Surprise Chefs Table experience. Guided by Sam!

By Stuart C |

After two years of travel delays and cancellations, managed to finally make it to BF for my belated 50th birthday celebration. What a great surprise to be shown to the chefs table, where we were expertly and joyfully guided thru the chefs menu by Sam. He helped us thru our selection, with tweaks and improvements to what already sounded a mouth watering menu. Fantastic to watch the team in the kitchen working diligently, producing one of my most memorable meals I have ever experienced. Highlights were the kogi tacos, fried chicken, and pickled cucumbers! Not forgetting the kimchi fried rice!! All this was amazing but Sam has to be thanked for making the evening so much more enjoyable. Looking forward to a return at the earliest opportunity “

Very good flavors!

By Vegas On A Dime |

We ate here in December 2022. We had considered coming for ages but could never get a reservation that worked for our schedule. We made it happen over Christmas. We used a 'My Vegas' reward that got us $16 off our bill. They also offered some lemonade drink as we are MGM Gold members. We over ordered but wanted to give the menu a try -- we had the Korean wings, uni dynamite rice, slippery shrimp, and short rib tacos. Everything was amazing! The flavors were unreal! No complaints whatsoever. The atmosphere is really cool and it was a lot of fun! The service was also top notch. Overall, a great experience with amazing food. We would absolutely come back!

Server ruined great evening

By Robert S |

Very unique restaurant. Menu is extremely complex. We told the waiter we had never been there; he only told us that food came out randomly. That’s it We didn’t know how to order We had never been to Asian restaurant where the protein came al cart. The menu did not indicate this nor did it provide suggested sides (The waiter did not inform of this, basically it was clear we were a nuisance to him) The food was very good We got the garlic chicken and the bbq pork strips Both were excellent (having some rice would have helped) When the food came out the waiter had the “balls” come by and say you do know there are no sides? Such bad service

Finally got to go and it was worth the wait!

By n S |

Atmosphere was very cool-there was a dj-and it's served family style which is perfect for us. The server felt like family. The food was a great mix of what we knew and what we wanted to try. Clean and inviting.

Hmmmm, to loud

By Pam B |

The music is so loud you can’t even talk to your friends. Food is rich and greasy. Service was good and pretty quick. Not recommended.

Skip it

By Ron L |

Horrible food, meat quality was terrible. Limited menu options and Extremely over priced. I've had better food off the back of a truck in LA for a 10th of the price.

Excellent vibe & food!!!

By Guillermo M |

This visit included our son who turned twenty one recently. By far this was his favorite spot and our favorite too. The food is fantastic every time we come and the value this restaurant provides is amazing. We love coming here because the atmosphere combined with the great food allows you to relax and enjoy the experience.

Delightful and Different

By Sjpooh |

We had a delightful and filling meal here. The waitress, Stacy was helpful in suggesting the amount of dishes to get and explain the dishes. We thoroughly enjoyed all : kimchi, Daikon; Los Vegas, Kalbi, Spicy Pork, Kimchi Fried Rice. My daughter has lived in South Korea, and compared these dishes favorably to her eating experiences. It’s a bit noisy, but still fun!

Fun restaurant

By Bunny M |

I just visited this restaurant with a group of friends. We really enjoyed the decor and thoughtful accents to this restaurant and the staff was very nice. The music was a bit too loud to carry on conversation without yelling though. The food was good, but very pricey for what it is, and the menu is family style with the thought that you order a few dishes and share. We really enjoyed the Veg Fried Rice and the Spicy Pork.

Delicious Food—No conversation Allowed

By Diane C |

The food was delicious and shareable. The only reason we wouldn’t go back is the very loud music. It makes it impossible to talk with your dining companions, which is part of a good dining experience. When I asked about the volume, I was told it was the “vibe”. I truly believe the “vibe” would still be captured by lowering the volume so diners can talk to each other. Unless you enjoy being on your celll phone instead, of course🤣 We had a glitch with a GF choice and it’s probably because the waiter couldn't comprehend what I was saying. Oops.

Had to leave because of the extremely loud music

By Sully W |

I am so deeply sad that when I finally had a chance to eat at this restaurant my group and I had to leave after we were seated for like 30 seconds. Best Friend is a restaurant that I have been wanting to forever and I absolutely love Roy Choi, but the music is just ridiculously loud. You literally cannot talk to anyone you are with let alone the staff. It’s unfortunately both a little ableist and ageist. Ultimately it was very disappointing because I didn’t even get a chance to eat the food ( which I know would have been fantastic) because we could not stay in the restaurant. Maybe I’ll come back with earplugs 🤷‍♀️🙄

So delicious

By Runawayblond |

Oh my god so delicious!!! The food here was so good I can’t even emphasize it enough. Went here with a large group of eight and we all can’t stop talking about it.

Terrible service, disappointing birthday

By Curiosity29406631414 |

Food was amazing, however worst service I have had. Our server ignored us, make my partners milestone birthday a disappointment The server in the adjoining section went to his tables multiple times for ever once ours came. Had to set our empty drinks on edge of table to get our servers attention. Waited with empty drinks multiple times. Was a very disappointing birthday for my partner. Likely not to return. Also my brothers birthday is booked for a couple of weeks, likely to revisit and change restaurants. My husband had a very disappointing birthday dinner. Not sure if it was because we were a gay couple, but felt discriminated against. So disappointing for a restaurant we really enjoyed in the past

Great drinks with family style dishes

By Geoff F |

Sweet decorations and atmosphere. Friendly staff. We sat at the bar and ate a few family style dishes. Our favorite were the tacos, kimchi fried rice, and street corn. The drinks were simple yet delicious and strong enough

Fun Concept, Mixed Results at Best Friend

By Nomadicus |

Best Friend makes a strong first impression. The speakeasy-style entrance through a faux convenience store sets a playful tone, and slipping past the “store” into the warehouse-like dining room immediately feels like part of the experience rather than just a meal. We were seated near the expo line, which turned out to be one of the highlights. Watching the controlled chaos of the kitchen in motion added energy and made the space feel alive. It’s a great seat if you’re curious about how things come together behind the scenes. There is also a Chef’s table in the kitchen if interested. Dining with a group allowed us to try a wide range of dishes, and that’s probably the best way to experience Best Friend. The menu leans adventurous and creative, with bold ideas that made this Roy Choi’s hotspot a destination and sometimes the dishes land really well and other times fall a bit flat. When it works, it’s exciting. When it doesn’t, it’s forgettable. Best Friend is absolutely worth a visit for the atmosphere, the concept, and the chance to see it for yourself. It’s the kind of place that earns a checkmark, fun to experience once, memorable for the setup, but not a restaurant that I’ll crave a return trip.

Excellent food

By Helena |

We love the food! We would go back if we had more time to do the tasting menu. Super different and cool atmosphere and very good service too!

Good food, bad service

By megan l |

We were in Vegas a couple months back and wanted to try this place after watching his show on Netflix, but didn’t make a reservation. So for this trip we made a reservation in advance and were really looking forward to it. From the time we checked in to the time we paid our bill the experience with the staff was awful. The hostess acted like we were totally inconveniencing her, the waiter was less than helpful with suggestions and didn’t even take a drink order. Our table had a view of the kitchen and we watched our food basically sit under warmers for a food runner while the wait staff stood around. When our food did start to arrive it was delicious but it was so overshadowed by the poor service. The entire staff seemed to hate their boss, hate each other, hate their jobs. Too many other places to eat in Vegas to pay this much for subpar service vibes.

Great vibes at Best Friend

By Shoshana |

Such a fun restaurant. The music was great, and the decor had these great vibes. The restaurant had this great food truck feel, and the food was a delicious mix of Korean Fusion. Looking forward to visiting again.

Best salad in Las Vegas

By Dave W |

This restaurant is good! The food. Excellent with unique flavors. My starter was the Las Vegas salad, which was one of the best salads I have ever eaten. My entree was the garlic chicken, which was really good too, but all chicken thighs and prefer a combo of dark and white meat. No problems with the food. See pictures. Definitely order the salad here My server was prompt and attentive. Also very knowledgeable on the menu options. Restaurant is classy inside with an eclectic entryway. Located in Park MGM. Reservations are recommended. The bad. Very loud Korean rap music playing continuously. Couple at the next table was almost shouting to each other. My thought, the food is so good you can put up with the music. A little pricey (like most places on the strip) but definitely worth eating here.

Great food; good slushies

By Kevin K |

The food was excellent -- highly recommend the slippery shrimp dish. I would recommend that you make reservations far in advance. There is a dining area for walk-ins but it is limited. Their watermelon slushie was amazing.

Best Friend

By Nancy N |

With the pandemic, we had not had a chance to enjoy Best Friend. So, glad that we were able to make reservations this week. The experience was perfect, we had such a good time. From the wonderful food to G (Geremew) , who provided us the best service, the whole experience was incredible. We tried the kogi tacos, elotes, kimchi rice, BBQ chicken and date cake. They were all fabulous and we would have them again! The highlight of the whole evening is that we had the opportunity to meet Chef Roy Choi! Can't wait to go back!

Disrespectful waste of time

By Reagan S |

3 people from a table of 8 went to MGM assuming they were close which they’re not. They wouldn’t sit until the full table until all were there (it was a 15 min walk). When all were there and they eventually sat us they only had 3 options for our nut allergy which came with 2 months warning (the best option was dry vegetables) Mixed up soda orders giving full fat to diabetic people. Couldn’t organise a party at a rave… wasteful trip

Tacos, street corn and Ramen are the best!

By EmilyL95765 |

Great food. we had the big boy platter and I wish we would have had separate platters because all of the flavors melted together, was hard to taste each dish. avoid the Shrimp; it was very over cooked. Daikon was flavorless. Kimchi was excellent. The Ramen was the best I have had in a very long time! Highly recommend trying the ramen!!!! the street corn was AMAZING-so delicious that I was sorry I had to share it! Wonderful service! The music was loud, but it was a fun, young vibe!

Kimchi carbonara

By John M |

Phenomenal spot. The decor and vibe is on point. Service was incredibly friendly and attentive. The menu is eclectic and unique. The kimchi carbonara was spectacular! We'll be going back for sure.

Amazing meal

By Johnny C |

We loved Best Friend. We had four people and it seemed like the food just kept coming. They bring it as it is ready, so it literally did! We had the wings, Veggie noodles, Short Rib Tacos, Street corn, Slippery Shrimp, Spicy pork, Chego Pork bowl, and ramen. It was all amazing and each person enjoyed something more than the other. For me, it was the Spicy Pork! I recommend it highly to anyone and we were lucky enough to meet Roy himself.... I huge highight of Vegas for sure.

Order the shrimp and avoid the taco

By Kay D |

We had an awesome time here! The live DJ is a great touch. It is fairly loud so something to keep in mind but he was playing some ace tunes. We both went for the chefs menu which was a great selection and we felt good value for the variety you get. Everything was exceptional apart from the taco, that was the only let down. The beef was chewy and bland. I would've been disappointed if that was the only thing we'd ordered. On the otherhand we coulda eaten a bucket of slipery shrimp. We will definately be back for sure. Really cool place, great food, good service.

Dang! That was delicious!

By ElleD |

When you walk in it looks like a very small grab and go but there are red curtains that lead to a very large restaurant hidden in the back. Very LA. Everything we ordered was ridiculously good. There were 5 of us so the waiter suggested we order two BBQ and several sides to share. We ordered the short rib BBQ and the Chicken- both were great! Even better was the street corn (holy crap- very addictive) , vegetable noodles, broccolini and vegetable rice. Best meal, by far, that we had in Vegas. If you want to get in without a reservation I suggest getting there right at 5pm for an early dinner otherwise you won't get in. Waiters were wearing black addidas track suits and the hostesses al red suit- very hip -and the music was pumping. I would eat here everyday. Waiter was super friendly and helpful. Too much good food to choose from.

30th birthday meal

By Abigail Hall |

We were staying at the Park MGM as part of our honeymoon road trip from England, and this leg of our trip also happened to cover my 30th birthday! I knew before we got here that I needed to pay Best Friend a visit, and it didn't disappoint. We made the mistake of not making a reservation in advance, but were able to be seated at the bar which if anything added to our experience, as the bar staff were superb - super friendly, attentive and helpful, they couldn't do more for us but without it feeling like they were hovering over us. We opted for the chef's menu, which I highly recommend. Everything we were served was sublime, it was almost too much for us to eat but we persevered because it was so damn good! We didn't want to waste a bite. Thank you so much for a phenomenal birthday meal, if we're ever in Vegas again we'll definitely be back!

Tasty

By Luckyduck2012 |

We popped in here while it was busy and was given a seat at the bar. Food was very tasty. We had the lumpia, wings, and tacos. The tacos were our favourite. I would give it 5 star but the lumpia didn’t really have much in the way of filling so it was mainly eating a deep fried empty tube. Vibe was fun.

Fantastic food!

By Brenna Wiles |

We came on a Monday night (with a reservation for 2) and there was a line outside of the door before they opened. The food here is fantastic! We ordered the shirt rib tacos, kimchi fried rice, and ramen fries. There was more than enough to share. The atmosphere is laid back but a bit loud. I appreciated the mocktails as well! The green fizz one is tasty!

Very good Korean Food

By KevinLA310 |

It's really good Korean food, but coming from LA, I can find the same for a bit less. There's a set menu that I'm sure most people get as the price for just a few items will cost more than the fixed "sampler" menu. It was overall good and gives you a little of everything. The favorite was the galbi.

Kimchi. Fried. Rice. 🔥🔥🔥

By Brianna H |

After seeing a million tik toks, I knew this had to be on our eating list of our trip. I have never had Korean food so it was out of my comfort zone. I went with the kimchi fried rice because it was highly recommended. HOLY COW. It absolutely blew my mind. I’m still dreaming about it. I also had the Mexican street corn and it was great. We arrived as soon as it opened (we did not have reservations) and sat down immediately in the open seating at the bar area. Best Friend will always be on my list of must-eat restaurants when going back to Vegas.

If You Haven't Been to Korea or Don't Like Korean Food, Go To This Restaurant

By Trophy Food Experiences |

I was so excited to go to this restaurant as it was advertised as "Korean Street Food". I love Korean food and especially the spice and exotic flavors. So basically this is westernized Korean food. Just looking around at the crowd, it looked like people who actually don't eat much Korean food and more just people who want to look and feel hip. I guess you could call it fusion food but from my perspective, the chicken wings, the tempura were some of the most unflavorful and bland food I have had at any Asian restaurant. If you want to see what is real Korean street food, go to Korea or come to Vancouver. There are plenty of Korean restaurants way better and way more innovative than this restaurant.

Cool place

By Frank S |

I liked the 90s hip hop west coast vibe of the restaurant (at least that’s how I interpreted it) and there was a full on dj pumping tunes during dinner. Spicy pork had quite a kick and was amazing. Really enjoyed the food. Service was good. Reservation was sat on time. Would definitely return.

Terrible food.

By Tom I |

The atmosphere is fun and eclectic but the food needs some improvement. The short rib tacos were cold and grizzly, the tempura dishes greasy and over breaded. My wife vomited her dinner an hour after we ate. Beware!

Service is an issue

By ntraveler145 |

Went as a group of 7 and the service was basically rude and rushed. We were told that we could not place a small order and then decide more. We were told that we had to put in the entire order at once. Hard to do when you don't know the menu or portion size. All of the food arrived at once. Not as each was ready. Made it difficult. Food was OK. Not awful but not brilliant. Tried the cucumber drink at the servers suggestion and would definitely avoid this. Odd taste. Just not a refreshing drink. When we finished our dishes and were considering ordering more the server bluntly said do we want desserts before he brings us the bill before we leave. Was there about an hour. Would not go again. Music was too loud as well.

Amazing restaurant!

By Adam S |

We were in Las Vegas for vacation and were looking for a nice upscale but trendy spot to dine on the Las Vegas Strip. We are a big fan of Roy Choi's chef shows and have never tried one of his restaurants, so we wanted to give Best Friend by Roy Choi a shot while we were in town. We've passed by Best Friend in the Park MGM for a few years now, just never have tried it. From the outside, the place doesn't look like much for anything, but when you go in, the restaurant is deep into the outlet so you really can't see the restaurant from the Park MGM casino floor. The restaurant is truly beautiful, clean, and very trendy. You definitely need to make a reservation in advance because the restaurant can get busy during peak times. We ordered a bottle of wine to start (prices all ranged, but some bottles were reasonably priced). Our server was also really friendly when we were first seated and brought us some complimentary rolls and offered to answer any initial questions we had on the menu. We ordered the prix fixed menu (Menu B) for $95/person. This menu has SO MUCH food, you really won't leave hungry and it's reasonably priced because you get to try most of their menu options and some of their menu options get expensive! Everything we got was so tasty and flavorful and the kitchen staff show a lot of attention to detail and care and really put together an amazing culinary experience. We really enjoyed everything we ordered and the staff is truly amazing! Definitely stop in if you're on the Las Vegas Strip!

Best meal I've ever had.

By Gena H |

Make sure you come hungry! We ordered the Chef menu for 4 and there was SO much food. All of it was hot and delicious.. the Kimchi Fried Rice changed my life. We'll be making a trip back to Vegas for this meal specifically. Our waiter Gabriel was FANTASTIC, as were all the food runners we encountered during our never ending meal. I'm sure everyone in my life is sick of me talking about how much I loved the food. We saw Roy as he was leaving for the night, which was a very nice surprise! He was so kind to stop and chat with us for a moment. Highly recommend a reservation as it was very busy!

Just have to try it!!

By Leslie K |

I have always wanted to try this place and finally got to go. It was worth it. Delicious and I loved the decor!! Had the Street corn, kalbi tacos and the pork belly bowl. Kalbi tacos was a bit spicy but delish!!

Great experience and delish food!

By adamdlasky |

We had a really nice time at BEST FRIEND. It is a very unique and tucked away set up in an easy to find to find location at Park MGM. The atmosphere was a lot of fun - kind of dark (in a good way) with good music playing from a DJ. The food and service were both great. It's a tough choice to pick from the menu as everything looks so good. All of the options we selected were delicious and the portions a good size. The prices are fair. Overall a great time and we'll be back for sure!

Apparently they close at 11:30 on a Saturday night and don't want to make more money.

By Momo |

We were in LV to see Lady Gaga. The show ended late and we were looking for a quick bite because we were starving. The Park MGM concierge told us to go to Best Friend, so we did. We got there at 11:30, and asked if we could have a few quick bites like tacos. We were informed by the hostesses that they were no longer serving food. I guess the restaurant isn't open until midnight on a Saturday night as advertised. I also think the restaurant should let the Park MGM staff know this, since they are sending hungry customers there to eat after concerts.

Great vibe and awesome food!

By Venom P |

So this restaurant has been on the short list. I am not disappointed as we truly enjoyed the vibe. The DJ and vibe was so casual but yet inviting. 1st thing everything is EXTRA large!! Served family style so bring your Best Friends!! I recommend the salty dog!!! I think it was well balanced that I sipped in like 3 gulps. LOL. We had the Kalbi, BBQ Ribeye, Fried Chicken,Elotes and Fish Taco. All the dishes were well seasoned. The chicken was fried hard (Korean style) but not dry. The season was salty with kick. The Ribeye could not have not been cooked any better! The fish tacos had a kick so know your spice level. We truly enjoyed our experience and our server Danny was very pleasant and made great recommendations.

Great vibe, great food for sharing

By Mike M |

Located in the Park MGM hotel. We needed dinner first night without any reservations. Even though they were pretty booked, we were seated at the chef's table in the kitchen. Such a cool spot and vibe with very good service. Everyone very friendly and the food was fantastic. One of our favorite meals on the trip. Must order the short rib tacos - so good we attempted to go back twice more during the week to get more!

Tasty food in a fun setting

By Alan304 |

Tasty You immediately forget that you’re in a large Las Vegas hotel when you walk in. The food is creative and delicious. The Mariated Cucumbers were a great snack. The service was attentive.

Best BBQ

By Robert C |

We had the best time here. Our waitress was awesome. Very helpful with food ideas. The food tasted great. Good selection of cocktails and beer. We all had different items from the menu and it was awesome. It reminded me of having a backyard bbq with all your friends.

Fast Food Disguised as a restaurant. All food is precooked and comes out in 3 min. Pretty awful experience.

By jason v |

We used to say that Kogi was a restaurant disguised as a taco truck, Best friend feels like a taco truck disguised as a restaurant. Came in and was seated promptly, asked for recommendations on the drinks and ordered a spin on a daiquiri and a spin on a Negroni don’t remember the names. Also asked for recommendations on the food, ordered dynamite rice, slippery shrimp, and spicy pork. All the food came out in less than 5 minutes. Very strange, nothing was portioned out it just all came. First of all the pork wasn’t even hot it was warm, like it was kept in a carneceria warming tray and thrown on the skillet for the client, it was obvious this was the case as the onions were still raw underneath. The dynamite rice and shrimp were both covered in the same siracha mayo, I wish the server would have mentioned that because together it was too much and inedible, felt like I was drinking mayonnaise. The shrimp were well cooked but again swimming in siracha mayo. After we finished eating the drinks came about 20 min later and basically the whole experience lasted 25 minutes. We stuck around to finish the cocktails and we’re out in less than 40 minutes total. Definitely one of the worst dining experiences in Vegas. We are from LA and wanted this to go well, we are pulling for Roy to succeed but if he would have had our experience he would be pretty pissed off.

Great Atmosphere & Fantastic Food

By RJ Lago |

I recently had my second visit to Best Friend and was just as impressed as the first time. This time around, it was more than just my wife and I, and we enjoyed the tasting menu of sorts with a little bit of everything; it was all silly good. Nobody had a negative thought or word about things they wouldn't even ordinarily touch for food. Everyone was happy and asked when the next time we would return there. While this review is food-focused, I will also say that the vibe was fantastic, with great beats in the background and low enough volume to have actual conversations. I honestly can't wait till the next time I get to eat at this restaurant by the culinary genius Roy Choi.

Best Meal I Had in Vegas

By Icarus4335 |

We went here for a late dinner on our last day in Vegas and we definitely saved the best for last. Food, atmosphere, and service were all INCREDIBLE. Easily the best meal we had on our vacation. We went with the chef's menu, which costs $75 per person, but I still felt was worth it based on how good the food was. I would definitely recommend.

Best Fries Ever

By Jason T |

Hands down the best wings and fries I've had in my entire life. Seasoning was strong and unique. So good that my friend and I seriously considered returning for dinner the next night, even though we were only in Vegas for a few days. It was a small-ish space with limited seating, though we did not have to wait on a Friday night around 10:30PM. Artwork was also incredible to look at.

Best Asian Fusion Restaurant in Las Vegas?

By Dale W |

My overall experience here was great!!! The Asian fusion cuisine was delicious, and the drinks were great as well. I had their version of an Old Fashioned, which had both bourbon and anejo tequila as the co-stars. Very strong, yet tasty! Everything we tried was great, from the salted yeast rolls, the Korean wings, Slippery Shrimp, the Kimchi Fried Rice, the Big Boy Platter, the Lumpia, and the Steak and Lobsta platter. The service was incredible and super attentive, and the ambience was great. They have a DJ spinning 90’s and 2000’s hip hop and R&B, which contributed to the overall wonderful experience. Definitely one of the best Asian Fusion restaurants in Vegas! Can’t wait to go back!!!

Pass

By Nicola P |

Didn’t end up eating here because we were still waiting outside the door 20 mins after our reservation and made to feel like an inconvenience to the host. General bad vibes and quite rude. Looks like a cool place but ultimately the first impression was giving a “we’re popular so deal with it” attitude which I’m not here for when there’s a million other restaurants in vegas that offer a warm/communicative welcome.

5 stars Off The Beaten Path

By John K |

Wow! We were 5 nights in Vegas, and wanted to try something different other than the usual steak houses. Reservations were a bit difficult and the front desk unorganized, but once seated everything seemed to flow in a relaxed but attentive service. There were 30f us and we ordered three appts, the Fries which were ultra crispy and deliciously perfect, spicy but not too hot. Next the Chicken Wings, we all agreed the best we ever had, whole wings super crispy but moist inside. And tempura of mixed vegetables and seafood these were terrific with more of the super crispy coating but no oil. We ordered two entrees. First first was a rice bowl with pork belly; a burst of flavor, lots of crunchy pork belly pieces and plenty to share. Second was six shrimp over sautéed onions. I first thought this was an odd combination but it worked, onions were full of flavor and slightly seeet and the large shrimp moist, spicy and not overcooked. For dessert a date cake with salted caramel ice cream, unbelievable, we all wanted the recipe. This restaurant is a welcome addition to the strip restaurants, most of whom have the same tired steak house menu.

Great food, but too noisy.

By orlandofoodlover18 |

The food here is amazing. The Korean Wings were fried to perfection. I could have eaten a bucket of them. The Spicy Pork Bbq was so tasty and the right amount of spice. The Chego Pork Belly bowl was the highlight of an already amazing meal. I'd highly recommend all those dishes. The only complaint I have is that the music was way too loud. They have a DJ there which is cool, but we couldn't hear each other at our table. I would definitely recommend turning the music down.

Loved it!

By Rebecca R |

LOVE! Great atmosphere and great food. If you’re looking for somewhere Lowkey and chill to have a great dinner this is the place!

Good food small portions high price

By OasisBound T |

We came here without a reservation and got seats by the counter. Fun place with lots of food items Roy Choi grew up with on display. The portions were small for what you paid for. Food tasted good and some were spicy.

Great but not a traditional restaurant

By Corbin G |

This is not like many restaurants I've been to. It's through the back of a bodega and club music is usually blasting from a live dj. This place is loud, not a place for a first date. The food from the mind and pallate of Roy Choi is excellent the slippery shrimp and kimchi fried rice are standouts in addition to the well done standard k bbq fare. The slushies are delicious fun and strong, I got the Henny and Cola. It's a good spot to be just know what you're getting into.

Great food, hype atmosphere

By Valerie J |

The atmosphere is hype. The food was very good. A lady came to our table as soon as we were seated and explained that everything was served family style and comes to the table when it’s finished. So each item we ordered arrived at our table at a different time. I never really felt like we had one server. Each time a different person bought our food to us. I’d say the service could stand a little improvement. The street corn and kimchi fried rice was too. I wanted to try the scallops but it was $45 for either 5 or 6, I can’t recall which one now but I thought that was a skimpy portion for the price. We ended up ordering the fried chicken and it was fried too hard. Overall it was good food and I’d definitely return in search of a better protein option.

We will go back

By aks001 |

Enjoyed our food very much. The thing that will bring us back was the Orange slushie and medjool date cake. Best dessert I had in a long time. Moist cake with caramel ice cream.

Definitely worth it

By LyndseyMF1 |

I've eaten at their food truck several times. The food at the restaurant is amazing! The restaurant itself, is a little dark for me, I prefer more light, but the food was great! We did the sampler menu, which is pretty pricey, but definitely worth it! The slippery shrimp was so good! Save room for dessert because they definitely won't disappoint either!

Bad Friend or Worst Friend, not Best Friend

By Dweiford |

My party of 4 was abruptly asked to leave after spending $600. Minutes after we paid, a manager approached our table and said, “I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but we need the table for the next reservation”. He was kicking us out! There was plenty available seating! When I inquired about this privately with him, he told me that there is a 2 hr limit on the reservation. If we would have ordered something else, I’m sure we would have not been told “no, you’ve reached your time limit.” This was insensitive and ruined what we considered a good dining experience up until that point. I will never return here because of this. When I wrote to the assistant manager and GM, they gave me a weak apology and doubled down on the “strict” 2 hr policy. I would consider this to be Bad Friend or Worst Friend, not Best Friend.

Hip hopping fun with good food

By dahlia8 |

Always a fun place to visit. The music is loud and hopping. Servers are friendly. Food is good! We ordered the street corn, kimchi fried rice, kalbi and the miso squash. I wasn’t wild about the miso squash but everything else was delicious! The orange dreamsicle with an extra shot of vodka was an amped up slurpee complete with a brain freeze! The Medjool date cake was delicious! Reservations recommended!

Good food, great vibe

By MNRSF |

My family loves Korean food and we were excited to try Best Friend. The entrance is fantastic - it feels like you've walked into a Korean convenience store but it's the bar! Beautiful interior which definitely felt like LA, and live DJ playing all of our favorite 80s/90s hip-hop. Our server was great, very attentive. Food was good but some dishes were misses for us - highlights were Koji tacos and bulgogi; Dynamite rice sounded incredible but was sort of one note. All in all, a very fun experience

All the single ladies

By Franco C |

My wife and I kept wanting to go and eat at best friends. Our last visit in May we finally did. Unfortunately we didn’t make reservations and didn’t get in the back dining area so we were able to grab two seats at the bar. Want to start off by saying the food was excellent. Our problem was the service by the bartender s serving us. They neglected us when we got in, gave us menus after we already looked at the menu on our phones and we finally served drinks 20-25 minutes in. Now if they were busy we totally understand, but it was the single ladies seating at the bar that occupied them, both bartenders I don’t think I would go again, lots off places to eat in vegas

Great service. Great food

By Jimmyh174 |

Great dinner at Best Friend. Thank you to Stacy our server and Phillip the general manager. Despite minor snafus they took great care of us. The food was amazing. The drinks were great (get the creamsicle drink). Dessert was amazing. They both made a good experience memorable. We will definitely be back. THANK YOU

most delicious kimchi fried rice ever

phenomenal meal, and very decently priced. sometimes it takes a while to get in without a reservation but it’s well worth the wait. highly recommend the kimchi fried rice and the cucumber cocktail ❣️

Roy Choi is definitely my Best Friend!

By karenmcclintock |

I had watched a bunch of Youtube videos about great places to eat in LV, and this place consistently showed up as one of the best. I was curious to try the South Korean/Mexican fusion they are known for and, let me tell you, it was outstanding! My husband and I went all in on the Chef's Menu. The amount of food you get is insane, and we were beyond impressed with each and every dish that was brought to our table. We were completely stuffed once the dessert course made its way to us, but we had to try that as well. Our favorite courses were the kimchi fried rice and the kogi tacos, but it was all amazing. The staff is very attentive and the general vibe is upbeat and loud. We had just arrived in Vegas early that morning, and the DJ was spinning great tunes, so that helped wake us up and get us in the mood for night time in Vegas! We will dream about going back to this fabulous restaurant again.

Amazing Food

Absolutely amazing delicious food. The Kimchi is amazing. Get the appetizer samler platter. Short ribs are a must.

Almost Lived Up to Our Expectations

By susanlst |

We were so excited to get a reservation at Best Friend during the busy Easter weekend. We anticipated a fun and delicious dinner. We were greeted quickly by the hostess at the cash register inside the restaurant. She quickly showed us to our table for two. Sadly, it turns out our table was in a high traffic area. Strollers were stowed behind us and it was the path for the servers serving the whole right side of the restaurant. We used the QR code on the table to chose our food and drinks. Our waiter served the drinks quickly and took our appetizer orders. We were amazed at how quickly the food came out of the kitchen. The server helped us with our entre selections, that food also came out incredibly quickly - can I say almost too quickly? We were not able to enjoy our appetizers - kimchi and spicy cucumbers, before the entre food started arriving. All of our food was delicious and very spicy - not disappointing in any way. Our advice is to insist that the staff slow their roll a bit - so that you can enjoy a more leisurely paced meal.

Best Banchan Ever

By EricLosAngeles |

We eat Korean food and fusion food often and have visited Roy Chois various ventures in Los Angeles over the years - but this hands down his best. The banchan dishes alone are worth it - kimchi radishes that are outstanding. The kimchi fried rice is also amazing. We also had the bbq chicken which was delicious. Eggplant was the only let down of the meal - but even this was not bad. Finished off with chocolate gotuchan which was something one could not imagine tasting good - yet it was excellent!

Roy Choi is my Best Friend!

By rcote75 |

OK, so maybe Roy Choi doesn't actually know who I am but I have been to his restaurant Best Friend in Las Vegas several times now. The first few times, my husband and I did the tasting menu. This last time, May 2024, we ordered off the menu as it was late and I didn't think I could eat all that food. We still couldn't eat all that food! I ordered a bottle of Riesling - it was a dry Riesling and went with everything. My husband started with the Cola Slushy. For food we got: Lumpia, Elotes, Kimchi Fried Rice, and the Fried Chicken. So much food! Such good food! The elotes was so good with the lime and just yumminess. The Kimchi Fried Rice is a must have every time we go. The Fried Chicken was great and very filling after all that rice. The food comes out as it's ready so you may get one dish, you may get 3 at a time. This is perfect at a place like Best Friend. It works. The service and atmosphere are casual. Servers in track suits, a DJ spinning hits from the 80s to today...just a fun place to hang out with your Best Friend! (Unless you're looking for a quiet romantic dinner...then maybe this isn't the best place to go.)

Pardon?

By PipperDog |

The music was great but overpowered. The service was friendly but dishes were lost (maybe) they couldn’t hear the order. The food was great.

ONE OF THE BEST MEALS OF MY LIFE.

By BrianEatsFromIG |

This is probably in the top 10 meals of my entire life. Everything about this place is amazing and I can't understand how it "only" has 4 stars. I ordered like half the menu: Banchan sampler, fries, mixed tempura, kalbi short rib kbbq, bbq vegetables, yuzu bbq shrimp, fried chicken. Not pictured: Ramen dusted fries I love when you are so hyped to visit a place and then it completely blows you out of the water. Best Friend did just that for me. Since I'm from LA and have had tacos from Kogi many times, I tried to focus on some of the KBBQ and dishes unique to here. Every. Single. Dish. Blew. Me. Away. The banchan was so simple but every single item had a ton of flavor. You can tell there is time and effort put into just that tiny menu item. The tempura was some of the best I've had, and the highlight was def a whole shishito pepper dipped in that sauce. The kalbi was probably everyone's least favorite thing, which is saying something because it far surpassed any AYCE kbbq spot I've been to. It was so good, but not as unique as the other dishes. We got the vegetables because balance, and were pleasantly surprised that they all packed a huge flavor punch- some citrus, some sesame but just so good. But the yuzu shrimp really took the crown. The yuzu flavor was prominent but not overpowering, allowing you to still taste the actual shrimp and the flavor from the grill. I could have eaten 100 of these things. Initially, I wasn't going to order the fried chicken but our server recommended it. And holy $#%* am I glad he did. Not only was the crunch to juicy ratio absolutely perfect, but the seasoning was on a whole different level. It had some spice, but it wasn't spicy. Honestly, some of the best fried chicken I've had....and it might be the best in Vegas. And don't sleep on the fries. They are dusted with a ramen seasoning that is just pure gold. Pure gold. All of this food was incredible. The cocktails here are also amazing. Slushies are awesome. The service is top notch. Gabriel was our server and Gilbert was our bartender when we came back for drinks the next night. And the next night. Come with friends and have a feast. You won't be sorry.

Tik Tok made us go

Went to Best Friend with family last night and the experience let alone the food was worth it. Will for certain be coming again next visit.

Below average value

By Durwood N |

Extremely high quality food with taste to match. The Kalbi, chicken, and literally everything was superb. The portion sizes are disappointingly small for the very high prices. There are much better values in Korean BBQ in Vegas.

Tasty Food and Great Vibe, But Small Portions

By Il0verice |

Fun atmosphere and friendly service. The Korean fusion dishes were flavorful, but portions are small. Still a solid spot if you want good food with a cool vibe on the Strip.

Outrageously good

By johnC_9 |

Quite possibly the best meal we ever ate. The food is incredible, the music great, the vibes amazing and the service top notch. Would literally fly back just for this place. Book it, enjoy it, you won't regret it

Best of LA’s Korean/Mexican Mash Up

By EditorCJP |

This restaurant pays homage to LA and its multitude of ethnic restaurants; specifically the Korean & Mexican mashup that has given the world kalbi tacos and kimchi quesadillas. Just past a waiting area that looks like a knock-off Circle K (intentionally; it’s perfect), diners walk into a dimly lit dining room that feels like an outdoor secret dining location. Pictures and iconography on the walls complete the LA vibe We ordered slushies and banchan to get started. The drinks were a 10 out of 10. The banchan was sadly a little too Americanized for those of us who regularly eat Korean food. 7/10. We shared multiple dishes for dinner: Kalbi (10/10), kimchi fried rice (8/10), short rib tacos (11/10 - best dish of the night), and street corn (9/10). Service was friendly and fast but not rushed. We can’t wait to go back to try a whole new round of foods and cocktails

Hidden

By kathy h |

It looks like a bar but it is a true unbelievers dream. Behind the curtain is a reservation only great secured fabulous way to entertainment. Food was fabulous delivered family style and my entree was delivered 18 minutes after everyone finished their meal. Not Brenda’s fault the waitress. Management just walked around looking sexy not caring about the customers expectations

Looking forward to trying more dishes

By Kim_F_CA |

Make sure you get a reservation in advance! Don’t be upset by the line if you get here before 5pm, they seat reservations quickly based on reserved guests. We waited in line at about 4:45 for the 5:00PM opening. After making our way up to the cash register, where the hostess was, we were taken immediately to the back room through a red plastic curtain. The front room was an Asian supermarket/diner, while the back room was like a dark and large secret speakeasy. Dishes are family style, so we shared lumpia, Korean wings, sweet corn, and a house salad. BFF loved the cucumber drink, It was an enjoyable dinner. I would try different dishes next time, to try more of the menu, but everything we had was fantastic.

Chef Menu experience at Best Friend

By iwcpromoter |

We wanted to have the full-on Roy Choi experience so opted for the Chef Menu. Boy, did we make the right choice. So much food though, and this was the first time during our recent Vegas trip that we felt really full. Totally worth it. Lot's of creative dishes, including some new ones for us (Kim Chi Fried Rice). They even accommodated my shellfish allergy with street corn for my portion, with my wife receiving the slippery shrimp. We highly recommend this great restaurant. Awesome vibe, great d.j. music, and delicious food.

Feel like being scammed...

By NhanLe88 |

I honestly have no idea about this place, then my friend watched netflix and they would love to try it out. I trusted Netflix and the reviews, so I came here on March 7, 2020. Can't remember the name of the food, but it was the ribsteak taco, the chicken wings, uni rice, and the grilled fish. 1- The taco surprised me, I do feel the fusion between Mexican taco and Asian food. The mixture of soy sauce\ rice vinegar to replace the original sour taste from lime\tomato is great. its like 8$ per taco, but there's around an Oz of steak in there, so i think the price justify. 2- The chicken wings...I would say the local Korean chicken wings near my place would do much better... the chicken is not marinated enough, it's like raw chicken, battered and deep fried...tasteless, the sauce come with it is not that great, the outer layer is to thick... cost way too much for less than average chicken wings. 3-The uni rice- it feels like my cooking when i was 14 years old and i have to cook for myself when mom is not home...the uni itself is great, i have had alot of raw\baked uni before. The rice...i can only taste soyce sauce, vinegar(again?) and mandarin orange dried skin... well, there maybe more ingredient than that....but the soyce sauce flavour destroy it... 4-the grilled fish...the main dish, cost 75$, and was featured on Roy Choi Netflix show. A COMPLETE DISATER! the fish felt a bit over grilled, the meat is dry, the char coal layer mixed up with soyce sauce , and yes SOUR taste from vinegar again!, the mixture of veggie and the fish just make it looks horrible, a comple messed up dish... after we finish, i can still feel that burnt charcoal + soy sauce + vinegar taste in my mouth... For an Asian, growing up with a bottle of soy sauce next to me... I think all of these dishes are a complete disaster in the way of "soy sauce" usage. Why did I say i feel scammed? honestly, for foods feature on a show, and priced so high, I would expect next to average quality, but what I got is a horrible taste, and a hefty price to pay... I feel you Roy Choi, you are trying hard to combine that Asian flavours to Mexican, or Western flavours... that first Taco dish tells me that, and I love it, I was excited to wait for the next 3 dishes....but, no, not all of you experiments are succesful, and you still charge a hefty crazy price for your failure experiments... I may have a different taste, or just a regular guy with a less than average taste bud... but again, it was a horrible experience.

Fun dinner

By Joshua T |

If loud 90s hip hop music doesn't bother you, you should try this place. Personally, I found the music fun but if your looking for a quiet or even moderately quiet place, this might not be for you. Prices and portions were great, especially for Vegas. Everything was delicious and service was terrific.

Big Flavors!

By Guillermo M |

This is a must, we come here every visit. The vibe is fantastic and the food and service are amazing. The dishes are seasoned to perfection and the combination of flavors is unmatched. Will do again

Amazing food and experience

By atank81 |

Was in Vegas with my best friend for her birthday. I had seen this place on The Chef Show and told her about it because it was in our hotel. At first we couldn’t get a reservation. She was up very late the night before we left and a spot opened up. We got the street corn, the tacos and the whole fish. All were amazing. I wouldn’t have ever ordered the fish without seeing it on the show. It was amazing. It is loud-there is a dj-but it honestly just seems to enhance the experience

Music is life, so is good food.

By Shannon C |

The loud music is amazing and makes this 52 year old feel cool, even if I am dining at 7pm. All of the reviews complaining about the loud music just don't understand the atmosphere here. It is supposed to be a party. The service is perfection, the food is delicious and I have been here 5 times since 2022. Last visit was Aug 29 2023.

Had to give it a try....

By Joanne W |

A lot of hype and two times turned away because we did not have reservations, we made reservations on a Sunday night. We did the $50 tasting combo - A LOT OF FOOD. Very good, spicy when it was supposed to be. Loved the crunchy shrimp and the tacos. Pricey is Las Vegas. Most of our main meals add up to $50 with food and beverage (as we had here). We had our full, and the tasting included a delicious dessert. Unique surroundings, nice and helpful wait staff. It was a good experience.

Good!

By Mandy S |

The food was great. My family’s favorite dishes are the shrimps and uni rice. The kimchi was one of the best I have had, not too sour and spicy, very crunchy. The BBQ platter was flavourful and good portion.

If you like overly salty underwhelming food, slow service and unbearably loud music, I highly recommend Best Friend!

By ronniefront |

Travelled to Vegas for the F1 and was excited to go to Best Friend as part of our trip. Unfortunately the entire meal was a complete let down and by far the worst meal we experienced during our trip to Vegas. The food was pretty poor and all overly salted. The Birria Ramen for example was just a bowl of salty brine and what seemed like instant noodles. The Kogi Short Rib Tacos were salty dry cubes of beef on top of soggy taco wraps. Street Corn was a bowl of what seemed like salty tinned sweet corn covered in cheese. The service was slow and everyone lacked any sort of effort or enthusiasm. It was as if the customers were just an inconvenience for the staff. For example we were sat at our table and it took a good 10-15 minutes for someone to greet us and ask if we wanted water (compared to other places we ate in vegas, this wait would be 2 minute tops). Finally, good luck if you want to hold a conversation with your friends in the restaurant. The music from the DJ was so loud - it was like being in a club. My Apple Watch measured the volume at 85 decibels!! Overall severely disappointed, the only redeeming feature of Best Friend is the aesthetics and branding which I loved. Just a huge shame that the core elements of the restaurant (food and service) was disappointingly poor.

Nightclub atmosphere in a restaurant

By Kathryn B |

The food was amazing ! However, they have a DJ that plays the music so loud you can't converse with the people at your own table. They had a large group of people at two huge tables that were singing at the top of their lungs and standing up dancing throughout our entire meal. They were pouring alcohol into each others mouths as if they were at a nightclub! If they want to be a nightclub instead of a restaurant, they should stop serving food and allowing families to book tables. We don't mind music playing during dinner, but I don't expect to sit next to a DJ and not be able to enjoy my meal. If you have large groups, I suggest you close the restaurant for these large rowdy partygoers. The management was taking pictures and seemed to condone the behavior. We've eaten there in the past, and there was music , but not at the level dangerous to your hearing. I wouldn't recommend it if you want to be able to hear each other talk at your table. We weren't the only ones upset by the atmosphere! We noticed many of the other groups at dinner not being able to enjoy their meal. It's too bad because the food is delicious.

Great venue; fair dishes.

By gourmandmobile |

I was excited to try Best Friend. The venue is modern, casual and fun with a live DJ keeping the place lively. The dishes on the menu sounded innovative and tasty but unfortunately failed to deliver. We ordered the slippery shrimp which turned out to be a disappointing start to the meal. I was expecting crispy, battered rock shrimp in a spicy sauce but the shrimp were so drenched in sauce that they were soggy and overpowered. Our next dish, the kimchi rice, lacked the wonderful fermented kimchi flavor. The most disappointing dish was the whole grilled fish. At the start of the meal, our server informed us that dishes were prepared family style and were meant to be shared. He recommended the whole grilled fish and added that it was featured on the Netflix show starring chef Roy Choi. The dish had good, albeit subtle flavors, but the fish portion was very small for the $75 price. It was hardlly enough for one person, let alone two. On a more positive note, the BBQ vegetables were good. Service was great but alas, I don't think I will be returning or recommending this Best Friend.

Great Korean BBQ

By Rachel C |

We shared several dishes, Korean bbq pork, eggplant, tempura mixed veggies, taco plate, and a rice pot bowl. Everything was excellent and we had attentive waitstaff. We did'nt have to wait to be seated here, A little pricey but what isn't in Vegas. anymore.

Get the chefs menu!

By stinkykitty |

Chef menu didn’t disappoint. Literally felt like we sampled everything from the menu. There was so much food and it was so good that we couldn’t finish it. Loved the atmosphere and the music. This is not a quiet dinner place but a place to eat, laugh and have a great time all to a fantastic dj spinning some music. Loved it. Can’t wait to go back again.

Really yummy

By Soymoosemom |

Tried to make a reservation but unsuccessful. So we took our chances for walk in around 5 pm and got seats at the bar after a short wait. We liked sitting there as the front of the restaurant has a good vibe. Yummy Hawaiian sweet rolls as the bread starter. We ordered the bachan sampler which had a good amount of each. We also had the kalbi tacos - spicy yumminess - and the pork belly bowl. Too much food for two small women so took the leftovers back to the hotel. Service was attentive and friendly. So glad we managed to eat here during our stay.

Best Atmosphere!!!

By Guillermo M |

We had a fantastic time here. The vibe the food the service all excellent. All dishes were great seasoned to perfection. The whole experience is laid back with great music playing while you dine on some great dishes. This was our second visit and we are looking to the third soon

Every dish was amazing!

By Ryo Z |

Every food dish was amazing! Being fans of Roy Choi, our experience team decided to celebrate a co-workers work anniversary here at his restaurant- Best Friend. Uh-mazing! We made reservations (which I would recommend, I saw the line for the walk-ins & and it pretty long) Our group of 9 were situated into a small private room. The waiter brought out our ban Chan which was: Kimchi, spinach, sprouts, cucumber kimchi, broccolini, & radish kimchi. All the kimchis were really good. Since many has never eaten here we decided to order almost all we could from the menus. Here’s what we had: LA Kalbi: sooo good, I think I could’ve eaten the whole plate on my own! Spicy Pork: my ultimate fave Korean dish - great flavor mix of spicy, sweet and savory. Kogi tacos: very good with a nice slaw topping, of course I added more kimchi to my every bite. Fish tacos: this was a favorite, though the fish filet is a bit huge for the small tortillas. Eggplant: I never tried this dish but my co-working vegetarian’s enjoyed it! Fried chicken wings: omg- the breading was light and crispy and dusted with a really nice flavor blend (ramen soup packet?) Southern fried chicken: this was another wow-yum moment. Everyone loved this one. Kimchi fried rice: you have to get the rice at the bottom of the dolsot pot, that’s where the yummy crispy bits are! So good! Eloté corn: across the table favorite - it didn’t last very long on our table. Tomahawk steak: cooked to a perfect medium rare! Very flavorful and juicy! Shrimp: I don’t eat seafood but everyone who tried this dish enjoyed Lumpia: great starter with the wings, this was devoured within minutes! For desert, sundae: three scoops of ice cream with whipped cream and sauces and a chunk of cotton candy. A sugary and creamy way to end a huge meal. Date Cake: at first glance I thought it was Lava Cake, but as soon as I bit into it, it was a sweet, slightly dense but moist cake. It was surprisingly good as I didn’t know what to expect. The waitstaff were friendly, cordial & attentive to our party’s needs. I would recommend coming here to experience it yourself. Couple of things to mention, there are two different dining areas, there the front of house with a fun & whimsical - diner-like setting and then behind the red curtains there’s a more intimate dining experience with a still a bit of fun in the ambiance. Which ever you choose, I hope you enjoy all the food you try as much as we did! Njoy!

Best Friend Great Vibe and Food!

By ugorgeousthing |

What a fantastic concept! Best Friend by Roy Choi perfectly merges the charm of a fusion taco truck with the vibe of an uber-cool eatery. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by a visually stunning interior, brimming with eclectic knick-knacks and a delightfully kitschy feel that sets the tone for a memorable dining experience. The food is simply delicious. Every dish we tried was a flavor explosion, leaving us wishing we could sample everything on the menu. The creative fusion of Korean and Mexican influences results in unique and mouthwatering offerings that are sure to please any palate. The staff were friendly, however the only thing was that we did have to wait a bit to be seated. There should be more staff present out the front. The atmosphere is just as impressive as the cuisine. The clever merchandising and decor create a lively, inviting space that makes you want to linger and explore every corner. It’s clear that a lot of thought and care went into designing this restaurant, making it a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach.

Disrespectful

By Alicia |

Could only book a table for 9PM, checked in and was told they were running behind by 20 minutes and asked to wait. That was fine. 40 minutes later, still no table. Asked at the desk to be told we were the next priority and to stand behind the couple who were at the bar with no guidance on how long the table would be. Had to cancel the table after coming from Scotland and having it booked for a while before hand. Absolute shambles and completely disrespectful to your customers.

dont let grocery store entrance fool you

By abmilw |

Main restaurant is in back. Very casual restaurant in Park MGM hotel on strip (Not MGM), next to Eatly. Everything was great (except pass on Lobster). Portion size decent, but not huge. Food does come out quickly.

Awesome Experience

By Mantraghost |

What a great restaurant….very cool decor, amazing food and some brilliant music. The food is family style so portions are large - Korean Wings, Kalbi, Garlic Chicken and Kimchi Rice were all exceptional (although Yuzu Shrimp was a bit heavy on the citrus). Service was very good too. One small criticism: as much as we enjoyed the music, I think they could probably turn it down one or two notches without losing the vibe.

Korean BBQ Vibes and Great Service at Best Friend

By Ryo Z |

I took my brother and his wife to Best Friend by Roy Choi inside the MGM Park for his birthday, and the entire evening turned out even better than I hoped. The restaurant doesn’t just serve food — it sets a whole mood the moment you walk in. You enter through a bright, bodega-style front area with neon, merch, and a casual bar setup. Then a host guides you deeper inside, and the tone shifts instantly. The dining room feels like a mix of Seoul nightlife and an intimate Vegas lounge, with low lighting, a sleek bar, and a DJ playing 90s tracks that set the perfect throwback energy. Our server, James, took great care of us. He walked us through the menu, answered all of our questions, and made excellent suggestions. We chose Set Menu B, which turned out to be a fantastic choice for sharing. The meal opened with drinks and a round of banchan. The kimchi had a bright, fresh bite; the radish had just the right crunch; and the bean sprouts were especially good. (I was wishing the broccoli had been swapped for spinach namul, but everything else was on point.) We also tried the Vegas Salad, which was light and flavorful thanks to a subtle sesame-vinegar dressing, and the Kogi tacos, where tender meat mixed with a touch of gochujang and crisp slaw wrapped in corn tortillas — such a great starter. My brother and his wife enjoyed the lobster course, while I held out for the next round: • BBQ ribeye cooked perfectly medium-rare with bulgogi-style flavor and a hint of char • Spicy pork, gently hot but full of depth • Kimchi fried rice (I went with white rice after the server kindly mentioned the fish sauce) We were getting full, but when dessert was mentioned, saying no wasn’t an option. The Sticky Toffee Pudding was warm, rich, and served with a candle for my brother, and the Strawberry Shortie paired beautifully with a refreshing lime sorbet. From the atmosphere to the service to the food itself, every part of the evening flowed together beautifully. Best Friend is fun, flavorful, and full of personality — a great choice for celebrations or anyone craving Korean flavors with a Vegas twist.

Disappointing

By David S |

Disappointing. Big fan of Chef Choi and his vision, but the food here was mediocre, high in concept, but poor in preparation and quality. They were "out" of several dishes. The signature product, short rib meat 'cubes' (tacos) were tough, dry, and lacking of any flavor. The "Veggie" noodle dish was a bowl of lightly sauced (indistinguishable taste) noodles with a couple sprouts, 3 thin slices of red bell pepper and a dash of pickled cabbage.

Don't skip dessert!

By ryankento |

The Chef menu at Best Friend really feels like Roy setting you down and cooking a family meal for you. Tons of components, and tons of food, honestly. Save room for desert, because the Date cake was one of the best cakes I've ever had.

NOT AS GOOD ANYMORE????

By gfamfor4 |

We visit Vegas between 8-10 times a year. We've been going to Best Friend for years in Las Vegas. The reason is the vibe and the customer service and of course the food. The past few times we ended just sitting in the bar area because of the demand in reservations. The food comes fast and the service was great. This last President's Day weekend we reserved a table, for me, customer service sets the tone, when we went to the host to let them know we have reservations....I don't know, there was know greeting, no smiles, (like well, another customer). There was several tables that was a good size and they put us on the smallest table, we usually order several items + drinks and we where struggling to have the food not to fall off our table, the waiter was monotone just like the hosts. Maybe this place is "getting too big for their britches," Not a very good experience at all, we might have to find another "go to" restaurant in Vegas.

Slow service cold food.

By shenain p |

Customer service is okay… I mean they said they’d re heat my food… no thanks it should arrive cold… also, at that price I do not want meat re heated… didn’t offer it fresh and new. Apart from that the taste was really good but the service was slow. Meh it’s good but not for the cost

Best food in Vegas

By Bryce S |

This was the best meal we had in Vegas! Everything we ordered was perfect!! We did the grilled meat trio, kimchi fried rice and one of the appetizers (slipping my mind) but the food was delicious! ❤️ helpful and friendly staff, cool environment, we will definitely be back!

One of the best restaurants in the world.

By Al Q |

Easily one of the 10 best restaurants in the world. Have eaten all over the world and I still come back here every chance I get. You can try 10 different dishes and all are delicious and different flavors.

Disappointed

By Debra R |

I probably had too high of an expectation for my meal. My friend and I had the Chef’s Menu. Perhaps because we are both Asians and live in an area with readily available Asian food, I can only say the food was mediocre. There were inly three items in the banchan with the cucumbers bring the best. The tacos were good but extraordinary. The slippery shrimp was alot of batter and not very big shrimp. The kalbi ribs were okay but tough. The kimchi fried rice was not fried from what I could tell, maybe because the runny egg made it so creamy instead. The mango cheesecake was not our favorite. We both did like the garlic chicken the best. On word of caution to thise on a low sodium diet. This dinner was packed with salt!

Customer service is King.

By John S |

Our first time here, but have been to many of the trucks in LA and OC. Once we were seated the hostess didn't communicate with the server that we were in his section. We sat for about 5 minutes as multiple servers walked by our table looking at us wondering why we probably didn't have any food or drinks. Once the manager walked by and asked us if our server had been by, that was quickly corrected. The waiter and manager arrived at our table with their delicious rolls and free bahn chan. Both the manager and the server were very apologetic. The food and cocktails were delivered quickly. Overall it was a great experience, both the food and the drinks were on point and when I'm in Vegas I will be back.

Very enjoyable......

By Jami P |

As I write this review from four months ago, I realize that while I enjoyed my visit to Best Friend, I do not remember much about it. The food was good, the service was fine......but

Amazing Food!

By Crystal T |

We were recently in Vegas for a week on our honeymoon and had THE BEST experience here. In our opinion the best food that we had, hands down, during our stay. So much that we ended up eating dinner here for our last three nights. It’s difficult to get a reservation but we were always able to sit down in the front area without issue. Two of the nights we did the chefs menu and loved everything on it. The Kalbi had me literally sucking all the meat off the bone, it was so delicious. And I would eat the Medjool date cake every day of my life if I could. Go there. Do the chefs menu. You won’t be disappointed.

So loud! They should have a grab bowl of earplugs available as you walk in.

By MOnZOnK |

We were here on a Saturday night and it was sooo loud. I don’t know if every night is like this, but it was so loud it hurt my ears and gave me a headache. If I were going to a concert I would know to bring ear plugs, but I didn’t think I would need ear plugs at dinner. Food itself was pretty good. We had the tasting menu because I didn’t have the patience to review the menu and pick out things that sounded interesting to me (again, because it was sooo loud.) Shrimp was still crispy underneath all that sauce. Husband thought everything was over sauced. It was an easy food option since we were staying in the hotel (Park MGM) but otherwise I would not say this was worth a trip to come here. (Edo Gastro Tapas, on the other hand, was a different story and I would come back for that food. This, not so much.)

I WANT TO BE BEST FRIENDS WITH ROY CHOI

AMAZING ATMOSPHERE, FOOD, MUSIC, WILL GO AGAIN! WE ORDERED CHICKEN WINGS/PICKLED VEGGIES/BULGOGI/TOFFEE DESSERT/

Unique setting, great food

By Karen F |

Great food in a unique setting. We enjoyed the vibe, service and chef’s menu. Service was quick, friendly and efficient.

Club vibes

By FinTraveller85 |

I walked in the restaurant and found a seating in the bar which I like when traveling alone. The waiting time for food was at the minimum even it was quite busy night (8:30pm) I had a very nice bartender serving for me and I browsed through the menu and picked the tacos and a cocktail. The atmosphere was nice. There were lots of people around, dj playing music. Like sort of club vibes which I like. The tacos arrived quickly and the lemonade I ordered was HUGE. The food was great. I would go again to this restaurant in a heartbeat.

Amazing

By littleabe212 |

This was some of the best food I have ever ate! We went on a Monday and did the all you can eat and was well worth the bottom line. We had so many great dishes, Lamb lollipops, lobster, kimchi, kimchi rice and many more Korean dishes. This is a must eat when in Vegas!!!! Staff was stupendous!!

What an Absolute Hilarious Theme Back By Great Food

By Brian F |

This place is a TRIP. My wife really thought it was a grocery/liquor store. That's how real it is! It's Funny, there are barstools amidst a fake grocery store. In the back it's a restaurant. And the food is AMAZING. Korean BBQ. Everything was so tasty. Shrimp, rib-eye, sweet rolls, I loved the place. If you're in the mood for Asian food and want a fun experience, this is the place in the gorgeous Park MGM.

Overpriced, mainly fat

By Angie H |

The food was horrible and way overpriced. You're paying for the brand only! Not even willing to give it a second chance. I didn't see anyone looking like they enjoyed it. Zero clean plates

Dinner at the bar

By Joshua M |

We sat at the bar for this one. The bartender took the order and he was very kind and spoke Spanish so it was nice. The Korean beef tacos were so good. The breaded shrimp was the best of all(I forgot the name) and the kimchi rice was cool

Good food!

By boymomdfw |

This restaurant has good food but overpriced. We tried a lot of different items everything was good! The ribeye was cooked perfectly. The chicken wings were not the usual sauce type. They were more dry rub type. But larger than normal wings. Kimchee fried rice was good. Tacos tasty! Good experience overall. Food doesn't come out all together.

Food was great but we couldn't wait to get away from the music

By Susan S |

We had the BBQ pork and veggie noodles and they were fantastic. Also enjoyed the enhanced hawaiian rolls. BUT the music was way too loud and we did not appreciate the foul language in the majority of the songs. Thankfully, service was extra fast! Is it possible to have just a day/timeframe where the music is different and lowered? Maybe 5-6:30 for those of us over 50? We enjoyed the food but would never come back to the dining room. Maybe we would do takeout if that's the only option. But, you should really consider a quiet hour/day.

Cool place

By Climber45085513626 |

Popped in after we checked in to a hotel for a late night snack. Drinks were delicious and the Korean wings and the tacos were delicious. Nice menu very cool atmosphere.

Tacos good, other dishes inedibly salty

By Diana T |

Ive eaten for years at Roy Choi's brick and mortar kogi taco. I came here excited and left disappointed. Ordered a pork belly hotpot and a kimchi carbonara, both were so salty and virtually flavorless it was like saltwater, I actually sent it back and this was the first time ive ever done that in a restaurant. Ended up getting some korean tacos which were fine and a banchan sampler which mind you is usually free in most Korean restaurants. The watermelon mixed drink was also very tasty. Unless you're coming for the famous tacos which are amazing, there are better Korean restaurants in Vegas for a cheaper price.

Would NOT recommend dining here. Good branding BAD food

By ess |

Absolutely horrendous food which was way too salty. The music is so loud you can’t talk to the person sat next to you. So dark you can barely see the food. The front section of the restaurant is fun but a very unenjoyable dining experience.

Worth the wait!!

By Sam S |

Absolutely PHENOMENAL meal. I went with several business colleagues, and we chose the Chef’s Tasting menu. There was more than enough food for all of us, and each new dish was even better than the last, and that’s saying a lot considering that the first round (an assortment of banchan dishes and delectably fluffy rolls) was already top-tier food! By the time we got to desserts I think all of us had said a record number of wows and yums! The peach soju was also delicious! The earliest reservation I could get was at 10pm, but now I see why! Every single one of my colleagues said it was absolutely worth having to wait that late to get the chance to eat there.

Awesome LA Street Food Fushion

By Brenda L |

Friday Night 11/19/21 10:30pm $$$ Restrooms located inside restaurant. Best Friend is located in Park MGM. I reserved a month in advanced to only get a 10:30pm reservation, so book EARLY. I love the ambiance, but be warned, the restaurant has a loud DJ with a Korea Town club vibe which I love as I grew up in the Hollywood area and frequent Korea Town. I wouldn't say this is a cozy intimate restaurant....but it brings a lot of energy and a definite for a large party of friends. We have been to all of Roy Choi's Restaurants ( Commissary, A-Frame & Local), for the exception of Local in Oakland. It all began when I first tasted his Kogi Truck. Roy Choi can be seen in the restaurant and is very involved in the kitchen and his dining room. This is definitely a plus! We opted for the Chef's Menu that had a bit of everything, but I will definitely have to sample both his LA and Las Vegas menu. The Chef menu is pretty large, so go there hungry. 1. Banchan was a collection of Kimchi and side dishes that I thought to be very tasty and reminded me of a traditional Korean BBQ in LA. 2. Slippery Shrimp was amazing. A hint of heat and crunch makes this dish a must try. An explosion of flavor. 3. The original Kogi Taco was the reason I love the flavor of Roy Choi. You have to try this fushion Plus! 4. The Kalbi and Garlic Chicken is served together and if you love Korean BBQ, this hits the spot. One of the best I have tasted. 5. The Kimchi rice was also another hit. A fushion style rice that paired well with the Kalbi. 6. The Mango Cheesecake was not a traditional Cheesecake. It was served as a sphere with a delicious Mando filling. The pic I have was taken as "togo" as I didn't have room to eat dessert at the restaurant. If you are visiting Las Vegas, try this restaurant to preview the LA Street Food Fusion Scene. You will not be disappointed. You can also order from their Las Vegas menu if you want to sample his high end dishes.

Super FUN Dining Experience!

By LesleyMoP |

While the food was good, the experience was GREAT! We took our 13 and 10 year old children to Best Friend for dinner while in Vegas for Spring Break! We all loved it! From the dj playing the latest tunes to the servers in their track suits to the fun decor, it was a GREAT experience! We'll be back in Vegas in February for business and Best Friend will be at the TOP of my list for a FUN dining experience!

Midt i Las Vegas

By Rikke F |

Las Vegas is unbeatable in terms of finding a good place to eat. Maybe you just don't go to Vegas to eat well? The atmosphere of the place is funny. The food we were served was well prepared. But somehow there was just too much VEGAS over it.

Great food with a good vibe but surly staff

By Fluffypolite |

Really enjoyed our meal at Best Friend. We chose the slippery shrimp, spicy pork and a side of zucchini between two which was more than enough (we will be having the rest of the pork for lunch today). The food was delicious and reasonably priced given some of the prices that are charged in Vegas. The restaurant has been designed so there’s lots to look at and thee was a good DJ set that added to the relaxed but fun atmosphere. My only complaint was the staff. The lady at the check in desk was nothing short of surly and even though we had told them in advance that it was our anniversary they put us on the table in the back corner next to the toilets which meant that one of us just had a view of the toilets which meant door all night. Given there were only 2 restrooms for the whole restaurant this meant that we had a constant queue of spectators standing right by us for the duration of our meal - which became quite funny after a while because you don’t go to a restaurant like this if you want a romantic tete a tete in any event. Our waiter was also unfriendly. I told him that we were really enjoying our food and he said “ I don’t know if you’re expecting a response to that but I know it’s your anniversary” - quite simply very odd. So it’s a 5 star review for the food and the vibe and a 3 for the people. A good evening - would definitely recommend.

Casual dinning and great dishes

By SC1991515 |

Great food. All dishes come out when they are ready and designed to be shared on the table. We had the fried chicken, beef tacos, kimchi fried rice, slippery shrimp and street corn. All were delicious and enough for two people. Definitely a must visit when in Vegas.

ROY! DAMN IT! We planned a whole Vegas trip for your restaurant month n a half in advance. What's up Jon Favreau..It SUCKED!

By rocksean |

SO DISSAPOINTED!! I booked these reservations 2 months ago. I just gave away JULY 4TH 8PM reservations! That's how bad it was last night! SUCKED! Roy!! Damn it! Dynamite Rice with Salmon Eggs, spice mayo (got it) COME ON ROY. The Kalbi Ribs(Weak)..I'm better off eating from a drive thru!. The store front and intro to the sit down was very cool, but again the music was bloody ear canals loud. Service was on point. Looked GREAT...n the the food SUCKED! John Favreau "No-Way!" Just throw everything on raw white onions...they'll eat it..Dude!?

Bad Experience

By Gina K |

Very bad experience with their booking. I made reservations months in advance and they text me the day of my reservation saying they are closing early for the F1 race and they still charged me the reservation fee. The manager was not willing to work with me. I'm so disappointed in how they handled the situation. If I had known they were going to close early that night I would not have made those reservations. How is it that they can make changes within 24 hours but I can't?

Mmmmm not good

By Strach |

Not impressed despite all the good reviews. Ordered wings and got a deep fried mound of grossness that were still a little pink. Was expecting the traditional Korean type wings . Not sure what that was.

Mixed bag !

By stephespinoza |

Cool looking place - casual and funky. our friends had been before and encouraged our visit. I’ll keep it short- the food we received was Good. But one of the four of us never got our dish - the bbq plate - and we were mostly done eating before the waiter decided he should do something ! we were offered the plate for free however, since everyone had completed eating, we declined. It seems like a comp of a cocktail or something else would’ve been in order. I had kimchi fried rice and it was quite good - perfect spice. Our friends had the whole fish and the shrimp. My husband noticed one table is very close to the bathrooms and the diners at that table were watching people lining up to use the toilet. Gross? yea, gross. So overall a mix of really bad and quite good. I’m not sure what to make of it …

Fabulous on so many levels

By Vickie S |

We made Christmas eve dinner reservations here back in October. Upon arrival, we wanted to adjust our time earlier. The host was very accommodating. The service was attentive but not too much. The food was amazing! We got the beef rib tacos and the street corn (the fav of the whole table). The shrimp was good too. Will definitely come back.

Save your time and money, go somewhere else

By David B |

Literally a terrible experience from start to finish. The hostess was short with us and rude (we had a reservation, made no special requests, and were 15 mins early). We were seated at the bar next to a party of 1 (important for reference). My wife and I both ordered the chefs tasting menu, which was delivered to us “family style”. This became an issue when we realized the man next to us also ordered the tasting menu, and as our plates came, we were all given the exact same amount of food. My wife and I both noticed, but were trying to not be irritated, until it came time for dessert. The man ordered the strawberry cheesecake, which on arrival , looked great. When it was our turn to order dessert, we were told that we could only get 1, to share between the 2 of us….excuse me? We both payed $69, why are we to share a dessert? The man next to us didn’t get half of a dessert? We felt as though we were absolutely robbed of $69, and were left speechless. On top of the legitimately fraudulent portions, the food was FAR below what I would expect for the location/price point. 100% go elsewhere, this was a HUGE letdown.

Order the spicy pork!

By tropical_art |

The trouble with Vegas is that it's easy to go overboard- even with one meal. We had booked Best Fried for dinner. Earlier in the day, we went to the Wynn Buffet for lunch. I was almost tempted to cancel our reservation for Best Friend because we were still satiated from lunch. I'm glad that I didn't. We ordered the spicy pork, lumpia, and kogi short rib tacos. The spicy pork was so good. Reminded me of some dishes I had in Korea. The tacos were also really good - although I think the meat could have been more tender. The vibe was hilarious - feels like a party. If you are sensitive to loud music, this place might not be for you. I also got a kick out of the super-sized red solo cups for the sodas and other drinks. The actual restaurant is in the back. It is not just the front grocery store area. Definitely a meal to remember!

LOUD music, just ok food

By Dan7667 |

LOUD rap music is not my thing when I'm trying to enjoy a dinner. Waiter was way to casual, not just in the way he dressed, but his attitude. Food was just ok, nothing great. Korean wings not good, short rib tacos were pretty good, garlic chicken was dry and tasteless, eggplant dish was just weird and inedible. I would not go back

Best Friends Las Vegas

By Venture712242 |

The food was good but, the prices were very high at $75 per person for the pre fix meal. The dessert that was served at the end was very minimal for 5 people. Service was very efficient.

Great vibes & great food

By EatDrinkRepeat |

80's/90's Korean LA vibes right when you walk in. Sat at the bar bc we forgot to make reservations - great ramen, street corn, marinated cucumbers, and music.

Korey=Worst server ever!

By lisa j |

Our waiter Korey wandered aimlessly thru the restaurant, never checking on us or refilling drinks. He was so bad that even though we like coming here, I doubt we will return. Thirsty in the desert is no way to be.

Not a false note or flavor in the whole experience!

By SZPT |

Not a false note or flavor in the whole experience! Every course was amazing. Even the drinks were on point and seemed to be crafted with a chef's touch. Our server and all the staff were amazing. Not our first time and it definitely won't be our last.

Wonderful meal, full of great flavors

By WahooHoward |

Had the chef menu, which provided a sampling of "greatest hits" at a reasonable price considering how many different dishes we had. Everything was delicious, and inventive, and varied from mild to pretty spicy.

Best Food and Service

By bigafan |

This is a must-experience, but you do need to make a reservation! The food, the atmosphere, and the service are always spot-on. This was our third time going and we can't wait to go back in March!

Cool Place!

By Ozlandman |

First time here and not the last. Roy hit the nail on the head with this place! Our server was great! Our food was awesome! The atmosphere was cool! Roy was even around checking on tables! Grabbed a Hennessey and Cola on our way out!! :)

VEGAS Dinner

By krissacramer |

We tried to get in to Best Friend 1 year ago as a drop in without any luck, so with a little plan ahead, reservations were made. The Chefs Menu was the way to go other than it’s WAY too much food! The tacos, slippery shrimp, kimchi fried rice, and BBQ were ALL great! The DJ was mound, but not TOO loud. It’s Vegas people! By far my favorite Vegas dining experience after our 4 days. Best Friend is a must try!

Great food

By GSP_Mom |

This place was very busy on a Monday night. Line at the door at opening. Fortunately I got a seat at the bar. Service was ok- not bad, not stellar. Ordered the short rib tacos and kimchi fried rice. Both delicious. Only water to drink. Atmosphere is a tad loud with music but enjoyable. I would definitely recommend and will go again!!

Overrated

By Kaagie |

Together with me I had dinner here tonight. You can book in advance, definitely do. Please note their cancellation policy! We were warmly welcomed and brought to our table. The service was also fine. We had the tacos, birria ramen, kimchi fried rice and the banchan sampler. We couldn't eat everything. The food itself was okay. Bit overrated. If you have a (rental) car of your own, I would eat somewhere off the strip. Are plenty of other options that are better.

The best chicken in the world!

By Duane De Laurentiis |

The place is very trendy and very noisy, the welcome detestable. But the food is absolutely fantastic, every dish was a treat, an explosion of flavor. The chicken was without a doubt the best chicken I have ever eaten!

Great meal , cool vibe

By Jonathan S |

Really loved the vibe and the food here. Everything was very good, especially the slippery shrimp, tacos, mango cheesecake and date dessert. We did the fixed menu for a large group, next time we would order individual dishes but other than that everything was great.

Would not recommend, food was mediocre

By CanadianAsh1234 |

We ordered the set menu x2 which had HUGE portions. I found the kimchi rice, kalbi and chicken were all so-so. The starter fried shrimp was delicious, it was the best dish of the meal. The strawberry dessert was not to my liking. Service was terrible, probably the worst service of our trip. Our waiter did not check on us other than to take our order and give us our bill. All the other staff was great though other than our waiter. We saw him chatting with the front staff the entire time. I would not return or recommend this restaurant.

Good food but impossible to have a conversation

By Dorset_Solo_traveller |

I ate here on my own one night during my stay as friends had recommended the food. It is Korean barbecue and the chicken wings I had were excellent - I was not that hungry so just ordered these. They arrived coated in a crispy, salty, flavoured coating, perfectly cooked. They were quite spicy but they were accompanied by sweet chilli sauce if I had wanted to spice them up a bit.

The service was good and the restaurant is very funky. Acknowledging that I am not their target demographic which I guess is young hipster adults, the one annoying thing about the restaurant was the noise level. They have an in-house DJ who had the volume turned up to 11. Looking at the diners around me they appeared to be having the same difficulty that I was having hearing each other. I did like the food but would probably not return because of the noise.

Vibey dinner spot, def check it out!

By Sean Gordon |

This place is a VIBE - really fun dinner spot! Awesome drinks (get the tower!), delicious fusion foods (such a treat!), phenomenal energy/vibe/atmosphere (great DJ and servers in the matching track suits!!). Highly recommend, will be back, keep on keeping on!! Roy Choi’s Best Friend is an indelible mash-up of bodega, bar and restaurant, serving Chef Roy’s greatest hits and more from his famous LA food truck, Kogi to his restaurants and other ventures. 📍Las Vegas, NV 🎰 #BestFriendVegas #Vegas #CleanPlateClurb

Pretty Good Friend.

By Masontravel |

This is a pretty trendy place for a family from Ohio. Three of us. DJ playing music and a full restaurant. The menu can be daunting but really can’t go wrong. We ordered three main entrees and a side sample. So much food. Too much food. But that’s a good problem. It’s family style so everyone has a chance to try everything. The service was a little lacking but not enough to bring it down to four stars.

Delicious and fun

By katrajo |

My husband said this dinner is top 5 ever. Our server was very helpful in guiding us on portion sizes and dishes that went well together. We had the street tacos, grilled garlic chicken and kimchi rice. Such a delicious fusion of Korean and Mexican flavors. And the vibe is hip and feels authentic and unique. The music is loud 90s hip hop (which we loved) but just an FYI if you are seeking a quieter location. We had a blast - and it will be a must stop when we return to Vegas.

Roy Choi SHOULD be your best friend with food like this!

By Christine L |

My husband and I ate here during our last trip to Vegas, and then when we got home we made reservations to eat here again for our next trip. We had the chef's menu and everything was incredible. Looking forward to another meal soon!

Good food, great atmosphere, overpriced drinks.

By Aidan O |

Really enjoyed the atmosphere of this restaurant. Very cool and you wouldn’t know you were in the bowels of a casino. Service was great, friendly and professional with plenty of advice on how much to order with no upselling. Out of the food with ordered the more Korean style food was definitely better. The spicy pork in particular was amazing and is a must order. The only negative is that the drinks are overpriced for what you get.

Best meal of my life

By Kevin B |

Their chef menu is only 60 bucks and rivals any tasting menu on the strip for a third of the cost. It was enough for two people. The best rice I have ever eaten. So moist and flavorful with a hint of kimchi. Perfectly over easy egg on top made this the creamiest rice ever. You also get a pound of rock shrimp in delicious chili sauce. The other tastings are Korean short ribs, chicken, a street taco, and assortment of vegetables. Lastly the date cake was insanely flavorful. Kind of like a rum cake on steroids with a delicious salted caramel ice cream and sauce. The best meal of my entire life. Friendly staff.

Loud music and bad service however good food.

By Eirikur H |

There was a DJ playing music the night we were dining, and we asked if the music could be turned down, but the waiter replied he could do anything about it. The waiter then walked over what we thought was some kind of manager and probably told him about our complaint, but nothing happened. We know we are in Vegas, and there is supposed to be a fun/party vibe. However, the music was as loud as in a club. Also, when we arrived at the restaurant, the person who was at the reception of the restaurant and showed us to our table was really rude to us when we did not follow her to the table because we did not hear what she said because of the loud music. Other than the service the food was great.

Great food

By Heidi W |

I liked this restaurant so much that I went twice in a four day trip. The kimchi fried rice was delicious, as were the slippery shrimp. But, my favorite was the banchan. Each dish was different and all were delicious. If you like veggies, order the sampler where you can try them all. On my first visit, I declined the server’s drink recommendation and didn’t like my drink much. I took staff’s recommendations on my second visit and really enjoyed the watermelon drink.

A must visit whilst in vegas

By AjoyLeeds |

From entering the excellently designed venue every element of this dining experience was unbelievably brilliant. The staff courteous and fun, the DJ absolutely banging, the food OMG and the drinks … wow. Some really stand out dishes (we had the tasting menu) were the kimchi fried rice and the tacos. If you are in town this is a must visit. 5 stars

Too Loud

By First L |

Food was good but the music was just oppressively loud making it difficult to talk or even pay attention to what we were eating. It was a relief to get out.

Roy Choi fusion does not disappoint

By BonnOnVacation |

We were intrigued by Roy Choi’s Korean-Mexican fusion menu. It did not disappoint. All the flavors were delicious. Especially the Korean short ribs and the Mexican street corn. Don’t miss the banchan options. We loved the kimchi seasoned daikons. Make a reservation. This place is popular.

One and done for me!

By 385brendae |

Place was jumping! Loud music, live DJ. People seemed to be enjoying themselves. Food was ok. We had salad, short rib tacos, fried chicken and some rice dish with roe and urchin. Food is served family style so they bring out when each dish is ready. Short rib tacos were my favorite. Meat was too overcooked for my liking but may just be the cooking style. Husband loved the fried chicken and daughter loved the rice. Glad I tried it, but I don’t care to have again. Server was great!

Fun and Delicious

By Brendan |

Went to Best Friend in Park MGM over a weekend trip, and it was a fantastic choice. The vibe is upbeat and fun, and the service was good, even though it was very busy. The food was exceptional, highly recommend the Korean Wings for an app. The Hot Pot was fantastic and spicy, the ribs were fall off the bone, and the tacos were also delicious. The Orange Dream Boozy Slushy was the best drink I had in Vegas during the trip. Highly recommend this for a more unique dining experience in Vegas.

Best Friend, Best Meal

By PauloDN |

1st dinner after our wedding the previous day. Outshined expectations. Knew Chef Choi from TV and social media, so glad I made it a priority to go. Every dish (had the chef's sampler) was superb. Server/manager Danny is a fantastic employee and super friendly. Customer service clearly a priority, he made us feel welcome, allowed us to tweak the choices of foods. The famous Kogi tacos were spot on as were the kimchi fried rice. Date cake as a dessert was great. I enjoy baking myself and can appreciate all of the details that went into the layers of flavor in each dish. Cannot wait to go back. PS Give Danny a raise. He deserves it.
