This is a charming little restaurant with a great menu. It can be hard to find a fancy, but not too expensive restaurant in the city, but Beatrix is one of them. It is definitely not cheap, but it’s nicer place to go without breaking the bank. My family and I always have a lovely time and never skip dessert!

I visited Beatrix on a summer Saturday night and it is somewhere I would easily dine again. We started with the Kennepec fries which had a delicious aoili accompanied by friend lemons and chili's for an added surprise. My date had the Bebe Chicken which was outstanding to say the least. I would recommend that as a dish. I had the short rib which was just ok due a sweet chili sauce that I didn't love with the meat and the sweet potato mash lacking. I just won't choose that dish again, but would go back and Beatrix has a lovely atmosphere, good vibe, and plenty of other dishes that I would go back and try. I'll probably just order that Bebe Chicken though!! I would definitely go back to try breakfast or lunch. I would not call Beatrix a special occasion restaurant, but one that I would go back to over and over again. I went to the Fulton Market location which is in the middle of a bunch of hip bars and restaurants, so a great neighborhood to explore after dinner.

I’ve been a big fan of Beatrix since Lettuce Entertainment opened the concept! The food, service and ambiance has always been very consistent. I understand that staffing is an issue so the wait times are a bit longer than pre-covid and I always factor that into any restaurant I go to these days. The food this time was disappointing. Both my guest and I had the burger for a change and the meat patty was very thin and greasy and not good. In the past when I had the burger it was always well prepared and very tasty. Not this time. We also ordered the pecan-pumpkin pie and it was delicious! But, at $11.46, it was overpriced considering the burger was $16.95. Not sure what’s going on but this visit did not live up to my previous experiences.

We chose Beatrix Fulton Market for brunch on a Monday...it was a holiday. The service was very good and the menu, while a bit small on selection, was good. The food quality was excellent and so was the cocktail selection. There were some very decadent menu options that I am sure are delicious if you were one of the marathon runners! It was a little loud when we first arrived, but I think that was based a specific group that were having a great time. There is great outdoor dining if the weather is nice, but there is some construction in the area if you are sensitive to jack-hammer noise. The bakery/coffee bar is also a plus if you don't have time for a sit down meal.

This was the PERFECT lunch place. We sat outdoors in their large patio area and got a menu of items that had so many interesting and great sounding dishes that it was hard to choose. In the end, I ordered the Kung Pao Brussels sprouts (wonderfully complex flavors) and crudites with guacamole and Green Goddess sauce (which one rarely ever sees any more). I will go back, and that says a lot for a foodie city like Chicago.

We sat outside and enjoyed a beautiful sunny afternoon, midweek so not too much traffic. Great weather. Service and decor is very nice for an mid-scale restaurant. Server was polite, but not overly friendly. Food was good, service was good, but overall average, specially in a very competitive restaurant scene at the Fulton market.

Cauliflower grits, Lemon pancakes, chicken sausage, carrot/orange/ginger juice, just a few of the amazing menu items experienced during my visit. Excellent food. Looking forward to my next trip to Chicago soI can try some of their other items.

good service but I'm not into the very noisy atmosphere. wanted to talk to family we hadn't seen in a while, and were lucky to hear every 3rd word.

We arrived before 10 am so there was no wait. The Bloody Mary was not overly spicy and the brown sugar bacon was very good. The cauliflower grits and eggs were good. Would recommend.

I have never been disappointed by a Lettuce Entertain You Restaurant and this is no exception. They have a wonderfully eclectic menu. You can eat gluten free, vegan, vegetarian or have a burger. Although I was going to order a quinoa cake I couldn’t resist ordering the chilaquiles, one of my favorite dishes. It was served buffet style with all types of add ons and was wonderful. My wife had enchiladas which she really liked. Fresh made juices really cap off the meal. We did not try any of the amazing looking fresh baked goods.

We loved the breakfast menu so much, we went three times in 3 days! We stayed two blocks away from the Fulton Market location for the Thanksgiving weekend, and glad we found Beatrix. Our request for a piping hot cup of tea and coffee were delightfully met. The yogurt parfait with caramelized banana and chia seed honey was a great start, and the savory breakfast burrito was really well balanced. We should have ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes again before we left but we ended up ordering a few of the pastries. Good thing we did because the breakfast croffin (croissant muffin) with egg and spinach was off the chart! We’ll definitely return on our next visit to Chic!

We visited here with our family in June. We were seated farily quickly given the size of our group. The staff were attentive throughout our experience. The food selections were great and the food was delicious! We had a small mixup with one of our entrees. It was quickly remedied. Three different staff checked in to make sure we were good. Definitely a place you should try.

Ona business trip while being mindful of my food consumption. I was apprehensive as this was a large company dinner and the menu was preselected. We had the Hummus, Brussels sprouts for an appetizer. I chose the Chicken Bebe and asparagus as my entree. The chicken was lightly breaded with a light lemon tasting sauce to compliment it. It was so delicious. For dessert the group had caramel and chocolate desserts which they loved but I passed on. If you’re in town give it a try....

My friends and I visited on a girl's weekend about a week ago, and I am still thinking about the chia cereal bowl that I had here, which is not something I say often! It was very reasonably priced for the quantity and quality of the food, and the fresh peach compote that was mixed in my bowl was TO DIE FOR. My friends all felt similarly about their meals. The staff was also ridiculously nice and friendly, we had especially great service from Kelsey. The ambiance is also lovely and inviting, would absolutely return here :)

I live near The Beatrix on Clark Street and have eaten there several times. I stopped going as it has been unpleasant experiences. Both locations have “ok” food. However, friends have recommended Beatrix Fulton Market -which I was able to go to today. The Beatrix Fulton Market is an open setting with helpful, friendly and smiling hostess and wait staff. The experience is pleasant compared with the sister restaurant of River North. The River North location was unhelpful, unfriendly and grouchy. If you want to go to a Beatrix restaurant I would choose the Fulton Market location as compared with River North.

Started with Tomato soup . Was not too thick or creamy. Had Turkey Neatloaf as an entree, delicious comfort food you crave in the winter but did not feel stuffed or heavy afterwards. Finished with the Oh My!Caramel pie. Thick, creamy, and rich filling in a shortbread cookie crust. If you like caramel, don't skip it! if you don't have time to sit for a meal they have a food/salad bar for grab and go as well as a coffee shop with pastries inside the restaurant. Parking in this area is horrendous.

I came to Beatrix for brunch on Sunday July 29, celebrating my birthday. I got seated within the time stated. I ordered a cappuccino and after waiting 20 minutes I asked my waitress Courtney how long does it take for a cappuccino I have been waiting 20 minutes after another 7 minutes My cappuccino came. I placed my order for scrambled eggs hard with grilled onions and mushrooms. Which I waited another 20 minutes. When the food came, the eggs were runny and greasy, which Courtney asked was my food ok and I instantly told her no look at my plate then she ask if I wanted it sent back, I said yes. It was awful, then 10 minutes later the food came out and the eggs we’re slightly cooked hard and instead of 3 strips of bacon I got 2 and half small strips of bacon. The breakfast was not good at all. The manager Jacy Jones came over to apologize for the poor service and the poor food and she comp the $16.30 breakfast and coffee. I left the restaurant still hungry and very disappointed. I hope that because I am a black woman that I received bad service in the section Thai was seated in. I am a Lettuce Entertainment Frequent Diner Member

We went to Beatrix with a family group of 7 adults for dinner. The atmosphere is lively and comfortable with a nice outdoor seating area. The restaurant was not crowded but we waited quite a long time for our drinks to arrive. The highlight of the meal was the appetizers. We enjoyed the hummus, burrata and french fries with our cocktails. After cocktails, we ordered dinner. Several guests ordered soup or salad in addition to their entrees. The food arrived very quickly - almost too quickly for a Friday evening and much to our disappointment the server brought our salads, soup and entrees to the table at the same time. To the servers credit, she did apologize and the manager came over to apologize as well. They did make an adjustment to the bill, but an error like this spoils the flow of an evening out with family. The food was mediocre. We did appreciate the gluten free menu offered by Beatrix upon request, but overall, we were disappointed with the experience at Beatrix Fulton Market.

Not surprising for a Lettuce Entertain You establishment...menu is very interesting. My wife had the Chili and Chocolate Salmon with smoked almond slaw, which she loved; I had the Carmelized Pork Shank with Cider Reduction, mashed potatoes and roasted peaches - which I LOVED! We had the Kung Pao Brussels Sprouts, which were a bit too al dente for me - lots of chewing. Aside from that, I would happily try some other things on the menu at another visit.

I love Beatrix food and they have the absolute best caramel pie on the planet. This time though the service was very slow and inattentive. I think our server only came by 3 times the whole meal, to order drinks, food and then the check. We had to ask one of the bus boys walking around for mustard and the manager eventually brought it over. Overall, it's a fun place but a fairly limited menu and can be very busy. I would stick to brunch in the future vs dinner as I have never had a bad meal or service early on a weekend.

I guess my wife and I will visit every restaurant in the Lettuce Entertain Empire until we find one that burns the steak or sours the lemonade or snubs a customer. It hasn't happened yet and it probably never will. We just keep enjoying one of Rich Melman's creations after another, one cuisine after another (except sushi). Beatrix, with three venues in Chicago, is one of Melman's latest ventures. It combines an American eatery with a wine and cocktail bar with a bakery/cafe. As is always the case with a LEY restaurant, the food is unique, fresh and tasty. We opted to have dinner at the Beatrix location at 834 West Fulton Market in Chicago's West Loop or Fulton Market neighborhood. It was worth the trip. My wife loved the Szechuan chicken, a dish she hadn't had in several years. I had Caesar salad and pan-roasted Chilean sea bass. We washed it all down with fresh lemonade. Next time, we'll sample the chili and glazed salmon and wagyu pot roast filet mignon. For dessert, we shared a big slice of strawberry pie. What can you say about a Rich Melman restaurant? You don't know what you'll get but you know you'll like it. And you always do.

After a recent visit to Aba upstairs, we decided to return for the highly recommended Beatrix downstairs in the same building. Good choice for healthy, delicious food for those of us who want those options! Kung Pao brussels sprouts and local Burrata served with tasty toasted bread/kale pesto and tomatoes were a great start followed by the Straight "A" Salad...arugula, avocado, Asiago, almonds and Asian pear. We also shared the tasty Szechuan chicken.

During our visit to Chicago we took a long walk and ended up at Fulton Market. We walked into Beatrix and looked at the menu. They have a wonderful variety and way too many good choices. We decided to make reservations for another day and were not disappointed. The restaurant has a great vibe to it with a variety of seating options both inside and out. We loved our dinners and would highly recommend this restaurant.

So healthy, yummy, great atmosphere. Perfect! Great place for families or singles. Loved the healthy choices.

Dropped in for lunch and had outstanding service and a great lunch. Fried chicken sandwich and fries were delicious as was the blueberry basil drink. Great vibe!

Wow, the chef cooks great food, the service was fantastic and we had our own little greenhouse enclosure to eat in. Don't forget to order some cookies, they are beyond special.

At 10:45 a.m. on a Saturday morning, Beatrix was packed--would've had to wait a while if we didn't have reservations. Tables are close together so noise level is on the high side, but still manageable. Spicy Chicken Tinga was an excellent brunch choice. Definitely the place to be in the Fulton Market on a sunny Saturday morning.

First visit to a Beatrix restaurant for me as I don't think they existed when I lived in Chicago. Went for Brunch for a friend's Bday and wasn't disappointed. Menu has some tasty options, and I opted for a Daily Special omelette - mushroom/cheese. Nothing fancy but it was well cooked and tasty. Not huge portions, but I was fully satisfied. Not sure it would have been enough for a super hungry man? Perhaps order an extra side? Will say the Bloody Mary's were great! And a few of my fellow diners had their champagne mixed cocktails. The BM were nice and spicy and well-sized! Great way to kick-start the morning!

Definitely a hot spot for Sunday Brunch! Great menu options to satisfy any brunch style you enjoy. I will be returning to try lunch/dinner soon!

Fun hip vibe on a street loaded with foodie spots, Beatrix delivers. We had the exquisite Burrata and roasted tomatoes, beets with goat cheese and Kung Pao brussel sprouts for apps. I had the Burnt honey chicken which was moist and flavorful with roasted asparagus and potatoes. So delicious. We were celebrating several 50 birthdays and they brought us slices of divine creme brûlée cake and a chocolate dessert which words cannot describe. Service was friendly and patient with our large group. Restaurant is loud if that is something you don’t like.

The staff was great for a large party for the holidays. The area was open and spacious with a lot of places to go and enjoy the crowd. The appetizers were very good and tasty, with nice varieties of different flavors and types of food. Enjoyable.

We started the meal with the hot honey brussel sprouts appetizer. My daughter had the Mediterranean salad, my husband had the Parmesan crusted chicken, and I had the dinner special of eggplant rago over pasta noodles. They were all delicious! We got some cookies to go and when we enjoyed the, they were sweet and filling. Would definitely recommend and return if in the area!

Dropped in for breakfast at Beatrix on Fulton Market in the very hot restaurant mecca on West Loop in Chicago and had a fantastic experience. Great fresh baked goods as you walk in and we were seated immediately. Amanda was our server and she was outstanding - friendly, engaging and a great smile. Very compelling menu - cauliflower grits were excellent as were eggs with grilled salmon. Very pretty dining room - spotlessly clean and nice outdoor seating. Look forward to going back.

Pretty disappointed with the food. My husband got the steak fries and the portion was really small, the fries were frozen, the steak blend and old. I got the rigatoni, the sauce was loose and made me sick all night. The service was average.

The food was absolutely delicious! It’s all fresh and a very eclectic menu. They have craft cocktails made with fresh fruit and they will not disappoint. We sat at the bar and had great service.

Even tho the restaurant was busy, the hostess was kind and frazzled as she found a place for us. The turkey smash burger was a highlight- yum! Fries could have been crispier but they were not the main event. Friendly, lively atmosphere that makes you want to live and work in Chicago despite some freezing temps

We had a delicious, contemporary dinner in this attractive place that is calmer and less expensive than some of its Restaurant Row counterparts.

I heard great things about this chain from the Lettuce Entertainment Group. I was in the area of Chicag Fulton Market so I hosted a few friends for lunch at Bratrix. My reservation was honored right away upon arrival. The server was very pushy and had to be told to giver us a few minutes to go over the menu. The food was good, but not great.

Upon a recommendation, my husband and I dined at Beatrix recently. We heard rave reviews from our kids who had recently gone there so we decided to give it a try. Wow! First of all, our waitress, Chayrel, could not have been more helpful. She went over just about everything on the menu and even suggested some of her own favorites. I gladly took her up on the Szechuan Chicken which was out-of-this-world delicious. My husband got the Sea bass but asked that the fennel be exchanged for something else and they gladly accommodated him. He Loved it! (I did sneak a taste of it and honestly, it was like butter- so good.) We got there in time for happy hour and I enjoyed the nice $5 wine they offered which was such a pleasant surprise. We ended our experience with the most delectable Chocolate Cake I ever tasted and I do believe it was flourless. What a great time overall at a very cool place with so much ambiance and character as well as sensational food. Try it!

Three of us had Saturday brunch at Beatrix. The ambiance was very nice with the windows open on a lovely day. Sadly the food was just average. The waffles were too crunchy and the other two entrees could have been warmer. The chicken tinga and green chili enchilada were just average in taste. No wow factor.

Fulton Market is teeming with new restaurants, including the Beatrix. We ended up here because the space looked amazing (on par with all the new West Loop restaurant interiors) and because we could get a seat last minute on a Saturday (6:15 pm). Of all the restaurants I visited during this trip to Chicago, Beatrix was my favorite. We started our meal off with the Kung Pao brussel sprouts. My husband and I always try to order brussel sprouts when we see them on a menu as a baseline for the overall quality of the establishment. This dish was wonderfully balanced and flavorful and on par with the best sprouts we've ever had! For my main dish I ordered the Yellow Tomato Gazpacho. As my readers may know, soup is also a dish I frequently order. This gazpacho was also some of the best I've ever had. It didn't look like the usual gazpacho, the presentation was a smooth, completely pureed bowl of light yellow. But the single color of the gazpacho belied all the underlying flavors. A perfect blend of veggies and smoothness, wonderfully refreshing for a hot summer night. I look forward to returning to Beatrix to try several other veggie-filled items on their menu!

We had a team dinner here with three appetizers, three entrees and two desserts, served family style. The room where we hosted our dinner was just the right size for the team and they were even able to accommodate more guests than we expected. Every single dish that we were served was mouth watering and absolutely delicious! The short rib was immaculate, but a lot of my team members said the Chicken Bebe was their favorite. The brussels sprouts were also the best I've ever had. I'll definitely be back!

We had Sunday brunch here and thought the food was good. We've eaten at Beatrix before but not at this location. Reservations are a good idea as it is popular, but its easier to get in here than the River North location. I had the tuna poke and it was good. They also had a chilequiles bar as a special that morning, an all you can eat kind of thing. We were there at the tail end of the brunch hour and they were not replenishing things, so it was kind of a sad chilequiles bar. not too much eggs and chicken and lots of chips, salsa and guac. Cold eggs. I'd definitely avoid something like this in the future. My husband wasn't happy with this choice.

When you come here to dine, make sure to ask for Sarah as your server. She made our experience there today at lunch so wonderful. Efficient, kind and very receptive to our gluten and dairy allergies. The Chicken Meatballs are outstanding, the Roasted Chicken Sandwich has tender chicken and the bread is soft and doesn't take out your jaw when biting into it. The desserts are classic...my favorite is the butterscotch oatmeal cookie!

Atmosphere is very loud and lively. Not a good place for quiet conversation. Our server was great and did not rush us through our meal. The food was just average I thought, but huge portions. Menu is extremely varied with something for everyone. We had the brussel sprouts for appetizer and that was probably the best thing we ate. We also had the highly touted meatballs which were entirely tasteless. We then split a salad (huge) and the pork shank (also huge). I can see why people come here as the prices are very reasonable for what you get and considering the area you are in. I would not return. Nothing special.

Loved this place! Our daughter introduced my husband and I to it a couple months ago. Loved the ambiance, loved the food and loved the service. Definitely recommend it. Only downside is parking is hard to find as it's only street parking.

Went with another couple for Sunday brunch around 11:30. As most places it was packed on a Sunday morning. I started with a Bloody Mary which was good. I went with the steak chimmichurri. It was pretty good not excellent. Cooked Med rare as ordered came with eggs which I had over easy. Also got a side of bacon. After everyone finished our meals we decided to share an order of pancakes between the four of us. These were really good. Lemon flavored and hard to describe but almost custardy on the interior. Not dry and fluffy. Which was fine with all of us. Having just gone for brunch the previous morning at summer house Santa Monica on Halsted, Beatrix was good but a clear step below summer house.

Living in the West Loop, there is no dearth of options. Yet, whenever I have a friend in the neighborhood looking for an easy restaurant, this is where I always go. The food is consistently good--my favorites are the cauliflower salad and the kung pao Brussels sprouts. The Beatrix is often full for brunch, speaking to its popularity. I always recommend the spicy chicken tinga and cauliflower grits & eggs to my friends. Pro-tip: Make friends with the wait staff and they may even give you some "wastries" on the house (pastries that they'll throw away at the end of the night)--be sure to tip appropriately though if you do receive these gifts!

Amazing!!! The entire experience was amazing!!!! The Brussels Sprouts are must have!! The perfect amount of heat!! The Tuna Crudo was fresh and delicious!! Portion Sizes are appropriate for sharing!! The Poke Bowl is the best in the City! And the Salmon Tacos are to Die For!!!! Everything, including the service, was so wonderful that we had to call the manager over! Kendall Z, the Manager, was truly the most outstanding hostess ever!! She knows exactly how to run a business so that people want to come back!! She focuses on customer satisfaction to make sure it is a pleasant dining experience!!

We took an early walk - for almost 2 miles - to go to breakfast at the Beatrix in Fulton Market on a Saturday morning. We live by the two other Beatrix's downtown. The food was similar to the other two locations - but the staff were not as friendly. It is a nice location with large windows that open up to the outside.

Breakfasted here with a group of four. Liked that offerings included the traditional eggs/potatoes/meat and many creative options. The Cauliflower Grits and Egg were a great choice, not something you see on every breakfast menu. Also enjoyed were the Braised Pot Roast and Egg Sandwich. Would pass on the hash browns....

The MUSHROOM & QUINOA BURGER was excellent. It was served with kennebec fries. Restaurant is on a busy street corner. The inside is very modern. Their drinks are excellent too.

Like the other two outposts, this Beatrix is amazing! The food is always to die for and the service is friendly. And you don't have to just come in for a full-blown meal. Swing by the goodies counter and pick something else up for later...maybe to enjoy at your desk or for your commute home. Maybe spend a while in the lounge area enjoying a nitro cold brew... Whatever your reason for coming into Beatrix is, it is sure to be enjoyable.

Marvelous place! The food is very fresh and made to order. The service is fantastic. The wait stuff really knows their menu, too. Love this place!!!

I'd been to another location of this restaurant perhaps a year ago, so when we found ourselves in the Fulton Market area last weekend, we knew we'd want to stop somewhere for lunch. We'd gone to the Randolph Street Market and, forgetting the time, we left there around 1:45pm in search for lunch. Unfortunately, most restaurants seem to stop serving lunch at 2pm (accepting no stragglers), so with hunger pains building, we stumbled into Beatrix expecting to be turned away there as well. Well, surprise! They stay open for lunch until 3pm, making us very happy. My wife started off with a glass of the house sangria (quite good) while I had a "spicy bloody Mary" which was, in fact, quite spicy, but mellowed out by a delicious piece of maple-cured bacon. We ordered two mains to split - a cauliflower grits dish (grits, roasted cauliflower, eggs and more) and an ahi tuna poke bowl. The food was delivered in a flash and, while the portions were just slightly smaller than we'd hoped for (but very reasonably priced), the food was delicious, with the tuna on the poke of very high-quality and the roasted veggies just what we'd hoped for. Service was good overall, and so I'd certainly recommend Beatrix to anyone looking for a better than average lunch experience in an area with many, many options.

Open, airy, casual, comfortable. The Supernatural Salad was delicious. Raviolis were not typical boiled squares but little pillows freshly made (it appeared) and wrapped into lovely cheese packages. Recommended!

I went here on Friday night with some friends and they have a huge selection of beer, wine and cocktails as well as delicious food. I got the Caesar salad with grilled chicken and the salad was HUGE - I could for sure share it with someone. My friend got the roasted chicken and said it was one of the best chicken dishes she's ever had. The server was very attentive to our table as well too so that made our experience even better. A great place for a girls night out or a date night!

This was my first trip to the Fulton Market - a rehabbed stretch with restaurants, bars and best of all out door seating..Food was tasty, good variety of appetizers and main entrees. Prices refreshingly moderate in my opinion. There was an interesting bar at one end, a curtained off area for semi private dining and a market (which I didnt visit) and a wall of windows with good view of the outside dining and street scene. This will be good for people watching in warm weather! I also just found out there are a few other Beatrix scattered around Chicagoland - need to check them out!

We tried to make reservations on Open table before coming in as usual, but somehow the app was not allowing it so we just walked in for brunch and I politely informed them of them of this issue, thinking it might help the manager contact Open table to prevent other costumers from having issues, but instead they just rudely responded ok, how many people and rolled their eyes. They also lied about the wait and instead of 25 minutes we sat there waiting for over 50. If I wasn’t so hungry I’d have left. Super disappointed in their hostess service.

We had brunch and it was very rich. Abundant. Assorted chart. Rich breads. Good service and reasonable prices. Nearby metro station

Located in the Fulton Market area of Chicago, Beatrix does a very nice job of presenting old favorites and well thought out specials. This LEY restaurant does not seem like a chain. Many drink options. Seating is kind of quirky...luckily we had many pillows for support.

Upon arrival we were met with disdain and short one word answers by the hostess. As three people simply asking for a table for drinks at 2pm in the afternoon (12th of June should management be interested), this should have been an easy accommodation. Sadly not at this establishment. After giving the benefit of the doubt and waiting for a space despite her rudeness, to then be told to move away from it and stand over there “until we are ready to let you lot sit down” was beyond belief. We left and went to the infinitely better Bar La Rue across the street and I suggest you do the same. A horrendous experience that has shocked all of us as seasoned business travellers. Avoid at all costs.

Went in on a lunch date with my bbf. Its been on my "go to" eateries list in Chicago. It did not disappoint. Great tasting food, perfect portion size, grrat service, priced right. Im giving it 4 stars only because it took me close to an hour to find parking (a 5 minute walk). There was no valet service and rhe closest parking garages/lots were full. Not sure if it was due to lunch hour but this area seema to always be busy. My advice, take a cab there. Would def return :) *pictured is the turkey burger sided with quinoa salad, paired with revolution IPA 😋

Five of us came for dinner and we only ordered one main dish each because we had theater tickets. The five dishes ranged from poor to mediocre. My chicken Bebe was really parmesan chicken with three asparagus and white wine sauce. It is no better than anything you can get from a run of the mill diner. My daughter ordered a salmon and Brussels sprouts. Both are subpar. I personally wouldn’t let food of such quality come out of my kitchen onto the family dinning table. The best of the dishes was the vegan cauliflower steak that my wife ordered. The ravioli and short rib both got thumbs down. Maybe this place used to be better or we had an off night. But I cannot recommend Beatrix if food quality is of priority to you. It seems like a nice place for a drink, however.

It’s a limited menu but everything was good. It is eclectic so you can get things like salmon or short rib like my kids got or salads and other dishes like skirt steak. I had Szechuan Chicken and it was delicious. Post modern decor and excellent service. Even the grandkids liked their meals.

Had a great late night dining experience. I got in only a few minutes before closing because of my flight delay, and was still able to order off the full dinner menu. I find that exceptional. I ordered the sea bass with corn(like an angel pissing on your tongue), Szechuan chicken and an asian salad. All very inspiring and outstanding dishes. I will be back for sure on my next trip to Chicago!

We came to Beatrix on the recommendation of my son. One of the sides that we had was the brown sugar bacon. I rarely order seconds on sides, but the bacon was really good, so why not. The menu is a bit on the eclectic side, certainly with some things that I never heard of that were good. The staff was friendly and efficient. The prices were a bit higher, but it is the Fulton Market area!

Beatrix has a comfortable, warm vibe, and the food was delicious. Service was friendly, cocktails were interesting, and there were lots of good dessert options. Valet parking was $15.

My partner suggested we visited this area despite it being a half hour walk across town. We hadn’t booked but they found us a table quickly and service was prompt. I went straight in for my normal coffee order quite quickly but wish I’d looked at the specials as there were some great options on there. We ordered the chicken sandwich and the breakfast burrito and both were really tasty. In fact I can’t stop thinking about the burrito. If we had been closer we would definitely have visited again on our visit to the city.

This was an amazing surprise....great atmosphere & the food was equally good. All four of us enjoyed our meals...skirt steak, chicken, ravioli & Brussel sprout appetizer were all amazing! Can't wait to go back & highly recommend this place!

Had a very pleasant brunch, the place is really nice and the staff was quite helpful although not fully enthusiastic (receptionist was on the phone and never acknowledged us until someone else arrived) The mexican chicken is really cool and the belgian wafles were good My only concern is that being canadian i notice when its not real maple syrup and it kinds of significantly affect the whole wafle experience. I would suspect its just because i am used to the taste and others won t notice / be bothered All in all a recommandation

we were there for a business dinner and we were served family style which was terrific. the food was delicious and they served a nice variety of appetizers, entrees and desserts.

The Fulton Market area seems to be a hip and up and coming restaurant area. Beatrix has quite a large patio for outdoor seating, and the front the the restaurant is wide open so that the interior gets the light and some benefit from the outdoors. It seems like a perfect place for brunch. I think you could put together a more conventional brunch dish with "eggs your way" but most of the items on the menu are on the unique side -- in a good way. My daughter-in-law had cauliflower grits and roasted brussel sprouts with eggs. She said the "grits" were really good and not overly processed. My son seemed to know immediately that he was having the chicken tinga (a spicy shredded chicken dish with tortilla chips). I had the skirt steak chimichurri with shishito peppers. I am currently on a big shishito pepper kick so that influenced my order. But the eggs were delicious, the steak perfectly prepared and the chimichurri spicy and bright. We also managed a couple of orders of brown sugar bacon which was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend splurging on that. Many things on the menu seemed to have a southwestern or Mexican influence and there were also a fair number of healthy options -- egg white omelettes, quinoa cakes -- but there was also pot roast and eggs -- so something for everyone. The bakery counter for take out looked amazing. If I wasn't totally full from my hearty brunch I might not have been able to resist some of the bake goods.

Perfect brunch place with fresh squeezed juices, pastries that are to die for, yummy breakfast like eggs and cauliflower grits and green chili enchiladas and lunch foods like the mushroom burger. Huge outside patio right on Fulton street with great people watching and energy. Perfect for families, large groups or couples, you just need to make a reservation ahead of time. Service was slow from the bat but fast from the kitchen. Also a great plane for dessert and coffee (caramel pie and peanut butter cookie with peanut butter filling we're both incredible.

We chose Beatrix since two of our party are vegetarian. The menu items are vast and delicious. The waitstaff was friendly and knowledgeable. Well worth the visit.

Nice furnishing, likable ambience, good service with host & server, but the foods such as fish a bit soggy and potatoes too salty to my liking. The cocktail is not enough of sweetness. The Brussels sprouts was good coz it was cooked different from the usual way of cooking. We were in a nice outdoor setting, wasn’t noisy, and served quickly.

Great brunch - pancakes, eggs, etc and I really loved the brussel sprouts - clearly the best thing I had in 2 visits here. Burger was disappointing Desserts - didnt even try but I really want to - save room...

The food and drinks are great. They have a strict allergen procedure to prevent cross contamination and an extensive gluten free menu. The ambiance is nice and decor modern.

Delish! Had the cauliflower grits with Brussels sprouts and a piece of GF coffee cake. It was so good and you could not tell it was GF!

Enjoyed a fantastic dinner here on a Thursday evening. Great atmosphere and quite a crowd for a weeknight. Our group loved all courses - Kung Pao Brussels Sprouts were delicious, Pot Roast Filet, Branzino, Chicken BeBe, Pork Shank, Fries Aioli. Huge portions, great cocktails, and cookies to go from the bakery up front. Really nice place with great service! Look forward to a return visit.

Went to Beatrix with another couple before the holidays. It’s a very busy area. Parking spots on the street are hard to find. You can valet (stand at corner). We really enjoyed meal. Our table was ready on time on Saturday night though the restaurant itself was uncharacteristically not that busy. The king Pau cauliflower $9 was great. The short rib $26 was delicious. The burgers for $15 was good but I’d pass and East one of the other options. The swordfish kabob $24 was very good. The miso salmon $24 was good but not special. Chic cake $9 really good as was chia pudding $7.

Took a friend for a birthday dinner here. Was fun and delicious. Recommend the Brussels sprout appetizer, but would pass on the chili chocolate salmon. Caramel cake was good, but most places comp for a birthday dessert and they did not. Appreciate purse hooks under tables and in bathroom.

My son recommended this place and the dinner salad was ok, but nothing to write home about. Wished they would have served bread on the side but did not. waited a long time for my drink after saying they did not have my brand of scotch. That is understandable, but the long wait inexcusable. I did not know this was a Lettuce Entertain You Restaurant which are pretty good.

We met some friends this morning for Brunch at this new spot in Fulton Market. The food was great and the service was excellent! The menu is similar to other Beatrix locations in the city, so there were no real surprises. The quality of the food was great. Our server (Will) did a great job. He watched over our table and made sure we had everything we needed. The place was crowded and we had about a 30 min wait to get a table for 5. Overall, it was a very positive experience and I am sure we will go again.

Menu is not rich and choices are not that many. Food is really average. Nice setup at least. The area around the restaurant offers good spots for a drink after dinner.

This was not our first choice, but the AC was not working at the Loyalst. The atmosphere was good as was the service. The skirt steak was exactly what I wanted amd prepared perfectly.

We had friends in from out of town and Beatrix is the perfect place for vegetarians, pick eaters and carnivores! Fun atmosphere, fair prices in the newest Chicago hot zone.

Walked in without a reservation at around 9:00pm on a weeknight. Beautiful decor. Friendly staff. Enjoyed the juice alternatives, in addition to the creative cocktails. Food was very good. Filet Mignon Pot roast was exceptional. Great burger and fries too. Check it out!

Arguably the best food in this newly exploited part of Chicago, Fulton Market which was, until quite recently for fresh fish and now for good food a wide assortment of good food. My favorite is Beatrix where there always seems to be a good table for a walk in, always friendly staff presenting a fine menu and wine list. Really liked the butternut and apple soup followed by our waiters suggested chicken bebe which was a taste treat. What I especially appreciate is that the plate is not more than full. Their wine list is not large but offers a fine selection at reasonable restaurant prices.

Wonderful setting for a nice meal. Creative work done in the kitchen to piece together a delicious menu; taking everyday ingredients to make extraordinary dishes. Fast friendly service, good wine list at a great location full of energy.

My first visit to Fulton Market. Our party of 4 enjoyed a Monday brunch and everything was amazing. I especially enjoyed the ginger fruity sangria. We were so busy talking that we didn't realize that our food was taking a long time, but were pleasantly surprised with the complimentary plate of pastries that was placed on our table. Our meal was delicious.

We stopped in for business team dinner. Great service, nice decor and atmosphere. Service was attentive and friendly. We tried many dishes and drinks - Brussel Sprouts, Burrata, Pot Roast, Ravioli, Short Ribs and more. All the food was well prepared, presented and tasty.

Had brunch on a Saturday with our family with 8 and 10 year olds. Great selection of food and drinks for the adults. Chilaquiles special was great. A bit on the noisy side and could use a bit more on the kids menu.

Our first Triple Chocolate Gluten-free Cookie was popping with rich, deep, moist flavor, as were our next few visits’ choices. Sadly, the triple choc. cookies we bought for the airport and our friends back home weren’t as moist and thus as delicious as our first.

I had a great time here with a couple of friends. The place was really nice and the service was amazing too. I ordered a pokebowl it was pretty good. My friends got pancakes and eggs and they were happy with their order. Will def go back for brunch. Price was pretty good too.

Three of had booked a table for 1030 on a Sunday. We had to wait a few minutes before we could be seated which was fine. The food was delicious and the barista made coffee was good enough for us each to have a second cup. But we were so squeezed in that getting out to go to the toilet was really difficult. I get that they want to serve as many customers as possible, but a little more space between tables would have made for a much more pleasant environment.

I like Beatrix because it has an uncomplicated menu and usually has good food. We were going to the United Center so wanted something on this side of town. Our appetizers were good, but the entrees were so-so. I have good memories of the Beatrix in River North, but honestly the here food was just okay. I'm not sure if it is the pandemic and the lack of labor or what but our entrees were borderline too salty to eat. One of our friends wouldn't finish hers. The bakery goods we did "to go" for dessert and my husband reported that the cookies were just so-so. I'm disappointed because I wanted Beatrix to be my go-to place where everyone could get something they like. I might try the River North location, but we prob won't come back here. Too many good restaurants as competition.

We love the new west loop location, great dining room is very large and also is the patio . Food always delivers. Surely recommend for a nice weather dinner!

We just had a couple of espressos, at the café bar area, the lady that took our order, explained us the type of coffee that they use, and the aromas & flavors that has each one of it. The selection of pastries is very nice. The only thing that surprise me, was that near by the coffee bar, was a complete set bar, and we couldn´t get any drink because apparently the bar was not open yet, or the bar tender wasn´t around. The restaurant area was packed, and everything smell and looked very nice. We, need to come back and try the menu the next time.
Fresh produce at a reasonable price
I was in Fulton Market and saw that Beatrix restaurant had a fresh food market part to the main restaurant. The dishes on offer were really appealing, and ostensibly it was a takeaway formula but there was clean and tidy seating and not too crowded. It was professionally laid out and very reasonably priced. Sometimes this type of formula becomes messy and unappealing, but not in Beatrix market. My lunch cost less than 10 dollars (the cost is calculated by weight) and the salads were imaginative and delicious. I didn’t try the hot dishes but I am sure they were of the same standard.
