Side dishes make the meal

By Tonycp55 |

The generous portions of their side dishes make great meals themselves. Toss in either the fish tacos or broiled seafood platter and you have the making of a great dinner. Coming back for the Lobster bisque next time since they ran out during their lunch rush.

Lovely evening with my spouse

We'd discovered that they were having live music - great food, fun and music and service. The wait was minimal.

Slow Service, Great Chef

By Barbara D J |

I ordered salmon sliders and steak. Food was great. Family on a layover and we decided on Baltimore Seafood. Took 30 plus minutes to close out our ticket!!!

High Quality Food, Great for Take Away

By Robert Franklin |

There is a chef in the house. They understand fresh ingredients, careful, consistent preparation, and high-quality results. I ordered the same thing each time so I am a limited help. But I enjoyed the Passionfruit margarita,; A; catfish strips, A; yams, A: kale greens w/ Turkey, A-; mac&cheese, A; sweet potato muffin, A. Cost: $62.

Felt Right At Home

By Reggie B |

I had not been to Atlanta in a few years and this place was recommended. I really enjoyed this restaurant and could have stayed there for hours. The atmosphere, the decor, the food and the music was on point. Our server, "Tierra" was awesome. Along with everything i mentioned and with her personality, I will definitely come back the next time I visit. The Blue Crab fingers is a must. The salmon sliders and fish and grits will keep you coming back. Did I mention that everything was seasoned well?!?!? Most places don't season food anymore. Baltimore Crab and Seafood does. If you are in the area or looking for somewhere to relax. I recommend you give them a look!!!!!!

That chocolate cake tho...

By 195robyne |

OK. I know I should start off with the entree, but that chocolate cake was dang good. What made it better was they asked if I wanted it heated just slightly. You know, just enough so that the frosting doesn't run, but it glistens. Yes. You understand. Anyway, here I am reviewing this nine months later, but seriously that chocolate cake made me top procrastinating. I am in Baltimore, but this place is now on my list whenever I am in Atlanta. The atmosphere made me feel posh and "in." I assure you, I am neither. Yet, I felt like a cool girl in the surroundings. Very friendly and accommodating waiters. How many places ask if you'd like your cake slightly warmed? My sister suggested the spot because I wanted seafood and then me being from Baltimore, well...it just worked. I ordered the small plate of shrimp and grits, and it was the perfect size. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and seasoned and the grits were creamy and hearty. That's what I like (come on Bruno Mars)! The crab cakes were good, but not fantastic. See my dad was a chef, so I'm hard on crab cakes because his were amazing. This is a great place to go for a girl's night out or even a date. Prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is vibrant and the food has good flavor. Oh and get the chocolate cake. Seriously. I hope they still have it.

Lunch on a Saturday

Instead of the hustle and bustle we normally experience trying to eat out on Mother's Day, we skipped the lines and the drive to pay respect to a local secret hotspot. Well , NOT really a secret just not jam packed yet but I tell you it's coming. Baltimore Crab and Seafood hit the spot. It was in the neighborhood, we beat the crowd and the food and service was very good. This is a fairly new spot with a hipster flavor. Rustic table top booths with velvet booth seats which extend up to the top of the wall. The bar is even beautiful and some evenings a jazz band will serenade you. Folks hang out in the bar enjoying music and friendly banter. There were some frequent visitors, I met a couple who wind down there twice a week! The menu boasts of shrimp, crab, Salmon, fried Lobster Tails and traditional sides like cabbage, asparagus, candied yams, corn on the cob and broccoli. During happy hour drinks are $5. I give it a 4 because the place is really small and once the word gets out, there will be long waiting times. Until then, try to make it over to Cascade, in plaza behind new Chick Fil A and shhhh, don't tell your friends.

Simply Delicious

I love everything about this restaurant except the wait. Even when you have a reservation there is a wait. The food is delish and the drinks are great. I really love the kale salad and salmon sliders. I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

Great spot for couples

By Rámel |

Talk about a hidden gem. This place is fantastic. The ambiance is amazing. The owner spared no effort to ensure that we were satisfied from the very beginning of our experience. Now for the food- it was to die for! The crab cakes were pure lump crabmeat. I highly recommend anyone who loves crab cakes and great seafood visit this establishment.

SW Atlanta Gem

By MissyKelly |

I spent most of my life living near the ocean so finding good seafood in Atlanta has been a challenge until eating at Baltimore Crab and Seafood. The crab cakes, salmon, mac and cheese, candied yams, and banana pudding were all delicious, fresh, and well seasoned. Not to mention the service was courteous in a posh ambiance.

Enjoyed the food & service.

By trainstar5 |

A real estate agent nearby recommended this place and I'm very glad he did. It's a small, cozy place with great food and nice drinks. My wife & I had the lobster & crab dinner, with sides of red potatoes, broccoli & corn plus we ordered other sides of kale greens & cabbage. Very tasty meal that will satisfy everyone's palate. Crab legs are seasoned nicely with garlic & butter as well as the 2 split lobster tails. This was a meal we truly enjoyed. Service was very good & the drinks hit the spot. We will be going back. Intimate bar with tv's & great service, this place, I am recommending to family & friends. Almost forgot, the cheesecake was delicious as well. Good way to top off a meal.

Great Ambiance and Great Food!

By NanceyH |

We were visiting for a few days and this restaurant came highly recommended. We were seated rather quickly and the hostess was very cordial. The menu selection had exceptional choices and I was confused on which items to order since there were many options. We ordered several items between myself and my family and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We even had the pleasure of sitting back after the meal to talk and the hostess continued to refill our drinks without question. The price point was great and we will definitely return when we visit again soon!

Great food, atmosphere, and music☺

By Scorpio30331 |

My husband and I visited this restaurant for the 1st time today. I felt comfortable when I walked in. The restaurant is decorated nicely and the music is on point. The food is on point also. I had salmon, spinach, and banana pudding for dessert, so good. My husband had fried shrimp and corn on the cob. He enjoyed his meal also. We will definitely come back again soon.

Reviews were misleading

By msverveinc1 |

First time there. Greeting was professional. Was told that there would be a 30-45 minute wait. Fine, based off reviews that food would be worth the wait. Menu had variety and price point seemed fair. Waitress greeted us right away and got tea immediately. Food on the other hand came an hour later. Waitress mentioned that the manager knew that we were waiting that long but no greeting from manager. Still waiting for good food based off reviews. Chicken breast and fried lobster was dry and salty. Shrimp and grits.. not restaurant quality. Yams were burned a bit and cabbage was fine. Only reason we didn't leave because it was the last resort to eat that night and didn't want to travel anywhere else cause other restaurants were too crowded. Not coming back...maybe under new management and cook staff.

Poor Business

By Tamika G |

I made reservations at least a month in advance only to be called two days prior saying they have a party at 8 coming in so my friends and I would have to be out by 8. Our dinner was at 6. They wanted me to still pay the $50 for a semi closed room. For us to make our orders, eat our food/drinks and be out in 2 hours. No thank you. You people are crazy.

Must have been a bad day for them...

By Misty M |

I had read some great reviews on this location and my fiance and I decided to dine here on Valentine's Day while in town. There were several people leaving upon our arrival. We were sat at a small bar to avoid a long wait but not long after, we were moved to a table because people kept leaving. They had a Valentine's Day menu that they did not allow customers to deviate from. Many people left because of this. We would have left except we were pressed for time and didn't have time to go to another location and wait because we had tickets to an 8 o'clock show. The atmosphere was great. They had a Valentine's Day special and had to be selected from their "Valentine's Day" menu. It included an appetizer, an entree, 2 sides (very limited) and a dessert. Our appetizers arrived with one of my fiance's side dishes and my entree. I assumed the waitress had left to go get the rest and after she didn't return for some time, I stopped her and questioned the fact that I had not received my sides, my fiance had not received his entree and other side and that our appetizers arrived with some of our main course. She then went to the back and brought the remainder of our items. The dessert was great but the other food, not so tasty. Based on service, the menu they were dedicated to over retaining customers, an the sub par food, I am not likely to visit this location again. Very disappointed.

Good early evening (@4:00 pm) dinner. We had a late lunch!

By Theo G |

We had a very good experience at BC&S. The staff was new but cordial. Hats off to the chef!!! Our dinner started with mussels and crab cake- FABULOUS! Our main entrees was a fried seafood platter and a broil seafood plater. All is amount of food was enough for two meals, which we will enjoy around 8:00pm tonight. They open 12:00pm- 12:00 am. Go before the night crowd. It's very crowded on Friday nights-. Thanks to the staff at BC&S!!!

The food that was received was good......

By tracey w |

Arrived here on a Saturday afternoon, and was pleasantly surprised it wasn't crowded so I assumed it wouldn't take long to be seated----wrong! Service is excessively slow. Here is the breakdown: After 15 minutes of being seated water brought, we order drinks. 20 minutes later drinks arrive ordered appetizer and entrees. 35 minutes more minutes later entrees arrive, no appetizer arrived. Manager removed this off the bill since he was the one who brought the food to us. Food-Halibut was delicious and the Trout not so much, although the kale was very good. Plan on spending a long time here and frankly, I think the tables are to close to one another (on the floor....basically, about 8" apart). Nice decor.

Avoid Baltimore Crab & Seafood

By Bonnie W |

Had dinner there last night with two other couples. Reservations were at 6:15 and after finally being seated (close to 6:30), we found they were already our of three main courses. They even ran out of romaine lettuce for a Caesar's Salad. A lobster dinner was on the menu and I was assured it was a 1 1/2 lb. lobster. No way. It was a "chicken" lobster - maybe 3/4 lb. Maybe. Overcooked (I ordered it boiled, but it came broiled). The shrimp dinners were also overcooked as well and a bit burned. Service was very slow. We made reservations, and you would think the kitchen would be more prepared for the crowd. I believe they were totally overwhelmed. Totally disappointed with the service, lack of food on the menu, and quality of the dishes. We will never return.

Excellent Food!

By L D |

The food is excellent. It's prepared immediately after you order, so if you're with a big party then you'll wait a bit. But it's so worth it. I usually get the broiled seafood platter with scallops, shrimp, and salmon. Excellent. I wanted to go back the next day! The food is seasoned very well and the drinks are great!

Baltimore and more

By Caprystar |

The 5 of us went there for a little celebration, the wait wasn't too bad, but I think it was because we were there at 1 pm, It didn't take too long to be served once we ordered. The food was so good, I ordered crab legs while my wife had a whole lobster for a pretty good price might I add. Any crab leg lovers know the amount of work it takes to get to the meat, but interestingly, the crab legs were very meaty and juicy. The only thing is their parking lot could use an expansion.

evening out with friends

By bessiemccaffrey |

The food was excellent. This was my first time there. We are visiting friends who live here. The live entertainment was excellent. It was a great experience. I will return the next time that I am in Atlantic.

Great hidden away spot

By DrAlias |

I decided to check out this spot for lunch while waiting on my car to be serviced next door. I loved the decor look and atmosphere of this place. Very clean and neat with friendly and professional staff which is a plus. They had a nice crowd for lunch and I hear 5 pm and later each day is even better. I chose to sit at the bar since I was solo. The menu has great variety and reasonably priced. I ordered a salmon spinach salad and wine. Both was delicious! I highly recommend this tucked away gem and I can't wait to return.

A Bowl of Blah

By JazzFan23 |

Do not order the so-called lobster fried rice if you desire a side item (not appetizer) that is flavorable. This lacked flavor and barely had recognizable lobster. Also, the service was quite SLOW. I joined a party of six already seated and it took the waitress 30 minutes to take my order. The party has just ordered and it took 40 minutes for them to get their food. All of them ordered appetizers! I might try this restaurant again, but from what I tasted it won't be anytime soon.

Catfish fingers were outstanding!!!!

Nice Time for Girls Night Out

By Mrs_Ware229 |

Two of my friends who live in Atl wanted to come eat. One has been before and one had not. The service was prompt. There were reasonable portions of food and drinks were off the chain!! Note the parking is limited and reservations are encouraged. I was not disappointed

The Epitome of a Black Owned Business!

By Alexis K |

I chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday with friends. I made a reservation for a party of 4. When we arrived at the hostess stand, I was told we would be seated shortly. Shortly turned into 10 mins later while the hostess was taking call in orders and taking payments from other patrons with to-go orders. I went back to the counter and asked if my party could be seated. Finally we were seated in a lovely booth. The decor is really nice. Once we were sat, we looked over the menu, started talking and realized after 10-15 mins no one had been over to us to take our drink order or appetizers. I went back to the hostess, and asked for a server to come over to our table. Minutes later a nice young lady came over to greet us, and took our order. The crab cakes were very delicious, so was the crab and spinach dip. We ordered a second round of drinks, and the server came back to the table and said the bartender could not make anymore of the mixed drinks we ordered. I asked why, she shrugged her shoulders and said that's what she was told. So my guests ordered other drink choices. I believe its because they were out of the ingredients, why else wouldn't it be available. Next came the entrees. I ordered a crab cake and a side of seafood salad. When it arrived. I only had a crab cake on the plate. I asked where the seafood salad was at? She said I'm sorry, we are out. I asked her why they were out of food early in the evening on a Saturday. Her response was "sorry, it's black owned." Me and my guests were stunned that she said that out loud! Lol. One of my guest's jokingly told her someone needs to go across the street to Publix! She knew we were becoming irritated so she had the manager stop by our table. We asked him what the deal was with our choices not being available. He gave us a smile and never responded. Then walked off. Where they do that at? Now for the check. She brought them to the table, everyone paid. When she brought the copy back to sign, she informed us that for parties of 4 or more, gratuity is added to the check! I had a problem with this because A.) That should have been expressed to us upfront before she ran our cards and B.) The service we received certainly did not warrant 20% gratuity. They definitely will not get anymore of my business. It's not like Atlanta has a shortage of good restaurants. Dining out is all about the experience not just the food. I'll go somewhere that is prepared to provide a service not just fix a plate.

Sophisticated Spot

By GA_Wren |

One of the best things about this neighborhood gem is its decor. It's smartly decorated with modern gray and silver hues with spacious booths. And it was clean. Since my last visit to Baltimore Crab and Seafood, I was pleased to see that they've doubled their space. The servers/hostesses were professional and friendly. Our server was excellent. When my friend couldn't decide between two wines, she took it upon herself to bring samples of both for tasting. My crab legs were buttery and savory. My caesar salad was crisp and fresh with the right amount of dressing. I'm so glad to have a local restaurant to bring guests that is not a tired chain. This gem is worth a visit for seafood lovers!

If you are not sure....just do it!

I had dinner at this restaurant with my cousin while visiting Atlanta for the weekend. I was pleasantly surprised at the spaciousness of this establishment. It is located in a small store front and really did not expect much room, happily I was wrong. The decor is nice and the food is FANTASTIC. I must say the greens were my favorite but gotta tell ya I did not have one bite of food that I was dissatisfied with. We shared had the 1/2 lobster appetizer and our entree was crab. Delicious!! I wanted the banana pudding but they were sold out, oh well i guess I saved myself from the calories. LOL! The only down side was the service was on the slow side. we enjoyed it so much we returned the next day and got crab salad to go for lunch.
