Let's start with the "Good" first * Falafel is pretty good. I would say one of the best in the city or close to being one. Definitely better than the falafels from the FIDI area competitors. * Beef Kabob Plate is pretty generous and definitely a good bang for the buck - comes with hummus, rice, four medium-sized kebabs, some veggies. * Ambience - Doesn't feel like a restaurant. More like a place you hang out with friends. Can be a good or a bad thing. Now, the not so good * The hummus - I hoped this will become my go-to place for good hummus. It is not. While the consistency is better than some of their competitors, the taste is just... strange. This is not how hummus should taste like. * Hummus ma’ Lehma - hummus topped with spiced beef - The beef is not good. Burned and tasteless. * Pitas - very thin pita, breaks easily. **They do provide more if asked** * Service - We were four people. Got two tables that were in different heights. Bottle of water was spilled all over the table by the waiter. They were running around and kind of all over the place. Not even clear who is a waiter or not. Might be because it's a new place and all that, but just feels very unprofessional * Ambience - Mentioned under the "good" section and here as well - Very noisy. Almost impossible to converse with friends when sitting for dinner. Probably better during off-peak hours. Not sure why it got such a high score. In some cases, I can be very picky, but in this case, I don't think I am. I won't be coming back, unfortunately.

Absolutely AMAZING food and service. Grilled Hanger Steak: Cooked and seasoned to perfection. Falafel: Perfect in every way. Batata Harra (fried potatoes): Freaking fantastic. Ask for them cooked extra crispy. Seasoned and cooked to perfection Pita bread: mediocre.

Such great food! Authentic Palestinian eats! Get one of everything! The figs & cream summer special was great! The hummus is tasty. The zaatar bread served piping hot. The summer corn was creative. Such great food!

We had a very delightful lunch here. The outdoor seating was pleasant. All of the dishes were very good. The asparagus special was a surprise.

It's Palestinian food the way your mom and Tette make it. Hummus was excellent... fattoosh salad was great. The tea while you wait for your food is a nice touch. The main dish was so good. Meat cooked well. Definitely worth going to! When we first ate here there was no listing on trip advisor yet so I am glad I came back to leave my thoughts. Try this place! You'll be glad you did.

The food is wonderful, I love everything about this place. I have eaten here twice and both times have left happy and full. The service is friendly (order at the counter and then sit down, they bring out your food). Delicious mint tea. On our most recent visit with my kids the winner spreads were the labneh and muhammara. The warm hummus ma'Lehma was so good. On prior visit a friend and I split the whole branzino which was so delicious we ate the whole thing plus much more. Really, everything is great. Don't miss it!

Our group went there on a Sunday night. Although the restaurant is small, the wait was reasonable. The food is home-style Middle Eastern - shared plates, warm pitas, aromatic dishes, sweet tea. Several young men waited on us - getting us water, bringing plates of food, checking on us. We remembered "Laith" who seemed to be doing five jobs at once. For once, I did not need a take-home container because we ate it all.

Excellent Palestinian food. Authentic. Fresh. Among the best Middle Eastern restaurants in San Francisco. Only bummer was no fresh bread for lunch was available. The potatoes were seasoned perfect. The lamb was tender. The kanons were flavorful. The fatoosh salad was on point with crunchy pita. The hummus with beef was served warm with plenty of pita. Excellent meal served quickly!

Delicious food and friendly staff. Great Mezze sampler. You must try Samir's Hand Kneaded Bread with the Mezze sampler and the halloumi cheese. Conveniently accessible to many muni lines. A SF Must try.

This place is just great--the hummus with beef, the pitas, the chicken kabobs, and the chickpea dish were all done perfectly - with a flourish. The place is friendly, family-style, and has a nice neighborhood feel to it that makes it special. You order way too much, and then wind up eating it all. At least we did.

No reservations but we put ourselves and the wait list and walked over and were seated right away. Order at the counter and they deliver to the table. Servings were quite large and we had a box of food to take home.

Fabulous Israeli/Mediterranean food. Plentiful portion sizes. Delicious chicken kebabs, pita, vegetables, hummos, and amazing hand kneaded bread. Hand kneaded bread had perfect spice blend.

Visited Beit Rima 2 days in a row while staying in San Francisco. We ordered the lamb shank one day (which was amazing!!) and hummus and falafel for brunch the day after. This is definitely a place to visit while in San Francisco!

A Gem! Food is beautifully presented and flavors are more complex than we expected for the price. For San Francisco this is an economical choice. We loved the Zahtar bread, beef kebab and menses plate - so much in fact that we ordered takeaway 2 days in a week while staying in our AirBnB. One piece of advice we received is to NOT order extra pita - good advice. Portions are generous. Will definitely return.

Can somebody please tell me where to find real authentic lebanese food that has not been californiatised. The food here was not bad, just not lebanese. It's not that difficult people, don't make lebanese authentic food into moroccan, Indian, or I don't know what version is being served out there. Just lebanese please.
Great ful!
I have walked by this place before, and today I was hungry but needed something not too heavy. So I stopped in and ordered the ful, and it was delicious. I am not a ful expert, but to me, it was perfectly seasoned and satisfying; I could have eaten it without the pita bread that came with it. I will definitely go back.
