The best steakhouse !!! Omg the good is great . Steak the juiciest flavored around ! Knowing this it is worth every penny you spend. French onion soup is amazing the portions are large so two can share easily. Worth worth worth it !!! They have live music do it can get skittle noisy. They have s closed patio that is lovely

We were a group of 9 gathered for a b-day celebration. After a great fanfare we were seated and introduced to the menu. One of the guests asked if an ingredient might be substituted, and the answer was negative since "it might compromise the integrity of the dish". That's a first for me - mistakenly I thought the chef is to accomodate the guest and not vice versa. One of us requested to turn down the heat from above, but the haughtily given answer was negative. As our host said later, this was the moment we should have left. The adjacent table must have put in a similar request, since, lo and behold, the heat was turned off. Choosing the menu - unwisely I opted for the appetizer - Maine scallops, and my husband opted for the Ahi tuna with a vegetable salad. The others asked for a Jim Dory special, and asked about it. Answer ; this is a fish very common in France. Duh! Other requests were for roasted vegetables - brussel sprouts and artichokes.Lamb chops were the other main course requested. While waiting to be served, we were brought epi - the "antlered" bread, which was a very powerful weapon, and a good fit to be served under the name of Hard Rock. My scallops two for the price of $18, were tough and bitter. I brought the attention of the waiter to it, and he asked if I want something else, and that he will bring the chef's attention to my issue. Got no feedback, and the item appeared on the price-list. Another first. My husband 's ahi was bland in my opinion, the brussel sprouts were without any exciting flavoring. The chips were O.K. and the lamb chops were good but rather fatty. The others liked their fish; the greek salad was o.k. The noise level was less than O.K. As a symbolic act to celebrate the birthday,we ordered a slice of upside down pineapple cake a-la mode - (candle included) it was too rich to my taste. Our host expressed regret choosing this place, and I wholeheartly agree with him.

This is clearly a place where people come to see and be seen. While the food overall was very good, Not sure that it was so good as to be commensurate with it's prices. Service was overall very good to excellent as well. Worth a try for that special occasion

My husband and I recently dined at Baltaire to celebrate our anniversary. Everything was perfect from our waitress Stephanie to our drinks and food. We ordered the Ahi Tuna Poke, Salmon, Mac n' Cheese, the Filet Tasting and Beignets. Stephanie was a wonderful waitress. She was very personable and outgoing. She suggested great cocktails for me and even surprised us with Travis Stickland aka the chef. She topped off our night with a tour of the kitchen. Thank you Stephanie for making our night one to remember. We will definitely be back!

It was my first time at Baltair. We were there to celebrate my son's graduation and birthday. The restaurant is beautiful. It's bright and airy with a comfortable sitting area around the bar. The dining area was nice too. When we arrived on time for our reservation, the restaurant was empty but they made us wait for about 15 minutes for a table. The table in the bar area where we were having a drink while waiting for our table was dirty. Wet with crumbs everywhere. They didn't bother wiping the table clean when they brought our drinks. I had a martini. The drink was strong, just like the way I like it! We ordered the lamb chop lollipops and they were over cooked. So sad. We ordered the oysters. They were beautifully presented and were delicious. It was a shame they got all of us sick the next day. We also ordered the shrimp cocktail. They were just okay for being so huge. My preference is for smaller shrimp since the smaller ones are usually juicier and sweeter. When we were ready for our main course, they brought out our dinner plates and they were all dirty!!! All 3 of our plates were visibly dirty! It was so gross! We had to point out the dirty plates to the waiter. Once we pointed out how dirty the plates were, they were replaced with clean ones but no one apologized. It was like they didn't want to mention it happened. I think maybe someone grabbed the plates from the dirty pile and not the clean pile in the kitchen. For the main course we each ordered the filet, each cooked differently. They were all perfectly cooked and delicious. We also ordered sides of brussel sprouts and mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was absolutely amazing! For dessert, we ordered the powdered beignets and a peach tart. Both delicious. In conclusion, overall the food was delicious, the atmosphere was very nice and the service was good. I just thought the level of service could have been a little better for such a pricey restaurant. I think the dirty plates were a fluke, and hopefully the oysters were a fluke too but a friend who had oysters there before also remembered getting sick from the oysters. Do I recommend it? Yes, I do. It's a very nice restaurant and I think you will have a great time. Be careful with the oysters!

Baltaire combines a stunning yet comfortable interior with extraordinary service and fresh, imaginative dishes. The open dining area combines interior space with high ceilings, stone and wood accents, and a number of comfortable seatings (stuffed chairs, convivial couches, contemporary dining chairs) with the flexibility of a wood-shuttered indoor/outdoor patio. An inviting glass fireplace beckons at the sidewalk, while lending a warm glow to a dining area. The tuna poke appetizer was delicious and artfully created; luncheon salads and sandwiches were not the usual choices, and attention was paid to detail. While the restaurant was lively, tables were far enough apart to permit conversation. A cadre of servers insured a flawless experience.

A+ setting and ambiance. The crowd was excellent. The only disappointing part was that the drinks seemed to be a lot less in the glass than normal. I had spoken to other people who said they experienced the same. Otherwise, it was a fun place to be, and the new hip spot for locals.

I went here for a date and it was amazing. The food and drinks were fabulous, the atmosphere romantic. You set on couches and plush chairs and they have a great DJ playing music. To top it all off our waitress Yolanda was extremely attentive and accommodating.

We are two fantastic rib-eyes cook to perfection, wonderful shrimp cocktail and artichoke for appetizers and an extremely knowledgeable waitress who introduced us to some wonderful wines. Expensive but worth it!

Baltaire is an amazing restaurant. Ate here for a business dinner (in a private room). The menu was very innovative (Burrata with heirloom carrots?!?) and food was exceptional. The service was excellent and the waiter was very attentive to our group. The bone-in ribeye was amazing and huge. The side dishes were also quite tasty. Highly recommend Baltaire

We felt fortunate to get a same day reservation at the ever popular Baltaire, even if was @ 6:45. Upon arrival, our group of four was quickly impressed with what management had done to the decor, as we all remembered it as the site of the former Cheesecake factory in Brentwood. The meal itself was marked by some disappointments. The rib eye was declared excellent, as was one of the two petite filet mignons. But one petite filet was overcooked. And the fourth entrée, a petite filet tasting menu (difference sauces) had to be sent back to the kitchen as it arrived at room temp. However, the tasting menu filets should have made a third trip back to the kitchen as two of the three small filets were undercooked (ordered medium, they arrived rare). Early in the evening, our waitress/server provided us with an energetic and informative overview of the menu. However, she seemed to disappear at critical times, as she failed to return to the table just after the entrees arrived, and again was missing when the tasting menu filets returned from their second trip to the kitchen. The desserts were mixed. Thought the lemon meringue tart was the best of the three. And given the collective memory of Cafe du Monde beignets, the full plate offering at Boltaire seemed tasteless by comparison. In the interest of full disclosure I should add when told about the problems with two of our entrees, the waitress/restaurant offered to comp our desserts and also waived the (excessive!) $40 corkage fee. Reviews on other sites note that this is a “pricy” restaurant. Most entrees range from $45-60, appetizers around $15, and desserts about $12. Also, the noise in the dining room rose as the evening wore on as the restaurant filled, which at times made for challenging conversations, even as the tables were well-spaced from one another. In sum, Baltaire is best classified as an interesting dining experience. On this morning after, our group is uncertain if we would return, and we would offer a lukewarm recommendation to others.

Dinner in the private room at Baltaire was a nice experience. The decor of the restaurant is beautiful and the service was excellent. The food was very good as well. We were a party of approximately 40 guests.

I went to dinner last night with my family. It was a very hot day in LA (82 F in the day time) so the restaurant decided to open up the ceiling to enjoy a dinner with a nice sky view. While we were there it was a bit hot while eating dinner since there wasn't much of a breeze but it was still a nice way to enjoy dinner. I had the dry aged steak with a blue cheese dressing. It was good but for a dry aged steak it wasn't the best I've had. I felt the meat was a bit tough for a dry aged steak even if it was aged for 35 days. The rest of my family tried almost everything else ! :) I had a bit of the sea bass and WOW...I wished I had that for dinner. The lobster mac-n-cheese was delicious...corn had spices on it which I did not try because I'm allergic to species...but I heard from my family that it was all very good. So over-all, I think the food, service and the ambiance was very good. I would love to go back again and just enjoy eating the sea bass !!! :) Oh...we had a lobster that was SUPER good...and the octopus appetizer was amazing...normally octopus is chewy...this one was made to perfection ! Unfortunately my kids called and told me that there was a black-out at the house...so I left just before dessert to come home and deal with everyone in the dark. It seems most of the area had a blackout

Standard overpriced steakhouse with: Extraordinary service. Good server knowledge: menu & meats... She was terrific. Extraordinary meat (ribeye, filet) Extraordinary sides (lobster mac-n-cheese) Appetizer was somewhat disappointing (caprese) Cheesecake dessert made the meal! The food was was all above-average. I'd return but I seldom crave steakhouse style dining! Can't go wrong here if you like pricey-pricey steakhouse style dining

Baltiare is a beautiful restaurant, very spacious and wonderfully appointed. It is in my opinion one of the most elegant dining rooms in Los Angeles. The service was very professional and friendly. Our cocktails were average and the steak and salmon were nicely prepared and presented, but nothing particularly special. The prices are in the stratosphere. Come to see the room, have a quiet conversation, enjoy the mediocre food, and prepare to leave with a lighter wallet.

Baltaire has a wonderful scene for brunch with champagne bottle popping and a DJ spinning in the middle to keep the energy buzzing. Once seated we were greeted by 3 waiters separately which felt disjointed but the service did improve as our time progressed. The opening apps were nothing to write home about but our preference being for the whipped feta and banana bread to help soak up concoctions from blood mary cart. If you are a heat lover, ask for extra hot and with mezcal as a smoky touch. Once our mains came out we ( hamburger and lobster omelette) we were pretty full. The lobster omelette was very flavorful and the caviar was a nice touch. Overall it was a memorable experience, but not based on the food but having a good time with our group

I had the pleasure of sampling a dish provided by Baltaire at the Los Angeles Times The Taste - 2019. The grilled Octopus was so tender and good that I woke up the next morning wanted to drive to Baltaire for more.

this was a sunday brunch menu not that great of a menu and very pricy!!! 1 person wanted Lamb Chops which was not on menu but they made exception and fixed for him $58.00 4 small lamb chops and i cocktail tomato grilled that was it Asked for a slice of bread $6.00 for 2 pieces of toast

Had dinner at Baltaire...with Reservations of course!! on Friday evening. The restaurant has old word charm, and the addition of the sparkling Christmas tree was magical. We ordered the grilled Octopus appetizer...excellent, but very rich!, the grilled artichoke...yummy, the salad...pretty good and the Branzino,..also pretty good. But the prices for the entrees and especially the wine are a bit over the top. For two people, almost $200. 1 entrée,3 appetizers, 3 glasses of wine total, no dessert or coffee!! Afterwards, we went to the bar where an after dinner drink started at $22. They had a nice crowd in both the restaurant and the bar, but the prices make I less likely to return.

Our recent visit to Baltaire for Sunday brunch was excellent. The restaurant itself is very attractive (we sat in the "outdoor" area) and everyone in our group enjoyed their selections. Service was also excellent. All around a good choice (good location) and we would return. Very good valet parking service.

My most recent lunch at Baltaire restaurant was such a treat - I have to write about it! They changed the menu - and I have to say it was a tough decision what to order - I chose the King Louis crab salad and my friend had the chopped Steak salad. Both were beautifully presented & tasted even better. Servers were friendly & attentive. The interior is contemporary bright open & perfect setting for a delightful meal with friends.

This was my first visit to Baltaire. There were three of us. I had a pork chop which was the most delicious chop I've ever had. Our son had a filet of beef which he said was excellent. I tasted it and can agree. I've never had better. My wife had salmon which she said was excellent. We had a side of brussel sprouts which were very well prepared. We were all too full for desert. The service was excellent and the environment spacious and quiet. As expected for this level of food quality and service it is pricey. However if you're looking for an elegant meal this fits the bill.

Brand new -- only open a few weeks when we had several colleagues in for drinks and dinner. This is trendy in the fashion of a high end Brentwood dining establishment meant to attract the well-to-do, see and be seen crowd. The bar scene is quite refined -- and mixology is the order of the day -- not just pouring the classics. One feature of note - is the retractable ceiling -- providing complete open air dining under the stars -- and -- with discreet ceiling heaters that radiate just enough heat to make comfortable those who would otherwise need a wrap to regulate their temps. As for the food and wine -- they have a very good sommelier, David, who advised they have a good selection being refined based on what the traffic will bear and price points to meet the casual diner or venture capital sort. I had dover sole - it was outstanding - filleted table side. My colleague had steak which was well prepared and received. HOWEVER --- the most outstanding part of the evening I had the pleasure to enjoy -- was the very personal attention of the General Manager, who seemingly has photographic memory recalling the names of our party, some of whom had been there several nights in just their first two weeks of being open -- and - and even more outstanding assistant General Manager, Yruii -- who went so far above the service bar that he deserves special mention. Having completed my meal - and traveling with my suitcase as I had yet to check in to my Beverly Hills hotel --- I asked the hostess to call me a cab. She advised it would be 45 mins to an hour --- and since my Uber app -- is on my blackberry -- I was having no success in flagging a ride. Enter Yurii -- who stepped outside for a breath of fresh air -- noticed me from our earlier conversation at our table -- and took it upon himself to have his car brought around and took me to my hotel. What other restaurant management staff does that??? Go on a nice evening -- enjoy the unique open air setting - and excellent food and service.

Restaurant has a nice room. Fun bar. Service here is generally bad, although I have had some good nights. The food can be good, but it is not always. For the price that is not acceptable. After being frustrated by lousy service the bad food is really annoying. Begged for bread all night with the waiter and the busboy; we never got any! Waiter was missing all the time. Best thing is the Greek salad. Very remote chance of getting your steak cooked as you want. Dover sole has been good, but it is usually drowned in sauce. Lots of great LA steak houses, unfortunately the hit or miss aspect with the over pricing makes this a MISS for me.

We arrived at Baltaire at 6:16 pm for a 6pm reservation. I know this exact time because the snobby and rude hostess said she could not see us past the 15 minute grace period. After pointing out how ridiculous it was especially seeing that the restaurant was empty, she stated "as a courtesy we can seat you as long as your out in 90 minutes". We sat down, and were immediately reminded by the uninviting waitress that we need to leave in 90 minutes. After our extremely mediocre appetizers, we ordered the scallops, branzino, and burger. The waitress said that the burger could only be served at the bar, not on the floor. The branzino was flavorless and the 4 scallops were unimpressive. 400 dollars later (but not 90 minutes later), we left and will never return. Snobby vibes, overpriced, and mediocre food.

I attended an after party here back in February and the food was amazing! So amazing that I wanted to go back for my birthday in March! My second visit did not disappoint! I had the Filet tasting(peppercorn was my favorite) Brussels sprouts and the lobster mac and cheese. I'm salivating just thinking about how incredible the food tasted. This is my new favorite restaurant! This is a definite must dine here type of restaurant. Perfect for a date night or a gathering with friends.

The steak is delicious but the restaurant is loud. There is a large bar and lounge area as you enter. We were there on a Saturday night when they had a live band playing , and a football game was on the television. At the tables, everyone was talking at the top of their voices to be heard. While the food is excellent, it is not your typical quiet steakhouse atmosphere.

I had very low expections- this is popular place and it was a Saturday evening- surely very crowded. Well- i stand corrected. Meredith , manager I think, was wonderful. She helped our group seat ourselves together at bar seating for my friend‘s birthday. Greg was an exceptional bartender. He made a cocktail I‘d never heard of- and it was one of the best things ever, ever. The ahi tartar was good, the octopus , the steak tacos…… and whoa, I forget what they call the beignets but they‘re even better than beignets. Meredith did not lead us astray even once; greg neither. And Shoutout to Marco who served our table. Pro tip- if you‘re smarter than I am, request extra tarot chips w the ahi! I usually do not leave my area but Baltaire does everything above and beyond. Advice from a local! (Ask me anything )

Beltaire steakhouse brentwood is a happening place and has been so for 20 years. Always good food. Great for entertaining. Ppl watching. You will see celebrities. Easy valet service. Love it.

Gorgeous dinner at Baltaire. The meat was perfect (taste and cook). Amazing selection of wines from all over the world. Sure you will fine the good wine for your donner there.

We were put in a dark corner of the restaurant , far from the action and buzz of the main room. Apart the sad setting the food was flawless with perfect steaks and sides. Cocktails got thumbs up as well. Service was professional throughout. Next time I will insist on a better table and possibly give a perfect grade.

This restaurant is where the Cheesecake Factory used to be on San Vicente in Brentwood. I passed by it on my way to work out and thought it looked gorgeous so decided to give it a try. It opened 2 weeks ago. The layout is esthetically pleasing. There are 4 different places to sit: the bar, the cozy lounge with fireplace, the terrace (which can be covered or uncovered) and the covered seating area, which has a large skylight. All 4 places looked inviting but I chose the covered terrace as I had dressed too warmly for the weather and welcomed the cool breezes coming through the opened doors. I had lunch with 2 friends. Roland, our waiter, was delightful and entertaining, waxing poetic about everything, even the sparkling bottled water! He informed us that the restaurant apparently specializes in prime cuts of steak. Not wanting steak for lunch, my friends and I shared the mac and cheese with lobster as a starter. It's usually served as a side, but worked well as an appetizer. It's REALLY rich, and creamy, with bits of lobster. As I seemed to be on a lobster binge, I had the lobster grilled cheese with a side of house salad. The salad was, well, salad. The sandwich was rich, flavorful, and buttery. Had a glass of the house Sauvignon Blanc with it, which was passable. My friends shared the lobster cobb salad and a side of broccolini. The cobb salad looked delightful and large enough for 2. The broccolini was simply cooked, but was a good side to offset the richness of my sandwich. We passed on dessert as we were too full. The meal will set you back a bit in $$. The side of mac & cheese with lobster, the sandwich, the cobb salad,, the side of broccolini, one bottle of water, one cup of coffee and 4 glasses of house wine came out to over $200 including 20% tip. However, I recommend it for special lunch out with good friends.

If you want to pay $26 for one glass of house red wine, be my guest. Cesar salad exceptionally bad. Steak okay. Salmon great. Cheesecake really good and creamy. Service is spotty. I like my wine while I await my meal. Had to wait 20 mins.

I don't mind paying for things if they are of superior quality. But everything was super expensive and the food, honestly, was average. the best things was the appetizer, grilled artichoke- really tasty. But the filet was tasteless ( I know its a less fatty steak but I've had some that the knife cut like butter and were delicious and that was not this experience). The brussel sprouts touted by the water were ok, but actually kind of soggy. T wine was overpriced for what it was ( more than doubled in price and very few choices under 150 dollars) and the Silke pie was ok- but we didn't finish it. The worse was the waiter, laconic, couldn't be coaxed into pleasant pleasantries. and just had kind of sour attitude from hello. He had sommelier creds but unlike truly passionate wine lovers he didn't get excited about their selections or show intense interest in anything. He was, in short, a drag. the room is sleek and expansive but we were pressed between two families with screaming kids. When we paid our 300 dollar bil ( ( 130 was the wine) we both felt " had". So if you want to be Hollywood cooll ( you know, rent yourself a Maserati for two hours so you look affluent) then by all means go to this Brentwood restaurant. But there are better steaks out there, and better deals for a west LA kind of evening. We were both disappointed and won't be back.

Stunning place, wonderful staff and the food mouth waterimg. The vibe is what was so needed here in Brentwood as well as a wonderful steak restaurant. From the sides to the table sode tossed salad to the entrees we loved it all.

The service was amazing! The steak was the best I have ever had. The lobster Mac n’ cheese was great also. If your looking for fine dinning don’t look any further

We stopped in for dessert on Friday night. The bar was jumpin' and the piano player was playing all the current hits. We enjoyed the roaring fire, wine and several desserts. The bread pudding was delicious! Great staff. A fun way to end the evening.

A friend of mine, who is very picky about restaurants, has dined at Baltaire multiple times - and last night I went with her. She recommended I order either the pork chops or lamb chops. I went with the lamb chops and was not disappointed - they were prepared perfectly. We shared sides of mashed potatoes and some delicious brussel sprouts. They have some interesting cocktails at Baltaire as well. I was going to order a traditional Negroni. But the waiter recommended that I try a Mescal Negroni - it was fantastic. Another reviewer mentioned that the restaurant is loud. My dinner companion has hearing problems and is very sensitive to loud restaurants as it really impacts her ability to hear. She asked that we be seated in a quieter area of the restaurant - away from the bar, and that seemed to help a lot. Oh, and if you have any leftovers, the restaurant will package them up in classy boxes.

Four of us, two couples, met at the bar, which is quite nice and spacious, we then migrated to our table in the main dining room. The oysters were really fresh and the Greek salad which is prepared by the tableside was quite delicious; however, it was not enough for a couple as it was suggested by our waiter. We had two Filet Center Cut 12 oz and the 48oz Tomahawk Ribeye for two (this steak can easily feed three) and each steak was prepared as we had ordered them; they were really flavorful. For the dessert we tried the Powdered Beignets which were quite delicious. The only drawback with Baltaire is lack of Martini selections, my wife asked for Appletini and they could not make it, and then she asked for pear martini and again the bar did not have the mixes, and then peach martini and again the response was sorry they cannot make it so she settled for cosmopolitan. Also, I really do not appreciate having multiple TV screens in a steakhouse; they are great in sports bars.

This is a beautiful restaurant that I enjoy for special occasions. I recently attended a family brunch and it was sensational. There was a special "toast" offering that was an expansion on avocado toast that several people enjoyed. As it is summer and warm, a salad often feels like the right choice. I had the table-side made Greek salad and added the steak, this was a spectacular choice. They also have the more typical brunch fare: waffles, steak & eggs, Benedict options, etc. Highly recommended as a beautiful and unexpected location for a great weekend lunch/brunch.

We took friends for dinner at Baltaire as we have had positive experiences there before. Tonight, the service was horrible. First, we waited 45 minutes for our wine to arrive. One guest had escargot - they were hard and overcooked. They brought out a second order - which was better but not great. I ordered short rib. All the other guests received their meals. I waited at least 20 minutes for my entrée. The manager said the chef was not happy with the first the way my entrée was prepared. By the time I received my entrée arrived, everyone else had finished their meals. The feed was delicious. The steaks were cooked to order. The Brussel sprouts, lobster mac n cheese, mushrooms were all wonderful. We enjoyed the bread pudding for dessert. The restaurant comped the escargot, my entrée and the dessert. However, I felt the managers and staff did little to compensate for 3 significant errors for a dinner that cost nearly $1000 (7 people). While we enjoyed the food I would hesitate to eat there again.

Was taken to Baltaire for my 60th birthday. The restaurant had a hand written card at the table waiting for me along with a pair of servers who hovered like bees on a bud. Waiter answered questions, helped with recommendations, and made the experience a true pleasure. The meal arrived promptly, excellently prepared and presented. Steak was light (!) and flavorful. All in all, a meal and experience to be cherished. I wish I lived close-by.

Ambiance? Yes. Great wine menu? Yes. Center cut perfect. Salmon belly was the best. Return? Omg! When?!!!

It's been about three years since my last visit, and unlike the last time, this time I really enjoyed it. We shared the Brussel sprouts and cauliflower sides- heavenly. And for mains the short rib and filet., and dessert the three flavored sorbets. The food was flawless and the service great. Only a 4 star due to the location of the table which was outside and too far from one of the heaters. We were Popsicles by the end of the meal.

Truly enjoyed the dining experience! From the warm welcome from the hostess stand through the service at the table, everything was exceptional. Ordered the grilled artichoke which was a little flavorless and undercooked but the lamb chops made up for it. Would definitely go back if not for anything else to have a drink at the bar.

Over the years, I've enjoyed many meals at this space when it was the Cheesecake Factory. The dining room and outside space are lovely, and I wish the food had been better. I ordered the wedge to start and it was small and somewhat wilted, with the blue cheese dressing rivaling what I could get from a grocery store. The chicken was slightly undercooked and the garnish carrots cold. My business associate had a tiny filet that he enjoyed but he had to fill up on the fries and cauliflower - okay but nothing special. Service was painstakingly slow, and the bill ridiculously expensive for the average food - hence the 2 star. I give it less than a year.

The food was great, especially the lobster Cobb salad, French fries, chilaquiles, and cheesecake, and far more affordable than their stratospheric dinner menu, but what elevated it to five stars was the patio experience. The aesthetic outdoor space is light and sunny with carefully adjusted shade, nicely spaced tables, and the most comfortable chairs any of us had ever sat on in a restaurant. Even though you're outside, it feels like an adult restaurant so I would hesitate to bring small children who need to run around, but otherwise I highly recommend it for any celebratory brunch!

Finally, a high-end steak house on the westside! This place was recently remodeled, and it has a beautiful indoor/outdoor seating situation, so it can suit all needs. The menu has some great sides, and appetizers, to go along with their meats selections, but pricey! Most of the servings can be shared, and they have a nice wine list by-the-glass, or by bottle for pairing. My actual steak was just so-so, but I enjoyed the sides. Our waiter was very professional and curteous, and we were well taken care of. The bar area is a cool spot for a drink, even if you are not intending to dine in the restaurant. Nice thing about this place is you can actually hear yourself, and your guests. Reservations are definitely a must, and parking is almost virtually limited to valet. If you come early enough, you can perhaps find spots on the street, but don't count on it. There are multiple restaurants in the neighborhood. Would recommend this for special event, or even a business dinner, but also give it more time to work out their kinks.

Great food with great service fine dining great atmosphere great seafood nice wine collection piano bar welcoming restaurant has private rooms

The steaks are among the best we've had in Los Angeles. Service could be absolutely elegant, as in the presentation of seafood cocktails. On this particular Saturday evening during the Christmas season the service was disjointed and dreadful. Worth another try on a more quiet night in February.

Great at all, food, ambiance, except the acoustic... live music playing, beautifully but to noise! Couldn’t have any conversation...

Steaks were first class...and the Chilean sea bass was excellent Very nice restaurant in Brentwood and charming staff..good parking valet..well worth the visit

The service is one of the worst Very very expensive and the dishes in not including any side The side cost separately This this restaurant is supposed to be very elegant and when you order side of jalapeños even for one piece of jalapeños they charging you 5 dollars in the normal restaurant they never charge you for this kind of side , Never going to go there again Waste of your time and money

It can be a great place but is not! The food was salty and not prepared as ordered. You would expect that an $18 burger would be edible... We ordered different things and nothing was great. Overpriced and overhyped for an ordinary place. There are many other great places with good food in the neighborhood.

Disclaimer first: I was part of a dinner party. One of my best friends and her family. I did not pay for this meal. Had I paid I probably would rate it even lower. Starting with the good. The restaurant itself is lovely. We ate there on a gorgeous sunday afternoon. The ceiling was retracted which created a wonderful atmosphere. There were a lot of different dishes on the table. My favorite was the lobster and shrimp appetizer. It was delicious. And the gnocchi was probably the best I've had. Beyond that it goes downhill, fast. The service was not great. At that price point I don't think I should have to continuously ask for my drink to be refilled. I ordered bone in filet. A cut Im familiar with. It was overdone and if it hadn't already taken forever to get to the table and if I wasn't in a large group I probably would have sent it back. Someone else from our party complained about the bone-in ribeye. I have eaten at a lot of great steakhouses. This is definitely not at the top of my list. But it wasn't so terrible that I wouldn't eat here again, if someone else swiped the check!

Very nice atmosphere A wide selection of menu with great choices for f vegetarian dishes A good selection of wines Staff is professional

The west side needed a high end place for steak. Hard to believe that this used to the the Cheesecake Factory. The room is terrific, great ambiance, high ceilings and an elegant view of the big screen tv in case you feel the need to peek at the ballgame. It is loud - but less loud than the comparable Maestros in Beverly Hills. The food was good, straightforward American steakhouse fair. Enjoy.

Several friends met for lunch. The restaurant was busy at 12:30. Service was excellent despite some reviews I read. We ordered the shrimp that are huge, a delicious onion soup, a Brussel sprout cauliflower dish that left a lot to be desired and a simple salad. Bread did not accompany the meal and was extra. Although not exceptional cuisine it was very good hence the rating. There were many menu items that were very appealing so I would try this restaurant again.

We just returned to Baltaire last night for my wife's birthday. It was her choice and that's what she picked based on our previous experience. First, it really is in the Brentwood area of L.A. It is expensive. It is wonderful. Many different types of steaks---all delicious and prepared perfectly. Also, great sea food and outstanding lamb rib chops. A nice variety of appetizers and a very good wine list. I am an admitted wine snob so we brought two outstanding wines for the four of us. If you bring wines, make sure they are very special since the corkage fee is $40/bottle. The service was perfect. How often is your waitress a fourth year med student at UCLA Medical School---a sweet, ambitious young lady putting her way through school from Philadelphia (where we are from). Desserts---great. A wonderful evening. One of those very expensive restaurants that is worth every penny.

Our expectations were not met. This is a gorgeous restaurant, beautiful decor, lovely floral arrangements, large patio area with retractable shades, cosy fireplace areas.. everything to lead one to believe an exceptional meal was ahead. Wrong. The food was mediocre. The appearance was nice enough, but flavours were missing. Our server attempted to please, while the GM was overseeing 4-5 tables of guests. Not a full house by any means yet he decided to omit us in spite of walking past our table several times. A rather unreliable social site recommended the German chocolate cake which we found virtually inedible. They were kind enough to remove this from our check, but the GM still didn't bother to come to our table to say a few conciliatory words.. or anything. Over priced. A lovely location, sadly wasted. We shall not be returning.

Baltaire opened several years again replacing the cheese cake factory. We live in the neighborhood, but did not go immediately as we heard it was so over priced. And my husband gets in a terrible mood if he’s at an expensive resturant. He never thinks it’s worth it. But we finally made it to baltaire recently as it was our daughters bday and he relented. With that said...it was a delightful experience. The atmosphere is over the top, the food was delicious and the service exceptional. Everything we ordered was well worth it. this was one of the few times where my husband did not complain about the price. There is no doubt dinner is expensive, but this was a meal to go back too. My husband is a cattle ranger and is very particular about his meat, which was exceptional. We will be back. Thank you baltaire for a delightful evening.

The ambiance of this place is anything but average. If you have been to Spago,it is like that in feel. Indoor/outdoor, comfy bar areas, and very beautiful. The service also is not average as our server was friendly and helpful. Where it became average for me was the food. My friend and I went there solely for their lobster salad and it was a bust for both of us. The lobster was mealy like it had been frozen and then thawed. It was called a lobster cobb salad so there were lardons in it which was too overpowering for the mealy lobster. But to be fair, it was called a lobster cobb. I hate to bring up Spago again, but their lobster salad is superb - not a cobb though. :-)) And much more expensive - $38 versus $25. But there are big chunks of fresh lobster in it!! I cannot comment on anything else on the menu, but the wine list was good and they did not diss me when I asked them to put my wine over ice which was lovely. I think this place might be better if you came for drinks and tapas. It is delightful.

FINALLY, an amazing Steak House in Brentwood with a beautifully designed dining room that opens to a gorgeous and airy outside space....BALTAIRE just opened and I suggest you find your way there before it becomes impossible to get a reservation. Yes, it's a bit pricey, BUT great food--STEAK & SEAFOOD; delicious sides and you have to try the LOBSTER MAC & CHEESE...MY friends shared the PORTERHOUSE for two and were absolutely satisfied. I tried the Salmon over Pea Risotto and it was outstanding. Scrumptious desserts...and service that will knock your sox off. RYAN is a great waiter and worth requesting. No more schlepping to Beverly Hills or to Malibu, no more dark wood old fashioned steak houses. BALTAIRE is a force to be reckoned with right in the middle of Brentwood where THE OLD CHEESECAKE FACTORY was for years. What a welcome new restaurant!! TRY IT!!!

The food is exceptional, but great food is nothing without great service. This spot certainly does provide excellent service. The meats are well chosen and well-prepared, and the wine list is impressive.

Visited Baltaire for Easter brunch with a friend. We went here because they had lamb. Easter brunch was $75- extremely pricy even for Brentwood. The lamb....was terrible. And, no bottomless mimosa. A cup of OJ, 😃, was $6. The seafood was definitely the best thing about this Brunch. I thought the restaurant was nice and trendy. But the price and selection, for this brunch and the price, was disappointing - they didn't even have any bacon😱. I will stick to my Orange County brunch locations from now on....

The staff were so nice and helpful with the menu. The atmosphere was fun and inviting. We were there for dinner, the steak just melted in your mouth.

We came late afternoon on a Saturday, so we missed the crowd. The place is very nice. The food is good. Good relaxing atmosphere.

First, I commend the restaurant on featuring a wonderful jazz combo. The trio was excellent, joined on some tunes by a good vocalist. The space itself is large and pleasant, with a large bar and kind of an upscale steakhouse feel. The food was good but not exceptional. My scallop appetizer tasted fresh but I've had better scallops. My Dover sole main was reasonably priced (for Dover sole), but again I've had better. I sampled my fellow diners' steaks; they were a bit tough and generally unexceptional. I would expect more in terms of food quality for the price. This gets four stars mainly for the ambience and the excellent live jazz.

Had an excellent dinner here with a large group. Service was good and food was really good. Thought it was pricey and a little snooty, but it is LA, so not that different from some other medium nice places. Filet was a winner.

Wonderful setting, very chic! The food, wine and company were great! I enjoyed an amazing shaved vegetable salad with seared ahi tuna accompanied by a lovely Sauviguon Blanc. Loved this place for lunch, imagine it's great for dinner too! Will surely go back!

This is a great place if you want a full meal, or simply would like to stop by for a drink - or late-night coffee/dessert. The atmosphere is very lively and, apparently, there have been several "celebrity sightings" there. The weekend entertainment is good and adds to the fun ambiance. Our last visit there was for a couple of birthdays (two people) celebration. We went there for drinks, dessert/coffee, late-night fun. We go to Baltaire about 6 times a year and have enjoyed it each time.

Solid choice for a night out. Bar is big, good service and appropriate levels of self important people circling. Service is terrific and wine recommendations well informed. Stick with steak. Bone-in rib eye was solid choice, perfectly prepared, asparagus and mac and cheese were excellent. The only false note was the fish. Not enough top shelf menu items to support the expensive prices but Brentwood real estate mandates. Worth an evening out but, stick with steaks. Cheesecake was phenomenal as well.

Baltaire was to me not much different from any other expense account restaurant with prices to match. Service was friendly but a bit slow-paced and overdid on the up-selling. Food was decadent and reasonably tasty but not all that inventive. My fish was over-cooked and the accompanying risotto only ok. My colleagues seemed pretty happy with their steaks.

After having visited quite a few beverly hills/ santa monica steak houses, i must say Baltaire has got it all right. From the setting, extremely confortable beautifully decorated and i must say absolutly beautiful flower arragements. Perfectly situated between beverly hills and santa monica. To the service spot on. It's one of the rare restaurants in LA where everything seemed to arrive on time. We've found that so many places here leave you for ever between dishes. And the food, well absolutely delicious, I had the KC aged steak which was amazing , perfectly cooked just like my lobster mac n cheese . so was my wife's dover sole. We can't wait to be back in LA to go back .

loved our brunch here. the avocado toast with salmon was delish! we also got one of the desserts for a birthday we were celebrating and it was honestly incredible! we had great service and the ambiance is fantastic. the parking situation wasn't entirely ideal as the valet was sadly full and parking in Brentwood is so sparse, but oh well!

Wonderful meal. We were there for dinner. Had the Greek salad which is prepared tableside. Very nice. Good Dover sole also prepared tableside. Excellent service.

We celebrated my birthday here yesterday with my wife and our 2-year-old, and it was everything I hoped for. The ambiance was elegant yet relaxed, the food was incredible, and the service made us feel truly welcome—even with a toddler in tow. Every detail was thoughtful and elevated. Thank you, Baltaire, for making the night feel so special. We’ll be back.

This restaurant has the atmosphere perfect! A beautiful room with an open roof, I felt like I was dining on Maui. The menu was as expected for a great steakhouse. However, I don't eat red meat, so I got to enjoy the excellent chicken main course. The greek salad made table side was perfect and large enough for 3 of us to have a healthy portion. The cold seafood appetizer was the size of a lobster dinner entrée anywhere else. Fantastic. The prices were on the high side, even for Los Angeles, but a great choice for a special night.

This is our favorite places for dinner in Brentwood. Our server (Kynnedy D--our favorite) was attentive and humorous. The food was delicious as always: one petite filet mignon, one filet trio, and one Boston Bibb salad. We loved our wine--Chateau De Parnay, "Le Blanson," Saumur Champigny, Loire Valley, France. The ambiance is lovely as well. Do make a reservation as we've never dined here without one, and the place is always bustling.

Baltaire is a spectacular dining experience. Starting with a understated ambiance, the extensive wine list, many more than usual by the glass, is framed by a very well stocked bar which includes an extraordinary selection of fine single malt scotches and ending in an epicurean experience that is not to be missed. The menu offerings are prepared and presented as befits the ideals of fine dining. The wait staff are without equal. The solminer is a great resource. Valet parking is fully validated. I am at a loss to adequately praise this establishment but it does require a near unlimited budget to enjoy.

Good for a special occasion or if you have money to burn. Horrified to have filet tasting trio delivered on a cold plate and then have a manager tell us it was to preserve the accompanying sauces!

I had an enjoyable dinner with my wife and her brother while visiting Los Angeles. The restaurant is in a central location, well decorated and classy. Our server was top notch. Food tended to arrive promptly, although desserts seemed to take extra time. We started with salads which were fresh and tasty. I had a bone-in Rib Eye which was high quality, perhaps a touch bland and not as marbled as I would prefer. My wife enjoyed Chilean Sea Bass which was prepared well. My brother in law, had the pork chops which were a little different in that the sauce was sweet tasting with a hint of the vinegar. If you are interested in the pork chops pay close attention to the menu as Blaire's preparation is unique. We ended the meal with the Pumpkin Cheesecake and Beignets. Loved the Beignets which were also served with a trio of sauces.

The San Vicente area has lots of breakfast joints. Most of the places are Jamba Juice or Bagel shops to grab and go; or eat very casually. My friends and I were looking for a sit down breakfast / brunch. Baltaire offered a nice option. Thought the staff was friendly and it’s full-service. Was speaking to the staff – it sounds like it’s a hopping place in the evening or drinks

Lovely setting in a wide open, airy and trendy high end steak house. If only the service could be matched - let me be more specific - our server and her assistants were prompt and our water glasses were refilled, but it took one hour to get our first course, literally. When the main course arrived, over 30 minutes later, there were mistakes in 2 of our orders (granted, we were 10, so is that to be expected?). Even after complaining to the General Manager, there were no improvements. The worst was he never came to our table after one of our party complained to subsequently check to see if things were okay. Did not stick around for desert and after asking for the check, which took 15 minutes, the check was completely wrong; we were charged for many items we never ordered (about $400 more worth). When we questioned the server, she explained that she was flustered and made mistakes. 15 minutes later when the new check arrived, they had taken $200 off the correct amount as a token of their recognition of the bad service - it was all blamed on the kitchen. However, based on what I pointed out above, not sure that is totally fair. The food was good, but not spectacular, especially at these very high end prices.

We went to Baltaire last night for our anniversary. It was a spectacular evening! The wait staff was just wonderful. We had 2 items prepared at our table. I got Greek Salad and Dover Sole. Just delicious and skillfully prepared. My husband got the filet tasting and the small fillets were sooo tender and scrumptious!! Even the Valet Parking was fast and efficient. We got a free dessert for our special night too!! We will definitely go back!

A huge restaurant that has a very nice bar area -- couches and comfy seats as well as normal bar seating. The drinks were great and the food quite good. I really liked the sliders and the tuna poke. The guacamole was good but I was not as big a fan of the taro chips they came with. This was a fun and lively place and great for people watching.

Had a really nice, not all that memorable meal here. Service was fine, steaks were tasty, sides were not bad. What this place (owned by the people of the Coral Tree Café next door) has going for it is a great location and some sleek, sexy decor that appeals to the rich, good-looking people who don't want to leave the 'hood for some steak. I will not be coming back, because for this money you can eat anywhere, but if you like spending big bucks on beef in Brentwood, look no further.

Overhyped, overrated but definitely not recommended. Multiple mistakes on our menu choices, long waits and sorely disappointing service made what was meant to be a special evening's treat into a chore and a bore. Noisy even tho not full, even mid week. As a ex local longtime resident, all I can say is: Brentwood you can do better! Or bring back the Daily Grill!

Don’t quite understand where the good reviews come from… The Food is very very MEDIOCRE to be nice. Salmon crispy rice, rice was super hard, lobster Mac and cheese was very bland, we had to dip it in our sauce to give little more flavor. Branzino was small portion and salty. We dipped it in Mac and cheese to make it little better tasting. Drinks were not good, didn’t leave us wanting to order more. The old fashioned tasted like Potpourri and on top of that we told them we had birthday and nothing… for fine dining restaurant I definitely have been to way better places in LA. If it wasn’t for the fact we were there for a birthday, I would have definitely walked out. Also told them twice we had birthday and nothing. would not go again!

The new restaurant in Brentwood (thank GOD it is not another Italian place) is a fun new steak restaurant. it is a very large space and there is a lot of table separation. Even though it is only 2 months old, the service, which I heard was sketchy, we fine. we did eat early so it was not that crowded. the service and the bone-in rib-eye were fantastic. i also recommend the Greek salad prepared table side. Terrific.

Baltaire was the site of our most recent bros dinner. Nothing like a good bros dinner. As Michael Scott once said, "Bros before hos. Why? Because your bros are always there for you. They have got your back after your ho rips your heart out for no good reason." The 3 bros sat down in the beautiful open air patio on a nice evening with no humidity. Gotta love LA. The feng shui in here is immaculate, as it just feels like a completed space with no clutter. Everything is as it should be. First and foremost, I need to shout out our waiter Jose. He was JOKES! Engaging with our un-witty banter and humor, just a good people person overall. He also had some great recommendations for wine and food, URGING us to get the octopus as a starter and what a fantastic call it was. Jose even played along with us as we asked what wine he recommended when we were just going to get the cheapest one anyway ahahahaha. We are on the come up but the bros aren't there yet! For starters, we went with the aforementioned octopus, the tuna tartare, and a mix of west/east coast oysters. I'm biased but west coast oysters are LIKE THAT. Apps were fantastic, no misses there. For mains, 2 of the bros got the filet mignon and one got his RARE like a psychopath. He dug his heels in the sand and said that at a good steakhouse you should always order rare. I couldn't disagree more, but this type of civil discourse is what pushes our society forward. He also grew up on a sheep farm so maybe he does have a bit more credibility than me... I always ask for affogato for dessert even though it's rarely on any menu and, much to my chagrin, most times they say they can't do it. Jose met my request with a furrowed brow, light smile, and a quick head nod while saying "Of course" in a tone as confident as Floyd Mayweather when talking about any potential opponent. THANK YOU JOSE THAT AFFOGATO SLAPPED. After dinner, the bros hopped in an uber and ended up playing Super Smash Bros and Rocket League into the wee hours of the night. A true bros night. IG @jnov_

Wow...never, ever again & you shouldn't either. I am absolutely stunned people like this place for anything other than the ambience and are gladly willing to pay appalling prices for subpar food & horrible service, down the line to include even the manager. Business dinner for 4 people : $1,076 Included: 2 way overpriced bottles of wine (I know what they should cost) Seafood tower that was overcharged by $35 2 sent back steaks (my tasteless bone-in filet came back when my 3 guests were done & I had to scarf it down...I've never had a tasteless bone-in filet before) Sides that were very average except for the mac & cheese which we actually enjoyed 1 overcharged steak - Cost: $65 2 sent back drinks Absolutely ridiculous $15 "tea service" that should have been served by someone other than the sommelier merely whisking up 1/4 cup of macha in a deep bowl No apologies made at dinner Called the restaurant the next day to discuss with the manager. No call back. Yelp messaged & emailed & I finally got a call back from the manager. The manager sincerely apologized, promised he'd take care of the steaks & the overcharged items & also "do something extra" to make up for his restaurant's shortcomings because it shouldn't have gone down as it had. I requested a revised receipt via email since this was a business dinner. A week & a half later...no credits, no email...so I left 2 messages at the restaurant, sent 1 Yelp message & sent 2 emails, all of which received no response. Now I can say that I'm even more incredibly grateful for American Express and their cardmember services, that's for sure. Oh, and I miss the Cheesecake Factory that this sorry excuse for a restaurant replaced.

We went early Monday evening. Greeted by a young host to an almost empty dining room to be advised to wait at the bar for a table to buy a drink. After waiting an unnecessary 15 minutes, we were greeted by another female host to show us to our table. Service was ok...nothing special. We poured our own overpriced wine. Caesar salad is everything but a Caesar. Rib eye for two was ok. Nothing near a Chuleton in Barcelona but hey, this is LA. We must improvise. Upon leaving, we gave our farewells to the “smart” robot at the door.

Beautiful room. Full bar. Efficient waiters. Expensive, but not over the top. I was there for lunch and the sandwich was gigantic, but not particularly tasty. Can't imagine why they would serve a sandwich that is too big to put in your mouth. I had to tear it apart to eat it. Wine is expensive. Glass of ordinary white was $24. Valet parking is 8-10$.

GOOD SIDE Location is really convenient, visible Front desk service is satisfactory/good Service is very good!!! Food quality is good, looks good, taste regular/good Price is reasonable BAD SIDE Valet Parking is bad!!! When we arrived we were waiting for 13 minutes before some people appear , when we go out of restaurant the person at valet parking desk was not able to find my key about 5-7 minutes.

There is a certain grand air in the steak restaurant which is separated into two sections at least. There was a separate menu for lunch and brunch and we chose to taste both as our company decided to try meat for lunch (huge is the word for the steak:)), salad and breakfast. Everything was served timely but were offered baked cinnamon cakes (of the sort) because they believed they were delayed in serving. I was visiting the city but you could tell that this is a place where receptions like an early confirmation, baptism, or even wedding can be hosted.

I have dined at this restaurant four or five times and each time my friends and I have enjoyed scrumptious food in a relaxed, elegant atmosphere. The service is professional and friendly and guests never feel rushed. I would recommend it highly.

My wife and I treated a friend to dinner here. Our server (Jonas A.) was attentive and humorous. The food was delicious as always: two petite filet Mignon, Maine Diver Scallops, jumbo asparagus, hand-cut fried, and Beignets for dessert. The ambiance is lovely as well. Do make a reservation as we've never dined here without one, and the place is always bustling.

Wait time between app and main was unusually long. When waiter placed steak down in front of me, he said “be careful, the plate is very hot.” What a joke. The platter was stone cold and the steak was room temp at best. Clearly he had failed to pick up the order when it was ready. Then to top it off, the New York strip was tough and clearly not prime beef. Since I was a guest of another couple, I didn’t complain. At these prices, the service and quality should be exemplary. Don’t waste your hard earned money. These are better steakhouses.

Couldnt find anything about this restaurant that would motivate me to go back.A very average experience with prices that will empty your wallet for sure!Yes, the atmosphere is nice and service is good, but the food was not memorable at all.Dont waste your time or money.

We decided to try a new restaurant and Baltaire was a good choice. It’s a more modern steak house with less traditional menu options – I like that. Food – We started with the grilled artichokes (excellent! one of the best I have had), lollipop lamb chops (very tender meat) and grilled octopus (good but not enjoyed by my guests). After appetizers that are best eaten with your fingers (except the octopus!) we really needed some warm wet towels. None were provided. For the main course we had: NY strip (extra $ for béarnaise sauce? Really?), dover sole (deboned at the table, my son really enjoyed this), and the duck (very flavorful). Sides: mac & cheese with lobster (we all agreed this was the best mac & cheese we have had), brussels sprouts (the special vegetable – excellent!), and the shishito peppers (don’t bother). Dessert was the low point of a very good meal. I love dessert but the bread pudding was dry and none of us liked it. The lemon meringue pie filling was too sweet. Service – Our waiter was knowledgeable and made some good recommendations. However, he and the other staff were not attentive enough. We aren’t high maintenance by any means but my water ran out, our butter ran out and I had to ask a couple times for another napkin. . My son’s girlfriend plans to come back with her family. She liked the high energy – translate very crowded and noisy.

Great place, beautifully designed, talented service, very enjoyable evening. The food was fantastic. The place is pretty pricey. I think the final bill for four people was $500 without any expensive bottles of wine. Still worth it. We will definitely go back. My wife had the rib eye and I had a 12 oz fillet. Both were very nice cuts of meat. The rib eye was just what you would want.... marbled, but not tough or gristly at all and very flavorful. The fillet was very tender and perfectly cooked to medium-rare, as I requested. The service I thought was very good. They did all the things you expect out of a fine dining restaurant including changing out silverware after every course as well as frequent cleaning the table cloth of bread crumbs, etc. The only mishap we had was that they bring the plates to the table fresh out of the broiler with the steaks on them. They did say the plates were hot, but my mother in law still touched the plate and burned her fingers a bit. So be careful of that. Also, the piano player/singer in the bar was really enjoyable. We hung out in the lounge after dinner and listened to another set of music before we left.

Classy steakhouse with steak that has been listed as some of the best in LA. Came here for dinner on a Sunday evening with the fam and it was a lovely meal. Valet parking available for lunch at $12 and dinner for $14, otherwise, metered street parking available. Credit cards accepted. They do offer gift cards. It’s good for big groups though most of the diners seemed to be comprised of small groups. Service was friendly and they did clean the table between courses. They provided complimentary bread and butter, which tasted high quality. Food-wise, we ate the following: - Spicy salmon on crispy rice - comes in 5 pieces. It’s a nice light appetizer and the presentation was pretty - Lobster bisque - nice lighter soup. Our mom liked this a lot. - Tomahawk - 3 of is split this and there were still leftovers for the following day. - Filet trio - our dad opted for this. The sauces included béarnaise and chimichurri, though in my opinion, chimichurri is the way to go. - French onion soup - super cheesy and well done. There was a good ratio of onions without it being too overbearing. - Brussel sprouts - an almost Thai take on Brussel sprouts, as these came with peanuts and a sweet chili sauce. A nice way to add greens to an otherwise rich meal - Frites - truffle is available but we opted for the regular ones. These aren’t crispy but the flavor is good and popping them into the air fryer the next day did wonders. - Butterscotch pot de creme - there’s no better way to end a meal than with pot de creme. This has just the right amount of sweetness and was velvety smooth.

High end steak house. From the GM Martin to the whole staff were wonderful. Decor is really comfortable and spacious. Had the tuna app which was outstanding. We each had the petite filet, which could have split, we are not huge eaters. The steaks came out super hot and cooked to perfection. It was one of the best steaks we have ever had. There is valet parking.

Service very good, ambiance good. Food average at best and overpriced. Go to Maestros, Water Grill, Wilshire, Capo or Nicks in Manhattan Beach. Food creativity boring, uninspiring and bland.

We had an excellent experience at Baltaire all thanks to Manager Leanne who guided us through a tasty experience of appetizers, cocktails, entrees, wine and dessert. We couldn't have done it without her and she made the experience even more fun and enjoyable. Thank you!

Baltaire has the components of a great restaurant; great location, great food, and superior atmosphere, but it falls short on service. The food is very good, but for the price the service should be impeccable--it is not. If they work out their problems, you may have a good experience. However, your money is better spent at a different high end restaurant or steak house. Try Tavern close by.

This is a great spot for any kind of lunch where you want to have a conversation. Beautiful space and design. The food was equally good!

Have now been to Baltaire twice - once on a Friday night when the bar was buzzing with wall to wall people and live music, and again on a Sunday night when the place was more subdued but still lively. I love it. The food is great - the menu has extensive options for all tastes. I have had the salmon and bison strip steak - both were excellent. Definitely recommend the fries - served in a too hot to touch metal dish so they stay hot and delicious throughout your meal. Other sides are delicious as well - brussel sprouts, mushrooms, baked potato. Artichoke and salads are great to start. Only negative is the wine list is very pricey. Not much below $95 per bottle, so we opted for wine by the glass.

One of the best in LA. Exceptional starters and steak; service and servers are great; decor is spacious and understatedly elegant; We ate at the bar and thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience

I like the decor and the location and the service started off well, then went downhill. Not one round of servings came out at the same time. We were 4 people and both rounds came out as 3 dishes and the 4th one 5-8 minutes later. Doesn't sound long until you realize 3 people are being polite and not eating the dish in front of them as it gets cold while the fourth is embarrassed and saying "go ahead, don't worry, I'm sure mine will be right out." The food was inconsistent. Nothing was spectacular, but 3 fails were: steak tartar was very, very salty, the charred octopus wasn't charred but rather steamed and almost slimy, and the curried cauliflower had no curry flavor at all. Through it all the waitress struggled to make things better, but soon even she lost hope. Not what I expected from a place of this standing.

The ambiance is great. Good service. Waiters have really gotten better as has the food. Steaks always more cooked than you order. Order one step rather than you think. They make it uncomfortable to send them back if it’s over cooked. Food is good. Very pricey. Bar is fun. Wine list is good. Bar drinks basic good.

Came for dinner. Highlight was tuna poke appetizer. It was accompanied by avocado and seaweed and served with taro root chips. Really tasty ponzu sauce. Probably the best poke I have eaten. The steak and accompaniments were on par with other steak house in the area. Nothing really outstanding. This restaurant is slightly more expensive than the other steakhouses in the area. Not sure if it is worth the extra few dollars. Restaurant is noisy. Bathrooms were not clean.

The space is huge and the tables are not close to each other, so conversations can be heard. Service was good. Steaks good. Ambiance cold and commercial

There was three of us for dinner and you know how the saying goes, “three strikes and you’re out”! Well, tonight would have struck out a whole team due to the lack of care by the Kitchen. After ordering the steak sampler with NO crab... obviously it turns up WITH crab. After tracking down our waitress it gets sent back. Plenty of time passed for the other main courses to get cold as the vegetables came out in dribs and drabs, . The fish was cold but the guest didn’t want to make a fuss. The side order of peas did not turn up, only to be told later they had actually run out of peas. The lamb chops were ordered medium-well and came out raw... I’m not talking a little raw... we’re talking so blue the chops were so alive it made sushi look cooked. It was so disgusting, it put me off my food that when the steaks came back I couldn’t eat them. The manager and waitress tried their best to make it up, which was some consolation (and the only reason this review got 2 stars and not 1). Sadly I/we will never, ever be back at this restaurant and honestly, for a restaurant of that caliber and at those prices... the chef should be sent back to cooking school.

Loved the fantastic service by Ryan. The filets were cooked perfectly and were really great. Decorated for New Years with live music. Really nice.

Balyaire is appropriately high-end, in a large, cavernous and noisy way. Steaks are superb but the rest of the menu is weak and eminently forgettable. The salmon tartar was insipid and fishy, with soggy fried scalloped potatoes (it was so bad that we barely had a couple of bites). The whipped potatoes were poorly seasoned and the little gem Cesar so underdressedvas to be dry and tasteless. The steaks and the fries were excellent, but that's about it. The live music is entertaining but very loud (so conversation is difficult). Overall, this place is best avoided. Tavern, across the street is a more polished, more creative and friendlier restaurant, serving food that uses better ingredients combined with much greater care and skills.

We came her for a weekend brunch. We ordered Harisa Lamb and New York Steak and eggs. Both dishes were done perfectly. We sat outside and it was very pleasant. Highly recommended.

Excellent food and service, but the live music on Friday night made conversation near impossible. It's unfortunate that I had to deduct one star but the music (noise) made the meal less than enjoyable. The filet medallions were superb as was the dessert. The attentiveness by our waitress (Tiffany), made the music tolerable, but I suggest that you go on a week night when they don't have live music.

Baltaire knows how to put on a show. Michael the host was most welcoming escorting us to our table in the center platform part with direct view to the open kitchen, bar & live entertainment. Ryan our waiter took such great care of us, we celebrated a Birthday! Most delicious appetizers, diver scallops, crab cakes, entrees Seabass and Filet, Mac & Cheese, Aspargus - all cooked to perfection. The specialty Cocktails suggested had fun names and the desserts were rich but so worth it, throughout the evening, the managers kept coming to the tables to see if we needed anything, thank you Mishel, Rita and KC ! Most amazing service and most beautiful ambience, you'll enter Baltaire through the biggest wooden double doors! Great valet service too.

The atmosphere was excellent. The food was good, I had the petite filet, it was cooked perfectly, but fatty. Never saw that in the filet mignon. The decor, table settings, drinks, everything was beautiful. however, Nothing that would justify their sky-high prices. I mean, we shared the appetizers and the sides, which were all a la carte, and the bill came to 220 per couple. That's some expensive dining for a meal that I could have had at Outback for 60 per couple. All in all, not worth it.

excellent food, service, atmosphere. elegantly casual. attractive place, servers, people, food. high prices. good variety of dishes, seafood plates, chicken, beef, good burgers, salads and veggie choices. enjoy!

Loved this in every way. Food was great, open outside feel with large potted olive trees was wonderful, fireplaces with comfortable couches were lovely.....a memorable experience. Server was outstanding. The only thing we might have changed was the steak trio was a tad over cooked.

They did a great job of remodeling a cheesecake factory. Elegant and well appointed. Had a $120 porterhouse which was worth the price. I think? Everything is pricey but good. If your not on a budget and don't need an ocean view this place is worth a try.

I heard the restaurant was terrific and was looking forward to an excellent steak. The wagyu was terrific but the service was spotty...had to change my seat and I never got a set up. Also, with the prices they charge, somehow the idea of charging $3 to $5 + for steak sauce was really over the top. Really??? Decor and atmosphere was wonderful.

We have lived in L.A. for 20 years - best brunch ever. Not cheap, expect to spend a lot of money - but our Sunday brunch today was pure magic. Great music (Live DJ), the best service, amazing food, Bloody Mary's to die for, Champagne Cart we tried too steal : ) It's like being on a wonderful vacation. Fun, fun, fun. Go to celebrate. Go big! FANTASTIQUE!

This restaurant is beautiful and very elegant. The service was impeccable. Our meal was outstanding. The shaved vegetable salad was delicious. Two of us had the ribeye and the other two shared the porterhouse. All in all a spectacular dinner.

Excellent experience at Baltairés it's rare to have meat that arrives hot, even simmering, and so good. The desserts were succulent, with a special mention for the "BUTTERSCOTCH POT DE CRÈME", which was Jimmy. The wine selection is fantastic, with an international wine list. The service was impeccable, the waiters very attentive and the sommelier's advice very good. Great restaurant with a very intimate decor. We'll be glad to come back the next time we're in Los Angeles.

lunch at baltaire was pricy and first-rate in luxurious wood-accented surroundings. nice big oval wood bar, curved leather bar chairs, soft lighting and music, lounge sofas, multi-fireplaces, airy, covered patio, well-spaced tables, unhurried, timely professional service staff, with our server Antonio charming us. generous full bar. the ahi tuna poke on avocado served with crisp taro chips was a perfect flavor combination, generous lobster Cobb salad $24, had all the right stuff in good balance, their butcher ground beef hamburger came cooked exactly as ordered with great skinny, hand-cut seasoned fries, thin pickles, $17, and an amazing 5-layered torte German chocolate cake slice with fresh coconut ice cream made a sweet grand finale. $12. valet $5 lunch/$8 at dinner. an enjoyable, refined experience!

Went to Baltaire for a late business lunch with some colleagues as we were in the area. Arrived about 2pm and even the the place was not that busy, we had to wait while they checked they had a table for "walk-ins" which I feel was a bit unnecessary given the number of occupied tables. Once we got settled we just went for one course each with two of us having the hamburger (which was delicious), the Greek salad with chicken and the chopped steak salad. Although they did mix up the order for the hamburgers, everyone enjoyed the food. Service was OK and ambience is nice although I am sure it would be better in the evening with a big crowd at the bar and in the restaurant.

We had lunch here with another couple. The space is chic, lots of light natural light, sleek decor, perfect LA style. The service, from the long wait to be seated to the wait to order and receive our food was however, quite disappointing. Food was pretty good. I ordered steak frites and green salad. Didn't dare order dessert as it took over 30 minutes before our order was taken. I guess you have to have more time to dine here, 2 hours isn't enough.

Filet Mignon was great along with lobster and shellfish. I did not have a sit down meal. I was with a party that had the whole front room. Food was fantastic. I'm sure it was pricy but Steak and seafood was 2nd to none.

Had a fabulous time! Terrific atmosphere! Great food and drinks! Will definitely revisit my next trip to LA!

I just love this place yes it expensive and no most people will not be going 3-4 times a month but when you have a special occasion this is the spot. The food is great the atmosphere is great and the ambiance spectacular! Great staff always checking to make sure everything is just perfect. The way the restaurant is designed you can tell a lot of time and thought was put into just how to make it special. The roof opens for half the restaurant when the weather permits and seating is not so pushed together as many other L.A restaurants are now. People may want to nit pick but I have not found much to complain about.

We were visiting from Phoenix & it was the weekend after Easter. There were 5 of us visiting from various places. We were staying close by in the Brentwood area at a BnB so we Ubered there which took 5 minutes! Others met us there and we were seated immediately upon arrival even with an incomplete party. That was a great start to a wonderful evening. Our waiter was a very nice gentleman, Manu, with excellent service. He has a french accent & was a handsome fellow so it made the evening even more fun & sophisticated! We started off with martinis which were yummy & they should be at $22 each! Others started with Tequila which was also pricey at $23 & $22! So keep in mind this is an upscale place! There also a live band playing in the bar area which was right behind us, we were in the elevated dining area. The bar area was a happening & the band gave a more festive feel to the evening. We each got a starter, I had the organic Iceberg wedge (I'm sucker for a good wedge) & this was great. Lots of yummy dressing & bacon lardons! Everyone else got the Caesar salad except for one who ordered the Jumbo shrimp cocktail. Next for entrees, I ordered the Lamb Chops, my Boo had the Prime Filet Bone-in w/ the au Poive sauce. He thought his was the best until he tasted my Lamb. WOW! So divine!! Others ordered the Salmon, the grilled Branzino and the Prime Filet. The sides were the Belgian frites, roasted heirloom cauliflower & the crispy brussel sprouts. All were fantastic! Some also had wine with dinner. For dessert we 5 shared the peanut butter pie & the Butterscotch pot de creme. These were off the charts delish!! It was one of those dining experiences that are rated in your lifetime. This was definitely in my top ten. We had a wonderful experience & great memories! PRICELESS!!

This is a beautiful restaurant that is a transformed Cheesecake Factory. The food is okay and the service is disorganized and a little weird.

Excellent steak and other food at this Brentwood steakhouse. The grilled artichoke was great as was the bread, burrata, and Caesar salad. The steak sauces were also great.

My daughter chose Baltaire in our old neighborhood because she wanted to try this new talked about spot for her birthday dinner. The staff, although attentive, was overly attentive to the point where we felt their discomfort likened to that of a top down managerial stronghold. When will management and the accountants understand that the patron can pick up on this. Meanwhile, although I was happy our server told us to order our own entrees due to their size, I must say that our lobster Normandy was nothing to write home about; except for its priciness. Not one of us out of the five in our party was thrilled with their food.

My husband and I came here just before 7 pm on a saturday night, without reservations. I guess we got lucky because right away we were seated at one of the really comfy couches. The place is beautifully decorated, hard to believe it used to be Cheesecake Factory! It's high energy but not too loud. People of all ages were hanging out, mostly older people at the tables, the young and the beautiful around the bar, and the in-betweens on the couches!! We ordered shredded veggie salad, petite steak( not too small after all!), sea bass, with sides of french fries and the brussels sprouts. They were all really delicious. I would say the sides were quite large, so if you're watching your calories you might want to share one. Our server was a beautiful young woman who was attentive but not intrusive. Unlike most bustling restaurants in LA where you are constantly rushed to order the next course, or get the H-- out, she never hovered around making us uncomfortable! We ended up staying there( and enjoying the vibe, the people-watching, and the music) for two hours. We had no room left for desert, but there's always a next time!

Great crowd; spectacular design elements; good steak; best Lobster Mac & Cheese anywhere, and abominable service. The white-suites waitstaff here almost seem to go out of their way here to avoid and ignore customers. Thankful for the (lovely and ever helpful) busboys, or perhaps nobody would have ever noticed we were spending big bucks to try and dine here...

We went to Baltaire to celebrate a friend's 40th birthday. The restaurant is definitely on the pricey side, but the food and drinks were amazing. In fact, this may have been one of the best meals we had in the past 5 years. Save up...it's worth it.

We dined at Baltaire last night with family and friends. There were 5 of us. We each had an entree (although my wife and I split a 12 oz filet), 2 bottles of Champaign ($110/bottle) and the total with tip came out to nearly $900. We sat out on the covered patio, and once it got dark, they turned down the lights so that you could barely see anything at our table. It was way too dark. The food was very good, but at these prices it wasn't worth it and I would not go back.

Arrived on time for our reservation. Were made to wait 35 min in the extremely loud and full bar that had live music reminiscent of a bad 80s cruise ship band. Nobody could hear themselves think as people who arrived for later reservations were sat before us. We finally found the manager who was not very apologetic or nice for that matter, he went to the host stand and arranged for us to be brought to our table. The servers were not very attentive came 2 times throughout, one of them mentioned she was so sorry it was so loud and she had to shout at us. Nice right? The food was fine, not the most mind blowing, but also not awful. The drinks were ok, nothing to write home about. I don’t think I’ve ever felt less comfortable at a dining experience, so if anyone wants to shout at their friend to maintain a dinner convo, get treated like garbage by the employees, and have mediocre food/drinks while being a captive audience to a bar mitzvah style rendition of a Jackson 5 song while trying to enjoy a ‘Michelin’ rated meal, Baltaire is gonna be your jam!
Pleasantly surprised
Attended a corporate dinner here in a very nice private room. A set menu, but with lots of choices on the food. Wine was a simple red/White choice, but both were high quality California offerings. I had a dinner salad and an enormous filet of salmon. Both were excellent. Too full to sample dessert. Remarkably good service-- not the usual impersonal experience at most corporate events. I will definitely return and try the regular dining experience here.
