Despite it being Memorial Day weekend, they got me a very comfortable table and the staff was very nice and attentive. The food is very good and the room modern and a bit underground but stylish. Highly recommended for a healthy breakfast or meal and an informal dinner.

I went to Beatrix for breakfast at 8 AM while a friend was having a medical procedure at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. I entered the Beatrix from the hospital and got a table with comfortable seats near a window. My server, Augusta, was attentive and brought my food quickly. I ordered hot tea and scrambled eggs with hash browned potatoes, bacon and toast. The food was good. When I couldn't finish it, my server brought a take home container and bag for me.

Escaped the piercing cold of Chicago for an evening drink and food. Typical warm welcome we received in all Chicago restaurants. Had an excellent glass of wine at the bar whilst waiting for a table to come free (not the cheapest wine on the planet but very good). At the table, had great service and was a wonderful selection on the menu. I started with a cauliflower dish (forgotten full title) and it was genuinely excellent. Followed up be burger which was very good (but struggled to outshine the amazing starter.) Great ambience.

Recommend by our hotel and was really good breakfast accommodating all our requests. Any variety of milk replacements and gluten free options.

Stopped into Beatrix Marketplace in Streeterville for a quick beverage before continuing on a walk recently. This place is near Northwestern Hospital. Employees frequent it for nourishment and fun. I enjoyed the POWER GREENS beverage - a smoothie that included kale, romaine, celery, pineapple, mint (~ $7). It was very good. Service was fast and friendly. I even received a croissant butter pastry “just because”!

Cool place to grab a dinner for us. Tucked within the Northwestern Memorial Hospital Campus. Atmosphere was serene n appeared to be really nice place to grab a bite especially if downtown. Variety of American fares. Their straight A salad was sumpcious, didn’t realize that the combo of arugula n pears with a tasty vinaigrette would b so good. Their burgers were delicious n heard their fries were good n they did not disappoint.

The food was good and the lace is beautiful, but the service was not so good. Not terrible, but not so good. The food was good though. So I will certainly go back, maybe when it is not so crowed.

Three cheers for Beatrix Lemon Ricotta pancakes, the Shashouka and the amazing coffee! Our server (thanks Ariel!) was friendly, efficient and very knowledgeable of menu selection goodness nuances. This particular restaurant is large, and can accommodate groups. Prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality of their offerings.

First time at this amazing Chicago restaurants. Wonderful assortment of appetizers. I had the SLOW-BRAISED SHORT RIB* chili & chocolate glaze, smoked almond slaw, corn tortillas. Absolutely amazing. Recommended in spades.

Reviews were good so we gave it a shot. The wife’s lemon pancakes were good. I had the steak chimichurri. I asked for jam for my toast and catsup for my hash browns when I ordered. Meal came no condiments. Finally caught the waitresses attention. Jessie B . She said she didn’t know why it wasn’t brought with the meal. It still wasn’t brought until I flagged her again. Neither my eggs or steak were hot when brought to the table.so So sad because the flavor was good but a disappointment overall. We only occasionally visit Chicago so probably won’t go back.

Had breakfast here. They were busy so booked reservation on open table an hour ahead. They had our table waiting for us. Best chicken sausage, great food overall. Atmosphere was excellent. Comfy chairs, none of that metal or wood seating.

Quite possibly worst service ever. Our lemon pancakes were NOT light & fluffy. More like wet & burnt. A unique combination. The baked items we took to go (because we couldn’t eat the pancakes) were good though.

Met family there for a Sunday brunch and we had a great meal..The menu is diverse and suitable for all ages.

Most of their reviews focus on their breakfast, but I had a lovely dinner for one at Beatrix. I had the day’s special - Cuban Chicken - which was cooked perfectly. It was juicy and flavorful and just the right portion size. They have a lot of natural juices and sodas. I tried the Cucumber Mint soda which was refreshing. Overall, this is a nice little spot!

They serve breakfast items into afternoon. Omelet bland, slightly overcooked, ingredients were not as ordered. Blueberry/basil drink very flavorful, caramel pie divine. Server not that personable/attentive (seemed bored). Coffee bar in front has a wide variety of baked goods, grab-n-go lunch market in back has salad & hot food bars in tight quarters.

Stumbled across Beatrix near our hotel and glad we did. We are visiting from Ireland and enjoyed the excellent contemporary food, great early evening vibe (we dinned ~5.30pm) and even better service. Great spot for any occasion. Recommend the whipped feta starter and fish tacos for main. Really want to commend the manager Michael for saving us from a possible bag snatch and ensured our holiday experience remained untarnished and positive.

Ate here this past weekend with my niece and spouse who love this restaurant. I see why they do, as all the food was delicious. I ordered the Egg white omelette. Per the menu, it is made with white cheddar, baby spinach, avocado & tomato salsa, organic turkey bacon and of course egg whites. Fantastic! Would go back again, if I lived in Chicago. Food delicious, mood lively but still able to hear, winner!

First, be sure to make a reservation for this great brunch spot - there are a lot of people who agree on Beatrix. I sat at the bar but there are only so many spots. The coffee is great. Had the orange, mango, and pineapple nectar which was spot on with drinks we have in Latin America. Enjoyed the eggs, hashbrowns, brown sugar bacon, and toast. It is obvious that preparing healthy, organic foods in a delicious manner.

Visited this place three times accompanied by my family and every time it was delicious! No complaints from any of us. If you are planning to visit make sure you reserve in advance because it can get very full during the weekend. Enjoy!

I enjoyed eating at the Beatrix. The menu had something for everyone (i.e gluten free, vegetarian, omnivore, etc). I had the chili/chocolate rubbed salmon which came with soft tortillas. So I made tacos and they were delicious! Service was attentive and engaging. I would definitely eat here again.

We stopped in to get a quick bite per recommendation of our hotel concierge. Sat at the bar, ordered some fun chicago brewed beers & ordered our food. My hubs had the Waygu pot roast & loved it. I ordered the the Vegan mushroom risotto, it had way too much truffle oil, I rarely send things back but I did. I ordered the black bean cakes which were tasty & just enough to satisfy. A manager came up & apologized & comped my meal. I was very impressed as the dish was not made incorrectly, it was just not my preference. This is great customer service!! Thank you!

3/4 of us wish there had been some sort of seasoning in the food. That was disappointing. We had burger, fish tacos, and steak & fries.

My husband and I really enjoyed our lunch at Beatrix during a recent visit to Chicago. We kind of stumbled on it while walking around the area, and we're really glad we did. Both our meals were fresh and flavorful, and we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant. The servers were friendly and helpful in making our selections.

We chose this restaurant from a recommendation on the website of a show we were attending nearby. The hostess seemed unhappy when we arrived. The waiter seemed unhappy, barely spoke to us. We mentioned we were attending a show, had to ask for the prix fixe menu. Service was very slow. Even after asking for drinks we had ordered and mentioning attending the show again. By the time our entrees arrived we had about 5 minutes to eat. We asked for the bill early, so we would not have to wait on that. The bill arrived speedily enough, even before our food. We had planned 90 minutes at this restaurant before the show, this was obviously not enough time. Avoid unless you have time to wait and enjoy unhappy staff.

Last year when we were in Chicago we walked by Beatrix and stopped in for a meal. It was incredible. This time we brought friends to show them a great spot. Everyone loved it. The cocktails with fresh pressed juices are perfect. The “snacks”, including tuna, chicken meatballs, brussels, beets, cheese, etc were all wonderful. The Caesar salad can be eaten as a meal and my wife absolutely loved the butternut squash ravioli. Fabulous service, fabulous food, fair prices. Be sure to give Beatrix a try.

Food was good, their fresh juices were a delight. They seem to have a lot of vegan stuff. Staff was friendly and professional.

I was by myself for lunch so I sat at the bar and ordered the ham and swiss croissant with arugula. It was a long wait, and when it came, it was in to-go containers. I had to ask the bartender for a plate and utensils. So their staff don’t really seem to know what they’re doing. The top of the croissant was burned to a crispy black. I had never eaten here before so I asked the bartender if this was how they normally served (thinking she could offer to send it back), and she said yes, that’s how they do it. The arugula was arugula, so it was fine. Even without the blackened top, the ham and swiss croissant was worse than mediocre. The guy next to me had the enchiladas which looked and smelled like something you’d get at a cheap diner. Given the quality of the food, the prices are outlandish (a lot more expensive than, say, Starbucks). You’ll do better elsewhere.

Moderate price restaurant with good food, service was good, went on a week night no reservation needed, menu included gluten free options.

Nice atmosphere, great food, friendly staff! Our best breakfast during a weekend stay in Chicago. Interesting choices along with traditional breakfasts & delicious pastries, plus very good coffee! We will be back!!

I was really disappointed in this place. Service was adequate at best, no table check, barista not working so they served filter coffee only which was weak and the quality of pancakes was awful; watery and disintegrated. In fairness, the eggs and bacon were ok but I’d recommend Sunny Side Up across the Mag Mile with a much more extensive menu and better, more friendly service

The atmosphere at Beatrix is great. More upscale than a diner with nicer seating and ambiance. We enjoyed our breakfast, however the portions were a bit on the smaller side. The pastries looked amazing but didn't get any. I perhaps recommend others digging into those. Good option for when in Chicago.

I ordered the crispy kale salad and it was great, I was definitely trying my hardest to be healthy but I couldn’t resist and ordered the caramel pie and wow. That’s all I gotta say, it was honestly not what I expected but wow was it good. Will definitely go back whenever we’re back in Chicago.

A colleague and I ate here for dinner during a recent business trip to Chicago. The atmosphere was fun and the service was lovely. They have a good wine selection and interesting options on the menu. We appreciated the availability of vegetarian options as well. I would recommend to a ground of friends or for business.

The breakfast tacos were flat out amazing. I got back on here to make a reservation for tomorrow, but I’m writing this review instead. Eggs were perfect, the roasted poblanos a great touch, and the salsa verde fantastic. This place makes me wish I lived here.

Lovely place and lovely breakfast. My wife and I stopped in here while visiting Chicago, purely by accident as we were hungry and it was almost right next door to our hotel. Glad we did though. My wife had the lemon pancakes, which tasted nice but were probably a little too soggy to be on our favourites list, not as fluffy as we hoped. Hash browns (a fave of mine) were great, as were the eggs, but the “crispy” bacon was more chewy than anything. Free coffee refills were more than welcome 🙏 and the blueberry smoothie hit the spot too. All in all, a decent breakfast but the price didn’t truly reflect the satisfaction. Interested to try dinner there though.

I've been here at least five times over the past few months because of its location, and the food is consistently good. The service is spotty though, the noise is sometimes overwhelming, and I wish they'd add to or change their vegetarian/fish offerings. There are several good salads that can be a meal (about $13-16), two expensive fish dishes, and a delicious cauliflower steak ($16 but I just ordered it tonight and took home half). You can also combine a couple of vegetarian appetizers or a yummy soup. Desserts have been disappointing - the caramel pie was just blekh and the chocolate-peanut butter bites taste like they skipped the vanilla.

Turns out it is all three. Had drinks and dinner at Beatrix during a work event. The restaurant, bar and bakery are all collocated within the same location. The bar/bakery area has a longe area which made for a good happy hour. After a few drinks we moved to the dinning room for dinner. The menu is very eclectic and does not have a real theme. It was overpriced for the portions that were presented. The meal was ok, nothing great. Many in our party were still hungry after our meals. Would recommend Beatrix for drinks but would go elsewhere for dinner. Did not have a chance to try the baked goods but they looked good.

LOVE this place!!! The service is super attentive and quick, the atmosphere calm and stylish, the coffee excellent, the choice for brunch outstanding. We tried the lemon pancakes (fluffy and moist, a dream), the egg white omelette (with a tomato salad on top, delicious) and the quinoa cake with poached eggs (how could I ever love without it?). THANK YOU, this brunch made our day!

We had a late night dinner here and loved the food and the service. The enchiladas, roast chicken, straight A salad and chicken bebe were all fresh and delicious. Save room for dessert, there are lots of yummy options!

My wife and I love coming to this excellent restaurant located at the Northwestern Memorial Hospital building facing St. Clair Street in Chicago. We love stopping by after a doctor’s appointment. It is a Lettuce Entertainment Restaurant offering a pleasant place to enjoy lunch or dinner. Since it is usually quite busy at noon or during dinner hours, we usually utilize Open Table to reserve a window table in the winter or an outside table in the warmer months. Today we enjoyed a delicious supernatural salad and a prime burger with French fries served to us by a friendly and efficient waitress by the name of Jessica. We love the ambience, music and fare at the Beatrix. The General Manager, Jordan, stoped by for a friendly conversation and suggested the names of a Mexican and Italian restaurant he loves himself in the Gold Coast area. Jim from Chicago

Had a lovely brunch here. Very varied menu and lovely staff. They didn’t rush us out. Really good food

There are many great places in chicago but Beatrix is by far my favorite for breakfast. Cozy decor, Excellent food, Wonderful service! My 20 months son ate so much I had to stop him. We even came back the second time before we leave for the airport. Definitely recommended!

Great food and great service! Spotlessly clean. So good we went every day of our stay in Chicago. Breakfast was piping hot.

We enjoyed our breakfasts at Beatrix. They were perfectly prepared, served hot and promptly. Portions are generous. And the restaurant is very attractive and comfortable. We were happy diners.

There isn’t too many places that you can go and get a different meal and feel like your at a different restaurant but this place does that. Their “supernatural” salad is just that. God Almighty provides the ingredients and this place puts them together with the lightest of dressing that simply highlights the flavors. I say this honestly, it is one of thee best if not THEE best salad I’ve ever put in my mouth. This place is busy and it’s no wonder why. The food speaks for itself. Our waiter Devin was very polite and knowledgeable. I must say that our experience at this location was better than the other location at Clark (referring you personal) but the food is good either way.

Delicious food, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The Migas Egg Scramble was fantastic as were the Lemon Pancakes with ricotta. Will return.

A Beatriz (me) visited the highly rated Beatrix in Chicago and, honestly, I didn't see anything extraordinary in this restaurant that has its own market attached. Regular food, atmosphere without any glamor, service on the border between coldness and efficiency… It wasn't worth the expectation...

I went for breakfast on a Friday morning. I sat at the bar and was waited on immediately. Excellent coffee was poured and I ordered French toast with bacon and a take out order of avocado toast, scrambled eggs and bacon. My meal was excellent, and my coffee cup was kept full. My wife’s avocado toast was excellent also, as was her decaf. This restaurant is pricey but has great food and service.

Great breakfast menu with large seating are, has private dining. Really enjoyed the avocado eggs Benedict

This fab place was around the corner from our hotel and we decided to go for breakfast. Such a lovely place and lovely helpful friendly staff. The food is great and reasonably priced. Mum and I enjoyed it so much we returned. Such a shame there isn’t one in New Orleans too. Definately recommended and not to be missed.

We ate at Beatrix three times during our stay across the street at the Hyatt Centric - twice for breakfast and once for dinner. Everything we had was excellent and the service was great! Our group would recommend the Avacado Toast and the Chicken Tinga for breakfast, and be sure not to skip the fresh juice. For dinner we enjoyed a delicious assortment of appetizers and fresh juice cocktails, all of which were excellent.

Lunch at Beatrix was one of our favourite meals during a recent trip to Chicago. The restaurant on the Northwestern Hospital campus is extremely busy at lunchtime but service was quick and friendly and the food was delicious. Much of the menu is gluten free or can be modified to be gluten free. Their salads were definitely meal size and delicious. The side of fries that we shared were delicious and came with some fried hot peppers which was yummy. They have a great assortment of regular and gluten free baked goods at their coffee bar. There is a “Beatrix Market” adjacent to the restaurant with impressive salad and soup bars and baked goods for those who want food to go.

I enjoyed an evening meal here whilst visiting Chicago with my sister. I ordered from the specials and my sister had a burger both were very tasty.

A really inviting space. The breakfast items are creative and delicious. Oatmeal, Eggs Your Way and egg white omelet were great. They even offer oat milk for the chai latte and coffee. Service was good.

Atmosphere seemed nice on a rainy morning. Unfortunately, the breakfast was awful. Coffee had black flecks in it (from bottom of burnt pot). Waitress comped us, but already not a great way to start. Ordered eggs, toast and hash browns and chose candied bacon as my protein. Only had one choice of bread. The bacon was inedible (tasted like old grease). I could not eat the bacon. My husband ordered French Toast. Two very high, thick pieces of bread. Not appealing looking and not tasty.

Found this place by accident. Could not make up my mind as such an interesting menu. The waiter was very helpful and I chose the Quinoa mushroom burger and it was delicious. Very good size with french fries. Could not even look at dessert menu. Would definitely recommend this place as very good value with helpful staff and lovely restaurant. Only had one problem the girl at the front desk said I would have a 30 minute wait but then other girl came back and sat me immediately.

Went here with friends while visiting Chicago. Very popular so make reservations in advance if possible. Food was good but not amazing.

I went for Brunch and everything was great! Great menu, great service and great ambience! A great recommendation!

Amazing breakfast kept us going the whole day! We ate here two times for breakfast and both days my husband and I were full until dinner time. Not a bad full either. The food was delicious! I had avocado toast with a side of eggs and he had an egg sandwich one day and an omelette the other day. The immunity booster shot is awesome too! Service was spot on and atmosphere was great. Highly recommend for breakfast!!

This spot combines a modestly priced restaurant, coffee shop, self serve restaurant, deli inside one of the Northwestern Hospital buildings on St Clair. Entrances are from the street or within the hospital. The food offerings are extensive and tasty and one can enjoy everything from sit down restaurant service to a vast array of take out/fast food offers.

I came here on a Wednesday night for a business dinner. The wait was absurdly long even though there were several empty tables. We sat at the "bar," and had a drink while we waited. After we finished our drinks, we asked if we could transfer our bill to the table and were told "we don't do that here." We sat down to eat dinner and it took almost an hour to get our food. The food was very good to be sure. The wait and service was terrible. Do not waste your time or money here.

We went to Beatrix for breakfast at the St Clair St location. The menu has a great mix of traditional and healthy oriented selections. The food is outstanding. The atmosphere is modern and the service was friendly and efficient.

We ate dinner here twice while staying at the Hyatt across the street. We had looked for ratings on tripadvisor and found this place cose by. The food and service were wonderful. My wife and I had a wonderful time here. I highly recommend this place.

Had a burger for $13.95 - arrived very GREASY as can be, very unappealing grey in color, a super thin patty that was raw in the middle - UGH - and with those BUTT end tomatoes that you get at cheap fast food places, but to put this on a $13.95 burger only added insult to what was an Awful burger. Fires arrived cold, too. All in all, nothing at all to recommend here!

We had a very nice dinner here. We were staying across the street and wandered in because it was really cold. The service was good and the food was innovative and very tasty. The prices were reasonable I would definitely recommend Beatrix.

Friendly staff great service and flavorful food. Nice quiet atmosphere with a cozy feel. Perfect spot for cocktails and appetizers.

Great place for breakfast. We were expecting to sit outside but they were seating indoors. Loved the atmosphere and the lemon pancakes were delicious.

Great vibey casual restaurant. Yummy chicken Quesidillas, brussel sprouts, carrot juice and delicious Chablis. Service okay felt slightly reluctant.

The place is just next to Northwest Medical Center, not necessarily a good place for a good meal. The dishes are surprisingly good, at least as good as the other location on Clark. Ordered Ahi Tuna bowl and the Avocado Toast. Both are good, the same with the pancakes. The server was friendly. However very much annoyed by having to wait at the entry for 20 minutes.

Always a fun place to eat, the cheeseburger was juicy and tasty. Well worth a visit. Just a short walk from Northwestern Medical Center.

We stopped for brunch while shopping the mag mile and were able to make online reservations one hour ahead. It was quite busy so that was helpful. We had steak and eggs, green Chile breakfast enchiladas and a tuna poke bowl with some fresh squeezed Valencia orange juice and a mimosa. The food was great but not cheap. Good place just away from Michigan Ave.

Stopped for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. The service was good and the food was great. A great experience.

So good, we ate here twice on our stay. The staff was very customer-oriented and even the manager came by to make sure our experience was top-notch. For dinner we ordered the brussels sprouts for appetizer and Chicken Bebe for the entree. Dessert was a chocolate cake that was made in heaven. We returned for brunch the next morning and I would travel to Chicago just to eat their brown sugar bacon! Once again the meal was stellar and such a reasonable price in that neighborhood. I would definitely return and bring my friends!

First time here. The wife and I met friends. We were greeted and seated on time, and our server was timely and friendly. I’ll say that every else in our party seemed to enjoy their meals. Not so for me. I ordered their Prime Burger, which, when asked how I wanted it, replied medium. It came somewhere between medium rare and medium raw. And, it was flavorless. *Flavorless*. I had a drink before the meal was served, then switched to iced tea. I asked for sweetener, and was cheerfully told “sure!”. I asked twice more on following occasions, yet never received the sweetener. This might all seem moderately trivial, but one goes to a restaurant to, well, eat. More telling than this review is the fact that the restaurant, unlike most, does not post responses or comments to these reviews. One can deduce they simply don’t care.

This is a great choice for a healthy Breakfast. Good and friendly service and nice menu. Try the quinoa with pochend eggs! Nice fresh juices.

Amazing lemon pancakes, quinoa eggs, and chilaquile bar!!! The food here is amazing! From the kitchen staff to the hostess. I was with 5 others getting breakfast here and I was so impressed by the Lemon Pancakes that I ordered more to go. The chef (short guy with glasses) came to our table since we requested to say thank u, waitress was very attentive, very nice staff, only thing mimosas need to be a bit stronger.

Everything on the table was absolutely delicious. Certainly not cheap, but well worth the splurge. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu, but the Baked French Toast was delicious. Even my 5-year old who only eats 3 things in life was happy with the food he had. I'd happily come back for another helping when I am back in Chicago.

Simple eggs and chicken sausage. Perfect breakfast that I was looking for. You think scrambled eggs is easy huh? Most breakfasts I’ve had at these expensive hotels are over cooked and tastes like packet mix. Beatrix did a great job. Honest good food with a smile, even if you have to wait a little.

The waitress was excellent, and the food was delicious!! If you like mushrooms, I highly recommend the Mushroom Teriyaki Rice Bowl!!

Wonderful restaruant chain either a market place so you can choose what you want (loads do salads quinoa etc fruit - it was brilliant and food was fresh and healthy

High quality with many healthier options. Great selection of bars, panned candies and other treats to take with your to-go order. Sometimes out of what you went for, but kind of to be expected in a place like this where they turn through 3 different presentations per day.

Quiet restaurant with efficient and friendly service, well balanced good food.portions of the main dishes sufficient. To be.in Chicago adequate prices. Piacevole sorpresa!

The restaurant is open seven days a week and offers a brunch menu on Saturday and Sunday which is actually quite good. We ordered the eggs anyway you like; the green chicken enchiladas were outstanding and truly a highlight, better than the ones I have had in Mexico. You can also eat at the bar and simply have a cup of coffee with pastries. Their pastries are actually quite good.

A new friend suggested Beatrix for breakfast or lunch. I had never been here but when googling it the restaurant & food seemed very nice. I had lunch and the food and service were great!!! The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch & dinner. There is also a coffee bar with specialty coffees. Also available was outside dining and outside coffee bar. I would most definitely return!!

Hidden at the corner of Northwestern Hospital Professional Building the restaurant has both dine in and a store to get take away. Dine in service was quite good (eat inside or out). Breakfast and lunch menu (not sure about dinner but probably yes). Everything looked good but get the crudités and prime burger. No kidding! The green goddess dressing with the veggies was outstanding and the server and I invented a new item when I put the dressing on my perfectly cooked burger. Delish. Also the bun was tasty and held its shape through (I hate a soggy bun). I’ll be back!

According to city regulations, in late November all restaurants could only attend outdoor tables. This was one of the few where inside tables were available; my husband and I could confirm that this was according to regulations, since the two occasions we had breakfast, we saw a cop´s table. Maybe the privilege comes from the fact that the restaurant is also a store, or market, as they state it. For breakfast, we had greek yoghurt with berries, fried eggs, avocado toast, and the second time, waffles and omelette. We repeated the delicious crispy honey glazed bacon. The parfait had too much yogurt or too little berries; the second time we order one to share. The only thing I didn´t enjoye was the avocado toast. The avocado had too much lemon (we Mexicans know that lemon prevents avocado to oxide, but it spoils the flavor) and the bread was soft, instead of toasted.

Service was not great and the food was just average. I had poached eggs and they were seriously overcooked.

We celebrated my daughter's 21st birthday with a Saturday brunch. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. Our server was awesome. We had a party of 8 or 9 and everyone had a delicious meal.

Last spring we tried lunch cafeteria style on the “market” side and were very pleased. This visit we fled the high priced buffet at our hotel and walked a block to Beatrix for Sunday morning breakfast. If you follow suit, get there when they open at 8:00 like we did or reserve a table. They get busy fast. Service was prompt, friendly, and efficient throughout. We chose from the many healthy options delicious oatmeal, as well as eggs, hash browns, chicken sausage, and whole grain toast. We paid half the price of the hotel meal and felt better in tummy and pocketbook.

At a friend’s recommendation we reserved a table for breakfast. I couldn’t decide between the Cauliflower Grits and the Lemon Pancakes, so I had both. My friend’s Shakshouka and my dishes were delicious. I’m happy I ordered both so I had savory and sweet to enjoy. I didn’t finish it all because the portions were generous, but I was pleasantly stuffed. Service was attentive and helpful. To Go is available for coffee and pastries, I’d definitely go for a quick bite or sit-down again.

We had lunch here and had really good, flavorful food and great service. I highly recommend the vegan tortilla soup and the wild mushroom teriyaki bowl - they were both full of delicious flavors and great plant based options!

Second visit to this restaurant inside northwestern hospital in Chicago. The food is so fresh and good if it was near where I lived I would spend to much time eating there. Love Love Love it.

We stopped in for a quick breakfast. Coffee is great and the 10 grain oatmeal was delicious. Next time we are in the area, forget the icky free hotel breakfasts, we are coming here!

Something for everyone - eggs dishes, vegan options, pancakes or waffle, hot cereals, and a variety of breakfast meats. We always order the Light and Fluffy Lemon Pancakes to share amongst the table like a dessert. They are delightful! The chicken sausage is fresh, with just the right amount of seasoning. There is also a coffee/juice bar just inside the entrance with bakery items.

We didn't have this booked or recommended to us, we just purely went on google reviews and glad we did. The most amazing breakfast I had in Chicago. Everything was perfect. Looks like it does get busy, so may be worth a reservation just in case.

We had a small wedding party in a side room. The service was excellent. The food and beverages were as promised. Everything went well. It was great. The alcoholic beverages were not heavy with booze, but that it was okay, it was early afternoon.

We actually dined at the Fulton location. We found out they had a gluten-free menu, and that worked for my wife. We both enjoyed the prime burger, we actually thought it was outstanding. Delicious fries to go along with that. The vegan tortilla soup at $10 is a bit pricey, but pretty good. Didn’t love the restaurants surcharge. Plus 9 dollars to park on the street.

We came to Beatrix on the recommendation of a local and we were SO glad we did! Service was attentive but not rushed. Ambiance, cozy and comfortable. Menu offered many delicious sounding dishes; we had a hard time choosing. I went with the Thai Fish and chips (knowledgeable server helped to make the decision) - thai spiced baked sea bass and sweet potato fries - great twist on an typically greasy dish.. this was not greasy at all!! My dinner companion went with his usual cheeseburger and fries (he is 11 after all and has a very limited palette by his own choice) and enjoyed it very much! His only complaint was a slightly over toasted corner on the bun.. We shared the tall, dark chocolate cake for dessert! Order extra whipped cream! Great spot - only slightly off the beaten Michigan Avenue path, SO worth the walk of one short block!

I tried the beef stroganoff pasta (pictured) and it was terrific! While the whipped feta wasn’t as amazing as what we get from Lettuce Entertain You in Austin, the seed crackers at this location were dreamy. We would love to have the recipe. Great experience - the place was busy and the staff was friendly.

The food here is good but not amazing. Service can be mixed - the staff are pleasant and make an effort but also forget orders and have to be reminded.

This Restaurant is inside Northwestern Hospital in Chicago! Very convenient to hospital visitors! My wife and I had the Salmon Bowl and their version of spicy French fries! The salmon was dry and the bed of garnishes were tasteless!! The spicy French fries also fell into this category! For dessert we had a coconut cookie tipped with strawberries and cream! It tasted like ready whip! Premier location and subpar expensive food! One wonders if the owners ever stop by to eat their own food!

This place was amazing. We went for brunch on a Sunday and had Chicken Tinga (delicious). They have a beautiful pastry/cake display area. I saw a few gluten free goodies, definitely more options than most places. If you like sweets, you will be delighted to choose your treat.

Went here after my morning workout with my husband and teen daughter. We picked Beatrix simply because it’s across from our hotel. What a happy coincidence! My husband almost never says he loves his food, but he loved it so much he made me taste it (brisket and egg sandwich, by the way). And he had the yogurt which was phenomenal! My daughter got the lightest soufflé like lemon pancakes with a lemon syrup! She ate it all!! I got the egg white omelette with turkey bacon since I didn’t want to waste my workout and it was perfectly delicious. To top it all off, the waitress kept our coffee cups full the entire time!

Went this past Sunday for brunch with a group of 5. First time at this location-have gone to Clark St. location a few times-and I’d have to say it was a more enjoyable experience here! It was busy but not overly crowded. Our server was friendly, polite and attentive. We were able to book a 9:30 A.M. reservation with no issues. Food was fresh, flavorful and the portion sizes were decent! Our group ordered the waffles, lemon pancakes, enchiladas and we took home slices of their insanely delicious caramel pie. Everything was tasty!

I bought my breakfast here today and I got egg whites and chicken gluten sausage and Oatmeal. I’m very disappointed about the oatmeal it was like a soup ! It’s Terrible and to think it’s pricey here ! What a rip off if they just add water to fill in the container ?

Wow, loved it here, we went for breakfast on our last morning in Chicago and this place did not disappoint. The food was amazing, really excellent. Great choices, healthy food that makes you feel good. Would definitely recommend.

My wife and I stopped in on a Sunday morning for breakfast. Only had a short wait. Menu is full of unique and healthy choices. I didn't go healthy but I did go great food. Had lemon pancakes. They were wonderful. Also had brown sugar bacon and it was terrific as well. Very impressed with the food. Kind of loud and a lot of people walking around but I will definitely be back.

Truly enjoyed having brunch outside in Streeterville. Location is quiet. Weather was perfect! Food was very good. I had a breakfast sandwich on ciabatta with pot roast, egg, and cheese. So good! Also enjoyed a side of heirloom tomato and avocado. Drinks were good--a bloody and a mango fizz. Food was interesting and all fresh. Service was solid but a bit slow--but no worries, it was Saturday morning and we were on vacation!

Delicious and substitutes allowed! Enjoyed this gem in Chicago. Great service and ambiance plus all day dining and a market with “to go” items. Lovely all around!

Beatrix Fulton Market - 05/26/2021 I arrived at 1.35pm with my partner for a lunch . No booking and we have been offered a 20/30 mins waiting times. Aprox 5 people were ahead of us. WHAT is a shame is that 5 tables outside + 10-ish tables inside were ready to use (all prepared: with cutlery , glasses , napkins etc.. ) ... such a bad service and a lack of efficient managent !!! .... and , watching the menu, we saw that 5% is added to the bill as ‘ covid surcharge’ !!! No way to be treated as such. Better to give our money to someone else . We didn’t wait !

This was a very good choice for dinner. The service and food were both very good and the prices reasonable. The atmosphere was kind of dark and a bit noisy, but we still enjoyed ourselves. We had a couple well made cocktails followed by the vegan tortilla soup. The soup was well flavored with a nice hint of spice. We also had a chopped salad which was very good and large enough to share. The entree was the real standout. We both have the chicken bebe, which I have never heard of. It was a butterflied chicken breast coated in parmigiana cheese in a white wine butter lemon sauce served with roast asparagus. It was excellent. The chicken was moist and tender, the asparagus was perfectly cooked and the sauce was really delicious. I wanted to lick the plate. I would return just to eat this entree again. The service was friendly and good. Overall a very good experience with a truly outstanding entree.

We had breakfast here and were happy to have a nice place to sit down with good service. Interesting menu. Had the lemon pancakes but with regular maple syrup, and highly recommend that combination. They were light and perfectly cooked. Good size servings. My husband had eggs and was happy with his meal. A good start to the day. Service was very attentive.

Just had breakfast at Beatrix and it was awesome! Front of house was welcoming and efficient. No wait at all. The space is comfortable, informal and inviting. Service was first rate. Knowledgable, helpful, professional, on-point and unobtrusive. The Quinoa cakes with Poached eggs and basil and tomato sauce were fantastic! Good portion size; not huge and not small. The eggs were cooked to perfection and were complimented by the rich and tangy basil and tomato sauce. The quinoa cakes were a first for me and were absolutely wonderful. Filling but not heavy, earthy and nutty in flavor with a little chew. If you are looking for aa great place for breakfast, give Beatrix a try. I would be amazed if you were disappointed!

Ok - we have walked past this spot many, many times & for whatever reason never chose to go here for any meal - they serve breakfast, brunch, lunch & dinner. Tonight that changed. We picked this as our dinner spot and OMG we are so glad we did. In summary: great drinks, amazing food, and good service. We were delighted to see an extensive number of gins for our Martini choices and the menu options just sounded so fresh, new and delicious. They were just that. We shared a “Straight A salad” and a Roasted Beet appetizer - both of which were so good. We then had Wagyu Pot Roast and a Short Rib entree. The meat of both were so tender, juicy and just delicious - they seemed to melt in your mouth and they didn’t require a knife to cut, just pulled apart with a fork. This will clearly be a repeat choice for us because the food is just so good. Who knows, we might go there for breakfast/ brunch tomorrow morning! You need to go here - really - go here!

Great food. Excellent service and everything was super delicious. Nice atmosphere and lovely and quiet. We all had pasta or fish.

This is a totally hidden gem! Food was amazing, has this clean, healthy and nutritional taste. I had the raviolis, so delicious! The sauce with green beans was very light. My boyfriend had the Turkey Meatloaf and was very satisfied with the flavor. We are so glad we find this place!

Chanced upon this restaurant via google map and wasn’t disappointed. It has a nice relaxed ambiance and the Food wasn’t Celt presented and tasted great. Love it!

Nice place to eat. Extensive menu for breakfast/brunch. The orange juice is fantastic. I had two eggs over easy with brown sugar bacon, hash browns, and wheat toast. The bacon was not warm. The server was pleasant but had too many tables to take care of. Food very slow coming to the table.

Good good. We had breakfast. It was excellence. We will go again. Pricing is a Little Bit High, but thats the only negative

We had reserved a table for 10:00 (which made sense at that time) and were 10 minutes early. We had to wait because our reservation was only valid from 10:00. Because of the pleasant temperatures, we decided to sit outside. It wasn't too loud and it was pleasant to sit. However, our breakfast took more than 45 minutes, which prompted the very friendly waiter to not charge us for a second drink and we got a piece of walnut cake (very tasty) for free on top. The food was fresh and tasty and the price was reasonable, as is typical for America.

A wonderful selection of salads and healthy food items. We also opted for the Brussels sprout appetizer that was tasty. Service was timely and friendly. A full bar was a plus. I

The food was delicious. Service was great. I had the STRAIGHT "A" SALAD with steak, loaded guacamole and cauliflower. Highly recommend this restaurant if you’re ever i

Bummer to have to be in hospital with your tribe- Beatrix is warm, friendly, full on great foods, take out cookies, monster YUM to fuel your tank while doing rounds or hospital duty ( like us) with the peeps.

I tried the lemon pancakes, brown sugar bacon with coffee. The blue boost juice was a recommendation by the staff and it was delicious! The basil gave a refreshing twist to the taste of the blueberries and grapes.

Oh my God the food was amazing. Everything I had at this restaurant was out of this world. Or food was served family style. We had Caesar salad, Kung pap brussels sprouts, chicken meatballs, chicken bebe , cavatelli with slow roasted vegetables and skirt steak chimichurri. It was all fabulous but I think that skirt steak chimichurri might be one of the best things I’ve ever eaten in my life. Wait staff was great in the bar well stocked. If I could give it 10 stars I would.

We had an awesome table outside, good coffee, and a delicious brunch! The egg white omelette was terrific and my husband’s Chimichurri Steak and Eggs was a great choice. I wanted everything on the menu and had to restrain myself from the Pecan Praline French Toast!

My husband had what he claimed was the best breakfast sandwich he has ever had. Braised pot roast and egg - he licked the plate and would not give me a bite. I had the oatmeal which was nutritious and much better when they brought more cranberries and brown sugar. Only downside was dirty celery in the bloody Mary. It was replaced quickly.

As you can see I have been here before for both brunch and lunch. I returned here for brunch at around 11am to redeem my $25 credit, which I received from the restaurant manager from a prior visit. My party of three were seated at our table located near the kitchen entrance. I started with my margarita for $12 followed by my blue mimosa for $8.95. I also enjoyed my poke bowl for $16.95. I like the casual nature of this place. My total bill less gratuities was $98 including my $25 credit. Jon C. took care of our table needs in an effective manner. I will continue to return to this location or one of their other locations for brunch or lunch. And of course I always enjoy receiving more Lettuce Eats points for my future redemption.

Nice salads, decent wine during happy hour. Nice place for a meal. The desserts all looked terrific though I was able to resist.

Our breakfast was really delicious. We had oatmeal and a chicken egg dish. Both had a great quality. Our server was really frienldly and the service was great. I‘d definitely recommend having breakfast here!

I went several times during my holiday in Chicago, firstly because it was on the side of my hotel and also because the food is delicious. I had lunch and had breakfast, everything was always very capricious and tasty, I recommend!

the client I was visiting asked me to join him here for breakfast. We had an 8:30 reservation and it was a full house. Coffee was an excellent full-bodied.I had the egg sandwich which was also healthy. Also, the lemon pancakes were fantastic and I was glad to have tasted them. Service was good without being invasive. Location is easy to get to on the magnificent mile and close to many hotels. The high ceilings make it a bit noisy but otherwise a great spot.

After a long day of touring the Navy Pier and site-seeing on the Magnificent Mile, our family of three (mom, dad, teenage daughter) got a table at Beatrix's for Sunday dinner based on the excellent online reviews. Once again, the reviews did not lead us astray and our experience from beginning to end was excellent. Our server was super-friendly and attentive throughout our entire meal, and she kept our water glasses topped up and made sure we were well taken care of. We started with drinks, a tasty mango orange pineapple nectar for our daughter, the espresso old fashioned for me, and sangria for my wife. Great tastes all around! We ordered the kung pao Brussels sprouts to start, and they were hit, even with our picky daughter. The sweet sauce offset the savory crunchiness of the sprouts. We had done a food tour earlier that day and we were still pretty full, so my wife and I opted for the cauliflower salad, hers with salmon and mine with chicken. It was excellent, a nice blend of veggies and crunchy bits in a light vinaigrette dressing that was just enough but not too much. Our daughter ordered the Caesar salad and *loved* it--one of the best she has had, which is saying something given how often she orders that particular salad. For dessert, the three of us split the lime chiffon pie and the caramel pie. Wow! The pie, which is what I wanted, was amazing, with a good dollop of fluffy whipped cream to offset the dense sweetness of the pie. I only had a small taste of the lime pie, but it was really good--very similar to a lemon chiffon pie.

While in Chicago for the holiday we wanted to find a great place for breakfast that had high quality everything: from food, to espresso, to baked goods. We were pleased to find Beatrix. The entire experience was positive and we were treated with kindness. I would like to especially thank Jon C. He was clearly very busy but he was kind, funny, and offered some great recommendations for a couple of newbies! Great experience overall and thanks so much to Jon C. If you have high expectations for breakfast, do not like to have hum-drum execution on breakfast staples, visit Beatrix! They will leave you satiated and really happy you tried them out! By the way, don’t forget to visit their bakery counter before being seated to choose a little something sweet to nosh on while you wait for your food.

We were a little nervous if we could find something for our 18 year old daughter who gets intimidated by too sophisticated or unfamiliar food. But she loved everything she tried. We had a shrimp ceviche, fish taco, salmon dish, and white fish dish. They are all so excellent. All of the vegetables sides were so flavorful and fresh. We will definitely come back when we visit Chicago next time. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This place was on my list of breakfast/brunch spots in Chicago, and once our hotel recommended it too we made sure to stop by. It was by far our favorite breakfast in the MagMile area!! The menu is well thought out, there are options for everyone. The portions are good, normal sized, you can tell the ingredients used are good quality and just everything we had was delicious! Service was great too, our server was very friendly and full of great and honest suggestions. We will be back every time we’re back in Chicago!

A friend who is a gourmand and whose father was a well-respected food critic says this place punches “way above its weight.” He was delighted with it. We were all very happy with the appetizers (cornbread and fried cauliflower), the enchiladas, whitefish, and curry. Cocktails, including a spicy margarita, were delicious. Ginger-hibiscus kombuchas is the best kombucha I’ve ever had. Pumpkin chiffon and pecan pie was outstanding, especially paired with the chocolate cake (4 of us shared 2 desserts). Friendly, knowledgeable, efficient server. A relaxing and pleasant atmosphere.

The 6 of us went for a work dinner before spa at the Peninsula a few blocks away and thoroughly enjoyed the food, service and ambiance. We shared several delicious appetizers (highly recommend the fries, the burrata, Brussels and the tuna crudo) and also passed around 5 entrees so we were able to taste many different dishes, including the Wagyu pot roast filet mignon, Chilean sea bass, roasted cauliflower salad, szechuan chicken and the ravioli. All were creative and varied. Service was attentive and friendly. We’ll definitely be back!

Got to the hospital early before my doctor appointment and was hungry. Went to the Beatrix and got the Mac & Cheese which was tasty. They charge by weight, so don’t go all out.

Unique little breakfast place by northwestern hospital. Interesting breakfast items. I stuck with the eggs and chicken sausage. Coffee had a little odd taste to me—sweet maybe?? Still good though.

Fresh and great quality breakfast options, fabulous coffee and bloody Mary's. So delicious we went two days running.

Good choice of menu, but my basic dish of eggs easy over was disappointing. They were very greasy, and salty.

Two of us visited for brunch on Sunday. We did not have reservations and did not want to wait, so we sat at the bar. (Will make reservations next time.) Service was friendly, knowledgable and professional. We both had coffee that was hot and very good. One of our entrees was the lemon pancakes. The cakes were very fluffy and light. The lemon syrup and candied lemon were a nice touch. Our other entree was the cauliflower grits. The dish was very tasty and unique. The muffin we took to go was excellent too. We would like to try this restaurant for lunch or dinner (and of course return for breakfast) on our next visit to Chicago.

Excellent food in a fun gathering place atmosphere. The enchiladas were fantastic, great flavor and not too heavy! I highly recommend the straight A salad as well. The blue boost was the best fruit juice I have ever had, not too sweet with a combination of blueberry and basil that really goes well together. The coffee bar and bakery makes waiting for a table comfortable and relaxing.

Followed Trip Advisor to Beatrix. Wife loves steak with chimichuri sauce. Small kitchen glitch with my burger, but everything was corrected and handled with style by our waitress and the manager. An excellent restaurant with a menu that can satisfy diners with many different food restrictions. I highly recommend to all.

Excellent place – we came here early for breakfast and were not disappointed. Service was fast and friendly enough. The interior design is well done and very appealing. Food was delicious: I really enjoyed my burrito. It is a popular place, so you might want to reserve ahead.

Nice place to have a nice conversation, very good coffee, and juice. My personal favourite dish are the Belgian waffles, delicately done small with strawberries...good choice. They offer great diversity of breakfast favourites, for example cauliflower grits!!! Service is good and friendly

Perfect coffee, food and great service. Felt like home, we went for breakfast and enjoyed coffee not milkshakes. Staff very friendly and helpful

Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! Lemon pancakes, chilaquiles, and ham and cheese croissant with side of fruit. Fresh squeezed orange juice. Large portions!

We are vegetarian and had the quinoa and mushroom burger with a seracha aioli sauce. It was so good!! Also has the blueberry Basil crush juice and it was delish.

Beatrix had good reviews and it was very close to our hotel. We ended up going for dinner and then again for breakfast. The food was good, not great, and the prices were reasonable. We did not have reservations either time, but we were seated after a short wait, but we were lucky. People coming in after us were told the wait would be an hour. They do take reservations and I would recommend making one. The waitstaff was very good, but we really went here due to convenience. With all the options in Chicago, I would not go out of my way to dine here.

Great salads and poke bowls Spoiled by excessively loud and inappropriate music During a relaxing lunch, one doesn't wish to have music blasting, so you can hardly talk

Fabulous entree selection Classy decor Attentive Waite stafff Eggs cooked to perfection Lunch entrees very creative

Great selection of super fresh healthy food. Veggies, meats, self serve , but clean fast and efficient. Nice location

Visited over labour day, from Canada, the food is really good so is the atmosphere. Had a strawberry watermelon and blackberry mimosas, wonderful. The servers are nice and they have a great selection of food and coffee is good too.

This is connected to The Galter Pavillion at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in the loop. It’s a favorite for hospital staff and patient’s families so at prime times it can be tough to get a table. They have sidewalk tables starting at lunch weather permitting. We’ve had breakfast and lunch here. Very healthy options for both. All the ingredients are fresh and everything is made to order. Reasonably priced and very nice atmosphere. Staff is always friendly and very attentive. We’ve been here many times and have never been disappointed.

My parents and I enjoyed our Sunday dinner at Beatrix. There were lots of vegetarian and healthy options but mostly upscale “meat and potato”. We enjoyed the pot roast and short ribs. The caramel pie is much too sweet.

The food is very good and a lot of healthy choices on the menu. IF IT WASN'T for the 3% Restaurant surcharge on the bill it would've been 5 stars. Raise your price if you need to but don't make the patrons feel like they need to feel sorry for you. Enough already.

Though not cheap for the size and quality, it is a pretty good restaurant in terms of items served. There is something for everyone. Typical glitzy LEY restaurant, friendly service, somewhat overpriced, but for some reason you always feel like you got a good meal. The coffee smoked salmon was very good as were the chicken meatball appetizers Humus was ok but just humus. As to the desert, by all means save room for the caramel pie. Think of the best smoothest flan that you ever had. Take it up a couple of notches in decadence and you have this desert. The cookie crust was unbelievable. It does close a little early (9:00 PM) and can be a bit loud.

We stopped here for brunch and have to say it was lovely. The lemon pancakes were so light and fluffy, the fresh coffee and orange juice delicious. Would definitely go back.

After a long day of sightseeing we were ready to relax and enjoy a good meal. This restaurant was close to our hotel and, based on the reviews, we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. All three diners in our party enjoyed our respective selections. My burger and fries was perfect, short ribs were delicious and chicken enchiladas also got a thumbs up. Our server was attentive and friendly. It was early in the evening and so it was not super busy yet. It was the perfect place to wind up our long weekend in Chicago. I would definitely come back again!

We met our friends here for brunch. The food is delicious and fresh. They have a large menu so anyone can choose what they like. If nice weather you can sit outside which is great! I like this place very much.

Had a fantastic brunch persimmon and kale salad fabulous, had to save room for the best chocolate cake l’ve ever had and lve had plenty in63 years. A must visit

Well run establishment with friendly staff and quality food. I gave it a 4 because of the lemon pancakes I ordered. I am an average size woman and felt unsatisfied because of the blandness of the pancakes as well as the tiny portion size. They were $14. Small orange juice is $6. However, my husband got traditional eggs and bacon with toast for $13 and it was great.
Busy but worth the wait for a brunch
Sunday mornings tend to get busy / noisy and you could end up waiting 30-45 min. I was lucky and got a seat at the bar straight away. Tiffany was a great help and I enjoyed the enchiladas very much. Skip the orange juice, nothing special, maybe too much water?
