Good

Good food and friendly staff. Had a shrimp lime salad w/ avocado. Freshly made and tasty. Also given chips and serve yourself salsa. Seating indoors on two levels.

Very friendly staff!

We visited downtown Atlanta and didn't arrive until after 7 p.m. due to the lovely Atlanta traffic :( Anyways, we needed something to eat and our hotel restaurant was looking quite expensive. We took a stroll downtown and passed a few places that again, were super pricey for what it was. We aren't exactly "tight wads" but we had our 1 year old and it was getting close to bath/bedtime so a sit down restaurant wasn't really in our plans. Also, we didn't want to pay $30 for fast food. Chick-fil-a closed at 6 p.m. (What the world??) so at this point, anything quick was what we needed. We do not have a Baja Fresh where we live, so we decided to go in and look at the menu. It seemed very similar to Moe's so we tried it. The only reason I am not giving this a higher rating is because the lady at the register told me that 1. A bowl was plenty of food to share with my daughter and 2. That the chicken and salsa was not spicy. I could not figure out which of the two were indeed spicy, but it was already mixed together by the time I gave it to my daughter. So because it was spicy, my little girl couldn't eat it. I also had enough to eat because she didn't eat it, but I can guarantee that the bowl would not have been enough to share. I ended up having to order something from the hotel anyways for my daughter to eat. The food itself was actually quite tasty and the lady was still very friendly, even though her appetite might be different than mine, so I would still recommend it!

Good food at a reasonable price

Had lunch one day while in town for a conference. Food was good and the people working the counter were pleasant. The first floor dining is small and a bit cramped but it looked like there was plenty of seating upstairs, just none available at the time we were eating.

Good place to get a quick food

By Raghu R |

We ordered quesadilla, veggie bowl and liked both. There were only two staff members busy with the customers on a Saturday evening. They couldn't provide nachos as they were busy. They have a few varieties of salsa and sauces which were good too

Fast fresh healthy

By Rebeccasue2011 |

Right across from aquarium. Burritos and tacos. Fresh, made to order, inexpensive, healthy alternative fast food.

Was ok

By Lynette K |

Basically to me was fast food with a touch of originality. Mexican fare, good sized portions. Close to hotel for a meal or take out to bring back up to your room.

Nothing fresh

By TheSAJ11 |

there is nothing fresh about Baja fresh! the meat is tuff, chewy, and no flavor. overly priced, there are tons of better places for sure unless your starving and this was the only choice, don't do it!

First time at BF

By Armagh Rose |

Everything was fine about the restaurant except the staff. Even though they were friendly, they didn't do much to greet us when we entered the restaurant...just kinda stared at us as we walked to the register to order. I was the first person to say hello. They were talking on their personal cell phones while bringing guests their food to the tables and we could overhear their personal conversations as they cooked in the kitchen. Not very professional, especially when the restaurant is so small and everything is easily overheard. The food was OK, restaurant is in close proximity to a lot of other local attractions downtown which makes it a great place but please work on professionalism of staff, that could make or break this place.

Very Yummy!

By pskimberly17 |

Not a bad spot to eat american-mexican food! If you want something quick and easy this is the place to do it!

By sukhi504 |

excellent location and nice two level restaurant with standing and sitting options. famous for serving Tacos & Taquitos, Salads, Sides & Kids and beverages . rush at times so one may have to wait for chosen seating. paid parking across in basement available . outside street view from restaurant is superb ! taste very good and and prices comfortable .

If you haven't tried it you need too

By Jerry D |

If you haven't tried it you need to. Its one of if not the best cheap eats around and its healthy too.

Great management

By FriscoScott |

While visiting downtown Atlanta, we stopped in for a quick lunch on 2 May 2014. We had a chicken bowl and a chicken quesadilla, which were good and reasonable. But, even though this is basically a self serve restaurant, the manager was very visible and involved. We only got one meal and he noticed and immediately went to the kitchen and returned with our other meal. He was also attentive to cleaning off tables for other customers as the serving staff/bus boys were very busy. Kudos to the Manager!

First and last time

By 40ishrm |

First time eating at Baja Fresh and last time. Service was poor. Person that took order also was helping prepare food. No gloves being worn by food prep folks. Nasty mop bucket just sitting around. Selected because it was within walking distance. Maybe I'll keep someone else from wasting their money. Eat somewhere else.

Wasted money. Go somewhere else

By Jack D |

We came in as a family and just an awful experience all around. The steak had an aftertaste of the liver I ate in my trip to Colombia (disgusting), the black beans had NO seasoning, and the rice tasted like soggy bread crumbs. The fish tacos were average at best and my sister’s ‘kids meal’ was rejected with fits and whines. The EXTREMELY cold restaurant made the 54 degree weather outside seem like the bahamas. We couldn’t wait to leave. Our 5 person family made a $46 mistake. Be warned!

GREAT FRESH FOOD

By MARY H |

My husband and I love Mexican food and we were so excited to find a BAJA in Atlanta within walking distance of the of the Convention Center.

Great food

By A B |

This place was great. I thought it was just another moes or chipotle and it is to a point but they have jumbo shrimp as a protein and that's a game changer. I love it. My new favorite burrito spot. We need more in GWINNETT

Great Salad a Pleasant Surprise

By Rob P |

Would not have thought a salad was a good choice. It was a great choice. Well made. Friendly staff. Places to sit but I took it back to the hotel. Hilton Garden Inn and others are within walking distance.

Good

By Jaime H |

This was just across the street from our hotel and we were excited to eat here. The air was out the first day we tried to get in but we went back. We ordered alot of food and it was all really good. Chips were free for the taking. Free refills. We enjoyed it!

Decent Food, Horrible experience

By BNCorder |

I know service is dependent from day to day, but my experience was horrible. The restaurant was smoky and hot downstairs (to the point of people leaving). The guy at the register ignored customers to take phone calls while other workers stood behind him doing nothing. We waited in line to order for a very long time. The line went out the door and they lost customers because of it. The guy did not even listen to me when I ordered and input the wrong item (he put burrito...I said taco). This would not be a big deal except that the burritos come with more ingredients that I did not want. Fortunately, the cooks were nice and fixed me the correct meal. The food was pretty good once it was right. It was different from regular "mexican/texmex" places (since it is baja) which I liked!

Solid and dependable

By Chris V |

What you would expect from a fast food Mexican joint. But I have to say, probably the best means and rice I've ever had.

good stuff

By LalaAcharya |

Food is good. Decent quantity. Nothing off the charts but good solid food. Worth your money. Average spending will be ~ 10$.

COLD FOOD.

By fancypants2014 |

We got the fajitas. Evryti g was cold on the plate. The chicken, beans, rice all cold. The veggies were not fully cooked and inedible. Guacamole was good.

First Time

By Courtney H |

We literally circled the building 10 times waiting for a parking spot for this restaurant and it was worth it. I had the quesadillas and they were very yummy! We also got nachos and there wasn't a lot of cheese or beans on them...mostly sour cream and guac but all and all ok. Definitely go back again if given the chance.

Location!

By Emily N |

The location of this restaurant is perfect. It is by the aquarium and the park in the middle of downtown. It is a nice area for sure. The burrito I got was perfect. It had a good amount of chicken and cheese in it. They weren't stingy about the guacamole either! :) They have one of the cool coke machines with all of the flavor options. Chips and salsa come free with a purchase (of like a meal item). The workers were prompt and friendly and the bathrooms were very clean.

Always great!

By 72800407 |

This place is a favorite for lunch. The staff is awesome and the food is always fresh and great. My favorite part is the salsa bar!!! It's super convenient to a lot of attractions in downtown Atlanta too, which is a plus.

Brown Guacomole?

By Daron F |

I have eaten here several times and under most circumstances I would have given Baja Fresh a 4, as they met my hunger pains with semi-fresh foods and a handmade salsa bar. Then they gave me brown guacamole. Of course everyone has off days, but with a moniker that includes the word 'fresh,' brown guacamole is just unacceptable.

Just average...

By kpolleypac |

Beef tasted old, like liver. Staff is friendly and restaurant is clean. I would recommend spending our money at another restaurant, especially in Atlanta where there are numerous options to choose from.

It was Alright

By Nicole W |

Baja Fresh Mexican Grill is located at 250 Park Avenue, West in Atlanta’s Centennial Park District . It is located almost across the street from the Georgia Aquarium, which was part of the reason we found ourselves there for lunch. We were hungry after a day at the Aquarium, but refused to pay the astronomical prices for so-so food there at the Aquarium. We also wanted to eat somewhere within close walking distance, but not just another big chain restaurant that we could get at home (sorry, McDonalds). We both dig Mexican, so…. There are steps – several of them – leading up to the restaurant, located in the corner section of the building. However, if you’re in a wheelchair, or use a walker, you are not left to sit at the bottom of the steps while your friends and family enjoy lunch inside without you. There is a ramp a little further up the street from the restaurant’s door, down past the Subway restaurant entrance. Just be careful easing past the steps up the front of the building – they landing is narrow and that is not a fall you want to take. Inside was bright from all the windows along the east and north walls of the building, and a little crowded (for a wheelchair) from trying to fit so many tables into such a small space, but it was welcoming enough. We went to the counter, placed our order – steak Fajitas for my friend and one grilled Fish Taco for me – and found a table at which to eat. One of the girls there moved a chair for me (and my wheelchair) and I got to sit looking out on the streets of Atlanta, the traffic, and the passersby, which I liked. They moved a chair for my friend (and their wheelchair), them sitting opposite of me, with a view of the restaurant. About six feet away was a condiments bar (different salsas and toppings and such that we ended up not needing) and beside that, some stairs that led, presumably, to more seating upstairs (couldn’t see, and didn’t think to ask). Another girl, just as friendly as the first, brought out a basket of chips to go with the bowl of cheese dip we’d ordered. Our table was clean, and the floor around it, mostly. But it was obvious from the get-go that the food was not the neatest to eat – little pieces of food debris was scattered on much of the floor around nearly all the tables, and on some of the tables. In all fairness, they were pretty busy, so it was a little hard to get out there with a broom and dust pan before someone else sat down at the tables, and both girls apologized for not having the chance to clean up the place more. And, oddly, despite the food littered about, the place felt clean – no sign of bugs or neglect (like thick sheets of dust on the window sills). And the food dropped looked fresh, not like it had been there for hours, or (eww) days. The cheese and chips were ok, but we were both surprised that the cheese was not the expected queso blanco of most Mexican joints but more like the cheese sauce you get with your nachos at the fair or movie theater – rather disappointing. It didn’t help that the air-conditioning in the place cooled the cheese quickly, solidifying the yellow goop. The chips were also small and a little fragile, and there weren’t as many as typically served in Mexican restaurants either, kind of made me think of the chips at Moe’s. After about 10 minutes or so, our food came out nice and hot. My friend made short work of the steak fajitas, said they were tasty. I, on the other hand, took my time savoring my fish taco. I’m not a fan of avocado, but I do like “a little” of it on my fish tacos, so I didn’t request for there to be no avocado, but removed the portion I didn’t want. If you like heat, that will secure it. For the avocado balanced the heat from the pico de gallo – which had an awesome flavor, but also a lot of heat to it. I thought it was wonderful. And the serving size of a single taco suited me quite well – filling me up (obviously I don’t eat a lot) and not leaving me with fish leftovers to take back to the hotel (hopefully before they became a good case of botulism). My friend also finished their fajitas, without leftovers, and was comfortably full. Unfortunately, I didn’t check out the restrooms while I was there, assess them for their accessibility. And while my friend did use the restroom before we left, and to wash-up after the messy but tasty fajitas, and they didn’t complain about any issues encountered, they are also useless at giving descriptions for accessibility – like what kind of stalls, toilet height, sink and paper-towel access. Grrr. Final Assessment: Would I eat there again, yes. Would I recommend it, yeah. It wasn’t great, but it wasn’t bad either. The prices were…ok (a little more than the Mexican joints at home that come with a little more food and actual queso blanco). But it was clean enough, the people nice and helpful, the food hot, fresh, and tasty (minus the chips and dip). And I did like the flexibility of serving size of being able to choose 1 fish taco instead of being stuck with 2 or 3 as a set menu option. I also liked that they had one of those Coke Free-Style machines – allowing me to get a caffeine-free diet vanilla coke. (Forgot to say, friend got sweet tea at first – way too sweet, like Southern sweet. They opted for Dr Pepper instead from the Coke Free-Style dispenser.) Buen Provecho! (Bon Appetit!) Note: had no idea this was a chain – we don’t have them at home. But some of the atmosphere and the menu make way more sense now.

A chain but tasty menu has improved

By nycmom22 |

This was right near World of Coke and I sure needed something savory after all that sweet sweet. The grilled shrimp on salad was great. The salsa bar was better than ever.

Great food, excellent service

By Running Man |

Great mexican food location in downtown Atlanta. Close to everything, with clean dining area, quick service and a varied menu. Great for vegetarians.

Quick , fresh and delicious

By lilrox724 |

We wanted a little "healthier' option and stopped by here after a trip to the Aquarium. It was around lunch time but line wasnt bad and food came out fairly quick. It was my first time at this restaurant. Portions were bigger than I thought. I had the chicken quesadilla and they did not skimp on the chicken! Others in my party, tried the tacos and salad which they also enjoyed. Pricing was reasonable.

Dependable lunch, good value

By kurokitty |

We came here to refuel the little one before heading into the Georgia Aquarium today. In the past I've had the burritos here but today I had the baja tacos with chicken, which were tasty. The combo came with rice and beans. The little one just had a side of rice for $.99 and he enjoyed eating out of the bowl, supplemented by black beans from my meal. The service was fairly quick -- we enjoyed the complimentary chips that tasted fresh -- and I always like getting a diet Coke out of those machines that dispense umpteen different varieties of soda.

It's a Baja Fresh...

By pridkett |

Yup, it's a Baja Fresh. That means it's going to be similar to every other Baja Fresh in the country. The food is good enough and reasonably priced. Don't forget to pick up your basket of chips and get some salsa -- although the choices on our day were nearly uniformly poor with the exception of the hottest salsas. They also have one of the new 50+ flavor coke machines. This makes it worthy of an additional star.

Shocking!

By Bob J |

We walked here after our trip through the world of coca cola. (Next block) It was our first visit to a Baja Fresh, but our friends raved about one they frequented in another state. This little place did not disappoint. Kind of a Moe's feel, but here they bring you the food, and the salsas are much better. We had chicken burritos, taco salads, and tacos. All very good, the tea was good, and the woman who brought our food to our table was very nice. Cheap and very good!

Above Taco Bell below most others

By Kellyexcursions |

Downtown Atlanta with a daughter who has celiac disease was a challenge. At home in Miami, we frequent Chipotle a lot because it's one of the only places she can eat mostly everything on the menu (except the flour tortillas) instead of the reverse. They had only two food selections for gluten-free individuals. The pork and the guacamole. Suprisingly, she couldn't have the corn chips because they cook them there with the other menu items so that was out. What we did eat was low quality and poorly seasoned. We barely got through our not too substantial meal. I read the other reviewer who compared it favorable to Moe's. I agree, but I really dislike Moe's. The CNN food court was no good, so that left us with the much pricier but worth it Legal Seafoods for the remainder of our three day stay.

good for a light snack

By Helayne W |

We needed a quick snack to tide us over for dinner. For $5 ish we shared chips, salsa, guacamole, many salsas and one drink. Surprisingly good for fast food and near Segway, Aquarium and Coca-cola tourist sights.

Good Fresh Mexican

By rwalk1009 |

Great place for lunch in the Luckie Marietta district in downtown. Close to the Georgia Aquarium, World of Coke, CNN Center, etc. Very good, very fresh food!

Delicious, Affordable, and Vegetarian-Friendly!

By Mihir Shah |

Stopped in for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised! The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and full of authentic Mexican taste. With prices under $10 per person, it’s a fantastic value for the quality. The indoor dining area was clean and comfortable, and the service was friendly and efficient. Vegetarians will love the extensive meat-free options—there’s even a dedicated vegetarian menu section, which made ordering easy. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a satisfying, budget-friendly Mexican meal, especially if you’re vegetarian!

Taco's

By sarahgS8683OP |

Fast and decent. I got the chicken nachos my only complaint would be that on my chicken nachos everything was in the middle instead of spread out.

Yum Yum

By Allen H |

Great fresh burrito's and taco's. Friendly staff, clean store, and you pretty much always know what you are getting.

Round 2

By john s |

This is the second time I have went to Downtown for a conference and have visited Baja Fresh. It was just as good as the last time I went. Had the Steak and Shrimp burrito and it was great. Moes and Willys can't touch this place, and you get unlimited chips and salsa!! Baja Salsa was amazing!

Odd

By Donald S |

After several visits with friends, I can only think it is odd. Two ordered salads and there was no lettuce. They asked for it and were told it isn't included in the salad, so they pointed to it on the menu. The excuse was, it isn't listed on the board. They had a shrimp special listed, but when it was ordered said they don't do that any more (so why not take down the sign). One friend asked for cooked veggies, since she has a gluten allergy and they just gave her a bowl of raw onions. Is that sarcasm? A joke? I was annoyed, since I was paying. The food is spotty so after several tries, I give up.

Fresh Food at Bargain Prices

By Agentnumber99_99 |

The food was fresh and the staff extremely helpful and friendly. It's a nice place to stop with the family and get something to eat after the Georgia Aquarium or your visit to the Coca Cola museum. Lots of different varieties when it comes to the sauces. Large plates.

Hated the food

By sblgriffith |

The resturant is in a great location near the aquarium and its very clean inside. The food wasn't very good. The fish was overcooked in the tacos. The shrimp was tasty but overall we left hungry because the food was unsatisfactory.

Yum!

By Mac W |

We are here with out kids. It's goo and clean with great variety for kids and vegetarians alike. Great place if you are visiting the nearby attractions.

Grat food for the price

By Elizabeth.Estelle |

For $20, three of us got plenty of tasty food. We can recommend the Chili Lime Shrimp Salad, Wahoo taco, and Chicken Baja rice bowl.

Soggy burritos

By Jason F |

I used to love going to Baja Fresh, but this experience has changed my mind. Ordered a steak burrito, but the beans were so watery that the burrito was soggy and bland, no flavor, guacamole was runny. Salsa fresca was very bland. Servers were very nice, but food sucked. Would not go back to a Baja Fresh again.

Awesome fast fresh mexican food

By Jen F |

Fish tacos, queso, fresh salsa and margaritas. Yum. We eat here at least once on every trip to Atlanta.

quick

By 56miles |

great american-mexican food. steak burrito and chicken tacos are outstanding. lots of food for a little price.

Wash hands before handing food

By DC_Gale |

Stopped in for a quick bite. Woman working the register helped another customer and then me. After taking our orders and payments she proceeded to walk over the prepare chips by taking her hands (not washed or gloved) and scooping them into the fryer. Makes me question the overall food safety at this location.

Yummy fajitas and free chips

By Ann R |

We were starving after spending the day at the aquarium...and we decided on Baja Fresh. Free chips and good Mexican food was good. They also have one of those lovely drink machines that you can select any flavor that you want. The kids were satisfied with their choices and I had the fajitas. YUM.

Great place for lunch!

By john s |

Food was really good, for a fast food place, had the Diablo burrito and it hit the spot. Service was pretty good too, quick.

Great, fast tacos

By Cyndi G |

The tacos were absolutely fabulous. They do need to fix the air in the place. Unbearable in the summer. Best fast food in area for tourists without a doubt.

Nachos

By shirefolk87 |

I ordered the steak nachos. It was super fresh and delicious. Large portions. Great service. I would definitely eat here again next time we come back to Atlanta. It was conveniently located right around the corner from our hotel.

Great Salad

By Lesterlee927 |

I had the salad with shrimp and chili lime dressing. It was very good. They have all kinds of tacos and burritos with a large variety of toppings as well. I was a very good meal, and very nice people.

Good Eats Close to Aquarium

By Miriam T |

Great, healthy fast Mexican food near the aquarium that wont break the bank. Very short walk from the aquarium in a safe, sunny area across from the olympic park

It was fantastic and delicious

By Mike P |

I had a coupon from Restrauant. com. But the visit was worth it. Located next to Centenniel Park, it was close to hotel and attractions. The food was delicious and wonderful.

Very good option

By Mountain01 |

Had a choice of either this place to eat or subway. Wanted to choose a local place and it was a great choice. Close to the Aquarium or Coke places, this was a very good restaurant, clean, good prices and a quick bite to eat. Three taco with the fish was very good. Seems many local come here to eat.

Good Burritos - Worth Looking For This Place

By Chia404 |

It's kind of off the beaten path so you'll have to look for it. The burritos are certainly worth the search. I've been here maybe half a dozen times now and each time the service has been good and the burritos consistently good.

Great place to grab quick food

By Kermo75 |

Needed to grab some food fast and I was very happy I stopped in. The service was great, everyone was so friendly. Tacos were great, will go back again if in the area.

Food ok, not great

By bec14sewing |

The food here was ok, but each salsa had a "problem"! It was either too salty or too sweet. We tried to order to our liking and it didn't work. My son likes corn tortillas with only lettuce and cheese. She changed his to the Americano which is flour tortilla. It was frustrating! It was ok...not great.

take it or leave it

By Dawn J |

Stopped in for a snack before the Segway tour. The food is just ok, salsas nothing to write home about. The cashier was friendly, but the person that gave us our order was not. I would prefer salsaritas or moes to Baja.

Excellent food & service @ Baja Fresh!

By TomSchlagel |

We really enjoyed our meal here! Our burritos were excellent and were made with fresh ingredients. We liked the sauce bar and we tried all the sauces they offered. Their salsa chips were excellent too! The location is adjacent to the Georgia Aquarium so you can eat before you go in. Lastly, service was fast and friendly! Five Stars!

great quick fresh meal

By sscantrell |

wonderful to find a quick place with clean eating food. nice to order the way you like it and control the ingredients.Great flavors, wonderful salsas. chips that were free were a bit stale but the rest of the meal was over the top.

Nice Surprise

By roswellite |

We were downtown and tried this restaurant on a whim. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The staff was not very friendly or helpful being this was our first visit. The restaurant was clean as were the restrooms. The food was good, a bit pricy but good.

One of 2 in Atlanta....the other is at the Airport

By Coachchadwell |

This was one of our favorite quick bites to eat out in the Western US. The food is cooked fresh to order and usually within season. The grilled chicken is good. They have multiple choices on toppings you can add....I love their Mango Salsa! Best part, it's reasonably priced.

Was not too good

By 74charlie |

I am from California and Baja fresh is one of my favorite restaurants. Whenever I go back to CA Baja Fresh is always my first stop. I have driven many miles to eat at a Baja fresh on the east coast. I used to go to the one in Fort Lauderdale but they are all gone now. I was going to Atlanta anyway so I was glad to see there was still a Baja fresh. When I went I was the only customer in the store at 4:30 pm. The staff was more interested in their cell phones than customer service. I had my favorite, Baja chicken burrito and what a disappointment It was so soggy that it fell apart before I was half way done, this has never happened before at any other store The salsa tasted off and there were no limes. I will be in Atlanta again in two weeks and I will give it another try. (only because I am love it so much) hoping that this experience was just a one time event. I wish these restaurants would come back to the east coast.

Great Lunch spot with fast service

By John S |

We visited Aquarium and stopped by this place. Food was great and place was clean. Pork Ultimo was great and also had tacos with some of the salsa. Mango salsa wow!!

Great food - near hotel

By Travel4Fun465 |

My 2 kids & I ate at Baja Fresh for lunch on a Saturday. We were easily able to walk over from our hotel on Baker Street. We order 2 orders of fajitas and 1 cheese quesadilla. The meals each came with a small side of chips. The chips were really good. There is a salsa bar for you to pick what salsa you want and how much of it you want. Overall the food was good & fresh. The service was really good -- super friendly! The seating area downstairs is tiny and the upstairs was roped off when we were there.

After the museum...

Great fast and fresh little Mexican place! Got a tostada salad with chicken and ate it all! Will definitely swing by for a quick bite again!

not my favorite

By lindas286 |

limited menu. fair food. not my favorite place to eat. kind of boring to me. My friends all like it but I am not a fan.

Always delicious

By panpanda |

Eaten here many times when visiting the nearby Georgia Aquarium or the National Civil Rights Museum. The food is fresh and delicious. Endless chips and a salsa bar are a nice touch.

Fresh and inexpensive!

By Linda L |

Chain with fresh tasting food. You can do a bowl if you don't want the usual burrito or taco. They have a toppings bar with salsas with different amounts of 'heat'.

Great value right beside the aquarium. Quick and easy!

By luv2gogogo |

When visiting the GA Aquarium, you can have your passes stamped to go out for food and come back in. We have always done this, as it allows for better food choices and a quick nap. The Baja is right next to the Aquarium beside the HIlton Garden Inn and is a great easy in and out (not crowded) option so you can be back to the Aquarium in the hour they allot you to leave and return. The food is typical Baja fare - - love the fish tacos and all the salsa choices. Kids plates are reasonable and offer 3 choices - cheese quesidilla, chicken taquitos, or burrito all served with rice and apple sauce and juice. There is an ice cream store right beside it if you want to top it off with desert and then walk through Centennial Park.

Chips for Free!

By NFamily2015 |

Reasonable prices and wonderful food choices. Big burritos and good children's menu. Huge plate of rice and beans!

Standard Baja Fresh

By loveDCA |

The menu is the traditional Baja Fresh offerings and I ended up going with their fish burrito which was pretty good. Service is actually really nice for a fast food joint that is just around the corner from the Olympic park.

Delivers to Hilton Garden Inn Midtown - never again

By Meanderin |

I ordered and had two burritos, a steak taco, cheese quesadilla and a container of "queso" delivered to Hilton Garden Inn. The food was cold and disgusting and appeared to have been sitting out all day. The wraps on the burritos and tacos were rubbery and unappetizing. Though it didn't take long from the time I called to place the order, until it was delivered, the food was awful!! What a waste of $31.00 plus a tip for the delivery guy. I should've just ordered room service. At least if the food was bad I could've at least sent it back. The only positive experience with the good delivery was the delivery guy was nice.

Consistently good.

By Scott B |

I come here a lot because it is close to the office. It's consistent and the food is fresh. Service goes up and down but it's still pretty good.

Are here after visiting the aquarium

By Anne K |

food arrived cold. Noticed salsa needed to be replaced. Service was fast. Excellent guacamole. Probably a good spot for hungry kids. Not so much for adults

Just Ok

By Paula A |

I went ate here one evening because I was staying close by and didn't have a car. The food was just ok. I ordered a salad and really wasn't too impressed.

Cold and tasteless

By REW135 |

Horrible selections and the fajitas were very cold and had very little taste. Rice was hard and black beans were the worst I ever had. Opening a can would have been a better option.

Convenient location

By celliott0406 |

We had just arrived in downtown Atlanta and were staying at the Hilton Garden Inn. We were tired from driving from North Carolina and did not know where to eat.. We looked across the street and there was Baja Fresh. The food was great but the two people that served us went the extra mile. They made sure that we had everything we needed and were just genuinely kind. I wish we had gotten their names but we were there in the evening of August 14. They may remember me because I left my sunglasses there and went back to get them the next day. I hope someone in management reads this and gives his two employees that were working that shift some kind of recognition for a great job. Thank you.

Nice people but food not the best

The place leaves a lot to desire. We ate upstaIrshad and was gloomy. I can't really explain how the food taste. $25 for 2 people and hit the trash. The stairs need to be fixed up. I don'the even want Taco Bell after this.

Quick and good food

By danielle_barr0313 |

I went here for lunch and got the tostada salad. I was impressed. Lots of good flavors. Also quick service which is nice when on time constraints.

Quick lunch

By Michelle H |

The location was ideal to our hotel at Hilton Garden Inn, the lunch was busy and the ordering process was a little confusing, but the food was good and delivered quickly.

Very good experience!

By Sheena V |

I am an obsessive planner and budgeter and as a result, search for restaurant dot com gift cards for every trip. We were planning to visit the Georgia aquarium and the world of Coca-Cola and so restaurant dot com suggested this place as the closest restaurant to those two attractions and I'm soooooo glad. The food was great. I highly recommend the fish tacos! Hubby and I shared nachos and each ordered a taco. With the discount we only paid ten dollars for our entire yummy meal. Even without the discount this place is still a value in comparison to other eateries in the downtown vicinity. Highly enjoyable experience.

The Baja Expierience !

By Rooney S |

I had the steak nacho and it was very good and the tacos were good. Fast service and everyone was very nice. We received our order fast. We will visit again..

A little dated

By G C |

The restaurant needs a little updating. The food was not what I was expecting. I thought it would be like Chipotle or Moes, but it really wasn't that great.

great clean fast food

By Sharon C |

fresh, easy to order what you like- it was a delicious and healthy choice. the salsas were especially good- didn't find the free chips to be very fresh but hey- maybe it was a bad day. Restaurant was clean and welcoming to anyone who dropped in.

Good food, nice people

By Ray R |

This place is right across from our hotel so it was convenient. So glad we stopped. Very nice people got our to go order together. Plenty of choices, plenty of food. I accidentally left a bag of cookies from next door there and when I went back to get them, they staff had them set aside for us! Now that's customer service!

Fast fun lunch

By Howie M |

Stopped in after visiting the world of coke. The cashier was very polite and helpful. Prefer the Diablo burrito which was tasty and made fresh. The restaurant was clean and tidy...

Great place for lunch

By TheCamMan |

This is kind of a Mexican/TexMex fast food place. The food is fresh and great tasting. I really enjoyed the steak tacos.

Surprise delight of the Atlanta trip !!

By JohnTraveller2014 |

After visiting the Georgia Aquarium, we were very hungry and Baja Fresh was the closest food venue outside of the aquarium. A friend and I ordered shrimp tacos which were very good ! The shrimp had been marinated and grilled. My only complaint (and it is a personal one) was the soft corn tortilla. I would have preferred a soft flour tortilla. This was my first visit to a Baja Fresh and it won't be the last. Very tasty !!

Ultimate comfort food

By PatLah |

Modern, clean & great food! Great location too! VIsited the aquarium then took a break and walked over for lunch.

Enough options for the vegeterians

By kedarvashi |

This is a decent place, especially if you are a vegetarian. There are enough options with free chips and a choice of salsa and sauces to accompany your meal.

Refreshing

By MamaJ517 |

Tried to go to Johnny Rockets, but there was a 45 minute wait. Walked down the road to Baja Fresh and it didn't dissapoint. Very fresh and fast. Nice varieties of salsas. Plenty of seating upstairs.

Ehh, better options available

By WI_Jason |

We were staying around Centennial Park during our family vacation so we could visit friends from Atlanta and several of the great attractions around Centennial Park. We choose Baja Fresh as the menus looked quick and somewhat appealing. Unfortunately the food was not what we thought. There are WAY better burrito type semi fast food chains that have much better food. We also got chips and queso but the queso had a burn smell/taste to it. Because we were traveling with our young family we took the food to go so our loss. To boot, the server took a phone call in the middle of our order (we weren’t even ordering slowly). When I went back to add a drink to our order she was on her cell phone for a little while standing at the register when done she quickly said your food will be out in a minute and turned around. Finally after another call she got the pint I would like to purchase a beverage.

The food wasn’t fresh!

By GwenB3975 |

I ordered a grilled shrimp and a grilled fish taco along with a side of street corn. My sides were pinto beans and rice. The seafood in the tacos was grey in color and bland. It tasted like they heated up frozen food. It was the worse. There are thousands of people downtown and no one in your restaurant! The food is bad. The street corn was canned corn with something very unattractive plopped on top. The pinto beans were seasoned with hot sauce. I was afraid to eat the rice. I will never return to your establishment.

YUM!

By SteveVT01 |

We were in a hurry for a quick dinner before New Year's. We had a pretty large party (14 of us) and they accommodated us and our needs. The food was great, the service was friendly and we were very pleased!

Fast and good by major attractionsq

By Ativan1 |

This is just a short two minute walk from the major attractions in downtown Atlanta. It is tasty, fast and affordable.

Great location for downtown hotels

By X1674PSmaryf |

Great tasting fast casual Mexican style food; generous portions. Walked through Centennial Park from our hotel .

Fast and Fresh

By Matt T |

Stopped in for a late lunch. Ordered the fajita plate and it was cooked fresh to order. Good flavor and portion size was enough for two. Enjoyed the salsa bar as well. Just a half a block away from the Hilton garden inn.

Awesome taste of home

By Allison R |

I was delighted when Baja Fresh opened downtown near the Georgia Aquarium! I worked not too far from there and it was wonderful to have that super-fresh taste of California in Atlanta. Introduced Baja Fresh to several of my co-workers :-)

Best burrito ever!

By Staceytoy |

I honestly had the best burrito in the world here at Baja Fresh! The staff was so incredibly nice and I LOVE the food! Can't wait to go back!

Always good

By summitsvs |

Easy fresh food. It's good and it's easy to eat light here. Mexican type food with tacos, quesadillas and salads. Beef, chicken or shrimp. Their salads were large and the shrimp were plentiful. Salsa bar and some yummy lime cilantro dressing that had a bite to it completed one of a few good, quick, don't break the bank meals

Prompt service, reasonable value and a hearty portion of tasty food - good lunch spot

By William F |

Baja Fresh is one of the better lunch-spot options available adjacent to Centennial Park. I wouldn't call this authentic, mi abuela me la cocino (my grandmother made it for me) Mexican food, but the taste is good, ingredients are fresh and the portions are generous. Good salsa bar. I have hosted meetings with groups of two to twenty (upstairs seating), and this is one on the better spots in the area for that purpose. This is a family owned spot, and the family is pleasant and responsive to customers. I will return.

nice food

By Debbie's Travel bug |

nice food for a fast food outlet. fresh clean foods made to how you want. not a bad choice for on the run

Pretty good food, Not much parking

By RJ W |

The food was very good, the service excellent, but it is a walk to restaurant, very little parking in the area.

Good food, good prices

By Hannah M |

We walked over to Baja Fresh after visiting the aquarium and had dinner. The food was delicious and the service was great. It's casual dining. We got burritos and the chips and salsa (you pick your salsa) was very good.

Great Fast Food Option

By love2bncharleston |

Baja Fresh was a great choice for a fresh, fast & reasonably priced meal before a Falcons game. The service & food were both great. Definitely a great option for Mexican fast food.

Quick and tasty

By PS581 |

We had just arrived in Atlanta after a day of flying and this was a great solution to a quick meal. Typical selection and my burrito was very tasty. Nice extra touches are the nachos you receive with your order and the sauce stand where you can try salsas of varying spice. Located right next to Centennial Olympic park should you need some fresh air after filling up!

good

By Caitie I |

Very yummy food and very fast service. I had a burrito and it was delicious. I just loveddddd it! Will come back next time i am in town

Hungry for Baja?

By Julie D |

I was excited to see a Baja Fresh in Atlanta. I had been introduced to this franchise in Phoenix, Arizona, and I was super disappointed when they closed. Unfortunately this one did not meet expectations-the flavor was not as good as I remember, the salsa bar was not well kept, and the service was not friendly.

Good fresh food - stop in!

By LKS28 |

We have eaten a few times in our travels to Atlanta and keep coming back because it does not disappoint. The food is prepared fresh and it always tastes good. The employees are always friendly and are willing to help you find something if you are not sure. We will continue to go back every time we are in Atlanta!

Run!!

By Monica C |

Horrible food. My mom ordered seafood taco combo and the fish look old smell rotten. And I ordered a bowl anything is fresh. Not Mexican food 😡

Love the food

By Denise C |

This was our 2nd trip to Baja Fresh. My husband and son got Fajita and I got the shrimp bowl. All our food was really great and fresh. Plus they have an awesome salsa bar. They also have the fun Coke machine that you can pick from about 500 (not sure if that is correct amount) different combination of all the Coke products.

Couldn't be fresher!

By panpanda |

Baja Fresh is located across the street from the huge Georgia Aquarium. I knew it was going to be good when I saw lots of GA Aquarium employees in their uniforms eating there. Fresh Mexican, very reasonable. Think their salsa and chips are great. Not quite enough of the fish in our portions, but otherwise lots of bang for the buck.

Great Place for a Quick Lunch on our Way out of Town

By Darren Thompson |

Stopped in to this location recently on our way out of town to grab a quick bite for our road trip. Service was great, food was great, we were in and out in a timely fashion. Experience was as expected for the Baja Fresh franchise. Would return when visiting the area.

good food and a choice of salsa

By lewanddonna |

We really enjoyed this place! The only reason we ate here was it was pouring rain and Baja Fresh was close. We were pleasantly surprised...the food was GOOD with fast service!

Delicious and quick

By Kayla N |

Very delicious food, quick service, and right across from the Hilton Garden Inn, the aquarium, and the world of coke

Excellent food decent priced.

By Jamie S |

Walked in not knowing what to expect. Nice quiet place with excellent food. Order was easy and food come out quick with big portions.

Delicious!!!

By Traveler51013 |

Great food & service! I had the steak & shrimp burrito and it was fabulous! My husband had a chicken avacado burrito and it was great, as well!

Good but...

By Tkrieger |

My husband and I stopped here while in town on business. We had never been to a Baja Fresh so we didn't know what to expect. I ordered a fish burrito with grilled fish. It was very good but the fish was WAY over cooked. Luckily there were other things in the burrito to mask the over grilled fish so it was still ok but it could have been amazing!

Great Location!

By CincyBill |

Driving into the Georgia Aquarium, our family was so very happy to see a Baja Fresh across the street. After our visit to the aquarium, we went here for lunch - paying a fraction of what we would have paid inside the aquarium with much less people. The food is great, fresh, and the entire family enjoyed it.

Fresh warm chips and Awesome Staff, they recognize even on your second visit

By _AJ |

Its a fast restaurant so the food is standard. However the experience of being there is nice. The staff is very friendly and they have a fountain coke that you can make your own drinks from. good selection of Salsas and Fresh Chips.

Good food, affordable price, near attractions.

By Ashley S |

Ate at Baja Fresh following a date to the Georgia Aquarium. This restaurant is close to other attractions, like the CocaCola factory and a museum regarding Civl Rights. Definitely a good spot if you want to avoid an overly chain-style restaurant but don’t want to break the bank. Staff is relaxed but attentive!

Delicious

By Sharon C |

Being from NJ we no longer have Baja Fresh there so I was super excited to find it on my trip to Atlanta. I love the Americano chicken tacos! The staff was friendly and provided great service. The salsa bar had a great selection as well.

Fast, tasty and great location

By Sianni09 |

After visiting the Georgia Aquarium, hubby and the kids couldn't wait to have dinner. Waiting 20 min at the local burger place wasn't even an option lol (they had to eat something NOW). This place looked pretty empty so hubby decided to give it a try (I wasn't too crazy). Well... surprise, surprise... Fresh and tasty food, fast and friendly stuff. Huge, huge servings. We all loved it and wish they would open one by our house. Will be back again..

Good Food priced right!

By Davis S |

Meals here at Baja Fresh are reasonably priced and are good sized. I've only had the Baja Ensalada with freshly cooked chicken breast and it is all I can eat. The ingredients are always fresh and the chicken is freshly grilled as you order. Baja Fresh also has a freshly make salsa bar with 5 different salsa's and trimmings. So if you are in the downtown ATL area or around Centennial Olympic Park, stop in and get some fresh tacos, Burritos, salads or other tex-mex favorites.

Great food at reasonable prices

By MDI2 |

Very tasty, good, fresh food. Friendly and patient staff and quick service. Only steps from Centennial Park.

Great for a quick bite

By Kevin O |

This is a great option for a quick lunch or dinner for visitors to the aquarium, coke museum, or centennial park. You choose from a burrito, fajita, or tacos and pick your filling and toppings. There are also a variety of salsas and sauces that you can add to your food or your complimentary basket of chips. This is a great restaurant for individuals of families who are in the area and want a hot meal that is not the typical deli options in the area.

Good Tex-Mex Food

By Bobby O |

This our first time to try Baja Fresh and it did not disappoint us. Good choices of salsa, and the burritos was really filling. Will definitely come back for more.

Excellent

By twofromLA |

All restaurants in this chain closed in our area. A shame, because when we are here a couple days ago, the food was excellent!

Fresh fast food within walking distance of tourist area

By ejn |

We enjoyed dinner here after visiting the World of Cocoa-Cola. We have been to other Baja Fresh restaurants before so we were familiar with the offerings. The food was good and the service was fast and friendly. The staff dealt well with the crowd.

Camp outing

By Mahesh P |

Baka Fresh has lots of veggie choices. Quick service, fresh food and good price. We had 35 people in our group

Grab a quick bite while you're visiting nearby attractions!

By Vern S |

Grabbed a quick lunch here while we were looking at nearby attractions. Consistently "average" food & service to be expected from a national chain. The free chips & salsa were nice!!

Very Fresh fast and fantastic!

By wgmom89 |

This is the very best fast food restaurant for Mexican food. The salsa is smokey with not too many onions and chunks of tomato. It is filled with flavor and tang but not overwhelmingly garlic and lime taste…just right. We would go to this restaurant once a week if it was closer to our home. We were on our way to the Aquarium and ate here before going to the exhibit. The service was friendly and the restaurant clean and easily accessible.

Better Than Good, Not Quite Great

By Ray M |

Baja Fresh provides an interesting menu, not just your typical burger joint. The place is bright and clean, service was good, portions were large and prices reasonable. I enjoyed my Steak Baja Burrito after a long day of traveling. Would we go again? Probably

DELISH

By next adventure |

we just saw the restaurant when we were crossing the street, i've never heard of this restaurant, we were so hungry so we decided to dine in. the cashier is very nice and very helpful with what to order. i had the diablo burrito, it was very delicious and very filling. the restaurant is decent too plus the prices are real affordable! i'm one happy satisfied customer!

Great food and service

By spicky |

Staff was super nice and accommodating. The food was great, especially the rice bowls and guacamole. The vegetables and seafood in the burrito bowls were seasoned well. This place was better than I expected for a quick and healthy bite near Centennial Park.

Great mexican tacos

By Alfredo C |

Very good mexican fish tacos, several options available at correct price. Dishes served with sides well cooked, and tasty. Experience to,repeat.

Average Meal

By YogaTravel |

Had dinner here after visiting the World of Coke (only 1-2 blocks away). I usually like Baja Fresh, but this restaurant looked worn and was not as clean as most that I have been to. The food was okay, but not as high of quality as I've come to expect from the chain. The upside is the staff was incredibly friendly.

Simple but good Mexican food.

By Sandi B |

Had dinner here and was surprised by the size of the portions. The guacamole was some of the best we've had.

Hidden gem

By panpanda |

Always visit this fresh restaurant after a visit to the Georgi Aquarium. Today I enjoyed a grilled shrimp salad so large that I couldn't finish it all. My companion enjoyed his fajitas as well. The restaurant was full of folks taking a break from their aquarium jobs to eat lunch so I realized most tourists don't know about this hidden gem.

Wonderful Mexican Food (Fresh)

By Gorgeous-Island |

This place has Wonderful food, freshly made and the service is great as well. Right near Centennial Park, eat in or take out to the park

Fast and good and near the Aquarium

By Claire T |

A short half block from the A GA aquarium and fast delicious food. We had very limited time between our day at the Aquarium and a rehearsal and this work and was satisfying.
