Giovanni was extremely helpful and friendly. He gave us a list of great things to do in the area. Excellent drinks, food, and ambience. Highly recommend!

Situated in a beautiful location on Mission Bay , but service and management can’t keep up with popularity since Covid. Poor service and lamentably management seemingly could care less

Breakfast was amazing. Lots of new items on the menu and had a great meal every time we ate there all three days

My daughter took us on a boat ride on Wednesday and we stopped here for lunch. Great views, great service and very good food. I had the wings (well done... I don't like them if there is any "moving skin" on the wings). They were awesome, very crisp. The lunch was very relaxing but I have a feeling this place could be crazy on a weekend.

Stayed at paradise point for 3 nights with my wife and son, this review is solely on the dining experience at Barefoot Bar and Grill. We ate here twice, and then twice at the adjacent restaurant tidal. Upon checking in to the hotel we decided to have lunch at Barefoot grill, it was a very busy Friday afternoon. Richy was our server and did a fantastic job, we also had Keshia and she was great as well. Although both of them are day and night. Richy was very quick, to the point and professional. Keshia was quirky, kind, and funny. Both were great! What struck me and my wife the most is that Ricky asked if anyone had any allergies, my son has celiac disease and also lactose-intolerant, He was very aware of what menu options were appropriate for my son. Also when delivering our chips and salsa appetizer he let us know that there is a possible cross contamination and is a risk for our son. He was very professional and attended my wife first then my son and then I was last. We ate at tidal which is there “fine” dining option and none of our 2 servers were as attentive and professional as he was. He even had our check ready pre written with our last name and room number when dropping it off, how did he know ? I’m not sure... it was sort of weird but impressive. He addressed us by our last names throughout the entire lunch and let us know of other breakfast/lunch/dinner options that our son would be able to eat. Keshia was very funny and cheerful, she attended to my wife and I only. She recommended the inferno margarita which was fantastic, she was very quick as well. She looks like she enjoys her job! She also gave us a 15% off coupon for the rental place on property! Both were very different, but provided and exceptional dining/lunch experience. 5 stars for both of them !

It was nice to sit out by the water. We were there for dinner and breakfast. I think the food was fine, nothing outstanding though.

I was at a conference where this restaurant is located and ate here both days. Everything my wife and I ate was delicious. We absolutely enjoyed eating out on the patio with beautiful views of the bay.

Barefoot has a serious problem with service, we visited the resort as a family group and we all had the same experience specially at breakfast time. The hostess did not let people go directly to tables when they were only one or two tables occupied. Instead made them wait for more than 10 minutes. The attitude of the hostess and waiters was very tense, they did not seem to enjoy working with customers …. Again other 12 to 15 minutes until someone takes the order. The food is just ok…. The resort needs to do serious improvement about this situation… it has a great view, great location unfortunately a serious lack of efficient service.

Cj was our waiter at barefoot bar and grill not only was the food exceptional. The drinks and gorgeous view made it a pla e we will never forget

Had such amazing experience the service was great and our server Charles was awesome definitely going back and recommending to others

CJ was great! Breakfast shots were worth it. Watch them feed the sharks. Also, poke nachos. They were good

Great little spot in Mission Bay! You can dock your boat right out front even if you’re not staying at the resort - and the dock hands are super nice and good at their jobs. The restaurant itself has regular bar fare, and the cocktails are wonderful. During our visit, the bartender Michael was juggling a ton of customers (they seemed short-handed), but he worked his butt off and there wasn’t much of a wait for drinks or food.

I highly recommend Barefoot! Dennis seated us right away, and CJ was our amazing waiter who was so personable & friendly, and always made sure we were taken care of. The food is absolutely delicious and CJ recommended the best drinks! We love coming here!

Lagoon seating, amazing lobster rolls and good drinks. This is part of the historic Paradise Point Resort and offers a look back to the California high life of the 1960s. Part of the restaurant once was an underground bunker. Now several restaurants share this small area. The food here is much better than the convention food served on the property. I highly recommend making enough time to take a walk around the lagoons and beaches.

Nice place to hang out, great views the staff is very friendly. CJ was our waiter and did a great job, very friendly, excellent service.

We have been to Paradise Point and Barefoot Bar multiple times and typically experience is good. We came early for lunch, close to open so it wasn’t busy yet. Our waitress was nice and got us drink just fine and took our order. Then she had to go on break. This is normal, this happens regularly at restaurants as people need and deserve breaks. She let us know someone would check on us and she would be back. We were delivered food, which was good and as expected. Other than that no other visits. No one to see if we need anything. No one to fill our drinks. No one to check if we got all our food. Nothing. After at least 20 minutes of no contact we flagged someone down to take our card to pay, they dropped the card and receipt with out a word or stopping to say anything. I waited patiently for probably another 5 minutes and flagged someone down to ask for refills on my kids drinks, the lady looked annoyed and replied something something along the lines of ‘it will have to wait’. I waited another 5 minutes nothing, and she for sure walked past us a couple time with other tables drinks. I finally asked another gentleman for refills and he was able to get them for us. I know overall they were trying but there was obviously no structure as to who was going to cover the table and who was responsible for our service. I have worked in service and am a very patient person and this unfortunately was just not the nice relaxing Saturday afternoon it was supposed to be. I did ask for a manager , he was not available to provide this feedback too.

Great live music and very good bar eats ! Great views of all of the fish swimming around the restaurant .

I loved sitting out on the deck. The warm sun, the breeze and the scent of the bay. Oh yeah and the food is excellent. The wait staff is so friendly and accommodating.

Went here for dinner. The views were much better then what we actually ate. They were out of the carnitas torta for dinner so the waiter said they could substitute the carnitas tacos. The food did not come out warm & only salsa & black beans were offered with it. Will not be going back for a second time. Service was ok as well.

Had lunch on Saturday, was quick to be seated and greeted. The food was fabulous, I tried the poke and the cheeseburger and both were very tasteful! My mother had the wings and she liked them very much. Best of all was our awesome service! CJ was delightful! He was very nice and attentive, would definitely go again and request him😊

We had lunch here & the view is amazing! CJ took care of us. He is very personable, helpful & fun!!! Will definitely ask for him every time! The food was pretty good.

Richy was awesome waiter! He suggested the best surfer burrito and best IPA overlooking the bay!!! Funny guy and great service!!!

We had a BIG party here AND it was raining outside...Barefoot has a solid menu and good service. Most of all - they were able to take care of us when we really needed them.

I visited this bar in 1993, when it had sand covered floors. Since then, the improvement has been astonishing. There is a view of the bay, a lovely bridge overlooking a pond with small sharks, amazing plants, and good food. I will say, it was noisy..and I'll never understand why football games are played on three televisions at max volume. I couldn't stay so took the food back to my room.

I was very disappointed with my experience at Barefoot Bar & Grill at Paradise Point Resort. I had been to Tidal, it's other resident restaurant, before and enjoyed my time so my hopes were high for Barefoot. Let me clarify some things upfront: I understand the atmosphere is different than Tidal, and we did not expect the fancy service. We knew to come in with a very casual and relaxed mind and had heard that service was a little more slow and laid-back. We took a seat in the bar area in one of the surrounding high-top tables to avoid the 35 minute wait. We understood that we would not be waited on and to order from the bartenders. I understand that bartenders have other priorities than food and are juggling many hats with this kind of arrangement. However, the reason for one star is for the apparent poor training with bartenders and lack of sympathy or concern. First, we grabbed our seats. My fiance went to the bar and he put in our order. He was not asked to open a tab or put his card down for charges. Fiance was only asked where we were sitting, which was directly next to the bar and easily seen, and that was that. Fiance walked back over to me with waters and we started to enjoy the sunset. 30 minutes pass - we notice that others that ordered food from the bar after us had already received food. We waited another 10 minutes before Fiance went to the bar to get an ETA on our food. We were told to wait another 3 minutes. Waited about 10 minutes, and Fiance went back and asked for a checkup again. Fiance was told that they would go back to the kitchen and see about the food. No word for about 12 more minutes. At the last encounter with the bar, Fiance was told that our order was NEVER put in. He was asked if we opened a tab, and of course Fiance, confused, said "No, we were never told to open one." So the bartender casually tells us to give him his card to start one to start this entire process over again. I was livid. We had just waited an hour for food that was never ordered. I do not care for how unsympathetic the bartender was after we asked him multiple times to check on our food. We left, hungry, angry, I on the verge of tears. Did he even know what food to check? Was he just giving us empty answers to calm us? Why did the bartender my Fiance ordered from not put in our order when we saw the people before and after my Fiance also in the surrounding bar area get their food with no problems? My Fiance and I were sitting at a high top with waters for an hour, did nobody think that maybe we were waiting for something more? Needless to say this ruined our night. We had heard so many great things about Barefoot Bar & Grill and this was the worst possible first-impression. We will not be back. We are local San Diegans, and my advice to travelers is to take your time to find somewhere to eat off-property. San Diego is full of other amazing bars with better service.

This is the only place to secure breakfast at Paradise Point. They also serve lunch and dinner. The menu is limited and prices high. I paid over $22 for two tacos and a glass of ice tea. The servers were friendly but very slow. We waited a long time to get our food then had to track down the waiter to get our check. Had there been any other option for breakfast, other than a muffin, we would have chosen it.

Confusing, loud music, (young party mix) okay service, horrible food. Out of everything, great local on the waterfront, out door bar was cool. Friendly. Kids menu but not much else worth the bother. Heard it's all getting a huge makeover by investors, good to hear cuz this is a wasted space full of potential. As a chef and restaurant owner I was appalled.

I was with a group of co-workers on a Monday and we decided to stop by the Barefoot Bar for lunch. Even though we showed up with 20 people and didn't have a reservation, they were able to seat us within ten minutes. Our server, Abbie, quickly greeted us with a smile and didn't show a lick of stress at our group size. She took our order and we had our food and drinks within fifteen minutes from ordering. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding! Abbie provided the best service I have ever had with a group so large. I will definitely be back!

We had an amazing time at your restaurant. The atmosphere was fantastic. But more importantly our server was the absolute best server I've ever had. I believe his name was Charles. He was extremely thorough with the food menu and drink selection. He suggested a Mai Tai, which is one of my go to drinks. I can say with absolute certainty it was the best Mai Tai I've ever had and I've even had them in exotic places around the world. His demeanor made us feel like we were dining at home and that we were his only concern. He was absolutely hysterical but also gave us just the right amount of alone time with the family. It was the first time we've been to this restaurant and because of Charles we will now be regulars...but only if we get Charles. Thank you for an amazing experience

Upon arrival at the San Diego Airport, skip the rush on I-5; instead turn north on Harbor Drive toward Point Loma. Take the back streets to Paradise Point Resort for a relaxing lunch at the Barefoot Bar. The food is good and you can't beat the view of the small harbor, boats and fish swimming in the lagoon. You have arrived in San Diego!

Had a salad & ordered grilled chicken to round it out. It was a huge salad but the dressing wasn't as good as I'd hoped. Grilled chicken delicious but not enough. The waiter did a good job handling the crowds from the seminar I was attending. Good humor and service in spite of the # of people.

This was my first meal on vacation, and it was lovely to sit outside and watch the activity in the bay. I was glad someone warned me that San Diego in June is still very cool, so I had a sweater. I needed it. We had a lot of questions about the menu and the waitstaff was very helpful. The food was good.

Ate there Saturday afternoon...great people meeting experience and lots to watch..Food came out quite quickly and good tasting.Band started playing at 2.30pm and was a little too load ,so we could not continue talking..An easy fix for the future. We will go there again

The staff was not real friendly (most, there was one very good waitress). The location/view is great. The menu is ok

The restaurant is located just off the harbor, and next to a private lagoon. It has indoor and outdoor seating, and light/older rock music playing. The view and ambiance was quite nice, reminded me of several restaurants I've been to in the Caribbean islands. The food was good, typical California fare with a bit of a Caribbean twist. My only complaint was that it was bit pricey. One night I got a burger with bacon and an egg. It cost me $20. It was a fantastic, huge mess, but I could have gone down the road and gotten 8oz steak and potatoes for that price. Or got an entire meal with Uber Eats from a FANTASTIC Greek place. The lagoon was very cool. It has lots of big fish in it, a bright red star fish and even a leopard shark! It was a little weird that there was a public path running through the place, so there were random joggers running through while we ate.

Came for a brunch with friends and despite having a large party our servers were very accommodating. I had a good experience here. Food was good and the service was great

Carly was our server she was perfect, the weather was terrible but she still made our day!the stay here was awesome.

Professional service, nice food and great views. Well Worth a visit I had two lunch’s here, with a great choice of healthy food on offer. Nice choice of wines and beer. The bar is situated by the water edge, looking out over the bay, the bar has a pond area full of fish, fed by a small waterfall, surrounded by palms which adds a nice tropical feel.

KUDOS to CJ! My daughter and I came to celebrate her birthday lunch after spending a relaxing time at the spa. We enjoyed the newly revamped menu, and had trouble choosing the best entree, because it all looked so yummy. CJ made a few recommendations, we took him up on them, and we were very satisfied. We ordered the spinach and strawberry salad with goat cheese and pecans and the chicken sandwich. It certainly helped that the weather was stunning and the ambiance was so beautiful and relaxing. The restaurant was packed, but it didn't feel that way, probably because our table was on the edge of the patio. Our adult beverages were very refreshing as well.

I had a great cocktail and lunch afternoon at Barefoot Bar & Grill. We sat at the bar and Rafael was awesome! Every seat was filed and Rafael knew what each person was drinking and their food order. I ordered the Passionate Affair cocktail and it was amazing!!!! Sweet and fruity and perfect. That drink and Rafael's service made for a great afternoon. If I lived locally, I would come back frequently! We ordered lunch and that service was very slow. Apparently, the restaurant switched to a new menu with alot more options and the kitchen was not able to produce the dishes in a timely manner. Rafael's service still made it an awesome experience but expect to be there a while.

4 of us ate here and while it is in a great location with a great vibe when music is playing, none of us enjoyed our food. Well, the fries were good.

Had lunch here while on holiday in San Diego. Absolutely stunning spot with lively music and helpful staff. The food was reasonable but it’s the location that really swings it.

The food and drinks at Barefoot Grill & Bar were reasonable for a resort. The wait staff were attentive and there is an option to eat at the bar, outside or inside. Played great music. Appropriate for kids 8 years old and older.

Fun place to hang out with friends. Ask them about Herrold. This crazy bird will literally take food from your hands. :)

We visited the location on a sunny Sunday. There was live music and it was great fun. The wait line was rather long (about an hour) but after 10 minutes, they arranged us a table. Service was really friendly, quick and attentive. The chicken wings, poke ball was really tasty. The burger and nacho plate was just average. The local beat selection is rather good. The view is nice. Although some food items were just average, the view, service and music compensated for it.

The Barefoot Bar has the best views of Mission Bay. The waiters and waitresses are awesome and so is the food and cocktails!

So today I decided to be a tourist in my own city. I’ve heard that barefoot bar and Grill at Paradise point resort is by far amazing. The moment I stepped in I knew what people are talking about. And then when I sat down and my server greeted us took my breath away. CJ was the best ever I’ve had by far. I live in San Diego and I’m in the industry as well, so five stars to him. The restaurant as well best hokey pokey ever! Watermelon mule was the best mule I’ve had by far. The view is to die for, request CJ not only is he a great server, but he makes you feel at home, welcomed, like if I had been staying there. I’ll be back for sure!

Ate there for 3 days. Everything on the menu is excellent. The serving staff are friendly. They are nice to children.

Can’t say enough about the service and food! C.J., Zach and Chef Jen all went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. I was at a conference so my wife and dog had all day to explore and hang for a week. We found the Oysters Rock the Dockefeller - super! A little spicy. Baked oysters with tequila, Spanish chorizo, chipotle and more! Can’t say enough great things about them. We shared many orders. The Surfer Burito with eggs, bacon, sausage, fries, cheese, etc. in a tortilla was also a regular repeat. We’ll be back any time we’re in the San Diego area.

CJ at Barefoot is an awesome waiter. He hooked me up with some really delicious carne asada fries! They were insane. They have really great queso cheese here. Beautiful views, good food, and excellent service.

The menu is limited. Food was slow to come out, and took a long time to get the check. Location is nice.

This place is awesome!! C.J. was our server and he was amazing! Such a good service and he was so nice!! Definitely go here and ask for C.J!!

staff were personable. It is the same menu as the room service menu. Drinks, food and desserts were great. We used them for room service and also ate there one evening at sunset. Nice water location. Nice tv channel - Happy Town or Happy TV!

Good quantity, sometimes/not flavorful, expensive, nice people, and beautiful views. You better have a big appetite for the breakfasts!

Had several meals at this grill/bar, and was pleased by the quality of the food and by the prices. Not cheap, but better than some places that serve "captive audiences".

The food was good but nothing special. This is the only place open for breakfast at the resort so we dined here a couple of days. Would definitely make the 5-minute drive to The Broken Yolk for breakfast instead of eating here. For the same amount of money (even a little cheaper), you get a broader menu and better food at the Broken Yolk.

Dinner at the Barefoot Grill & Bar was delicious and super relaxing. I loved the view and outdoor setting, and the service was excellent. Thanks Derek and Jason!

Came here after picking up friend from the airport, sat at the bar area for snacks and a drink. CJ our waiter was sooo fun! Attentive, funny, and the food and drinks were good too! beautiful location, beautiful day. I hope he is still there when we return ;)

Four of us had drinks and lunch, great fruit sangria, tropical drinks, we split different plates, all were great. We were bike riding around the island and came across this place, a nice find!

Convenient if you're already at Paradise Point and surprisingly unlike typical in-hotel restaurants that have pricey, subpar menus. This was a fun location with tasty small plates and drinks and friendly service. The place was crowded when we arrived but had no problems getting seated and served quickly, with a beautiful bay view.

Visited this restaurant several times during our stay at Paradise Point Resort. All the food items for dinner were great and portion size was enough for two. The BBG Burger was nice and juicy and Shrimp Bowl was excellent. The Brussel Sprouts were perfectly cooked with enough crunchiness. The only item did not like was Chiliquiles for breakfast. Basically it was bowl full of tortillas with sauce drizzled on it. This made tortillas very soggy and taste was just one note of tomatoes.

We enjoyed a few wonderful breakfasts here, very well made and delicious. Tried the restaurant once for dinner, but since they don't have patio heaters and evenings had become quite chilly, we had to move indoors, and there was no ambiance. The clam chowder though was delicious! The wait staff that evening was a bit behind the curve.

I felt our drinks were pricey for what we got. Two ordered skinny margaritas and they were undrinkable-coconut water. Waitress did not ask why they were not drank.

It’s nice to dock your boat and the food and drinks are very good we eat there often. Last two time were not good. First time the hostess yelled at a couple for sitting at a large table. Very inappropriate. Second time we went for lunch as a party of five. The hostess told us we had to wait. It wasn’t a problem. We told her we would wait at the bar. We ordered around of drinks the bartender was grumpy and rude. We waited 30 minutes for a table and notice the hostess taking 6 people to a table. We asked why because we were waiting. In rude fashion the hostess stated we were not waiting by her podium “to bad” and walked away. What a shame we left immediately.

The food is really good and I had incredible service from CJ, he's so much fun - definitely ask for his section! I am on my second day at the resort and I have been there to eat three times (the nachos are amazing). I will definitely go back before heading home to Baltimore!

This is a must do for us when we are at mission bay. Stop and enjoy drinks and entertainment, or have a romantic dinner.

Avocado toast was excellent. Yogurt parfait was a nice breakfast. Salads were pretty good. Specials were horrible. I ate there for a few days and so I tried several things. Small bar is cute, but there is a long wait to get service. I would say that breakfast and lunch are far better than dinner. I would go off property or splurge on Tidal for dinner instead. Nice heaters on the large patio overlooking the harbor.

Service, food, and views were all wonderful! I would definitely one back and would recommend this restaurant to anyone. It was also kid friendly.

We had a couple meals here. The Brussel sprout appetizer was very good. The hamburger was just average, about what I'd find in a fast food place. My wife had a good salad. So a mixed bag.

CJ made us feel like family here and the hopsitality and happy service made our stay at Paradise Point even better and it was great. They need to put his hot toddy with hot tea on the menu! the food was delicious and lots of choices on the menu including healthy. We preferred sweet cocktails and burgers but there is something for everyone.

When you go to the Barefoot Bar and Grill, you must ask for the server named, Jessica. Outstanding Service! Would I recommend BBG to friends and family? - Yes. Why? Because of the delight found in Jessica's helpfulness, cheerfulness and authenticity. Some restaurant servers say, "My Pleasure", because they are trained to. Jessica does not need to say it, because her serving her customers is truly her pleasure. I had a problem with the sweet potato fries and she took them away, apologized profusely and took it off the bill. Next day, I asked if she would be able to serve just pulled pork and a fried egg without anything else and she said she would try. And she made it happen. I can eat in my room, on the porch, in the coffee house or in a restaurant. When I go to eat in a restaurant by myself, I want to eat, and I want somebody to be happy I am there. That's Jessica! She's ensuring I am eating well. She is happy I am at her table. She is happy to see me and to serve me. Well done Paradise Point! Jessica is batting a thousand.

Good food but lots of places have good food. Minus two stars for the weird billing practice of adding 6% to the check in support of minimum wage increases. A better way to support wage increases is to price your food at a level that allows the employees to be paid the proper amount. Passing wage increases onto your customers as an additional fee is just strange.

Waiter C J class act. He was on the ball knowledgeable of the new menu plus complimented the new Chef Jen with great respect. To Chef Jen pig bowl awesome colorful texture taste was epic yes folks this Chef gives this place these fine culinary staff 5 stars 2 thumbs up. To Chef Jen i honor you with THE WOODED SPOON great place

We had Mary and CJ the two times we ate here, but everyone was A+ with customer service. Be sure to check out the fish and sharks in the adjacent lagoon. So cool!

If you come to Paradise Poi t, you HAVE to visit the Barefoot Bar and Grill! CJ was our host and he is amazing!!!

Decent food, great drinks. Had breakfast only down side was no espresso so we had to walk to the store to get our coffee. Besides that food was fresh and fast.

This place has great tasting food, and drinks. It is quite pricey, and there is a wait, so be prepared. The server was also very friendly.

The outdoor dining area is right on the bay, an amazing setting for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Umbrellas for every table, inside dining also available and a bar. Great tropical drinks. The food is very good and the service is fast and friendly. Casual.

Great place for drinks, watch the game, and appetizers. Near the bay for some great walks and sunset views.

This is a very nice place with a great view of the bay. The service is OK and the food is OK. If you want to relax viewing the ocean and a small lagoon, while having breakfast, this is a good option

Upon arriving to the resort, I was hours early for check-in. I decided to wait at Barefoot for my room to be ready. I was escorted by golf car to the ocean front restaurant - what service! The bar tender introduced himself (Julio, I think), and was wonderful. Before I could order, a staffer informed my room was ready - two hours prior to posted check in time. But, I was excited to have a cocktail, so I ordered and enjoyed. The bar tender recommended the new Pork Bowl (rice, fresh pineapple, veggies, and grilled marinated pork). I ordered, and man alive was it flavorful and fresh. So delicious I cleared the entire plate.

Great place for food and drinks, excellent music, what a beautiful place right on the beach with great abeyance. We were a four top Mayson was are waiter great service this young man went out of his way, explained the hours of the band told us about Happy Hour. Excellent waiter, we had an incident spilled a drink and the busboy Isaac jumped into action cleaned up the table and then wiped the floor so it would not be sticky. When you receive excellent service it makes you want to come back often. Which we will

we ordered once in room delivery one night and second night we went to the restaurant and both nights the food was excellent. Location of the restaurant is five star and also the service. We strongly recommend anyone staying at Paradise Point to try this place.

Over all our experience today was great our servers went above and beyond, the ambiance is great there was live music and a beautiful view. The only down fall was the hostesses incompetence there were three girls working this afternoon and the only name I could get was Brissa (i don’t like to leave bad reviews unless I can get a name because the staff can always change but the restaurant gets stuck with the negative review for years) so this is mainly to bring attention to management that their front of the house staff is in dire need of a revamp. They sat us in the sun (3 children one infant), which is understandable on a busy summer day but once 8 tables around us in the shade had been open for about 30 minutes we went up to the front three separate times to ask to move. They kept telling us no and that people were waiting for them. After the third time going up and checking and the tables still remaining open we ended up just moving our own plates to the shaded area and finished our meal, the girls never noticed they just continued talking amongst them selves completely unaware of the restaurant. We enjoyed the music for another two hours, in that time only one of the original 8 shaded tables ended up being seated. Overall nothing to avoid the place over if your on vacation but as a local I won’t be going back with how awful the hostesses were.

Food wasn't very good but it the only affordable option at the Resort. Server staff was very nice though. I'd advise bringing your own food and drinks to your room.

Great location and friendly staff both for evening beverages and morning coffee. Steps away from the dock with water views.

The food was amazing and drinks were mixed perfectly. The history behind the place is pretty cool as well!

We loved this place. Great modern dishes, but some old favorites as well. The bowls are awesome. The wait time is terrible during lunch. They tell everyone "20 mins", when its really 45. Really irritating to see 8 empty tables just inside from patio. Other than that, I highly recommend for family and casual dining.

Food was good but you are paying for location. Close to marina and resort. Had a breakfast and dinner with guest and all were pleased.

As a vegetarian I only sampled the salad. The food quality was good and the signature cocktails were as well - I had the watermelon mule. Then I ordered a mojito and it was the worst thing I have ever tasted. The grill is mostly a patio facing the bay which is great. The staff is young and friendly. Pub food for sure.

Sunday brunch always gets very busy anywhere. First time here and will be back for sure! It was very busy but our server Charles was on point! It was everyones first time here but our server took his time in getting to know what we individually like, and not just throw what was popular. I recommend the Shrimp bowl with bacon and avocado. Will definitely be back.

Since staying at the resort, I’ve eaten there 4 times now. Breakfasts have a descent variety. I’ve been able to order something that caught my eye each day that was different from the last; this isn’t always the case. Mahi mahi special and poke bowl w quinoa were delicious! Service has been between good and great. Only complaint would be how chilly it can get when the sun goes down but what can you do? Beautiful views!

Locals told us to give BB & G a try for a quality breakfast with a nice atmosphere. It did not disappoint!! The food was amazing, the view was great and our waitress Javen was so fun and informative. Javen even gave us some great ideas how to spend the rest of the day as we were new to the area. We are back in the fall and we will be coming here again for sure with our request for Javen as our server a must!

We ate at Barefoot Grill three times during our stay at Paradise Resort. Breakfast was plentiful and very good. I had fish tacos for lunch one day and they were very tasty. And I love me some fish tacos! And then we lunch one other time and shared a hamburger. Was quite yummy and big enough for two of us to share. The staff was very helpful and divided our meal for us.

I can’t say I’ve had better service! First time in San Diego in decades and CJ had amazing recommendations inside the resort & outside!

Loved the location and view from the outside bar. Food was good. The bartender at the outside bar, on my first day at the resort was awesome!

A friend was in town and she wanted lunch on the beach. We happened upon this place and had a wonderful time. My chicken sandwich was rather dry but she loved her tuna sandwich. The view was gorgeous and our sever CJ was perfect! I'll definitely return soon and try some of the other food!

The black bean burger hand made patty was excellent. The Epic Vegan Bowl was excellent as well. Friendly staff and waterfront tables - terrific value for your resort dollars.

Ive eaten here a few times over the years and the quality is better and better. The service is what makes the difference as well, always nice bartenders and servers. I wish the band played til later on in the night on Sundays.

Excellent views across the water, with options to sit inside or out, the food and drinks were a bit pricey, but very nice, on more than one occasion I had to ask several times on the where-abouts of my drink when the bar and food area wasn't very busy and there was plenty of staff mostly just standing around!

Avoid the waitress Kaitlyn - she is the worst server we have ever had. The manager, Pablo, offered no solutions. They should both be fired.

We mainly used this place because we are a captive audience, it being sited on the resort we were staying in. Having tried the food on previous visits we avoided it this time as it was reasonable but overpriced. We just used to come for a drink before heading back to our room for the night. It was lacking in atmosphere and the drinks were also on the pricey side. Would I recommend it? Yes, if you are staying at paradise point and don’t mind paying over the odds for your meal and drinks but I would not go out of my way to dine here if I was not within walking distance. It’s a shame because with a bit of imagination and enthusiasm it could be a really good please to spend a balmy Californian evening.

The food there was amazing and our waiter CJ was great and funny, it was a great time and cant wait to go there agian someday. I highly recommend going here.

This is the main restaurant on the grounds of the Paradise Bay Resort. If you want to eat breakfast on-site this is where you go. The service was great. However, everything we ordered over 3 visits came out cold and rubbery. They have a black-crowned night heron that hangs out around the tables - watch your food or he will grab it.

Enjoyed the bar while staying at Paradise Point. Bar staff were relaxed but attentive and the food was very acceptable, tuna salad was beautiful, especially with added shrimp! Makes for a very relaxed evening.

We are staying at the resort so went for breakfast. They are very understaffed. There was a manager type person that kept yelling at the staff, “we need runners!” The food was not good. My daughter had avocado toast and the bread was cold. They didn’t even attempt to toast it. The waiter was very nice and did offer to replace it. He took it off the bill. My husband have an omelette with mushrooms that were probably sautéed very long before the omelette was prepared. The omelette was very dry as if it had been sitting under a warmer for some time. It was room temperature. My daughter had blueberry pancakes that were made with old berries instead of fresh. Blueberries are in season so there is no reason not to have fresh berries at a place like this. I had oatmeal which was fine. Would not go back for a 60$ breakfast that was very bad. The view was nice.

We went to Barefoot Grill & Bar on a busy Saturday after the 4th of July. I'm so glad we were seated with CJ being our server! We were hungry after our flight and he grabbed us the chips and salsa ( a bit spicy but amazing!!!) and we asked him to bring us something fun for our drinks. He nailed it! I still don't don't what we had but it was really great...mine had strawberry and my daughter had mango...and there was whipped cream! For lunch I ordered the fish and chips and she had the chicken (with avocado and bacon). The fries are magic and food was wonderful! My daughter is getting married there and I asked CJ if I could request him to serve for us...so we'll see if I get to have him be a server for us again! He was wonderful and truly took such good care of us. I highly recommend Barefoot Grill & Bar...and ask for CJ!

Overlooking the water surrounded by water it really is a stunning location, breakfast seating and service is painfully slow. Food is of good quality, very casual dining.

We were here all week and came back multiple time. CJ was the perfect host. Great fun and great advice. Told us where to go and we had an awesome time. Thanks so much!

If you're looking for a great place to stay on your vacation, you definitely want to stay at Paradise Point Resort! The Barefoot Bar and Grill was amazing and CJ's service went far above and beyond what I would usually expect at an establishment like this. Because of my experience here, I will definitely stay at Paradise Point again. You guys just earned a very loyal customer!!!

The view was so beautiful with such a relaxing atmosphere! I had the Classic Barefoot Burger. It was delicious!! Peter and Keshia had really great customer service! They were both super friendly and checked on me just enough to make sure I was set. I would definitely recommend Barefoot Grill!

We enjoyed Barefoot bar for Breakfast, lunch, and dinner while staying at Paradise Point. While pricey, the food was great and the service and atmosphere was outstanding. It was fun watching boats dock to come in for dinner. Bring a jacket in the evenings as it does cool down quickly.

I went to Barefoot on Tuesday and it was such a great experience. I had CJ as my server and he was absolutely amazing and great to interact with. The setting of the restaurant is absolutely perfect and a great place to sit back and enjoy a refreshing Pina Colada, which was so delicious. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Very professional , helpful & fun staff. Especially Joe, the beverage manager! Good menu, good food & fast service.

The food and the view are truly fantastic!! We had fresh seafood and top shelf drinks. The people watching from the upstairs balcony rail were great as well.

Restaurant within the resort. We ate breakfast here three times and dinner once. Food was always great and service was top notch. Fell in love with their Açaí bowl and the salmon was cooked perfectly and the location is nice too.Prices seem a bit high to include the add on’s to support various overhead costs that they make you aware of as they are passing it onto the customer (The higher minimum wage increase so there is a percentage added onto each bill) . The additional costs are only reason it doesn’t get a 5.

Beyond Meat vegan burger! With gluten-free bun!! Yes.... Great view, lovely with heaters, and kind staff.

We had great burgers, girlfriend had the veggie one, she was also very pleased. Overal good food for US standards, very kind staff.

Great service and very helpful and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. Helped some North Dakotans find their beach happiness.

We stopped into this place twice while we were on property at the Paradise Point Resort. So nice to have a place like this that you can walk to and enjoy lunch/dinner at while you stay. Plenty of brew/drinks to choose from and the food was great as well. Scenery is nice as well as it sits on the bay.

Excellente! Great to be outside enjoying good food and drink. Thanks to CJ for the wonderful service and highest compliments on the quality of the food (i.e. - Brussels sprouts, nachos and the Final Cut pizza). Barefoot Bar is back and better than ever.

I went with some of my friends last week and we have so much fun they have a great customer service, and amazing view. The food is so Good. Service industry needs more people like CJ

I had brought my dog who is new to traveling with me and I was able to have her with me on the Patio. I had dinner and the breakfast there. Food was good and it was convenient.

I guess it's to be expected that a resort would have a pricey restaurant, but this is basically an outdoor sports bar. The view is lovely, the service is good and I actually enjoyed it more than it's super pricey sister next door. The gnarly nachos were great, so were the margaritas. Again, $9 for a small bowl of kid's Mac and cheese (left uneaten by both girls) is excessive. But again, I guess it's location and convenience. At least be there for sunset!

The service was excellent, food great, scenery incomparable. I brought my dog to see the fish, she loved it

The front desk gal recommended the Barefoot Grill and I am so happy so she did . We got sat in CJ’s section and he made our experience amazing ! He is so hospitable and gave us some great recommendations for some great local spots . We even got to watch him feed the sharks, so cool !!! The have a live musician playing , amazing views and plenty of out door seating . We will be back ! Oh and I highly recommend the nachos , you won’t regret it !

Had breakfast one morning at Barefoot Grill and Bar. It is a picturesque spot overlooking the water with sailboats, crew shells, and boats cruising past. Breakfast was great - service excellent. Altogether, a really pleasant experience.

Food was fine but overpriced. Service too rushed - we felt like they wanted us out quickly. Our main course arrived whilst eating our starters. Then whilst half way through the main course the waitress asked if we wanted to order dessert. Wouldn't return.

My husband and I decided to do a last minute staycation at Paradise Point resort and had the best time! We went to the Barefoot Bar & Grill where we met C.J., who was the most fun server ever! This guy knows his stuff. Not only is he attentive to detail regarding the menu, but he is also super funny! We laughed so hard the whole time we were there! So awesome that we came back for every meal! Made us feel like the most important people in the restaurant. Thank you, C.J.!

Went there for breakfast. Not worth the visit. We asked for a yoghurt, fruit and granola breakfast and were offered two plastic cups for 15 USD which we then politely declined. Cheap orange juice marked as Fresh. Bad coffee, though that is not unusual. Poor menu and overpriced and there are many better options nearby close to the beach. Quality of the offer not in line with the price range of the resort. Quite disappointing actually.

Barefoot Grill and Bar is a great spot in San Diego. Its location on the bay, filled with palm trees, makes you immediately feel like you are on vacation in Hawaii. They have bar seating and tables outdoors. There is often live music and drink specials. I love the burger and the nachos.

Maybe a bit pricey for a family of four, but worth it to me. I appreciate great sit dow dinners. Sunday even had a live band. Nice! Pizza shop next door is great if you are on a budget. Oh, but the pizza service SUCKs. They’re very grumpy over there - probably pissed off watching their neighbor score the big tips. A smile might go further.

Thank you Giovanni you were so much fun and gave great advice from food to attractions! You're awesome!

Nice laid back spot directly on the water. Great atmosphere to enjoy a meal or drinks. My husband and I visit several times a year and always enjoy ourselves and the salt water inlet with fun fish. Found an moray eel during our last visit. Servers are polite and just enough service that your needs are met but you're not tired of them checking in.

Great selection, if a bit overpriced but the food was delicious and the view of the Bay was stunning. Ambiance is amazing

Tuesday afternoon-Our group, over 8 of us came for lunch. After waiting to be seated, we sat ourselves. Needing 3 tables to be pushed together, we seniors were left to do it ourselves, all help disappeared. As heavy as they were we also moved the heavy umbrellas that were with each table. After all were seated THEN one of the servers showed up to say he wanted to move one of the umbrellas to (ended up being an empty table) leaving 2 of our party in the sun. worst yet the rude waiter put the umbrella by a table that was already under a big canvas shading it. * Food was ok but they added 18% tip and 3.5 % service charge automatic to bill. NEVER again..

Breakfast, lunch & dinner were super yummy. The view was outstanding and the fish, shark add to the overall tropical feel

what can yo say about like this apart from absolutly fantastic staff so helpfull and polite suronding a little tired maybe but no complaints it clean great bar great food sitting at side of river watching all the fish sharks tuna all sorts plenty of wild life ducks birds and of course the resident carricter HARROLD he is BLACK CROWNED HERRON who seams to think he ownes the bar he sits the just watching till time to eat the he just wanders amoungst the tables waiting for tipbits ammazing not bad word to say about BAREFOOT GRILL BAR

I had so much fun here. The food was great, great drinks and awesome service. CJ was super friendly and very attentive. Funny too! Wings were the best.

I was here for three days for a conference. This was one of two main options for food. I ate here twice, both for lunch. My first experience wasn’t award winning. I ordered the bruschetta chicken sandwich. It was ok, but cold. Service was slow and my drink wasn’t refilled until I asked for my bill and a beverage to-go. Second time there was much better. I asked for a smaller hamburger patty (1/2 pound is just way too much meat for me!) and was told I could sub a kid’s patty. That was perfect! The sweet potato fries were great. We also had very good service. The views from the pier were beautiful and they have heat lamps if needed.

Food is just ok, service is shockingly poor and the whole place is grubby and unmanaged. Prices are through the roof which is fine as long as you receive good food and good service, but unfortunately you’ll receive neither here.

Very relaxing good view, Paradise Point Resort brings back many memories of weddings, business meetings just a wonderful place to have a good time.

We came while staying at Paradise Point. The wait was a little while, but the food was absolutely worth the wait. Very tasty Mac n cheese and French fries!

We did brunch there and the food is finally amazing!! We’ve been coming for years and never liked their restaurant, but breakfast was to die for!!

Casual dining at the Paradise Point Resort with seating outside on the waterfront. Delicious poke, apparently ranked 3rd in San Diego. Wide selection of menu items, we had the catch of the day, sea bass with mushroom risotto and veggies and the sirloin with Mac & cheese cake & veggies. Dishes had a good flavor, a pinch too much salt on the fish & risotto, and unfortunately the fish was over cooked and dry as well as the risotto, which was a very stiff thick rice. Steak was cooked to the right temp but the Mac & cheese cake was dry & over cooked. Would return to have a cocktail & app & enjoy the view.

We went here twice; once for drinks, and then to eat dinner. We sat on the patio first, and really enjoyed that. The interior is a bit plain, but it was cold outside, so we went inside, for dinner. The food and the service was good.

Nice place by the water, simpel menu - nothing special but good service. Live Music is often on Sundays. Happy hours every day

Our waiter, CJ, was great, very personable and helpful. He recommended what to add to each of the salads ordered and all were delicious. The strawberry fields with salmon, summer lovin' peach with chicken and the chipotle Caesar with shrimp.

Really nice guy, remembers you & greets You “Welcome back” great service & great Cocktails. My favorite bartender there for Some time! I think there’s a new manager!? Jessica the waitress is Fab too. Thank you

We went to this restaurant on most days on our recent trip to San Diego. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was great - loved all of the menu but breakfast was amazing. Inside or outside tables with great views outside nice californian music playing they even had a band there one day which sadly we missed! Couldnt recommend it enough! Great Place!

Was fortunate enough to be staying at this resort on business. Wanting to unwind I went to the Barefoot Bar and Grill. That day the weather was a bit gloomy and rainy. It didn't affect the staff there or my attitude when I arrived. I was provided with a warm blanket and great service at the bar by Giovanni.

Miss Keshia from Barefoot Bar and Grill Restaurant is a professional and excellent waitress. Always kind, joyful and we like her a lot. We feel she does love her work. It is always a pleasure to see her and we are asking for her. Please recognize her great effort. We will visit Barefoot Bar and grill today again and we will ask for her. Thank you very much Keshia!

Lovely breakfast overlooking the sea.Pancakes were very tasty. It wasn't cheap, but loved seeing the wildlife so close.

We had lunch at Barefoot Grill & Bar and enjoyed the relax atmosphere, the nice view, friendly staff and great tasting fresh fish. We ordered the Mahi Mahi Sandwich; Fish Tacos; hamburger with fries. For several years, when we came to Paradise Point, we would stopped by for lunch and each time did not disappoint.

I meet friends here every couple of months to enjoy a leisurely lunch. CJ, with his sense of humor, is welcoming, and it’s fun to watch the birds, sailboats, and sea life. One forgets how lucky we are that this lovely spot on Mission Bay is available to us locals.

Good fries, good acai bowl, everything here is pretty basic, nothing to write home about, but easy and nice to stay on property. Good Bloody Mary!

The location is the biggest draw here. Beautiful views of the bay. Nice spot to enjoy a drink and the sunset. Kids loved the smoothies. Overall good eats. Enjoyed breakfast and dinner there. The avocado toast breakfast was great as was the key lime tart dessert. Overall a little pricey, but somewhat expected as part of a resort.

My grandson and I decided to have a late lunch here. The place is right on the bay side so it was very relaxing. The server was friendly and helpful, as well as attentive. Since it was the off season the place was not crowded. The prices are a little higher, I think $17,00 for a hamburger, but this is a resort. The food was good and portions were a nice size. We enjoyed our food and the atmosphere. We will most likely be back.

Ate at the Barefoot Bar and grill with family for my daughters 3rd birthday. CJ was our waiter and he was great. Great personality and wonderful service. Ate by the waterfall and fed the fish. Truely paradise

We had a nice dinner here - a pork terriyaki bowl that was very tasty, and enjoyed a relaxing and yummy breakfast on the outdoor patio.

Came for breakfast while waiting on our room at Paradise Point. Our server Stacy was phenomenal, and so accommodating. She served our small group with the biggest smile and tended to whatever we needed while checking on us constantly. We had the Oceanside omlet and the Del Mar omlet with some modifications, and both were delicious. I would also recommend the mimosa flight. Very tasty.

Very overpriced for the food that you get. My son ordered the "black and blue", which is a steak with blue cheese. $30 and you couldn't even chew it because it was so tough. The rest of our food was just as bad! The view is amazing, but the food is overpriced and terrible

We were staying on the property so this was the best option for our first morning. I ordered breakfast off the menu, whereas others in my party ordered the breakfast buffet, and it seems like ordering off the menu was the better option. While the prices were a bit high, the quality of the food and coffee were just what we wanted, and the service was absolutely fabulous. I specifically asked our waitress for her name, because I wanted to be sure to recognize her for her service. Jenisha was helpful, friendly and quick to anticipate our needs before we even realized, bringing us extra coffee, water, cream, etc. She was an absolute gem!

This cafe is located on the Paradise point property with many cabins to stay. It is on the water at a boat marina. Very good lunch menu and quite tasty. Good drinks also. Seems popular.
Amazing Service!
AMAZING!!!! FROM THE STAFF to DESSERT...a WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE. Took my parents here while they were visiting. Great vibe overall. Service was on point!!!!!! Charles was the best! We will be back very very soon!
