We weren't familiar with Indonesian Food, so we asked the lady at the counter for some suggestions. Everything she suggested was incredible, but the Ikan Bakar was especially good.

There are few Indonesian restaurants in Atlanta area, but this is my favorite. Authenticity is what make this place unique and good. Not a typical place to take your family if you have never eaten Indonesian food before. If that is the case order of the menu. My favorite is the tofu and green beans in coconut curry broth. Perfectly seasoned and with a hint of spice.

We would probably eat here every night if it weren't on the other side of town for us. We absolutely love the food and are thrilled that it is authentic Indonesian. This is one of our favorites and we are here at least once every few weeks even though it is about 20 miles away. We cannot recommend it enough.

I visited on Sunday and ordered a 3 entree plate with rice cafeteria style for $5.99. The food was very good, fresh and large quantities. The service was excellent and the meal was a great value for the price. I will certainly visit again soon.

My favorite cuisine. It is worth the trip. Described by some as a hole in the wall but in fact it is very similar to a place you would visit in Indonesia; simple decor, dry goods grocery plus hot food. Absolutely everything we tried was authentic and tasty. Added bonus, I was able to stock up on Kapal Api coffee and other hard to find Indo products.

Passing by this place everyday, I got the notion one day to venture in. It's a mixed market plus restaurant. While there is a generous menu, I opted for the lunch buffet which had plenty of options both veggie and meat. I chose the beef, fried brown rice, and cabbage. All were delicious, with yellow curry added to the rice, and the portions very generous. Looking forward to another lunch and a dinner!

The food is authentic and the people that run the place are Indonesian. The food was good but not as good as Tempo Doeloe which is right around the corner.

The place is a bit difficult to find for person from other states. The place is pretty big with Indonesian grocery inside it. But even though it is said as Indonesian restaurant but it doesn't really bring Indonesian atmosphere inside it. They do have Indonesian food cafetaria style or if in Indonesia we called it Warung/depot food, not a fancy one. They also has some special Indonesian food as Nasi Bakar, Mie Ayam, Nasi Uduk etc. We tried the cafetaria style, taste is average if you know how to cook Indonesian food. BUt they do have small but great Indonesian grocery. You can find some items that will not be available in oriental grocery. Some authentic Indonesian tempeh and snack are available. Price is a good deal

My family and I have been coming here for several years to get a taste of the Indonesian food we've missed since leaving Indonesia. The hot food menu is extensive and there is a small grocery store-worth of prepared Asian specialties (e.g., krupuk, weird canned drinks with solids in them, coconut cookies, etc,), and specials, but I always get the $5.99 rice and three--a huge serving of white rice with a choice of various fish, vegetable, chicken, and beef dishes. I love it. The place is nothing fancy, but comfortable and the owner and staff are super nice. There are other places around town with tasty Indonesian or Malaysian food, but they remind me of Jakarta or Kuala Lumpur about as much as Taco Bell reminds me of Mexico City.

The foods are not only authentic but they are also affordable. The Rendang was my favorite one, not too spicy and the meat was so tender and juicy. Everyone should come and taste it. Great service too!

The food is really good but the beef rendang was not as I had expected. The grocery store within the restaurant was a real winner. They sold Gula Melaka or Gula Jawa, petai, a very stinky vege ( that's loved by SE Asians), ondeh-ondeh (much-loved dessert). And loved their friendliness. The location was not a winner for me. A bit dodgy.

It doesn't convincing from the outside. But it's trully represent Indonesian food that I miss. Even the culture :p (No one greeted you when you entered the place and you just picked whichever seat available. The food is vibrant in flavors and still make your wallet happy.) Hubby said that the fried rice tasted like the one he ate in Indonesia. The best ever. I personally ordered many things, from their order menu and their buffet style. And i guaranteed it's 100% Legit. They also have a small shop to buy indonesian goods.

Came here for lunch with the family and I have to say, this place rocks. Very Very I mean Very large portions. I did the $5.99 rice and three choices one. The beef redang and chicken curry with egg plants. Very good balance of spices and flavor. The portions are so big I had to take the rest home for dinner. Staff very friendly and kind. I fed the whole family, 4, for $19. Their Roti flat bread was very good as well. Will come back again.

Back in the Philippines, we would call unassuming eateries like this "carinderias" where an array of cooked dishes are laid out in front you to choose from. We have not had Indonesian food since we moved here and I've been missing my favorite Nasi Goreng so much! After our monthly trip to the BuHi Farmer's Market, decided to have dinner here. Naturally, we ordered shrimp nasi goreng and different kinds of satay made to order, chicken rendang, a bittermelon dish and another chicken viand I forget the name of (my husband is a chicken nut) and a thai iced tea. Since the nasi goreng and satay were made to order, we started with the other three viands with a mountain of rice. Loved the chicken rendang and the bittermelon dish that reminded me of home. But what we loved even more was the nasi goreng! They did serve us the wrong combination of satay but we didn't mind since everything was good. We had chicken, beef and lamb. I recommend the lamb, it was so tasty! Having thai iced tea was so refreshing to have with spicy and flavorful dishes too. Everything we ordered was just about $25, what a good deal! They're open til 2AM and I am definitely making them my go-to midnight meal place from here on out! I really love places like this, no frills, just good, authentic, inexpensive food.

After being friends with several people in Indonesia for years, I finally had an opportunity to get a taste of their culture at this place. Not only were the employees extremely helpful, they were also kind and personable - it was wonderful just to chat with them while shopping and during check out. According to my Indo friends they had a wide range of great products very popular in Indonesia. For those of you wondering, yes - they do carry a good variety of Indomie! And then I got to the restaurant itself. I never knew what I was missing when it comes to fried rice. They say that Indo's fried rice (nasi goreng) is different than any other fried rice around the world - and they are right - it's a MUST if it's your first time trying Indonesian food. I had, and highly recommend, the fried rice with lamb (nasi goreng kambing). Their cold thai tea was delicious as well - it could very well be considered a dessert it was such a treat! Almost like an orange creamsicle tea. I also tried the rendang, which if you've ever watched the Food Network is considered by many to be one of the tastiest foods in the world! I would liken it to shredded beef in thick and rich sauces and seasonings. I can't rave about this place enough! If you're in the mood for Chinese or Japanese food but want to try something different, this is the place for you. Not too foreign or unusual compared to our "norm" here in the states, but just enough of a different experience to make it unique. I'll be back for sure - the next time I'm even close to Atlanta!

Loved the restaurant setting which reminiscent of Indonesian "Waroeng". The good is exactly like it's supposed to taste. Very authentic. The "tempeh penyet" is my favorite, along with the Padang dish, all Javanese dish and Satay dish. And their desserts are great. Always have to stop here when we pass by Atlanta.

This restaurant has good variety of food selections. Good volume with a reasonable price. Also, they sell some authentic Indonesian groceries..... In addition, the lady who served us was very friendly.

As a kid I used to eat Indonesian food all the time. In my adult years I haven't been as fortunate. So I tend to seek out this cuisine during my many travels. So during my recent trip to Atlanta, I had to look for this type of cuisine. I found two, both in less than 1 mile area. I went one the first on my list, but that didnt work out too well (leaving that for its own review), so I went to Batavia instead....and I was not disappointed. As I walked in I saw that they had a grocery section, which I basically raided on my way out :) I also noticed they had a buffet, but I opted to get food from the menu. If I had another day, I wouldve tried out the other dishes on the buffet. We had about 5 dishes, and the price was way cheaper than it would've been at the other restaurant. I asked about them not having a rice table (its like a smorgasbord of Indonesian dishes for two or more). They said they would have it soon. Regretfully not soon enough for me to have that :) I recommend this place based on the price, the friendly server and the amazing dishes.

If you have never eaten Indonesian food this would be a great way to learn the different and mouth watering cuisine that they offer. Everything thing was perfectly prepared and served quickly in generous portions. The wait staff is willing to take the time to explain the different foods and guide you in your choice.

Good restaurant if you want good Indonesia food. Decent price. I tend to spent too much money here buying too much food but it is so good. Service was quick. But it is a mom and pop kinda joint.
Best Indonesian Restaurant in town
Love this place! Authentic Indonesian at a decent price. Rendand beef is my favorite here. It taste just like what I would have growing up. Highly recommended!
