Excellent atmosphere and food! 100% recommended for those looking for a Colombian restaurant with exquisite food.

I decided to try Bandeja Paisa because I was curious if it was really one of the ten best restaurants in all of Miami, as rated by TripAdvisor. I mainly use TripAdvisor to select restaurants when we travel because it has worked well, but generally I don't think it is accurate in Miami. Bandeja Paisa is a very pleasant Colombian restaurant in a bland strip mall in a nondescript part of west Miami. Don't expect to find anything exotic or unusual but they do have the typical dishes like sancocho, ajiaco, and mondongo. Everything is well-prepared, the staff is pleasant and efficient, and English is spoken if necessary. It is a very nice place to eat tasty and traditional Colombian comfort food. Bandeja Paisa also offers canny incentives for good online reviews. Is Bandeja Paisa one of the ten best restaurants in Miami? One of the hundred best restaurants? Absolutely not. Miami is a huge city with dozens of world class restaurants operated by famous chefs and restaurateurs. Some of them miss the mark but there are a great many that offer unique and memorable dining experiences that are simply not comparable to a place like Bandeja Paisa. Why do they get rated lower on TA? I would say the main reason as that many Miami natives and visitors have unreasonably lofty expectations for expensive restaurants and are eager to leave bad reviews because the hostess didn't look them in the eye or the waiter didn't refill their water glass quickly enough. And then of course the bill was so high. It's all about respect here, the food usually comes second. So if you're scanning the top Miami restaurants and Bandeja Paisa (or any of a dozen similar highly-rated restaurants on TA) caught your eye rest assured that you will eat very well here. If you haven't tried Colombian food before this is a great place to discover it. However, if you are looking for a memorable high-end meal in a world class city you should be using resources other than TA in Miami.

The food was delicious and the service was immaculate, extremely kind, and super fast. Overall 10/10

This spot is great for anyone of any nationality looking for a great food. The churrasco was great and the limonada de coco was the best I had ever tasted. This Colombian spot is great for people of every nationality looking for a good experience of food, taste, and culture.

I came to Bandeja Paisa after hearing how delicious it was from so many of my Colombian friends. They weren’t lying at all! The food was delicious and the service was excellent as well. Alejandra and Diana were our waitresses and they made sure to answer all our questions and provide recommendations. I ordered the Bandeja Paisa, my brother got the Rabo Encendido and my dad ordered the Sancocho de Gallina Criolla. We were all extremely pleased and would have to rate this place 10/10! If you live in Miami or are visiting you should make this a priority!

The menu was very authentic Colombian with many traditional specialties. The service from our waitress Natalia 6 was very friendly and professional.

great place to grab lunch! figured it’d be something basic considering the small size of the place but the food was top notch and the presentation was elegant. The arroz de coco was divine! Our server Katy was fantastic! 11/10, super attentive and patient with our party of 7.

We were passing through Miami from the Florida Keys. We wanted a restaurant rated highly and relatively close to our hotel. Did we ever find a gem! We never ever had Colombian food. My wife had 1 of each of the 3 different Empanadas. They were delicious. Oh, the soup brought to the table was excellent. I had seconds. I had the Arroz con Pollo which was very good. Large portion. We finished with Chocorroma Con Helado which satisfied our sweet tooth. Delicious! Angie was our server and made our experience delightful! Thanks, Angie.

We (a family of 5) found this little spot and stopped as we passed through the area. The Menu is completely in Spanish (with pictures). Use the QR code to access an English language menu. Portions ranged from just right to large enough for leftovers. I'm both gluten free and dairy free and found plenty of options! Highly recommend the Tapas de tostones y Guacamole, con carne o pollo. And expensive 30.00 for a bandeja paisa was not worth it this was 13.99 plate

Five of us dined here and we had several selections, including appetizers, soup, and steak. I thought that my grilled steak was the best of all that we had . The Chicano was really overcooked, and I could hardly eat it. The soup was good, but did not have a lot of flavor to it . The guacamole was excellent . Our server was very nice and friendly . The sangria was really good. It was a little pricey there as our bill was over $180 .

I really enjoyed their bandeja paisa,it has everything you expected from it. Everytime I go, I get the same good experience. Meat was particular delicious. I personally think that their food is better than Pueblito Viejo's, even when the later is more famous. It's the best Colombian restaurant I have tried in town. I think, nevertheless, they should invest a little bit more on decoration.

I had the maicito mixto with pulled beef and chicharrón. It was pretty good, but nothing out of this world. My wife enjoyed her ajíaco quite a bit. Our server, Mariana was very nice.

It was our first time trying Colombian food. The food was fine and the portions were big. The staff were friendly. However, they didn’t speak English and there wasn’t English menu for non- Spanish speakers.

This restaurant boasts typical Colombian fare. They first greet you with a cup of house broth, on the house...Then you have the choice of a menu that includes their specially made hot dogs or ‘mega perros’ or the daily menu with 2 choices of a very delicious dish of the day.

Asked for my burger to be done medium and it came back well done the first time, so I spoke to the manager, second time it came out it was medium well. All in all, the burger was a solid 5 out of 10. The patty itself lacked flavor, the toppings were good and flavorful though, the side of fries was very stingy, I kid you not there were about 8-10 fries in the basket. Regular fries, not steak fries or curly fries or wedges. Service was okay to say the least. My wife had the sancocho de gallina and she really liked it, which is probably the only reason this place is getting 3 stars. We came last year and the food was much better, I believe someone bought the place and changed some things.
