Not impressed. From the moment we walked in, nobody acknowledged us. Service was awful. Ordered the roti dish with extra roti (recommended by the waitress) the extra roti came out 10 min before the actual appetizer. My boyfriend had to wait 20 min after our dishes were served to get his food. Nobody checked on us the whole time, the servers/wait staff did not smile at all. Food was mediocre, and... they charge you for rice with your curry dish!! Absurd! Save your time and money and go somewhere else. I was very disappointed. I wanted to love this place.

We ate here on a Sunday evening, a party of 9. The food was excellent, everything from pad thai, to lemongrass chicken to Thai soup and chicken curry. We ordered 10 or so dishes and ate family style and all of them were delicious. The waiter was very prompt and I was amazed how quickly the food came out. Everyone in our group loved the food and it was not too spicy for us even with a couple non-spicy eaters. The restaurant was a bit dark, but ambience and vibe was nice. I would go here again. The Thai soup (coconut curry and prawns) was excellent. The prices were also very reasonable.

The restaurant the is really a bar. There is nothing wrong with the food here, there is just nothing really right about it. We stopped by for lunch and were impressed by the cocktail selection and the menu showed promise. This mean will not go down as one of our worst Thai experiences and a long way from our best. It's a beautiful place inside and quite comfortable. And sometime comfort is the most important thing!

We love Bang Bar! Always accommodates our vegetarian palate easily. The service is quick and super friendly. Love their tea menu! Pad Thai, Spicy Eggplant, Basil Fried Rice, and Ginger Entree, fresh rolls are consistently fresh and tasty.

Before going to the west seattle farmers market decided to have lunch. Didn't see their days/hours posted but while I was looking at their menu my wife tried their door and said they were open. Glad she did as we were promptly met (they must have just opened as we were the first table). We both ordered our favorite Thai food (she pad Thai & me green curry) along with spring rolls as appetizers. Spring rolls were excellent and as we were finishing those our orders were brought (note, on Sunday order off the dinner menu only). Both orders were very tasty (have to share a few bites back & forth) and we had a healthy leftover to take with us. Look forward to returning or trying an order to go. During our lunch a number of couples came in, several with young children. Nice to see parents broadening their children's food choices.

I dont eat much Thai food, I never have Thai food, but the one I had here was very good. Very tasty and big quantities. For the price this could not have been better.

My nail lady recommended I go here for the reasonable happy hour. They actually have happy hour on the weekends, which is a nice bonus. My sister and I ordered 3 apps and martinis from the happy hour menu. The martinis were a delicious and very generous pour for only 6 bucks. The food was lovely. The service was fast and very attentive. The restaurant is romantic, so would be great for a date. I will definitely return for more extensive dining, if not just for the happy hour.

Quality of food was ok. However, went there at 6pm on a Friday and have never felt as pushed and rushed for a table ever in my travels, Despite being a stone's throw away from multiple coffee shops and the Husky Deli, couldn't get ice cream or coffee for dessert. They tried hard, but they didn't turn the table in 45 like they planned. If you want quick fill up on Thai, perhaps. Otherwise go elsewhere.

Bang Bar Thai Restaurant and Lounge is a great place for Thai food, based on one visit there in late August. Three of us were looking for a relaxing dinner together, and we started by sharing the fresh rice noodle rolls, which were accompanied by tamarind sauce, and a large bowl of Tom Yum with tofu. The soup and the rolls were good portions, plenty for three, and an excellent start to dinner. For main courses, one of my friends had Chicken Lime Light, grilled chicken breast with a lime sauce over spinach, and another had the Crispy Garlic Chicken, a stir-fried dish with bell pepper and topped with fresh basil leaves. Both looked great when served, and the taste verdict from the diners was excellent. I ordered the Red Curry with Tofu, and it was delivered at my requested “spiciness” level (medium) and was very good. The brown rice accompaniment for the three of us seemed special – had a delicate and very pleasant “cocoanut” flavor, and when we asked if there was anything special about the preparation, we were told that the brown rice is steamed normally. In any event, the rice added an extra dimension to the dinner for all three dishes. Portions were very generous, so we didn’t have room for desert. Wine by the glass was reasonably priced, and Bang Bar had several good beer choices as well. The service was excellent – very attentive. The food was delivered from the kitchen pretty quickly, so I would suggest advising the server if you want the courses slowed down a bit if you’re not in a hurry. All in all, this was a very good dinner with a large and interesting menu, very nice - and quiet- dining room with reasonable prices. A good place for friends to enjoy dinner together.

Our friend lives in the neighborhood and took us here for lunch. The decor is interesting, and the seating in a booth comfortable. The service was good as was the food. The wonton soup had a bit too much fish taste to my liking, but the wontons were delicious. The salads were fresh and the chicken broccoli entree very good. We would definitely come back to try more items on the menu.

Bang Bar has been 5 stars since last review. All staff are awesome!! Managers there do an awesome job!!! My favorite Thai restaurant in Seattle...well since last review

We went to Bang Bar Thai several times. First for their happy hour. We had ginger martinis that were made with fresh ginger. Had to go back to have them again. They were only $5.00. Food at happy hour was excellent . The first time I had coconut shrimp and fresh spring rolls with shrimp. Each $5.00. The next time I had Thai bbq chicken with stickey rice. The bbq sauce was outstanding. The next time we took five of our friends that live in Seattle. That time I had Thai beef ribs. Again the best I have ever had. There are more items on the happy hour menu I want to go back and try. My friend had a curry dish that he said was the best curry ever. Nice thick rich curry sauce. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it and just had breakfast. One more thing. The service is good, fast and friendly.

I absolutely love the atmosphere and the food is delicious. Reasonable price for the happy hour and a large variety happy hour menu

If you like Thai food, don't miss this one. Great choices on the menu, delicious food and wonderful service. They make good cocktails too!

If its all about presentation , then Bang Bar has it! From lighting to each dish served on minimalist plates, this Thai restaurant is perfect for filling your craving for the flavor. I ordered spring rolls, money bags and Tom Yum noodle soup. The money bags are perfect little appetizers in a deep fried wrap with peas carrots a meat and curry sauce. The prices were below 12 dollars a plate making this place a reasonable and tasty venue for nearly any budget.

My wife and I went in to Bang Bar Thai for dinner one night. Having come back from Thailand a few months ago, we wanted to see if we could get some good Thai food. We found it.

May need to look at other reviews to see if they fixed a couple of problems that spoiled my appetite. I keep getting asked to go back because we miss the atmosphere, drinks and most food but I just haven't

Inexpensive, quality Thai food. I've never been to Thailand so I don't know what is should taste like, but their food is consistently very good and easy for take out. The price is right too.

Friendly staff and great variety. They are very considerate of those who do not want anything spicy. Just express your preference. Of course there is the usual hot curries, but the menu is varied. Nice Happy hour. The restaurant is becoming very popular in the evening.

I decided on some Thai food after work last Sunday - so, I figured on giving this restaurant a try. I liked the atmosphere, and saw that people were socially distanced - so, I figured that I was going to enjoy my meal (their Chicken Lime Light). Unfortunately, my food was being served to me by someone who wore their mask down over their nose. He also thought nothing of talking to me with his mask down. Because I have immuno-compromised persons in my life, I requested a replacement. While I try to avoid covid deniers, and people who don't take the disease seriously on the streets, I think that restaurant staff should be taking covid (and its safety measures) seriously, when serving food and drink to their customers - who should be able to dine in a safe environment. Considering that there is a statewide requirement for indoor establishments (like restaurants) to follow safety guidelines, I explained to the bartender that while I _didn't_ want to get anyone in trouble - I imagine that I would be within my rights to report them. I then noticed that my drink had a weird consistency (shown below). When I brought it up to the bartender, I was told that she thought that it was alright, and that I should just continue drinking it *gag* - at no point was a replacement offered. Once I realized that this was going to be my experience for the remainder of my time there, I paid up, and left my food uneaten: given the lackadaisical service, I wouldn't put it past them to serve me the same food, and state that it was "remade." Before I left, I thought to take pictures of my ordered items (as I didn't think that people would believe my experience with this place). When the bartender realized what I was doing, she rushed to my table, and attempted to take the items out of my hands - while I was still taking pictures. This forced me to tell her to release the me, and the items, as I purchased them, and wasn't finished. I tried to speak to a manager, to discuss my experience. However, during my initial visit - or the subsequent time afterwards, I was told that the manager wasn't available - they didn't know when they would be available, and was offered to leave my number. Unsurprisingly, at no time did I receive a call from said manager. So, I'm posting about my experience now. I will also be posting about this experience on as many other sites as I can think of. Overall, my experience there was horrible; if I could give this place zero stars, I would. I recommend that people avoid this place.

We ordered several dishes with prawns and the prawns tasted like mold. I called the restaurant and they were not able to give me a refund because it was a takeout order with Uber eats. Stay away from the seafood!!

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. This restaurant has good ambiance and atmosphere and the waitstaff was very attentive. I will return.

Great location, good menu for food and drinks. Quick service. Delicious food with ample portion sizes. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I like this place a lot. Great ambiance, well decorated, and the 3 times I have been here, I have always had quick and attentive service (even more so on slow nights). I haven't tried anything on the menu except the Red Curry with Tofu, which I am mildly obsessed with. They also make a great martini (and have a good craft martini menu), even accommodating my request for a lychee martini, which is a favorite of mine that I can't always find in Seattle since I became obsessed with them in Bali (insert hair flip here?). I feel like I should branch out and try the many other delicious looking dishes on the menu (which mostly range from $10-14) ... but I always end up craving that Red Curry. Oh - and $6 martini happy hour - what more could a girl ask for in good ol' West Seattle?

Excellent happy hour food & drink. Very friendly staff and prompt service! The happy hour food is all good as well as the several items I have tried off the dinner menu! Highly recommend!

Great Happy Hour drinks & appetizers for a reasonable price! Looooooong list of interesting martini choices. I had the classic dirty with the blue cheese stuffed olives and then the delicious flavors of the Lemongrass Martini---POW! The fresh spring rolls were perfect! Next time, dinner!

Dropped into the Junction in West Seattle, looking to try a new restaurant. This place caught our eye. Stepping inside the decor does a great job of transporting you to a mood that fits it's menu - warm and engaging. Nice mix of families, small groups and couples. We started in the bar as we waited for a table and tried a signature cocktail (Bolan). We found it flavorful but a bit weak. The menu offers a vast number of selections that all sound great and flavorful. The house specialties get more creative and venture into experimental fusion with other cuisines. We enjoyed the Moneybag appetizers, Hung Lee (pork shoulders on bed of sweet potato topped with crispy ginger and peanut) and Kow Soi Chiang Mai (beef over noodles in curry topped with crispy egg noodles). The pork was a bit dried out and although ordered at 3* it was not that spicy. The Chiang Mai was great! In all very interesting but not enough to rave about. We will be back to try some of the more traditional fare. Two people (2) drinks each, one appetizer, two entrees and a side of rice $92 + tip.

Bang bar continuously offers a large variety of exciting, and authentic Thai dishes that range in heat from mild to very spicy. Service is friendly and the ambiance is relaxed and exotic, from food to music to décor.I love this place.

Great atmosphere and delicious food. The lighting was a bit dim, which made it a bit challenging to read the menu. Generous portions and nice variety on the menu.

Had a wonderful lunch at Bang Bar Thai Restaurant. Dishes comes with options of meat, vegetables, or tofu as well as the option of spice level. Highly recommend the pineapple fried rice with fried tofu, and the pad Thai w tofu. Service was excellent. Parking on the street, or park in the paid lot behind Northwest Art & Frame. Just be sure to park in the correct lanes as one side is expensive and the other is reasonable at $2 for 2 hours (as of this writing).

I’ve eaten at bang bar several times over the last year and enjoyed those experiences. However made an attempt to take family in for a late dinner and was told that it was “last call” for FOOD 25 minutes prior to official close. Frankly felt like we were told to either get it to go or leave. Terrible service call on the male host that told us this and not something I’ve experienced before. I’ll default to other great Thai restaurants in future.

Had a fun dinner with friends - I had green curry with chicken (everything was delicious except the huge chunks of eggplant which I skipped eating), the brown and white rice were steamed perfectly. My friends had the asparagus prawns and the crab rangoon and fresh roll appetizers - the portions were generous. Wine list wasn't huge but nice choices.

I visited Bang Bar with my sister-in-law, her husband, and my mother-in-law on a recent trip to Seattle. The parking is difficult to find and there wasn't much space to stand while waiting for a table. We had fresh and fried spring rolls which were tasty especially the amount of basil in the fresh rolls. I was disappointed by the Tom Kar soup. Very few mushrooms or anything else except chicken in the soup. We had a green curry chicken, eggplant with tofu, and a tofu noodle dish. Portions were not too big and it had a overall good taste and appearance. For dessert which the portions were huge we had coconut ice cream, mango sticky rice, and pumpkin creme brulee. Ice cream and sticky rice were delicious. I would suggest to pass on the creme brulee. Service was interesting - we had times when bunches of staff showed up and other times we were waiting for water refills.

This place is great! Took some of my family there for mother's day. Service was good, staff was friendly, atmosphere was chill and the food was awesome!! I enjoyed it so much i returned 4 days later with 4 different ppl. My favorites were the crispy garlic chicken and the prawns and asparagus. Oh, and their mango mojitos....yummy!

Be advised that there is no real sign outside for the Bang Bar so you might walk right by it like we did! It is right next to the (new) ice cream place...your welcome. I enjoyed everything about this place. The staff was nice and friendly, the Old Fashioned cocktail was refreshing, the appetizer platter was delicious, and the chicken with wide rice noodles was scrumptious. And amazingly the prices were reasonable.

I tried this place for the first time a few ago, since then I have been there a couple of times. The food is amazing, the drinks are very good too. The waiters are friendly and attentive. Great atmosphere!!

Multiple happy hour appetizer options. Really enjoyed the fresh spring rolls, the money bags and the chicken satay. The chicken satay was terrific - ordered a second round. Tried the Mai Tai - a little sweet for my tastes, but acceptable. Very friendly wait staff and great location in the West Seattle Junction.

Went here for a holiday dinner with friends. The food was good, some of it was a bit pricey, but the ambience was nice. We did family style so that we could try several different things. There were 6 of us and we tried: the Bang Bar Sampler (it was OK), Tom Yum (we wouldn't order this again), Larb (this was decent), Pad Kee Mao (this was good), Heavenly Corriander (I would recommend this), and the soft shelled crab (very good). If you are in the area, check this place out.

I love Bang Bar happy hour! Great prices and great choices. A couple workers are friendly, other staff are just nice. Saw owner once. She seems friendly. Food is good. Sometimes small portions. Once in a while bigger. Visit and make your own decision. Worth trying. This thai place is one of my favorites. Bang Bar, I also enjoy for dining.

The ladies and I were enjoying a "Girls Night Out" and we had our mouths set on Thai food. We were headed back south from Downtown Seattle and asked Google for the BEST Thai Restaurants near Seattle and Bang Bar popped right up. Upon our arrival, although they were busy, we were immediately greeted and seated. To sum our visit up, I'll keep it simple. Pros: Clean, cozy, amazingly sweet and friendly staff, nice intimate setting, best Thai Mai Thai I've ever had, delicious food, quick service. Cons: We had a party of four and there was not alot of space or wiggle room. Small cluttered tables with too many chargers and saucers made for no space on our table when the soup and appetizers arrived. I did not like the fact that the waiter kept setting items on the corner of our table as they arrived. The pork in our Tom Yum Nam Kon was very đry, but still tasty.

Nice soup and Emily was cared a lot and was very patient with all our requests. Tea was great. Sour and spicy soup was good too
Good Thai
Was in town visiting a friends, he suggested this. We got to-go orders. Good, tasty food without being overly spicy--just a nice flavor with some zing.
