We loved our first visit and will dry e back! The waiters and bartenders were great! The food was delicious and the nitrogen margaritas are amazing!

Clearly the hottest incubator property ever at Trinity Groves. Outstanding queso...tortas, enchiladas also were a hit. Several large groups were there and were having a wild time. The "Son" in the name came out and bussed our dishes and introduced himself...could not have had a better experience...Try the bar if the wait is long.

I was so happy with my first visit to Beto & Son - can't wait to go back! The atmosphere is trendy and fun, the service was top-notch, and the food was excellent! I had Tacos Al Pastor (shredded pork) and my companion had Chicken Quesadillas - both were delicious. I think the quesadillas were my favorite and there was plenty to share and take home. Don't miss the churros for dessert - they melt in your mouth! When I mentioned to the staff we were in a hurry, they accommodated us without sacrificing the experience at all. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We had chicken quesadillas and loaded nachos with a sangria margarita with mango balls and a mango patron with mango balls. The mango patron is made with lime juice so be aware of that and let your waiter know if you want more of a fruity taste. I definitely sent mines back to get mango flavor added. The food was really good and you get a good amount for the price. Three people ate off of the loaded nachos.

It was a quiet time for lunch midweek, but perfect for meeting friends. Despite the cavernous room, you could still have a conversation. I found the food portions pretty generous -- if not terribly hungry a shared portion would be plenty. I tried the tacos - one chicken and one beef, and there was more than enough for me. Pretty flavorful, but not that memorable. Maybe I just like spicy and should have added or requested spicy peppers. I got the vegetables instead of rice or beans (which they are more known for) as a side, and I do not recommend. It wasn't bad, but very bland and not at all yummy. The service was prompt and jovial friendly. I'd give 'em another shot!

Has a great dinner here the other night. The service was fantastic even though the place was packed, almost every table taken. The food was great and highly recommend the “chicurones and queso”. The drinks were good and fun to watch them Make the nitrogen cocktails. Make sure to stroll across the bridge after dinner.

I've been here several times already since they opened and every visit has been a great experience. They have more interesting dishes than your normal Tex-Mex! Everything me or my friends have ordered has been outstanding.

This was our first visit to Beto Son, and we absolutely loved it! Our host Jacob was vey gracious and helpful as was our waiter Bryan. The atmosphere was extremely welcoming, and we loved the décor. We’ll definitely be going back soon! Chris & Yolanda H.

The service was incredible slow, drink and chip refills had to be requested and the server recommended a drink that wasn't on the menu that was $25 each without telling the price before ordering. With so many amazing restaurants in DFW, we won't ever go back or recommend this one.

This was the worst lunch that I have ever had in a restaurant. I had their shrimp noodle bowl. This had a green dot by it on the menu which the waitress said indicated it was a popular dish. It reminded me of what a little kid would make for lunch. Spaghetti noodles with catsup on them.

Quarantine weekend one. We tried this place. They went out of their way to make sure everyone ordering take-out had a great experience. The torta and tacos were terrific; they were out of the half bottle of tequila that came with the margarita special, so they gave us a full bottle of a better brand for the same money. That's good business. Support these folks if you can. Awesome tortilla chips too!

Food at Beto & Son is amazing! Portion size is always more than what we can eat, so we get to take scrumptious leftovers home, too. Fajitas are fresh and chicken was tender and just the right spicy, with a little kick in the specialty fried onion strings 😋 Service was prompt and courteous, and the waitress even suggested a new ingredient to eat with our fajitas -- which topped them off perfectly. Mole and salsa were just right, spicy but not painful. Churros were the best we've had, especially dipped in the caramel and strawberry sauces. Great value for the $, family owned and run.

Had a late lunch (early dinner for wife & I) with our son and friends (group of six). Were seated outside and had two heaters placed near us. Wonderful food, excellent service! Highly recommend!

I was in Dallas on a business trip with some colleagues. We went to Beto and Son on a Monday night and it was about a 25 minute wait. That was not too bad but we sat at the table for over 30 minutes before anyone took our drink order. The server that did help us was great. The food was also good. The best chicken fajitas I’ve had.

My family took me to Beto & Son for my Birthday. If anyone is looking for a very nice and festive restaurant that serves some of the best Mexican/Latin cuisines, please try this place. The lights placed all around the interior and exterior gives the restaurant a very fun and festive ambiance that is really amazing. It is located on the strip in a very nice modern area of Trinity Groves. Their food is delicious! Their tacos are definitely something to try, I believe chef Bobby Flay would approve. They present and prepare their Frozen Magaritas and Freshly Made Guacamole while you dine. Their service was very kind and polite. Beto & Son is definitely a great place to enjoy a Birthday dinner or any meal with Family and Friends.

Joe made us Prickly Pear Nitrogen Margaritas table side that were to die for! He was an awesome server and we ate the Churros too that he recommended. They were delicious. I highly recommend!

This new Mexican restaurant stands out amongst the plethora of Mexican restaurants in the Dallas area and beyond. Delicious creative drinks, and even more creative dishes. Try the Pozole Rojo soup. Delicious. Don't ask me what's in it, but its wonderful. What you knew as tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas, has been uplifted, deconstructed, and reborn. We live in far north Dallas and will be schlepping down to the once dead Trinity Groves area often.

The margaritas on nitrogen are neat and something you should try once. Probably not something you would do again though. Be prepared to wait for them. We waited over 20 minutes because so many people had ordered them in front of us.

They serve brunch only on Sunday, but the brunch menu items can be made other times. Just ask. The tortas are amazing.

After traveling for ten hours we ~ especially my three teenagers ~ were starving! We decided on Beto & Son because it had something for everyone. Although they were really busy, we were seated right away. The chips and salsa were really good ~ we didn't love the queso, it tasted kind of like gas station nacho cheese. I ordered the Sopes Stacks and they were delicious! My daughter ordered the Roasted Carnitas Noodle Bowl and enjoyed it, although she picked out half of the pork and still said it had too much meat! My oldest ordered the Tenderloin Steak Tacos and loved them, and my youngest wanted to swap out the chicken in the chicken quesadilla for steak ~ they said no problem! They failed to mention that they would add $7.00 to it! So for one tortilla folded in half with just cheese and steak it cost $20!! All in all it was a good place to start our trip!

Went to Dallas on a quick weekend trip to see family and attend the State Fair on Saturday. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate, as it rained much of the day on Saturday. Changed out plans, hit some other spots, and had dinner here, based on my daughter's recommendation. Be aware that parking can be a challenge at Trinity Groves, as there is a high density of restaurants and bars in a small area. Suggest making reservations, if possible, for this restaurant. Crowd skews younger and more hipster. Both the food and service were outstanding. Recommend the table-made guacamole and any of the tacos or enchiladas. Great view of the downtown skyline from the exterior uncovered seating. Music and conversation in the interior part of the restaurant may be a bit loud for some people. Highly recommended!

My wife and I have been to Trinity Groves a number of times, but this was our first visit to Beto and Son. This was a very different Tex-Mex experience. They have a twist on each of their entrees and appetizers, but the twist is well worth the change in style. My wife had the Al Pastor Tacos (pork on a corn tortilla). They were first-rate. The tortilla was perfectly cooked, the sauce on the pork was great and it was topped with small chunks of fresh pineapple chunks. I had the Grilled Chicken Torta (a Tex-Mex sandwich) with Waffle Fries. The chicken was chopped, grilled and spiced just right. The Waffle Fries were thin and surprisingly crisp. They serve chips, salsa and a black bean hummus for a complimentary appetizer. Again, each of these dishes were uniquely prepared, but outstanding in taste. Looking at other tables around me, I might choose the Quesadillas or Stacked Enchiladas on our next visit. Both looked very appealing. The service was on par with a five star restaurant for our Saturday morning lunch. The portions were large and the price was about $40, including soft drinks, tax and tip. If you go on a weekend evening, then parking can be a challenge at Trinity Groves, but any other time and there is no problem. I love this place and I believe you will too.

Great service, nice menu Barbacoa nachos and table-side guac were excellent. For an extra $2 the tenderloin fajitas included the best beef I have ever had in a Mexican restaurant They add a 20% tip for parties of six which might be necessary sometimes to avoid getting stiffed. They incorrectly added it to the bill for our party of five, the waitstaff would have gotten more if they had not

If you don't like long wait times, parking craziness, and people everywhere....maybe try the Trinity Groves area during the week. We went on a weekend and it was crazy. Got lucky and got a parking spot close, otherwise across the street in the lot it would be. We decided on Beto for the mexican food option. There was a margarita setup outside to accommodate all the people waiting which helped, but there was also a line at the inside bar. Name taken, phone number given, wait time 45min. Their signature drink are made liquid nitrogen and I heard are delicious. However, the nitro is daily limited and when its gone its gone. The normal margaritas are very good and they put small fruit balls in them.. (think bobo tea but smaller). Once seated the staff was spot on and food came out pretty quick for being packed. The food was very tasty and in ample serving sizes. The only real drawback was the bathroom. Single room each for male and female and being a busy night...there was a LINE for the bathrooms. May be different during week, idk, but plan accordingly and keep an eye on the door. This area is the new hot spot for downtown activity. There are several different types of dining in this area all, with patio seating. It is also close to the Trinity Bridge which is walkable from side to side and has great views of the skyline.

Worst restaurant experience in my life. I have worked in hospitality for many years and I understand the hard work people in the industry do. However the manager and the staff that worked on 6/26 brunch time, provided the worst service I have ever seen, I will never go back or recommend this place and I advise everyone to stay away. Terrible way to address paying customers that are keeping them having a job. Never again

What a great experience as we had someone with us that had worked with Beto years ago. When he found out that she was there he came over to the table and introduced himself to all of us, and then has two appetizer dishes delivered to the table. The custom drinks and the meals were fantastic, Beto and Son far exceeded my expectations, my wife asked me to plan her next birthday party here. Thank you again Beto for a great meal and a fantastic service crew!

Late night dinner with friends. The food was very average. It was so average that I can hardly remember what I ordered. We shared some type of French fry app that I did not like at all. For my entrée I had steak tacos that were average. The salsa was lacking flavor. Would probably not come back here.

We really enjoyed the fresh approach, displayed in their menu and drinks at Beto & Son, in Trinity Groves! Their margaritas were wonderful, not overly sweet, a well balanced drink. If you want some fun order their "Nitro-margarita" a real delightful show... and the taste is just a bit different--really special and good -- it's a show stopper! The chips come with a good salsa, but also with a bean-hummus dip, you'll ask for more. The four of us were served with a unique variety of tacos (the salmon was especially tasty), and one of us ordered a Mexican pasta dish, with great tasting beef.... He said he'd definitely order it again! The atmosphere is lively, both inside and out (they have a great patio area for outside seating). Make reservations, this is a popular spot, especially on weekends and the dinner hours! We'll definitely dine here again soon!

They have these awesome fruit boba balls in their house margarita. Yum!!! Worth the drive from Frisco!!

If you are looking for good food, friendly service and a fun experience this is the place to visit. The food portions are big and delicious! Don’t forget to order a “nitrogen margarita”. It is delicious!

Stopped by to have a drink and appetizer. We had there ceviche tower. It was delicious. Fresh not overly spicy or acidic. It was the best I have ever had. The drink was mango margarita that was great with a great mango flavor.

We had dinner at Beto and Son while visiting Dallas. It was delicious. First of all they give you a couple of different salsas and cream with the chips when you get there. We ordered the street tacos and we were not disappointed. We also had margaritas which were equally as delicious. The service was good. Our waiter was very nice and gave us very prompt service. It also has a great location. After dinner we went for a walk on the bridge. It was only a couple of blocks down.

A trendy place, fancy margaritas and delicious food. Easy to access in Trinity Grooves. Will be nice to see the place continue in DFW area.

Love the patios at Trinity Groves! This Mexican Restaurant has lots of good choices and excellency salsa and chips ! I had the chicken enchiladas and my mother had the salmon tacos. Both were excellent ! Ask for the Serrano chili salsa , very spicy and very good! Excellent service! Our server said, just tell me what you want and we will fix it!!

I am pleased every time we come here. The wait staff so happy to be here and it shows in how they treat each customer. Chef Julian is a master at what he does and he has the best teams around him. The food is on point fresh and delicious. We try and always bring friend i from out of town wanting to experience a great Mexican experience with flair and we are never disappointed. Most of our friends say when i m back in Dallas take me back there..Oh and the Queso fundio is fab! Kudo's to the whole team.

I’ve been here twice now and enjoyed both visits. The table-side guacamole is delicious, but the Liquid Nitrogen Margaritas made table-side are unique! (The original house margaritas are great too.) I had tacos both time, but most of us ordered something different and everyone liked everything they got.

What a wonderful experiance we had last weekend, roughly new started back in December 2016 - owners are very personal and visible they will come and shake their hands (I love that)! The bean dip starter with the salsa and chips is amazing, the guacamole is to die for, we ordered the salmon torta and 3 tacos (the salmon, the tenderloin, the Carne asada) to die for!!!! The drinks are amazing we ordered the fireball tequila home made is to die for!!! Get as a shot or a Margarita!!! Also ask about their liquid nitro Margarita!!!! I was so impressed with this place and it's a definable come back for me and I so recommend it especially if you are visiting Dallas! The area is amazing and you can walk to the trinity bridge and take pictures of the Dallas sky line excellent location!!!!

First off, how I have not figured out that coffee and queso is an excellent combination is beyond me! Anyway, they've got THE BEST queso I've ever had. EVER. It's silky and warm and just amazing. Secondly, they've got THE BEST Asada tacos I've ever had as well. The meat is a perfect medium rare cook, with just enough char on the outside to provide excellent flavor. The sauces they put on them are excellent as well and they don't skimp on the meat in them at all! The tortillas are homemade with a lady in a side room making and pressing them right in front of you.... The tortillas are nothing short of heavenly. I ordered extra tortillas and sat there and ate them with queso! The street corn, however, is NOT street corn. They put too much crap in it. Street corn was made simply not complex and I think they just tried too hard. It was not good. The first day we went, my husband got the Shrimp Diablo Noodle Bowl and it was like a spicy version of tortilla soup, but with noodles and shrimp. Very very good. I ordered the mix any 3 tacos plate and ordered the Asada tacos (OMG), the barbacoa (not barbacoa - brisket, but still eh okay) and the Al Pastor (meh, pork was very dry). Out of all the tacos I kicked myself for not ordering 3 Asada. You've got to try them. They were so good in fact, that we returned again the next day for Sunday brunch just to eat asada tacos lol! Their coffee is amazing and so is the salsa, but they bring some type of bean dip stuff to the table... Don't eat that, it's yuck. Overall the food is amazing and came out in a timely manner! The service is very slow and seems a bit like lost puppies running around everywhere, but the food is totally worth enduring it. I highly recommend this place!

Guacamole was great and they did get it at close to my nacho delivery as promised. The liquid nitrogen margaritas were quite tasty (we had prickly pear which is just a juice they add on top). The barbacoda is much better than the chicken on the nachos. Portions are quite large.

Went with a group of colleagues on a Friday night. Made reservations for a large group - no problem. Service was exceptional. Not the food though. The food was out of this world perfect! That, plus a drink special with a nitro margarita made the night special! Can't wait to get back!!!

The place was nice, very simple, BUT we came for Nitro Margaritas- THEY WERE PERFECT!!! Definitely advise to get one. The girl serving them to us was professional. 20 min wait time for the table- not a big deal in my opinion.

If you are looking for a authentic Mexican cuisine, this is the right place to go. We ordered different dishes to share (party of 4) and it was hard to know which one was better. Great service (Kathryn was wonderful) and very nice atmosphere. Highly recommend!

You just try the nitrogen margarita. OMG what an experience. It's expensive but worth trying once. Take lots of pics.

Went on a Thursday night around 7pm and the place was packed. Good sign! Very young and fun crowd. Great atmosphere with great outside seating under a large roof. Wait staff was prompt and excellent. We ordered two different dishes, one my and one my wife. They both were average. There is really, really good mexican food in Dallas so competition is strong.

This restaurant has it all. Great menu with authentic Mexican that is prepared with care presented with pride and served with care. Prices are great for quality and portions. The place to go in Dallas

This is Mexican food with a twist and oh so good! We enjoyed the bean and pumpkin seed dip along with our chips and salsa and queso. The house margarita comes with popping boba. It is quite tasty! We highly recommend this restaurant. The place was packed and did not stop filling while we were there. The staff are great!

Have been to Beto & Son morning on several occasions and the service and quality of the food is consistently great. The atmosphere is festive and the shrimp salad is delicious. Recommend this restaurant next time you’re in Trinity Groves in Dallas

They do not treat people equally here. We were forced to leave at a certain time before we were seated. Another party was not told the same thing due to them forcing them to seat them, and because the hostess was intimidated by them per Sofia. The manager and Director of Operations made excuses and informed us the hostess made the mistake because she is young. The manager and Director of Operations, Sofia Martinez are unprofessional, argumentative, incompetent, and liars. I have never seen managers that argue with their customers and can't simply apologize for their wrongdoings. Their managers need training or need to be replaced. Avoid this restaurant.

Average TexMex experience. The drinks were tasty and the queso fondido was yummy. Staff was friendly and price was fair. Would go back but you don’t need to make this a special trip.

Mexican food is always the same, but when we walked into Beto the sign said "Next Generation Mexican". Sure, we thought. Thats what they all say. Well...I think this one actually is Next Gen Mex!. The tortilla soup was fantastic and the table side guac was amazing. This place is for real and if you love Mexican food you have to try Beto & Son. Pro Tips: -The Flameado for appetizer is excellent! as is the Table side Guac. -Dont just order fajitas here. The fajitas very good, but they are not one of their special dishes. Go for the adventurous stuff! -Tater tot Nachos are very different and cool. -Stacked burrito was great! _Noodle dishes are VERY unique for a Mexican place! -For something literally VERY COOL, try the liquid nitrogen Margarita! I hope this helps. If so, please give me a thumbs up! Davo

My wife and I took our daughters to the Trinity Groves area for an impromptu Saturday night. We were hoping to go to another restaurant that was closed. Although disappointed, we decided to check this place out since it was busier than any of the other options. Very happy we did. Their was a short wait, but they were efficient and sat us in a short time. The server was very informative and helpful, since we had not been their before. One of the young ladies with us was vegetarian and he assisted her with finding the right meal to meat her nutritional needs. We all ordered the noodle bowls, which is not something we are used to at a Mexican restaurant in Dallas. They were all fantastic almost like a Mexican Pho. We have not had a chance to get back by the area, but are always discussing heading back. It is a great area with indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of room for kids to play out of the way if you are bringing a family. The bar and food prices can be bit on the steep side, but that goes along with the area.

First disappointment: they were out of Coors Light. Second disappointment: the loaded nachos were made with shredded chicken, too little cheese, onion slices that were too large, and stale chips. Third disappointment: a new waiter (first week) who used our Debit Card and charged us the wrong tables tab. Took half an hour to straighten the mess out and it will take up to 5 days to get a credit on our account. First Pleasant surprise: the blanco quest was excellent. Second Pleasant Surprise: attentive service throughout the meal. Overall: thus is not Tex-Mex and doesn't pretend to be. For me, the meal was a disappointment. Unfortunately, I will not learn if other items are tasty because I will not be back.

Went to Beto's last night for the first time, I had heard from friends that it was way more than a Tex-mex place. First the top shelf margaritas were great and the table side preparation of the guacamole was excellent. We all had fajitas with both the chicken and prime excellent. The portions are large so sharing is a great option. If you like Mexican food this is a must try place.

...tableside-prepared nitrogen margaritas being stirred. They were very good, if not a bit challenging to drink, as they are closer to sorbet in texture. As a first-timer here, no regrets ordering one, but will probably just order a "normal" margarita next time ;) Our chicken enchiladas & shrimp diablo noodles were both excellent. Service was good. Appropriate covid protocols in place. They have both indoor & patio seating. Glad we stopped in.

We met friends for dinner. I bought the drinks at the bar...next time I'll be sure to ask prices first!!! 2 shots - $50!!!! not kidding The food was good, not great, but good. The service was excellent.

We love this restaurant! The food is great, the drinks are innovative and SO good, but most of all the people are amazing. The whole staff is attentive and upbeat. The smile and take great care of us! The nitrogen margarita is a MUST have experience. Not just really.cool, but also really tasty!

The atmosphere is really fun and lively!! Great music and friendly staff! Bartender who also served me dinner was lovely. I had the Chicken tortilla soup which was the BEST I've ever had!! I also had the chicken tinga sopes which were also very very good. One of the owners (Julian) came out to say hello and check on everything. Great dinner, will definitely go back!!

A friend recommended the restaurant and I am happy he did. Mexican food is a favorite and staple for me. I chip, and enchiladas were out of this world good! I cannot remember a time when I enjoyed an enchilada some much!

This place is pretty good...set up in a new part of an old part of Dallas. You should so check this restaurant out. The Nitro Margaritas being prepped at the tables is a show. If you like hot salsa...ask for the hot green salsa.

Simply another case of a Mexican restaurant in a trendy area trying to remake old classics into something fancy. Started with the Elote, wife had barbacoa tacos, I had the torta. All these options can be found outside just about any gas station taqueria for a whole lot less money and way more authentic and tasty. Being Mexican I've eaten lots of Mexican food from just about everywhere good and bad. This one definitely fall in the latter category. Not sure why Mexican food restaurants in trendy areas tend take this path. I consider myself somewhat of a foodie so I call BS on this place. It will take a whole lot more than chimichurri drizzled on waffle fries to earn a loyal following. Stick to the basics guys!!!

I work with the UTSW Graduate School, and part of our recruitment programming is hosting Thursday night dinners for our current students to take our visiting candidates to dinner in Dallas, and I've had the pleasure of partnering with Beto & Son for my three years in this role. This year (and each prior) the service and management team are communicative, professional, adhere to our financial policy guidelines, and provide exceptional service to our students and guests. This location is a fan favorite both from them and myself. I would like to give a shoutout to Daniela and the team for taking great care of our students and visitors, and for showing us another wonderful year of great food and hospitality. :)

This was my first time at Beto & Son. The atmosphere and food were amazing, and a highlight of our trip to Dallas. The black bean hummus and salsa that are served while you contemplate your order, are hands down to die for. I ordered their signature margarita (roughly $15USD), that uses an exclusively produced version of tequila, that is made for this restaurant. I found the drink tasted great, but was almost completely ice. Without exaggerating, the total liquid volume, I'd estimate to be less than 3 shots. I still dont regret the purchase, but given the small volume, I decided that one was enough. While waiting for our meals, the wait staff checked in often, but were always pushing for more drink purchases (after I had said that was my one drink). Once the meal came and after it was realized that no more drinks were being purchased, the wait staff disappeared, and avoided eye contact, and even appeared to ignore us. I ordered fajitas, which came as a generous amount of meat and toppings, but only 3 small tortillas. In order to attract the attention of the server, I had to hold the drink menu and point at drinks (appearing to be deciding) before any server would acknowledge us. It's a great restaurant, that I will go back to, but next time I'll leave my drink buying plans vague with the staff.

We have eaten here several times now and each time has been a memorable experience. The waitstaff is efficient and professional. The menu is wonderful, the food has been delicious, and the cocktails are really good. Speaking of cocktails, their signature cocktail is a Nitro-Margarita. It comes complete with a table-side show. Although the show is fun and the drink is good, it will cost you $18. We didn't know until the bill came and we were pretty shocked! We won't ever get one again, but it will be entertaining watching other people who order them, when they get their checks! We are thrilled with this restaurant, it is a great addition to the Trinity Groves family. I need to add that they have done well hiring waiters who are not only great waiters, but also very easy on the eyes. So far we and those we have dined with have tried about 12 different menu items, and all have been excellent.

Overpriced margaritas, and they got my order wrong. Food wasn't very good either. I am definitely not their target market. Pretty sure I won't be going back.

We have started going to Beto and Son every Friday. It's has a great atmosphere and the wait staff is really fun. They go out of their way to make the food interesting and different as to also do with the drinks. There is a big outdoor patio, so that has been really nice for people watching.

Excellent service, friendly staff and delicious food The tenderloin fajitas are outstanding as are the loaded nachos Wine list could use a rioja or two. The menu is missing some typical dishes like quesadillas enchiladas and burritos

I originally visited Trinity Groves with plans of dining at a different restaurant which is no longer in business there. Then I entered Beto and Son to glance over the menu. The aroma inside was such a welcoming distraction. I decided to give them a try. Paulo was our server and he was most attentive, accommodating, responsive and polite. The starter chips and salsa was great. I ordered the Green Chile Pork Enchiladas which were surprisingly more tasty than I could have ever imagined (and served with a sunny-side up egg on top!) I also ordered the Guacamology, fresh guacamole prepared right at table side. It was perfectly mixed (with a squeeze of orange and lime for flavor). I ordered hibiscus water as my beverage; I drank THREE glasses! It was tasty and our server explained that it helps manage cholesterol! The atmosphere in this place was perfect: all-around friendly staff, nice music, quiet, but welcoming atmosphere, cool decorum. I will definitely visit again and I would recommend this place to anyone with a taste for good Mexican food.

We enjoyed our meal (stuffed nachos, noodle bowls, cheese enchiladas) out on the covered patio. Service was excellent & unhurried, portions are large enough for two people (or 2 meals). Prices for lunch and dinner are the same price, so lunch prices are on the high side. There is more than enough seating inside & out & colorful “trees” strung with green lights bring fun & color inside while the patio is situated right next to ArtPark with all of its amenities & murals.

This resturant is at a place called Trinity Grove. Imagine a bunch of restaurants attached. The back side of the restaurants had this amazing courtyard. Check out the pictures with all the lights and picnic tables. The restaurants all Have indoor seating for each restaurant. Now on to Beto’s! They have a liquid nitrogen margarita! They doo this table side. Kinda pricey but really cool. They come out with chips, salsa, and an off the hook black bean hummus. Never had anything like this before. They do sell this by the quart. Wish I could have taken some home. Those darn airline rules. The Carne Asada taco had crunchy onions on top. These were probably the best Carne Asada tacos I have ever had. If you are anywhere near Dallas Love airport, make the drive! The service and staff were amazing.

They were very accommodating for us. We had a big group on a busy Sunday. Margaritas, chips & queso with guacamole were perfect for our extreme hunger. Fajitas and tacos filled us up the rest of the way. Although a little salty for our tastes. Parking was easy and afterwards we walked across the trinity river. What a great place for friends to meet up

I am very impressed with the atmosphere and flavors of the food at Beto. I'd give both of them five stars. Beto is located in Trinity Groves which is already a great atmosphere. All the restaurants have connected patio seating out front with interior seating in each place. The decor inside is kind of generic with a metal sculpture in the center with green lights. The windows looking out on the patio and mural on the right side creates the atmosphere. I really do love the food here. The free bean dip that comes with the chips and salsa is fantastic. The house-made tortilla's are super thin and fresh. The mexican poutine are masa rolled to the size of a french fry and fried. The queso fresco and egg on top create a wonderful dish. The stacked 12-hour barbacoa comes out looking like a stack of pancakes, but the flavors are spectacular. Everything we had was very good. The portions were large, so I would consider sharing dishes in the future. While I loved my food and experience, I would think twice about coming back. The bill for three of us was $100 with tip. It just adds up quickly.

Beto and Son serves delicious Shrimp Tacos with a festive atmosphere of bright lights at night. The salsa with fresh cilantro melts in your mouth as you dip with crispy chips.

I dined here with local friends. It has a strong Mexican influence. The menu choices are plentiful. The food quality is quite good. We mostly had the tacos and the fajitas. The chips and salsa are good; get some cheese queso. The margaritas are quite interesting; they add some sort of gelatin fruit beads to them. They also have a special margarita that is prepared at your table side(we did not order such). We ate outside on a nice evening so the atmosphere was pleasant. The service was good.

It was a Sunday, and we asked for a booth because it was three of us and I prefer a booth over a table anytime. The hostess told us that he couldn’t give us a booth because we were less than a party of 4. We all thought that was odd, but we said agreed and took a table. It was about 10 minutes later when the booth we wanted was filled with a party of 2. I didn’t understand why we were denied the booth and the other party was able to sit there. The waiter was great, friendly, polite, had a personality, and was pretty attentive. The food was good size portions, that allowed for leftovers; however, I believe they use a bit of salt, because all three of us left feeling quite bloated, and more than full. Overall, I would definitely try it again next time I am in town. I hope that the customer service or the policy will be enforced or removed.

We visited this restaurant over the weekend; had to wait a bit but it was well worth it. To start the chips and salsa were great with 2 types of salsa - one mild with an avocado flavor and one red salsa with a bit of a kick. They were featuring a special frozen margaretta that was made with liquid nitrogen; it was awesome with a very creamy flavor and texture and made with fresh ingredients - well worth the expense. The carnitas enchilada was also excellent and huge. It was a stacked enchilada versus a rolled enchilada. We also had one of the chili noodle bowls - awesome and again very large. The service by Skyler was excellent, he was very attentive and knowledgeable. We also had a nice visit to the table by one of the chefs - very nice touch. This is a great place and one that shouldn't be missed - give it a try.

Met my nephew in Trinity Groves for a late lunch on Sunday while he was in town with friends. I had been told that there are ususally more people at Beto & Son than the other restaurants and that was the case Sunday. We opted to wait about 10 mins for an indoor table. The customer service was very good and the host made sure we were aware of the wait and where we were in the process. I liked that they text you when your table is almost ready versus those clunky buzz things. This allows you to venture away from the restaurant and walk around the area. We ordered fajitas and they were good. I had chicken and noticed squash was added to the sizzling veggies. I would have liked to have had more because there were a heap of onions in addition to small fried onion rings/strips. I could do without all of those onions. The place was busy but the the staff kept it moving and maintained good service. There is a lot of seating inside and out with inside being kind of close so don't expect to have confidential conversations. The patio is pet-friendly. Larger groups tended to be outside and I saw very few little kids (actually not really sure I saw any at the restaurant). I imagine it is kid-friendly, I just did not notice any but since this was my first time there, not sure of the norm. They also have these nitrogen drinks which was fun to watch them make because of all of that goes into making them. I just stayed with my old standby - a mimosa. Overall if I were in the area, I would go back.

The title says it all. If you’re looking for overpriced mediocre Mexican food-look no further. Three tacos for $15, overpriced gimmick margaritas, and bland guacamole.

If you like chips and guacamole, then you have to start with the chef Beto's table side guacamology, freshly made right at your table. I had the 12 hour Barbacos tacos. My wife enjoyed the tortilla soup; the view of downtown Dallas was very good, it's on the west side.

We wanted to check out the Mexican food while we were in Dallas & my wife came across Beto & Son on yelp. When we got there there was a 1:45 wait & we thought about going somewhere else by the decided wait. I'm glad we waited & our experience was well worth it. There is a bar where you can grab a drink & they have live entertainment where you can dance but if you don't know how they'll teach you. When you get seated they make you feel welcome & the food service was outstanding with a short wait before the food arrives. after the first bite, we knew we made the right choice to wait. The portion of food was too much for us to eat in one sitting so they boxed them up & even gave us extra chips & salsa to go with us. We highly recommend Beto & Son to everyone & when we're back in Dallas it'll be our list to go back too.

Not your usual Mexican food. We had the Chile relleno pasta bowl. The stuffing was super tasty. The pepper was perfectly baked. Great service and super friendly service.

My first visit to Beto & Son was great. We had a group of 6, our service was great. The food was delicious. We had the table side guac and I had the Gulf of Mexico Ceviche Tower. Impressive presentation and very yummy. Today, we were there for lunch for 2. We were quickly brought chips and salsa. The chips are super thin and crispy--yummy. I ordered the Tower again. It was tasty although not as good as I remembered. Unfortunately, the manager had our food server at a table looking at a computer for most of our visit. We did get a refill on water from another food server. I had to flag down another server to get the check. I'm not sure what was so important for them to be glued to a laptop on a Saturday at 12:00 lunch when he had tables to attend. Not his fault, but I will think twice before going back.

All in All I would give this restaurant a good rating. Food was good, the overall experience is satisfying, and the service was good. I had the fajitas which were tender and delicious and two of my friends got the tacos which they said were very good. The only reason I wouldn’t give 5 stars is the quantity of the Queso you get for an app is not with $8, and my mojito was not that great. I would come back to this restaurant again however.

My wife Gloria recommended this restaurant. We were pleased with the service, the drinks and the food. The restaurant is in a nice area very close to downtown Dallas. Oh, the margaritas were dry good.

I took a friend of mine who was visiting from California and we had a great time sitting at the bar with our delicious margaritas and we shared the homemade tator tot loaded nachos! They were so yummy!!!

We ate here for lunch and everything was absolutely amazing. The stand-out item we ordered was the guacamole, which was prepared table-side. This was the best guac I have ever had in my whole life. We will never prepare ours at home the same way again. I also got the vegan tacos and they were superb. I would come here again in a heartbeat! Next time I want to try some of the signature drinks I saw being prepared. We will be back!

Came in on a Thursday afternoon and was seated within 5 minutes for a table of 9. Chips and salsa was excellent. So was queso and their ceviche. To be honest, they were all too good, that by the time our entrees came we weren't that hungry anymore. Personally, my noodle bowl was just okay. They used spaghetti noodle, which I was not expecting. A couple of people at our table got the fajitas, which was decent. Others got tacos, quesadillas and some other entrees. Two people got margaritas. Service was really good. Total, plus tip, came out to over $350. Not cheap.

We arrived at this upbeat contemporary dining location on a Saturday afternoon about 5pm. We were immediately seated by a pleasantly professional hostess. Almost immediately our server, Joe, greeted us and explained a little about the menu, the two "dipping sauces", and the menu options. Since this was our first time to visit Beto & Son, it was very helpful as we looked over the menu with options not typically found on a Mexican Eatery's Menu. We examined the many choices but discovered we were unsure any of the four of us would finish a single entrée. As we were discussing what we could share. Joe was there to save the day with some suggestions that would provide us the opportunity to sample a variety of meats and flavors distinct to the restaurant, that would fit our appetite: Chef Julian’s 10 Taco - Taco Board. Among the four of us we divided this delicious 10 Taco Combo. We finished our meal with a sampling of their three desserts: Flan, Charros, and Mexican Bread Pudding. Everything we put in our mouths was very enjoyable, the atmosphere was light and fun, but the highlight of our evening was our very personable and helpful server, Joe. Thank you , Joe. Because of you we will anticipate a return visit to this Trinity Groves establishment.

Some really nice unexpected Tex-Mex offerings at this place. We took advantage of the unusually warm February weather to sit out on the patio. I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered the stacked enchiladas, but I was glad I did. Think of it as a delicious Mexican lasagna. It was very dense, but so good I had to finish every bite. My table mate had a noodle bowl, think a pasta - fajita mash up, also terrific. Another star of the meal was the complimentary chips and dips. They offer table side guacamole and frozen Margaritas (we passed on both) which makes for some fun theater.

good food and very good waiter, We be back asap. I ate the ceviche and OMG it was fantastic and the regular margaritas one of the best.

Bertos is a a great not your run of the mill Mexican restaurant. Outstanding food and service in the Trinity Groves complex. The steak enchiladas were fantastic spiced perfectly and served with a fried egg on top. Great place enjoy it.

The food and service was so great!! Ate here with my girlfriend and her friend and we all enjoyed it. I am thankful to Jesus for such service oriented professionals. In the same way Jesus came to serve and give us life to the fullest I am grateful for the incredible service at Beto and Son. We met Beto and his wife, who were working so hard and care so much for their employees! Your staff professionalism, courtesy, and enthusiasm are a blessing to me and all your customers. Please know I wish I could note everyone's names. Here are the names who I have personally met and would like to recognize their excellent service: Server: Guillermo Manager: Juan Please recognize these employees for me since they are the reason I keep going back. Thank you all for your service and have a great week! Mark

Wish we had a larger group so we could try more of the offerings. The noodle bowls sounded interesting, but we went for the salmon tacos and the tenderloin tacos. Both were delicious. The chips were thin and warm; salsa and hummus for dipping were excellent. Biggest issue with trinity groves restaurants is parking - but there is valet.

We stopped here just to try their Nitro margaritas 🍹. It was a fun experience. The food was good, service was exceptional and they practiced social distancing and COVID-19 precautions. Overall, wonderful experience.

My friends and I decided we wanted to try Beto and Son and man are we glad we did. We all love Mexican food and this was just amazing. There is some nice twists or you could say personal touches to make their dishes unique to their family. The enchiladas were stacked and sooo good and the al Pastor tacos were just perfect. Delicious salsa and the bean dip was also tasty. I highly recommend this to locals and visitors!

We visited while we were in town for a trade show and we loved it. The food was delicious, the service was fantastic, and the atmosphere was fun. Apparently the only pictures I took were of my drink, but I would definitely eat here again if I’m ever back in Dallas.

Very nice place, they play Latin music. The food (recommendation of the barista) was not too bad. The Margarita drink made with nitrogen to give you the frozen texture was the best, for the show they do to make you drink. The atencionndejo much to be desired, do not ask if I wanted something more to eat, delaraon in giving me the letter of meals, the staff is not attentive, so the qualification, we must improve many aspects especially the order and cleanliness near the bathrooms . Otherwise well. Train the waiters in customer service

This was our second and LAST TIME eating at Beto and Son Trinity Grove! By far the WORST experience I have ever had at a restaurant and I do eat out enough. My husband and I went to True Kitchen + Kocktails downtown Dallas but wasn’t able to be seated due to needing a reservation so we went online to make reservations but they were booked until Next year. We decided to go to Beto and Son which was not a good idea. We decided to eat on the inside this time and noticed a couple bringing there food in from the outside but thought nothing of it. Well, after our food came we quickly knew why the couple came in. They were trying to get away from the flies but moving inside wasn’t any better. My husband and I started eating but every bit we took flies swarmed our food and drinks landing on it. We asked for the manager and told him the problem with the flies. Nobody wants to pay $70 for food and drinks with flies spitting in it. We asked for take outs but what I ordered would not be good if taken home (nachos). The manager didn’t want to give a discount and was very rude he even told my husband why give a discount and you’re taking the food with you. Far from a five star restaurant I can’t even give it one star because the manager is what makes the restaurant along with who he hires. Well, I left my food there because it wouldn’t be good after taking it home and all I would do is throw it away anyway. If you want to eat with flies than Beto and Son at Trinity Grove Dallas Tx. is the place to eat. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!

The frozen Margaritas with the Mango juice pearls are FAB!!! The stacked fajita salads are to die for. My husband makes the 45 mile drive to take out of town family to try this wonderful restaurant.

The second visit was just as nice food and service very consistent. First visit was me and my adult son on the patio great time great food great service. Next visit was the true test with my 9 year old picky son but the staff was very accommodating in making dishes kid friendly. He actually asked to come again and that’s a great sign. Great view of the city

Typically I have a favorite Mexican restaurant that is not amongst my overall favorites - that just changed with our visit to Beto & Son. First of all, we were greeted by "the Son" at the door and that was the beginning of a great service experience that lasted the whole evening. Our friend grew up in Mexico City and was impressed with the authentic flavors. He especially enjoyed his Michelada. The rest of us had fresh and well made Margaritas. Like most Mexican restaurants, we were served chips and salsa. The salsa was very good, but wait!! What is that yummy alternative they also brought? It was a hummus and black bean dip with a cilantro pesto- delicious. After eating too many chips with that dip, the four of us ordered. My wife had the salmon street tacos which she thoroughly enjoyed. The rest of us tried noodle bowls. Yes, noodle bowls. The Roasted carnitas bowl was listed as a specialty and it was special! Flavorful throughout with a fried egg on top. We were stuffed, but everything was so good we could not stop. We shared the Churros and the Flan. The churros were warm and delicious and the flan out of this world!!! It was the best flan ever! We all have a new favorite restaurant!!

The restaurant has a lot of outdoor seating and is located in a really cool compound of outdoor spaces, shops and restaurants. It is very overpriced and the food was just ok. We shared the fajitas and they were good but the rest if our table didn’t enjoy their food. We ordered a cheese enchilada for my 10 year old granddaughter and they brought out a $19 adult entree. When we questioned the bill they told us they didn’t serve a child sized enchilada. But that should have been communicated to us when we ordered. We had 2 kids and 4 adults and our bill was $184. They don’t serve cheese with any of their dishes yet their cheese items like quesadillas have so much cheese you can’t eat it. There are too many other places in Dallas to eat. I would pass this one by.

Best drinks in town and the chips and salsa is out of this world. Beto & Sons has outstanding service but get the early the word is out.

It rained for 6 days so when the sun came out I knew where we wanted to be! Outdoor dining at Trinity Grove with a view of the Dallas skyline. They make the most amazing margaritas table-side! The food is more Mexican than Tex mex so the flavors are very authentic. The blanco queso was awesome. The salsa was fresh and the lunch portions were large. Trinity Gove is a fun atmosphere and there is a park next door to walk off lunch!

Let's just start with: Hands down the best margaritas I've ever had. My party of 3 went on a Friday night, they weren't taking reservations only walk ins (I called earlier in the day to confirm). Once we got to the restaurant our wait time was 45 mins but it ended up being really 30 minutes and let me just say it was definitely worth the wait. The margaritas were the highlight of my experience at Beto & Son (for only $20 each). Loaded tachos, ceviche tower and tacos were all the things that made our dinner even more satisfying. When I visit Dallas again I will definitely be back.

Beware!!! The waitstaff likes to leave there own tips on your card. I was there a few nights ago and left a tip on the table. I checked my card and noticed $25 more was charged to my card. Food is not that great. Only thing good about this restaurant is the atmosphere.

Food was good; the Queso is the BEST I have ever had in any restaurant! Tableside Guac was good We checked in, my husband told the hostess "5" and showed them his hand "5", the hostess wrote down 9. NO, he told her, we have five - 5. Ok, she said.....50 minutes later, 3-4 other groups came in and were seated immediately that had parties of 5-6, we were still standing.......the hostess comes over and said "9" right? NO.....we have 5, so she almost panics.....she was trying to figure out what to do next. I finally went to talk to Beto's son to let him know the situation. He fixed it for us! We were then seated immediately :) For the mix up, he brought out 2 cups of queso (which was amazing!) and apologized for the mix-up. not a great first impression Food was good; service from our waiter was great! **Beware, the pico is HOT and on almost everything they serve.

The sour cream chicken enchiladas were ... sensational. Would recommend to everyone. Service was great, nice environment. But the best part was definitely the enchiladas.

Would totally recommend this restaurant for a fun night out as a couple or with a group. Everyone in our party enjoyed the food and we all will be coming back.

This place in in the busy Trinity Grove center. Lots of restaurants/bars and lots of people. Food and service were good despite being very busy on a Friday night. They have a bar with a selection of beer, but not the place to go if your looking for a wide selection of local craft beers. High energy (noise) level. A number of unique dishes. Reasonable priced too.

If you want to have a conversation with any one at your table, it will be hard at this place. If you have any concerns about anything that might not be right about your meal get ready to be laughed at!!

My bf and I decided to try this place on NYE. There was a wait but not that bad. We sat on the patio. The serve 2 salsa's which one is a green hummas dip. Not a fan at all. This is not your traditional Tex-Mex restaurant. The portions are small for what you pay for. I probably wont be back. The food is not that great.

Cannot say enough about the service we received from Jimmy! He was friendly, helpful, funny and very attentive. The service felt like we were at a high end restaurant. The menu is eclectic and it was hard to decide what to order. The bean dip that is served was favored by my boyfriend, not so much by me. I would prefer it if it were served warm. It did have good flavor and some of the ingredients were surprising for a Mexican place. You must visit and ask for yourself. The chips and salsa were good, a little more heat and less sweet salsa would be preferred by me. But i enjoyed several bowls of it regardless. I ordered a ceviche tower, which was beautiful to look at and tasty! The shrimp were perfect and there was plenty. Would have liked more avocado and less slaw but I would order this again on another warm summer day. Boyfriend absolutely loved the barbacoa tacos. He said they were possibly the best he had ever tasted. The tortilla was thin and a little crisp and he said added perfectly to the taco. We shared a frozen margarita with mango popping boba, which i love and made this an even more memorable experience. A hostess/manager came by to visit our table and check on us and we got to talking about the margaritas. She raved about a flavor, we asked for a sample and they delivered. They know how to bring people back with good service. We also shared the churros, which were more like a donut to me due to them not being so crisp. They were good, but I was not in the mood for all that dough so we ate one and took the rest home. Just overall a great experience and we cannot wait to go back. Prices are kind of high, but everything made it all worthwhile.

Very, Very good food and service. When you're from Arizona, it's tough getting excited about "Mexican / Southwestern" food - so we were suspect of "New Generation" Mexican. Beto & Son was a delightful surprise. We were visiting Trinity Groves as part of taking in the Hunt bridge and stopped for lunch. We had the absolutely delicious Salmon Tacos and a very tasty chicken fajitas noodle bowl. The Tortillas soup was a great starter. The homemade churros with strawberry and carmel sauce was amazing. Our server was very welcoming, attentive and did a great job of guiding us through everything Beto & Son had to offer. We did not partake, but watching a Nitrogen Margarita being prepared was wonderful entertainment.

Great atmosphere, wonderful service and fresh food - the guacamole was mixed right at the table!! You get a lot of food for your money - be prepared to share! Convenient location - a short ride from downtown. Would definitely come here again!

Came here for dinner on a Tuesday night. Food was good, not authentic Mexican but more like modern Mex with a twist. I am more into traditional plates but it wasn't bad. Just not up my alley. Margaritas were ok, service was ok, not great. Atmosphere was nice, very nicely decorated. Location and parking were really good with a nice outside decor and view.

Taco flight is fantastic! Nitro drinks refreshing and fun! Make your way down to Trinity Groves and experience the best!

Waited over an hour for a table for two. Several tables were available but had not been bused. Waiting staff was standing around doing nada. Were seated and waitress asked us about drinks and we needed a moment. She left not to return. Flagged down a waiter who took our food and drink order. Food was average. Atmosphere is nice. I will go back to Trinity Groves just not to Beto’s

Nice place if you like a little different mexican food but if you like only TX Mex, this isn't the place for you.
dining in Trinity Groves Beto and Son Mexican Eatery
were seated immediatelyin the open by our request and served with chips and two different salsas drinks were ordered and brought out ....food prices were were reasonable and plenty on the plate...many dishes had offerings not normally found in a Tex-Mex eatery. Background music washed away the traffic noise...service was super, parking is free, choice of seating whether in open air, under cover,or inside..enjoy your evening !!!
