My friends dragged me here because Harry Styles had eaten here (cool I guess), but the highlight of my visit was the cheeseburger. Presented beautifully and tasted amazing. Also shoutout to our waitress (Annie), who was very kind and gave us an insight to the cafe.

After a long walk back from the Hollywood sign we went to this cafe and ordered scrambled eggs with bacon and Avocado and was delicious, we even sat next to Russel Brand and his wife and kids, only thing was that we felt we were being rushed out of the table after finishing our meal. The staff came with the bill straight away without even asking if the meal was ok.

We loved eating here for dinner on our family vacation. In fact, we ate here for dinner two nights! The location is a nice little escape from the city. The staff is very friendly and the food is great. After spending busy days in the city, we enjoyed coming here for dinner. There is plenty of off-street parking and it is small enough that you get to know the staff. I highly recommend the Beachwood Cafe!

My wife and I recently had 3 meals (dinner) from this restaurant. None of the 6 total dishes we ordered over the course of the 3 meals screamed “noteworthy.” The food was adequate for what it was. Service, however, was very good - friendly and efficient.

I've been to LA a lot and have never been to this place and it was well worth the drive into Hollywood. Friendly service and really packed with people which is a good thing. The food was just great and so clean and fresh, also the coffee is great! I can't tell you how many places I've been too where they can't even get the coffee right. I ate here for breakfast and now will be my go to for sure when I'm in Hollywood. Lastly, the price is very good and very friendly.

After a LONG and rigorous Hollywood sign hike we were in need of a meal...and thank goodness Beachwood Cafe is on the way down! I had the Cheeseburger which was not only cooked perfectly but SOOOOOOO flavorful! My hubby had the Nichols omelette - also fantastic. Great service and atmosphere too!

My family visited this Cafe after seeing the Hollywood sign. We were all very hungry! Parking in the area wasn't too bad at that time. When we arrived, there was a QR code to scan to be added to the wait list. We added ourselves and could see there were 12 groups ahead of us waiting for tables, but it did not show an estimated wait time. I received a text letting me know they would text when our table was ready and we would then have 3 minutes to get there. The wait went much quicker than anticipated! I would guess we waited about 15-20 minutes. Once we were seated, we were quickly brought waters and able to order promptly. My husband ordered the Italian Scramblette. He said it was good and he would order it again. My younger daughter ordered a kids pancake meal with sausage as her meat side. She ate the pancake, but said the sausage (which looked like a large, spicy sausage type brat cut in half and grilled) was too spicy and the eggs were a bit different (they were sort of orange in color). My older daughter is very picky! There were many options on the menu for her to choose from. She chose the cheese quesadilla, which came with housemade tortilla chips and green salsa. She loved the quesadilla and chips. I ordered the vegan burrito with a side of potatoes. In my opinion, the burrito would have been sufficient to fill me up on its own. The burrito was delicious and I would definitely order it again! Service was quick. The waitress did not come back to our table to check on things or refill drinks between the time we ordered and when she dropped off the bill, but overall it was a good visit and we would recommend this cafe!

I love the Beachwood Special for breakfast. Yummy egg with salsa, sausage, avocado.... and the herb potatoes are great. They also have a baked oatmeal that is very unusual and yummy. Good coffee. What more could you want?

We went to this restaurant that is full of local people, I really liked the atmosphere, the service and everything we had was delicious, pizzas, burgers, salads, dessert. 100% recommended

My partner and I found our favourite spot in LA nestled away in the Hollywood Hills. This cafe had amazing food, wonderful wait staff, and great newspaper options. The coffee was phenomenal, and the energy in the room was cozy and enjoyable. Very open and bright cafe. I absolutely recommend checking out this cafe, off the usual beaten path it is a greatly kept secret from tourists.

We stumbled upon this restaurant while out on a walk. The interior is amazingly clean, wonderful service. There are many options for veg, or vegan preferences. I would definitely return!

Stayed in Beachwood for a week and came for breakfast here twice and dinner once - probably would've been even more had we not had reservations elsewhere for every other day! Healthy, yummy and affordable options for every type of diet and taste. I had the Laurel - 2 poached eggs over braised greens with harissa sauce and it was so delicious - simple and sophisticated. A definitely must-go if you're in the neighbourhood! Wicked atmosphere too. Old-school, semi-kitsch decor but modern with super friendly staff. GO!

Hate to say it, but this restaurant treats solo guests like second class citizens taking up space and costing them money. So sad. For them.

Cute little diner type place at the foot of the Hollywood Sign. The food is decent. It's not bad.... but it's not great. The service is really good. The place is cute.... There's a huge peace sign in the window.

We had worked up an appetite hiking the Hollywoodland Stairs so we decided to pop into the Beachwood Cafe for some lunch. The service, food and ambience were all good. It was the perfect spot for us after our hike. My chicken BLT along with my latte were tasty but nothing I would crave to go back for. My friends appeared to enjoy their meals as well. The only complaint I had was the water served was not cold and the water cups appeared to be dirty. I felt some of the dishes were a bit overpriced. $15 for an egg scramble is a bit over the top but expected when in Hollywood.

Of course, the menu items are very interesting, but since the entrance begins with a lie, it is fear to think what will happen next. What I mean .. - before entering the information that is WiFi - it is but blocked! In addition, limited access to the GSM network. For that I didn't do any pictures to pass here online. Maybe it is in an interesting tourist spot, unfortunately only this argument will not defend the place.

We visited LA for a long weekend and this was my favorite restaurant of the trip. We visited for lunch. The salads and bowls are wonderful - super fresh, tasty, and filling! The lemonades are also delicious. The menu met the needs of our group with both healthy options and standard burgers/sandwiches. Everything was reasonabally priced. The atmosphere is very fun and great for people watching... Seemed like a lot of locals were eating there. It's a great spot to stop if you are exploring the beautiful neighborhood. The owner and staff are very generous. I accidentally left my phone at the restaurant and they shipped it all the way back to Minnesota for me. They definitely go out of their way to serve their customers. Will definitely return!

The BLT and fries combo was good. Kale salad was fresh and tasty too. The Bloody Mary was pretty good as well. The restaurant is really cute. Our waiter didn't seem thrilled to be there, but was fine. It is in a lovely location as other reviewers shared. My friend said the breakfast choices are great too. It is very LA and worth a stop. So close the the Hollywood sign which is fun for out of town guest. We easily found parking which is always a plus!

This cafe is a wonderful adventure to complement your exploring of the Beachwood Canyon neighborhood. Always a place to enjoy great food, attentive servers and an occasional celebrity siting over your shoulder. No matter what meal you choose it should include their refreshing drink concocted with lemons, sugar, basil and mint! We went for breakfast and their egg scrambles are hearty and healthy

Great BLTs with shoestring fries. Good coffee. Lovely bright yellow decor with a variety of seating options. Real pleasure for vege munchers to have the veggie burger and the quinoa, kale salad. Never too much green. Excellent value.

Visiting from NYC and staying down the road we walked up the HILL, to BC. The breakfast was delicious, service was good. Many locals coming in by 9am. Go, you will not be disappointed

I returned after two years and the breakfast is still very good. I love the Mark dish. The service is extremely friendly and smiling. Congratulations to the ladies! I'll be back!

i was expecting more but maybe it was reasonable since harry styles even had to mention the whole place in his song Falling, which in fact is a very incredible song and I cried to it last night but that is besides the point. I wanted some strong coffee but it wasn't strong enough still good tho but needs to be more strong PUR. love

Delicious, well cooked food with fresh ingredients. Walked in at 9:30am and got a table straight away. Lovely decor in a nice little street near the Hollywood sign. Was slightly expensive but was expected as the food was so fresh. Was served by Joseph who was great! Very friendly and helpful.

Wide variety of food in a wonderful eclectic setting. In a quiet Hollywoodland neighborhood. Parking usually easy to get in the local lot.

Food was excellent. Definitely a great place for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. Décor was ecclectic, quirky and charming. Service was quick and friendly. It's located in a cute neighborhood with a view of the Hollywood sign. I had a hard time choosing what to eat because everything sounded so good. Ultimately our table ordered Sophia's Bowl, BBQ pulled pork and I got the Beachwood veggie burger - which was handmade with brown rice, wild mushroom, cashew, and walnuts, not those weird soy rubber patties. Everyone was raving about what they ordered. Definitely going back.

Expected more. Not the best eggs benedict or coffee. Would need try something else. Good location, though.

Friends were moving to a house up in the Hills and this was the closest place to grab a bite to eat. Very convenient if you are in the area and a really cute part of town to walk around.

How can you top eating at a lovely cafe and possibly sitting in the booth that Harry Styles occupied? Seriously this is probably the best breakfast outside of my house that I have had. We walked from our hotel on Hollywood Blvd so I’m not sure how parking is. The location takes you back to 1920s Hollywood splendor. The place isn’t huge so I could see weekends I the summer being busy with a wait, but we visited mid week in winter so got right in. Menu is packed with everything for breakfast with vegan substitutions. Service was OK. Refills on the coffee were requested but provided without issue. Overall a must eatery when I the Hollywood area

We were crusing the hollywood sign and stumbled across this cafe - the food was great the service impeccable and fast! If you are in the area stop by!

Beachwood Cafe is a cozy rstaurant i visited for the first time having dinner, great tasting food. I´ll for shure be back next time i´m in Hollywood, highly recommeded!

We enjoyed our breakfast here. However everything was an addition. To me if you order pancakes you shouldn’t have to pay and extra $2.50 for maple syrup. That being said they were tasty, light and fluffy. We ordered two sides of Bacon which didn’t arrive promptly and we had to ask again for them. I had the eggs, chicken sausage and potatoes. Very tasty, but again I had to ask for my toast as it didn’t arrive. The food itself is good quality however their service could do with improving. You are paying for the location and that doesn’t disappoint.

Stopped in after long and very hot hike in the Hollywood hills. And we were rewarded for choosing the Beachwood Cafe. Everything was excellent. The cheeseburger, though messy was very very good. My wife enjoyed the BLT and hibiscus lemonade. And our friend loved her turkey burger. Service was very good for a busy Saturday afternoon. Definitely would return. Plus my wife and her friends got to see a CSI Miami star and his family.

Best food and service I lived in hollywoodland for the summer and had many fabulous meals here. Fantastic staff and service. A must is to get the basil mint lemonade! So refreshing and delicious!! Fabulous burgers and sandwiches (what I had mostly) great serving sizes but just enough not too big :) Also easily split meals which was great for us a group of friends!

We were stay at universal city and decided to get away. Just a 20min drive what a find. Low key and fantastic ambiance stay were friendly and knew all the meals in detail to help choose. Had the muscles matched with a local chardonnay. Thans for a great night team.

We have been here twice for lunch and loved it. Delicious food, quaint atmosphere, and the occasional celebrity sighting make this a great stop in LA.

Great for tourists and the locals. The food here is excellent. Especially dinners. They specialize in breakfast and on weekends they are busy! But their dinners are wonderful. Love that they show old movies on Saturday nights! Very casual and charming. Always had great friendly service here. So Hollywood! The short ribs appetaiser and the brussel sprouts are our favorites!

We love this homey place that makes the bustle of Hollywood and Highland seem like another world. Breakfasts are amazing and lunches are even better. Never had a boring meal here, and occasionally see a starlet or two.

We were visiting LA for the first time from the east coast this summer. One of our daughters is a huge Harry Styles fan..so this was on her must see list. (If you know, you know...ha ha!) We are so glad we went! The food is delicious! We went for breakfast and got the breakfast burrito and French toast. The side of potatoes was tasty too. Definitely recommend. Cute neighborhood and so close to a great place to take pics of the Hollywood sign. (Lake Hollywood Park.) If you want great food in LA, give this place a try!

Came here after going horse riding at Sunset Ranch (just up the hill on Beachwood Drive) and it turned out to be a great decision! Great food with great staff! Highly recommended!

Awesome convenient little location if you are staying in the area, try the Bronson breakfast, yum!!!

Beachwood little hidden secret with the Hollywood sign in the back drop this place rocks! Food is fresh, farm picked and fabulous! Xx

Absolutely delicious! I got the BLT and I’m not exaggerating when I say it’s the best BLT I’ve ever gotten. They were busy when we went at around 2, but I didn’t have to wait longer than 10 minutes for a table to open. Service was amazing, food was amazing, and can’t wait to go back!!

We rented a condo in this neighborhood and went to breakfast here for 5 days straight! Warm friendly atmosphere and the breakfast excellent!!!!

We liked Beachwood enough to come back a couple times for breakfast while we were staying nearby. Food and service were good, but what we liked most about it is that it's a neighborhood based place and the neighborhood includes a lot of folks in the businesses that Hollywood is famous for.

We discovered the Beachwood Cafe while traveling with family on vacation. What a wonderful meal! Up in the Hollywood Hills, this small cafe restaurant has a focused menu of dishes, including an out of this world roast pork dish served with polenta, and a great selection of desserts. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly, and the prices were reasonable for L.A. Highly recommended!

Sorely disappointed, was told this was a great place, but can't say that my experience was anything other than disappointing. Cute little cafe, clean, quaint. Clean ladies' restroom. Our server Lupe was not friendly, didn't even say hello, greet us or smile once. She came to our table and just asked, "Are you ready to order?" - admittedly it's a pet peeve and just strange to me when servers, working for tips, don't even say hello and introduce themselves. Food was good, tasty and fresh, but nothing special. Very overpriced. $10 for two eggs, two slices of bacon, one slice of toast and some potatoes. Not even a little orange slice or some fresh fruit to accompany it. Also, whoever set my dish put the individual butter under my toast, so it was melted and not in that yummy goodness way. Good food, but what I really paid for was the location. It's equivalent to the $7 rainbow bagel in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Iced coffee was watered-down and when I added milk, I realized that's about all I was drinking. It's okay, I would not recommend to anyone visiting, living in the area, or go out of my way again to visit again. Los Angeles is a wonderful place and I believe there are better places to try out.

We popped in here for breakfast after driving up to see the Hollywood sign. It’s a nice little café with a modern airy feel and a nice little menu of stuff you don’t normally see in other diner type places. Very ‘So-Cal’ vibe to the place with friendly, laid back staff and good food (although not massive portions for the price). Tasty though and fresh. They also had a great selection of teas which were served in cool coloured cast iron teapots (where can I buy one?!). I would go here again if I happen to be in the area.

After a massive walk from West Hollywood up to the sign and back down we stumbled across this amazing little cafe, the coffee, juice and breakfast was all incredible. Highly recommend.

A bit out of the way (but only a bit), so it was quiet for breakfast. Although we were there as it opened, after an early morning hike up to the Observatory. Stupid jetlag. Very lovely little place. I had the Beachwood, which is basically eggs, guac, pico de gallo, and spicy turkey sausage. IT. WAS. LUSH. Big ol' portions, and very nice coffee too. The waitress was ace, too. If you're nearby, stop in. You'll not regret it. :)

We stumbled across this cafe on our way to find the Hollywood Sign, feeling hungry and not expecting to find anywhere to eat/drink in the neighbourhood. It is expensive but the portions are large and the food is freshly made. The man who greets you on arrival is alittle fierce and guards the window tables.

Good food...toast was a little hard. Joshua bowman and Emily vancamp were eating there while we were there and so we were star struck.

Stopped here for brunch. Usual breakfast food. Good quantity and a little more pricey but we would expect that for the area. On the road toward the Hollywood sign in a suburban neighborhood. A popular spot that will not disappoint.

Super little cafe nestled high up above the craziness that is Hollywood Boulevard. Great menu and even better when you see the prices are really reasonable. We had a lovely wander around Beechwood and spent an hour in the cafe chilling and enjoying the cakes and coffee. The staff were all very friendly.

We shared the Thai noodle salad and the cubano sandwich. The food was amazing and the service was even better. This is one of the busiest little cafes I have ever been in. We did not feel we had to wait for anything. Isaiah was our server and he was amazing. Highly recommend this place.

We found this cafe by a chance after going up Beachwood Avenue to the Hollywood sign. The neighborhood cafe has a great food & service at very reasonable cost. The Fez Bowl Salad with Quinoa, wild mushrooms, greens, baby carrots, raw beet salad, harissa & shallot yogurt was totally awesome. We will try to make at home, so good! The breakfast special was also good, with great coffee & service. We had lunch for two with coffee for $35 incl. tip. Great value!

If you're in a rush, this restaurant is not for you. It's a super chill atmosphere where no one is pushing you to order or to leave. It's tucked in a little corner of the Hollywood Hills and has a small town feel. I ordered some kind of scramble with REAL home fries (like actual chunks of potatoes) that were super crispy. Eggs were cooked just right and so fresh.

This is a great little spot! as a tourist, it was a lovely drive and you can see the hollywood sign as you travel towards the cafe. It is a farm to table kind of place and the food was EXCELLENT! The iced coffee was a little weak but they have many options to choose from.

My wife and I were exploring the area and making our way up to the Hollywood sign when we spotted this nice little cafe. Breakfast was really good and if you enjoy sitting back and watching people enjoying their day I think this place is top notch. The staff was friendly but seemed a little busy and maybe the place was understaffed but the service was still quite satisfactory. I would certainly visit them again.

Chosen based on convenience and the fact we wanted to leave the car in a nice neighbour as all our cases/travel bags were with us. Loved this café. Had great food and the best cup of tea from two weeks travelling from Seattle to LA. I'd eat here regularly if I was a local.

We had breakfast here with my wife, I had a burrito and she had french toast. The food was really good, fresh and tasty. The location is very cute, in the hills and relaxing because nothing around. Service was nice and the bill not expnsive. Definitely to come back!

Tucked into the cozy canyon of Beachwood is this little neighborhood cafe. If you're looking to get away from the hustle & bustle of Hollywood, this is just a quick drive up but feels a world away. Great for brunch or dinner, the food is delicious, the service is super friendly, and the atmosphere is just what you want in a cute cafe. There is also a side room that you can reserve for larger groups, I had a birthday dinner here and it was perfect for about 12 people. I also love that the owners decorate the windows based on the month/season - adds a fun element to the village square up there. Good veggie options too, I usually get the Fez bowl, which is delicious.

Stopped by for lunch. Very friendly service. Tasteful decor. Free internet. Very tasty lunch. Recommended!

We happened upon this place when we were coming back from the Hollywood sign and Lake Hollywood walk. Great service and delicious food - healthy salad for me and burgers/fries for the kids. Will definitely go back again.

Delightful place. Strange menu and very over priced. Great location and very nice staff. Just really schocked when presented with a 20$ check for a rather sparse breakfast !

Popular, cool and ultimately tasty place for a visit. Unassuming as with so many places to visit in La, in my opinion. This place has a reputation. Located within a few miles of and in the shade almost of that famous Hollywood sign. It is an excellent fuel stop after a ramble up to the sign via those steep and meandering roads in the Hollywood hills. The restaurant is spacious and airy with a cheerful and vibrant atmosphere. The menu is varied and filled with many appetising options for breakfast or brunch. I was attracted to the Scrambelette (think thats right) which is a combination of scrambled egg and an omelette. Many ingredient options. Also on the menu were some interesting mexican type slants on the traditional breakfast. the food was great. Service - top notch. Ambiance - delightful. All in all a wonderful stop off if you're in the area and you should be if you visit LA as you almost always have to pass it on your way to get that all important selfie in front of that iconic sign.

The last stop before the Hollywood sign and the Sunset Ranch! The Beachwood cafe, together with the supermarket next door are at the heart of the very charming Hollywoodland (small) village. This well established cafe with old fashion decor offers classical breakfast fare together with a lunch/dinner menu. We'd expect a more modern/inventive menu to complement this unique location ... nothing really extraordinary from the kitchen, but, at least, the atmosphere is cozy and charming. You'll feel far from L.A. in an almost European touch.

I came here for some sustenance before taking on the Hollywood sign. It was decently priced and the staff were helpful, bringing out anything needed. The food was really yummy and quick to come. I loved the decor and how you didn't feel rushed or like an annoyance.

It was Sunday but we didn't have to wait for a table for two. We ordered the veggie omelet with a side of sourdough bread and one pancake which I thought was pricey at 7 bucks. The butterscotch latte tasted a bit off so I would prefer a regular coffee or mocha instead. The food turned out very tasty and probably one of the best pancakes I've ever had.

Nice feel to the place with the decor, reasonably quiet mid morning weekday brunch. Only saw the waitress to take the order and when she put the bill on the table, not particularly friendly or attentive. 2 free hours of wifi. Coffee was ok- latte was too big and too milky. The granola wasn't great, 3 hard biscuits on the side of a bowl with yoghurt & fruit ( which was the best part) Free street parking.

Though I live in Chicago, I've been to Beachwood Cafe 3 times already (once for each meal) Every time they have exceeded their high expectations. Favorite foods include the steak frites and the Brussel sprouts at dinner and the Banh Mi Salad with chicken for lunch. We like them so much that we have booked them to host a rehearsal dinner for our son's wedding. The place is comfortable, warm and inviting.

Our family came to the Beachwood Cafe mainly because it was mentioned in a Harry Styles song but we were happy to find a great little diner. There is plenty of on street parking in the area. You can scan a QR code on the door to get in line and we only had a short wait. Every food item we ordered was good and the service was pleasant.

Great spot tucked into the original "Hollywoodland" neighborhood in Los Angeles. In fact it is across the street from the original stone gates. Outstanding Eggs Benedict and a super cool, but friendly LA vibe.

My family and I came here. The food was absolutely amazing! Super soft and tasty pancakes! Breakfast burrito was delicious! We highly recommend this place and will be back!

More of a neighborhood cafe that only locals know or tourist would accidentally discover upon failing to find access to the Hollywood sign, this place is a hidden treat. The decor is cute, the staff are friendly and the food is healthy and surprisingly, it's quite tasty.

Met up with an old friend while in LA for breakfast. This is a cute restaurant with some dishes you won't find just anywhere. My kind of place! Had the runyon omelet; it was fabulous. This restaurant does not subscribe to the typical American mentality of huge portions FYI. The dish was just right. They do have soy milk for those that choose not/can't have dairy. The Beachwood is in a quaint little neighborhood and they have a parking lot, win-win. I can't see how you wouldn't like this place.

I've been coming here for four years, but NEVER again. I went today to meet my sister. She had already been waiting one hour for her food and watched as every patron who came in after her got their orders. When I asked the waiter what was going on, he said they had lost their ticket and put in the order again to the kitchen. I asked if him if he could do something to make this situation less horrible like comping the food that never came etc. A redheaded barista, Sarah, who was very rude and hostile, came over and said she could comp the coffees. I said since the kitchen forgot to make their food could they get a refund? Any other restaurant would be apologetic and embarrassed by forgetting to make the food. That's a restaurant's only obligation to the customer. She told me she called the owner and relayed to me that Patty said if we were really upset over this that we should go eat elsewhere. Sounds good to me!

Fresh food, great atmosphere not a bad word to say and will certainly recommend. Excellent cafe and will hopefully visit again.

Went here after i finished my hike up and down to the Hollywood sign. Brilliant service amazing food. Great menu and loved the feel good atmosphere.

Good food, good service!! Did not see a celebrity, but other then that, everything was good!!!We will come again next time in LA!!

We ate breakfast here twice during our trip, and I absolutely loved this place. Not only is the food great and varied, but I was also really impressed with the service and the vibe of the whole place - great decor and a really nice spot. Would highly recommend for breakfast.

Stopped off for breakfast on a walk to the Hollywood sign and we weren't disappointed. We enjoyed it so much we decided to come back again for our last breakfast in LA.

Oldy world cafe situation adjacent to a market and some other quaint antiques shops. Mainly used by the locals who live in this area, but you might see an A level movie or TV star there to as a popular location used by the film companies to put up their "guests" The food is expertly cooked by a chef who has been there a long long time. Well worth a cup of coffee thru to a big blowout.

Why aren't people honest with their reviews... Walk in this place for breakfast you better have ear plugs. It's full of screaming spoiled brats... Then you have to sit off in a side room to get your thoughts! Then forget about the smug waitresses even acknowledging you! This place is full of bad tastes with its circus blue and yellow floor tiles and busy non matching wallpaper. The owner is too cheap to buy window curtains or drapes to block the blazing morning sun. Let face it the only reason they are even in business because there the only Restaurant around.

It is a good place to stop by. We drove from Hollywood to Griffith Park (not straight, but drove around) and stopped for some breakfast and coffee. It is a very cozy place to stop by, and we loved the butter croissants and coffee here. People working could put a smile on their face, didn't really irritate me, but beside that, very good place!

A nice way to start a day in LA after a long flight. A hearty breakfast with fluffy pancakes to wrap up. Pleasant service and strong WiFi signal.

We arrived for coffee and lunch on a Thursday and there was a sign outside asking us to register for a waiting line. Unfortunately we couldn’t register as our phone number wasn’t American it was a UK number. We had a coffee and sat outside for 30 mins, just enjoying the view. It is a beautiful area and it was nice to see so many locals (with their dogs 🐕). I went inside and spoke to a lovely guy about the phone number issue and he offered us a table straight away, we returned on Sunday again and we got a table right by the front window which was lovely, again without having to wait. It was a Sunday this time so very busy, lots of people taking photos, I’m guessing because the cafe was featured in a music video. All staff were lovely, we ordered the breakfast and the pizza twice, if I ever returned to LA I would love to stay closer, coffee was great too! Thank you 🙏

We came because of ….. Harry but leave as massive Beachwood Cafe fans - if only we lived LA! The best things are cornflake French toast is immense - lots of love from Liverpool x

Look for Beachwood Cafe for a chill afternoon break, away from the city noise. On the way for the best view of the hollywood sign, make a stop for a delicious snack.

Beachwood Cafe is a very good place for lunch. I visited for the first time having lunch, great tasting food. Cheese burger was delicious. My favorite was the cheeseburger. I highly recommended this place for lunch.

Excellent breakfast! My son chose this spot and we had great breakfasts there. Really great food and polite service. We were seated inside immediately and thoroughly enjoyed everything about it.

Drove up to see the Hollwood sign and went past this cafe which looked like a nice place to have lunch. And boy were we correct. Nice and bright decor, good menu and staff happy to help out with our 6yo fussy eater. They had an assortment of toys and stuff for the kids. The food was great and was reasonably priced. The menu had a good selection which made ordering a bit tough as we wanted more than one thing. Needless to say there was nothing left on the plates. Best food we had eaten in the 4 days we were in LA. Sorry we did not have more time to come back and eat here again.

Weekend brunch was good, the breakfast sandwich in particular was pretty tasty. Drinks are expensive though. Upon checking their website, this is the first restaurant I see in a very long time that doesn't advertise prices alongside their menu, so now you know why!

We arrived at our AirBnB quite late at night, so we did not have a chance to get any breakfast supplies. The next morning we walked to this cafe as it was close to where we were staying. My eldest and I had the breakfast burrito, my two other daughters had the French Toast, and my wife had the granola bark and fruit. It was all very tasty, it was just a bit higher priced than I was expecting (though considering the area, I probably shouldn’t have been surprised, and also I made the mistake of mentally converting it into Canadian $, which adds to the ouch factor)

We stopped here for brunch after a failed attempt to use the local access points to the Hollywood Sign. A nice spot serving breakfast, lunch etc. We have simple meals, eggs with meat, toast etc. All excellently done.

We stopped at Beachwood Cafe before our reservation to go horseback riding up to the Hollywood sign. We got there about 2:30 which was good because on Sundays they close at 3:00. I would recommend the Hybiscus lemonade, so pretty we took a picture, and super great taste. And even a hamburger comes on an herb bun. Everything is yummy, chef/owner was there and brought the food out to us in person. Great servers and very friendly.

Wow. We've had breakfast here, but since they started serving dinners, this was our first experience. We had a great salad of baby tatsoi, comice pears, hazelnuts, with pomegranate-sesame vinaigrette. My first experience with tatsoi, which tasted like a kind of tangy arugula. It was $9. Luscious. Then we decided to try two entrees and split them, since we couldn't decide which one of us wanted which dish... Joey chose the braised pork, celery root + new potato gratin, roasted apples for $23 and I chose the beef tender, sweet potato mash, with fried shallots for $16. And yum .. they were both close your eyes and say "aaahhh". I would use the phrase "melt-in-your-mouth" for the entrees, but I must reserve the phrase for the dessert truffles ($4.) Gotta say we will definitely be back, and recommend it to anyone wanting to eat out in our neighborhood!

Stopped in after my morning ride at Sunset Ranch Hollywood. Had the RUNYON $12.85 - scrambled eggs, mushroom, spinach, roasted pepper, corn, onion, cheddar/jack, pico de gallo, guacamole, sour cream. I wanted to lick the plate, it was that delicious. They had fun music playing and I enjoyed the attentive staff while setting at the counter.

We are so glad we discovered this wonderful café early in our visit in Hollywood! It is constantly busy, which attests to the fabulous food and delightful staff. We have eaten breakfast and lunch here and both were superb.

Delicious food. Great for brunch. Super fun location right in the Hollywood Hills near the sign. My favorite is the Runyon scramble. I dream about it sometime. ;)

My wife and I were driving up Beachwood Dr in Los Angeles hoping to get a good view of the Hollywood sign on the hill. On the way up we saw this little cafe and decided to stop for breakfast. The breakfast was amazing; fresh, and well prepared. I ordered two eggs, ham, and potatoes. The bread that came with it must have been fresh baked and the preserves were made fresh there as well. There was a generous portion of ham and the potatoes were well seasoned. My wife ordered two eggs and potatoes (which were gluten-free). It's a cool retro-vibe and pleasant place to stop. Just a nice neighborhood spot. And we did get the view we wanted on Beachwood Dr. a short distance from the cafe.

We were famished after a long car ride and needed some lunch before taking our kids for a hike up to the Hollywood sign. This place was fantastic! Friendly service and great food including the burger, BLT and grilled cheese and fries for the kids. Highly recommend!

This cafe/diner has a great feel - retro funky relaxed diner decor with a diverse menu of healthy general well prepared food. My fav is the Sofia's bowl (vegan healthy macro bowl type thing), but the burger and fries is excellent also, the spicy mayo here is delish. I had scallops one night for dinner, another night fish a chips (a special) and both were good. The short ribs are not great, I remember them being a bit dry. This place is great to go weekdays and any nights. It is SUPER BUSY on weekends brunch, due to Hollywood Hills hikers. You never need to wait for a table on a weekday or night, but on the weekend for brunch it can be 30-45mins and loud inside.

This is a great little spot to grab breakfast. It’s a sit down cafe and the food is outstanding. All the breakfast basics and some great options for light eaters, vegetarians, etc. I’m a huevos rancheros gal and this place did not disappoint. Really yummy! Great, friendly staff and reasonable prices.

In perfect spot at Hollywood hills, you can find this increíbles place. Vintage feel, outstanding food and price for the place. Perfect for breakfast and lunch. Very clean and neat facilities.

We stayed within walking distance of this sweet little cafe. The service was courteous and professional and the food was great.

Beachwood Cafe was great. The service was very good, without any sense of getting rushed out the door. I had an excellent dish of braised kale with harissa and a couple of poached eggs. It was excellent.

Really enjoyed our lunch and the cozy atmosphere. The cheeseburger and turkey burger were both delicious. My favorite was the hibiscus lemonade.

Loved this place! great value! great staff! Great food!!! Best pic on the pier!! The atmosphere was super cool! Our waiter was the bartender and he was great! He was attentive and smiley and the other servers constantly swung by to see if we needed anything!

Great spot and amazing staff I loved it great vibes . If you were look for a great pet friendly spot this is the place for you

We saw this cafe while returning from the Hollywood sign trail. We visited for dinner on Saturday night and are glad we did. Parking lot available. Lovely friendly service from Marisa. The menu for dinner was small but we could have eaten anything on it. We shared blistered peppers which was a large serve easily feeding 2. Main meals were coq au vin and steak and chips. Both great meals and good value. Highly recommended.

We weren’t able to get into the cafe. There is a rather unfriendly queuing system where you scan the barcode and it doesn’t allow non US phone numbers to queue

We were looking for a good picture spot to take a photo with the iconic "HOLLYWOOD" sign and once we found a perfect street with a free parking available, it happened to be next to this cafe. The cafe turned out to be a great find too! There are a lot of places to eat in these area, but it's hard to find a cafe which would represent Hollywood better than this one. First, it's perfectly located. It's a quiet street with palm trees and all kinds of flowers blooming opening up right to the sign on the hill in a very historic part of Hollywood. Second, the building. It's old, has seen some real history and truly represents the traditional LA style on many levels. The tile floors, wood beams along with a bench outside made of skateboards - there are plenty of little touches here and there - there is elegance and sophistication. Third, the menu. Just to give you an example. I usually buy latte for two reasons: some caffeine to get some energy and light foam on top - just for fun. When I got my latte, it had a half mug of light perfect foam and a double shot at the bottom - that's not a traditional recipe, but probably the best latte I had in my life. Finally, the atmosphere. When we got in, it was really busy, but we were immediately greeted and all our questions were answered instantly, the service was great and the staff was just entertaining to watch and to talk to. On top of that, it's actually very affordable ($4 latte and $12 burger - a really good one - that's very reasonable). Overall, if you want to show Hollywood to your friends, get off the touristy Sunset and Hollywood Boulevards and take them a mile north to this place - this is a real deal!

This restaurant is nestled in the Hollywood Hills in the neighborhood where you wouldnt think it should be. The food is great, fresh and amazing. I hade scrambled eggs with tomatoes, spinich, feta cheese and basil. Like a breakfast Caprese salad with eggs. It was amazing.

Stopped by whilst taking photos of Hollywood sign. Super little cafe no frills but great food. We had brunch and everything was excellent and good value. The special chicken salad is enough to share and bursts with different flavours. Also had meatball sandwich which was good.

A very busy spot for brekky but the service and food were top notch and worth the wait for the table. Get there early as we hit 940 and the lineup was just starting to get long and parking was not great on the street. Find a spot behind the market if you can. Food was very good and the lemonade were excellent. A must go

The Cafe, in a little village just below the Hollywood Sign, is mostly a hangout for the Beachwood locals. The food is hearty, varied selection. It's been there for at least 50 years. Relaxed atmosphere. Good place to meet friends.

Nice stop on Beachwood Drive to grab a bite. There is limited parking in the back. Saw guys going over a script together which reminded me of where I was that day! Good breakfast, nice staff.

Here's how the visit began: We were escorted to a table next to the toilet by the host. I asked if we could instead sit by the window and was categorically and unpleasantly told NO because that server had too many tables. Within minutes of our being seated, they seated another party at the open window table. How does it even matter how the food tastes if this is the kind of behavior that defines the establishment? I would recommend the owner/manager address this issue with the dark-haired, balding on top, stubbled host who ruined our visit even before it began. And for patrons, I hope you choose to not patronize and encourage this kind of behavior.

We happened on this cafe whilst taking a trip to the Hollywood sign and what luck it was! The breakfast options are incredible and the range superb. Not the cheapest breakfast in the world but worth every penny. My OH went as far as to say it was the best breakfast he’s ever had (and he only ordered the overnight oats!). The portions and the quality of the food was everything. We ended up having breakfast here twice and we were only in Hollywood for two days! It’s certainly a must visit if we ever return!

Sorry Guys but today you where out of your mind, you show not respect for the costumer if you guys have a issues between cooworkers don’t bring it to the tables, been cool, chill and relax vibe means you have to excuse yourself for not been servicial, I run a Restaurant for years and I know the feeling of be tired or not in mood but never make your costumers feel like they are part of the problem.. the energy of the situations make everyone uncomfortable I live in the neighborhood for two years and come to this place twice a month and I am very disappointed from today ... if you are angry, tired, sick or just not on the mood of been serving fables don’t come to work you are charging me not giving me for free at least pretend everything is all right With the crew and don’t make bad comments about your coworkers and blame them about the bad service and treat..

Excellent breakfast and close to Hollywood sign. Queuing system to wait for a table works well including for people with non-US phone numbers. Very enjoyable experience overall.

The Beachwood Cafe is great for a quiet spot to eat and has the added benefit of being located near the hollywood sign and Griffith Observatory. I had breakfast here the service was excellent and the cafe made for a welcome break from the commercialism that comes with being in Los Angeles. I found the food to be of the highest standard, with a real homely feel to the cafe making you feel really welcome, as was reflected through the care and attention that had gone into the food and also the customer service provided by the cafe's staff. Thoroughly recommend the Beachwood Cafe if you're in the area at all.

This is such a lovely little cafe for coffee or breakfast. Food is delicious, atmosphere is nice and inviting. I had the vegan burrito and it was perhaps the best I have ever had! So happy we stumbled upon this little gem.

Stopped to get a cup of coffee, decided to stay for breakfast. The granola and yogurt were the best I have ever had..both made in house! Definitely will return!

A bit of a treasure in Beachwood Drive! We stumbled on it on the way back from our hike up to the Hollywood sign. We enjoyed a quality burger and delicious soup & a tasty beetroot salad. Nice friendly people serving there and good service.

Old haunt recently changed hands was turned into a pretentious service challenged dive. The restaurant was less than a third full and the rude waiter could not have been more insulting. The apparent manager didn't seem to be cognizant of his own domain. I walked out without getting served.

So good we went three times in a week! The staff are extremely friendly, and it's got a lovely village-like chilled out atmosphere.

Stopped here on the way back down from the Hollywood sign for refreshments and it the staff were friendly, it was nice an busy but we were served quickly. Everything was lovely, good choice of food and drink at the sort of price you would expect for Hollywood but felt more like a little cute town cafe that you could wander to on a Sunday for brunch and meet friends and know everyone else in there.

Popped in on my way down to the sign. Service was good and even though it took a longer while, they were showing a classic film in a big screen that kept me entertained. The services was very nice, you feel it is very local but you can feel it is quite classy as well. Price... a little over my expectations but still good. (Free wi-fi)

We primarily went to eat at the Beachwood Cafe because it was close enough to walk to, but kept going back because the food is fresh and delicious. The portions are generally great (the Chocolate Bread and Butter Pudding is best shared between two, though!), the staff are friendly and helpful and the prices are reasonable. All in all a great experience.

The menu of this place is extensive- suspiciously so. How can it be good at so many things? We got takeout so I want to cut them some slack as food always suffers in takeout. But, this place was just ok. Would not go out of my way at all for it, but it was the most convenient restaurant to our Airbnb.

This cafe was recommended to us by the manager of the condo we rented. It was just up the street from the condo so very convenient. It was delicious. They have a very good selection of different food so there should be something for everyone in your party to enjoy. My son had the burger and fries and could not stop talking about how special the fries were. I enjoyed a bowl of shrimp gazpacho and the beet and spinach salad. This was way too much for me to eat so had to take most of the salad home. Portions are large so you might want to share.
Out driving around and stopped…..
We both agreed that for a neighborhood cafe, this place was really worth the find. We had breakfast at about 11am here. The staff was efficient and attentive, but not overwhelming, while the food was presented well, quick and a good breakfast. Fresh ingredients (the baked bread was great) and the portions just right. It is quite the quirky little place with the decor. Cute, clean, and had good atmosphere. Lots of coming and going, carrying out drinks, etc. The dining in was consistent, but not hectic, just fluid. Really liked the Basil mint lemonade. Price-wise, some people may find it to be expensive, but I felt the price fit what was being served. It's not the I-Hop that is why we came here. FYI - the day before we were going to stop by and eat, but they were closed for filming on-site for "Chopped" on the Food Network. What does that say? We would definitely go back!
