Take out

By Lynda Strauch |

My husband and I ordered take out on Saturday evening. As usual the food is delicious. We were pleased to see that all guidelines for Covid are enforced there and they are ready to open this week. The staff is as usual so accommodating and caring. The owners are very lovely people as well. Makes for a very warm and delicious environment. Please support them, it rare to find such a combination in Miami

Excellent restaurant

By Alessandro V |

Fantastic dinner experience. The place is very cosy and the staff is extremely friendly. As Italian I can also confirm quality of food is indeed top-notch. Recommended for groups, families and business meals.

Unmistakably Italian!

By P L |

I enthusiastically recommend it! It’s a hidden, rare gem absolutely worth being discovered. In my many years in the US as an Italian expatriate from Italy I rarely had such a great experience. Both the owner and his crew show their passion for unusual Italian specialties rarely found elsewhere, and as soon as you engage them in conversation they are eager to share their passion with you. The ingredients are simply the best, the preparation flawless and the Italian flair unmistakable. I highly recommend the chickpeas Farinata and the stracchino Focaccia, both exceptional. The indoor ambiance is nice and the outdoor eating area and bar are great. If a flaw is to be found it is in the insufficiently extensive wine list. Even though I live more than an hour north of Miami, if I want to have an unadulterated Italian meal that’s where I will go. Paolo Longo

Amazing!

By Rodrigo B |

Amazing food, the pesto was the best I have ever tried. One of the owners Julio is an absolute purist and great at what he does. The atmosphere is great too. Will come back for sure!

Wow

By Carib S |

I have been told about this restaurant, but, as every Italian living abroad I was pretty skeptical about the food quality. I was wrong. As soon as I have tested the focaccia I became surprised and excited. Than I had focaccia al formaggio, farinata and pinsa, wow, I couldn’t believe it, the same taste as I was in a top restaurant in Italy!. But the final surprise were the gnocchi and the pesto: superb!!. If you are looking for Alfredo sauce or Pepperoni Pizza this is not the place for you, otherwise if you are looking for the real italian hi class cuisine you will find it in this place. On top of it we had a very careful and quick service.

Delicious Food & Service

By BGoudieSOMI |

I attended a lunch for a group I belong to here. The outside courtyard is a great space for group gatherings. The food was delicious and the service excellent. Wonderful gluten free and dairy free pizza. We also enjoyed watching a World Cup game here. Stefano was amazing. Highly recommend!

My 2nd Birthday celebration was wonderful as well! Love it there!

Pinsa

By paoloschellino |

Pinsa is unique! Better than pizza, light and taste. Pasta and focaccia home made. The real Italian restaurant in Miami.

A GREAT Italian Joint That You Don't Want To Miss!

By Tony F |

Great Service! Can I say this again.....GREAT SERVICE! Friendly, warm, enthusiastic and eager to please their guests. Cocktails and wine selection? Stellar! Food? So many great items. Bocconcini, Carciofi salad, tonnato manzano, fresh pastas cooked perfectly! And Tiramisu with Nutella is always a hit! I have been here many times and will come here many more. Great Job!

So lucky to have this place in our neighborhood

Very good and authentic home made Italian pasta. Great place for families. Their outside garden is full of color with plants and flowers making it the perfect place for a birthday party and/or a date spot. Very recommended!

Bad quality wines

By Mark S |

I went there for dinner with some friends. Food was good (6 out of 10). Service was good. The wines served by the glass were extremely poor quality. Served by 1.5 Liter bottles. They tasted more like cookign wines than drinking wines. Unfortunately, we all had different wines. Some had white, some red, some prosecco. So we could not order a bottle. We all got heartburn from them. I just talked to my group today and they all had the same issue. Please change your house wine selection. It ruins the entire experience.

Definitely best Italian pizza in Miami!

By totina |

We had the Pinza and homemade gnocchi with pesto, really fantastic, better than in Italy and I am Italian. Very attentive service and staff. The place is very nice and not noisy, definitely a great restaurant to go back!

Loved it

I tried their food from the food hall and had to go to their restaurant. I have to say that the pasta is incredibly fresh and the service was great. Go early.

A true Genoa culinary experience

By Manuel R |

I went with a dear friend of mine visiting Florida. She is from Genoa (Italy) and made me choose the best selection of dishes. Te focaccia was delicious, the chickpeas "Farinata" was faithful to the original back home and the homemade gnocchi with pesto were outstanding! We even got a "chocolate salami" dessert, very typical of northern Italy. The place is very nice, the location great if you are driving (plenty of parking) and the personnel was extremely kind and very competent. Definitely will be back on my next trip to Miami! Buon appetito!

My girlfriend says she loves this place - pasta is like in Italy. Ambiance of the place is fantastic.

Good service and ok food

By tdatiger |

I ate at this restaurant on 4/13/19. I think they are brand new. From the beginning the service was friendly. They were very attentive. The atmosphere on the patio is great. I loved it! The food was ok. I had fettuccine noodles. The pasta itself was good. The sauce a little bland for my taste. But that is just my personal preference. Anyway, after we ate, we received the check. One person in our group was adamant that it be split and gave them a hard time about it. The staff was patient and split it for us. Anyway, If you like authentic Italian food, a great atmosphere, and nice service, I say give it a try.

Real Italian

Went there for the second time. Very friendly and excellent well priced Italian food. It’s like you’re being served by the owners. Very appreciative that you chose to eat there. Mix and match the pasta w the sauce. Definitely will continue to go there

Fantastic

We actually tried the version at the food hall - Julia and Henry. The Cacio y Pepe was amazing and very fresh. We will be going to the regular restaurant next.

Belinata Burnt …

By Matteo |

Inedible burnt pizzas were served, for 5 people different timings 15 minutes between one pizza and another. Mediocre service, slow and not attentive, in fact the pizza was not what was requested. Value for money due to the raw materials used which unfortunately we did not taste because the burnt covering everything. Convenient parking, good cold cuts. We won't be returning.

Lovely space ...

By gritgirldery |

This is a beautiful restaurant with a fabulous patio. We loved sitting outside under the lit trees. The staff was very polite and attentive. We ordered drinks (both from specialty drink menu ... an old fashioned and campari sprtiz - they both tasted like cough syrup. We ordered a ceasar salad to start. It was ok. We both ordered lasagna for our entrees. It was warm on the outside but ice cold on the inside. We should have mentioned to the manager but we didn't want to make a scene.

Top Italian restaurant

Was there today for lunch

By Jani |

Was there today for lunch with some friends. Solid looking place for its location. Service was disconnected, you order one thing they bring you another one. We ordered 3 Peroni beers, but instead got 3 Violas. When we told the waiter that this js not peroni he told us “i know we are out of peroni so i brought u this one”. Wow. So, u dont come to tell us u dont have peroni at the moment and offer something else, but u substitute it with whatever u have. I guess they thought we aint gonna notice, and that is italian arrogance at its finest, they have the best food but they still have the worst service. The appetizers were very good, Bresaola and Pinsa were amazing. On to the main dishes. I had beef milanese. The meat itself was ok, but the presentation, OMG, i dont know who was in the kitchen but he has no clue how to present the dish. My buddy had some meat balls, and he said they were disgusting, and my other friend had some eggplant dish which she returned after couple of bites. The last friend had chicken and it was ok. Oh yes i forgot, before ordering peroni, i ordered mojito, and the guy came back to tell me they dont have mint, and they can use basil instead :) Crazy! Honestly i would give them 2 stars, but they sent us complimentary deserts (tiramisu, some browny with ice cream and something else that i dont remember) and they were amazing. Honestly i would give them another try but only for pasta and pizza.

Another great Italian experience for Miami!

By Skipjacksailor |

Great tasting gluten free pizza that tasted like full on Italian pizza. Vegetarian options, gluten free pasta and a delicious array of salads. The whole family (8 including two children) went during our current visit to Miami. For a variety of reasons half of us have dietary restrictions at the moment. Battubelin managed the situation with foresight, positivity, and swift response while ensuring all of the variety, quality and taste experiences that Italian food—and Italians—demand. The salads were all excellent—the carciofi salad stood out with a bright but subtle lemon dressing. A fantastic lunch. Don’t miss this place.

Fantastic Italian restaurant, excellent pizza and exceptional tiramisu. Finally a real Italian restaurant in Miami with all the Italian staff, really nice and welcoming. I recommend it 100%.

Bland, Poor Service, Avoid

By mikeohare32 |

This may come across harsh. Full disclosure just had tuna tartare, battubelin pizza, and a chardonnay, so no comment on other menu options. Came early 6pm for Wed dinner. Was informed twice of specials from two different servers. Ordered a glass of chardonnay that took 20min to arrive and place was empty. Was given focaccia for bread with olive oil - thanks for the carbo loading but no taste. The namesake pizza was also tasteless, the parma ham on it seemed not fresh, at least not the quality I'm accustomed to. Tuna was fresh but just average. The sauce on it was for lack of a better word, tasteless. Menu options seem pricey for what you get. For the 5-star reviewers, encourage you to check out Via Verde on Biscayne and hands down try Ferraro's on 79th St and then compare to this place.

Excellent

By dorisjaf |

Excellent service and food. The place is very beautiful outside. The service is very good and friendly. We ate the gnocchi, the fettuccine and the tiramisu with Nutella and both were extraordinary. Also, the panacota was delicious. A must

A genuine kitchen from Genova. Hand made pasta and of course the famous focaccia. I recommend this place

Zena in Miami

Delicious restaurant

By Edith G |

I visited this restaurant with a friend but it is also kids friendly too. The environment is nice and the music is low so you are able to have a conversation while eating. There is also a nice place to eat outside and private parking lot. We tried a delicious Tuna Tartare, eggplant parmigiana and an amazing pizza with Nutella as dessert. Remember to go next time you plan to eat outside!
