Thai Food in Atlanta

By Jose A |

Fantastic atmosphere and decoration, surpassed only by the great food and wonderful service. My son described the 3 Sauce Flounder as "exploding in his mouth" once combined with the pineapple. Our taste buds were equally entertained by classic Thai plates like the Chicken Pad Thai and Spring Rolls, but it was the amazing spices that I liked the most. Thanks Nicolas and Tony for the Bday wishes and making us feel right at home!

Craving for Thai food

By AnneMarie514 |

The restaurant is discreet, I found it from trip advisors as I really wanted to eat Thai food. The staff was nice, I ate at the bar. The decor and ambiance are relaxing. The menu offers a variety of Thai dishes. I had the Tom yum and the noodles with shrimps and chicken sauté. Flavours were there, not like in Thailand but satisfying. I had a Thai beer with my meal, it costed $45 for myself with service. The staff is proud of their menu and restaurant. I would recommend if you look for a Asian meal in that area.

Fantastic!

Great food, excellent service! We made reservations for 6:30 on Friday, but it didn’t get busy until around 7:15. Our waiter was very attentive and super sweet. Had a nice time and highly recommend!

Good Food - Cool Place - Good Service - Reasonable Price

By David S |

We had a delicious lunch here one of the days we spent in Atlanta. The food, service and price were all good. The place is simple and the design of the interior is done using simple materials very effectively. Would we go back? Would we recommend it? Yes - but only if your in the area. Atlanta is a great city that is improving all the time. There are excellent restaurants everywhere. The only reason I am not giving the Bangkok Station five stars is it is in Buckhead and not the central core where most of the attractions are located. Not a bad drive - but not in the center of all the hubbub.

This is one of the best restaurants in Atlanta!

By Aikenfans |

The food here is excellent. As an appetizer, we enjoy the calamari, with its dipping sauces - the fruit ones are really good. We love the green curry with chicken, which comes with a bowl of white rice. It has pep, and freshness, and is not fiery. Superb! And it costs about $15. The red curry, and the massaman curries are also delicious. The tasting menu we had a couple years ago for Valentine's Day, was magnificent, and had a beautiful presentation. For $50, it was really worth it. Very memorable! This restaurant is very attractive and spacious inside, is not noisy, and there is a lot of room between the tables. It is nice casual. The staff are wonderful. They are very friendly, helpful, and eager to please - and the service is excellent. They give good recommendations. Diners are not rushed, and one never feels pressured to buy alcohol. At least so far, there is free parking, if one goes straight ahead, at the end of the entrance driveway, down into the parking garage. How nice not to have valets. (It is pathetic that a diner on Piedmont requires valet parking.) The entrance is on the right side of Pharr Road, very soon after one has turned off of Piedmont. This restaurant is highly recommendable. Enjoy!

Great service, good food

By D'Lovely |

This is a lovely spot - very inviting, open and plenty of natural light. That is what got me in the door. I'm picky when it comes to Thai food due to my immersion into the food and culture when I lived there years ago. The service was great, very attentive and timely. At one point in time, I thought I had three servers, there seemed to be so many people taking care of me. I had the massaman curry with chicken. It was good, but not earth shattering. I really didn't like the rather large pieces of potato that I could barely fit in my mouth. Also, I had no knife at my table to cut them (just the traditional fork and spoon). There was just a small bit of avocado. I had the calamari as an appetizer, and I didn't leave a crumb. It was cooked perfectly and the fresh green curry sauce with it was superb. For dessert, I ordered the traditional mango with sticky rice. As many times as I've had Thai in Atlanta, I've not seen any attempt to create the fancy blue color created by adding dried butterfly pea, not since I left Thailand! Bangkok Station gets kudos for that. That was a nice surprise and a great touch. I left nothing on the dessert plate. The food had some high points, but it had its lows. Overall, the service won me over to a 4 out of 5 marks. Will I go back? Yes, specifically to try some other dishes in hopes that they hit on all cylinders next time.

Good food, great service

By esq10 |

I love Thai food and have been waiting to try Bangkok Station. I had a Lychee martini, Thoong Thong appetizer and the BBQ chicken. My friend had a Lychee martini, shrimp dumpling appetizer and the whole red snapper. The shrimp dumplings came out cold and our waiter immediately replaced them and comped our bill. The general manager also came to our table to apologize for the cold appetizer. I loved the Thoong Thong appetizer and would definitely order them again. I tried the red snapper and it was crispy and delicious! Although I enjoyed my chicken I would order the red snapper or try another dish at my next visit. Overall, the food was flavorful and good but the great customer service definitely warrants a return visit.

Who charges for ice?

By Pete F |

Great patio. Great menu. Great food. But they charge $2 for ice if you order a cocktail. I've never heard of that. $2 for ice? WTF!?!? Are we in Europe?

Tasty and flavorful dining

By dejanuts |

Really enjoyed our meals here, but do watch the spice levels if you're sensitive. The chef didn't pull any punches. Also keep an eye out for the miniatures in the windows as you enter the restaurant, they're fascinating.

Contemporary Thai Restaurant

By michael p |

They have a good selection on their menu and rightfully boast about serving curried and grilled food in a romantic, railway-inspired setting. The wait staff were helpful and the food had that little extra in taste that makes it special.

Decent food in lovely decor

By orrdin |

The best thing about this place is the lovely decor. The menu has all the basic staples of Thai cuisine but nothing special and the food was okay but not great. Service was friendly but slow. Prices are reasonable.

Good food and great place

Food was really good. If you order right it can be inexpensive. Plates are big but delicious. I tried the pad thai and it was really good.

Great Thai lunch in Buckhead

By PrinceKP |

In Atlanta for our food fix (masked as business), we made our way back to Bangkok Station for the first time since visiting in their first 2 weeks of business. The Tom Kha was excellent and a generous portion. Our family shared the Pad Thai (vegetarian child’s choice) and basil chicken which were both fabulous!!! Great vibe with the open dining room, reclaimed wood decor and the outdoor dining/bocce area. Highly recommended!!

Good Thai but expensive

By Rick G |

We really liked Bangkok Station. Very nice decor, with a fairly short menu. As the reviews said, it was pretty pricey. We each had a drink, then an appetizer and an entree. Total bill was $95 after tip - but we are light eaters, and had two lunches from the leftovers. The service was on the slow side. Our servers seem to be a bit TOO aware that they make more money by selling wine and cocktails.

Great food, unique decor needs some waiting time

By paragkarania |

This is a well designed restaurant, the décor is unique. Food and drinks variety is great. The servers are very knowledgeable. Good food and at a reasonable price

A new Thai fave!!!

By chocomel911 |

Spacious dining room and outdoor patio. Fresh, delicious food. Dinner time midweek was steady but not crowded. Service very good. Not an expansive menu but enough options to satisfy. Everything was prepared fresh. I will definitely return again and again.

Good Thai food with an urban vibe!

By Mmitchel |

I recently dined here with a group of friend and we had a great meal and enjoyed the urban feel. The restaurant is in the heart of Buckhead in the lobby level of an office building and it not real easy to find. They have the usual Thai favorites along with a few gourmet additions. The food was very fresh and well prepared. The service was very good and friendly. They have done a nice job with the décor trying give it the feel of a restaurant in Thailand with lots of imported wood.

Beautiful & Delicious!

By Tiffany T |

Stopped here after a ladies day at the spa! First time, not disappointed! Beautiful decor. We sat outside. Food is beautifully presented and tastes equally as good. Will return...

Great for lunch

By Nitka2010 |

Love the place. Great Thai food, modern interior, nice service. I work in the area and it's my favorite place for lunch.

tasty Thai food hidden from easy view

By Curtis S |

In Atlanta for a conference, we were looking for something a little different for dinner. I asked my co-workers if they enjoyed Thai food and they said they would give it a try. Checking on TripAdvisor Bangkok Station was the best Thai food nearby. So we grabbed an Uber and headed that way. It is a little difficult to find, having to wander through a little parking lot, and it's actually on the ground floor of a commercial building. I had grabbed a reservation on Open Table but it was not necessary. The place was not packed but there were plenty of folks enjoying dinner. We were quickly seated and sorted out the drinks, Singha being the beer of choice. We started with an appetizer sampler called the Pearl of Bangkok which contained satay, Thai spring rolls, and these interesting deep fried won ton baskets (Thoong Thong?). I was in the mood for Curry and there were several options on the menu. I went with a simple massaman Curry with pork. All of the food was well prepared and nicely presented and delicious. We had more than enough food for the three of us and if you add in a couple of beers to wash it all down it was a very good meal. It is off the beaten path a little bit but not too difficult to find, and definitely worth the effort to go. Recommended

Lovely food and service!

By mdusry |

All-round excellence from a lovely staff! Every dish both beautiful and delicious, and the atmosphere is very relaxing.

Where’s the cucumber?

By Gatorgirl70 |

Chicken satay appetizer was very poor value. The chicken satay was described as coming with a cucumber salad. It was actually less than a tablespoon of cucumber and red onion. There were three strips of satay and a very good sauce but definitely not worth $14.

Surprisingly Delicious

By LuckySpivey |

We weren't sure what to expect. It's location is in the bottom of an office building. At 7 it wasn't crowded. Decided to stay and give it a try and were glad we did! We had the lamb and shrimp and spring roll appetizers. All were excellent. Fresh and well prepared. Service was good. You should try for yourself.

Simple & Delicious Thai cuisine

By ucfhoney |

My husband and I were craving Thai food during our overnight stay in Atlanta. Found Bangkok Station via TA as it was within a short walk of our hotel in Buckhead. This place was a gem! From the service, atmosphere, decor, food and drinks, we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. We shared the "pearl of Bangkok" appetizer and the green curry chicken which were both dynamically flavorful. We would undoubtedly return and recommend to all who can appreciate some delicious Thai cuisine.

Good experience, worth the visit

By Chris C |

Good experience and atmosphere. The cocktails, calamari and curries were delicious. Ribeye was okay but slightly bland. Recommend going with a Currie dish. We had the salmon green curry and the chicken massaman and both were excellent. The 10oz ribeye was not as good and the stick rice was 7/10.

Haphazard

By JLCAtlanta |

Bottom line: the food can be really good, but the place is poorly managed. For example, the bartender took my wife's order, but not mine. When I flagged her down to put in my drink order, she proceeded to get into a long conversation with someone else at the bar, and take his entire takeout food order. When I finally got my drink, it was too sweet, so I asked the bartender to put "a quarter of a shot of rye" into it to make it less sweet. She charged me $10 for that, making it $22 for my drink alone. When I complained that there was a misunderstanding, she did nothing about it!!! Once at the table, the music was so loud we had to shout, and all thought that the service was poor. They tried to take plates away that had food remaining, and brought all four dinners and left all of us without utensils. Jeez!

New Thai restaurant but loads of experienced chefs and staff!

By Retiresoon54 |

Put this one on your list if you enjoy outstanding Thai food, great service, wonderful space, and free parking!! It just opened July 15th, but the owner brought all the knowledge and key staff with him!! Across from Pharr post office.

Fresh food great service

By FoodieSuzy |

My husband took me here for a date night in December. The ambiance was very romantic and modern. The food was very fresh and full of great flavor. We will definitely be back.

Highly Recommend!!

By Raymond M |

We had a delicious meal here, including the best Pad Thai I've ever had, and Masaman Curry, which was ridiculously good, ending with yummy mango sticky rice. The decor and atmosphere just add to the experience. Great place, will definitely be back!

Upscale Thai Restaurant in Buckhead

By Jim W. |

After checking out an art exhibit, we wanted to get a somewhat early dinner. Bangkok Station seemed well reviewed, though new. It is located on the ground floor of a mid-rise office-type building on Pharr Road. The only initial difficulty was determining where to park, but they have a banner out front that, if you miss the small driveway as we did, is at least helpful after the fact. We turned around (which would have been difficult in heavier traffic) and found the parking lot behind the building. The restaurant is visible from the lot, but you have to go in the main building entrance to get to the restaurant entrance. They seemed to still be wrapping up some building remodeling when we were there. Once we were seated, we enjoyed the experience. The owner stopped by to chat briefly, noting that some of the decor (including a coconut chandelier) was imported from Thailand. The food itself was quite good. They have plenty of indoor seating, but their outdoor patio might also be nice once summer temperatures begin to fall. I suspect we'll be back, if we're in that area again soon.

Dinner

By aivaca |

One of my favorite Thai restaurants in Atlanta. Food is delicious and they have a good service. The atmosphere is great and the restaurant has a nice decoration. If you wait to be seated you can star with a drink. They have a huge bar and cocktails are delicious. If you are in Atlanta and enjoy Thai food this is the place. Plates are big enough and appetizers are amazing.

This place is unbelievable - truly authentic Thai

By DinoTheDiver |

When you walk into Bangkok Station and see how nice it is inside (think fancy restaurant decor, not hole-in-the-wall) you wonder how good the food will be. Well, outside of Thailand, this is some of the best food I've ever eaten. The dishes are authentic, well seasoned, good portions and the waitstaff was outstanding. One thing that stood out to us was the ingredient quality. We ordered the sea bass and got a huge chunk of top-quality Chilean sea bass, with flavor to boot. Can't recommend this place highly enough. Have eaten there many time for lunch and dinner and always leave marveling at the joint. Good for date night, business lunches and family dinners. The bocce court out on the patio is a nice bonus...

Excellent lunch experience!

By moksha51 |

This lunch was for a celebration. Parking was easy. Service was excellent. Decor is wonderful. If you are looking for authentic Asian food experience as a package, this could be it.

Luscious lunch

By Katharine R |

We absolutely loved this restaurant! From the atmosphere to the service to the food it was fantastic. We enjoyed the lunch special so much that we ordered dinner to go!!! Plus they have complimentary valet parking. It’s a definitely must try if you are in Buckhead.

Tasty - Nice lunch

Nice restaurant with decent social distancing between tables - Food is good with a large selection of dishes. Not too spicy but tasty

Very friendly service. High quality, fresh ingredients. The outdoor area is very nice and the interior is well-designed.

the food looked to good to eat

By Glenn B |

My wife and I were down in Atlanta visiting family and were taken to this fine dining establishment. We were warmly greeted and quikly seated. We had a few appitizers to share between us and they were great. I tried the coconut soup and the beef phad thi..couldn't have asked for better. The phad looked like a piece of artwork and tasted better. Way to filled up to try dessert. Next time

Fantastic Thai Food (New in Buckhead)

By adongeorge |

We LOVE Thai food. We go to Thailand 3 times a year. My spouse is Thai. Bangkok Station is wonderful. Authentic Thai food - presented in an very artful manner. Last night we shared two appetizers (the calamari and a chef's special of 4 other appetizers) --- all perfectly presented and each excited the taste buds. As mains, I had the Lamb and Prawn Namtok (two lamb chops and 3 giant prawns) -- out of this world enjoyable. The lamb was tender, juicy, and flavorful, and the prawns were tender and very tasty. I normally eat fast, but I enjoyed this dish so much, that I slowed down to savor each bite. My spouse had the Whole Red Snapper with 3 sauces and said it was among the best he has ever eaten. For dessert I had the Thai Iced Tea Creme Brulee - heavenly -- smooth creamy and full of flavor. My spouse had the coconut cake -- which was pretty much the same as coconut cake elsewhere -- nothing special. We are definitely going to return to Bangkok Station, but our dilemma is that we both loved our appetizers, mains, and creme brulee so much, that we will want to order these again -- which means not exploring the rest of the exciting menu. We'll have to return often. The only non perfect aspects of this restaurant are that the coconut cake is average, and the wait staff is average. All in all, this is a Five Star place.

Pleasant surprise

By Lori F |

Visited during a recent trip to Buckhead. It's in a weird location but very close to where we were staying. The service was prompt and efficient, we were seated right away and our drink orders taken. My husband ordered salmon panang (delicious, large piece of fish). I had the pad Thai with tofu which was good, but a little heavy on the fish paste so was unexpectedly fishy tasting. I'd go back if I was in the area, I'd just order a curry instead.

Good Food Presentation & Service

By Visions Of a Traveler |

Pros: 1. Free parking in back of building (disregard the “90 minute” parking signs on the weekend) and additional parking in adjacent deck. The parking is designed for one-way in on one side of the building, one-way out on the other side. The actual restaurant is located on the first level of a mixed-use building. 2. Greeting: We were acknowledged and seated promptly although only 4 of our party of 7 were present. 3. Service: prompt, courteous and attentive waitstaff 4. Food: extensive drink menu. Nice-sized starters (especially the Thoong Thong, Coconut Soup, and Chicken Satay). And for the main courses, our party especially liked the “Today’s Special” which happened to be grilled shrimp & scallops w/ sautéed vegetables and basil fried rice. Recommended dessert: Ginger Creme Brûlée and some type of “Sticky Rice” that was blue-colored w/ pieces of fruit surrounding it. 5. Outdoor seating with a small area for children to roll small balls. Cons: Automatic 20% gratuity on parties of just 5 people (or more). Not a huge “con” at all but most Atlanta eateries only institute an automatic gratuity when there are 8 or more people.

Excellent meal

By Gerda F |

We had a wonderful evening at Bangkok Station. All three of us thought it was the best Thai food we'd had in a long time. The restaurant is very attractive, the staff pleasant, and the food delicious.

Yummy send off meal!

By Dee M |

First visit and I hope it won't be the last! Met up with others to send off my cousin who was heading to Dubai on an international teaching assignment. Loved the casual vibe in the open area though we were in a semi-private room. I had a really hard time deciding what to eat as there seemed to be so many great options. I settled on the thai-hot style snapper dish served with 4 sauces, after wavering between that and the land and surf. My food was good and portion sizable enough to require a take away pack for leftovers. Perfect spot to hang with friends and family but maybe not for those seeking a cosy experience.

Great Place, Friendly and Delicious

By Jim D |

Came to Buckhead for Business and found this great place on TripAdvisor. Waitress was very friendly and restaurant is very stylish. Good wine and beer selection and food is amazing. I had crying tiger (wow good) for my appetizer and Panang Red Curry with Chicken (very good w/ fresh veggies and tender meat - soooo good). YUM!

Probably the best food at the best value

LOVE the decor, the food, the menu. Excellent choice. Servers are attentive yet unintrusive. 5 stars!!!!

Surprisedly good!!

Food was excellent, service was good and the decor is very pleasant. We definitely will go back. We order noodles and lamb. Both were exceptionally good. We recommended if you are a Thai food lover. Who isn't any way.;)

Great Thai at a great price

By mtsyman |

I can't believe I was just introduced to this restaurant. It's located on Pharr road (in Buckhead) in the bottom of a building in a very cool space with indoor and outdoor seating available. The food is authentic Thai with a large menu as well as a full bar. Upon entering you can tell that the restaurant has lots of regulars which is a great sign.

I missed good Thai food

By Adriene A |

I really liked this place. I had not had a good green curry nor green papaya salad in a while. All of our dishes were very good. I liked the decor in that it is simple, everything has a nice clean look. I especially liked the little figures of Thai people and the market scene as well as the picture of the elephants on the wall. We were served by a few people (one of whom was trying to give our neighbor's food to us by accident, so keep your eyes open). Our waitress was good about refilling our water. It is a little pricey, but not bad. We got our food relatively quickly. This place would be good for a date, but someone was also having some kind of celebration gathering there as well. Parking is free on the weekend in the valet area (the tiny parking entrance just past the restaurant).

Beautiful atmosphere, Delicious food

By Belinda M |

Newly opened Bangkok Station brings its cool, trendy atmosphere and delicious Thai food to the Buckhead area. The restaurant is located in the 550 Building, which is currently under construction so it can be a little tricky to find. There's a parking lot in the back of the building. The interior is beautiful! And surprisingly really spacious. You can tell they really put time and effort into the interior decor and set up. Aside from the inside looking beautiful, they also have a large Thai inspired garden patio. Perfect for the summer weather. I've been here twice so far, once for lunch and once for dinner. They have a lunch special from 11-2:30pm with items starting at $8.95. I tired the Thai Basil Chicken. It's prepared with Thai style sir fry minced chicken with basil sauce, bell peppers, Thai chili, and basil leaf. Because of my allergies, I subbed out the bell peppers for broccoli. I've never had a Basil Chicken dish with minced chicken before but it was really good. Lots of flavors and a generous lunch portion. For my dinner experience, we started with a soup and appetizer. The Thai Shrimp Lemongrass soup was extremely flavorful. It comes with shrimp, lemongrass, galangal, mushroom, cilantro, fish sauce, lime juice, kaffir lime leaf, and Thai Chili. It comes in a large soup bowl and it's big enough to share with two people. I really recommend this soup. It's not going to be packed with physical ingredients to eat but the soup is uniquely blended with all of the ingredients mentioned. Burst of flavors in your mouth. The Southern Thai Calamari was up next. I think they did a great job frying the calamari perfectly. It's garnished with cilantro and bell pepper strips at the top and served with two side sauces: Thai sweet pineapple chili sauce and Thai seafood sauce. I generally don't like dipping my calamari in any sauces but my bf said the sauces were good. My only complaint about this dish is that it was pretty deceiving the way it was presented. It looked like it came in a big bucket but what you see is what you get. The bottom had a dry garnish that elevated the dish on the top. Just a little surprised since all of the other portion sizes were bigger, but nevertheless, it was some pretty good calamari. For entrees, we ordered the Thai Boxing Noodles and Sukhumvit Road Grilled Lamb. They give you variety of options to add to your Thai Boxing Noodles: vegetable, tofu, chicken, beef, pork, shrimp, or seafood. We decided to try it with the chicken. The dish is a Lumpini Thai boxing stadium favorite dish of flat rice noodle wok cooked with stir fried sauce, bean sprout, lettuce, scallion, egg, and served with Thai real Sriracha sauce on the side. This dish was good but nothing out of the ordinary to me. It was a little sweeter. The Sriracha sauce helped the flavoring of the dish but not enough to my liking. I generally like savory, salty, spicy food so this dish wasn't my favorite, but my bf loved it. So if you're into more subtle, sweet flavors, I recommend this dish. Generous portion size. The Sukhumvit Road Grilled Lamb comes from a secret recipe from the five star hotel at tourist area in Thailand. The grilled lamb is cooked to your temperature of choosing with E-Sarn style dipping sauce and served with sauteed asparagus, tomatoes, and shiitake mushrooms. Wow... this dish came in a hugee plate. Presentation was amazing. However, we ordered this lamb medium and it came out med well to well done... That was slightly disappointing but it still tasted good. The asparagus and mushrooms paired really well with the lamb, and I looovvveed the side salad/sauce that came with it. I'm not all sure all the items that came with the side salad/sauce but I know it had onions, scallions, cilantro, and maybe some more herbs. I believe this was the E-Sarn dipping sauce that was mentioned in the menu. For dessert we ordered the Thai Tea Creme Brulee. Again, I'm not a huge fan of sweets but I really liked this dessert. It wasn't as sweet as some of the other creme brulee I've had in the past. It's garnished with strawberries and blueberries on the top. One of the owners, Paul, also brought out a slice of their Matcha Green Tea Cheese Cake with a scope of green tea ice cream on top. It was really good and not too sweet. Service was great! They were really friendly and sweet and did a good job making recommendations and accommodating my allergies. We also got a chance to talk to one of the owners, Paul. He was really friendly and really excited about his new restaurant. I'm excited about it too. I really love the environment and I can't wait to come back to try some of the other items on their menu.

New Year's dinner

By Galagirls |

In the dining district of Buckhead! Plenty of parking, we had made reservations!!! The entrance to the restaurant was flanked by beautiful handmade silk panels, go further in and you can view mini Thailand markets in a glass showcase. Ambience is very nice with wooden chairs and tables, if you get a seat by the wall, you get to sit on cushioned pillows. We ordered vegetarian food. Their spring rolls are very tasty. We ordered pineapple fried rice- not on the menu, but they bring it in on a pineapple bed.

Authentic Thai food with great service

By KJC93 |

Located within the 550 building this restaurant serves authentic Thai cuisine in a great atmosphere. The decor is casual and has the fragrance of lemongrass and ginger. We found the miniature Thai food displays in the lobby very interesting. We were greeted by the manager, Billy, who later explained that they depicted food vendors layout in the busy streets of Bangkok. We were promptly seated for our 6pm reservation. Noya was our server. She was very informative and guided us through the menu. The coconuts milk chicken soup was delicious. The Panang curry and pad Thai entrees were among the best we've had in a long time. The mango with rice flower dessert was exquisite. Free parking is available at rear of the building or in adjacent garage.

Decent Thai food

By Runnerny2244 |

Food was decent, the restaurant space is cool, but a little hard to see from the street. Service was just ok. Forgot to bring us our appetizer and never gave us credit for our Opentable reservation. Would try it again.

Great food and nice interior

Great spot, slightly hidden in an office building out of main site from the road but it’s nice interiors and food was great. Will be back on next business trip to try other menu items.

Probably the best Thai restaurant in Atlanta

By oppyga |

I visited when the restaurant first opened and was underwhelmed and forgot about it. By chance I was in the neighborhood for a meeting and we were looking for a place to grab dinner. This place has really worked out all the kinks. Food was delicious, service was fantastic and the drinks were very good. This is authentic Thai and the real deal!

Good Thai

By mcsdds |

Stopped in while vacationing in Atlanta. Ordered the Satay Beef and Ka Nom Jeeb as appetizers---Outstanding! Entrees were Pad Thai with Chicken., and Pad Thai with Tofu. Would have preferred both to be somewhat spicy, but we're not given a choice. We completed our experience with Coconut ice cream, which was perfect, Service was great and our meals were promptly served. Pretty restaurant with nice views of the outdoor garden.

Good Food parking a challenge

By Jame C |

This restaurant is in an office building and entered from the building lobby which is entered from a rear parking deck accessed with very sharp turns. No valet parking. The decor is fresh and clean with a unique display of Thai minature art pieces as you enter. Our server had hard to understand English but was very good in helping with the food selections. The wine list is unimaginative and overpriced for what it is. Avoid the Zinfandel by the glass. Now for the food. We began with a shared bowl of Thai chicken coconut soup which was served steaming with floating mushrooms atop a coconut milk broth with some bland chicken. I rate the dish good. Our main courses were the Pad See U with seafood consisting of mussels, one scallop and some shrimp atop the noodles and vegetables. My wife thought the broccoli particularly good. My dish was the Salmon Panang with a spicy red sauce and salmon cooked past medium with a glaze atop a sauce that included some green beans. The dish was tasty, healthy and I wish I had ordered the salmon medium rare. We will give it another try but will skip the wine and have more appetizers.

Excellent meal in outdoor setting

By StevenHScher |

We went with some friends & sat outside to be safe & socially distanced. My wife & I shared an order of the fried calamari, which was excellent. We also shared the whole red snapper ($34). It was a very large portion serves with mushrooms & greens. It was excellent. Our friends lived their dishes as well. The server Pe was excellent. The seating outside was great with lots of space between tables. This a a great eating experience.

Enjoyed the Larb Tod, Excellent Service

By SandBAtlanta |

The service at Bangkok Station might be the best thing about this restaurant! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and the service is on point! The chef, Paul, was out in the dining room talking to the guests and answering questions. He also sent out a complimentary appetizer which was delicious. We started with the larb tod, which I think was my favorite dish of the night. There were 5 fried pork meatballs that were light, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. So flavorful! For entrees we had the cashew chicken and the lucky fish (snapper). The presentations are beautiful and the food was enjoyable. I will say that I think you need to be a fan of Thai food to really enjoy this restaurant. Our meal with two glasses of wine was right at $100. It was good but a tad pricey.

Great food and ambiance.

We were a little confused on the entrance and parking because the building was under construction. Once you walk in the place is great. The decor and outdoor area really sets the ambiance. From the Chicken Satay to the Curry Chicken, everything was great. The staff was super friendly from the moment we walked in the door.

Impressive atmosphere and food!

By Sunny L |

I searched for a restaurant that could fit a large group, was reasonably priced, and had great food. I had never hear of Bangkok Station before, but based on reviews I went ahead and made a reservation on Open Table. I was so impressed and so was everyone else in our party! The food truly was superb and the wait staff were extremely personable and timely. The atmosphere was trendy and really helped set the tone for the evening. I recommend this place to everyone and look forward to going back! * Great Food * Great Atmosphere * Free Parking * Exceptional service * Reasonable pricing

Great Thai just off the main drag

By Viking_Cats |

A broad menu with a lot of good choices. They have a nice patio dining area for good weather days. Since they are off Piedmont the street noise isn't intruding on your conversations. The price was not as outlandish as many In the area. Definitely a "return to" destination when in the area.

A wonderful place for Valentine's Day dinner (or any other dinner or lunch)

By Aikenfans |

The Valentine's Day tasting menu dinner was superb. Five courses. Each course was beautifully presented. Great service. Very attentive and friendly servers and manager. One was not rushed. Very attractive atmosphere. This was really worth the $50 per person. This was so much better than many of the highly-touted restaurants in Atlanta. (No black cloud if one does not order alcohol. Not noisy. No snootiness. The food is not salty or greasy. Everything seems very fresh.) The restaurant is easily accessible from Piedmont or Peachtree.

Great meal but a little pricey

By StevenHScher |

We went there with friends. It was my first visit to Bangkok Station. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very nice. It was pretty noisy even though it was not filled more than 50%, so much so we changed tables. The menu has a great selection with pictures of a lot of the dishes. The food presentation is very pretty. My wife & I shared the spring roll appetizer. It was good but we've had better. Our friends had been there before & recommended the homemade peanut sauce, which we ordered & it was amazing, but at a price of $3. We shared the seafood pad Thai ($25), which was excellent with mussels, shrimp, scallops, & calamari. It was better than any pad Thai I have had before & a sizable portion. We also shared the Whole red snapper on three flavored sauce ($34). The presentation was very nice & the fish was excellent. Our friends had the panang shrimp ($17) & shrimp pad thai ($17). Our server, Kaiser was excellent, he was friendly, helpful, & efficient. Overall the meal was excellent. Kaiser told us they would be adding sushi to their menu shortly.

Good food, noisy restaurant

By JBT2 |

The food is always tasty here. I do kind of feel like it is a tad expensive for what you get though. Service is sometimes a little sparse, too many different servers all waiting on you so sometimes the ball gets dropped. There are other Thai places I prefer in town.

3 minute walk

By Loki2990 |

This is a local restaurant that is very convenient. It has a varied menu with a lot of rice, pasta and vegetable selections. I have tried many different menu items. I don't enjoy really hot/spicy but they will make "mellow". The beef jerky is always a favorite for a starter. They also have off menu specials. Their Pad Tai is always a winner. They have outside seating and it is really pleasant.

Great ambience

By Alfred A |

Good food, great ambience and very attentive staff. Spacious indoors which can accommodate larger parties. Full bar. We sat on the patio area over looking Pharr Rd.

Just OK

By Plic |

The venue is nice and the atmosphere relaxed. The food was OK, however nothing really special that I could mention.

Very good food

By Havasupai123 |

My wife and I like this place a lot. Glad I finally tried it out as I will be back. I ordered and liked very much the L-Kee Mao noodles with beef. My wife ordered one of the full menus that had multiple courses. She let me have one of the chicken wings and it was prepared very well. Overall I definitely liked it. Service was slow despite the place being empty, but we were not in a hurry.

Simply the BEST Thai food I've ever had!

By STX_Restaurant_Tour |

I was with a large group of friends for dinner here in October. I was not at all familiar with the restaurant and its menu but it exceeded my expectations at every level. I truly enjoy curries but have often found at other Thai restaurants that the sweetness of the coconut milk used in the sauce takes away from the true flavor of the curry. I'm happy to say that this was not the case with the dishes I had or sampled at Bangkok Station. I ordered the Lamb & Prawn Namtok which was absolutely delicious. I also shared the pork in Penang Curry which was excellent and I would order it the next time.

Beautiful Ambiance Delicious Food

By MichaIi |

We have been visiting this incredible restaurant fairly regularity in the past six months, and every time we are there the food everyone loves it! The food is consistently delicious; the service and presentation excellent. We are so glad our daughter discovered this restaurant and we have added it to our list of favorites places to dine in Atlanta.

60th Birthday Party

By W3110BDwalterb |

Thank you to everyone at Bangkok Station for helping to make my wife’s 60th birthday celebration an evening to remember. Your patience with our unruly crowd was truly remarkable!😁 The food was excellent, the service superb, and the atmosphere warm and friendly. Your willingness to give us the “party room” and bring our entertainment, the hula dancers, will not be soon forgotten! Especially on such short notice!! I am looking forward to dining with you again soon! The next time will be a smaller crowd, I promise! Can’t wait to have the curry beef all to myself, was awesome!! Thank you again!!

Very nice,good food

I have had lunch here a couple times and it always been good. Went for dinner and had a very nice meal for a fair price. The staff was good and prompt, and food was very good.

A good thai place in the Buckhead area

By RMaturu |

The food was good but we had better thai food than this in other places. The ambiance was wonderful and the service was very good. We did eat vegetarian so not sure about their other choices

A Solid, Tasty Dinner Last Night

By MsGlobeTrotter2011 |

I love Thai food and, having visited Thailand twice, I'm always looking for authentic Thai flavours wherever I go. Bangkok Station was a welcomed experience! I ordered the chicken satay, served with peanut sauce and the massman chicken curry with jasmine rice. I found the curry to be simply amazing -- a burst of aromatic, savoury flavours in my mouth! I would highly recommend it. It's nice that some of the staff are actually Thai so we could communicate in their language. The only thing I would change...or improve on...is the atmosphere and decor. It looks like it could be any kind of restaurant as they play classic/top 40 and the decor doesn't present itself as Thai. Other than that...the food is great and I'd go back for lunch or a casual dinner option!

Excellent Thai Cuisine in Buckhead, Atlanta

By PeetahG |

A late-night dinner at Bangkok Station Restaurant in Atlanta's Buckhead district proved to be a rare unexpected experience of delicious Thai cuisine! I was just passing through Atlanta, staying overnight at the hotel next door, and after checking in late on the evening of my arrival I went next door for dinner at Bangkok Station, simply because it was the nearest restaurant still open. I was surprised to find a full menu of really authentic Thai cuisine. With wonderful help from the friendly waiter, I ordered several small appetizers and a seafood dish (mainly grilled scallops with a spicy sauce). It was delicious -- probably the very best Thai food I've ever eaten! The dinner menu was very varied -- with a large assortment of mild and spicy starters, various meat or seafood or vegetarian entrees, soups and salads, Pad Thai noodle dishes, curries, and sweet desserts -- all authentic and all tempting. I returned for lunch the next day, and wish my stay in Atlanta had been longer so I could go back several more times to Bangkok Station to sample other items on the menu. The restaurant is large and well designed. The main chef, A.J., Apirat Jaroendee deserves a top award in my international-cusine experience. The wait staff is super friendly and offered wonderful well-informed advice in ordering from the large, varied menu. I understand that the restaurant was established in Atlanta in 2015 by Mr. and Mrs. Nithithanawut, who had moved from Bangkok to join other members of t heir family already living in Georgia. They have brought a first-rate Thai restaurant to the city -- and I hope Bangkok Station continues to flourish!

Happy Friday Work Lunch

By dumlvr7 |

place is one year old...free parking is at the back of building 550 on Pharr which has a tiny entrance. Bar tender was the one who approached us and took our order...very friendly fellow. Food was really good and arrived fast...we were the first guests though so not sure if its the same if they are busy. They have a lunch menu and my fave pad see-u is on it!!! I normally can only get it even during lunch at other Thai restos at dinner price. no complaints abt the food from all of us! I didnt have the Thai sweet tea, apparently it was good albeit a little too sweet. the basil chicken has ground chicken but you can ask for the regular cut chicken if preferred that. only reason i will give this 4 stars is that they forgot to add our other friends to go order which we had told them beforehand and as we were halfway through our meal. the place is very nice and has an outdoor patio too. pretty big for a thai restaurant...best decor ive seen so far and no food smell!

Good additon to the 550 Pharr Road building

By Sky G |

Had a class in the 550 Pharr Road building and I did not want to go far for lunch. Me and a few fellow classmates decided to have lunch at Bangkok Station. My first impression visually was soothing. The entrance gave you a nice introduction to the main area. The space was open and the tables were not clustered together. They have a large patio area but it was raining on this particular day; nonetheless, we enjoyed our meal in the simple decorative indoors dining area. I had the Pad Thai Chicken from the lunch menu. It was a decent price ($10) for lunch in this location. I have never had my Pad Thai served in an edible bowl, but I liked the twist. Another classmate ordered the Sweet & Sour Chicken and another order a tofu dish (can't remember the name). Everyone enjoyed their meal with no complaints. The customer service was adequate. They were only a few customers excluding my group during this time. I don't normally comment on restrooms but I must say, I would like to have my bathroom made similar to theirs (with only only stall). I love the woodwork of the entire restaurant but particularly in the restroom. It made me connect with my country upbringing. When turning into the driveway for 550 Pharr Road, make the first right and there is a parking lot and there is no charge for parking. There is also underground parking but I have not ventured into that area of parking. I plan to take my husband here for a meal in the near future and hopefully he can bask in the same glow.

Authentic Thai

We have been to Thailand many times and live in California, know our Thai food, this was a great dinner. The larb ( salad) , the curry, bass, and beef basil everything done perfectly! Service good as well!

The drinks were nice but the Bangkok mule was the best. Thanks for a wonderful memorable birthday celebration Bangkok Station.....

Vacation dinner

By Jstorey |

This place is amazing! We just found it by accident. The appetizers were fresh, creative and plentiful! My husband had the shrimp fried rice and I had a fresh mango salad with grilled shrimp. For dessert we had the sticky rice with fresh mango. You must try this restaurant!

Great atmosphere, great staff, very good food

By SoutheastJack |

My family of 4 ate dinner here early (5:30) and had a very pleasant experience. Our server and the manager were great. The atmosphere is bright and clean and the food was delicious and fresh. The portion sizes were completely reasonable. This is a great place to go on a date. We will return.

Great Atlanta/Buckhead Find

By 2DisneyDads |

We were staying at a hotel in Buckhead and came across this wonderful, different place. Our daughters especially loved the decor, particularly the extensive collection of Re-ment collectibles. We all loved the creative Thai food. The menu is not huge, but there were plenty of good choices. The wine list was full of interesting selections. Our server, Ruthie, was very nice. We ate on the outdoor patio, which was quite comfortable with big cushions on which to sit. This was a great find. We eat Thai food often, and this meal was among the best we've had. Ruthie said that the chef came from a highly rated restaurant in Bangkok. Don't be put off by the sterile office building in which the restaurant is located. We really had a delicious meal and lovely evening.

This Thai Has It All!

By Jeanette H |

What a fabulous evening! We were dining with two friends who are vegans, and we wanted to find someplace where we thought the vegan choices would be good, while us meat-eaters could still be satisfied. This was a GREAT choice! The atmosphere was nicely upscale without being pretentious, the service couldn't have been better, including several trips to the kitchen to confirm specific vegan requests, the plate presentation was outstanding, a gorgeous balance of color and texture on every plate, starting with the spring roll appetizer which was six pieces standing on end in a bed of dry rice noodles with garnish. Every plate was a beautiful picture! And it all tasted wonderful! My vegan friends enjoyed theirs, and the salmon panang my husband and I shared was not only an original dish, but one of the best panangs we had ever had. The prices were very reasonable, too! Couldn't have asked for a better evening! Just surprised the place wasn't packed, it certainly deserved to be!

Typically come here for business dinners. This time decided to just try some appetizers, drinks, and desert. Fantastic all around - Monica was our waitress and a joy. So friendly and outgoing...can’t wait to come back.

Excellent Thai food

The Thai Pearls starter was delicious as was the soup and pad Thai ... My husband had chicken that was perfectly cooked. The service was great too!!

Excellent customer service and great food

By autismbridge |

I held my bday dinner here and I am so happy with this choice. After searching for a restaurant , I stumbled on Bangkok station. I spoke to several employees before the dinner night and each were very pleasant and accommodating. The night of the dinner was the same, the waiter was personable , funny and accommodating. The restaurant’s atmosphere was welcoming and it was well located with easy and free parking. Not to mention the food was great! I would definitely recommend.

Excellent authentic Thai

By gypsyleeedwards |

My sister was in town and wanted Thai so I found this restaurant. The atmosphere is charming and the staff were amazing. Every dish that came out was gorgeous and flavorful. We ended up sitting and talking for 3 hours and never felt rushed to leave, our waitress kept filling up our drinks making us feel like we weren't a burden. Thank you for an amazing afternoon with my family....it was her first time out since battling cancer💕

Excellent and authentic Thai food

By RomanRemains |

We were at the nearby Quality Suites and did not want to drive so we ventured into this place. Wow - fantastic food, very good choice of wine and beers and superb service. Highly recommended

Not very good

By wdwatl |

Tried it for the first time and disappointing. The whole snapper special was almost inedible. Appetizer assortment was weak on all four plates. Service was attentive but just not very good, and Thai food can be very good.

good for lunch

By piercer_99 |

as I was staying next door on business, I tried the station for lunch one day. pretty decent thia food, a little pricy, but almost everything in Buckhead is that way. Enjoyed my meal.

Very small portions!

By ljrapp16 |

The food was good. The service was just ok. Our servicer was just not friendly at all. The portion size of the food was something they should be embarrassed about. For what they charge the appetizers were so small I was shocked. I thought the main course could be shared but not so. The only great thing about the place was the atmosphere. The place is beautiful. I would not recommend this place because for the price there are much better places.

Authentic Thai in Buckhead!

By debicoach |

This food is really good, and very authentic. Food you would find on Buford Hwy, but actually in Buckhead. And the prices are very reasonable. Lovely staff too!

Great fthai food, convenient location.

By douglasagarcia |

The food is amazing. Tasty, good presentation, the service was great. Really a nice place to meet with friends and enjoy Thai food, for Star we order calamari and the larb tod. The lamb and prawn Namtok great flavor and juicy. Also the Massaman lamb was good, and the sea scallops , but the best was the Thai tea creme Brulee.

Sunday lunch with friends

By Opa S |

Parking and the building are a little bit ackward. But the restaurant and food are pretty good. The tables are apart from each other's that allow some privacy. No community tables where you have to hear others conversation. Food is delicious. They have a special lunch menu. The lunch portions are smaller than dinner.

Average thai food

By nuyu2013 |

Pricey for portions provided. Taste was ok--nothing special. There are better options in Decatur where the food is much more flavorful and authentic. Service was strange in that there were only 3 other customers and the food took quite some time. They brought starters and main meal all together. One item was incorrect. No wifi made available either

Nice restaurant
