Ambiance and service is great, food I find mediocre. Red sauce very thick n flavour, pasta over cooked. If you’ve very visited the HOLE it’s worth it

Since 1970

Probably my least favorite meal when in Vegas. The menu was somewhat limiting. The food was uninspired. The service however was solid and efficient. No regrets going to Battistas as it’s a Las Vegas classic restaurant and it was a stones throw from the Flamingo Hotel where we had tickets to see Wayne Newton. Battista’s is actually very charming inside and I love the layout of the restaurant. The outside signage is beautiful. The strip mall quality of the restauraunt is colorful with a shady looking dive bar on the corner with 3 security guards at the entrance. My only real problem was the food which was just mediocre. I ordered the steak Caruso which was actually pretty tender but the sauce and the pasta were just ok. My wife got chicken parm. We split calamari and a desert. 4 out of 5 stars.

Well worth a visit while you're in Las Vegas. Make a reservation.

From a business point of view, this place is genius. Provide wine, garlic bread, soup or salad, main and a cappuccino for a single price. We pictured a kitchen with hundreds of pre-pared salads and a 50 gallon vat of soup. By not having a list of appetizers or any variety to the soup and salad, they have streamlined their system to the point of genius. I was very impressed with that aspect of the experience. Front desk was a little jaded but once seated, service was impeccable. One of our party ordered a chicken dish where the chicken was too pink; it was remade instantly and graciously. The decor and ambiance were terrific. The only thing keeping this as a 4 star rather than 5 star was that the food was 4 star and not 5 star. Nothing wrong with that, it was delicious but it wasn't 5 star food.

Always Good Food, Always Fun

By LonestarSpartan |

We always make it a point to stop by Battista's Hole in the Wall when in Vegas. It's like stepping back in time. The food is good and the service is outstanding. It was late when we stopped in without a reservation, so we sat at the bar. The Bartender, Diana, was great. She made us feel right at home and had the bar running like a well oiled machine. She's been there 19 years which tells you a lot about the place. We ordered a side of Meatballs and the Italian Salad to share. We also ordered a liter of the house red wine, a Burgundy style blend. The meatballs, 3 of them, were fantastic. The house wine is always good and at a good price. We would definitely recommend Battista's if you are looking for a change of pace and a trip to old time Italy. Always a fun time!

Wonderful meals, quick service, generous portions!

By Jackie H |

After a long day at a conference we attended, dinner here hit the spot! Once seated (very short wait for a table), they immediately started us off with delicious slices of bread and both red and white wine. I enjoyed the salad and Shrimp with garlic sauce. Everyone had generous portions for the meals they choose. Food came out quickly and hot. At the end of the meal they served complimentary hot chocolate to everyone, but I was so full I couldn't enjoy it.

Don't Miss a chance at a Meal at Battista when in Las Vegas

By Randy C |

this was probably my 3rd or 4th time at Battista's. It was the first time for my other 6 friends. It is a totally wonderful family atmosphere. The staff was kind of quirky, but so nice and friendly. The food tasted like you were in the home of an Italian family. It was the highlight meals of our trip to Las Vegas (and probably our cheapest!). Don't miss this place for a good, solid relaxing Italian meal.

Battista’s: The True Toast of Las Vegas

By Roman K |

Battista’s Hole in the Wall has been on my must-do list every time I visit Las Vegas. I have been coming here since the early 1990s, and it has never disappointed me. During our most recent trip in December 2025, I was convinced I had made a reservation, but I later realized I had accidentally copied a reservation from a previous year into my calendar and thought it was current. When we arrived at the restaurant and learned they did not have our reservation, my heart sank. Battista’s is always busy, even on a Monday, which is when we visited. The manager could not have been kinder. She listened, understood the situation, and found a way to squeeze us in without a reservation. After I realized my mistake, I went back to apologize for the mix up and thanked her sincerely for helping us. Her professionalism and willingness to accommodate us showed exactly why this restaurant has such a loyal following. It was a perfect example of putting customers first and I appreciated it more than I can say. As always, the food was outstanding and the service was top notch. Battista’s has a way of making every visit feel special, and this experience only strengthened our tradition of dining here every time we are in town. Thank you, Battista’s, for keeping our streak alive and for continuing to be one of the true classics of Las Vegas. You are the Toast of The Town!

Great spot

By David D. |

The date is wrong. I was there in the 70s when living in Vegas. Always great food and slightly away from the Strip. Great after dancing at the Skyroom at the Flamingo.

Food fabulous-seating process a nightmare

By Alison K |

The food was absolutely fantastic. And the service once we sat down was excellent. The biggest problem was that despite booking a large table for a Wedding weeks in advance, they rudely would not seat us until all 40 people were present. Don’t really understand why they couldn’t seat us when 32 of us were already there, considering the traffic in Las Vegas is horrendous. Our booking was from 7 PM to 9 PM. We were not seated till 730.

Really good food - great value for money!!

By Boneym42 |

We went as a family of four, booked a table for 8, seated almost immediately. The staff were lovely, so attentive. We even challenged each other to see if we could drink a glass of water before the waiter came to refill - we couldn’t!! From our experience the price was pretty standard for Vegas, but included, starter, garlic bread, wine, cappuccino and a very big plate of pasta. Couldn’t fault it - sooooo nice. Limited menu ( but nice) but that was fine with us, we always take too long to choose anyway!!! Top of our list if we go to Vegas again!!!

A delightful experience.

Battista's is about being in an experience--shared by celebrities and thousands of others over the years. It's fun seeing the pictures on the wall of people who have dined here over the last 50+ years. It's comfy. It's "down home" and not pretentious. Be sure to go with friends or family--or at least as a couple. It's a place where our reservation was honored to the minute. Staff hustle to serve the guests. Make one or two choices of what you'll eat, and whether you want red or white wine...then sit back and enjoy dinner conversation as your meal progresses. Is the Italian food the best in the world? No, but it's good. Is the house wine you're served the finest? No, but you won't care--as you pour from carafes into little comfortable glasses. We've been enjoying this Las Vegas experience with for 20+ years. Here, we've always ended our meals with smiles. We'll be back.

Not a MUST GO WHEN IN LAS VEGAS!

By Linda N |

35 years ago, on our first visit, the FAMILY STYLE dining and concertina player were AMAZING. Have been here 2 other times since. This past visit was THE BOMB, in a bad way. Dear Batista's...your atmosphere is always fun to look at but you need GREAT FOOD to go along with it. A little seasoning in all your dishes will go far. STOP CUTTING CORNERS AND COME UP WITH A NEW PLAN!

Best Italian meal in vegas

By Tiff2904 |

We had a meal here last night. Our servers Richard & Lorenzo were great no waiting very attentive ..I had the Battista’s Creamy Garlic Lobster and Shrimp this was probably one of the best pasta dishes I have ever had so reasonable comes with starter garlic bread and unlimited wine fair enough the wine wasn’t the best but as free with meal definitely wasn’t bad. My husband had minestrone soup delicious just as his Italian nan used to make and chicken parmigiana also lovely .. if I had more time here would definitely return .. highly recommend will definitely return on next visit and recommend to any one from uk visiting.. Thank you

Throwback family style Italian at a good value.

By Tim M |

We loved the history and ambience. The service was excellent. We had a reservation and were seated less than 1 minute after giving our name. We loved the history and ambience. The service was excellent. We had a reservation and were seated less than 1 minute after giving our name. We were immediately brought water and welcomed. We liked that It felt like eating at a cozy family style restaurant and not some high end chic restaurant. Really enjoyed all the old photos and decor. Very homey and lots of food for the “all-in” price. My wife got the cannelloni and I got the Chicken Rio. Both were very good. They did need some salt and pepper but I prefer to add myself, than it be over seasoned. I saw several reviews that the food was not good. It reminded me of a really nice dish you would cook at home. The cappuccino was more like hot chocolate but with the whip cream, it hit the spot! The wine was an inexpensive house wine but it was included. There is a full wine list if you want something better. Go and enjoy the ambiance and history. We recommend for the atmosphere, service and value.

Very dissatisfied

By Dennis S |

We had reservations made several days in advance which they lost. We had proof of the reservation on our phone which made little difference. We had to wait an additional thirty minutes before being seated. It took another 20 minutes to be waited on. The meals were at best mediocre. Below acceptable temperatures and lacking on flavor. Presentation was fine. Throughout the evening our server was not the most attentive. We left very disappointed and will never return. It’s too bad as this establishment came very highly recommended. Somebody needs to go in and straighten things out as we have heard similar reviews from friends and family. It seems the restaurant is relying on a name rather than quality. Too bad.

Mediocre At Best Food

By B2020G |

The food was mediocre at best from salads that were prepared hours in advance which were crushed by another salad bowl nestled on top of each other to garlic bread that was on the stale side to lasagna that had no flavor. In these days & times service would be considered very good. Kitschy decorations were interesting but certainly overdone with B-list celebrity photos from the 1970's. For the food/service that we received the prices were on the higher side. We really wanted to like the place. This was our first visit after seeing the manager or owner on the local news station complaining how the Formula One race in Las Vegas was taking it's toll on his business and as a small business owner ourselves we went out of our way to find this "hole in the wall" eatery. I suspect their business troubles are more internal than created by an outside source like the F-1 Race especially when you factor in they are only open for FOUR HOURS a day. What restaurant, especially a restaurant in Las Vegas is only open for four hours? Unfortunately we will not be back.

Loved it

By yvonne c |

Super value and enormous portions. I had cheese ravioli- so good. Spaghetti and meat balls and lasagna equally tasty. Service was great and atmosphere very Italian. Popular place so you should make a reservation. They stop serving at 9:30 pm. I will make a point to dine here next time in Vegas.

Popular For A Reason

By PhotoDudeIII |

A very popular Italian restaurant hidden behind the Flamingo. Not hard to see why its so popular - relatively low cost, half-decent food, and a cool decor. Every meal is almost a flat fee - and you get an appetizer (soup or salad), enough garlic bread to feed a family of ten, your meal, a cappuccino, and free house wine. So it is a good value. Is the food amazing? No. It is good, but not mind-blowing. Now in fairness, I’ve only eaten there once, so haven’t tried various dishes. So please take my judgement on the food with a grain of salt. So maybe the food won’t blow your mind, but what do you want for $42 per person (for veal)? The decor is great, the service speedy, and you can walk out spending a $100 for dinner for two, which is pretty impressive in Vegas.

Not good Italian food, but a good place to give up a bunch of money!

By Quackerwacker |

So disappointed. Went there on a recommendation. Honestly, I’ve had better Italian food at Olive Garden. When you factor in high prices and $20 up charge per person to split a meal, service and ambiance was good. So 2 stars for that. Will not go there again.

Awesome rehearsal dinner at Battista’s Hole in the Wall!😋

By cp0tts9 |

My son got married on 7/21/23 in Las Vegas! I reserved Battista’s for the rehearsal dinner! From the food being so delicious to the comfortable atmosphere…it was absolutely perfect! Battista’s was easily able to accommodate our party of 22 and was very affordable! Thank you, Battista’s Hole in the Wall!

They know what they're good at.

By laurenceb284 |

Battista's has a small, red sauce-focused menu. They don't attempt fancy dishes and I'm fine with that. We had the lasagna ($35) and the spaghetti with meatballs ($30). Both were good, generously portioned, and came with soup or salad, garlic bread, and unlimited wine. We could have spent more, but these were actually the dishes we wanted. We both ordered the salads, which were okay. I suspect the soup is probably a better choice. Dinner also includes a cappucino with whipped cream, which was very good. Desserts were available for an additional cost, but we weren't hungry.

Cute place with great service!

By candace_vee |

Service and ambiance were amazing! Giovanni & Gina took care of us, and they were wonderful! Food was great and a really good value just off the strip. Would definitely come again!

Keep looking for a better place

By NYSusan1 |

Was not really impressed with quality of food. Service was not good as well. It was close to the Linq. I would avoid this place for sure. Overated like I read in reviews.

Ambiance and descent food BUT RUSHED SERVICE LIKE I HAVE NEVER EXPIENCED BEFORE

By Donald L |

Ambiance and descent food BUT RUSHED SERVICE LIKE I HAVE NEVER EXPIENCED BEFORE. In the first 30 seconds we were seated, handed the menu, had the bread and wine delivered. 45 seconds later they asked what we wanted to order. When we finally did order, the salads were brought out in 10 seconds...yes, 10 seconds...and the food was put on the table less then 4 minutes later...20 minutes from being seated and they were already pushing to clear off the plates from the table while we were still eating and this was at 5:30pm on as weeknight. I noticed this same pushy service at all the other tables. Having said this, the place has a lot of history and the food prices were reasonable for Las Vegas, but I'm not interested in a nice evening out for a $100 dinner for two that lasts 20 minutes and I won't be back.

Quirky and different, but not great

By jules |

The food was pretty good. Service was lacking. Room was LOUD--several tables crammed into a small room. There was a lot to look at--tchotchkes everywhere. I thought it looked cluttered, but some people may enjoy it. Also, we were unable to get an Uber from there, so we had to walk a few blocks and I did NOT feel safe in that area. I was with my husband and another couple, and we all decided we would not go back.

Will not return.

By canadian836 |

First, service was great, VERY rushed but the staff were nice. The food was mediocre at best. I had the chicken Rio and my husband had the chicken parmigiana. The emphasis is on quantity, NOT quality. I think its popularity comes from it being a Las Vegas institution, not because the food it good. Choose another restaurant if you want real Italian.

Worth a visit

By Ars1300 |

They were very accommodating of our larger group. You definitely get you moneys worth here with dinner. A lot of pasta and Italian choices . Food I would consider average but restaurant is a cool experience for something different and reasonably priced .

Nostalgic little spot with good Italian food

By Deb P |

Nostalgic little spot with good Italian food. The meals all include house wine, soup or salad, bread, your choice of entre, and "cappuccino" - even the waiter admitted that was basically hot chocolate with whipped cream. Otherwise we found the food to be delicious as well as the wine, and enjoyed looking at all the celebrity photos on the wall.

Quirky Place Near the Strip

By Chris |

This place is located right next to the Horseshoe hotel so its easily within walking distance from the strip. It has been in its current location for over 50 years and it seems like an old iconic restaurant. It has a menu of 20 or so food options ranging from $30 to $50 and each dinner comes with soup or salad, unlimited garlic bread and unlimited white and red wine and cappuccino at the end of the meal. We had the New York strip (which came with veggies a side of pasta) and lasagna and everything was cooked perfectly and tasted great. Everything was in huge portions so neither of us finished. For being in vegas this was a bargain, especially with unlimited wine. My only complaint was that it was very dark inside.

Good but, up charge split is sneaky!!

By Holly E |

We went before a concert and loved the Atmosphere reservations were on time.. and service was Good two of the couples split Dinners..$20.00 charge. My Husband had Rio Chicken and I had a side of meatballs.. We were Charged “Split charge” Which I don’t eat cream sauce which I DID’NT eat.. The others did split.. asked our waiter and he basically said that’s how it is.. So beware that’s how they up charge eveyone.. and make $20.00 plus tip on upcharge of each couple!! ;)

Very good Italian food.

By Jerome S |

Authentic Italian flavor. Portions were generous and the complimentary wine was good including free refills. Our waitress Haly was excellent with meal explanations and being attentive. Will return next time in Vegas.

La vida dolche.. the sweet life

All of the pieces.. Classic Dim Nostalgia Food Only one thing is missing.. Sinatra.. I would assume this place is legend.. It was suggested to me by some Italian friends.. la vida dolche

Must go!!

By Cheddar19 |

Love the food… excellent portions. The included house wine is pretty good and the cappuccino is YUMMY! The atmosphere takes you back in time

Pessima

By Vegetalfo |

This not an Italian restaurant. Stinky place and horrible food. Only for tourists expensing and low quality. Italiani non fatevi fregare.

Great Food, Great Atmosphere!

By Bobo5578 |

Second visit after 30 years. Was still as good as I remembered. Large portions and good house wine included. Will be back soon.

Authentic Italian Dining at Battista’s: Perfect Chicken Parmesan with Wine and Cappuccino!

By Mac Brazel |

If you’re looking for a classic Italian dining experience in Las Vegas, Battista’s Hole in the Wall delivers. Their Chicken Parmesan is a standout dish—perfectly breaded chicken cooked to a golden crisp, topped with a rich marinara sauce and melted cheese. Every bite balances crispy, tender chicken with bold, tangy flavors. The sides complement the meal beautifully. Creamy spinach adds a savory touch, while al dente pasta with marinara ties everything together. Generous portions ensure a hearty and satisfying dinner. What makes Battista’s experience even better is the included house wine with every dish, perfectly paired to enhance the flavors. To finish, a smooth cappuccino caps off the meal with elegance. The cozy, old-school Italian ambiance and attentive staff make Battista’s a welcoming and memorable spot. For authentic cuisine and a relaxed dining experience, Battista’s Hole in the Wall is a must-visit.

A hidden gem right off the strip

By TigerEyes9 |

The restaurant is hidden in a little strip mall behind the Flamingo (so it's not that far out of the way), but it's AMAZING!!! Loved the atmosphere, food was great, and it was definitely a much better value than most of the restaurants on the strip. Would highly recommend.

There's a Reason It's Famous. Check it Out!

By GrumpyWhenImHungry |

Great spot for Italian dishes. Free AYCD wine is a nice feature. Just keep in mind that it is house wine, not top shelf, obviously. The food isn't outstanding, but it is very, very good. Service is normally exceptional. Prices are fair relative to standard fare in Vegas. The atmosphere is probably what makes this worth the trip. Lots of history, photo ops, and ambiance. Definitely worth going. If you can get there before 7'ish, that's your best bet to be seated right away. Otherwise, expect a wait.

Lots of food, good service

By Backmannnnn |

This restaurant was recommended as having good food at reasonable prices. We went for supper our first night in Vegas and were quickly seated and the service was fast. The servings are big and the wine is included with supper...for a house wine, it was pretty good. It wasn't very busy when we came in but by the time we had finished supper, the place was packed and the line to get in was long. It's a pretty popular place and i can see why...the food is good, you get a lot of it (along with the wine) and the service is good and friendly. The prices are reasonable as well. Try it out...I would go back.

Absolute WORST Food and manager

By Arnette Z |

This was the most terrible experience I’ve had in Vegas. The establishment makes it mandatory for you to have and pay for wine with your food my group does not drink and no accommodation was made. There was a $20 charge to share a meal and the portions were less than adequate for one person. The food lacked season and presentation. The pasta was separated from the sauce and it appears the vegetables were an after thought. We took one bite of the food. When we complained about having to pay $20 per person for food that was tasteless and we did not eat, wine we did not drink, a mini salad, the manager told me he would charge us $20 for two people and told me not to ever come back. So we paid $40+ for food and wine we did not eat. I would honestly take head to all poor reviews. This establishment was very unwelcoming and disgusting. * Postive Note The service was nice and attentive and the mozzarella sticks were delicious

A GREAT dining experience

By spanishrose1952 |

The outside of this restaurant doesn't give you any clue as to the unusual interior. This hidden gem of a restaurant is realistically priced for a great dining experience. You receive a free soup or salad, crunchy garlic bread, red or white wine, a pasta side and a cuppuchino. All you need to do is choose your main - and there are plenty to choose from - and sit back and enjoy your meal. The majority of our group chose the Steak Pizzaiola or the Parmigiana. All the food was delicious and there were no empty plates! Our server was knowledgable and entertaining and looked after us very well.

Unique for Las Vegas

By Jdt |

Despite some patchy reviews we ate here on our last evening and glad we did so. The quality of the food was good and the complimentary salad and bread were nice too. It was also very good value for money given the complimentary pitchers of wine served with the meal. The restaurant was very busy and obviously very popular with tourists and visitors so the food did arrive very fast but service was professional and efficient. Decor and atmosphere were nicely unique (for Las Vegas) and the free parking outside was a massive benefit.

Underwhelming

By BTPI |

Battista's price is a value compared to other Vegas restaurants. The food is below average. The wine is not memorable. Their standard salad was tasty. Garlic bread was fine and refilled. Lasagna was mostly noodles, very little use of cheese on top, almost no meat sauce and the tomato sauce lacked flavor. I counted 5 or more layers of noodles. Their desert drink was fine. It reminded me of The Old Spaghetti Factory and nothing like a fine Italian Restaurant. The booths had holes in the upholstery. They pack people in and serve areas at a time, with quite a wait for food. It was not memorable. Yet years ago I ate there and was looking forward to returning. As we age, we discriminate between good verse great food! So depending upon your age, you may love the place, or ignore it!

A good solid meal

By Chriscq |

We found this place when our favorite YouTubers reviewed it. They loved it and raved and ranted about how good it was. Now, we absolutely enjoyed this place. It came with salad or minestrone, your entree, garlic bread and house wine or Coke products. All included which is a great deal. My husband had the mussels with fettuccine(he said it was ok) I had the ravioli (it was good) and our daughter had the lasagna (very good is what she said). In the end the food was ok but a very good deal. It’s rare to find meals that go all in any more. Definitely worth a try the ambiance was great and the servers amazing and professional. We will of course come back, for the lasagna.

Don’t bother!

By momof21714 |

Though the service was excellent, the food wasn’t other than the salad & garlic bread our dinner was not edible. I ordered eggplant parmigiana & my husband orderd veal Milanese the veal was very tough & the eggplant was horrible. When we got the cappuccino I thought it was hot chocolate. Very disappointed since this place came highly recommend.

Celebrating birthdays!

By Trip196155 |

My friend of 64 years & I celebrated our birthdays at Battista's Hole in the Wall! What a great memory made and delicious food, wine & dessert ... delicious cappuccino as the icing on the cake!

Too many other restaurants to go to in Vegas than here

By LVMaui |

We were excited to go here but were terribly disappointed. It was all about the food. It was terrible, the sauce tasted vinegary, I am not sure if there were any clams in my clam dish, husbands steak was second rate. Garlic bread was weak, salad and soup were marginal. We actually had a better lasagna on our flight home, not kidding. Too many other choices in Vegas, I do not recommend. Staff was nice and professional.

Very good eats

By Tina T |

Our service was excellent. We could not have had a better server. Salad was good. My son ordered the ziti and said it was great. I had the veal piccata and it was very good. The cappuccino was the bomb!

Don't Listen to the Rest, Go With the Best!

By Shelbie Pleskonko |

This place is amazing! We got seated right away, despite not having a reservation. Please note you should make a reservation for dinner, as it gets busy, especially if you have a party bigger than 2. The server we had was very friendly and helpful. Service was fast, food was hot and delicious! You get the best bang for your buck here, especially when everything on the strip is so expensive. It is also a lot of food for what you pay, a definite must!

Great Italian food on budget!

By ifreakinluvlife |

You will not ever be disappointed in this fantastic little restaurant. Top notch service and 10/10 Italian food. It was so good we went twice. If you’re in Vegas it’s a must .

Expensive

By Dorothy F |

This is a quaint restaurant. We were promptly met by the waiter who was already having our salads prepared before we ordered. Wine came with every meal as well as salad and bread. The salad came with Italian dressing and since I am celiac my only option for dressing was oil and balsamic vinegar. (Not sure what was in the Italian dressing that included gluten but better safe than sorry). I ordered the chicken Alfredo with gluten free pasta for 47.00. It was just ok pasta sauce, and a 7.00 charge for gluten free pasta seemed a bit outrageous. The meal also included a cappuccino which was served warm and had obviously been sitting out getting cold. Nope, won’t need to go here again.

Affordable Nostalgic Italian

By ScottD58 |

Nostalgic “close to strip” Italian Restaurant, easy walk from many hotels. Menu on the walk - small glass of wine included with meal. Reasonable food and prices, which is why it’s lasted so long.

Ultimate value delivered

By Alex D |

Service: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Food: ⭐⭐⭐ Atmosphere:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Value:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Score:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This restaurant delivers on what is promised and over delivers in so many areas. The food is served is generous portions and is average-to-above-average at best. However, for the price of a plate, absolutely exceeds expectations. The service is exceptional, you get wine with the meal, it's not going to impress a French snob, but is totally enjoyable. Post meal cappuccino was very good, more of a hot chocolate than a cappuccino, but delicious none the less. My advice would be, take a group of friends and family, understand that the food is good not great, but you get so much value for the sticker. Mind you, I have not tried the entire menu, so totally possible that I am missing out on their best dishes. Overall, quality of meal is good, value, service and environment is exceptional. Worth a visit for sure 👍

Still our Favorite

By sociallyhope |

Our favorite restaurant in Vegas is Battista's Whole in the Wall Italian Restaurant Fabulous food, amazing service and such a great bang for your buck!

Supremely Disappointed

By Blondie |

Loved the funky eclectic interior and the easy walk from The Bellagio. Our waitress was personable and attentive. Sadly, the food was subpar. Salads were lettuce with a bit of veggie for color. We both had chicken dishes, one the house specialty!, and the chicken and pasta were so dry they were inedible. The cappuccino tasted like lukewarm Swiss Miss in a good day.

Off the beaten path

By travelingfamily4Ma |

This restaurant was a little off the beaten path but easily walkable. We walked from the Vdara and it was about a 20 minute walk. Behind the Linq area. It was an old fashioned, traditional Italian restaurant. We had a 5:00 reservation because we were seeing a 7:00 show at the Linq. Wine, garlic bread, soup or salad and cappuccino are all included in the price of the meal. I had the spaghetti and meatballs and my husband had the chicken Parmesan- both were good. The service was very nice, and the decor was interesting to look at. I think we spent about $80 including tip. If you are looking for something a little out of the way, and “old time vegas” I would recommend.

Trap for tourists

By Bianca N |

I do not recommend this restaurant because it has nothing to do with Italian cuisine! Smells as soon as you enter and very low level food..tourist trap

Wish we had skipped this restaurant.

By susan m |

Ambiance and service were good. The food, not so much. It’s quantity over quality; my pasta dish was overcooked and the sauce meager. I just couldn’t manage a half pound of pasta topped with only one ladle of sauce. And the Parmesan cheese was the cheap stuff. There were 4 of us and none of us were happy with our meal…. But, the meal included free carafes of wine (boxed wine I suspect)

Worst Dining Experience Ever!

By Jon S |

Absolute worst dining experience ever! We arrived for our reservation on time and watched at least 4 other parties, that arrived after us, with the same reservation time, get seated first. The host was just plain rude to everyone, not just us. Customer relations is not her calling. After about 20 minutes, we finally got sat. The server was not very friendly and at one point, actually put her hand up to shush my wife. The food was very mediocre at best and we felt rushed the whole time. Here's why. After serving the cappuccino/hot chocolate, the manager comes up and tells us he needs us to leave now because he has a large party coming in and needs the table. We were there less than an hour. Never in my life have I been asked to leave a restaurant because they need the table. Then he got an attitude with us because we were upset. Refunded one meal but kept the tip. We are locals and have been there many times and bring people from out of town there. They were just all over the news complaining about F1 ruining their business, so we felt bad and wanted to go there tonight instead of one of the other big resort restaurants. Well, never again! There are plenty of other local options with better food and service that would appreciate our business. I hope you do finally lose your lease and they put up a nice parking lot.

10/10

By Sightseer82591 |

The service was 10/10, the food was delicious and the waiting time wasnt as much as they said it would be, delicious wine.

If you like Italian food and don’t want to break the bank, get here

This restaurant cannot compete with 3 Michelin star restaurants in Tuscany but…….if you are in Vegas and you have a craving to eat in a well established (70 years +) Italian restaurant, which offers very good traditional Italian food,. wine, appetizer and cupacino is included in the deal and the prices are NOT the Vegas strip prices don’t hesitate and get here. You won’t be disappointed, as a matter of fact, you will be pleasantly surprised. This place is a gem and is worth a detour, highly recommended. And if you eat here, parking is free.

Best Restaurant off Strip

By Paradise107054 |

Best restaurant in Las Vegas. Huge portions and great food. Affordable and delicious. A must stop when in Vegas. Easy to make reservations. Gets very busy.

Dinner

By Donnel P |

Had late dinner at this place after getting lost from walking. They’re about to close but was very happy when they still accommodated us. The server was friendly and clear in discussing the menu. The place was was unique and very interesting. I like that it has so many partitions for more privacy when in group. The free house wine was good, the red was my favorite. The pasta was good, noodles were cooked in perfection and the sauce is not too tangy. Serving size is a lot and pricings is okay.

Did not live up to expectations

By Cheryl |

We liked this place so much on our visit 6 years ago, that we came twice. Unfortunately I won't go back. Service was rushed. Food was mediocre at best. I concur with some comments that Olive Garden would have been a better choice. For the same price, I could have chosen my own wine. And that was a poor excuse for a (not) cappuccino. Just terrible.

Better than any place on the Strip

By Mary D |

Split a meal which, for an extra $20, included an extra salad & wine. We went early--around 5:00--and glad we did. This place is an institution & we had a great time. The décor is fun and the food is reasonably priced, for just off the strip. Would go back!

Battista's Hole in the Wall

By Curious545104 |

The food was amazing! Andrew, Anthony and Lorenzo were friendly and efficient. However, the couple sitting across the aisle arguing during our entire meal made for an uncomfortable experience for my sister and I.

BATTISTAS A GREAT MEAL FOR A GREAT PRICE

By yorkshire1736 |

My girlfriend recommended Battistas for many reasons, we just had to go. We didn't have time to make a reservation, got to Vegas that day. We loved that they had parking. We had to wait 45 minutes, so ok, I'll get a glass of wine. A seat at the bar, while my husband checked out the menu again! The couple at the bar, from CT, so friendly offering my husband a taste of their Calamari. Eventually, a seat was free and we sat at the bar, (cx our hold on table). Josue the bartender took care of us and we enjoyed the evening thoroughly, great food, conversation w/a very friendly couple. I wish you would open a restaurant in Southwest Florida. Ciao

Go elsewhere. Overpriced bland food

By Chizzamerica |

So disappointing; maybe it was better years ago when people gave good ratings? The food was very plain tasting, plus the bill was higher than expected. For the whole group of us, we all felt underwhelmed by our mains and couldn’t wait to leave once done. Won’t be back

I know this is a popular place, but I would not recommend it

By James60933 |

Service was terrible! we had a reservation and they didn't seat us until 25 minutes later. Then, we had to flag down another server to just have someone come and take our drink order after a significant wait. Food was average, prices was high for a family style restaurant and then they tack on another excessive charge to spllit an order. I would not go again.

Battistas a Hidden Gem

By cjmretired |

After going by this restaurant for many years my wife and I stayed at the Flamingo and decided to take the short walk to Battistas. We had a 7:30 reservation and were seated right away. This place is definetly an old school Italian restaurant with a variety of menu choices that could satisfy anyone. We started our meal off with fresh bread and a salad. You also had complimentary wine provided by the restaurant. My wife had the lasagna and I had the spaghetti with Italian sausage. Both meals were excellently prepared. Portions are large and we were definetly full when finished. Everyone gets a complimentary cappuccino for desert. My wife also got a tiramisu to take back to the hotel. The price is very fair for a meal in Las Vegas. Will make this my Vegas go to gor Italian.

Worth it!!

By Tonya W |

Glad we went to experience this place. I love the way they do things. It’s unique. Service was stellar. Food was good and large portions.

disappointing

By Elizabeth W |

Don’t bother going. I ordered the manicotti and it wasn’t even a manicotti pasta. It was a very very thin lasagna pasta that they folded. The sauce was overcooked. it had no flavor. We also ordered the veal Parmesan and it was 1/8 inch thick and hard. we were really looking forward to some good Italian food. Unfortunately, this isn’t the place.

Wonderful Dining Experience

By PatrickNH |

This was our last night in Vegas and we just wanted a nice quiet place for dinner. The good reviews and proximity made this our top choice and we were not disappointed. The classic charm, excellent service, and food was spot on. Food was plentiful and delicious. The simplified menu was nice and simple with all the classics. If you like unpretentious Italian dining, this is the place to go. Would be a regular if we were locals!

Great time out

By Jogor172 |

The food isn’t nothing to write home about. But is constantly good. The service is impeccable which why I keep going back. We went with 4 people and two shared a meal which was more than enough to feed 2. Meals are large and the service fantastic. The cappuccinos the end make the meal. There was a mistake by one of the servers and it was fixed and the server very apologetic. That made it so much better. I think that’s the first time I’ve never complained and something was done without saying a word. If you are looking for a nice night out without paying huge prices I would highly recommend.

Lovely and quaint restaurant!

By sandy h |

We have been to this restaurant numerous times and love it every time! Good food, reasonable prices, all inclusive meal.

Disappointing change

By Donna A |

This was one of our favorites spots...have dined here many times over the years.. On our visit last week we left very disappointed....and I dont think it was just an off night. First we noticed that the prices went up considerably...... and the split charge went from 13 to 20 dollars... We ordered the chicken Rio our favorite....which came as a noticeably smaller portion of chicken and pasta with less sauce... for a higher price. The soup was barely warm and the salad unappealing... I do have to say the garlic bread was very good... the other entrée of garlic shrimp pasta looked ok. We felt rushed as soup and salad came out almost as soon as we sat down..and before ordering...There were empty tables... I realize they had hardships during the F1 races and felt they were trying to make up for losses... We also found out that the accordion player Gordy passed... he was a highlight. I really doubt well be back.... I'm sure were not the only avid customers to notice its not worth the price anymore ..... I'm saddened by this as it was such a great./fun place to dine!!!

Worst meal in vegas

By Janet B |

If I could give the place a minus score I would. Booked this restaurant partly because of reviews and recommendations from cab driver.Limited menu, service ok but food was disgusting. I ordered meatballs the plate was over filled with what tasted like sauce bought from supermarket that was bad enough but sauce pouring over side of plate looked very unappetising and tasted even worse others in my group had different dishes all equally as bad my friend would not touch her lasagna. Wine included in the menu not good either. On the whole a total waste of money for food you could not eat. Total of $140 for 4 people who none could eat any of the meals

Go Elsewhere

By tfm222 |

This is not good Italian food. The quality of food was poor. They gave free wine which wasn’t anything special. They offer salad or soup with your meal which the salad was just ok. The waiter was very nice but everything else was poor. I would never recommend this place when there are so many good places to go to.

Worth a visit!

By Steamboat50 |

Even though I gave this place three stars, an average review, this place is definitely worth a visit. It is a old time Italian restaurant that has a very neat atmosphere. That in itself is worth seeing. It has a nice bar area and plenty of seating. We did happen to have a reservation, but it appeared that everyone was seated almost immediately upon arrival with or without a reservation. Once we were seated we were immediately greeted with a bottomless craft of wine, which was included with your meal. We each ordered the lasagna which came with a salad and garlic bread. The food was all ready prepared and the meal I felt was a bit rushed. Everything came so quickly so I guess I did not think it seemed terribly fresh, but was still very good. It almost felt more like family style dining to me, but that is just my opinion. It definitely comes Highly recommended and a lot of people love it here. Glad I went and experienced it, but I’m not sure I would need to go back.

ld School Vegas Italian Restaurant 🎲🃏

By BattleSush |

Battista's Hole in the Wall dazzles with its extraordinary pasta and a kaleidoscope of vintage celebrity photos, creating a unique, kid-friendly ambiance. Pasta was delicious + cappuccinos made for a nostalgic night. A standout in Las Vegas for its value, it's a delightful escape from the usual casino fare. The staff's charm adds to an already fantastic dining experience.

UMMMM

Avoid this place. Lousy food and service. We were staying at the Linq it was close and we were hungry. I would never go again

Nice American-Italian restaurant

By Matt L |

I ate dinner at Battista's on Saturday night recently after arriving early for a conference in Las Vegas. Being a solo diner without a reservation, I sat at the bar and was promptly served. There was quite a wait if you were a group or couple wanting a table in the restaurant. The restaurant is quite big, windowless, but has a unique style about it. I have attached a couple of photos. The server was friendly and prompt. The dining menu at the bar is somewhat cheaper than if dining at the tables, but has less inclusions (so you need to buy salad/sides if you want them, and there is no free wine), however this worked out fine and is good if you want a smaller meal. I had the lasagna which tasted way better than it looked, and a side salad which was really good. The drinks were much more affordable than at any of the casinos on the strip, and the food was brought around quickly. I enjoyed my meal at Battista's, I would describe the food as American-Italian, and while not fine dining, was a good affordable and stylish experience where I would happily dine again when next in Las Vegas!

Horrible experience

By Patty S |

From the start, it was a very bad experience. The "host" was rude to nearly everyone that walked in. Several parties that checked in after us were seated right away, she tried to tell me they had a earlier reservation, but I heard them say the same time as ours. We finally got seated after 20 minutes. The waitress came over right away and actually put her hand up to dismiss me when I tried to speak. After 1 hour the manager came over to tell us we had to leave because they needed our table!?!? And then the manager got upset with us when we got mad about being asked to leave. We are locals and trying to support the business after they were all over the news saying how much they lost because of F1. Apparently, now they are just trying to make back the money instead of creating a pleasant guest experience. I will not go back nor recommend it to anyone.

Best Meal We Had in Vegas!

By SoulfulSonia |

Best meal we had in Vegas! Service was excellent, food was excellent and the ambience was top notch. Highly recommend. Celebrated our daughter's birthday dinner there and they brought dessert and candles. Super fun and within walking distance from the Paris Hotel where we were staying. Can't recommend enough!

Italian Dinner

By Beachplease! |

We randomly came upon this establishment during a stroll down the strip. We were able to walk in and get a table with only a 20 min wait. The staff were friendly and efficient. The decor was eclectic with signed photos of celebs, and knick-knacks lining the walls. The meal came with soup or salad, garlic bread, and a half pint of wine. The food itself was just okay. My husband ordered the chicken parmesan, and said the sauce tasted like it came from a jar. I had the eggplant parmesan, and it was good. Our son was pleased with his ravioli.

Average Italian Place

By BetsyC10384 |

I had seen the mixed reviews for this spot, so I wasn't sure what to expect. My husband said it was exactly what he thought it would be and was happy with everything. I thought it was kind of just another place to eat. Price wise, it is a good deal by Vegas standards, as you get free wine, salad, bread and cappuccino. Our service was probably what made me sour. The main waiter was either stretched too thin with his tables, or was just not a good waiter, as we never got more bread after being promised it twice. He took forever to take our order. The food was okay, but I don't think it was anything memorable. I just don't get the hype. I wouldn't NOT recommend, I just wouldn't go in with high expectations.

Good food - Rushed service

By shubsens |

Went with 4 couples for a birthday. Pros Actually really good food. I had the steak and it was surprisingly amazing. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their food. Free wine can be decent so I will give them credit there Decor is retro vegas? But in a food way Cons They will try the one bill per table but eventually realized that was not happening and for large parties the put the tip on the bill. I guess your on a time limit so its rush rush all the time. Maybe they are not so bad off hours.

Old Vegas!

By Simon W |

Brilliant place! Great wholesome old school Italian food and bottomless wine. Super well priced and a cool old school hangout.

Great!

By Feverboy73 |

Wanted something different from the usual fast food outlets and this was recommended to us by a couple of people. What an absolute hidden gem this is and great value. The soup was delicious which was followed by some very tasty garlic bread. The chicken pasta was good but what a huge portion! The service was fantastic so would highly recommend this but make a reservation.

Christian is a legend!

By Tom H |

Christian is like proper awesome! Food out of this world. Be prepared for free salad/soup, garlic bread, coffee and amazing hospitality from Christian.

Everything about this place 💯

By Jennifer Z |

Yes!!!! Everything about this place is fantastic. We made a reservation a few days before and booked the earliest time of 4:45pm. Arrived early and enjoyed a cocktail at the bar. We were promptly seated at a nice corner booth. The server and server assistant were great. We ordered one minestrone and one salad for the starters, a lasagna and a chicken parm. All really good. And of course garlic bread and cappuccino. Who doesn’t love those. Food was awesome, decor, ambiance, service, all excellent! I would return here for sure!

Truly a fantastic restaurant

By Jacki V |

You will be just amazed when you walk in the door! The staff really makes you feel welcome. From beginning to end, it feels like you could be in Italy! There is a display of mini bottles (we were told at least 6,000) that will leave you in awe. The food goes above and beyond. It is located between the Flamingo and Horseshoe hotels.

Oh.. My.. Goodness!

By Melanie M |

This restaurant was recommended by a friend when I told them I'd be in Vegas and it was sooo good we had to eat there twice! You get soup or salad, huge leaves of garlic bread, unlimited wine, cappuccino with your meal and then your main dish determines the cost from 34.99 to 44.99 I think. Everything was sooo tasty! And the mozzarella sticks were the BEST I've ever eaten!

delicious!

By Kathy B |

Order the chicken rio with extra sauce. You can thank me later! Unlimited house wine is included and decent. Fun times with friends!

We love Battista's!

By Lori L |

Had dinner last night with 10 of us, it was a great experience. Have been several times in past years and it was just as good as we remembered. We were a little concerned after reading some of the recent reviews, happily it was great. The service was excellent, the salad was fresh, garlic bread was warm and buttery, the cappuccino hot, and the pastas were delicious along with the free cheap wine. If you want something higher end they have a great wine list. We ordered spaghetti with meat sauce, lasagna, cannelloni, ziti with meat balls, all were very tasty including the spinach accompaniment. It truly is the best value near the strip. Will definitely go back!

Red sauce to die for.

By RubyDo1956 |

We loved this quaint little place. It’s a priced fixed menu and the entrees were spectacular. I had lasagna and my husband eggplant. The chef knows how to make red sauce. Great value.

GREAT SERVICE

By Patricia R |

Excellent service at Battista's. Everyone was great. Special thanks to Anthony and Gershon. Check it out when you are in town. You won't be disappointed.

Well was told to try it but was disappointed.

By tazmtnbiker |

Well I'm in Vegas for a business conference and a couple from church raved about this restaurant. Many tables available but was told there was a 20 minute wait so I was offered a seat at the bar. I'm alright with that. The location is definitely old-school Italian. The bread was ok as it was just a buttered Italian roll with some garlic. Nothing special. I never even used it to do mopping up. The minestrone soup was probably the highlight of the meal but definitely lacked seasoning. I added black pepper. I love veal. So I ordered the veal Parmigiano. It was a disappointment as it was a very dry veal. The veal had no moisture in the offering. Probably if the gravy/sauce had flavor it might have made the veal dish much better. There was no spice to it and was very bland. Nothing shouting out to me I'm special. I thing ragu has a better spiciness to it. Hence I never used the garlic bread to mop up the sauce. Service was quick. Food was hot but just simply put it was a bland entree with nothing special. I should have gone elsewhere but wanted to try it dye to recommendation. The pasta was ok but almost over cooked.

Good food, good service, good atmosphere

By Timothy C |

Good food, good service, good atmosphere. Will go again next time we’re in town. Be sure to make a reservation as it fills up fast.

Fun retro place at a great price point by the strip

By jeax2 |

I chose Battistas because I wanted Italian, it was close to my hotel, and the price was reasonable. I went in with mixed expectations having read recent reviews from people saying they were rushed in and out but that wasn’t my experience at all. My waiter was great, super friendly and encouraged me to take my time and enjoy myself. The menu is somewhat limited - wine (red or white) soup or salad, bread, entree, cappuccino. They had a full bar but the house red was fine. I really enjoyed my entree, and it was big enough for 2 meals so I had the rest for lunch the next day. Given how much everything in Vegas costs my only regret was that I couldn’t take the rest of my wine to go! A very retro, fun place with decent food at a great price. Would absolutely go back.

Avoid

By Susan B |

Not as expected. The food was medicore. Avoid. Service sucked. Was close to Linq. Keep looking for better. This place is over rated rip off

AVOID. Worst meal in decades.

By Dean G |

AVOID. Spectacularly awful meal. We have been before some 5 years ago and it was fine. This time it was appalling. Let's just run through it all..... 1. £46 for a steak that was inedible, 2. Stringy beans, 3. Hard potatoes, 4. Fatty veal, 5. Luke warm pasta, Our complaint generated no compensation or refund. Total bill for two people was over £120 and I wouldn't have given it to the dog.

Good meal, decent price, good atmosphere

By CNB89144 |

This restaurant is the most loved/ hated restaurant in Las Vegas. We finally tried it after it recently reopened and were pleasantly surprised. As you enter, the walls are covered with photos of celebrities that dined there in the past. Everywhere you look there are photos, bottles, pictures, knick knacks..... it would take hours to see everything. We were seated at our reservation time and greeted by both our waiter and busser promptly. Our waiter came bearing a carafe of red wine and another of white wine (complimentary). The wine was decent, not vintage, but certainly drinkable. The waiter brought menus, although large versions were on the wall. While we were deciding, we ordered salads or soup which were both good, but was served with garlic bread that was very good. We had chicken parm, chicken caccatori and chicken Rio. All were very tasty and had large portions. They were kind enough to bring a delicious brownie for the other couple's anniversary. And one of our party finished the meal with the complimentary cappuccino. The service was good and very pleasant and accommodating. In summary, this is a great value meal. There are fancier, more expensive places. There are places that are more elegant. But if you are looking for a good meal and value near the strip, this is your place.

Nice ambiance but likely won’t go again

By allison |

The salad was really good. My hubby had the white wine and I had the red wine and I loved it. My hubby’s lasagna was cold when it first came out in the middle, which led us to believe it was frozen and reheated resent it back and when it was brought back, it still was not hot. He said that my lasagna is 100 times better. The atmosphere is awesome and the waiter was delightful. Value for the money not so much. But it was not a total disappointment. Ohhhhh and the cappuccino that comes with your meal is definitely not a cappuccino. It is a hot chocolate from a package that you add hot water to. We didn’t even bother to drink it.

Good but overpriced

By Miles M |

Good food but overpriced you can get this same quality for half the price but without the free wine had chicken cachatori and shrimp scampi total was $95 add in tax and tip $120

wonderful romantic new years eve dinner with terrific staff and cozy atmosphere

By desslock |

at the last minute we drove up from phoenix to spend new years eve in vegas. we were lucky enough to grab a reservation at Battistas hole in the wall. We were seated on time and has a cozy little table in the corner. the atmosphere is very comfortable and warm. my wife thought it was "romantic". we had a waiter as well as a wait helper. both were very professional, friendly and made us feel very welcome. The dinners here complete with a main dish which also included all you can drink red and white wine, garlic bread, soup or salad and an after dinner cappucino.the wine was surprisingly good. everything was delicious. we had a chicken pasta dish and a sausage pasta dish - both were flavorful and tasty. the sausage pasta was really good. we were so happy with our choice to have dinner here. the place does not look like much from the outside but once you enter it is very nice. there are a few parking spots directly in front on the restaraunt. the place is just off strip - right behind the Flamingo casino. it is also very close to a monorail station.

Battistas is a historic gem on the strip

By Bradley T |

We researched places to eat when in Las Vegas for first time in 27 years. We found Battistas but read in places it was still closed for building upgrades. We ultimately learned it had reopened. We got our reservation for last night in Sin City. We found the interior to be historic because of all the celebrity pictures on the walls that are worth the trip even without excellent food and service. Giovanni (born in Naples Italy) was excellent primary waiter. We chose to split a meal as it was our last night and no time to eat delicision oeft overs and did not want to waste food. Giovanni explained their $20 plate sharing fee. It seems high but the person sharing still gets sout or salad, bread, house wine, pasta side dish, plenty of main course and vegetable plus a cappuchino . Well worth this meal even with the fee. We shared meals all but one night for our week in the city. Battistas, even with the plate sharing fee, was the least expensive of all the night's dinners. We highly recommend this historic gem to anyone who can make it to middle strip. It is across Flamingo from back of Horseshoe (old Bally / original MGM) and behind Flamingo. It is in a little strip mall format with parking if needed.

I love this place

By emmittrudd |

Excellent good and ambiance. Cannelloni is my favorite but so much is good. Great fast service. Overall fun place.

Terrible.

By Marc |

We were there this past Tuesday evening for dinner. Let’s start with the good: The server was very attentive. The place looks cool as soon as you step in and has a good atmosphere. The salad and bread was good and I was told by others in our group that the soup was good. Now the bad: The entrees. Definitely in the list of top 3 worst restaurant food I’ve ever had. I heard back years ago this place used to be alright, but now it is terrible. And it isn’t just one dish made poorly. The chicken parm and chicken cacciatore was terrible. The pasta and meatballs was basically half cooked pasta with a can of ragu poured on top on it. The meatball was fair, at best. And these are just a few examples of the group’s meals. The “famous cappuccino” tastes like hot chocolate with whipped cream on top. And it was good for hot chocolate, but it was terrible for a cappuccino. The house red wine is terrible. I didn’t try the white but others in the group said they could sip some of it. They have a wine menu so you can order bottles or glasses of something else. We had a fairly good bottle from Italy for $45. I would definitely not return. I suggest going anywhere else.

Horrible

By S B |

We sat in a booth which was old worn out and uncomfortable. Service was poor, brought our meal before we were given our salad. Free wine with dinner was ok but tasted watered down. Food was cold. Shared cannelloni but there were only two pieces to share and it was horrible, it came with some soggy spinach. Cappuccinos at end of meal tasted like watered down hot chocolate. Overall for an Italian restaurant I think Denny’s serves a better meal. Absolutely awful.

Disappointed

By rrdrew |

Our reservation was seated 30 minutes late. My glass of wine I ordered took 20 minutes. In the end, I had to ask for it. My wine came after our salds we also had to ask for. My husbands diet drink never came until our food came. The free wine is not for an actual wine drinker. They did have Prisoner on the menu by the glass, which is uncommon. After all that, the food was just ok.

Low-Key High-Quality Italian Steps from The Strip

By Suzy B |

Battista’s Hole in the Wall serves up classic red sauce Italian in unpretentious surroundings with an old-world Vegas feel. The meal price includes red or white wine, salad or soup, garlic bread, entree and cappuccino. Steps off The Strip, this was a great find for a low-key but high-quality meal in the area.

Our favorite Vegas tradition!

By travelfammo4 |

We eat here at least once every time we go to Vegas. The food is always really good, the atmosphere is great, the staff is always super nice, and they seem to always be packed but there’s never a long wait. We go to Vegas several times a year and Battista’s is a tradition we never skip!

Excellent food at great prices

By GaryN |

Went based on recommendations from friends. The service was great, we couldn’t decide what to order, so we asked our waiter to recommend a meal based on the 2 or 3 choices we thought sounded good. He knocked it out of them park. The restaurant is casual, comfortable and nostalgic. Food was amazing, legit simple Italian meal, with soup or salad, garlic bread, main and wine included in the price. We will return next time we’re in Vegas

Traditional Italian cuisine in an iconic setting.

By Venture33947695104 |

This iconic Vegas restaurant is a popular and affordable spot for generous and tasty traditional Italian food. We’ve been here so many times but we can’t stay away. Service is fast and friendly… we miss Gordie the sweet gent who provided table side accordion serenades.

Absolutely the Best!

By marle h |

This is DH and my favorite Las Vegas restaurant. We have been no less than 20 times in the last 12 years or so. It never disappoints. It's so romantic. The prices are crazy low and the food is fantastic. We plan every trip around a dinner reservation at Battistas. Stellar service, super great food. I cannot say enough.

Another Splendid Meal

By Gerry S |

We went to Battista's on July !7 and it was very good. We were seated within ten minutes of our reservation. We had a very nice meal and the service was very good. We have been to Battista's every time we come to Vegas which is over ten times. WE have never been disappointed and continue to recommend this place to our friends and others look for an authentic Italian meal.

One of the Best Italian Restaurants in Vegas

By Linda A |

This was an excellent choice for dinner. They have a very limited menu with prices ranging from 29.95 to 49.95. Each price range includes everything for a full course dinner, starting with wine, soup or salad, garlic bread, entree and a deliccous cappucino to top it off. Service was superior and the food was excellent. I ordered the manicotti and it was such a large serving, enough for two people. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will most definitely be back.

Food poisoning !!

By Simon WI |

Worst case of food poisoning. I was in bed for four days. Ruined my whole trip. Took affect within an hour and a half of our meal And I knew before even left the restaurant, something was not right . I did go back back to the restaurant explained that I had gotten food poisoning for them and asked for a refund which they declined.

Very Good

By Craig051 |

A great venue. I had booked a table but forgot to mention it was our wedding anniversary. When we arrived I asked for a nice table but, as we are British, not any fuss. We were given a great table and had one of the best meals in the two weeks of our holiday in the US. They even gave us a chocolate brownie and cream for our annversary. Very much recommended.

Oversold by Tour Guide

By Calum T |

This restaurant was recommended by local tour guides however was oversold. The process from start to finish felt like a conveyor belt. The food when it arrived was cold and in plastic plates, the sauce was the same across 4 different dishes, very basic tomato sauce I could have made at home..... The server, sadly was very rude, we are tourists and clearly unfamiliar with the menu and when asked how it worked recieved a very short rude answer. Despite being told the wine was unlimited the server didn't explain this and was awkward after the first interaction. That said the wine was very nice. The cappuccino was like hot chocolate not coffee and therefore not enjoyable. It was efficient but to the detriment of quality and service.

You’re still the one but I miss the accordion player

By kristi253 |

I wish the accordion player was still there I understand he passed recently but he really made the place The food is still great and service amazing a little off the strip gem I would have given a 5 if there was still strolling entertainment

Great place!

By Seaside15164528859 |

The food was excellent and our waitress was wonderful. I wish I would have gotten her name to give her the credit she deserves. I had the chicken prio and my husband had the lasagna and both were excellent. We will definitely go back when we are in town.

Great Italian food with wine included!!

By Yvonne C |

Great Italian food served in a fun atmosphere. Restaurant offers a large menu and most entrees include bread, soup or salad and House Wine which was very good. Server was very good and we had a lovely time. Within walking distance of our hotel, Hilton Grand Vacations at the Flamingo, it was perfect for a cocktail and some wine and a short walk home.

Super value on the strip - old Vegas vibe - FREE WINE!

By luxuryhomesoflv |

Super old school Vegas atmosphere and ideal for a casual dining experience for the whole family. Delicious fresh bread served in generous portions. Great menu of classic Italian dishes. Nice kids menus too. Salad or soup, bread, wine, and cappuccino are all included with your meal making this super value. Service was outstanding. We felt well taken care of. Giving it 5 stars for being exactly what we expected and wanted.

Maybe not a good idea anymore!

By Phantomblonde |

This was my “Go To” restaurant for all the 31 years I lived in Vegas. The service was always spectacular and the food was amazing. First time I darkened their doorway since 2000 from having moved I was stupid to think it would be the same awesome place when I recommended it to friends for a birthday dinner that I was attending. The food is still delicious but has doubled in price. The owner is no longer on site to oversee things and it’s noticeable. There were five of us and the waiter pushed us too hard to hurry up and get out. We ordered appetizers and as he took that order put everyone’s salad on the table immediately afterwards. We were still eating appetizers when he snatched them off the table so fast we had no time to protest. In three minutes our entrees appeared then the check right behind that. We got up to leave and the entire lobby and outside the restaurant was overrun by people so could barely get out. This was a Sunday night. I was so disappointed in my old favorite.

The worst!

By C B |

Hands down the worst Italian food I have ever had, I would say this place is a tourist trap, a gimmick at best. For the price I expected a little more, what I got is no more then you would expect form a cheap diner, I’ve had better canned sauce then here. The unlimited wine is unlimited for a reason, 8 of us different even finish a bottle. Definitely not worth the money or the time, there are so many real Italian restaurants in Las Vegas that will leave you full and satisfied.

Great Italian off the strip

By Phoinix2 |

This is the cutest Italian Restaurant just off the strip-behind the Flamingo. Old days Vegas prints on the wall, Italian wine decor, delicious food. ..AND GREAT PRICES FOR VEGAS . Buy a entree for about $40. all drinks, wine, Cappuccino included. Great deserts too. My definite restaurant to stop again in when I return to Vegas

Wonderful/reasonably priced meal in Las Vegas (a rarity on the Strip in our experience)

By Tom P |

This is a gem in the current Las Vegas. This was the only place we came across on a 6 day trip where we weren't nickeled and dimed for everything. They are extremely busy because its an old established restaurant and provide a great meal experience. The Italian menu is varied and all 4 of our meals were very good. With the meal comes a nice salad, great garlic bread and carafes of either white or red wine. We were all very pleased with the service and food here, and we got in exactly at our reservation time even though they were so busy. The hostesses do a great job keeping the place organized.

Don’t go!!!

By ajd357 |

We were advised that this was a great place to visit for good food and wine! Wrong on all counts. It’s a well established restaurant and the history on the walls showing those who have visited, actors, sportsmen and even astronauts who went to the moon. The main man was more like Brezhnev, not certain he was alive and the lady was like something out of the Godfather. The food was awful you are given a salad and garlic bread as a starter then choose a main course each around $40. I had Chicken Parmigiana the tomato sauce was tasteless. Do they not understand the phrase,”season the food”? Nothing. No herbs salt garlic, nothing just pulped tomato the chicken was thankfully cooked but I must say if that had been freshly cooked I’m a Dutch uncle. The cheese topping the dish was about 3/4” thick, not grated and was rubbery, however it had flavour. The spinach gratin was ok but again not seasoned. My wife was chicken as well in a spicy sauce which was also lacking. We declined a dessert but was presented with a home made cappuccino which had about 4 oz of sugar in it, which was left. You could say that the saving grace was the wine was included and the amount unlimited. Fine you would think but for an Italian restaurant to serve red wine cold enough to show its direct from a fridge or outside in a yard and not at room temperature, was a sad indictment on an establishment tat has long passed its sell by date. I must say the number of people in and queuing to get in was impressive. Maybe it was us but I doubt it somehow.

Excellent for a Hole in the Wall

By Mike S |

Food was outstanding and more than I could eat. All meals are served with a house wine that was very nice. The only service was great

Best Dining in Vegas

By Rebecca G |

Still the best dining experience in Las Vegas! Battista’s never disappoints. From the house wine, incredibly authentic entrees, to the delicious post meal cappuccino, you do not want to miss this dining experience. Richard and Joseph provided us with outstanding service. You’ll feel transported the the Vegas of years past…….

Classic Italian

By Ingrid W |

This is the best classic Italian restaurant in this area. The old-fashioned interior sets the mood. The food is classic, flavorful, fun, and Italian, and the family recipes really keep the restaurant alive. They also had a jug full of complementary wine on the table with little glasses to drink. The restaurant is also very family-friendly. Highly recommend if you want good food that tastes like your grandma's Italian cooking!

Great food and can split charge for $20

By brendaf297 |

Always great food and service. Did the lasagna order split and charge was an extra $20 for half lasagna and still got individual salad with bread and the house wine. Very tasty

Such a special meal!

By NEEDAVACAPittsburgh |

We loved our meal here: from the service to the atmosphere to the food to the prices! So glad we had a chance to eat here before nearby Piff.

This is the spot

By Carney K |

This is quintessential Vegas dining. My friends and I made a golf trip to Vegas and planned a few dinners for the group. One night we did a fancy steakhouse and the next night we did Battista’s, and everyone was much more pleased with the hole in the wall. It’s the old school Vegas vibe that hard to find on The Strip these days. Menus on the walls, a (mostly) set menu and a great experience all around. Just order your entree and it comes with the standard choice of soup or salad, amazing bread, and ALL THE WINE YOU CAN DRINK! I had veal Parmesan with the salad. My buddy and I also got a side sausage to try. The house red wine was great, and so was all the food. Everyone left full. Compared to other restaurants, this is the best value in Vegas and such a fun experience. Give it a try.

Pass

By Alex A |

Two stars for the large portions and good service. Nobody in our group of 7 enjoyed their meal. Relatively tasteless entrees that I did not find authentic or imaginative. My advice, if you are destined to dine here, is to load up on the salad or minestrone soup and the bread.

Italian food at it's finest!! Yum!!

By Lindsey H |

What an amazing place! Great service, great food - large portions, and lovely atmosphere! You cannot go wrong with salad, bread and wine before your main meal comes out. I would go back in a heartbeat!

Delicious old school Vegas Rat Pack style hangout

By Jason S |

Classic old school family Italian restaurant in a vintage Rat Pack era Vegas setting. Meal includes soup or salad, endless white and red wine, garlic bread, entree, and a dessert drink that they say is a cappuccino but is more like a coffee/hot chocolate blend. Absolutely delicious. Everything we had was just what we wanted. The house specialty of Chicken Rio was so good I took extra to go. Veal Marsala, fettuccini Alfredo and chicken parm were a hit with our table. Most importantly, the staff are as nice as any group of severs you will find in Vegas. Thanks for accommodating 8 people on a busy 3-day weekend with luggage heading back to the airport at the last minute.

Overpriced, meh experience for us!

By barbara w |

We went here after a late arrival in Vegas. This place was one of the few open who could accommodate gluten free. Unfortunately there was way too much food and it was very overpriced. You could not just order a salad or soup, you got the full meal deal. Maybe it would be better if we had gone at a different time, when we wanted the full meal experience. While they provide wine, we were not interested after a long travel day - so that was taken away (but we paid for it). And two of us wanted to share one meal which came with a salad, the main meal, and then cappuccino. When the bill came, we had a $15 cover charge because we ordered one meal to split. That meal was $43.95 so we were disappointed with that! The cappuccino is actually hot chocolate btw. They must be doing something right as it was packed every time we went by. But we wouldn't eat there again. If we had known, we would have walked less than 5 mins away to Ellis Island.

Nice Hole in the Wall Restaurant

By BusTraveler09 |

Create little Italian restaurant just off the strip. Food is decent (could use a little more flavor) but all dinners come with house wine, salad, bread, and an after dinner drink. Great place to escape to if you need a filling meal without paying strip prices.

Amazing American restaurant

By Samantha J |

Wow what a restaurant Found this by chance when looking to have a steak that wasn’t in one of the expensive restaurants. Traditional style American restaurant, staff lovely and atmosphere. Had to wait about 30 minutes for the table as we hadn’t booked ahead. Food was absolutely amazing and plentiful, was the best meal in Vegas we had Thank you

Good value for average food

By SouthHills |

We saw such high reviews with lots of reviews so we went. I’m thinking that people give such high reviews because it is economical in Vegas. Meal comes with salad or soup, garlic bread, unlimited white or red wine and cappuccino. Food was good/average

Great local restaurant with fun vibes!

By Maggie |

It was a fun place to experience! We loved the food and had great service. Christian was our waiter. There were other attentive staff too who came and went and they were all very nice. I had the eggplant parm… very good! My husband had the chicken parm. He ended up liking mine better actually . Big portions and nicely flavored. The house wine was interesting… seems you can have as much as you want. Weird tiny glasses to drink from however. Haha We would recommend it! Great history all over the walls which was fun. Good vibe overall!!

Great place for classic Italian “all-inclusive” meal!!

By MBGGE |

Very quaint place—best deal around just off the strip!! Highly recommend the Alfredo pasta and the new lobster and shrimp special, as well as veal picante. You can’t beat the price, especially compared to everywhere else in Vegas—includes salad, garlic bread, and bottomless wine(albeit on the cheaper side) as well as a cappuccino for dessert. All you could possibly want to eat!! The $20 split plate charge would be worth it if you aren’t that hungry because you get plenty to share in one entree as well as all the salad, bread, and wine! Highly recommend for a different experience of classic Italian!!

A Must for Us

By Julie P |

We went here in 2023 and it was so good we had to go back! The house wine is fabulous! My husband had a steak and I had the spaghetti. The New York cheese was delicious!! Definitely is a must do for us when in Las Vegas!

Awesome classic Italian food

By jason r |

Historic uniquely decorated dining rooms with great food and service at a very reasonable price. Everyting is included, from soup to bread to wine. Chicken piccata is incredible when they have it!

Great place to go

By Jorge S |

Great service, Very good food (good portions too). Price can't be beat, a complete meal (including a bottle of the house wine and a capuchino ) for around $30. Nice place, nice lightning.

Very disappointed in my favorite restaurant

By Todd C |

I can’t give it a zero or I would. Let me say this is one of my favorite restaurants. We always make it a point to make reservations and eat there whenever we are in Vegas. I made a reservation in the summer for October 25th @ 6 pm. I called and spoke to a live person. She took my reservation. They put it on open table and I was sent an email for confirmation. I even received a text and email the day of reservation. I was aware they were doing construction during the summer and was told it would be only for a couple of weeks. So apparently they are still doing construction 3-4 months later. I was never notified. We took a $30 taxi ride to find out it was closed and still under construction. Some people may ask why didn’t you call first. Why would I do that when I got confirmations and texts before and day of reservation. You would think that there would be something in place to notify it’s closed or not be allowed to make a reservation. How does that even happen? Very disappointing and frustrating.

Authentic Cozy Atmosphere!

By AliSteck |

This is our first time in Vegas. We made reservations to Batista's based on a recommendation. We are glad we did! We loved the classic Italian homey feeling. Cozy atmosphere. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. With every meal they include free house wine, garlic bread, and either a soup or salad! I ordered Chicken Parm, hubby had lasagna and son had the dinner special which was a chicken Tuscan dish. We all left full and satisfied! The gravy reminded me of my Nana's recipe!

Annual Visit

By KJL0823 |

This restaurant is an experience not to miss. You pay one price and it includes wine , both white and red, salad or soup, and your meal. The menu is on the wall. The food is good. Cappuccino follows. Not bad for the price - around $35. Sadly, the accordion player passed away. He always made our visit fun.

Not The Best Experience

By Tenley C |

We went here for dinner on the recommendation of our taxi driver and we were very disappointed. My husband had the veal and it was so tough that he was tempted to bring out his pocket knife to be able to cut it. I had the meat lasagna, which was also very disappointing. It had 4-5 layers of lasagna noodles and very, very little meat in between any of the noodles. The only part of the dinner we enjoyed was their special Margarita. Maybe we caught them on a bad night.

Delicious Italian cuisine and reasonably priced.

By Jim H |

This was a recommendation from our concierge and it did not disappoint. There are about 50 dinners offered, grouped by price range. You look at the offerings on the wall, and know that you will get wine (red or white), salad, and dessert included. Very reasonably priced, very generous portions, very nice atmosphere and delicious food. Our waiter was Giovanni - we enjoyed several conversations with him.

Don't miss this hole in the wall!

By Buddy B |

We ate here about 15 years ago and it was at least as good as we remembered! The service, the atmosphere, the amazing food - and the value. Highly recommended. This time we tried the lobster and shrimp - delicious. I was also very impressed with how diligently the staff worked around my daughter's food allergies. Kudos to the team.

Great Italian restaurant, Vegas

By Tim M |

Great Italian restaurant off the Strip. Relaxing atmosphere, good service, great, reasonably priced food. Definitely recommended

Just Average

By Ted B |

If your want to be rushed through dinner that’s the place to go. Food was good at best. Anyone with dietary restrictions they don’t go out of there way to accommodate you.We have been to many Italian Restaurants far better than this. Salad was good.Sauce OK.

A lovely place for dinner or a special occasion

By Veronica S |

A treasure trove of memorabilia line shelves in the bar/reception area, pictures of famous people and a wall of patches from police departments from all over the country. The staff were fun and friendly. The menu is simple, all meals include, wine (red or white), soup or salad, an entree and an after dinner cappuccino. There are groups of entrees ranging from $27.95 to $46.95. We had a variety of dishes at our table, all big portions, all delicious.

Dinner in Vegas

By Drew Baker |

Stopped in for dinner and glad we had reservations on a Tuesday. It was busy right when it opened. We were seated quickly and taken care of by Christian and Adreian. The wine and bread was tasty along with our order of Veal Parm and Lisagna. The meals are between $35 and $45. Considering the free wine it's really a pretty good deal for quality food and good portions. Followed up with free Cappacinos. Food, service, ambiance, and the history of this place is worth the visit.

Fun Experience

By Erica K |

We are learning to visit Off-Strip restaurants for a good time!! There was a significant wait, but overall it was worth the effort!! They have all the traditional Italian cocktails on their menu, but also offer house wine to the table. They did a great job with the all of the traditional staples and the staff (minus the hostess) was friendly and helpful! We will definitely recommend this spot for a delicious Italian dinner!!

Not the best experience

By Gigi F |

When it comes to Italian food and customer service this is not the place you want to go especially if you're a local we came on our 14th anniversary and got nothing but rude service rushed and Newt food so obviously they're not up to par with OSHA the place barely opened at 4:30 in our reservations were at 5:00 we were basically just told sit in the corner to the right nobody really directed you right to your seat the waiter comes up to you by the name of Cameron, who rudely rushes you to make a decision on your order not wanting to introduce himself or not explain the menu doesn't even bother asking you if you're new or welcome you to even the restaurant but once you see where this restaurant is you'll know why it's called the hole in the wall as it is located next to the liquor store this place gets two Stars only because it provided a roof over our head. And they had amazing Shirley Temples, other than that the food was horrible you would have a better experience at jack n a box. Locals just stay away from this place. And I'm sorry the manager tried to make it right all he did was take off one meal and a Shirley Temple when he should have taken off the shared plate for $20 charge which I only had one bite two sips of their white wine and half a little bowl of minestrone soup that was lukewarm for a place that just opened at 4:30 and it's 5:00 and we were in and out of there within 27 minutes roll their three courses it was a huge disappointment. Sadly we took the food home and ended up throwing it away.

This place is a gem! Don't pass it up despite its location.

By Richard W |

We have walked past this gem so many times because of the dicey looking liquor store next door and the parking lot area. Man were we wrong!! This place is GREAT. Hole in the Wall actually fits the description, yet inside is very nicely decorated and has substantial seating. Our server , Haly, was excellent. When looking at the menu which was in print as well as posted on the walls, we were a bit shocked at the prices- $ 38.95 for clam linguini. BUT, then Haly explained just what all that includes--Salad or soup, a large basket of bread, a huge serving of the main dish, a half-liter ow red or white wine each, and dessert. The wine is unlimited , so you could have more than your half liter if desired...the clam linguini was the BEST we have ever had and it was absolutely loaded with tender large pieces of clam meat. One serving could have easily fed us both. The address is Linq Lane and there is actually a "lane" that runs from the Linq Promenade, under the High Roller ferris wheel and to the restaurant. We will not miss out on this GEM again....our new favorite dining place in Las Vegas.

Great classic place with good food and service.

By Lovetotravelfamily4 |

We had a great meal here with a group of friends. Food was great and the staff was very good. Prices were about what you would expect too. We would eat here again.

Real Italian food?????? NOT!!!!!!

By Road67857833078 |

Food was terrible. Focus is definitely on quantity over quality. Advertised free cappuccino with the meal is a cup of hot water and half a teaspoon of cocoa powder, maybe a drop or two of coffee syrup and a mountain of whipped cream (cool whip pretty sure )to cover the travesty.... Would NEVER recommend to anyone if you have ever had a tastes of REAL AUTHENTIC Italian cuisine. Better part of the dinner... The salad.

Cute Italian Restaurant right off strip

By Smert4 |

We were told to try this place when we were in Vegas. Very good location in the middle of the strip behind the Horseshoe. Our order included one white and one red carafe of wine, bread, salad, entree and cappuccino. Prices start at $29.95 and up. Our food was excellent and very pleased with the wait staff.
