Met up with friends here for dinner while in Seattle on vacation. Cute restaurant. Great drinks and fun menu. I would highly recommend if in the area.

Have eaten here twice, both times attentive service and great food. Their happy hour menu was especially good - loved the nachos and cocktail selections. Even enjoyed the Brussels sprouts :-) Decent outdoor seating on the street side patio.

So we decided on this place because it was within walking distance of our vrbo. It was so good we came back for a second meal. Very friendly staff and excellent food. Brought back memories of living in New Mexico 25 years ago. (Especially the sopaipillas) Good location and excellent outside seating.

I was on vacation, and spent about a week in Seattle. Based on my positive experience at the Bang Bang Café, I decided to eat dinner at the Bang Bang Kitchen, a similar New Mexican themed restaurant, on Othello Street. I was not disappointed, quite the contrary: I thoroughly enjoyed my meal there. The menu offers a very creative array of dishes, emphasizing New Mexican dishes, but with other interesting items that provides something for everyone. The food was delicious, not a wrong note in the main course or the sides, and the portions generous. I'm not a drinker, especially not when I'm driving, but I noticed a well-stocked bar. Again, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. As I noted in my review of the related Bang Bang Café, treating staff well is important to me, and I can invariably sense if the staff is treated well or poorly. The Bang Bang Kitchen's staff was very professional and friendly, service was fast but not rushed; the staff is obviously a happy team. Another good point about the Bang Bang Kitchen is that there is a garage just steps away, and the restaurant offers two free hours of parking. So getting to it by car is not difficult, even for a tourist like me. To summarize, I highly recommend the Bang Bang Kitchen, whether people are out with friends or family, or tourists.
Value, tasty dinner with excellent service
I visited on "Margarita Monday", when delicious house Margaritas are just $8 (quite the bargain for a Tom Collins style tall glass). Sat in the bar where there are a couple of HDTVs, and a very hospitable bartender Ryan. Very friendly neighborhood crowd as well. Ordered Fish Tacos (2) which are panko crusted, fresh white fish (probably cod) which were very crispy, tasty and generous. The meal came with a side of piping hot Mexican rice and whole pinto beans. Service was rapid, and pricing (for Seattle) is fair. Important note on free parking here. Park in the inside lot, get the QR code, but don't immediately pay. Go inside the restaurant and the hostess will validate free parking using the QR code. Parking is good for 2 hours.
