh, and cooked just right.

Amazing Thai food!

By A2006QMbarbaraf |

This restaurant was across the street from our hotel and was recommended by a friend & the hotel. Food was scrumptious and service was fine.

These people are thieves!!!

By Jack J |

They charged my account twice! Once for the original amount, and then once for that amount plus the generous $30 tip I added. When I spoke to them, they said it would take several days to reimburse me, to correct their THEFT!!! If you eat here you better pay with cash! These people are thieves!!!

Good value tasty Thai food and lovely team

By Nick S |

Great food and very accommodating, taking time to explain the menu in full. Very reasonable price too. The massaman curry was lovely as were the veg rolls to start. Very good portions.

Fresh and spicy

By melindae91 |

Love love this place. Have been coming here prob 4x a year for last five years. Food is always fresh and expertly prepared. The seafood green curry is divine. Their brown rice has a great nutty quality. And the ginger martini is so tasty. Also the kobacha squash dish is incredible. Make a reservation and you're golden. They get really busy!

Bahn Thai—delicious dinner

By Eileen K |

We decided to try Bahn Thai, “Seattle’s oldest Thai restaurant since 1984,” since it was a short walk from our hotel. Excellent choice. We ate outside on the veranda. The Pad Thai and the spring rolls with peanut sauce were among the freshest and tastiest we’ve eaten anywhere. Service was courteous and quick. Highly recommend.

Great food

By dggh83177 |

We went here because of its location to our hotel and we love Thai food! Excellent food and great service!

A little hidden away, but WE'LL WORTH SEARCHING OUT.

By UKTurkeyTrotter |

Actually it's just behind the Space Needle so, not so hidden. Bust on a Sunday, which says a lot. Good variety of dishes: Tom Yam Kah was excellent, red & green curries and a couple of Pad Thai went down very well. Lovely staff, very friendly, professional efficient. Food came quickly, hot with the stated degree of spiciness, just nicely worming although, you can have hotter if you like. Variety of meats, fish, vegetarian. we didn't have room for dessert. 4 good beers on tap, a couple of red & white wines. Nice atmosphere with outside seating if the weather allows. Will most certainly go again.

Clean and Green

By 23Kilos |

I loved this place! When you walk up to it it looks like a simple house, but the inside is nicely laid out and very chic. They are very vegetarian friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. I had the spicy Tom Yum with Tofu vegetable soup, my husband had drunken noodles with Tofu (not on the menu but they didn't bat an eye when he asked for it), and a colleague had Tofu and cashew. All dishes were excellent with great flavors and perfect level of spicyness. Service was quick and easy. I highly recommend this place.

Great Food Terrible Service

By Dutchtraveler11 |

We are regulator customers as we enjoy their food but recently extremely disappointed in their poor service. Basically, we were rushed out of the door in an hour with a $300+ bill for 4 persons. I sent an email twice with some constructive feedback and ideas to improve but never received a response. Went in last night and asked the manager for their correct email address. I was simply ignored. Looks like they don't care for customer service. Very sad.

Authentic Thai

By VoodooNinja |

I eat here every time I come to Seattle. Their Tom Yum is very good as is Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles. Highly recommend you go here when in Seattle.

Nice Local Thai Restaurant

By William R |

Great little Thai restaurant tucked away in the corner of the shopping center in Mill Creek. I've dined in and taken out on many occasions and the food is always very good. Owners are very friendly and restaurant has a nice atmosphere.

Among the best Thai restaurants anywhere at an affordable price

By NoPegasus |

Bahn Thai is possibly the best Thai restaurant I've visited anywhere. The atmosphere is authentic, the menu is easy to navigate, the specials are definitely worth getting, and fellow customers enjoyable to be around. I ordered the chicken basil, which was the special that night, and really enjoyed it. Prices are generally quite low compared to other neighborhood restaurants.

Well worth a visit

By Katie H |

Another restaurant we were going to was closed, so headed here. We had Pad Thai and grilled pork….super flavorful! I would come back here anytime we’re in the neighborhood!

Poor experience that could have been much better

By drrosenthal |

Me and my 3 coworkers went here for dinner. We were surprised that even though we were eating in we had to order at the counter and pay first. I understand that they want to use styrofoam containers to serve the food, but they actually served the food so why not allow us to order from the table and pay when we were done. I ordered the Pad Thai with shrimp. It had good flavor but it was overcooked. 50 percent of the noodles were all stuck together that I literally had to use a knife to eat if I wanted to but chose not to. My coworkers said their food was good. I personally would not return here.

The Best Thai in Seattle

By do25100 |

We were told is was “good Thai food”… this was an understatement! Some of the best Pad Thai and Pad See Ew we’ve had and no doubt the best in Seattle. We were lucky enough to get seated without reservations - the service was excellent.

overrated, or maybe an off night

By ACTtherapist |

We love Thai food, and I have lived and worked in Thailand in two different phases of my life, and this place was highly recommended to us by many staff at the nearby Hampton Inn. The atmosphere was cute and the service polite and attentive. But there were a few serious issues that do not allow me to give this place a good rating and we were puzzled as to why it ranked so high among Thai restaurants in Seattle; maybe it was an off night, the wrong person in the kitchen? First of all, we were told they were "out" of spring rolls. And it was quite early in the evening. My fork was dirty, with some rice petrified to it (quickly replaced when I asked them to do so). Then my husband requested noodles with his dish instead of rice. First they brought him brown rice instead of noddles which they corrected when he reminded him he wanted noodles. His noodles were not cooked properly and were just a mess. In addition, my rice (how can you mess up rice????) was rock hard and globbed together. It was not "sticky rice" but very improperly cooked, almost inedible hard rice. His curry and my cashew chicken sauce were okay, good, but nothing special. I hate to give a not stellar review, the place was cute and obviously popular, but I would not eat here again.

Local Thai That's Authentically Delish!

By seatowngetawaygirl |

This Thai restaurant has been on Roy Street in Lower Queen Anne for a long time (1985, I believe). The building itself is unpretentious, but has a certain vibe. But the service is what makes this place special - well, that and the food! The menu is diverse and reasonably authentic, but if you just want a good ole' Phad Thai, that's great, too! Never had mushy noodles or overly dry Phad Thai (yuck!) Also must try the deep fried veggie rolls. They're spectacular! Pricing is reasonable, and their take-out is reliably good, too. Great for those late-night cravings or a family dinner on the go.

Excellent thai food

By Chris B |

We had red curry with tofu, and massaman curry with mixed vegetables. Both tasted good, and the vegetables were nicely al-dente, not overcooked. We could have had them much more heavily spiced. I came here using a mobility scooter. There is no wheelchair access, so we parked the scooter round and walked up a flight of steps to get in. The decor is similar to what you see in other Asian restaurants, though the mural next to us was a signed and dated painting of flowers, which was a nice touch.

Solid choice for Thai

By myklrl |

Nothing unusual here....just a good solid selection of standard Thai food offerings in a cozy setting with average prices. We felt the portions were very reasonable and enough to share. Service was prompt and friendly. Recommended if you are in the area with a craving for Thai food.

Disappointing

By Rich |

Curry was not good at all and not traditional. Very disappointing. The service was good but I won’t return.

Travelers delight!

By Karen S |

Great food that was quick and easy! Stir fry was fantastic! Quick walk from our hotel and friendly staff.

Yummy!

By lilbsmom |

I had dinner here recently with a friend and it was delicious! I had the Shrimp Pad Thai and they spiced it perfectly. We also had the spring rolls as an appetizer which were good too. I forget what my friend had. It was some kind of chicken dish with a brown sauce, which she really liked. The service was super polite and attentive. The atmosphere cozy and warm. I'd definitely go back!

One of the better ones in Seattle

By CTheWorld |

Have dined + picked up food from this restaurant several times. Food has always been good. I would say one of the most authentic ones in Seattle. Place is clean and service is usually very friendly. Would have to take one star off for the last pick up experience though. The person who handed the food seemed to be very unfriendly. Would go back though. People have the right to have a bad day 😊

Dinner

By Karen B |

Very good food. Great service. Drunken noodles was a little spicy for mild, but Bahn Thai fried rice was excellent.

Best Thai Food We've Ever Had

By TMC_916 |

We've had lots of Thai food. Some great, some good, and some not so good. This place was off the charts great. We had their chicken satay app, fried tofu app, Phad Thai, and See-Ew. Utterly fantastic. Flavors were big and bold but only as spicy as you wanted. Chicken was cooked perfectly. And that peanut sauce... so good!

Nice Thai

By dd220786 |

Very good and authentic thai food. The restaurant itself is quite dark inside and not that “cosy”. The furniture and settings needs a bit of an update. Nice staff

Great Thai Food Close to the Space Needle

By Patrick P |

After a nice trip up to the top of the Seattle Space Needle and a tour of the Museum of Pop Art we found this restaurant within 3 block walk. Dined outside after ordering inside. Pa Nang Chicken done well. Great curry and spice. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Ordered appetizer and two

By Traveling Gal |

Ordered appetizer and two dishes. Appetizer was good but main dishes were not prepared correctly. When we asked the server, he apologized and promised to have them correctly prepared. About 4 minutes later he came back with the dishes. Was very dry and no flavor (obviously not created from scratch). We were charged extra FOR RICE! Never ever been charged extra for rice. When we spoke to the manager, he was rude and more interested in getting home than what feedback we had to say. Food - 2, Management - negative 3 stars! Eat here at your own risk!

Great

By Fiona S |

All great, appetisers and desserts well worth including and lovely service. Lots of variety for everyone. Highly recommend

Somtum!

By Taramas W |

Great restaurant. Fresh tasty Thai cuisine. Very friendly attentive staff with a very authentic classic Thai setting. The decor is lovely. Made me miss my hometown! Very satisfying meal and would very much recommend. Love somtum Thai salad!! Yummy!!!

A very good Thai restaurant in Seattle.

By two2014 |

The food is delicious authentic Thai Food. The staff are very friendly. The food came in a big portion, I, therefore, couldn't finish at the restaurant. Anyhow, the leftover can be packed and take home. The price is reasonable.

Good quality menu

By undercovercarrot1 |

The range of food at this thai restaurant is possibly a little more limited than others, but what is there is superb. Well cooked, generous portions and tasty!

Good choice for Thai... with one caveat...

By Sinner69 |

I did a takeout order so I can comment on service, etc... but the decor was very nice. I ordered the Penang curry with chicken with a side of jasmin rice. The curry was thick and full of coconut flavour, but the cooks put in too much sugar. It had a cloying effect where it blocked out the flavour of lemongrass and kefir lime. There was an abundance of chicken breast in e curry.

Great local thai restaurant in an old house

By Helen S |

Good food and ambience. They allowed us to choose the level of spice. the fresh spring rolls were amazing .

AMAZING

By Ren P |

The food was really great! The atmosphere was also very nice. It was one of my favorite places in Seattle...and that is saying something!

Best Thai I’ve had!

By mea_yow |

I ordered the pork pad see ew and it was the best I’ve ever had! The noodles were amazing! The restaurant’s atmosphere was peaceful and service was good. The only downfall were the stairs we had to go up with a stroller to get into the building.

stay out

By Nir D |

the food is not more than ok. the waitress can't speak an understandable English. the noodles are 1cm long.

Great Green Curry Thai Spiced

By Pounderrj |

Very Good Authentic Thai Green Curry - super spicy and tasty. My son and daughter had milder curry which was also delicious. We all enjoyed the family atmosphere. Good price too

Authentic Thai food at it's best

By Kevin K |

Friendly atmosphere and smiling faces greet you when you come in the door. A very nice selection of appetizers and main dishes makes for a hard decision what to choose. I had the medium heat Tom Kar soup (delicious) and the yellow curry medium spicy chicken and white rice. Everything that my group had looked wonderful and was way more than we could eat. I highly recommend the food. The restaurant is the original and oldest in Seattle and some of the lighting is a little sketchy. That's the only reason it doesn't get a 5.

Ok Thai on Queen Anne

By Alec D |

We tried the Phad See Iew with chicken and broccoli and noodles, it was OK. We also had the Tofu fresh rolls with were fairly dry. Based on the good reviews it was a bit disappointing. We'll try again and hope for a better experience.

superb flavors

By JERE J |

I've eaten in Thai restaurants all over the world. This had excellent flavors that melded together, as they are supposed to. worth a visit and I will return on my next trip to Seattle.

Good Thai

By Stephanie-L1111 |

I like Thai food, this was just down the street from my hotel, so I tried it. Good foot, good service, well worth it

Unimpressed

By Shannon W |

Went for lunch. Loved the complimentary rice soup they served. Flavor of food was good, but dishes weren't as hot as we would have liked, almost as if they sat for a while before being brought out to us.

Great Food

By Ian G |

This restaurant was across the road from our hotel. The food was excellent in fact I would of given it a 5 star rearing if the service was better. I love Pad Thai so I always order off the menu. Good Pad Thai always means the Thai food will be good. The Pad Thai was excellent!!!

Decent Thai food

By loveDCA |

Bahn Thai is located in a renovated house off Roy St with a relatively large dining space. Service is quick and attentive, but the quality is ok compared to other Thai restaurants in the area.

Limited lunch menu but great dinner menu

By Brian G |

While the lunch menu left things to be desired the dinner menu made up for it. Jungle Curry, sweet/spicy, my two favorites were available making me smile inside and out. Great flavored curries in red and green.

Great food, great service

By BriMan |

As a business traveler, I like to get in and get out -- and I want high quality food. This place is great. The staff is friendly. The Thai is fabulous. This area of Seattle is great because it's off the tourist path a bit so restaurants survive by being able to bring in the locals. This place has been around awhile. All the traditional Thai food you would expect. And as far as Pad Thai goes, they do a really good job. This is a single room eating area , and it's great for lunch -- especially if you can sit by the window because lighting is a bit dim. No WIFI is available.

Delicious

By perrythomas034 |

Went here for a weekend getaway The food was good and tasty. The ambiance was pretty good and beautiful. The staff behaved well and I highly recommend this place

Excellent service

By RoyaltyC |

The shrimp pad thai was huge with lots of shrimps. The staff was friendly and service was prompt. I sat outside and quite a few bugs landed in my water.

Great innovative Thai Food

By Martin L |

What can I say other than: GO THERE, lunch, dinner; it doesn't matter. Food is good! Great little pastries and nice bar scene

Good choice for lunch

By Sujata410 |

Went here for dinner and lunch during a business trip to Seattle. Service was friendly both times. The combo lunch choices are very generous portions and I loved my Penang curry which came with rice, pad Thai, a roll and soup! Highly recommended for what you get!

GREAT Thai!!

By jacquelinesusong@gmail.com |

I took my daughter who loves Thai food to this restaurant after a day of tourist attractions by the space needle. I don't even like Thai and this was sooo good! I tried it based on the reviews and they were right, I did not disappoint! Great food with great service. A very nice ambiance in a super clean and lovely environment. We had been traveling g on the west coast for 5 days and it was the best meal we have had. I highly recommend!

Great experience

By Jaime U |

Very friendly staff. Everyone was pleasant and polite My server was patient and helped me decide on a traditional dish. Loved the decoration and the house feel. Felt like going to eat at someone's home Fried tofu and rice noodles with chicken. Medium heat. Very good .

Not particularly impressive

By wroughtironron |

My wife and I ate here whilst staying in a nearby hotel. The glass of wine my wife ordered (chardonnay)was tiny for the $8 (with tax), and the vegetarian drunken noodles dish looked awful, with big lumps of noodle ? I had sea food padh thai which was ok, but nothing to make me want to try it again. Service was polite but the meals took overly long to arrive. Bill came to $38 plus tip for two mains, 1 glass of wine and a can of MinuteMaid

Good Thai in a quiet setting

By MeghanAnnRose |

My husband and I came here for a late lunch. We sat outside and were treated to some delicious food. The service was quite good. The proximity to the Space Needle and Queen Anne neighborhoods makes this a great place to stop.

Perfect stop for lunch...

By Todd C |

So the family just came in from WNY and being a few hours behind here, we neededvtasty dinner at lunchtime. The Bahn Thai did not disappoint. Recommended by the hotel, we opted to try it out. The Pad Thai was filling and tasted great...oh wait..I forgot to mention the eggdrop soup....gone in 60 seconds from all 4 of us! All four meals, a variation of chicken, beef or pork from any one of us was done perfectly. It was more than enough for a dinner, but at lunchtime prices. Decor was cozy, food was fast and seervice great! Would definitelly eat anything there again.

Breat Thai

By fredruth |

Nice ginger martinis to start. Gyosa make with chicken were great. The menu was very authentic Thai as were most of the staff. God location close to Maxwell Hotel and Seattle Center.

Excellent Thai food

By Mktpro99 |

I had the drunken noodles with chicken. Plenty of food and served hot. The Thai beer goes well with this meal. Ate out side on the veranda. Friendly service.

It was ok but...

By Maureen1020 |

We recently went to the Opera in Seattle and wanted a Thai restaurant within walking distance from McCaw Hall. We are so spoiled with a fabulous Thai Restaurant in Poulsbo, WA (We live in Silverdale). I ordered the Drunkun Noodles and was not impressed. I would not go back.

Very good Thai dishes

By MaineGuy777 |

We enjoyed our meal at this attractive Thai restaurant in the Queen Anne section of the city! The dishes that we had were very good and the portions generous. The soups we’re tasty (half orders were about $6) and they made them vegetarian and very mild. The huge portions of pahd woon sen ($13) and eggplant tofu ($15) we’re quite good, as well. Brown rice ($2) and white rice ($1.50) were extra. The service was friendly and excellent, overall.

Authentic Thai

By Luke M |

On a cool night in Seattle we we looking for something warm & hearty, Bahn Thai met our requirements. Very good Beef Paneng curry with rice & the Chicken Pad Siew was generous & flavoursome. The restaurant was busy but they had a table for us straight away, the service was good & the atmosphere was good too. Nice suburban dinner reasonably priced. Easy to recommend for a good Thai meal.

Great Pad Thai

By daisylooHamilton |

We had dinner here our last night in Seattle and really enjoyed it. We especially loved the Pad Thai - one of the best we have had. The service was quick and friendly. It seemed to be a popular place to eat.

Great location! Great food!

By sbwilliams10 |

So good! Great service. Sat on the patio. Indoor dining not open. Fantastic mojitos, even better food! I highly recommend!

Horrible Service

By 0627Pam |

We decided to try this restaurant tonight as it was close to our hotel and the reviews were positive. We walked in and it was not too busy so we were seated fairly quick. Our order was taken, then more people arrived. 50 minutes later 2 of our 3 dinners arrived. We had asked several times why other people were getting their food before the 3 of us. The excuse was given that it was the kitchen's fault. My dinner was inadvertently given to the table next to us so they had to re-make mine so 15 minutes after my friends were eating their dinner, mine arrived. It was delicious but........the wait and the mistake was a bit too much. My partner ordered a "3" for "hot" and her dinner had zero spice. Flavor was good but again......no heat. The final straw is that we had to go up to the cash register to obtain our bill......we asked if they were going to give a discount due to all of the issues and we were told no, it was the kitchen's fault. We probably will not visit this establishment on our next visit to Seattle.

Yummy Drunken Noodles

By k847 |

A great find in a more of a residential neighborhood about 3 blocks from the Space Needle. The food was delicious, attentive service, and tasteful decor. It was filled with people on the Friday evening we went. Red curry was okay, but their drunken noodles were really good. Note that their curries do not come with rice, you pay extra for it.

Seattle's best kept secret

By William O |

On Roy St not far from the Space Needle was this fine restaurant. When you are there, you feel as if you are eating in a museum. Their art pieces are quite unique. And the food is right out of Thailand. Delicious.

Great meal!

By Shaybly |

Had dinner here the other night as a solo traveler. Everything was good, fresh and service good also. Had one drink, very strong (which I like). Parking was a hassle, found a spot a couple of blocks away. They advertise parking in back, but that was not really an option. Had fresh spring rolls and Red Chicken curry. Both very good. I'd probably lower the sugar content of both dishes though if it were up to me.

waited an hour and a half for two entrees

By Ava |

we came in on a sat night around 6- typical rush time. i work in the industry too so i understand wait times but this was a little ridiculous. when we got our food, my mother got her food about 20 minutes before my entree came out. i would’ve appreciated some transparency about the long wait for food or any communication in general. food was very good, but not worth the long wait time.

Excellent food

By celine300 |

I stayed at The Staypineeapple hotel and it is a few blocks from there. It is small . The service is excellent and we see local do take out . I had chicken satay and we had seafood patay. Very reasonable price.

JOBAH

By JOBAH |

For sure one of the best Thai restaurants in Town! Service, taste of food.. Park a car just across in a small parking yard with a funny box where you have to put $ notes.

Nice situation

By MESAllentownPA |

We loved outdoors and the food was awesome! Great service e and drinks! The meals was good size and not too large! Please visit

Colorful and delicious

By L B |

Excellent Thai food ; every dish was beautifully prepared. Compared to many Thai restaurants we have tried, there were Many more vegetables and variety of them in each dish. We eat Thai food a lot. Spice levels of 1-5 here, we went 1 lower than we typically order, not knowing how the levels compare to others. We were glad we did that. I’d say they are on the higher end of the spicy scale. Portions were large; dishes could have been shared even with a large appetite. Service was great. Highly recommend.

Amazing - best I've had in a long time

By ThomasT |

Casual intimate atmosphere, very attentive staff. I had some of the best Phad Thai that I've had in many years, and the other 5 in my group were equally impressed with their choices. We ordered entrees but easily shared them family style. Several thai and ginger-based beverages round out a really tasty (and spicy if you want!) meal. Very reasonable price for the high quality.

The Last Supper

By RoundRockTravellers |

Helped to move my son to Seattle to start his career and had to catch an early flight back to Texas the next morning. We ate at Bahn Thai for our last supper and wow, food was amazing! Had the Blanket Prawns and Gyosa (pan fried chicken and vegetable dumplings) and both were delicious! For our entrees, I had the Prawns and Green beans with brown rice and it was outstanding as well. My son had the Pahd Thai and no need for a doggie bag. Meal was prepared just right (i.e. green beans perfectly cooked). Highly recommend Bahn Thai for first or last supper while in Seattle!

Love love love

BEST THAI in SEATTLE

By Jennifer G |

We had take out and it was very good. The chicken pho is fantastic like the fried rice meals. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and for Seattle a good price and huge portions.

Awesome Thai food, also one year later.

By MonikauTho |

One year ago I went to this place because it was opposite to our hotel. The portion sizes were huge and even my hungry brothers couldn't finish it. Note: spicy is spicy, medium is absolutely enough for one who usually puts tabasco on his pizza ;-) Better try a milder version. The chicken sticks as an appetizer with an authentic peanut sauce were absolutely amazing, also today. Being here the second time, we decided to sit outside now, which was even better. The servers were fast and the food was served fast as well. Portion sizes were still large, but we were prepared. The curries come with plenty of rice, free refill included. Both of us were absolutely amazed about the taste, it was creamy, delicious.. we could not get over that. Prices were reasonable for that quality as well. Highly recommended if you are really hungry and into thai food!

Geeat food small prices

By VSOP_AOC |

I was walking by and felt this delicious smell of food. It was lunchtime and I came in. The décor is sober, a bit dark, but cozy. There is a combo menu for lunch and individual dishes to choose from. You can choose the level of hottiness from 1 to 5. 3 was just perfect for me. The service is friendly and the food delicious. Simple, fresh and tasty. The lunch combo is just 12 dollars and includes a soup, noodles, Jasmine rice and the main dish.

Surprized to Discouver a place with Thai Tea Flavored Ice-cream

By Sandie02 |

The Food was delicious, the service amazing, my water glass never emptied! We ended with the coconut ice-cream and fried Bananas which I highly recommend! They also service Thai Tea Flavored ice-cream but at the end of the night no surprise they sold out! I will diffidently return any chance I get. Prices are also very reasonable!

Solid Thai

By armanistyle187 |

Excellent Thai food in lower Queen Anne. Their food is excellent, ranging from appetizers to entrees and house specialties. Spice is well balanced; present, but not overpowering or just one note. Prices are a little on the high side for Thai, but it is Seattle, and the quality of the food is worth it. Be sure to start with one of their satays, there are perfect beginning to a meal!

Relaxing evening with good Thai food.

By Beast0512 |

Enjoyed an evening out with another couple for Thai food. I enjoyed the cashew chicken dish. The meal was well prepared.

great place

By dtctully |

Best pad thai around. Had it with chicken and shrimp. such a large portion, had it reheated the next day. it was just as good

Awesome Food.

By @mosh9250 |

We love Thai food and this restaurant definitely hit the spot. We ordered Pad Thai, Red Curry, Tom Kha soup, Cashew Tofu. Every single item was delicious. We spend a lot of time trying to find parking, only to realize that the restaurant has parking in the back. If you are in the area, I would highly recommend it.

So fresh and delicious!

By frozenshorts |

We walked a few blocks beyond Seattle center and found this quaint Thai food place! We will be back again! It was a beat day and we sat on the deck. There is some construction nearby but once you eat the food who cares! It’s fresh, flavorful and just yummy. We are picky about Thai food and this was delicious! This was nice for a family but could also be a nice lunch date. Check it out! Very friendly service which is always a plus!

Gluten free Vegan friendly

By SaraVeg81 |

Very nice Thai restaurant with a lot of gluten free options and also vegan choices. Price is really good for the food quality and quantity

Delicious Thai

By AmyB_Regina |

We had dinner here on a Friday night. The patio was full but they were able to seat us inside right away. I had the pad Thai with tofu, with a level 3 spice. A bit of kick, but not too crazy. I thought this was a very good pad Thai. Service was quick and we left completely stuffed.

Thai for Two

By lloyda586 |

A delightful gem of a restaurant near Queen Anne. We arrived early (5PM) so it was quiet and not very busy. Service was quick and the suggestions were spot on. By the time we finished and left, the place was packed...a very good sign! We'll definitely go back.

Close to Space Needle, we came here for lunch. We took the set menu, came with soup, Pad Thai, rice, Chicken Gyosa, and Red Curry. It was great, also drinks are cheap.

Great Thai restaurant close to Hampton Inn and the Space Needle

By vmullen65 |

Lovely Thai restaurant- excellent menu, great service and delicious food. We also had Long Island Iced Teas which were amazing. The restaurant is on Roy Street very close to the Hampton Inn hotel so very convenient if you are staying there. We found it by accident and are delighted we did as it was a great dining experience. Give it a try - you will not be disappointed.

Very nice!

By Jo C |

This was a recommendation from the hotel where I was staying. My sister join3d me for dinner and we ordered the Green Curry and Seafood Pad Thai. Medium spice had just a little heat (we could've gone hotter!), but the flavor was delicious. The Green Curry was pretty simple, bamboo shoots and tofu (your choice of protein), but enjoyable. The Seafood Pad Thai was delicious. Service was excellent and the restaurant is lovely.

Excellent Thai food

By NTB10 |

We tried this place because it was within walking distance of our hotel on a recent trip to Seattle. We really enjoyed our late lunch; everything was very tasty. The Pad Thai was delicious and the Thai iced coffee was also a nice treat. We would definitely visit this place again when in Seattle.

Good solid choice for Thai near the Center

By TravelTalk2 |

Our group of six enjoyed our meal. All of the dishes were well prepared with good flavor. They do a decent job of giving heat with their stars (vs. some places where a three star is really a one or a 2 star is really a five). Nice balanced flavors. Service was attentive and dishes came out quickly. Note the place is small, if they don't open the "other side" of the restaurant, so get there early or get reservations on a weekend.

Excellent!

By Jagwater1 |

Our hotel recommended this restaurant near the Space Needle so 10 of us walked over after making a reservation. Greeted promptly when we arrived 10 minutes early and our table was ready. As one can expect, our group ordered many different dishes and everyone raved about the flavors and quality. I dined on chicken and vegetables in sweet chili sauce with medium heat. If I was alone I would have licked the plate clean. Wonderful flavors with the exact heat I requested. If you enjoy Thai food, do not miss dining here!

dinner with friends

By kholfeld |

Decided to try some of the local Thai food. The restaurant itself is a little small and crowded. The wait staff is friendly and helpful and their menu is extensive. The appetizers we started with were delicious. Unfortunately the entree i ordered was raw and had to be sent back, but once properly cooked was very good.

Food - great, environment - so-so

By Maria T |

It is a nice restaurant that serves pretty good and tasty food, no complaints. But what was disappointing it is the restaurant as system. Quality of furniture and toilet equipment is pretty poor. You can see a lot of cracks, evidences of a lot of repairs. There is absence of knifes. And forks look like they were used millions of times. Also you don't feel exactly authentic atmosphere even there is a lot of Asian statues. Especially i didn't like the flashing toilet sign with neon colors like it is a very cheap bar. But all of this is just my personal opinion. This place is full, food is good and workers are friendly. I wouldn't recommend it for romantic dinners, but it is definitely nice place to go sometime. Especially before performance in the theatre.

Great Thai food and dog friendly to boot!

By Jim K |

We were hard pressed to find a restaurant in Seattle that was dog friendly and not a pub. When we discovered Bahn Thai in our Google search, we got in the car and headed straight over to eat. There was parking in the back of the restaurant and outside dining for us. The food was delicious and the service was gracious . I would highly recommend.

First time diner

By Kris K |

My fiancée and I ordered dinner from here last evening. Our now new favorite spot for Thai. Both had tofu, which had a nice bite.

authentic and fulsome Thai food

By Advait6 |

i ordered a combo meal of Chicken Cashew Nut which came in with a complementary soup for lunch. the taste was great with authentic ingredients and came in a big portion. seated outside during the summers and especially complement the ambience and the service.

Inattentive service

By Renee Y |

The food was good, but the service was extremely inattentive. We had a friendly waitress who took our order, but then never saw again. My daughter's fried rice was a bit too spicy, but no one ever checked back in on us. I liked my meal, although it was a bit expensive. It took forever to get our check, however, and wait staff who walked by to go to other tables never acknowledged us either.

Good food, nice spread. good seating available, at a prime location

By DreamerDisha |

Fine dining. Good food customizable to suit your spice needs. Totally loved the food and the ambience.

Best ever

By Careermanzz |

It looks like a two story house with a large front porch. Inside the tastefully decorated restaurant is some of the best Thai food you will find. Two standouts are the green beans and brown rice. I eat brown rice because it is healthier but this rice I would eat again because it is delicious. You will not be disappointed when you eat here.

Delightful Thai restaurant near Seattle Center

By jskncChapelHill_NC |

Excellent Thai food, well-prepared, in a nice setting. The restaurant is an old house, and in the nice weather we ate outdoors, on a terrace above the sidewalk, so it was lively but not noisy. Interesting food included a fried pumpkin appetizer and very good shrimp and salmon dishes. Pleasant service. Convenient to Seattle Center and to the arts venues there.

Fresh and flavorful

By Lise H |

We have been to Bahn Thai many times for dinner, and recently for lunch, before performances at McCaw Hall. It is very pleasant, friendly, and delicious no matter when you go. The food is super fresh and full of great flavors, and the staff just couldn't be nicer. The meals are a good value, with one dish being almost too much for one person.

Excellent!

By mparla |

Both food and service are excellent! Food is very flavorful and reasonably priced! Highly recommend!

Yum!

By Lobfrog |

Tasty, fresh food attractively presented, friendly, efficient service, and a reasonable price. What more could you want?

A good place to get quick, decent volumes of Thai food

By Neil M |

I have been into this place 3 years running. I am a bit of a creature of habit, so each time I fly in to Seattle, I get in around 6pm, checkin to the Maxwell Hotel and go straight into the Bahn Thai for some spicy food. It is a basic decent quality place that sees quite a flow of locals ordering take-out food. Always a good sign. They offer a decent menu with quite a few vegetarian options (for those who want that) and with options of spicy levels (1 to 5) for most meals. This is the US so the volume of food per dish is high and certainly can fill even the most empty of stomachs. A decent place and will remain on my list of go-to eateries.

Outstanding Thai Food and Great Experience

By Achmud |

I hosted 22 folks for an important dinner which turned out great. Everyone enjoyed their entrees, salad and the appetizers. Because of such a large group and the fact that I live in another state, I had to make arrangements ahead of time by phone and didn't know how it would work out. One of the managers, Sean helped me organize the event and gave me a lot of suggestions. He was a pleasure to work with. I ordered the appetizers and salad for the entire group ahead of time and left the entrees for each person to order according to their preference. I chose Bahn Thai because of their very good reviews in Trip Advisor and Bahn Thai not only met the reviews but exceeded them in every way. The restaurant and room were set up in time for our reservation. When you host an important dinner, you want everything to work out and it did thanks to Sean and the entire staff at Bahn Thai. When you get everyone in such a large group commenting on how good the food is, you know you have a chosen well. The food was great across the menu as we ordered so many different items and everyone was enthusiastic. By the way, Bahn Thai has parking in the rear. I am truly glad I chose Bahn Thai.

Delicious Thai Food

By SunnySenior |

Coukdn't wait to dine at this highly recommended Thai restaurant and found the reviews were right on - delicious food. In fact we enjoyed our meal so much we returned the next night. Restaurant is located in an old home with interesting decor. Seating is comfortable and includes a nice front porch seating area. The most popular item on the menu appeared to be Pad Thai . The serving was huge, enough for two, and very good. Service was slower than we like, but once we had our meal it was worth the wait!!

Superior Thai food and decor

By Howard V |

Beautiful setting, excellent food, great service. We returned twice with 2 and with 5 people. The dishes were well prepared and the amazingly seasoned. All dishes were above expectations. Large strong drinks. Very friendly. Fairly priced.

Dinner

By liarosse |

Invited some friends, for dinner, the place was okay, appetizer good, for main course all the foods is too sweet for me. the coconut milk soup is very thick and savory sweet for Panang curry, green curry etc. I think this is following the local taste

Lovely food

By Shelby3007 |

To be honest we were not quite sure what to expect. Yes the decor is plain and basic but don't be fooled. The food was absoultley delicious. We had the best spring rolls we have ever tasted. The pumpkin curry was absolutely delicious. We came across this restaurant because it was around the cnr from where we were staying. It was late so we weren't sure if they would still be serving dinner, lucky for us they were. Well worth a visit if you look past the decor. Food came out quickly and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Thank you!

I really miss good Thai food

By Thomas67_75 |

So I’m back in Seattle for some meetings and ordered a fresh prawn spring roll and of course, the Pad Thai. First, the spring rolls are huge. They are served with a delicious peanut sauce and the veggies are very fresh. I’m not a big prawn guy so I could take it or leave it but the overall, I was very pleased. The Pad Thai was really fantastic. I’m not a hot and spicy kind of guy but I ordered it too mild. I think a 2 or 2.5 heat level (out of 5) would have been better but, the flavors were excellent. And one order is enough for 2 when you get a spring roll also. You just can’t get this quality of Thai food where I live so I must have it when I can and Bahn Thai didn’t disappoint.

Good choice for lunch or dinner

By STL49 |

Very attentive service, excellent lunch combos with large portions. Good location near the Space Needle and other attractions. Few people were there during lunch on a Tuesday. This may be due to people working from home during COVID.

Very tasty meal

By O2046HElindaw |

Enjoyed our lunch. Drunken noodles with tofu was great. The tofu was charred which gave it a good flavor and texture. My partner had the drunken noodles with pork, which he said was delicious. Nice ambience and good service

Fabulous Food, wonderful place

By Gotillyoudrop123 |

We found this place through TripAdvisor. We were staying at the Hampton Inn just a block away. WOW-- best Thai food we have ever had. The restaurant appears to be in a neighborhood of houses and apartments and it fits right in. It is within walking distance of the Space Needle area too. Lovely building and decor and the service was perfect. The menu was a good selection of Thai dishes and we were very impressed with our dinners. I got a fried rice with shrimp dish and our son got the pad thai. Sure do wish this restaurant were in our town!

Excellent Food & Service

By Vacation_Agent_007 |

Located just down the street from McCaw Hall, a perfect place to eat before the show. Terry, our server, was excellent. He made sure to double check allergens and made recommendations based on ingredients that were not listed on the menu. They even made a slight modification to a dish to accommodate allergies in our family, and it was delicious! 5/5 would go back.

Warm family feel, good Thai food.

By buckozFallbrook_CA |

My family of six took a trip looking for Thai food. The Bahn Thai restaurant was found to be very friendly and warm. They were helpful with choosing our meal plan and we all enjoyed the tasty food. We could have eaten more but had to push ourselves from the table.

Thai Rest

By Abrian N |

Best Thai Rest in Seattle. Should try the Spring Roll & Pad Thai. Good ambience & there's a car park for the customers.

Tasty and cute!

By Michele W |

This cute little restaurant was in a semi-residential area but an easy walk from our SLU hotel. Our waitress had great recommendations. We all loved our food - which came out fast. If you’re thinking about having the coconut ice cream - do it! Delish!

Good

By Bendy Leung |

I think it is good thai food in seattle. Pad thai is ok, tom yam is delicious and the special green curry is very fresh and delicious... and the dessert sticky mangi rice is nice

Great Thai food

By Audrey S |

Enjoyed vegetable panang curry with brown rice. Husband had orange chicken with brown rice. Very good. Nice ambience. Pleasant service, attentive but not intrusive. Accommodated substitutions and dietary restrictions. Highly recommend.

Food Poisoning

By Renee S |

Our hotel recommended this spot as the better of two nearby Thai restaurants. Here's what I would say if my son hadn't been sick all night. Spring rolls were decent. I had the salmon in garlic sauce and the dish was not balanced. There was way too much salmon with a fishy unpleasant taste and not enough veggies for me. My son had the pork in orange sauce. The dish was swimming in a gooey sauce and was not good. Then he spent the night and next morning sick, causing us to miss our college tour, which is why we came to Seattle!

Lovely meal on the porch!

By Peg830 |

We walked to Bahn Thai for dinner one night while staying at the Maxwell Hotel. Had a wonderful meal with great service. The sauce they served with the prawn roll was delicious! The man and woman serving were nice and helpful.

Wonderful Food

By Joan C |

We finally made it here after trying a few other local Thai places. This was our corrective experience. The food was fresh and flavorful, very nice staff. We enjoyed our lunch specials. I had chicken with spinach and peanut sauce. It came with rice, pad Thai, and a gyoza. Everything was freshly prepared. So glad we went.

Great Thai restaurant

By Tauna D |

I just happened upon this restaurant as it was close to the hotel where I was staying. It was excellent. Pleasant weather allowed us to eat at an outside table which was lovely. I had the Pad Thai with shrimp. They did not skimp with the shrimp like some places do. Big serving (but not outrageous!) and very tasty - even with ordering it mild. Highly recommend this Thai restaurant if you enjoy good Thai food.

Good food, disorganized service

By Jeff W |

We had dinner here based on several positive reviews and recommendation from nearby hotel. Very good Thai food, numerous combinations on menu. Service was slow initially; had to flag idle wait staff to our presence to take drink order. One glass of wine wasn't delivered until entrées were served and this was after a request. Wine was served with apologies. All in all, pretty good meal.

Best Thai on Ubereats seattle

By BITAZUM |

We've tried a lot of Thai that's on Ubereats and this one is possibly the best. Great taste, generous portions and a spice factor that is a kick in the pants. Recommended!

Great Thai Lunch

By gcole111 |

I flew into Seattle; it was too early to check into my hotel but time for lunch. Bahn Thai Restaurant was just down from my hotel and very good. They had a lunch menu that included soup and Pad Thai; I had the Thai Cashew Chicken and it was delicious. Authentic flavor and generous portions.

Awesome visit for lunch!

By Steve J |

Found this browsing on TripAdvisor. Great, fast service. Food was brought out very fast, and were very generous in size. Ohh, and the food was exceptional! Will come again!

Good Food Near Hotel

By Jan P |

Lots of choices and as always some better than others. Mine .had way too much thick peanut sauce over spinach and noodles. Others liked theirs better.

Delicious and fresh!

By Odyssey468169 |

Amazing Thai food....service was wonderful and the atmosphere was beautiful! Highly recommend! Super affordable for a family and the pad Thai was the best...

Good Thai Food

By lindamonika |

When I crave Thai in Seattle, Bahn Thai is the first place to come to mind. This small family owned restaurant, permeates with the exotic flavors of Thai cuisine. I love that they have a large selection of very tasty vegetarian dishes, at a very reasonable price, and conveniently located within walking distance of Seattle Center.

Very good Thai food

By Mike E |

A quick walk from the Maxwell hotel. Small converted house that feels cozy without feeling cramped. Food was very good and service was good with out being in your face.

Nice place for dinner

By Chaitanya S |

Nice place to have dinner. I am a vegetarian and liked the food. Place was clean, good service and food. Dont remember the name but the first beer on the menu tastes awesome.

Great Thai within the Queen Anne Neighborhood

By Travel80 |

Holly enjoyed the Fried Rice (Chicken) - very Tasty and I enjoyed the Pahd See Iew Pork (wonderfully tender and flavorful noodles). Recommend!

Delicious food and good service!

By Loes |

We had 2 curry’s with rice and a few sate sticks. It was delicious! One of the best Thai’s I’ve ever eaten at! Also the service was really nice and super fast! Definitely recommend!

Amazing Gem

By Iamamburger |

Service was excellent and the food was amazing. Even ordering the pad Thai, all the food was very light and flavorful. One of my favorite restaurants in Seattle!

Great Pad Thai

By Traveler333777 |

Ordered dinner from here, the pad Thai with a side of white rice was delicious! Would recommend for sure. Plus they are also on door dash!

Excellent Food

By jazzgal24 |

Went here based on Trip Advisor reviews and ratings. Thanks everyone, it was great! Walked here for dinner when staying at the Mediterranean Inn. Opted to sit outside where there was still one table available. Good service too. Recommend the vegetarian fresh spring rolls as appetizer and phad thai for main course.

Lunch before the Nutcracker

By LiliM06 |

I really enjoyed the food here. However, this place is super tiny and took a long time to get service. I would come back, but not before a show. We barely made it our seats for the first act. It’s nice to see a place that has survived through so much change in Seattle!

Great food and service!

By Kevin |

We ordered Tom yum soup, drunken noodles and chicken skewers and they are all good. Good favor and really tender meat. Our server, Peter, his service is exceptional, honest, and super attentive. He would made good recommendations on the portions and did not try to up sell you.

Very Good!

By Patty G |

We found this Thai restaurant on Trip Advisor and it was dead on for being in the top picks for Thai food. Clean restaurant very friendly family staff and food was excellent.

Excellent Thai

By Gene R |

We had lunch outside on a beautiful day. Both the food and service were excellent. My wife's chicken curry was excellent as was my ginger salmon I definitely would return.

Quite good

By Tarbrow |

I ate here alone on a quiet Thursday night. It was two blocks from my hotel so I thought why not. It was quite good. I don't normally enjoy eating alone but there were many solitary diners here so I didn't feel out of place. And the food was good. The good. The food. For sure it was fresh and hot and tasted exactly the way it should. Each dish reminded me of when I was in Thailand. The service was excellent and attentive. The smells were divine. And it was very close to my hotel. The bad. Not really any bad. The restaurant didn't blow my skirt up but it did make my taste buds happy. The one thing I didn't see on the menu was Panang chicken, which I love. And no coconut rice. But I might have just missed it. The ugly. None. It was a good Thai restaurant. I recommend it. The spring rolls were very good. And the chicken in the Pad Thai was tender and juicy. Thanks for the great meal.

Supurb!

By dandreassen |

This is a must stop for wonderful Thai food in Seattle. The bonus that it is near Seattle Center makes it a win win for anyone going to a function at the theaters or Opera house. The staff is very friendly and cooperative beyond your expectations. The menu is a nice mix of culinary delights that come with enough flair to the dish, that it makes it wonderful to enjoy.

Quite possibly the best Thai food in Seattle.

By Roberts69 |

Whilst in Seattle on a business trip I fancied a bit of Thai food and so had dinner one evening at 'Bahn Thai'. The restaurant had a good ambiance and the menu was also very good. I started with the Chicken Satay and then I had the Pork Pad See Eww which were both excellent in both taste and quality. Prices were very reasonable with my two course meal costing US$25 inc Tax. I would certainly eat here again and would highly recommend it to any lover of Thai cuisine.

Best Thai food we've had

By cocobch |

No kidding! This is the best Thai food we've ever eaten. We had the special of the night, which was prawns and green beans in a perfect oyster sauce, with the brown rice; and the broiled beef salad. Both dishes were just right. They were spiced to taste. The service was great, and the cocktails (long island iced tea and ginger martini) were perfect. In fact, the ginger martini was so good, I think I'm spoiled for life! Can't wait to come back to Seattle so we can eat at this wonderful Thai restaurant again! There are so many other things on the menu we can't wait to try!

Delicious meal!

By CharlesGrant |

We hadn't been to Bahn Thai in a few years, but went back to night for my birthday dinner. We splurged a bit and ordered more food than we could eat at one sitting: chicken satay, grilled beef salad, chicken yellow curry, and the special panang salmon filet. Everything was excellent! In particular the salmon filet was a generous portion, and cooked to perfection. We have enough leftovers to both have a full dinner tomorrow at home.

Genuine and tasty

By GranZorro |

After driving all day, we just searched for a restaurant near our hotel - there are several, but many of them not really up to par. We lucked out with Bahn Thai, with good food, friendly service, and very reasonable prices.

Dear Lord! Terrible food and service

By David B |

I had a very bad visit. The food was barely edible (I took three bites) but the service was simply awful. Every time she came by to drop off a menu or some soup she very quickly ran away and I could not get her attention to ask her for napkins, a drink, etc., so I spent my whole time in the restaurant trying to get her attention rather than focusing on my meal. I do not recommend this restaurant.

Good Thai

By PierreB13600 |

Room is nicely decorated, service is efficient and friendly. Food was good, nicely decorated. It is not outstanding but better than a lot of Asian restaurants.

Great service and great food!

By Eileen C |

We arrived late, very close to closing time, but were seated and treated extremely well, not hurried at all. The food was delicious. The waitress took our picture for us. The owner came by to make sure everything was okay. Very nice people! They had beer and wine available.

Great come back!

By FBAGoddess |

I've been going to this restaurant prior to attending events in the Seattle Center for 20 years or so.... a few years back it appeared to have been sold and/or taken over by new management. The food went downhill and the service was deplorable. One time I had to cancel the food order prior to them delivering to the table because we didn't have enough time to consume it. It is a restaurant that typically gets a clientele with hard deadlines so that this just wasn't acceptable. We went back to that restaurant recently after a couple of year hiatus. I was very pleased. The food was excellent - hot in temperature and properly spiced - and the service pleasant and timely. If they can keep this up I will go back to it being my mainstay for events. Thank you Bahn Thai.

Delicious, inexpensive and good service...

By froggy618 |

We found this place on TripAdvisor and Yelp. We wanted something near our hotel (Hampton Inn down the block) and it was pouring out. All the good reviews are spot on. Portions are large, the prices are very reasonable and the food is delicious! The service is very good too... attentive and polite.

Great Thai

By Ellesor826 |

We decided to go to Bahn Thai because it was within easy walking distance of our hotel, and by easy I mean like a short block away. The place gets crowded so go early and the food is very very good! We shared an appy of Crab Ragoon which was fried to perfection and quite delicious. For dinner we had our "usual" Thai choices. For me it was chicken with peanut sauce on a bed of rice and spinach - it was a huge portion and wish I could have finished it. For my husband, it was Panage curry with pork. Fabulous. Will always remember this place with for the awesome food.

Excellent

By bornforadventure |

A favorite for Thai food! Really enjoyed our meal and it was relatively quiet and very pleasant atmosphere. Close to the Space Needle.
