Really enjoyed our dinner here. Started with excellent craft cocktails, some fresh bread, a plate of prosciutto, and an arugula salad for the group. This could have been dinner! Then we shared two pizzas and ended with a slice of really incredible chocolate cake and a tiramisu. All in all, the food was superb. Friendly servers. A bit loud, but just people enjoying the lively atmosphere:)

I have lived on Beacon Hill for 12 years. It is incredible that for being so close to downtown, the neighborhood is still rather sleepy. When I moved here we had one coffee shop (Java Love - now called Baja Bistro), a Mexican Restaurant (La Cabaña) and a couple Filipino restaurants. (Thankfully Baja Bistro was born and started making a bit more adventurous Mexican food and now serve drinks!) With the LINK light-rail station arriving a couple years ago, some entrepreneurs have started to brave this residential neighborhood. In my opinion, the standout is Bar del Corso. I still have a very warm place in my heart for the Beacon Tavern, however Bar del Corso transformed that space into a destination - not just for Be-Hi residents. I assume this is the case because on nearly every night of the week there is a line and a wait to get a table starting practically when they open. Being a pizza restaurant, you would hope the pizza is good - it is, especially the ones you can add Water Buffalo Mozzarella to. What stands out about Corso is the creative and delicious side dishes. I have always gone light on the pizza and ordered plenty of sides. When I'm not hungry but just need some booze, you can sit at the bar and order some decent cocktails. Usually not much of a wait to do that, especially later in the evening. Beacon Hill is an amazing neighborhood and I appreciate that we are slowly getting some quality restaurants - at a good pace capable of maintaining the charm of the neighborhood. Until Corso gets a little more competition (Quetzal, Baja Bistro and Travelers are the other anchors in the hood), plan to arrive early and be okay with waiting a while for a table.

This place is fantastic. The standards on the menu are reliably delicious: Burrata with broccolini, risotto balls, any of the veggies. The pizza is just how I like it, crispy with very slightly blackened bits that are such a good match with the sauce and cheese. Interesting wine options and limoncello to end the night. The tables are nice, but if there's only two of you, sit at the bar where you can watch the kitchen do its thing. It does get super-busy, so plan accordingly. Getting there is easy too: Take the light rail from downtown to the Beacon Hill light rail station, and when you exit, cross over Beacon and turn left. It's a handful of blocks down--an easy walk. There are a few places to have a beer before or after along the way.

The only thing better than the food at BDC is the service. We love the Milano Spritzer to start, the small plates are wonderful and the pizza is perfection. The seasonal offering from the kitchen are always spot on. The staff is fantastic, the best in the city city. Cannot wait to go back!

Though this restaurant is a 15-mile drive into Seattle from our home, it has become our favorite restaurant. The menu changes, but not overwhelmingly. Portions are small, almost like tapas, so for three people on our last trip -- last week -- we had a seafood dish, meat dish, salad, pizza and, of course, dessert. My out-of-town visitors loved it.

Had a solo dinner at the bar. Cool place in Seattle's Beacon Hill, away from the tourists. Full, with a great vibe, late on a Friday. On the noisy side but not insane. Appealing menu, centered on a handful of wood-fired pizzas, supplemented by salads, appetizers, and some entrees. All Italian. The fungi pizza was delicious. Great crust, nice earthy flavor. Easy to like! By the glass wine selection was minimal, but cocktail options were decent. Service was acceptable -- not exceptional, but not bad. Would definitely return when craving a thin crust pizza!

Had an excellent meal here a few nights ago. The set of small plates we picked up were all tasty and unique. The smoked mozzarella pizza we had was one of the best tasting pies I've had (their pizza oven was custom built in Italy and shipped over). The staff was friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was comfortable but nice. Noise level was fairly high, but not over-the-top. The $24 bottle of Montepulciano d'Abruzzi was also a great wine for the meal. Definitely recommend for people looking for a nice place for a small group of 4 or so.

This place lives up to it's wonderful reputation. Three adults and 1 4 year old shared 2 pizzas (margharita, spicy sausage and sweet pepper), argula salad, fried risotto balls and one of the night's specials- butternut squash and farro. All of the food was delicious. My favorite was the sausage and pepper pizza. Had a nice montepulciano as well.

I thoroughly enjoyed my recent dinner at Bar del Corso in the Beacon Hill neighborhood in Seattle. The pizza was absolutely delicious -- wild nettle pesto and mushroom -- with that thin but chewy, charred crust that the wood oven produces. The selection of small plates was appetizing and interesting, and I haven't seen such a good selection of wines under $30 in a restaurant for a long time.

Combination of creative food, wonderful ambience and helpful staff makes this an icon place. My only complaint is that it is always packed.

I went to Bar del Corso because its in my Beacon Hill neighborhood, and I love supporting the local establishments. It was a summer evening, so it was hot and it was packed. I knew we'd have to wait for a table for two--which was ok. What was NOT ok was that it was 80 degrees inside and when we were seated there was no water and it took OVER five minutes for someone to pour us water. Our waitress did not tell us specials, and from where we were sitting, I could not see them...so we missed out on hearing them all together. It's a shame too, because I would have ordered one. The food came out in a timely manner- and I have to say- it was delicious! We got a panzanella salad and a special sausage pizza. Both were great. That being said, I ordered a coke, which was never offered to be refilled, NOR was my water. I was sitting there, roasting with NO beverages after I slurped down the first two. The waitress next to us messed up the drink order of the guy in the table next to us as well. I like the atmosphere and I liked the food, but the service was sub par for the prices being paid.

I had a late dinner here with a fairly large group on a Saturday evening in August, and it was a fun place. I tried a few dishes, and they were hit or miss. The clams were amazing - like out of this world amazing. And thankfully, it was a heaping pile that I ate throughout the meal, because the other dishes were meh. The pork shoulder was expertly cooked, but extremely over seasoned. And the panzanella salad was way too vinegary to the point where it was almost inedible. The fruity soda I tried was clawingly sweet, so overall more lows than highs. But I did have a good time, and the pizzas looked great. As another reviewer mentioned, it was insanely hot inside. I was sweating up a storm.

This place has a nice atmosphere, easy decor, and a responsive waitstaff. The food was solid, but not epic. I've had better pizza in Seattle, but this was good. The crust was a bit tough, but the quality of toppings was good. Small plates were tasty, well seasoned, and had some interesting choices, especially given the small menu.

Arrived early for a Saturday dinner and had no trouble getting a table. Ordered a glass of wine for myself and a cider for my spouse. The cider was good but it was the smallest glass of cider I’ve ever seen served in a restaurant! Re-orders from the bar were very slow to arrive. The food was really good. Tried two different salads, the rice and mozz balls, a mushroom pizza and a strawberry rhubarb dessert. Loved the salads! The prices were fair and the service good. Alas, the restaurant is so very loud when full of diners.

We had a great night out at Bar del Corso with the team. Being a mixed group of Germans and Americans, we of course have different expectations of the perfect pizza - but I have to say, none of us has been disappointed! My favorite pizza of all time is a pizza parma with arugula and parmigiano. It's not on the menu but since they had an original Italian ham slicer on display, I asked. And not only did they right away know what I wanted, it also came out perfectly baked, with the parma ham and arugula added afterwards, topped off with some parmigiano cheese. Just perfect! Definitely a recommendation!

We were celebrating with friends so decided to have dinner at Bar del Corso. Lovely outside table and terrific food.

We can't stay away. Anytime we eat dinner somewhere else, we say: Wish we would've gone to Bar del Corso!! The pizza crust is the most perfect I've ever eaten: chewy with a little

This place is AMAZING! The food is so good! We lived in Southern Italy a few years ago and this place transported us right back to our neighborhood pizzeria in Italy! This place was super busy, but it's definitely worth the wait! Can't wait to go back!

Renowned for their thin crust pizza, we had several appetizers and a special. Food was excellent. Service was bright and helpful. The 20 minute wait for a weeknight table was not unexpected, as this is a very popular place.

Bar Del Corso is currently one of my favorite places to eat in Seattle. Last night the 3 of us shared the octopus, mussels, the pizza special, and a bottle of Cannonau wine. All were very good. If you haven’t been to Bar Del Corso you must go.

If you like brick oven pizza, this is the place for you. We ordered three of the six pizzas on the menu and they were outstanding. They have very thin crust and the toppings were delicious. We also order three side dishes, the rice balls, salad, and mussels. The mussels in particular were excellent along with the bread for dunking in the sauce. OMG, you were in heaven. We also ordered a bottle of wine and for the five of us the bill was only $125.00. Not bad for five people and in Seattle. This restaurant goes to the top for our next visit. Warning, the place is not large so if you go on a weekend go early. If not you will wait a long time. We went on a Tuesday night around 6:30 and no problem with seating but by 7:45 people were waiting. Parking can also be a problem as it is located in a residential area. Enjoy

Yes, Chef Jerry Corso is as talented as some of the greats ;Wolfgang Puck , Roger Verge, Julia and the rest of the world's finest ! My favorite place to dine when in Seattle and probably most of the world. Our party of 8 had to wait and hour and one half to be seated, we were grumpy, not friendly to poor Gina Corso who graciously attends to her guests (sorry Gina) but once seated and we tasted Jerry's fabulous cuisine we knew that the waite was worth it. Best to order many small bites and a pizza or two to share with the table. The zucchini flowers are amazing! The wine list offers fabulous wines from various southern regions in Italy that one will not find in most restaurants in the United States. Truly an amazing dining experience!

We had an AirBnB accommodation nearby, arrived late in Seattle and didn't want to go to town the first night. How fortunate! One of the best meals of the whole vacation! We had the meatballs, the Vongole alla Marinara, something from the daily menu and the funghi pizza and everything tasted delicious! We were sitting outside at a big table, so we talked to the table neighbors. Very nice atmosphere and perfect service. Highly recommended!

I rarely give any place an excellent rating. Bar del Corso is one of the exceptions. There are so many reasons to recommend this restaurant. Food, service, price. The octopus is just incredible. The pizza is also excellent and some of the most reasonably price wood fired pizza in the city. I strongly suggest that you try this place.

Great thin crust Pizza - $16 a pie - lots of small plate choices to accompany your pie - good wine selection and some fantastic coffee based deserts - always busy - get there at 5pm to be assured a seat / table - no reservations accepted !

It had been awhile since I’d been to Bar del Corso. It was packed as usual. We had the special pizza which was delicious.

When I requested that I would like pizza for dinner, my son took me here. It was really crispy pizza and so tasty with nettle as an ingredient. The other food ordered was liked by all. I'll put this on my list of restaurants to revisit when I'm back in Seattle.

This place takes no reservations and is usually full within minutes of its 5PM opening. The pizza's are excellent, the Margarita one is a favorite. Crusts are thin and crunchy. Their specialty drinks are great, and appetizers are varied and unusual. We go there with friends and order a mix of appetizers for sharing and it amounts to a great meal. Weather permitting, the patio is a great place to be seated.

We try to go here once a week either as a couple, with family, or friends. It is by far my favorite restaurant in Seattle. We regularly order the mussels, octopus, rapini with burrata cheese, and salami picante pizza, but also order their seasonal specials. Their food is made with the best ingredients and with so much attention to detail and dare I say, love!?! It's my favorite place to eat outside of Italy and is incredibly reasonably priced. Just go, you'll love it if you appreciate good, authentic Italian food.

What a great neighborhood restaurant! We stopped by on our way back into Seattle from hiking at Mt. Rainier. Parking was plentiful on the street. I was a little nervous about not being able to make a reservation on a Sat night. It WAS very busy, but we were able to be seated right away at the bar. We thought this was great! We sat right in front of the main chef and watched him make all the plates for the night (except for the pizza). He chatted with us, answered a few questions and handed us all our meals, almost immediately after assembling them. It was like our own personal chef’s table! It is a busy, crowded and loud restaurant. Initially we waited for the bartender to help us, but once she acknowledged us service was efficient and pleasant. It has 4-5 pizzas and then a number of seasonal small plates. We shared the risotto and the meatballs. They were delicious! Not heavy at all with lots of flavor. The pizza may not please everyone—very thin crust so it got a little soggy in the middle. We thought it was great—very flavorful. We kept seeing a dessert come in and out of the oven all night and determined we wanted to have whatever it was. It was a polenta cake, which I was initially a little concerned about. (corn? For dessert). It was by far the.best.dessert I have ever had. Warm and gooey with a sweet flavor and fresh berries. I thought the cost for all this was a downright steal. Definitely check this place out

This is a real Seattle gem. The food is excellent and the price is moderate. I had the mussels on my most recent visit and they were fantastic.

Been visiting Seattle and been here twice, excellent food especially wood fired pizza and nice ambiance to match. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quality pizza/restaurant in the Beacon Hill area.

Prior to Covid, this restaurant was one of our favorites. It was a regular place that we took out-of-town guests to eat fantastic pizza. Last night, we finally returned. It's great that the restaurant now takes reservations, and the food remains outstanding, particularly the pizza. However, what has changed is the service. We had 3 different servers last night acting in different capacities and they all were consistently bad. Our main server never smiled, at all, and clearly was not enjoying what she was doing. The server pouring water refills poured water all over the table, and acted like that was just part of having water served to us. No effort to clean it up or apologize. The 3rd server brought the check, threw it on the table, kept walking and said "thank you" over her shoulder. Needless to say, we didn't leave our normal 20-25% tip. We did leave a tip, just because, but it was far less. I don't think we'll be back anytime soon. I didn't see the owner there last night, so maybe his presence makes a difference. We can only hope.

We started with several small plates (Suppli al Telefono, Burrata & Rapini, Tonno del Chianti, Arugula Salad and Romanesco Bagna Cauda) and then had 2 pizzas - Funghi and one of the daily specials with a very nice COS 100% Nero d'Avola wine. Espresso, Cardamoro and a superb Panna Cotta finished the meal.

This is a very busy and popular place-deservedly so. The food is good! We had rice balls, pizzas, salads, asparagus and yummy desserts. The menu changes with specials listed on a board. Sometimes the service the service is slow. It is well worth the wait to eat here.

The local paper rated Bar del Corso as one of the top 6 pizza places in Seattle. So far I have to agree! We tried two different pies and both were very good. Crusts were light and chewy, sauce was light and the cheeses delightful. Good atmosphere, fairly casually, friendly staff. Go early as by 6:15PM there will likely be a line.

All too often it seems that trendy places lose the attention to detail and fine food that made them trendy to begin with. But Corso continues to turn out great meals and a great experience. We sat at the bar and enjoyed splitting an order of risotto balls as an appetizer (crunchy outside, creamy inside, yummy) and moved on to splitting a margarita pizza - also perfectly done with some charred crust. Only complaint: the cocktail I ordered (gin on the rocks) could have been a little more generous for the price charged.

Bar del Corso continues to be one of the best places to eat in Seattle. Having just returned from 3 weeks in Italy I needed some Italian food (wood fired pizza). I had the octopus as an appetizer (incredible) it may be the best in the city. The pizza special was fantastic.

Our Airbnb hosts (self-proclaimed foodies) recommended this place to us when they heard of our constant search for those local chef-owned places. A singular standout in this working-class eclectic neighborhood just south of Seattle, Bar del Corso did not disappoint. It's casual, intimate and without pretense. Wine is charmingly served from a simple drinking class as you would in Italy. Ingredients have meaning and purpose and it shows in the food. Nothing is done for trendy effect. Lovely food. Not overly portioned. Two of us shared three small plates and it was more than enough. Addictive-worthy Fried Risotto Aranchini (rice balls), creamy and crunchy with a touch of tomato. I could eat a bucket of them. Olive oil braised pork shoulder dressed with controne beans, radicchio and endive. Incredibly fork tender and ridiculously full of flavor. Last was a plate of chef special sausage. I'm always of fan of encased meats. A good chef can always surprise with their choice of seasonings and this one was an homage to mama with a tweek of chef's inspiration. Add some wine from a great wine list, reasonable prices and outstanding and not pushy servers and it was, without any doubt, a return-worthy meal. Just shows you that you don't have to go to the 'trendy' neighborhoods to get exceptionally prepared food.Kudos to the chef. Just make sure that you either go on a weekday, arrive a little early or prepare to wait for a little while (we only waited about 15-20 minutes on a weekday at 7:30). If there's a long wait, than you know that it's worth waiting for so be prepared. It IS worth waiting for.

My husband and I and two other couples had a delightful and delicious dinner last evening. The food here is outstanding and changes somewhat with the seasons. I especially love the pizza and usually bring home one with me.

Returning to Seattle to fly home following a visit to Vancouver, our host suggested Bar del Corso in North Beacon Hill. Inventive Italian small plate variations, not expensive, but full flavored. Great service, good Italian wines and a great neighborhood friendly atmosphere. Only wish we had at least one more day in Seattle as we'd surely be visiting this place again!

A West Seattle friend told us about this place on Beacon Ave. just SE of downtown Seattle! We got there early because of some appointment changes, and parked right in front. They opened at 5 pm and had quite a steady flow of hungry guests. Our friend was late in meeting us, so we opted to get a table (no reservations are taken!) and wait. During our lull, we bought some recommended wine and had some freshly baked bread with it! Mmmmm! With an hour, our friend showed up and we ordered several "small" plates of various Italian dishes. We did need some help with the translations of what the foods were, but with some assistance, we got about 5 small plates to share between the 3 of us! What great Italian food, especially the pizza, which is baked in a special, wood-fired over just off the dining room! We had full bellies, and we surprised at the low cost of the bill considering we bought a bottle of wine, too. Just over $100 for 3 of us and wine, but no dessert! We would come back again! Just be warned, it does fill up early and there is limited waiting area for those on the list. It was SRO by the time we left after 2 hours!

Now....This is a Inspired Creatuve American Chef destined for great things ! It's rare to find perfectly prepared zucchini flowers in the United States. Chef Corso ' s were beyond words! This Chef has a "feel" for creating gastronomic delights! One can dine on exotic pizzas or "small bite" creations. Extremely reasonably priced this is a fabulous restaurant not to be missed when in Seattle.

Although a drive from the north end of Seattle to Beacon Hill, we love the wood-fired Neapolitan style pizza and fantastic small plates. Definitely try the slow pork and octopus, yum! You may have to wait, though. And they don't take reservations.

I am jealous! Beacon Hill has some great food! We loved the artichokes and farro risotto specials - and of course the pizza! The menu is simple with frequent updates based on the season. The service was great - super friendly and helpful with the many Italian words on the menu. Nice wine and spirits menu. The menu is limited, but if you follow their recommendations and get a bunch of small plates and a couple pizza to share, they do a great job with the pace I

We got lucky with street parking right around the corner but realize had we not found that spot, it probably would have been quite the search. Fun little place with a crazy high noise level. We ordered family style with small plates to share and our server did a nice job letting us know which dishes he would ask the kitchen to add an extra bite to so we could share equally and not have to negotiate who would be left out. Heads up on drinks; there is one white wine and one red wine that are served in a vessel that closely resembles my little cat's water bowl. We ordered a cider and that came in the same 7oz glass for a 12oz price. The mixed drinks were tasty and, in case you're wondering, served in actual drink glasses. The printed menu is supplemented by a specials board that is definitely worth ordering from. We ordered one plate each of arancini and meatballs and highly recommend both. We also had the arugula salad, which was fine, and a butternut squash risotto that used faro instead of pasta. It was warm and comforting. The pizzas are a must! We ordered two and between four people did not have a single leftover piece. We also had cod fritters that we all agreed were a miss. Days later I was still thinking about the arancini and meatballs, so let me drive it home that you have to get them.

Jerry runs a great kitchen, and is super particular in choosing his ingredients. Always a friendly crowd, and sometimes there is a wait. The open dining room lacks sound-baffling, and can get pretty loud. Otherwise, this is not just the best pizza on Beacon Hill, but some of the best "small plate" dishes in Seattle. Creative cocktails, and 4 great rotating microbrews on tap, plus Moretti. The panna cotta here is heavenly.

We visit this restaurant because we were looking for a place which was nice and not to expensive. Well it met our expectations. We had nice appetizer of balls with buffalo cheese and risotto. It was delicious. As entree we had the fungi pizza. We closed our diner with pane-cotta. Overall experience was that of very high standards. Service of the staff was very good and quick.

I introduced my wife to Bar Del Corso for dinner on Valentine's Day and scored major brownie points. We arrived right when they opened at 5:00 and found a huge line outside. Fortunately, there were almost exactly as many people waiting in line as there were seats inside, so we did not have to wait for a table once the doors opened. Service was great, especially considering the rush of people arriving all at the same time. We shared the supli (fried rice balls) and the funghi pizza, which was perfect for the two of us. To celebrate the holidays, we indulged in a shared dessert of the decedent chocolate cake. Everything was great. Prices here are reasonably, considering the quality and the superior atmosphere and service. So happy to have found this place.

Everything is great, so be sure not to order too many dishes. The pizzas are not a one man show, unless that's all you order. Service, ambiance, prices and high quality make this the best bet in Beacon Hill.

Bar del Corso doesn't take reservations. It opens for dinner at 5pm and we arrived just as it opened and there were already people waiting in (a short) line. Our party of seven was seated immediately. We ordered small plates to share and everything was delicious. We ordered three pizzas to share and had a wonderful time.

Plump large mussels served In savory bacon, shallot and garlic enriched broth, accompanied by the delicious bread baked in their pizza oven. With one of their unusual salad or vegetable dishes, and a glass of wine or beer, a fully satisfying meal -- unless a person can't resist also ordering one of their outstanding pizzas. And desserts.

Customer took us here which was billed as a local eatery. We were quite lucky to be seated right away as 15 minutes later there was a long waiting list. The place is a bit noisy but tables are far enough apart that conversation is not an issue. A great place to try small bites of things you may not ordinarily find in restaurants. The grilled octopus was outstanding and the homemade sausage with lentils and parsnips was worth it. The wine list is mostly Italian wines so you need to brush up a bit if wine is part of your meal.

Arrive early at this trendy neighborhood restaurant or you will have to wait for a table. No reservations taken. We sat at the bar, right across from the stove where the hot appetizers are prepared. We sampled one of them, grilled octopus with beans, which was good. We also had a plate of freshly sliced Prosciutto di Parma which was sensational in every aspect. There's the hand-powered slicer, a piece of art in itself. The plate is plentiful, you gotta love your prosciutto to eat your way through it which is made so much easier by the phenomenal bread that comes with it. I think it is made with the pizza dough and baked in the uniquely shaped pizza oven that is visible from the restaurant. We were soon asking for more, and I wanted the crunchy ends that weren't going into the baskets for the tables. We shared a simple Margherita pizza that we upgraded with Buffalo mozarella. It was the best pizza I have had in Seattle - ever. There is a rather small selection of micro beers on tap. My wife enjoyed Italian white wine, and I agree with other reviewers that stemmed wine glasses should be used instead of the tumblers. This turned out to be the only flaw here. Service was with a smile. Several members of the staff served us, and everybody was very attentive and prompt. Will be returning!

I found this spot on the top spots to eat in Seattle in October of 2024. It did not disappoint. My husband and I ate there last night (be sure to make a reservation; it gets really crowded). We started off with two old fashioneds to drink. They make great drinks there. For appetizers, we shared a plate of the freshly sliced prosciutto (the best that I have had in a long time) and their truffle pecorino cheese. You have the option to add homemade bread with it (for a fee), but since we were getting pizza, we decided to just go with the anti-pasta. We then shared their salad with pears, blue cheese and hazelnuts. The salad was great with a nice dressing and big enough for two. Next time, I would omit the frissee unless you are a frissee lettuce fan. Finally, we shared the pizza of the day which was delicious and came with a nicely bubbled and charred crust. We sat indoors, but this restaurant also has a nice outdoor dining section.

It's a small place that caters to locals, the atmosphere is quite nice and I would describe as open but cozy, you can also get a table on the sidewalk. Take light rail to the Beacon Hill station, once up top walk south (left out of elevator) and take a pleasant stroll for about 8 minutes, Bar del Corso is on the right side of street.

This place was recommended by a friend, and I have to say, it was pretty disappointing. my friends liked their pizza but my own meal was less impressive, was fine but pretty tasteless and mediocre. But the kicker was the serving of my (not cheap) wine in a jelly jar glass. I understand this is hipster-cool right now, but wine glasses are shaped that way for a reason and you lose something by drinking it out of a flat-bottomed wide vessel like that. Not cool.

The food is very close to things you would find in Italy. The wood fired pizza is very much in the Neapolitan style pizza (meaning pizza you find in Naples, Italy) So if you're looking for NY or Chicago style pizza this is not the place to go. We had the mussels last night, amazingly good and the least expensive I've found in Seattle. The place is loud (like many restaurants these days). The service is very good. We also had an excellent bottle of Aglianico del Vulture.

Can’t recommend it. Not our taste. Didn’t care for the sauce on the meatballs. If you like burnt pizza, then this is for you. We prefer not to have the crust burnt to the point that the only flavor is the carbon. If you like that kind of pizza, this is for you.

Bar del Corso is our go-to place in Seattle. Whether we are trying to impress guests or want to just eat some fantastic food, this is the best bistro in the south end. They have nightly specials on the board. My favorite is the baccala or salted cod. They do a wonderful braised beef and octopus dish too. The pizzas are delish! I don't usually like crusts but these have just enough salt in them to make them perfect. They have a great back porch if you can get a seat. Just go early! This neighborhood bistro is a big favorite with all the locals. It gets packed quickly but thankfully they have a full bar to keep you occupied while you wait.

We stumbled upon this neighborhood gem after a quick google search. We were coming from Boeing Filed and going to Sea Tac and wanted a good dinner. We were lucky to get seated a the bar. We had two pizzas, the meatballs, a salad and another starter. Everything was fresh and delicious!!

Five of us went to enjoy their "Italian" style pizza. We ordered 3 different pizza a salad, clams and mussels. We ordered the Fughi and Romana Pizza along with a "special" which included crimni mushrooms. First...the crust was perfect and the toppings fresh and flavorful.....we'll be back. This is a very busy restaurant which could have used at least one additional server at this very busy time of the day.

Being an "eastsider" I had never been to the Beacon Hill area and was most interested in discovering a new area. I was surprised to find that arriving early to do a little window shopping before our meal was not possible, because Bar del Corso is in a very residential area. The positive side of that is parking is very accessible. As was mentioned by the previous reviewer, the pizzas at Bar del Corso are is extremely good. A perfectly done thin crust, dusted with olive oil, mushrooms, pancetta and Walla Walla sweets. Yum! The waxed bean salad with a variety of cherry tomatoes topped with a cheese that I missed the name of was enjoyed by all. The crispy cauliflower with pesto and thin slivers of Parmesan was delicious (didn't catch the name, and it doesn't appear to be on the online menu.) They do not cut the pizzas for you, so that's a bit tricky. Not something any of us thought was a positive thing, as pizza cutters do a much better job than a steak knife at cutting pizzas, especially for the variety that has big pieces of mozzarella on them. Reservations are not taken. Seating is not done until most of your party has arrived. There are a few seats at the bar, but those are only for people having food. So don't plan to arrive early and shop, or sit at the bar and wait for the rest of your party, because it isn't going to happen. But you are going to have great food once you do get to your table. And the service is also quite good! Always important.

We were looking forward to enjoying a good dinner with friends at this very recommended restaurant, instead ended up waiting i hr and 45 minutes only to receive substandard service and mediocre food. Not worth the wait, not worth the food, not worth the service.

I was visiting friends in Seattle for the weekend who insisted we go to Bar del Corso on Saturday night, and I was happy to follow their lead as they have never steered me wrong in the exploration of Seattle's best eateries. I imagined we would amble over sometime around 7 or 8 p.m., but at about 4:30 p.m. they started the forward motion toward the car, headed to Bar del Corso. (I haven't eaten dinner at 5 pm since going with my grandparents for early bird special walleye in Brainerd, MN 20 years ago...) When we pulled up to the curb across the street I understood why as I saw the queue already snaking its way up the sidewalk in front of the door. The selection of small plates prepared from the most impossibly succulent of the mid summer garden bounty was dizzying, and between the three of us I believe we tried one of each of the nightly specials along with a few offerings off of the menu. The food was subtly exquisite in its preparation and presentation, as humble and earthy as the plate of roasted cauliflower that was likely the best I've eve had. The service at Bar del Corso was a match for the food and drink; high quality and unpretentious. The overall experience at this bustling rustic Italian eatery was outstanding, and I am marking down the days until I can indulge again.

Beacon Hill has never been a destination for me or anyone I know until now. Jerry and Gina really have pulled together something worth the short drive from downtown away from the usual suspects. The atmosphere is pleasant and warm without being too much of anything. The menu has four-five smart options in each category so you know the kitchen can focus on quality production and not volume cranking out passable food. This place really does focus on quality and keeping things reasonably priced so it remains a great neighborhood restaurant and a destination all onto itself.

If I could afford going out to eat more often I would be a regular at Bar del Corso. The pizza is some of the best in the city and the price is very reasonable. Their appetizers are wonderful. I highly recommend a visit if you haven't been.

If I could review Bar del Corso every time I went I would! The food is excellent. The service is very good, and the prices are awesome considering the high quality of the food. I finally got to sit in the outside courtyard which is located at the back of the restaurant...very nice ambiance.

Bar Del Corso is my favorite for both the pizza (the crust is the best tasting I have ever had) and the appetizers are superb. I have a good experience with the staff. I find the room too loud for my tastes though. This is wood fired Neapolitan style pizza made in one, personal, size.

What a fun evening we had at this lively neighborhood restaurant! Loved the pizza and the excellent appetizers including the stuffed squash blossoms. This restaurant reminded me of the "good ole days" when you could eat a great meal for a reasonable prize in a cozy, relaxed atmosphere. You can get pizza in a lot of cookie-cutter box restaurants but this really felt like your Italian friend was whipping up specialty pizzas in his kitchen just for your pleasure!

This thin but tender crusted pizza and small plate restaurant is really good. Mostly local Beacon Hillers here. Nice bar, no reservations, loud. Worth a visit.

This place is wonderful. Food-amazing Atmosphere-Lovely Not a good place for an engaging or intimate conversation. It is very loud inside ( plus the place is always packed cause the food is so good) so if you wanna really chat, keeping looking. Get here early, there will be a line up. There is now outside seating. Short walk from the light rail station.

Bar del Corso consistently makes the best wood fired pizza at the most reasonable price in the city. Last night we had the arugula & beet salad to start, which was very good.

Bar Del Corso continues to be one of my go to places for Italian food/wood fired pizza in the city. The food and prices (considering the quality) are excellent. They were super busy on my most recent visit and they seemed a little understaffed for servers. But the food was fantastic as always. It can be very loud depending on some of the other patrons. But don't let that stop you from going.

I've been wanting to go to this place for ages and it didn't disappoint. The patio is very nice on a warm evening. I had the amazing salad with escarole and radicchio, the funghi pizza with mushrooms and sausage followed by the stunning rhubarb and polenta dessert. My friend had an octopus dish with pesto and delicious potatoes.

We had dinner here and it was very good. Lots of different items on the menu that were delicious and made me wish we had ordered more! I like small plates because you can sample more items. Service was a bit slow, but the place was packed at 7:00 on a Tuesday night. It was a very enjoyable meal, the only thing keeping me from giving it an excellent rating is the noise. It was extremely noisy to the point where it was difficult to talk. Everyone was hunched over the table so we could hear one another.

Great neighborhood feel, quaint with really great food to match. The super thin crust pizza truly was to die for, so fresh with that all too important wood-fired taste. Small plates with seasonal vegetables were also outstanding. I wish I could possibly find something about this restaurant I didn't like, but I simply loved everything about it. I guess there is a courtyard in the back of the restaurant that was full by the time we got there so we ate in the main dining area which was just fine. The house specialty cocktails were of course - great. Even though I love wine often I prefer just one tasty cocktail to drink while chatting and waiting for the meal. Oh boy, I really liked this place and will go back. I loved the unpretentious feel of this eatery and food that knocked my socks off. It's not ultra fancy dining but who needs that anyway, I don't. Service was good, busy place with families, singles on dates and groups. Just like Italy.

Plan to arrive early since the line begins to form rapidly! Service was good, food was great! Started with meatballs in a terrific sauce and moved on to pizzas. Margarita pizza was delicious with very fresh toppings and perfect crust. Pane-cotta for dessert was a great ending to a wonderful meal.

Although we live 15 miles away, it is always worth the trip to eat at Bar del Corso. The food and service have always been excellent. It is a busy place but the staff is efficient and one gets seated promptly. If possible we try to get there on the early side. We have ordered various pizzas and small plates. All were enjoyable. So suggest you look over the offerings and select what suits your taste on that particular day. Parking is available on the street. If you choose to ride Metro, route number 36 stops right in front.

I rarely give any restaurant an excellent rating not because there are not lots of wonderful restaurants in Seatlle (there are) it because combine great food at a very reasonable price. Bar del Corso manages to do that. If you haven't been what are you waiting for?

My aunt brought us here for a nice dinner before Christmas. We got there right when they opened. The staff was very friendly and constantly checked in/ filled our drinks. I am VERY picky and was concerned looking at the menu. I ordered the margehrita pizza since it looked the least exotic. My husband got the salami pizza. Both were DELICIOUS. I was pleasantly surprised that I loved all of it! We also ordered some appetizers which were great.

This place has all my 3 favourite ingredients Pizzeria, Restaurant and Bar. Loved the wood fired Pizzas, accompanied with some good Italian wines. Good in house breads, very fresh.

Bar del Corso is a MUST visit place when I'm visiting Seattle! The place is small and does not take reservations . Often one must wait to be seated...the wait is worth it! There's a wonderful selection of cocktails made from the freshest ingredients as well as very interesting wines from southern regions of Italy to enjoy during the wait as well as with dinner.Negroni anyone? The Chef and his talented staff create fabulous food in a tiny area...an amazing fete to watch ! The ingredients...fresh and seasonal. I travel the world . I have had an opportunity to dine at Michelin rated restaurants from France to Hong Kong.....and must say....Chef Del Corso is one of the most creative and talented chefs on the world!

We visited here for the first time with friends and were not disappointed. Small plates are perfect--everything we ordered was tasty! Excellent wine choices. Friendly wait staff.

This place was definitely a highlight of our recent trip to Seattle. An amazing dinner in a wonderful atmosphere - sophisticated but still with a neighborhood feel. The meatballs were spectacular and our pizza and salad delicious. We'll go back as often as possible.

there were 6 of us and a huge table was set up with four chairs, when we asked for two chairs they said that the drink was mandatory otherwise two would remain standing, they took the order and the waitress was kind, but the waiting times were over twenty minutes for a coffee, two campari a pistachio hot chocolate and an estathe. Crazy... the food is good

For some unexplainable reason I feel like I belong here. It's always crowded and there are a lot of different types of people that frequent this restaurant yet I feel perfectly at home. The food is consistently delicious and that's what it's all about, right? Be sure to order more than just pizza. Everything I've had I would recommend. The beer selection could be better but they have wonderful cocktails. And wine. For the quality of the food, the prices are very reasonable. There is the occasional ingredient that I have to ask about which makes me feel this place is a tiny bit adventurous without being pretentious whatsoever.

Best thing to happen to Beacon Hill ever!!! Amazing, uniquely topped thin crispy crust pizzas. Menu changes frequently to offer seasonal items. They dont take reservations, you will most likely have to wait a bit....but soooooo worth it! Order a beer or special cocktail while you wait.

Bar del Corso is amazing! Small, but not too small. The food was superb when I was there in July! Awesome rustic wood-fired pizzas that was so flavorful! And their prosciutto di parma appetizer was amazing! Great service!

We went here with a young couple. It was yummy food. Noisy, which we have come to expect in Seattle hipster bars. The specialty pizza with chantrelle mushrooms was fabulous. Sarasota mozzarella balls were steaming hot and yummy. They were some families here, but on the Friday night it was mostly couples and groups of friends.

We met up with some friends for dinner and we're quite surprised by the long wait! (Over 85 minutes for a table of 4) Once seated the staff was attentive but a little distracted. Hoping the wait was a sign of good things to come, our second surprise was the rather limited menu. Mostly small plate options, a couple of entrees and a nice selection of neopolitan-style thin crust pizza. The wood fired oven is quite impressive, but we were warned by the regulars that the buffalo mozzarella was awesome, but made he crust soggy. Based on our experience, this place feels more like a bar with food, rather than a restaurant with a bar.

Been a regular since day 1. Love the food it’s great. Last time I went, staff didn’t treat us well. My partner and I ordered the usual ipa to start. I thought it was flat, and they couldn’t resolve it, so she dumped it down the sink. We got the bill and they charged us for the beer that went down the sink. We asked why we were being charged for a beer we didn’t drink and they said the manager approved making us pay for it. How about : you have to pay for it anyway, so do you want to keep it? We left our usual 20% tip but regretted it, after being treated kind of rudely and charged for a beer that we weren't given the option to consume. Ya it’s just a beer but not being treated like dedicated regulars, and being brushed off has left us pretty chapped.

I had read the reviews and thought how good this place really was. Well, after my first visit I can say excellent. We were greeted warmly, and enjoyed a bottle of Prosecco while we waited for our table. (expect a wait no matter what night you go) On of our small plates was the octopus which was some of the best octopus I've had anywhere. Our pizza with the house made sausage was also incredible. If I were selfish I would give this place a bad review because I would like to not attract anymore business. But I'm not and you will really love this place if you love go Italian food. Go!!!

We have never been here before and were excited to try it out after so many glowing reviews from friends. The food was great- the salt cod and potato appetizer was delicious as well as the farro risotto (with prosciutto and asparagus). The pizzas are good, cocktails are yummy but unfortunately none of it matters that much if you have a wait staff that could care less; the indifference is rude. It literally left a bad taste in our mouth.

I have been here before and always look forward to dining on the outdoor patio in the summer. The food was great - a side dish of sugar snap peas with whipped ricotta and a sausage and funghi pizza. The greeter at the door was friendly and personable, however, our waitress was perfunctory at best and not the least bit welcoming. A very different experience than I have had on other visits. Perhaps she was having an off night.

This is a wonderful place, though in what is (for me) an out of the way neighborhood. Really superb food. Kind of Italian bar food and pizza. Great drinks. Fills up and stays busy and you're probably going to have to wait. We went at five on a Saturday--easy to get in but by around six, not so. Still it is worth it. Just excellent. And i love the easy atmosphere, too. Cannot wait to go back and eat more!

The food is mostly pizza and it's pretty good. The place certainly draws a crowd and it's really, really noisy

Casual pizza & wine bar with unusual choices. We sat at the bar which was fun. Started with a cocktail (they have a menu of cocktails, many of which I hadn't heard of) then shared small plates of grilled romanesco and a salad, then into the pizzas. Warm welcome, busy at weekends.

Warm weather and pizza ovens do not mix. Sweaty hot inside, even with all the fans going. The inside looks nice but has terrible accoustics. It was so noisy I could barely think. Waitress was cute but did not fill up our water. I'd avoid this place in the summer, and weekends. I would've given it a 2-star "poor" rating but the food was good and probably a better experience in the fall/winter, or a weekday when not so busy.

We have had several meals here recently that have been absolutely fantastic!! Squash blossoms are in season and are excellent. Very fresh ingredients in very creative dishes. We will be back again and again.
Great place to eat in the neighborhood
We went to dinner here with my son and DIL and everything we had was great. All of the salads were fresh with local ingredients. I had the panzanella salad which had heirloom tomatoes with a homemade dressing. Then we all had our own pizzas which are cooked in a wood fired oven. While the pizzas appear large, the crust is very thin, so we had no trouble eating all the pizzas at our table. Even my DIL who is < 100 lb ate an entire pizza by herself. We had the roasted eggplant/smoked mozzarella/fresh basil pizza that was awesome. It was a special pizza, so not a regular menu item. We would definitely go back in the future.
