Patience

By Mel_Medd |

I'm going to jump into the extraordinary customer service here. All of the waitresses are women AND the cooks in the back are all men. This group of women work super hard and the most amazing part is that they treat eachother so well. I typically see women in other restaurants and they don't help eachother out, but these girls worked together so well. When one needed help there were another 3 listening to see which could hop in and help. This restaurant isn't big so there are about 10 tables But it's always full. With heavy traffic coming in and filling every table as well as to go orders they were non-stop. Even when things would die down a little they were re-stocking on items, cleaning all the dishes, cleaning the menus, and making some extra fresh goodies for their bakery section. The owner walked in shortly after and began helping in the kitchen. They are all dressed well and clean. I continue to mention cleanliness because usually places as small as these tend to look rundown or maybe it's because of the area. Now, on to the food. It was great! I had arepas, deities de Queso y guava. Cafe con leche, arepas, etc. All of it was freshly made and very yummy. Overall, this place was very good with an incredible staff!

The Best (Kosher) Chinese Food Ever!

By Simon P |

As a resident of Central Florida, where kosher dining options are sadly lacking, I was thrilled to discover Bambu Kosher Chinese in Miami during a recent trip. Knowing I'd be passing through, I seized the opportunity and placed a rather substantial takeout order, featuring a variety of Dim Sum, noodles, and, most importantly, Bambu's utterly delicious crispy beef. My journey back to Orlando was over four hours, and I was a little concerned about the food staying warm. However, the restaurant packed everything so expertly that it remained piping hot throughout the entire drive! Each and every bite of every dish was absolutely delicious and did not disappoint. The food was excellent, the service was excellent, and I give Bambu Kosher Chinese the highest possible rating. If you're looking for fantastic kosher Chinese food in Miami, this is the place to go!

50-50%

By Frank M |

My wife ordered a whole deep fried Mojarra Fish and it was outstanding, delicious and very well prepared and presented, but my "chicken empaizado" ( breaded chicken) steaks was terrible, overcooked and greasy, will give them another try...... Ps..The ambiance is nice but the music is too LOUD!

Everything was amazing!

By SarasotaFoodLover |

I was visiting by brother and his family for an international skating event and we had limited options for us to eat near the skating arena. We walked over to Bamboo thinking we'd give it a try. WOW. Every dish was great and the service was amazing. Jackie is wonderful, and the food...simply great. Go there. You'll be glad you did!

The Food is INCREDIBLE and real colombian cuisine

By richardwolffe |

Not only the service is great, beautiful girls are going to take care of you and the food is really good, healthy and fresh... I guess the best part is that this restaurant are really careful with the ingredients and they are true to their roots. Excellent spot to visit in Miami.

Great weekday lunch restaurant!!!!

By Jacques R |

Yes!!! 5/5!!! Come to this place for 2 plates only. The rib (beef) soup and the avocado salad. This place is NOT fancy, NOT a Saturday night place to come but a โ€œworkday lunchโ€ place to eat VERY well. It has an amazingly good beef soup with manioc (yuca) corn, culantro that is VERY tasty and fillingโ€ฆ it does come with 2 sides to choose from. The avocado salad is very refreshing with tomatoes, cilantro and a lemon dressing! Service is quite nice and fast! The place is medium cleanโ€ฆ could use a little help thereโ€ฆ. All in all, will keep on coming!!! Cheers

Great authentic Colombian restaurant

By Jennifer P |

Small and quaint. The food is delicious. I had the baby churrasco with plantain and carrot slices. My fiancรฉ had the huevos revueltos con todo, which was a hefty portion including an arepa and coffee for $5.50! The waitress was very friendly and explained the menu very well to me.

Sancocho at it's Best!

By Loucious |

Feeling a bit Chilly these Festive days/nights? Hit Bamboo for some Steamy Sancocho (Colombian soup)(Chicken or Beef)! This is Sooo good it will wake up the living dead! (Spanish translation, Lol). Or my absolute favorite plate - the Bandeja Paisa! Make sure to start off with some mini empanadas-simply marvelous! A deliciously cold Colombian beer to wash-em all down too! GetSome!!

Awesome food and service!

By Leana M |

This restaurant is a hole in the wall but itโ€™s amazing! The food is delicious and the service was phenomenal. Viviana was our server and she catered to all our requests with the best disposition even though it was Fatherโ€™s Day and they were packed. The restaurant doesnโ€™t seat many people but the quality of the food makes up for any wait time you might have. Will definitely visit again.

Early Sunday Dinner

By nibaldom2015 |

Decided to do some Colombian Cuisine today, a neighborhood. We have dined here on various occasions. Today it was busier than usual, so the service was not usual. Today appetizers and entrees took longer than usual, that said the food was good as always. If your looking for an out of the ordinary, un pretentious restaurant this is your place. If your looking for consistent tasting Colombian food then try this restaurant. Enjoy

Super legit place to get Colombian food

By WorldTraveler_and_Co |

We have been coming to this place for a few years already and it is probably the best place to get Colombian food outside the west Kendall area. The restaurant is very small and it gets really busy during lunch hour and weekends. The have a good selection of Colombian dishes and the servings are rather large (enough to share). Their bandeja paisa is really delicious, as well as, the breakfast (the carne asada & calentado is great).

Outstanding Colombian Cafe in Miami

By louisa756 |

My Miami family recommended Bamboo for a reasonably-priced yet very delicious lunch since I had never tried Colombian food. I was amazed how tasty and different the food and drinks are here. Lunch specials are offered on the board M-F except holidays for about $9. Complete lunches include a simple salad, side veggie, (sometimes and outstanding soup) and outstanding entree. I sampled the breaded, fried tilapia which as perfect. I ordered the Campero soup which is some of the best comfort soup ever. Lentil soup is also fantastic (better than Indian lentil soup). Broiled chicken was tender, skin was perfectly cooked and mildly spiced. Lunch plate servings are generous and a fantastic value with home-cooked, comfort food flavors. Even the white rice was perfectly cooked and has an outstanding taste. I cleaned my plate even after enjoying two empanadas. Oh my God the empanadas!!! They are deep-fried, yet not greasy, crispy, and packed with flavorful meat. I had to control myself with those outstanding empanadas. Of course my cafe con leech was also outstanding. They serve Colombian coffee. Yes, I am a coffee snob and was extremely satisfied here. My Dad's flan was also one of the best. I was so pleased we came back here for another lunch before I had to leave Miami. I had the Lomo (breaded pork cutlet) from the lunch special which was GREAT. The restaurant is extremely small and located in an unassuming shopping center. It is dark inside but cool, modern and comfortable with good wood chairs and tables. Best for groups of six persons or less. I will definitely come back here to eat again next time I am in Miami. I understand the owners operate other Colombian cuisine cafes located throughout Miami under different names but I do not have that information.

Great Latin food in Kendall area!

By Catherine M |

I have been eating food from Bamboo restaurant for a couple years, and now that the shopping center they are located in has just finished being remodeled I think it is a great time to formally review this neighborhood restaurant. The inside is on the small side, but there is sit down service and the staff is very courteous. They have delicious natural fruit shakes as well as wine, beer and sodas. I've tried the passion fruit and mango shakes, which are both great. Their menu has a good variety of Latin dishes from chicken and steak entrees to fish and even pasta dishes. I've had the mango chicken on several occasions and have also tried their pork and hawaiin style chicken. All entrees come with two sides, which ranges from rice and beans, fried plaintains, yuca, salad, french fries, etc. The food is home cooked and will leave you satisfied both in your stomach and your wallet. They have take out available as well. Give Bamboo a try and you will not be disappointed.

Delicious!

Lunch with friends who highly recommended this place to me. It is a smaller place but with good ambiance, good service and delicious food! I ordered the Baby Churrasco and it was prepared perfectly to my satisfaction. We were all having so much fun that I forgot to take pictures of my steak. I did get one of my drink, vodka pineapple with mint. Easy parking because the place is located in a strip mall. I would definitely go back there again.

Best Colombian Food Ever!

By richardwolffe |

The service is great! While there are a lot of these kind of restaurants in Miami, it is for me a little unusual to find a place where you can notice that they love what they do and have a profound respect for the sanctity of food. The owner told me about his passion for the restaurant business and how he likes to honor the Colombian traditional recipes. Yes you can talk with the owner, he is always around taking care of everything. I think it is a great place to enjoy lunch or dinner. Bamboo's cappuccino is great, you have to TRY IT!

Whole Fried Fish $8 Lunch Special

By kfitzeats |

Recently came here on a lunch date with my boyfriend and was so pleasantly surprised! This restaurant is tucked away in a strip mall but once you walk in you can feel the authenticity of the Colombian Cuisine they offer. Service was immediately attentive and warm to my Venezuelan boyfriend and I which is really nice for a non-spanish speaker like myself. The restaurant was pretty packed for their lunch hours and we grabbed the last two person table available when we walked in. I also noticed that my boyfriend and I were probably the only non-Colombians in the restaurant which was an immediately good sign for me! I had researched their lunch special beforehand for my food page and though they don't offer the same specials anymore we were informed that they still had discounted lunch special that varied daily. The two options were a whole fried fish and macitas de puerco which are some of my favorites so I was happy about it! The specials come with rice, soup, and a salad. I got the whole fried fish with a fish chowder and my boyfriend chose the pork with a red bean soup. All of it was delicious and they even gave us a whole avocado salad complementarily. The best part is when the check came around our entrees were $8/each for all that food! We had two box a lot of it up to take home. I really couldn't believe it and have since then recommended it to many others for lunch but would be interested now in coming in for a dinner meal! IG: @KFitzEats

My new favorite in Miami

By Cami | Motorhome Girl |

This little whole in a wall place has just become my new favorite casual dinner place in Miami. Now that i have my motorhome I will eat here very very often. it's definitely a place to bring my friends. The food is AMAZING: tasty, fresh, there's variety and healthy overall. My mom and I really enjoyed it. We had the Sancocha de Costilla (stew) with a side of yuka and beans and chicken with rice with a side of fried bananas. We can't wait to go back. In our next visit we already know what we're getting: Turkish salad with empanadas. It looked amazing on our neighbor's table. The waitress is very nice and portions are so big with the sides that we brought a lot of food home and we're very happy we did! We spent $27 plus tips! 10 OUT OF 10.

Great find!

By Weareallthewaves |

Found this place by word of mouth during a recent trip to Miami. What a find! The long wait was totally worth it. We had empanadas, chicharron, churrasco, sancocho de costilla and grilled fish. It was all delicious! We dined with our 8 month old baby and 3 year old and no one seemed to care at all. The staff and clientele were friendly and accommodating! Would go back again in a heart beat.

Nice Colombian Restaurant

By Cucolio D |

Although it's a small place and tends to be very crowded, typical Colombian meals/food is served at reasonable prices.Very nice service.

Small restaurant but authentic

By maggiet0813 |

The restaurant seats about 40-50. It serves very authentic Colombian food and other dishes as well. It serves wine and beer. Went on a Monday and it was pretty busy; however, only had one server working. It is in a strip center and plenty of parking.
