Inside the Casino connected to the Nomad, Bavette is a world away from the casino floor chaos. The vibe was quiet and elegant. Sort of filled with people who are used to fine dining but appreciate the low key lighting and romantic atmosphere. I was on a ladies trip but would love to have a date night here with my husband if we ever get back to Vegas. Service was impeccable and every bite of food was outstanding.

excellent service and fine dining

Great food and service

By Zoe M |

We visited Bavettes to celebrate our vow renewal and had great service throughout. We were given a complimentary glass of champagne which was a lovely touch. The fillet steak and truffle mac & cheese were amazing and cooked to perfection. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will definitely return.

A really great experience - fabulous atmosphere, food and service.

Fantastic experience! This is a beautiful steakhouse located in the Park MGM. We were waiting at the bar for our reservation, but the bartenders were so great we ate at the bar. Highly recommend and we will return. The steak tartare is off-the-charts excellent.

Wonderful!

By Sara |

We decided to try a new steak house and Bavette's did not disappoint. We had reservations and had no problem with getting a seat. Service was incredible. Josh and Raul were very attentive and friendly. We split a salad, I had the filet , my husband had the ribeye and we ordered the mashed potatoes. Portions were large and it was more than enough food. Steaks were cooked to perfect temp. The atmosphere was wonderful. We will definitely eat hear again on next visit.

Excellent

I ordered a classic Filet Mignon and I have to say it was the best cooked steak I have ever had. The cut of meat and the preparation was phenomenal. The service was exceptional and atmosphere cozy.

Excellence

By Jim A |

We came here to celebrate Labor Day weekend and had a dreamy dinner! Starting off with the Bacon and Tomato salad, which was excellent we washed them down with Expresso Martinis! I had the Ribeye Steak Frites for dinner and she had the Salmon Caesar. Dinner was great at the bar and the tenders were excellent. Highly recommend Bavettes!

The Perfect Steakhouse Experience

By LeBois |

Bavette’s was an absolutely terrific steakhouse experience. Refined, but also warm and welcoming. From the intimate ambience and classic decor to the extraordinary service and food, everything was nearly perfect with this meal. The warm house-made sourdough was bread heaven. The steak tartare with slow cooked egg and grilled garlic toast was one of the best we’ve had. The bone-in ribeye and bone-in fillet were perfectly cooked to temp, rare and medium rare respectively. Delicately tender, and richly flavored. Accompanied by fresh elote-style corn, truly fantastic sautéed wild mushrooms, and the best-ever truffle Mac and cheese. Paired with the Orin Swift “8 years in the desert” red blend. Divine. Robert was a top-notch professional, friendly, and attentive server. He even brought out a decadent chocolate birthday dessert. The whole team was great and gave us the perfect escape from the hustle of the strip to enjoy great conversation over a perfect meal.

One of the best steak restaurants in Las Vegas with excellent service

By Pat M |

Bavettes never disappoints. this is our third time going there and it was spectacular again. My fillet mignon was cooked to perfection and the service was excellent. You can’t beat the atmosphere either with a really cool bar in front and a very nice hidden bar in back.

Beautiful interior, exceptional cuisine, and great service!!

By MichaelMc777 |

This was my favorite dining experience, in my last trip to Vegas. It would also rank in my top five favorite restaurants in all of Las Vegas! A hidden gem!!!!! The interior decor is so very beautiful. It is elegant and romantic. It would also appeal to friends wanting a wonderful back drop. It is tranquil and the lighting is on the dimmer side - perfect. The menu is on the smaller side. Yet, it offers something for most people. I found the prices to be fair for Vegas. So much better to offer a smaller selection and make them exceptionally well! I tried three plates - The Wedge Salad, the Double Cut Berkshire Pork Chop, and the Brussels Sprouts. All three were absolutely delicious and a true 5 points - a rare experience!! The stand out was the sublime tenderness and flavors to the pork chop with the mouth watering glaze and earthy mushrooms - wow!!!!! The service was very attentive, friendly, and professional! Spot on!! Highly recommended! 😋

Food and Service Huge Plus

By Sebmom |

Our party of 7 adults had a fantastic time at Bavette's. Staff was over the top fantastic and the food was amazing. I highly recommend this steakhouse for Top 10 Steakhouse dining in Vegas. Everything we ate was a favorite including cocktails and appetizers.., not to mention the steaks!

Highly recommend

The service and attention from wait staff was impeccable. Their timing was perfect, from refilling drinks to ordering the next course. Food came out quickly and was incredible.

Steak

By JXR_UK |

We visited for dinner. The restaurant is dark and atmospheric, kinda like a speakeasy. I didn’t have an appetiser as they’re quite large and I wasn’t that hungry. I had the ribeye for my entrée done medium. It was very tender and flavoursome. We did the mash potato and Brussel sprouts for sides. Sides are large so you can easy share them between two.

Cut Backs?

By NikkoHenderson_NV |

The overall experience here was wonderful. The ambience was of a classic old school steakhouse with modern touches. A wonderful accompaniment was pleasant and not overly loud jazzy, low key music. The service, appetizers, main courses and dessert were excellent. Why only four stars? In our previous visits to Bavette's the bone in New York strip in particular was cut at 11/2 inches whereas this piece was probably only an inch thick and for 15-20$ more than previously. Of course we realize that some cutbacks are inevitable in this current environment, but at least deliver on the product in one way or another and don't "double cut" the customer, especially those that have been frequent diners in the past.

Wonderful meal with a unique atmosphere

By TLin239review |

First let me give a huge shout out to Renchie who is one of the concierge at MGM Park who helped us get the reservation. She went over and beyond and I want to post a thank you to her. We came to Bavettes prior to the Silk Sonic concert. The service was very good and the food was exceptional. It is pricey and everything is a la carte but you will not be disappointed with the quality of your meal…and the bread. We had the pork chop, stroganoff, salmon and the roasted chicken. We all got the house salad and it was all delicious.

Julian is amazing

By David A |

We went there for my brothers birthday! Reading the reviews we expected a great experience but we got so much more!!!! Julian genuinely cared about our experience making us feel like the only people in the place! If you ever visit, ask for him. That you, Julian!

Super expensive but super good.

By Sergey K |

Amazing place. Super expensive, but that is expected. Quiet jazz music. Semi-dark. Antique interior. Stylish antique decorations. Super professional waiters. The steak is delicious if you eat it the right way - I like it without sauce, but found it was rather over-salted, until I tried the sauce, and the sauce was amazing and very unusual, and the stake with that sauce tasted perfectly well. Still, it was a bit of a flaw that the stake with no sauce had excess of salt. They don't grill asparagus - they boil it, but serve with some components, i.e. dressing and melted cheese, which make it very tasty. Great experience overall.

an diner disguised as a upscale dinner place

By aryana m |

the food was extremely oily and honestly the food tasted more like a slightly upscale diner with alot of cream and oil but you pay about 3 times the price. Been to many upscale restaurants in vegas and some of them were out of this world and still ended up cheaper than this meal. The atmosphere is really nice like a old school steak place. However what they do not tell you anywhere is that they have 3 rooms (speakeasy style) behind walls and doors that is not that nice that they stick you in, unless you had specifically request the main room. Which you wouldn't know to do because they only advertise that one room. and you can tell that all the work and money went into the main room and non to their side rooms. When we told them this we got very hostile response back and asking why we are upset and they don't understand why we are upset. I told them i had book months ago and if you don't tell anyone that there is more than one area how can you preference it and almost all of the tables in the main room were empty even though they said they were reserved. We finally sat at the bar for a bit and for the entire duration those tables that were supposably reserved were empty the whole time. Again I have been to many upscale and midscale restaurants in vegas and this is the bottom of the list. Service was terrible, food was very oily and expensive for what it was and if you are not lucky enough to have the insider knowledge of the other back rooms, you also will get a terrible atmosphere. Would never recommend this place to anyone

Perfect Old School Steakhouse

By costaricagregg |

We researched and selected Bavette's for our Chicago steakhouse experience. Perfect ambiance - dark with leather booths and great cocktails. We had maybe the best crabcake I have ever eaten. Steaks were great as expected. Highly recommend.

Flawless.

By Mike S |

We've had our eye on Bavettes for a while, and we're so glad we finally tried it. The restaurant is beautiful, everything from the waiting area onwards was incredible. Service was impeccable, the server clearly cared about what he does and it really made for a top level experience. The sourdough is incredible. We both had the filet which was flawless and cooked to perfection. The fries were good, but there's a reason that Bavettes is known for its bacon - wow. Don't skip on the old fashioneds, some of the very best on the strip.

Birthday Celebration Dinner

By dvdewalt |

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here. The atmosphere was exactly what I was looking for - dark wood, soft lighting, and plush decor. We were seated in the far back room that looked like a private bar. The tables were not close together so it was easy to have a conversation. The service was top notch and the food did not disappoint. Filet with peppercorn crust and béarnaise sauce, brussel sprouts, and apple salad with vinaigrette. One of us is celiac, and many gluten free options were available. Our server double checked everything with the chef to be certain it was safe. The fresh sourdough bread with butter and an herb and salt mixture was delicious. They offered gluten free chips also in place of the bread. Dessert for me was the enormous lemon meringue pie with a pot of French press coffee. Sorbet is available as a GF choice. It was our favorite meal of the week. Make sure you have a reservation. It was very busy even at 6:30 pm on a Wednesday.

Disappointed; won’t be back

By Tink0707 |

Friend & I came for dinner on a Thursday evening. Friends recommended the place to us based on their awesome experience with the Chicago location. We were seated with 5-7 minutes of checking in. Our waiter was okay. The younger guy who brought us water, and ended up bringing our food, fresh drinks & clearing was attentive; the waiter not so much. We waited quite awhile for our check, despite my credit card sitting on the edge of the table to signal we were ready to wrap it up. The sourdough bread s very good; great crust. My bone in New York was not good. I ordered medium & it was over cooked. Texture was off & not great flavor so I turned the light on my cell phone on to see it - sure enough brown & fully cooked all the way through. Not one bit of pink. My friend enjoyed the lamb. The mushrooms were good - decadent & heavy, but good. Fries cooked in beef fat were also good. $300 for two of us for below average was disappointing. I’d much prefer Capital Grille or Morton’s.

Great SAZERAC at the bar

By Pierre M |

My spouse and I went to bavette twice during our stay of a week at the park casino. The food was good but not excellent like at Picasso restaurant in Lv . We preferred Italia in the same hotel.

Much better than we expected

By HEATHER6 |

Did not know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. Great atmosphere and loved the bar. Brian at the bar was wonderful and kept us entertained. Loved the food, service and atmosphere.

You can carry out the food and dine in your room or take it home to eat but don't expect good service.

By thatguysgirl96 |

Eric our busser made it worth it. While our waitress took the order and her helper brought the food out it was Eric our busser who made the difference in our meal there. He was the one that refilled our water He's the one that noticed I was cold and when I asked him to bring coffee he goes yes they do be having the AC on in here kind of high. When my husband mentioned that to the waitress she asked me if I wanted ice cream. While the waitress gets all the credit the busser is the one that's doing the work. They're the ones paying attention to the customers and paying attention to their needs. We had a very nice long conversation with him. Once our food was dropped off we didn't see our waitress again. The food at this restaurant is amazing I've had it at their original location in Chicago and this location didn't disappoint but don't go there looking for good service Go there looking for good food You're not going to get good service.

Great Steakhouse

By onerebecca |

I love this steakhouse! Always exceptional service and fabulous drinks and food. It never disappoints and I always make reservations when I’m in Vegas. It’s an old school vibe and the interior is very dark (dim lighting)….love the vibe and takes me back in time that I see in the old movies.

Beautiful but average

By chris s |

We went to Bavettes because it's beautiful. There's no doubt, the restaurant is well designed and creates a terriffic atmosphere. Other than that, I can't really recommend it. To start, the service was a bit off. Our hostess seemed to have a little attitude, subtle but there. Our waiter was over the top obsequious, definitely not a fine dining water. The sommelier was entertaining and knowledgeable, but the wine list was mostly uninspired - Grgich Hills, premium by the glass was Caymus, lots of corporate wines. It would be nice to eliminate most of them and use that knowledge to create an interesting list (just visit Pat at Piero's if you think it's not possible in Vegas.) Our food ranged from good to average. Our oysters were very good, but not really an indicator of a great kitchen. The wedge salad was tasty, but far too much maple bacon made it sweet. Our dry aged bone in rib eye was under seasoned and cut too thin resulting in an overcooked, chewy mess with lots of connecting tissue making it hard to cut and most of the fat rendered completely out of the piece. It was very disappointing to receive a 1" thick ribeye at a restaurant of this calibre. Overall the experience was pleasant, and nothing we ate was bad, but certainly not up to the standard we expected.

Great Food, Service and Atmosphere

By Ken H |

Amazing restuarant and bar. The service, bar or at our table was great. The food quality was great. It was pricey, but well worth it. I would recommend to eat here to all. It was far better than any other place we ate at in Vegas. The only negative if I can say is, out of all of the people in this restaurant, one guy was wearing a baseball hat, Tee shirt, shirts and sneakers, I was shocked that the staff sat this guy at a table. Enforce your dress code, as all others took the time to dress appropriately for this up scale ambiance. That's it to all, I will go again.

30's Paris vibe ..... Very nice

By Jerome G |

Bavette's decor is a set above the traditional dark, wood paneled steakhouse with its 1930's Parisian Art Deco look. Waitstaff is dressed in black and are very professional, no greenhorns here. Every cut and size steak is on the menu as well as huge shellfish towers for the big spenders. The wine list is extensive. Thank goodness we each ordered a "half" salad because they were more than one could eat and still have room for a main course. The wedge and the bacon tomato salads were delicious. My steak frites was as tasty and as tender as could be. For those of you contemplating the short rib Stroganoff beware - it is not anything near a traditional Stroganoff with sour cream sauce. It was cubes of beef sauteed with spice which tasted like nutmeg. Neither of us could eat it so it went back to the kitchen and came off the bill. Too full for dessert the pot of French press coffee was savored.

Style way over substance

By Rob |

This could be an amazing steak restaurant but it’s a reflection of the city it’s in - style over substance. It’s themed as a classic Chicago steak house and certainly looks the part with the traditional decor, but after that it feels more like a speakeasy than restaurant. Good, very expensive, menu choices we’re let down by half our order being wrong, so I had to sit there and let my meal go cold whilst my partner had to wait for hers to be corrected. Our waiter/ server seemed more focused on hitting their scripted marks than actually looking after us and brought us the bill almost the instant we finished our meal - no offer of coffees/ after dinner drinks that you get in London steak houses. For a very expensive meal I expected a 5/5 level of service, atmosphere and overall experience- this is not 5/5 and there are some easy ways that, in my opinion, this restaurant could be improved.

Girls Weekend 2023

By Mrs. McCall |

My best friend and I had our farewell dinner here. Located in the Park MGM. The ambiance is so beautiful and the perfect backdrop for pictures. This is a very sexy restaurant. Perfect for couples. The food was soooo good and very well prepared Josh and Aaron are the best and made sure we were very well taken care of and the hostess up front even offered to help us with our pictures. BRAVO

Awkward situation, badly handled.

By Madeleine T |

As a 32 year old, I didn't appreciate being ID'd by someone younger than me, and told that my husband couldn't have a drink because I didn't have my ID. I'm very clearly over age. Needless to say, super awkward situation made only more awkward by the bartenders saying that if we didn't continue with our reservation (minus drinks) we'd be missing out on 'the best restaurant in Vegas'. It was a very embarrassing situation, poorly handled. We didn't continue with our meal and went to one of the MANY other amazing steak restaurants in Vegas.

Food poisoning from Bavette's on 12/24

By Ben D |

I ate here around 6pm on 12/24 and got severe food poisoning. I want to warn others to avoid this restaurant because I strongly suspect the food is not handled properly.

Great food, service was ok

By emtbobcat |

This place came highly recommended by numerous reviews...It is in Park MGM off the casino floor and can be very dark to navigate. We came to celebrate my sister's milestone birthday. We arrived a little earlier than reserved and was told would be a short wait, but closer to our time. We waited past our time and were seated, but it took a bit of time to get our drink order in and order our meals. The food was excellent quality, though my wife was not satisfied with her meal. The steak I had was tender, the seasoning suggested was out of this world. My sister got a free dessert and enjoyed it a lot. Service started slow, but was more attentive as the evening went. Would definitely visit again.

Stop scrolling and book this already!

By AJ J |

Stop looking at restaurants, book this joint right now! One of the best steakhouses I’ve been to in 19 countries and nearly every state. The food is amazing and the service and atmosphere are second to none. Do yourself a favor and get the bone marrow while you’re here.

Not great for groups

By Barbara M |

We went to this restaurant for dinner. We were a group of nine. We asked for separate bills for each couple. The server said that was not possible, we would have to figure it out ourselves. So after spending a significant amount of money on the dinner, we had to calculate each couples portioned that they owed. The server then said she could then bill each couple separately. Well,it tooka bit of time to figure it all out but it worked out. Coming from a country/ city where separate bills are very normal. Overall, this was a great disappointment. Why we had to do the math was mind poggling. Put a damper on the special dinner.

Old school cool

By gal7onthego |

Walking into Bavette feels like going back in time to a classic, dark smoky steakhouse. Old school cool vibes and jazzy music. Seats are generous and comfy just like the food. If you’re lucky to have AJ as your server, you are in for a treat. He’s warm, charming and the ultimate host. Happy to attend your every need and offer some pleasant conversation too. The shrimp cocktail was fresh, generously sized and portioned. Perfect to split for two. The mashed potatoes were incredible. Lumps where you’d actually want them and so creamy and buttery. A perfect accompaniment for a hearty steak. The New York strip wagyu was very flavorful and cut off the bone. Don’t skip the chocolate cream pie. Even if you take it home for a midnight snack, it’s a perfect end to a meal. It’s a spendy night out, but also quite a luxurious one. If you have a special occasion Have it here.

Go easy on the salt and garlic

By RaithReviews |

The setting is fantastic, but the service and food were both below par. We had pre-dinner drinks at the bar and the barman was pleasant enough. However, when we asked about being seated for our reservation it seemed like a real imposition. We were directed back to the entrance to ask the maitre d'. I guess he'd already had his tip - why would he assist. When we were seated the service was slow; the bread came minutes before the main. It's a steakhouse, but they did offer vegetarian options. Although I wish they hadn't. The stroganoff was actually just a garlic pasta, but there was so much garlic it was barely edible. The mash potato was a paste and also salt/garlic laden. We felt the moisture leaving our mouths. The friend whose party it was had the steak, but he was surprised there was no cheese sauce available. Instead he was given a slab of cheese on top, which was overpowering. As his veggie friends we were always likely to struggle, but he'd looked forward to this restaurant so it was a huge disappointment for him too. The service was so slow we opted out of desserts. A sensible decision because it took an age for the check too.

Excellent service & good food

By kristielynn |

We enjoyed our meal very much. The food was delicious and our server was spot on. My only complaint was the seating. In the section we were seated, the seats were more like low bar lounge chairs with deep cushions and made it somewhat uncomfortable to eat. Prices seemed reasonable for a steak house on the strip.

Did not live up the reviews.

By NNWSLARRY |

I found the place rather cramped, to many tables jammed close together so you end up having to endure the conversations of the tables around you. I ordered the black cod and it was two very small portions, but it was excellent. The bread they serve is good, but my baked potato was barely warm and did not melt the butter on it, also the corn side dish was terrible, my salad was good. Service was really excellent, both the host and my server. Not a bad experience but definitely not worth the money.

10/10 would do again

By itsxrystal |

They don’t take reservations, we got there when it opened & it was packed! We sat at the bar & were served promptly. Excellent service , excellent food. The peppered duck for an app and stuffed avocado crab salad - did not disappoint! Felt like a social hour more than stuffy dinner time. 10/10 would do again

Amazing old style steak house, respite from Vegas.

By Volenti |

Off the casino floor into the subdued lighting, dark wood, leather, of a real steakhouse experience. A great vibe. Wonderful room, attentive service, top level food. You will not regret this choice.

Great food. Great atmosphere.

By Alex G |

My steak was cooked to perfection. The sides, especially the truffled mac were excellent. Our service was top notch and the atmosphere of the restaurant was great. Highly recommend.

Great food, subtle racism.

By shana y |

Subtle racism…..so we have busted here on a few occasions. The food and service are exceptional. One thing to note. They always place the patrons of color in a small room off to the right side of the restaurant. On the nights that Usher is performing, especially. It is sad that in 2022 we are still treated this way.

Outstanding Dinner

By GWsugar |

On a mother-daughter weekend at the Parks MGM hotel, we had dinner at Bavette’s Steakhouse. I love great restaurants and this one made my list. The first thing you notice is the elegant atmosphere. Old world classic at its best. It was the whole dining experience that made it so wonderful. From the good food and drinks to the attentive service provided by our servers. Next time in Vegas we will return.

Nice post wedding dinner for family.

By DBLJAM |

We eat at the original in Chicago frequently. Wanted to show our family one of our favorite restaurants and it's very close. The seafood is always so fresh and everyone loved the tower. The lyonnaise salad was a bit bland to the original and the steaks were all good, but not quite the quality and cook you'd get in Chicago. Only we knew. Had made the reservation with the restaurant manager a month in advance. The hostess was difficult when trying to increase the reservation for more of the wedding party. She said the person who created the reservation should have said they can't increase reservations or guarantee tables. The party might be set at multiple tables. They have a staffing issue. The waiter was excellent though.

Amazing chicken at a steakhouse! :)

By tinatot |

We absolutely loved this place. The atmosphere is amazing. It feels like a speakeasy and the vibe starts the minute you walk in the doors. They have a large, cozy waiting area that enters into the main restaurant. It is dark, so if you’re like me you might need to use your phone light on the menu (an adjacent couple at the bar had to do the same thing and we got a chuckle out of it). Here is the biggest surprise: I know it’s a steakhouse, but seriously: order the roasted chicken. It is PHENOMENAL. My husband ordered steak and liked it, but in helping me finish the chicken, decided that was better. We loved it enough we went back a couple of days later and my husband ordered the chicken and I got a burger. The burger was really good but a little tricky to eat due to its size. Great service both times. Absolutely loved this place, and that we are still talking about how good that chicken was!

5 Stars with One Area for Improvement

By caymanandcasey |

It was an excellent dining experience as always. We all know that Bavette's is popular and for good reason. The food is outstanding, and the servers and bar staff are top notch. However, the host stand is too often arrogant and unfriendly. A restaurant of this caliber should not have its "front door" staffed the way that it is. If we did not have the extensive history with this restaurant, we would likely look elsewhere if our first experience was with the hosts at this restaurant.

Great experience

By Dennis H |

I’ve been to many steakhouses in my lifetime and our recent visit here had to be one of my best experiences at a fine steakhouse. The steaks (both of us got filets), hors d’oeuvres (shrimp scampi!), salads (lyonnaise was great) and deserts were all top notch. Couldn’t have tasted better. Service was outstanding, especially the server at our table who was extremely knowledgeable and personable. Will definitely return here when we return to Las Vegas.

Don't miss Bavette's.....incredible service and food.

By Robert W |

My wife and I have traveled to Las Vegas three or four times a year for several years, and this is one spot we go to each visit. The staff is welcoming and the food is perfection. Even if you just sit at the bar for a low-key dining experience, they treat you incredibly well. Last but not least, the ambience of the restaurant is beautiful. Cheers!!!

It was ok….

By TonyD |

We went to Bavettes 2 years ago and, despite being stupidly expensive we had a lovely evening. On our visit last week the eye watering cost was outshadowed by a less than great waitress who was not very patient, bordering aggressive and tried to get rid of us after 2 hours. When you pay a waitress over $400 you should expect better service. The food was ok, had better, had worse. We agreed that we won’t be going back.

Dissappointing

By Howard F |

The atmosphere is really nice. The service very good and attentive. The bread and butter, though you have to pay for, which is a first for me in a restaurant, was very good. However, I ordered the Chicago cut ribeye steak and it was very chewy, a good amount of grizzle and nowhere near the quality of the top steakhouses, of which Bavette’s considers itself. Very disappointing.

Carlos Made the Meal

By Andy S |

We enjoyed a fantastic meal with incredible service from Carlos. He was charismatic, helpful and genuinely funny – he looked after us throughout the entire evening. The food was outstanding. The steak was full of flavour and perfectly cooked, and the sides were just as impressive. It’s certainly on the pricier side, but if you’re treating yourself, this is an excellent choice.

Tasty!

By Hayley G |

We went here for an extended family dinner and it was fantastic. Great service with professional waiters. Food was delicious with a nice atmosphere. We will be back again !

Incredible steak v incredibly bad customer service

By NH54321 |

My husband and I had dinner at Bavettes whilst on our honeymoon in Vegas. Overall whilst the majority of the dishes we had were good the customer service was poor and so wouldn’t come again or recommend it. Pros: Steak was huge and amazing - really well cooked. My husband had the Classic ribeye and up there with some of the best he has had ! Majority of sides were good - sprouts were amazing, fries were good. Atmosphere of restaurant is very cool, super sexy, moody lighting, plush booths, dark panelled walls etc. Cocktails were good, I had a champagne smash Cons: Truffle Mac and cheese was dry and flavourless, no taste of truffle or cheese at all Customer service just bad for a variety of reasons. Firstly, we had noted on the booking that it was our honeymoon. We received a warm welcome from the front desk with a “happy honeymoon!” greeting. This was the first and last pleasant interaction we had with staff during our visit. Our waitress was pretty cold to us the entire time we were there which was at odds with how she interacted with every other customer. We didn’t receive any acknowledgment that it was a special occasion, the menu wasn’t explained to us, we had to ask for a wine list (which seemed to shock and confuse her, she reacted by saying ok I can get you one but you know we are known for our cocktails?? Seemed weird to us, I think at any decent steak restaurant you would be given a wine menu, who doesn’t want a red wine with their steak!?) We spotted that every single other party around us was also visiting the restaurant for a special occasion (mostly birthdays) and were given a glass of complementary champagne on arrival and a warm congratulations! It became pretty awkward throughout the meal as we never received this type of welcome or service. At the end of the meal we raised this and asked why we hadn’t received the champagne or the same level of service as those around us. We were given no apologies by the manager or our waitress, apparently it was just an oversight (but never got a sorry) we eventually were given the champagne in “to go” cups to take with us…not having quite the same impact and not what we expected from what is supposed to be an upmarket restaurant! I ordered the salmon for my main. The waitress described the salmon as medium cooked. However when it arrived it was over cooked and dry. I politely explained this and asked if I could have another one. Our waitress at this point was nowhere to be seen so we had to explain this to another member of staff. They took the overcooked salmon away and eventually the manager came over with a new salmon but no apologies. Our waitress looked on as the manager gave me the new salmon but didn’t apologise or really say anything. Eventually she said “usually we have guests complaining that it isn’t cooked enough so yeah…these things happen” again quite a strange reaction and no sorry, no gesture to make up for the mistake etc. At this point my husband is half way though my meal, the sides were cold, and so the whole experience is out of sync. The reaction from staff made the whole thing quite uncomfortable. When we get the bill we were surprised to see the salmon on there. Sure, they did fix the problem but their attitude wasn’t great and they had messed up first time - it impacted the timings of the meal and you just don’t expect these sort of errors in such an expensive place. We would have expected it to be removed from the bill as an apology. We queried this with the manager, along with the free champagne point, eventually the salmon was taken off the bill but only after we pushed for it. We were really surprised as we expected a much better level of customer service from a premium restaurant. It would be standard practice basically anywhere else we have every been (whether that is the UK, other countries or elsewhere in the US) to have the salmon taken off the bill without having to ask in this type of restaurant where you are paying serious $$$ for the food, service and ambience. I haven’t experienced such poor customer service in an apparently “premium”restaurant before. Overall we were disappointed by the customer service at Bavettes and although the majority of the food was good, we wouldn’t go back as the whole experience wasn’t a positive one, which is a shame. If there hadn’t have been the “oversight” with the champagne, the salmon had been properly cooked, the staff a bit nicer, we would be giving it quite a different review. However the mistakes were quite fundamental and the reaction from staff created an atmosphere that ruined the meal.

Awesome food and great service!

Funny, i have eaten at most MGM Steakhouses and I have stayed at Park MGM several times and have never eaten at Bavette’s. We sat at the bar and had excellent service. We shared a wedge salad that had aside of bacon, bestI have ever had. My wife had a filet, me a ribeye, both were exceptional, mashed potatoes side was plenty for both of us. Great experience and we will be back!

A night in heaven

By Mark N |

Pure bliss is all I can say. From the moment we were shown to our table to the time we left the food, wine, service, ambience was just perfect. We had a great chat with Sean the sommelier and his knowledge was amazing but it was nice to suggest some Irish whiskies to him that he should try! If we can get back, we will.

Easily one of the top steak houses I have been to

By ScottRoby |

Bavette's was really an amazing experience from the moment you walk inside. From the outside you are in the Park MGM casino which basically does not lend itself to what you will find the minute you walk through the door. It is dark inside and the decor speaks elegance and distinction. We did not wait long for our dinner reservation and were led to the speakeasy part which is a back bar area with tables. While I did not like the smallish table they sat us at initially, it turned out to be fine. The food and cocktails were all amazing. No complaints at all and the service was impeccable. It is not the cheapest steakhouse but it is worth the experience. Highly suggest making reservations as it is hard to get into.

Steak.

I went here for dinner with my daughters. The waiter was great and even had an English accent. The shrimp were good. The bread was good. My ribeye was great. They also have a great bourbon selection.

Disappointing Start, Redeemed by Excellent Food and Service

By Mary H |

Our recent visit to Bavette’s had a frustrating start, though thankfully, the evening turned around in the end. We had a 10:30 pm reservation, and like many other guests, we were coming from a concert on the property that wrapped at 10:35 pm. It took us about 10 minutes to walk over, and we arrived at the restaurant at exactly 10:45 pm—within their stated 15-minute grace period. However, we found ourselves behind another couple checking in. When it was finally our turn to speak with the hostess, she told us that we were now “one minute late” and that our table had been released. To make things worse, the restaurant’s system automatically charged my card $50 for what they labeled as a no-show. We explained to the hostess that we had been waiting in line within the grace period, but she insisted there was nothing she could do. Despite the fact that just one minute had passed, she claimed the table had already been reassigned, and no other tables were available—leaving the bar as our only option. Feeling frustrated, we asked to speak with a manager. Thankfully, the manager resolved the issue by reversing the no-show charge and finding us a table. Once we were seated, the food and service were fantastic, and the waitstaff truly elevated the experience, helping us salvage what had been a rough start. While the food and service were stellar, the rigidity around the grace period left us disappointed. Two things stood out as particularly frustrating: Inflexibility despite the concert timing: Given that the concert was hosted on the same property, it seemed reasonable to allow some flexibility for concert-goers trying to make their reservation. Being penalized for waiting in line: We arrived within the grace period, but because we weren’t actively checking in before the cut-off, we were marked as late. This kind of strictness, especially when guests are physically present and waiting, felt unreasonable. While Bavette’s food and service redeemed the night, the check-in experience left a bad taste. If you’re planning a visit—especially after an event—be prepared for the grace period to be enforced down to the second. I hope management reconsiders these rigid policies to provide a more welcoming experience for future guests.

Very good

By David B |

Food was excellent. Bread service was great. I had the filet and a wedge. Service great. Worth a visit when you come to Las Vegas.

Great setting

By GavinBlair2 |

We spent Valentine’s Day dinner here. We sat at the bar and Dennis and Hollywood were great. Dennis has been there since the Monte Carlo days. We split a steak, fries and the corn elote. The steak was the only downside of this meal. For the price it was just so so. The corn elote was amazing! We also got the chocolate cream pie, which was good. Love the ambiance most of this place, you can lose track of time in here.

Bavette's Steakhouse is the definition of perfection!

By jrpeterson5 |

Bavette’s Steakhouse is absolute perfection. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to start our trip to Vegas with dinner here, first timers to Bavette’s. The bar was set high for the rest of the week. There is nothing I would change here. Our server Aaron was first class and provided excellent service and has great knowledge not only about the food preparation but the history of Bavette’s. While we didn’t have steak while here, everything we did order was perfection. We started with the Baked Crab Cake with was nothing short of pure crab meat. We couldn’t decide on which salad to enjoy, so we ordered both the Wedge Salad and Lyonnaise Salad…..oh my, the thick cut bacon on the wedge, and that soft boiled egg on the lyonnaise, wow! We had the Griddled Cheeseburger and Brussel Sprouts to round it out. I will completely agree with the experts – this cheeseburger is easily top 5 in Vegas! The only two regrets we have is not saving room for their famous Chocolate Crème Pie and not visiting the Speakeasy for a before or after dinner drink. But this gives us reason to return! Bavette’s – the quintessential vision of Las Vegas dining and ambiance with the passion of serving amazing food and drinks. Way! To! Go!

Fine dining without being pretentious

By BeachCityGirl |

Spectacular setting, classy, above and beyond customer service and delicious meal. We were happy to get reservations. Plan ahead; if you're open to it, there is walk-on availability at the bar. If you get the opportunity to have Brian as your server you'll experience dining at its finest. He was attentive, had great suggestions and made us feel as though we were the only ones in the restaurant. Thank you for a great evening.

Anniversary Dinner

By SSA |

"My wife and I were there to celebrate our anniversary. We received many wonderful reviews of the restaurant and were expecting to dine in a high-end steakhouse. The first table we were sat, was in front of a service area. We asked to be moved to a quieter table, where they sat us in one of the "speakeasy" rooms advising that it would be much quieter in this area. Shortly thereafter, we were surrounded by two very large and raucous parties making our evening very uncomfortable and anxious To leave.

Bavette’s Steakhouse Park MGM

By virgin n |

The classic steakhouse atmosphere finds you sitting in dim light surrounded by gorgeous wood. The mood starts at the door and into the waiting area and continues on into the dining room. It may be a bit too dim for some, as I did witness folks using their phones to read the menu. The food and drinks were very good. Our server was very knowledgeable on various techniques and spice rubs for steak preparation. The royal sundae is big enough for two!

Loved our visit

By Hania rose |

Although we couldn’t get a reservation, we were able to get a spot at the bar! There we had the best meal of our Vegas visit! Ronnie our waiter was just fabulous! The filet mignon steaks were cooked to perfection with a yummy peppercorn crust. The salad was yummy as was the carrot cake. We met some great people at the bar and we just had an overall enjoyable time. The short wait to get a table was worth it! We highly recommend Bavettes and will be back next time we are in Vegas. There’s no doubt that it’s pricey, but you won’t be disappointed in the quality of the food and beautiful ambience!!!

Delicious food with beautiful ambience!

What a delicious steak and salad we had! Beautiful décor, dark tones and ambience in this restaurant. Celebrated my husbands birthday and we were given complimentary chocolate ice cream.

Great food at this place

Excellent restaurant with excellent service. Wait staff so knowledgeable about items on the menu and extend very good suggestions for the perfect meal.

Delicious

By LSSLV |

Excellent steakhouse. Meat cooked perfectly. Sides delicious. There were 7, yes, 7 huge shrimp in the shrimp cocktail! Drinks were perfect and generous. Desserts didn't disappoint either. Room is sexy. Always on our to go list every time we visit Las Vegas.

Beautiful Restaurant, Poor Service, Average Food

By Matthew L |

We booked a reservation at Bavette's for my daughter's 21st birthday after a friend insisted we had to try it. We were really excited, but the experience turned out to be a mixed bag. Ambiance: The restaurant is undeniably beautiful. We were seated quickly in a quiet area, and the atmosphere delivers exactly what you would expect from a high-end steakhouse—moody, elegant, and comfortable. The Service (The Letdown): This is where things went wrong. My daughter ordered a specific aged rum she had been wanting to try. When it arrived, the liquid was clear, but we knew it should have been a tan color. When we pointed this out, the waiter argued with us. He even brought the bottle over (which was brown) and insisted the clear drink came from it. It was obviously a mistake, but they refused to admit it. We asked for a manager, but they never came to the table. It was a frustrating dampen on the birthday celebration. The Food: The Steaks: Honestly, they were just decent. For the price and reputation, I’ve definitely had better steaks elsewhere. The Surprise Winner: One person in our party ordered the Cheeseburger, and it was fantastic. Everyone at the table tasted it and agreed—we would come back for the burger, but we would steer clear of the steaks. Verdict: Overall, it was a "good" but not great experience. If you go, the cheeseburger is the hidden gem, but be prepared for potential service hiccups. I have to assume there are better steakhouse options in Vegas for the price.

Fillet melts in your mouth!

By Jeanne G |

This was our first visit in this restaurant and first stay at the MGM park. We were going to go to another steakhouse, but it was pouring rain outside so we decided to check out Babette’s. We were not disappointed! My husband and I both had the filet mignon. It melted in my mouth and I had a big baked potato too. The baked potato was delicious. It was a little dark in the restaurant but we loved the ambience. The service was outstanding. In fact everyone at the park MGM was so nice. The best part is that we can’t smell cigarette smoke at the park MGM! We will definitely be back here!

“French” style steakhouse is actually “Italian”

By WorldTrvl |

Excellent lamb chops! But the baked goat cheese in a “French” steakhouse should have been served the French way, so it was a bit of a surprise when it came out in red tomato sauce, which didn’t pair well with Chardonnay. Our server Dustin was super! It’s a great atmosphere and totally different from the casino buzz just outside. Overall a nice experience and I’d return again for the lamb chops!

Has something changed? From flawless to flat

By Lindsey J |

We visit Bavettes every time we’re in Vegas (4-5 times a year) for an all out steakhouse experience. We always come back bc we love the atmosphere and the food has never missed. This trip however was leaving us wishing for more. The cocktails we received as a “thanks for being platinum” were warm and not good. The cocktails we ordered were ok - the old fashions were unbalanced. The negronis were excellent. We always get the scampi and shrimp cocktail for starters. They were fantastic along with the sourdough. Our mains is where everything fell apart. Three out of four of our steaks (6 oz Dutchess Filet) were overdone - much much past medium rare and had to be sent back. By the time we got new steaks, the sides were ordered (Brussels, corn, potatoes and Mac) had gone cold and our 4th diner was done eating. In addition, the dish I dream about is shockingly the Brussels. They are usually caramelized to perfection but they were quite crunchy and raw. It just wasn’t a cohesive dining experience to say the least. We were offered dessert which we accepted but we were all full. I think next time we will shop around for a new steakhouse.

Memorable & delicious dining experience! Great atmosphere & personnel!

By ShiJack |

Incredible dining experience. Bavette's Steakhouse will become a favorite restaurant destination in LV! Hope to visit again soon! Portions are generous & shareable so that a couple can taste several items. Delicious steak and strange to say, but the best mash potatoes we've ever tasted!

A nice place for special events!

By 181averyn |

Lovely atmosphere and awesome service! The fried chicken was a little too crunchy for me. The portion was HUGE -3 big pieces of chicken breast. The 10oz filet was excellent and cooked perfectly. The dry-aged, bone-in strip was seasoned well but a tad over cooked from the medium rare that was ordered… slightly over medium. The wedge salad (chopped) really needed some more or more flavorful dressing. The goat cheese dip with toast was out of this world! Hubby thought it was a little too gamey for his taste but I loved it and took the rest back to the room and ate it later! The garlic mashed potatoes were good. The carrot cake was a little heavy on the spices we thought but was good. 2 of us were celebrating out birthdays and received delicious little ice cream sundaes.

Incredible Steakhouse

By goaliemother |

Fantastic ambiance. Incredible service. Amazing food. Best steak I have had in a long time. Was cut off bone and sliced with a very good Bernaise sauce. Shrimp cocktail was amazing….huge shrimp, a great quantity. Brussel sprouts side along with mushroom size were exceptional. Wines however are very expensive. Not delighted with the Pinot Grigio. Husband had a red. Would highly recommend this place. Make a reservation….don’t be disappointed.

Fantastic steakhouse

By Tashypooh |

We visited this steak house for our anniversary with another good friends couple. We started off at the bar at the end of the restaurant and the barman made us amazing cocktails. We then went to our table and each received a surprise and complimentary glass of champagne. My husband had ribeye and I had the lamb chops. All of our food was absolutely delicious including our friends. Would highly recommend - a little pricey for sure but the food and service were worth it!

It has the right vibe!

By kimmysue42 |

My friend and I went here for dinner before a show at the Park MGM. We were just walk-ins and were able to go to the bar to find seating. The restaurant has a great old steakhouse vibe with dark lighting and Richwood and a nice bar that is sent her to all of it. Here there’s a great speakeasy in the back but we didn’t end up making it there. Next time. When we first arrived at the bar one bartender was not very attentive so we switched to the other side and had great service. I had a lovely sidecar to drink and my girlfriend had a fun champagne vodka drink as well. We shared the baked goat cheese, the Elote style corn and the truffle Mac & cheese. I would highly recommend the latter two but the goat cheese appetizer had too much tomato sauce for my liking- overpowered the goat cheese flavor. We are definitely going to bring our husbands here the next time we come to Las Vegas.

800 pm on a monday

By joel D |

Wife had the short rib stroganoff. It was small and way way to sweet. I had the 22 oz ribeye. I had to send the first one back it was Luke warm on the outside. Second try it was hot but NOT JUICY at all. Zero juice on the plate after cutting into and eating about half. It was not worth 98 bucks any day of the week. Service was great but couldn’t eat the steak.

The service is 5 star

By 553chan |

Love Bavettes! Was so impressed with the service and food that we went twice this trip. We usually split the perfect French dip and lyonnaise salad with the amazingly thick cut bacon, and even though our bill is small compared to most, we are always treated as if we’re a $1000 table. Attention to detail and anticipating wants and needs before they’re requested is a particular strength. Somehow Bavettes has emerged from covid’s shadow stronger than ever—which is extremely rare these days.

Nice couples dinner

By Chris S |

Fantastic steakhouse, everything about it was great! Highly recommend the ribeye and mushroom's were the best I have ever had.

Impeccable service

By aks001 |

Our server anticipated our wants and needs. Refreshing balanced French Martini. Crab cake was fresh and homemade tartar sauce was perfect. Filet was cooked perfectly.

A MUST!

By Tina |

A MUST! From start to finish Bavette’s was delightful. Steaks and sides cooked to perfection. Bartenders and waitstaff are incredible. Thanks to Ronnie, Aaron & Rudy for helping us celebrate and making the night special.

Disappointing decline

By DrP |

This was my third visit within a year since its reopening after COVID shut down. Prior to shutdown, it was always outstanding. One of my favorites. Now, after three tries over a year, I won't go back. I had the same exact problem all three times. Had to send the steaks back because they were overcooked medium to medium-well when ordered medium-rare and cold sides. All three times. The replacement streaks all came cooked correctly, but lacked robust flavor for rib eyes and were quite dry. Not a single drop of juice whatsoever even in the center. These are listed on the menu as classic NY rib eyes, not dry-aged rib eyes! Service was quite inattentive. Management brought the new steaks but did not bother to check back again after that. I was charged full price for all items, no item was removed and nothing more was offered as gestures of good will -- despite all the problems. For $160 for one person, with no alcohol, I would expect better quality, service, and accountability.

Fabulous service & great food & atmosphere

By nicolaleeds_UK |

Been to vegas many times but this was our first visit to Bavette and we’ll definitely return! First class service from John, what a great guy. It was a quick stop for us but still memorable. The fresh sourdough starter was beautiful. The fillet was perfectly cooked and the sides were huge so definitely good value to share. The mash was to die for!! We will be back on our next visit in the Spring. Thanks John!

Saved the best till last and it was worth the wait

By elliemrocks |

Decided to book in advance, so that we had a lovely treat at the end of our holiday. It was absolutely well worth the wait. From the moment we arrived to when we left we were spoiled by every member of the team. As for the food, it was exceptional. So much so, my husband now tells me he wants mashed potato done the same way as Bavettes. My beef dish was so tender, juicy and full of flavour. The spicy fried chicken my husband had was also incredible. We both ended up having to take lots with us which we ate the next day such were the portion sizes. If we'd had room we would have almost certainly tried dessert (chocolate cream pie) but sadly we were beaten. The atmosphere at Bavettes is also really lovely - very relaxed and everyone was having a great time. If you want a treat this is definitely worth adding to your list.

Great steak dinner

By Liz B |

Great ambiance. Food was fantastic. Shout out to our server Dustin who provided the best service of anywhere we are while in Vegas.

A LOT of food...great ambiance

By p_s_carpenter |

Excellent Steakhouse in LV. Once you find it!!! The City Center is a maze -- especially if you're coming in from another property. The lobby is great. The bar is great with a great selection; kinda pricey. Pro-tip: hit the hotel bar just outside the restaurant and bring your drink in; maybe a better selection, a little cheaper, and WAY faster service. Food was decadent and excellent. The tomato salad was a MASSIVE beefsteak tomato (split it - seriously!). The shrimp scampi appetizer, again, MASSIVE (split). We had 5 in our group and order 3 app's to split and I couldn't finish my filet (and I never leave soldiers on the battlefield). Too much food. Wine selection is extensive. And expensive, but not shocking as it IS Vegas...and located in one of the newer, trendier properties. But still, better know what you want because the sommelier WILL upsell you if you're not careful. None of us cared for the wine he suggested that would "be a perfect compliment..." to the first bottle; $250 wasted. Lesson learned. I would definitely return. I would also definitely skip any kind of lunch/snack several hours before going so there is no need to take home leftovers (in Vegas...that always goes well...for the homeless person you give it to so you're not carrying a doggy bag). Pace yourself. If you can get a table in one of the Semi-Private side rooms vs the main Dining Room, recommend -- especially if you need to talk shop.

One of the best steakhouses I’ve ever been to

By Rob |

A couple weeks ago my family and I were in Vegas and we ate here for dinner. My mom thought it would be a half decent restaurant something kind of nice and fancy for the family. She was 100% right! The food was phenomenal as well as the service. I will definitely be eating here again on my next Vegas vacation!!!

Strangely disappointing for such a well-regarded steakhouse

By A4A |

I had been intending to visit Bavette’s Steakhouse in Las Vegas since it first opened, so this experience was particularly disappointing. I booked ahead using the online reservation system (which automatically identifies me as an MGM VIP, as I hold status with MGM), thinking an early dinner on our first full day after arrival would be ideal since jet lag etc. Our reservation was for 8:30 p.m., but by 7:45 we were both exhausted, so we went down early to see if we could be seated ahead of schedule. There were plenty of open tables, which remained the case all evening, but the reception staff made no effort to accommodate us. They simply waved us off and said, “Your reservation is for 8:30.” When I asked if we could sit at the bar instead, they gestured toward two open seats and said we could take those. Not exactly a warm welcome. Once we sat down, things didn’t improve. The bartender barely acknowledged us, handed us menus without saying a word, and didn’t ask what we’d like to drink until after we’d ordered food. It was a weekday night early in the week, not busy by any measure, yet the entire experience felt indifferent and transactional. I hope I am not being cynical and that the bartender’s poor service wasn’t because he heard our English accents. Interestingly, once he ran our card and saw that we were listed as MGM VIPs, he did warm up considerably. I would hate to think that service levels differ depending on where staff assume a guest is from or what they expect to receive as a tip or whether a guest is a VIP. In my view, if service is poor, a gratuity should certainly not be considered automatic as it’s meant to reflect the quality of the experience. We did tip the staff at Bavette’s the required amount, but in truth, the service was so poor that it wasn’t deserved and it stung a bit. Let’s do food : we shared the classic ribeye and ordered sides of mashed potatoes and corn. The entire meal arrived within about seven minutes — and while I appreciate efficiency, that’s a bit extreme. The mashed potatoes had a hard crust on top, and without me even commenting on it, the waiter told me, “You’ll want to stir that up to get rid of the crust.” Not exactly the kind of thing one expects to hear in a fine steakhouse. The steak itself was over-seasoned and lacked much depth of flavour. Was it our order, or as someone else on the Las Vegas Forum suggested - something that someone else had sent back? I know my steak, this was not great steak. My husband enjoyed it more than I did, but by that point, I was already disengaged from the whole experience. The room itself is beautifully decorated — it’s a very pretty space with an elegant, slightly vintage feel. The environment is very attractive, but the charm of the setting doesn’t make up for the fact that the service wasn’t ideal. Gallagher’s, by comparison, is more old-fashioned overall and doesn’t have the same ambiance as Bavette’s, but the food there was far better prepared, and the wait staff were attentive and clearly knowledgeable about what they were serving. I left Bavette’s irritated enough that I skipped dessert, even though I’d been looking forward to trying their pie. I decided to save that for another restaurant that seemed to care a bit more about the guests sitting in front of them. For us, when we stay Center Strip, the steakhouse we now choose will probably be Gallagher’s, unless I try Jean-Georges. When we stay at Fontainebleau, it will be Don’s Prime — or perhaps another option nearby once we’ve tried it. Carver Steak maybe? It’s hard to change a negative impression once it’s been formed, and that’s the problem. With heavy conference traffic, these establishments often don’t seem to care whether they make a good impression or not — but for paying guests, that lack of care makes all the difference. Once a person forms a habit they’re less likely to deviate and try a new thing. I hope that in some way these reports get read by someone working in these restaurants, because if they did, perhaps they might consider addressing some of the issues that arise. This level of poor service across some MGM restaurants seems to be becoming insidious, and that’s a real shame for what should be world-class dining experiences. Let’s get back to what we were previously experiencing.

perfection, food, service atmosphere, music, all perfect

By idrawart |

we did an early dinner so we had more time to play slots. It was my friends first time at Park MGM. H thought Eatitly was awesome and liked that there was no smoking in the casino. This was my first time at Bavette's. He said i was a 12 out of 10. The ambiance is like vintage parlor, beaded lamps, cozy booths, big bar full of liquor and patrons all chatting with each other. We ordered Sourdough bread that came 2 hug pieces with soft butter, it was perfection, super soft inside the crusty outside. We both had salads, I ordered the petite filet and it was delicious and perfectly done medium RARE! he had the stroganoff. we were too full for dessert but we did drink a lot of their fresh squeezed lemonade. Our waitress AnnaMarie was awesome and fun. It ran about 200 for both of is to eat (incuding the tip). I highly recommend for the food and experience. one thing we really liked was the background music, not too loud, just right and we could hear each other talk. My friend mentioned that men's bathroom only has one stall, so if you need to go and some is using it, you are gonna have to trek into the casino a bit. Park MGM does need more bathrooms in it's casino, they are far and few.

Back at Bavette’s… AGAIN!

By Kay L |

I absolutely love this place!! From the low-lit old world steakhouse ambiance, with the velvety chairs and antiqued Tiffany-style lamps, to the exceptional butler service that has never disappointed… I will always give this experience 5- stars. I’m no food and bev critic, but I’ve dined in over 87 steakhouses in 17 countries and the one is one of my top 10 favorites. The petit filet is always prepared perfectly medium, the baked goat cheese is so indulgent, and the cocktails are hard to follow up. I’m a platinum MGM member and dined here more recently for my birthday, solo. I must say, the service was impeccable. I was greeted with a complimentary glass of champagne, followed by an amuse bouche (compliments of the chef) and then a signature cocktail as a thank you for membership. I felt like a princess! Of course the service is always over the top here, befitting of Bavette’s vibe. One tip, in case management is reading this: a gues should never overhear waitstaff bad-mouthing other guests while at the wait station.

Great atmosphere, staff, drinks and food.

By Rob |

A wonderful atmosphere, waitstaff was top notch, cocktails were delicious and the food was great. Don’t even get me started on the house made sourdough. Incredible. The lamb chops were much smaller than I anticipated, which is the only semi-negative thing I can say about this visit. I will return for sure.

Food very disappointing

By J K |

We decided to splurge and have an expensive dinner out. We were very disappointed in our food. The restaurant is extremely dimly lit, difficult to read the menu. Our waitress was polite and efficient. However, our entrees were not even average. The salmon was extremely plain and the chicken was dry and tough. We probably should have been honest and said our food was unacceptable. Our meal came to $140 without our tip. We cannot recommend Bavette’s and am puzzled at the high reviews others left. Sadly, it definitely wasn’t our experience.

First Visit To Bavette’s

By Steven |

My wife and I visited Bavette’s for the first time on December 27th 2024. The service was excellent and the food was overall good. The crab cake appetizer was our favorite part of the meal! It was full of fresh crab with very little of any other fillers. We ordered the classic Chicago cut rib-eye steak. It was very tasty, but much tougher than expected. Maybe, we were unlucky, and just got a steak without enough fat in it? The side orders are big and are shareable. They charge for bread which was thick crusted sourdough. When the average bill for two people runs between $200 - $300 when you include tax and tip, it seems petty to charge for bread! Overall, we enjoyed our meals and would return. We will probably try a different cut of steak next time. Steven G.

Art Deco steakhouse well worth a visit!

Bavettes Steakhouse was a wonderful surprise in that the food was excellent, staff was engaging and professional- and the atmosphere was spectacular!

Best Steakhouse in Vegas

By ameetvedd |

We are always looking for a great steak dinner no matter where we go and we found it at Bavette's. The atmosphere is like a 1920's speakeasy with red velvet booths, mahogany wood and dim lighting. The Old Fashions live up to their name and the steaks live up to their reputation. The baked goat cheese is a must to start with. We went with the Chicago cut ribeye it was cooked to perfection and served with a side of bearnaise and the brussel sprouts were the best I've ever had. Must try if looking for some great steak in VEgas.

Great Atmosphere, better food

The food was amazing and the service was incredible. Brian made it a great evening for us. I'd definitely recommend the salmon Caesar salad and the filet mignon. Will definitely be back here next time I'm in LV.

Outstanding

By Traveler10038 |

Outstanding atmosphere, service, decor and food. You wouldn't think you're even in a casino hotel when you step foot in the door, and that's difficult to do in Vegas. This was the second time here for dinner. It's cozy and has the feel of a jazzy supper club. Plus, you can actually have a conversation as the noise level is great.

Don't miss this European steakhouse. Unlike any you have ever experienced before

By Mark A |

Wonderful steakhouse with a European flair and ambiance. Great bar area with old school bartenders. Food and service were excellent. The decor was extraord8nary and unique

An Experience So Good It Was Like Hitting the Jackpot!

By Leslie R |

Let me start with Garth the Bartender - this guy should be cloned! I will get to the food, service, ambience, etc. in a moment, but first, I need to recommend that everyone who dines at the bar sit in his quadrant/half (or however they divide up the bar). He makes a tasty cocktail and creates the most hospitable environment. Truly, he made us feel so welcome and taken care of that I would go back just to have that experience again. Alright, onto the food... It was excellent. We had the filet and mushrooms, and both were delicious. If I were to order the mushrooms again, I would leave off the crispy onions, but that is just my personal preference (my friend ate all of them). The whole dinner was rich and decadent - quintessential Vegas. The service and the people in this restaurant are really great. We went in without a reservation (trying to get a bite before a concert). The place was packed but we were told to head to the bar and see if we could get a spot. Two different people helped us to get seats, telling us who had just paid and was getting up, and then ushered us to seats. They were so pleasant and helpful, it was truly refreshing. Lastly, the ambience/vibe is dark and swanky. It is very well done and easy to settle into for a drink or two and an indulgent meal. It was just a great experience from start-to-finish.

Top Notch Service at Bavette’s

By Charlene M |

We had the sizzling scampi appetizer. Large garlic shrimp. Entree was the Bone in Filet Mignon. Very tender and arrived quickly, the garlic mashed potatoes were perfect as a side.Robert was our waiter, he made excellent suggestions.

Very nice place. We hadn't made a reservation, but still got the chance to eat at the bar. Host at the reception was very helpful and friendly. Waiter behind the bar was a little less friendly.. Food (steak with bearnaise sauce) was very tasty.

Excellent.

Gorgeous sunday roast dinner and a great size. Beautiful homemade cheesecake. Excellent service especially from the very smart young man.

Exceeding Our Expectations

By Tracey F |

Our stay at Park MGM did not start out as we had planned. We had a few issues that I won't go into here that got our trip off on the wrong foot. We planned a special dinner for this trip to celebrate my birthday. We have not gone to a "higher-end" restaurant during our past trips to Las Vegas, but decided this trip we would make a point to do that. We made the decision to go to Bavette's restaurant in Park MGM. Our dinner at Bavette's completely turned around our stay in Las Vegas. What could have been our first disappointing trip to Las Vegas, ended up being one of our better trips to Las Vegas, thanks to the service and food at Bavette's. Specifically, our server Julian. The atmosphere had a 1920's feel to it. The music, pictures and dimly lit room, gave us a feeling that we were sneaking off to some secret spot. We were seated in a section that was slightly away from the other seated customers, which added to the excitement. As I stated, we have not gone to any high-end restaurants in Las Vegas in the past and felt a little intimidated by it. Our server was Julian. He immediately put us at ease. He made the whole experience about "us". He was gracious, down to earth and extremely accommodating. My wife has several allergies and we were concerned about what she could or could not eat. Most restaurants we go to when my wife tells them about her allergy situation, the answer is normally, "sorry, we can't help you find something to eat". Julian went out of his way to make sure my wife was able to eat AND be satisfied with what she chose. Julian was extremely knowledgeable on the whole menu. Julian never spoke down to us or made us feel like we didn't belong there. Quite the opposite. Julian treated us like we were royalty and made us both feel very special. Some restaurants you run into the issue of your server either disappearing at times or coming back too quickly. Julian came back to our table at the perfect time, EVERY time. It was like he knew we either had a question or needed something. Whether it was to refill my water, see how our food was or if we wanted dessert. Impeccable timing! Now, onto the food. We ordered the Filet Mignon and honey glazed salmon. Our sides were the mixed greens & apple salad, wedge salad and the buttery mashed potatoes. Julian encouraged us to share our food too, which was surprising, but appreciated. We started out with some bread and had our salads with our meal. The food was delicious! The filet mignon and salmon both melted in our mouths. Both our plates were completely clean when finished. We ate every drop! We shared the chocolate cream pie for dessert to top off our night. The only recommendation I would have, was about the homemade whip cream on top of the chocolate cream pie. It seemed too plain, like it was missing something (maybe not enough sugar?). The chocolate pie itself was scrumptious! We left Bavette's feeling amazing. We were both comfortably full, but not stuffed. My wife stated as we were leaving that Julian should be the head trainer, not only for Bavette's, but all of the customer service-related positions at the Park MGM hotel. The "high" we left with carried on for the rest of our trip. We continually brought up over the next couple of days how amazing our experience was at Bavette's. If you ever want a delicious meal and to see the "perfect" server, stop in at Bavette's restaurant in Park MGM. Hopefully you will get Julian like we did! It is located in the middle of the casino. We are already talking about going there again on our next trip to Las Vegas.

Eat here, trust me.

This restaurant was recommended to me by a friend and I'm so glad it was. This place is the bees knees, truly. The ambience is superb - dark, moody, great lighting, speak-easy esque, everything you want in a vegas steakhouse. The food was incredible - every dish better than the last. Impeccable service. Just good vibes all around from start to finish. Can't recommend enough.

Just great!!

By Adi_Sam27 |

Absolutely loved this place! The ambiance was relaxed and intimate. We were greeted by a staff member who recommended a wine, which was excellent! Service remained excellent and the steak was our best ever. A local has just told us bavette was the best in Vegas and we agree. We had the Chicago cut 16oz which was perfectly seasoned and cooked, all our food was excellent and we cannot wait to go back. Prices to be expected but worth every penny. Thanks you

Excellent dining experience and perfect atmosphere. They even brought me a cake for my birthday which was a nice touch

The ambience was perfect! The seating and lighting was great. Service was spot on and the food was amazing!! Will go back.

Great Steak Dinner

By howardlh19 |

3 of us had a very good meal here. The whole experience was quite nice. We asked for a booth when we checked in at the restaurant. We waited maybe an extra 10 minutes and we’re then seated at one of their best booths. Service was excellent. The crab cake appetizer was great. The steaks we had were great and the Caesar Salad was great. The side dishes were good, but not great…mashed potatoes, baked potato and Brussels sprouts. All in all a wonderful meal and experience.

Great Experience

By Susan L |

This was our first time to Bavettes and won’t be the last. Our waiter Julian was great from start to finish. Our filets were cooked perfectly and melted in our mouths. It was a great experience for us. Beautifully decorated.

Wanted to like this so much, but just left feeling a bit disappointed.

By Breaded Goose |

Gave Bavette's in Park MGM a try recently. Firstly, the venue is excellent, they are going for an old-style Chicago atmosphere and this is certainly achieved. We didn't want to fill ourselves too much to begin with so shared the grilled prawn starter and some bread. Both very nice - the meal was off to a great start. Unfortunately it has to be said, the steak just wasn't great. It was very charred which I understand is something they are going for, but there's a difference between charred and it actually tasting a bit burnt. It was ok, was certainly not worth close to $80 for the steak alone. In hindsight I should have raised to the server that I wasn't happy. My wife had the short rib pasta which was nice. Went for sides of fries and the creamed corn (neither very exciting) and ridiculously priced. I think sides were $20 each! The atmosphere was nice and the service was very good. The staff were friendly and attentive, no complaints there. But just can't ignore how underwhelming the food was. I really wanted to enjoy this, but sadly wouldn't go back. If you want a top-tier steak in an MGM resort, I would recommend Craftsteak in MGM Grand.

$50 wasted

We booked for Valentines but came down with the flu. We tried to call the reservations number the day before to cancel. Number didn’t work. We emailed. Heard nothing back and got charged $50 for the reservation.

Wow, amazing food

By Carol R |

My husband and I (along with our 2 boys mid-20's) went to Bavette's for dinner and WOW. What amazing food and service. The steaks were so tender. It is a bit expensive but what fine dining place isn't. Food came fast and was exactly how we liked it. Service is top notch. We did make a reservation and didn't feel rushed at all once we were at the table. We did have an issue with the bill. We paid the bill and then realized that we were accidentally charged for wine from the next table. Because the bill was paid, they said we would get a refund and an email. We had to go back 2 nights later as we didn't get no refund and no email so we talked with the manager again. The next day the refund did come but we never did get an email but we were satisfied with the refund. Overall, don't hesitate and GO. The food is really delish but just double check your bill BEFORE paying to avoid any hassle.

Steak house

Food was fantastic. The crust on my mignon was superb. Service and server was super personable and studious and his table side manners were as good as they come. Also had the Brussel sprouts with bacon and wedge salad. Nothing disappointed. Completed dinner with the one Pinot Noir

The ultimate steakhouse experience!

By Ed B |

We celebrated our 50th anniversary here. If you are looking for the negatives, please look somewhere else. The restaurant is your typical old-style looking steakhouse. Isn't this what you want? Our server, JR along with JD were both friendly and professional and if we go back on our next trip I will certainly request them again. The food was a perfect 5/5. My wife had the 6oz filet and I had the 10oz ribeye, both of which were excellent and cooked perfectly as well as seasoned wonderfully. i ordered mine without the maitre d butter and it was no problem. The mashed potatoes were especially tasty as was the garlic shrimp appetizer which they call shrimp de jonghe. The good news is they do not skimp on the garlic. The bread was excellent as well. I wish they would add onion soup to the menu and am sure it would be excellent if they did. If you are looking for the ultimate steak dinner experience, please give Bavette's a try. You won't be disappointed.

Best meal of our trip

By lonamp |

Ate at Bavette's for my birthday and the food and ambiance did not disappoint. Entering the restaurant is like leaving the casino for a tucked away speakeasy and the staff is wonderfully friendly and attentive. Our steaks and truffle mac were delicious, as were our drinks (an old fashioned and a mint julep) but the best part of the meal was our appetizer -- the peppered duck and goat cheese terrine. It's been over a week and we are still talking about how delicious it was.

Steaks left a lot to be desired

By Kasee |

Went to Bavette's before seeing a show at Dolby Live. The location is convenient. The ambience was great, our server was amazing. Shout out to Carlos! Drinks were good, appetizers were ok. The shrimp scampi was good but crab cake was interesting...Just not what I'm used to for a crab cake. The side dishes were really the star of the show. We had the mac n cheese and brussel sprouts. Really tasty. Steaks were a miss for us. Just not as flavorful and tender as I thought a $100 steak should be. All three of us who ordered medium rare got medium and the one who ordered medium got medium rare. Our server did get us complimentary dessert and champagne for my bf's birthday. Overall it was a good experience we still had a great time but just wish the steaks would've been better.

Amazing experience! Food was best ever..

By Karen H |

Steak was cooked perfectly, best I have ever had. Loved the Brussels, mashed potatoes,, tomato bacon salad, bread, all was amazing. Service was friendly and very attentive in such a subtle way. One of the best experiences ever. Also bar was excellent, had two old fashions. Can’t believe how the restaurant seems like a different world from the din of the casino just outside. Thanks for an amazing evening!

Something def. off on Thanksgiving

By Stella N |

Folks in our family had been here in the past and said it was impeccable so we decided to come here for Thanksgiving. Perhaps it was not a good night for them but everything about it was off. The waitress was brash and rude. She rushed the entire meal almost snatching our menus before we finished ordering, the food did not come out all at once but before she even delivered the bottle of wine to the table. The food was no better than pub food at an insanely high price. We ordered coffee and desert but before it came she left the bill. When we asked about the deserts she replied rudely "it's coming" but apparently had indeed forgotten because she asked for the bill back and had to add the deserts. It took more time to get the coffee and deserts than the entrees. Strange experience. Not good.

Great experience

By RMorado33 |

We celebrated my wife’s birthday here with a group of 11, everyone had a great time! The atmosphere is a little different from other steakhouses in Vegas, which we really enjoyed. Our server, Julian was likely the best server we have ever had in Vegas, was very knowledgeable about the menu. He recommended great shareable appetizers for our large group. Our table had a mix of steak, chicken and different sides, all were great! If you are looking for a great meal, atmosphere and service, look no further. Book your reservation here. We will be back for sure!

Beautiful Steakhouse, Great Experience

By Brian F |

A classy place with excellent service. Steak was cooked perfectly; I had the Rib-Eye. The sides were delicious. Expensive, but you know that going in. Romantic and in the Park MGM, which is a great hotel/casino

Gorgeous French steakhouse with velvet booths, stunning bar, great service, and the best filet in Las Vegas.

By Christine K |

Review: This restaurant is absolutely stunning. The ambiance is incredibly gorgeous and exudes a warm, inviting French charm. The burgundy velvet booths and rich decor create a sophisticated yet cozy atmosphere that feels both classy and comfortable—not snooty at all. The bar is a true centerpiece, with an elegant design and some of the best mixologists in Las Vegas crafting top-notch cocktails. The food is phenomenal. The filet is cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful, paired with creamy mashed potatoes that melt in your mouth. The bread and butter alone are worth raving about—simple yet so delicious. If you’re dining solo, sitting at the bar is a fantastic option. The service is impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff who make you feel welcome and cared for. This is hands down the best steakhouse and restaurant in Las Vegas. I’ve been here five times, and each visit has been flawless. It’s a must-visit for anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience in the city.

Anniversary Dinner

By Laura S |

It was our 40 year anniversary and Christoper Centeno, at MGM reservations, who's service was excellent, recommend Bavette's. From the moment we walked in the service and ambiance was amazing. The chilled Maine lobster was beautifully displayed and cut ready to eat. My husband had the New York steak that was fantastic. The waiter Brian Wosnig and a team member provided excellent service.

LOVE Bavette’s! 💯❤️

By stephany g |

Bavette’s never disappoints. Ever. Had the filet mignon last night, cooked to a perfect medium rare. So tasty it did not need the accompanying Bernaise sauce. Started the meal with the Baked Goat Cheese and a Champagne Smash cocktail. Delicious, Had the buttery garlic mashed potatoes and mushrooms as sides for my steak with the Flowers Pinot noir. Sandman tawny port for dessert and life is good! Kristi was our server, she was delightful. Ambience in main dining room is perfection as usual. However, the techno music in the back lounge is off-putting and out of sync with the rest of the fabulous vibe.

Treated like a made man!

By RyanPeggy |

We have been looking forward to Bavette’s for quite some time. The dark sultry setting transported us into old Chicago. After the Maitre d checked on us and brought us a special house punch we realized we were “in the family.” I had the pork chop and a baked potato. Huge portions. I had met my match. Peg got the fish. It took up the entire plate. Food, drinks and an excellent ambiance $200.

Highly recommended

By Luisella D |

Beautiful restaurant. Great service. Quality food. Giovanni the super nice waiter. Excellent value for money.

Amazing from start to finish

By Allyson H |

Went for a special occasion. Was wished “Happy Birthday” many times. The staff was friendly and accommodating from the moment we checked in for our dinner reservation. Steaks and sides were amazing, as were the drinks! Definitely recommend ordering a Lillet Rose Martini! Very accommodating for gluten and other allergies. My party was given exceptional service and can’t recommend Bavette’s enough!!

My new favorite steakhouse in Las Vegas

By TriplePlay951 |

Ate here with friends in April 2024. 10 out of 10 ambiance (think dimly lit New Orleans/Chicago/French hybrid. A few of us had Vieux Carre's for a cocktail and they were exceptional. The side dishes (corn, mashed potato and Mac n cheese) were all very delicious. All five of us agreed that the steak was one of the best we've had in Las Vegas with several visits under out belt. The bone-in filet, traditional filet and the ribeye all came with a very tasty bernaisse. The dessert menu looked unremarkable so we skipped dessert. Our only small complaint was that our side dishes came out 5-10 minutes after our steaks were served. Definitely make a reservation and give Bavette's a try. I will be back.

Star dish missed the mark.

By R H |

I have to say I was disappointed either Bavette this visit. 3 out of steaks were cooked over. 2 were requested rare and 1 medium rare all came medium well. For this reason I cannot give a 5 star review. Fortunately the salad,, goat cheese, fries, and chocolate pie was delicious. And full transparency we did not send the steaks back.

Lovely vibe, food, and excellent service

By Sharon C |

Classy romantic ambiance with low lighting and music. Food was fabulous and excellent service from Julian and Eric!! The best service the whole week we were in Vegas. Speak easy had lovely drinks and ice vibe too. * Dress code was flexible as we were not decked out and still felt comfortable. Seating was spaced enough to not feel on top of others. A must try!

Great food

By Sam B |

I ordered a burger and fries. My husband ordered the Mac & cheese and the cod. That burger and mac & cheese was thee best I have ever had. I would highly recommend this place!

One of the best meals I've had in years

By Dan H |

Everything was A+: the appetizers (specifically the duck terrine), the steak (peppercorn crusted ribeye), the ice cream -- but what put it over the top was the service we received from Danielle, the sommelier, and everyone else. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Avoid the steak and frites, and go with the filet.

By Thomas S |

At least three of our group had the rib eye streak and frites. Mine was so tough I couldn't cut over half of it and forget about chewing it. The friend across the table said his was just as bad but as he was starving he was able to get half of it down. The really ridiculous thing is the server NEVER came by to ask how was our food.

Solid steak house.

By czaral |

Nice steakhouse, staff seemed generally nice. The filet on bone and mash were excellent. The oysters were nice but not mind blowing, and the crab salad was very average. Great cocktails. Martinis were shaken amazingly and blue cheese olives stuffed to perfection. Cool decor.

Very Dissapointedww

By Calig S |

Horrible experience at this restaurant. My wife and i came away angry and disappointed by the way the hostess made us feel. She was rude and had an unnecessary attitude. I expected more from Babette’s and we won’t be coming back…

Worth a visit

By jedermangy |

Ok but pricey but worth a visit. I went straight in for the €100 20oz grilled to perfection. Additional mushrooms and frites were all as advertised great meal. Only had Stella tho found the wine prices a little high.

Perfect way to celebrate hubby's birthday!

By MrsTammy2u |

I treated my husband to Bavette's for dinner on his birthday a few weeks ago and we were very satisfied. We were a few minutes late for our reservation, but I called the restaurant and let them know we were running late. Once we arrived, we only had to wait less than 5 minutes before we were seated in a lovely area in the back. Joshua R was our waiter and he was phenomenal! He provided excellent service and was on point with his wine recommendations. I had the lamb chops, which were DELICIOUS and my husband said that his steak was one of the best he has ever had. Everything was perfect from start to finish. I would highly recommend Bavette's to anyone looking for a great meal in Vegas!

Great food, best service.

By Jesper Blaabjer... A |

Really delicious steak, at reasonable price. More importantly, the setting was so cozy - and to bring it all together, our host, Brian W, made the evening perfect with his very warm and present treatment. Can only recommend.

Pretty Place...less than stellar food.

By MLMRocksTravel |

Pros and Cons.....we ate here based on the wonderful reviews for the restaurant. Pros: The restaurant opened 15 minutes early to begin checking people in. This was much appreciated as there is no waiting area outside the restaurant which is right off the gaming floor. There was no place for our 19 year old son to wait with us that was not on the gaming floor. The restaurant was one of the most beautiful, elegant and "old" school Vegas restaurants we visited. Absolutely glamorous! If you go, go for the restaurant itself and not the food. We were seated in the back room, which seemed reserved for celebrations like birthdays and anniversaries as everyone received a dessert with a candle there. The chairs were soft, more like living room chairs than at a restaurant. Tables were big so it really felt like an experience in luxury. Service was outstanding, our server knew the menu well and we were checked on often. Cons: The food. The french dip was fine, as were the fries. We had the same sandwich for $12 at Hollywood Cafe or IHOP. Not sure how they came up with $39 for the meal but we were definitely paying for the experience/service and not the sandwich. The roast chicken was fine, a little dry and not much flavor. Something from a $12 menu at a lower tier restaurant. Again, paying for the experience. Finally, the server recommended the Wagyu hamburger. I was expecting a fabulous burger like in other restaurants, usually around $23. This one was $39 and I don't know why they even asked for a temperature request (med rare) as they were two smashburgers so thin you could almost see through them. Yes, they were crispy with lots of crunch on the outside....just not as good as the same burger at In & out burger for less then $10 at the Linq Promenade. None of the meals were more than a 5/10...with a pretty hefty pricetag for the beauty of the restaurant. We wished we had not used that much money and one of our Vegas dinner for this restaurant. We don't mind paying for outstanding (SW Steakhouse was twice the price and worth every penny), but this was too much for just a pretty restaurant. We would have been smarter to just have a drink at the bar and go over to Best Friend for outstanding food.

Favorite Dining Experience!

By Marian L |

My husband and I ate dinner here during our kid free vacation. This was by far one of the best steaks I have ever had. The service was also fantastic, I wish I remembered our server's name. He let us know right away that all of the portions were huge and that we could share everything. I appreciated this since 1) he was right and we would have way over ordered and 2) he clearly wasn't trying to upsell us. We ordered the sourdough bread, which I loved, my husband likes his bread less "crusty", but I am from San Fran originally and love a super crusty sourdough. We shared the wedge salad which was delicious, and we split the bone in ribeye and a loaded baked potato. It was all so good! I appreciated the they had half bottles of wine on their wine list... and a really good selection, too. The atmosphere in the restaurant really makes the whole experience. At first when we walked into the Park MGM I was nervous given the ambience in the casino/hotel there, but it was like stepping into a whole other world in Bavette's. We were seated in the main dining area in a cozy corner booth overlooking the beautiful bar. Can't wait to visit the Chicago location next time we are there. Or the Las Vegas one for that matter!

Bavette's May 2023

By Cruiser_2030 |

Firs time dining with this establishment. Made a reservation (highly recommended) and was seated on time. The bone-in Filet was excellent. Cooked as requested. All sides were also very good. Little pricey, but food and service was excellent. Will definitely dine here again on next trip to Las Vegas.

Enjoyed the Food and Drinks

Enjoyed the food tremendously. The atmosphere is great. The drinks were also good. Had a comped meal and drinks but it would be worth paying for. I will return.

THE BEST STEAK I'VE HAD IN VEGAS

By BrianEatsFromIG |

Eating in Vegas can be totally overwhelming- there are so many pricey options. But if you want to get a moment away from all the stimulation and noise for a quiet date night, you should head to Bavettes Steakhouse in the ParkMGM on The Strip. With a 1920s French speakeasy vibe, it is very romantic from the moment you walk in. Feels like you’re miles away from the casino, which is just on the other side of the mall. The service was immaculate and the food was even better What I Ate: 22oz Bone-in Ribeye, Brussels sprouts + Bacon, Butter Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Pepercorn-crusted Petite Filet Mignon Holy $%*! did this place exceed my expectations. This is easily one of the best steaks I’ve ever had and a wonderful experience. The menu is simple: one page. There are only about six different steaks offered, so you aren’t overwhelmed with choices. Our server (John) walked us through the entire menu, even though it’s pretty straightforward. The cocktails are stiff, but very well made. The sourdough bread to start is huge and done perfectly with butter available. We opted for a salad instead of apps to save room for steak. The mixed greens salad with apple was good but nothing to write home about. Which is fine because I ordered the biggest steak they had. And ate the whole thing. This bone-in ribeye steak was absolutely magnificent. Done to a perfect medium, each bite melted in my mouth like sweet butter. It is seasoned with a special seasoning blend, and they even bring you a little extra in case you want to add more. Spoiler alert: it did not need any more seasoning. The bernaise sauce on the side was also very, very good but I preferred to just enjoy the steak on it’s own. I can’t stop dreaming about this steak. Pure bliss. The petite filet mignon was also done perfectly. The peppercorn crusted added some depth to the flavor, and it’s a great option if you don’t have a big appetite or want to fill up on sides. Brussels were above average, but I recommend adding the bacon (not on the menu) to take them to a whole other level. Mashes potatoes were also excellent. Wish I saved room for dessert, but that was a huge steak I ate.

Great culinary experience

By jennifer d |

Food was amazing. The steaks were perfectly cooked, the vegetables were firm and delicious, and the wine was perfectly matched. So enjoyed the service and felt the whole meal was served in a relaxed environment. Would dine here again when visiting.

Fantastic Dinner for Two

By akirkman16 |

Absolutely phenomenal meal from the service to the atmosphere to the food. We started with the steak tartare and shrimp cocktail and while both were great, the steak tartare is to die for. My husband has the dry aged New York strip and I had the 10oz filet mignon and both where fantastic. We ordered the Brussel sprouts , Mac and cheese, and elote corn. Definitely enough for two to share and we did not finish unfortunately. Their bar is well stocked and fantastic. This is a restaurant we will definitely be returning to.

Disappointing

By Love2Travel201111 |

We were a little early for our reservation so we sat at the bar. The bartender was very friendly and our drinks were great. We were then seated and Alexandra was our server. Cold, aloof, unfriendly. We ordered the goat cheese appetizer and a half order of sourdough bread. Both were excellent! The wedge salad was also very good. One of us ordered the ribeye medium rare and it was almost well done and tough though the flavor was good. The other steak came with Hollandaise Sauce which was way too lemony and inedible. The side of mashed potatoes was super salty. We decided against trying a dessert or two since we rarely saw our server anyway and didn’t want to spend more time here. There are plenty of great restaurants in Vegas and sadly, to us, this isn’t one of them. While the appetizer, bread, salad and cocktails were all great, this is a STEAK restaurant. Disappointing

We went with another couple and we all ordered a different main dish and they were all excellent and cooked perfect

By Pat M |

Excellent atmosphere, great service and awesome food! This is our 3rd visit and we have never been disappointed. The filet was cooked perfectly and was meeting juicy.

Underwhelming Experience

By Vancouver2Vegas |

Underwhelming experience. Steak came out lukewarm. Bread was chewy. The sides were good. The venue is beautiful. Didn’t love it.

Best server in Vegas with outstanding food

By Mary M |

Always outstanding food, but what makes this truly memorable is the waiter Brian W! Absolutely the best waiter in all of Vegas and I’d give the entire experience 4.8 stars without him but he pushes it to a full 5 star review! Thank you Brian from Kevin and Mary! Vegas would be boring without you!

Don't bother.

Don't bother. Too snooty, if you make a reservation for 7, won't sit you with only 6. Just go sonewhere else. This place is subclass

Superb dining experience

By phvi2617 |

Bavette's is a fantastic steakhouse. The atmosphere is relaxed and classy, with soft jazz playing in the background. I had the ribeye steak frites; the steak was perfectly cooked with an excellent sear. Service at the bar was excellent. It is pricey, but well worth it for a wonderful dinner.

Terrible Ribeye but great French Dip

By 206SeattleNative |

Bavette's is an icon in Chicago and supposed to have exceptional steaks. We've previously dined at the bar in Vegas and had the French dip and Wagyu burger which were outstanding. We came back this time to try one of their steaks. We ordered the Chicago cut ribeye and it was terrible. This was the thinnest ribeye I've ever seen and the texture was akin to an untenderized flank steak. It hurt my jaw to chew a medium ribeye and that is a travesty. I've had a better quality ribeye purchased from my local grocery store ... and they are not know for having a good meat selection. I was so disappointed with the quality of the steak in a restaurant known nationally for their steaks. We will be back but will not be ordering a steak, we will stick to the French Dip or Burger next time.

Great food in a great atmosphere

By TravelQueen56_10 |

The atmosphere is old school steakhouse. Dark lighting, white tablecloths with modern art on the walls. We were lucky and had a semi circle velvet table which was located just inside the main dining area. Our server Brian is a consummate professional. While he was busy with many tables he did not a miss a beat with any of them. Ask for him if you can. The menu is designed for sharing which is wonderful. We shared the bone in filet and Lyonnaise salad. Both were excellently prepared. The filet was melt in your mouth delicious. The salad was just the perfect touch. We also enjoyed a glass of wine expertly recommended as well. Make a reservation and enjoy!

Nice dinner

By LostInTime |

I went here for dinner. I’ve been here a few times before. The shrimp cocktail was very good as was the wedge salad. My ribeye was very good. The bourbon list is very good. The server was great.

Excellent service and food

By morningglory1 |

Our relative recommended Bavette's, telling us, "they'll take care of you." They did. (Other than putting us by the door to the kitchen, which I didn't bother pushing back on) Everything was well done--from the service to the cocktails to the temperature of the steaks. The ambiance is perfect for a romantic dinner or dinner with friends--tastefully echoing a French bistro without being cheesy or derivative. Staff attentive and helpful without being stuffy and pretentious. Lovely evening.

But seriously !!!

By Nolofinwe |

I mean the food was excellent. The bread a delight. The booth we stayed in very comfortable and spacious. The service impeccable so why only a 2 ? Seriously a glass of Chardonnay for $26 ! And I did not even see from which bottle the wine came from. Sorry but this is not acceptable.

Speakeasy Splendor!

We were on the hunt for the hidden speakeasy and found the perfect spot! After having the best martini we shared crab cakes, oysters and salad. Generous portions filled us quickly but we stayed to visit with our knowledgeable bar tender! Made for a perfect night!

The best pomme frites ever!

By Cabos |

Staying in MGM was tired of the restaurant queues. For some reason this one was almost empty. And i dont know why! Service fantastic. Atmosphere funky and cool. Great variety of beers on tap. And the steak with pomme frites. Was the BEST ever that i have eaten. Dont miss it. Do visit. You wont be disappointed!

Disappointed with the Steak!

Julian was our server. He was fantastic. I was disappointed with the cooking my bone in tenderloin. I ordered medium rare & it came back medium. Julian replaced it with another steak that was cooked better, but still a little dry. The sides, Brussel sprouts & mushrooms, were really good. I also, enjoyed the carrot cake with a glass of milk. I probably won't eat here again.

Walked Out

I booked a table for the 14th February for three people,I had researched this restaurant and was looking forward to a great dining experience. Its pretty expensive but we were happy to pay the prices for good food and service. We were given a warm welcome by the young lady on reception who showed us to our table,I was disappointed that the table was by the service area even though the restaurant was not full, but did not complain. Our second server brought us water and menus and told us our main server would be with us shortly. We waited for twenty minutes and were totally ignored,no sign of our server so decided to leave. The receptionist was very apologetic but not her fault.

Excellent All Around!

What can I say but excellent service, delicious food and great ambiance. You would never know what is behind these doors within the casino. Beautiful decor and high end finishes. I had the short rib stroganoff and the meat was so tender you could cut with a fork. Lots of meat and button mushrooms. Large portion too. My husband had the traditional filet and again very tender. Tip: don't fill up on the delicious bread and butter ahead of time even though it's tempting!
