Food is always good. Very fresh vegetables. Very friendly people. Our orders have been delivery only since the COVID-19 epidemic.

I've been eating here for years. The food and service are excellent. The quality is always consistent. My favorite restaurant.

We we're visiting family in the area and this was just down the street. We walked to it and we're very glad we did! The food was very tasty, well-prepared, and plentiful. We fed six of us pretty cheaply and we're very pleased with the menu choices and the quality of the food. Service was a little slow, but very friendly. The family often orders takeout, and it's just as good as eating in (they said they over-stuff the boxes!) We will definitely go again if we are in the area.

Have taken my family here on numerous occasions. I always listen to their recommendations and daily specials. Food is served hot and arrives shortly. The price is fair.

Service was quick, food was brought out fast. Everyone liked their meals, lots of fresh vegetables, nice pieces of chicken. Sweet and sour soup with the lunch combo was really good. Price was excellent for value of food we received. We will definitely be back for lunch.

This was a good stop. It is a neighborhood restaurant. The food is tasty. The noodles were good. Well worth the stop. Service was good.

Love this place! It's so nice having it right in our neighborhood. The food is always great. Everything is made with really fresh veggies that are cooked just the way I like them, so they still taste fresh, not until they're limp. The soups are thick and chunky. Most dishes are the best Chinese I've ever had anywhere, and the friends we've taken there have agreed. Oh, and I gotta say that if Leah, the owner is there, she makes the best mai tai in the world. Really! Way better even than anything we've had in Hawaii. And then there's the staff. Although we enjoy all the staff, we usually try to show up on Wed nights when Teresa is working. She's a hoot! Although we sorta laugh about how Ping is always pushing asparagus!

The food here is mostly pretty good and reasonably priced. I recommend take out rather than eating at the reataraunt. Food is prepared quickly and staff is friendly.

So, how did we come to discover "Ballard Mandarin Chinese Restaurant"? Quite accident! I was taking my son to see the podiatrist in Ballard. We drove past this place and thought: "Hey, want to go have some lunch after your appt?" ... The rest (as they say and YOU know) is history! He ordered Orange Chicken to go. I came back later that night for dinner with my husband. Can you say "MMMMMMMMmmmmmmm.... MMMMMmmmm Mongolian Beef"?? They make the onions for this dish perfectly. Crisp, yet cooked. Flavor is awesome. We have been here about 20 times since that first visit in June. There are various waitresses (often it's the owner, herself). They don't open until 4pm on Sundays, so it's dinner only! Our daughter LOVES the General Tao's Chicken. I love the Mu Shoo Pork and we all recommend ordering the "Citron Dinner" to get the sizzling rice soup! [It's basically Egg Flower soup w/ sizzle, but yummy. Spice it up with a dash of chili oil.] If you're taking bus # 28 home, it's a perfect 'on the way' stop... Call ahead and place your 'to go' order!

Early dinner. Sxechuan chicken was fantastic, one of the best ever an d a nice portion. Mongolian beef was not so good, too salty and a small portion. Sizzling rice soup was reasonable price but had no taste or flavor. Service was adequate, but no real friendly

Love having a small, casual, good Chinese restaurant in our Ballard neighborhood! Best thing about it is the bossy waitress who never hesitates to share her opinion about what you're ordering: She'll let you know when she thinks an item is a bad choice, and we always go with her suggestions. But two entrees we never fail to order are the Green Jade Vegetable, and the Salt and Pepper Chicken. Delicious.

We had orange chicken, ginger fried fish, and ballard noodle. All the dishes were tasty, and women staff's so friendly. The orange chicken was the best red sauce chicken ever in Seattle.

I ordered take-out here about a decade ago and it was just bad. But recently I decided to give it another try and was delighted. The food was great and the portions were larger than expected. I am happy I went back. This place has been here for a long time. I ordered on a weekday evening and business was slow so it only took 15 minutes to have my order ready.

Delicious hot and sour soup starts the lunch! Many delicious vegetarian options!! Best service - fast and kind. And best fortune cookies in town.

When we arrived, we were told that they needed to clean a table before seating us. It took almost 10 minutes to do so and we were almost out the door. We finally got seated and service didn't improve much. We could see from other tables that they were waiting for food for a while as well. When we finally got the food, it was ok, nothing to brag about although the portions were large. Place might be better for take out than in restaurant dining but I'll pass on going back and look elsewhere.

Read so many positive reviews, thought I would try it. Pot stickers were tough. . And Sizzling Rice soup was bland. The white rice with added sweet and sour sauce was the best of the lot. Perhaps I just chose the wrong items.

I've been here a few times and they never disappoint. This is the real deal and not americanised. Their sauces and way of cooking are awesome.
Great General Tao's Chicken
