Better Buzz has consistent ly above average coffee, good snacks and great atmosphere. Better than Starbucks any day!

We visit San Diego once a year and this is our first stop in the morning. The coffee is amazing and the sandwiches are delicious. This place is more crowded each time we visit. Make sure you go early or have time to wait in line a few minutes. There is a drive through but part of the experience is sitting inside or out and enjoying the rustic, industrial, cheery decor. They have some of the best avocado toast I have ever eaten. Enjoy!

The line for the drive through makes you think the coffee must be good....but it was not. Limited seating made the experience stressful. Would not go back.

Really good coffee. The rest of the cafe is quite limited. Few food selections, and limited seating make this a coffee house.Albeit excellent coffee.

Stopped in at Better Buzz while waiting to meet up with a friend. This location in Pt Loma has a busy drive thru service and parking is limited to the streets around the area so it can be a little difficult. The inside is brightly lit and cute. I asked for a suggestion from the barista of something strong yet also sweet and was recommended a Moroccan Spice drink. It’s basically a shaken espresso with spices and heavy cream on top. I ordered it iced and it was absolutely delicious. Definitely will be stopping back for more next time I’m in the area!

Good place for coffee or Hot Chocolate. Didn't eat there but the food looked good and service was good

Great little coffee shop full of PLNU college students, with a few others thrown in. Their signature coffee, The Best Drink Ever, was so good! My daughter had one with honey in it, but I got the original. Well worth stopping in for a caffeine fix!

Visited the area recently and went here a few times during our stay, drive-thru service quicker than going in. One day , I went in and only 2 people ahead of me but the latte took nearly 20 mins. I hear it's fairly new so they will probably work out the issues. Friendly staff.

I've been twice in the past week while on vacation, early mornings both times. I was impressed by several things. First, the coffee is very good. Perhaps not the best coffee ever, but far better than your average coffee shop. I had the medium roast drip and the Killer Bee (black coffee topped with espresso), and both times I found the coffee flavorful, well-prepared, and smooth. I'm not sure what happened with the reviewer below who says the quality was poor, but he must have just gotten a bad batch. Mine were high quality. Second, the baked goods are very nice. I understand they are sourced from a local bakery. I had the zucchini walnut muffin, which was really delicious, and the blueberry cornbread scone, which was almost as good. Third, the atmosphere is great. Bright and modern, but also comfortable, I found it to be upbeat, lively, and inviting, even early in the morning. I can see why some people would complain about the place being too "trendy" for them, but I don't share those complaints. The prices are pretty decent for an upscale coffee house. Altogether I found it quite comfortable and not at all snobbish. Fourth, they have some nice sustainability practices. I noted the commitment to local food, and single-origin sourced espresso. They were featuring an all-women cooperative from Rwanda at the time of my visit, which i liked to see. The shop itself isn't very in-your-face about it, but sustainability and fair trade practices in coffee shops are very important and I was pleased to see attention had been paid to that detail. Most importantly, I noted the same thing as many reviewers about the service: the service is extremely friendly. Every worker was bright, cheerful, helpful, polite, and friendly, whether they were taking my orders, serving, or stocking shelves. Frankly, a lot of much bigger and more successful coffee brands could learn a great deal about staffing and training from Better Buzz. For context, I am a huge Starbucks addict and I generally find their service to be good, but declining in recent years. Better Buzz blows them away in quality of service. So, huge kudos to the staff at this Better Buzz location. I hope management reads this review and congratulates them for their exemplary work. All in all, I would have given this a 4 out of 5 rating, except the friendly service pushed it over the top. I enjoyed my visits a great deal and I will definitely return.

This is the best coffee shop. It's hip and has delicious coffee and snacks. The staff are friendly. Would like to see more outdoor seating or more comfy indoor seating. Highly recommended. Make sure if you're in San Diego to stop in!

A great location on Rosecrans, delicious coffee and creative food options. The Buzz is catching on all over San Diego!! Stop in and try out their avocado toast... with either feta or watermelon radish. The portion is generous (1 large piece of bread) so sharing is valid. So many things I want to try. They just opened a new location in La Jolla, time to tey that, too!

Honestly, this is a place that is super trendy, and the staff is always extremely nice. I love getting coffee with friends or stopping by to get some work done--it's always a good time.

I usually drive through here twice a week on my way to the early morning departures of the fishing boats nearby. The coffee is top notch ( i prefer the dark roast drip coffee and is reasonably priced compared to Starbucks and dunkin donuts that are nearby. The staff are cheerful and pleasant (especially for 5 am). Highly recommended

If you like coffee and great breakfast food, you must go here. Great service and incredible food. The b.a.b.b was very unique and awesome. Coffee was robust and flavorful. Great location and fun spot to eat / drink in.

For all those, who think Starbucks is the best coffee-house brand... don’t read further For all who think Starbucks is just a name with a “ok” coffee and sometimes not really clean restaurants and that all together for too much money .... Better Buzz!;-) Nice furniture, clean tables and restrooms, fresh sandwiches,.... price ok All together very ok!👌

I enjoyed the Best Drink Ever here. It's the name of the drink. Excellent coffee, nice selection of pastries, small area to sit inside or out.

This little coffee shop with a drive through and rustic interior is welcoming and perfect for the morning. Walking distance from adjacent accommodations, I went twice the first day. They have some unique menu items. Their home brew is creamy rather than bitter. It's a delightful coffee shop and the decor is so on point it invites you to stay rather than just buzz in and out.

Better Buzz seems to be a regional chain of coffee places, and having lived on the East Coast for a long time, it was new to me. They have a drive through(!), but I was a walk-in, and I was in there pretty early. But they were buzzing--really. The barista was friendly and took my order. When I ordered dark roast, he reminded me that that was less-caffeinated (which I knew). I also ordered a pistachio croissant since I had never seen one before. Both were good, but the croissant had obviously been made elsewhere. At 7:00 a.m., the place was pretty crowded. The prices were comparable to Starbucks and the quality was also comparable. I liked it.

We happened to stop here after Starbucks was full. Thank goodness for that because We would have never experienced The Buzz! The barista suggested the "Best Drink Ever" and I have to admit this was better than Starbucks! They have 2 sizes 16oz and 24oz! I wished I got the 24 oz. I didn't want my drink the end:) Also, we ordered the Caramel blended drink and that tasted like a Werther's caramel candy! This drink is very good, but very sweet! This place is definitely a must try! Very limited parking, but they do have a drive-thru!

We walked here from The Pearl Hotel. We usually get our coffee 'to go' but enjoyed it here instead. Had forgotten how lovely a true barista designs the cream on top.

We stopped here in the morning for coffee and breakfast. I tried the BABB (YUM!) and my companion had the ham and Munster breakfast sandwich. We split a cinnamon roll and each enjoyed a Buzz coffee drink, coconut (for me) and vanilla. While they were making my coffee I noticed they put in whole milk - I flagged it to the cashier stating that I thought a coconut buzz would be made with coconut milk. She asked the barista to remake it and all was well. Just a note that all coffee drinks are made with whole milk unless you ask. So happy they were good with remaking!

After experiencing gut wrenching coffee at my hotel I decided to scout out local places and found this one. I dropped by and found a line of cars in the drive thru pouring out into the street. I parked at one of the tiny spaces and went inside. It was crowded. When I got to the front I orders a pour over (which they call a Clever Poor). The person at the counter looked at me surprised like I was ordering something strange. I pointed at the sign 3 feet to my right and said that one. Someone else came over and got it ordered. I waited a while as it was a pour over and enjoyed a scone. It was wonderful. When the coffee arrived it was excellent. So...it you have some time...give it a try...

Little pricey, but great service and good breakfast fare. The Red Bull mango smoothie was especially good and avocado toast was a hit.

This coffee shop is wonderful. Great coffee and amazing staff. Fantastic location. Highly recommended and I would definitely visit again.

There are several options near this location. Forget them all. I walked to this location from my hotel not knowing what to expect. This is One of the Better Cups I've ever had. A must try if you are in the area. Franchise immediately please!

We had a great experience! My husband is pretty picky about coffee, so it takes a lot to impress him (he recently just came back from a coffee trip to Costa Rica where he learned about everything that goes into flavor, a good roast, etc.). He really enjoyed their coffee and I (a less discerning coffee drinker, ha!) got the "best iced coffee" and it was great! The atmosphere was nice and the people were very friendly!

I almost missed this little gem that is also a drive-thru. After asking what to try, the coffee called "best coffee ever" was recommended and so I went for it. They use their own vanilla powder so no sweetener or creamer is needed. I had it iced, and the large comes with 3 shots of espresso. Best decision ever- that coffee was delicious and j plan to go back to pick up some beans to take back home!

Be smart and get Moraccan spice and thank me later. Thick cream on top and iced is the way to do it.

What a fun, quaint little spot! Stopped here for morning coffee, latte and breakfast sandwiches. The dark roast was rich and smooth. The latte was very good and so tasty. The brioche ham bun was so flavourful! Highly recommend!! We also had a bacon morning sandwich and it was also very good. If we lived there, we would be there frequently.

Awesome experience,! Fist time ever coming here and employee was very helpful and nice..we order a "black tea with a pump of raspberry syrup, caramel blended drink and their famous drink best drink ever " wow it was amazingly delicious:)

Visiting San Diego and wanting to kill some time before our afternoon plan, we decided to come here right in the mid-morning timeframe. We loved the idea of a drive-thru and sit in cafe. I wanted to love it but the attitude from ordering started off so wrong. It's our first time so we needed a little time, even letting the ppl go behind us first (but they needed time too). We asked the barista what her favorite drink was or what she'd recommend and her response with the eyeroll of "really, depends on what you like" was unappreciated. So in a hurried order we got our mint-infused coffee and the horchata latte- both just okay and not really worth $12. I'd rather have gone to a Dutch Bros for the better service and better coffee.

But, be ready for a line. All the LOCALS know about this place. And, even in the afternoon .. there's a line! They serve all the drinks you could want. The worker bees .. they're the happiest drink servers I've EVER seen. I like that!

Ate here twice during a visit to San Diego, loved their sandwiches. Very friendly service and very clean.

We went for breakfast and had cool sandwiches, one with almond butter, banana and maple syrup, a sweet treat to start the day. Coffees are big, and pleasantly strong. The decor is cool, building on the 60s theme that permeates the area with a lovely flair. Service was fast and friendly. We'll go back next time we are in San Diego.

I love the food and coffee here. It has been a great place to set up shop and work for a couple of hours. The staff has always been fantastic. Super nice and helpful.

Great little coffee place we walked to, from the Pearl Hotel. Friendly service, nice variety of breakfast options, great strong coffee drinks, but oviously popular, so a bit of a wait-- well worth it!

The coffee really is better and above par, good enough to ignore the non-existent parking lot and long drive through line (they do mitigate it well as they can with worker standing outside taking orders using pad). I had a few items including the signature "best drink ever" which really was one of the most enjoyable cups of coffee I've had in recent memory, and that's saying something. I will return here again in the future and recommend to any in the area, TRY IT !

I stopped by here after a morning run. The coffee was great and the location was close to the hotel. I also picked up a hat as I am from out of town and liked the apparel they had in the store. Hopefully I will get to stop by again soon!

Stopped in after a chilly day at the zoo. This is near my motel. Kinda hipster place but the mocha is good. They have drive thru, a few sandwiches and pastry. Indoor/outdoor seating.

Lovely place within walking distance of The Pearl hotel. A great experience with great coffee. I highly recommend.

BB is a great option for breakfast and unique coffee or tea beverages. Try the Island Açaí bowl, awesomeness and filling with granola topping. The honey latte is excellent as well. Cold pour coffee is nice on a hot day. The service is friendly however the orders get mixed up at times. They can improve that, since they are customer focused.

The Acai bowls are worth the visit by themselves but the breakfast sandwiches are also really good. We took some banana bread with us to go.

Nice staff and yummy avocado on toast which we enjoyed. Seems to be a very popular place for the locals.

We walked here for coffee one morning from our hotel (see my review of The Pearl) as it is just a block down the road. Small coffee shop with a small patio for seating outside. Service was fast and the coffee was really good. They also have a drive-thru option.

Buzz cafe just across the road, fabulous coffee, coissants to die for, the toasted sandwiches for lunch are well worth trying.

So, this was my second time here at the new operation on University. I know people want to be seen in the newest hip place and I am sure this qualifies. However, I go to upscale coffee stores for three reason. Quality of coffee. Quality of pastries. Quality of service. None of these passed the test. When getting to know a new place, I always order black. My coffee was sour with a bitter taste at the end. It was called a medium roast. I had a Cheese danish, fair, not exceptional.Service, half the staff didn't know what they were doing. Secondly, I do not want employees to be taught their job in front of me as a customer. Not going back ... come to my house for a great cup of coffee.

Had a cappuccino with almond milk, really good! Just few tables and stools by the window, and one big table outside. Food was also delicious, just few options, but the right one for breakfast or brunch.

An unexpected find and pleasant surprise! The first thing I noticed about this place was how busy the drive through was as I entered through the front door. The second thing I noticed was how extremely cheerful everyone was early in the morning despite how busy they were. I enjoyed my relaxing dine in mug with a breakfast sandwich both which were a perfect way to start the day. Go here if you have the chance. I'd definitely be a "regular" if I lived in San Diego.

Great spot for a drive through pick me up. Lattes and avocado toast are my go to. Friendly staff, great small plate food (sandwiches, pastry, fruit, etc)

The Buzz Cafe has excellent sandwiches, moderate prices, very busy at lunch time. Do recommend it. Service is very good, you can eat their or take out. The ham and cheese on a crosant is excellent. Must try, in Point Loma, SAN Diego.

While visiting San Diego, this location was a walk from the hotel. I had found it before we arrived when searching coffee places. I don't know what type of chai tea they use but this is the best I have been able to find. It was so flavorful and the drizzle of chocolate was perfect. I enjoyed it so much I drove through in the morning, went to the zoo and drove back through to get another iced chai tea. The next day my daughter and I walked here and had breakfast. I got a large iced chai tea latte and before we left I ordered another one. The breakfast sandwiches we bought were so delicious and flavorful. You can tell they use fresh ingredients. My daughter said the coffee was some of the best she has ever had. She also commented that everywhere you go in California the question is "would you like avocado on that" instead of any other condiment. Now that I'm home I'm missing the iced chai tea latte and I have already requested Better Buzz open a location by my house. It's been a month and I'm still craving it.

Great little “hole in the wall” coffee place. Love the more traditional style coffee shop atmosphere. Only had the regular coffee, but as a coffee roaster myself, I can honestly say that this coffee is very good. Looking forward to my next visit when back in San Diego.

What a great place the Mexican Mocha was just amazing. The muffins, especially the blackberry muffin, was worth trashing my diet. Wish we had them on the East coast.

Great place to grab a bite to eat and a cup of joe. They also have some cute/funny promotional items for sale.

If you're looking for an experience and a barista that gives you what you order this is not it. The coffee was good I'll give them that but it wasn't exactly what I ordered. The location is tiny but has some seating. My preferred location is the bigger location on Pacific Beach next to the taco shop.

Very nice coffee shop. Provides a nice location to get coffee if you are staying at the Pearl. There is a Starbucks half a block away, but I prefer buying local.

We love evening iced americanos and Better Buzz offered a drive through plus later hours than other coffee shops near where we were staying in Ocean Beach. Staff was nice, quick and efficient. I don't think the inside was open which was fine. A good option if you want to grab and go without getting out of your car.

Cute place. Friendly staff. Delicious drinks. Order the Chai. Creamy and wonderful. One of the best Chai's I've had.

when I visited my friend who lives in this area, I walked down the street to grab one of coffee from here and stayed at harbor with seagulls. I love the moment to spend time. I usually don't drink much coffee but this shop made me come back almost everyday. I like outside terrace to watching the street, too. please let me order the caramel latte again.

We got the cold brew and some hot coffee drinks here, and some coconut water for the kiddo. Nothing to write home about but very enjoyable to sip on. The shop is very cute and the service was friendly!

They don’t need my review. The coconut buzz was life changing and the gluten free bread is to die for. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed no matter what you choose.

Super cute little coffee joint. They serve pastries, sandwiches and bowls (all the rage in Cali right now). I got the Mocha de Mexico and my niece got the Mocha Latte. Both were yummy and the Mocha de Mexico was super rich and yummy.

Loved the vibe of this place not to mention the coffee. A nice blend of laid back hospitality, California sunshine, and a great cup of java. The menu looked great as well, but opted for yogurt, fruit, and granola.

Right on, I was half way to work before I realized that I forgot my car. Drink this brew and your tail dragging persona will be transformed in to a triathlete killing machine. I’ve been awake for three days straight, and ain’t even tired. All in fun, thanks for a great cup of joe.

Met a couple of business associates here and this place was bustling with business and a lot of smiles. So far superior to the stuffiness that is Starbucks. Got the Moroccan and it was great. Fast and friendly service with a smile. Very open so there is no feeling of being cramped. Will be a patron when I see them. Wish we had these in NY. Highly recommend.

A place called Better Buzz Coffee just sounded like I needed to visit. (It has a drive through and an outdoor patio - neither of which I took advantage of.) The inside was cool in every way and I was amazed to see how many baristas were working! Service was excellent. I had to ask about gluten free ingredients and they were very helpful and transparent. I had the "best drink ever" and I don't know that I can argue with the name of it. I bought a plastic cup with their logo for a souvenir.

Lot's of great coffee options. Some food options available. A busy drive-thru lane. Friendly staff. Some indoor seating.

Tasty chai and blended drinks, located conveniently down the street from The Pearl Hotel (and offering our group a great alternative to the hotel menu and bar). Good breakfast sandwich options.

My family really enjoyed this place on our vacation. Really liked the "OG" Acai bowl. The coffee and smoothies were fantastic. Hope they expand to Colorado!

The BEST Açai Island Bowl, and coffee that hit the spot on this cold April morning! Super friendly and switched on staff. Will be back!

Coffee was great - breakfast yummy!! OG fantastic!! However, you cannot be in a rush - they work hard but it is popular and things take a little while!

Main service is drive through. Ordered two large drip coffees with cream, which curdled. They have stickers that cover the lid hole, better for environment than plastic sticks.

Spent the past week in San Diego for vacation and ate breakfast here each morning. My daughters enjoyed the smoothies and açaí bowls (we all loved the açaí bowls). My wife and I tried a few breakfast sandwiches which were good but nothing remarkable. The avocado toast is delicious as is the oatmeal. The hot & iced lattes are good. My wife loved The Best drink (think americano with good vanilla creamer) both hot and iced.

They have a drive thru - and this place has great coffee, where you can get in and out pretty quickly.

My nephew recommended Better Buzz, but my husband ordered an Americano to-go and was very unimpressed - said it tasted like Folgers at best. Wondered if it even was an Americano. He said the baristas were a lot slower than he expected as well. Would not get their coffee again.

The parking here is a nightmare but it's well worth finding a spot or waiting in the drive thru line. My boyfriend and I each had the breakfast sandwich which was fantastic! They had some kind of chipolte mayo on it which was sooo good, it really made the sandwich. The coffee wasn't as great but it was good. It was really sweet but was thick and the coffee itself was good. Give this tiny spot a try and be sure to try the breakfast sandwich!

Cafe was good. Mostly younsters were there. Coffee was awesome. i am allergic to dairy so they provided me coffee with dairy free milk too :)

My friends and I went here every morning! Wish there was one in New York, I'm going through withdrawals! :)

Nice early morning to get coffee before starting a walk down to the Shelter Island area. Staff was nice and a good place to write.

I had a awesome expresso but my dad had a blackberry green tea that is just out of this world. They have the freshest fruit for all of their teas and it really adds to the flavor.

Came here every morning for coffee and it was wonderful. They have a vanilla powder that was very yummy in my cold brew coffee! I had a breakfast sandwich one morning that was also fabulous.

We stumbled upon this cute shop on our way to breakfast our first morning in San Diego. We were skeptical because we are Starbucks fans and wanted a good cup of coffee. We were pleasantly surprised. Not only was the coffee good but the food was yummy too! We went back all three mornings and were very happy. Definitely a place to stop and enjoy.

This little restaurant has fair prices, friendly staff, and good food and beverages. I got the avocado toast and iced best drink ever.

I got a chai tea latte which I typically get everywhere else, and it was hands down, the best I ever had! When we met a friend who's from the area, she saw our cups and immediately chimed 'you went to my favorite place!'. I loved the added detail of the sticker over the lid opening to retain it's heat. I cannot wait to go back!

Great concept - a coffee bar that serves a lite breakfast ! Service and food was good. Easy in/out and 5min from the SD airport - dead easy!

BBC is in a convenient location with drive thru. However, the seating area is small and neither server I asked could tell me th bean origin for my coffee of the day which spoils the fun and makes me question their training/service ability. The server said she was new but still couldn't find out where the beans were from after asking another server. Not better than the nearby starbucks which is alot more roomy.

I got the blueberry mint green tea .... was pretty good. You can taste every flavor, especially the mint. The lemon cake had a really strong lemon flavor. The zucchini cake was nice and fluffy. Beautiful decor!

very fine coffe e, a welcome departure from the ubiquitous starbucks breathing down my neck. i think this is a so cal business with a few locations. beautifully designed and staffed by a busy hive of baristas. the food looks really good next time ill have to get a bite!

It's best to go early as this place fills up fast! Loved their Best-drink-ever and pistachio croissant :)

Amazing coffee with very speedy service and a great selection of breakfasty/brunchy food items. The better buzz special coffee is absolutely incredible! 100% recommend.

I always prefer a coffee shop that is not the green mermaid or her boy buddy Pete. I prefer local, indie roasters - RYAN BROS! But, when I can't get to Ryan Bros, I will grab me a Buzz! Good coffee and drinks that are not bitter or burnt!

Better Buzz was delicious. I absolutely loved the cinnamon roll, and banana chocolate chip slice. Better Buzz was great for before or after breakfast coffee or pastries. It was a fun treat. We went about 4 times in 3 days! Better Buzz was so delicious!😀

I had the opportunity to get my cappuccino here for the 3 days I was on Pt Loma. I did try the "Living Room" Coffee House down the street one morning first and dumped my cappuccino and went down the road to this place to get one I could drink. These people were great service, friendly, and good cappuccino. I try out different coffee/cappuccino places on my travels to get away from the Starbucks monopoly. YEAH! Great stuff!

Since I stayed at a hotel right across the street from this lovely coffee shop for a layover, I went to this place for my breakfast -- my best choice for that day! The place is really cute: bright, airy, comfy, and inviting. It's SoCal, so everyone loves to sit outdoor; it's very comfortable to sit inside too. The counter was constantly busy while we visited, and there was always a line. But the staff are friendly, and the service is fast. The coffee is really good, - rich and robust, and they made your sandwich fresh. I'd say this place gave me a pleasant surprise on my short layover in San Diego.

This place is popular so line can grow at times but well worth it. Great prices for really great food and coffee. I was so impressed with the value/quality that we bought several snacks to bring with us to the zoo. You will not be disappoint, coffee was Amazing!! We made the walk from our hotel, worth the extra walk!

Incredible good coffee and healthy, fresh food options. I am from MN and this was a pleasant and delicious surprise! We ordered the 3 Seed Avocado Toast, Bacon Ciabatta, Mocha Latte and Blended Caramel Iced Latte, every morning during our stay. SO good. Great customer service. Highly recommend

This seems to be a well liked little place. I stopped in for a mint infused coffee. They also serve acia bowls & pastries. The drive through was busy while I was there. They have indoor & outdoor seating. A nice coffee stop.

Went here for breakfast and coffee while on vacation. My husband and I both got a breakfast sandwich and the peanut butter maple latte. They have many gluten free items and I will be back to try the delicious looking Acai bowls! The sandwiches were around $6 and they were very filling. Nothing bad to say!

This place is really cute and trendy with a little something for everyone. The drive thru lane was backed up pretty far up the street and around the corner but seemed to move quickly. We did counter service and they were fast and efficient. The downside is how small it is inside and it can get crowded pretty easily. Looking forward to checking out their other locations for the ambiance as each location is styled differently. Good açaí bowl, coffee, tea and chocolate croissant.

So I tried this coffee on a whim and it was fantastic. I also tried the avacado toast and though it was a little pricey I didn't feel to bad about it after because the toast was awesome. I honestly will be going to this coffee shop over starbucks (which is only down the road) any day

The breakfast sandwich is the best thing EVER! So friendly, reasonably priced, and seriously 2+ thick pieces of bacon on this thing! Great coffee too!

I definitely prefer this place over all the others in the area. I would prefer a shorter line but I wait for a reason.

Great coffee with fast and friendly service. We did the drive through on the way back from Carrillo hike and liked it so much we went back the second time the next day.

My order was all wrong, I believe they gave me someone else's order; then when i came back to have it corrected I was basically told that it is what I ordered hmmmm I'm pretty sure I ordered coffees not teas and an açaí bowl, not toast. Very strange, and to top it off the manager was very rude, I believe her name was Suzy. They made me stick with an order that I didn't want or ask for. I left just to not have to deal with it. Wow, whatever happened to the customer being right. I would never in a million years recommend this place to anyone and will never come back. This was my first and last time here. Thanks for your terrible management skills Suzy!!! Disgusting

This place looks a local business with nice atmosphere and they are doing great job. Ham and cheese croissant was baked to keep it crunchy as must be. Coffee is good as well, staff very friendly and smiling all time. Only problem is no parking and drive through is busy at peak hours. Recommend for a morning coffee and light breakfast.

Every coffee house had its own idea of what is good coffee. Some are proud not to be Starbucks deeming the coffee way too strong. Coulda been a bad day. Very attractive shop. Nice, plentiful staff.

Very popular coffee spot in Point Loma. Loved the ham and cheese croissant. The iced latte was a little too milk for my taste, but the quality of the coffee is very good.

We went for Americano 4 days in a row. Hard to find great coffee in the US but this place sure serves some.

Yesterday as I was returning from Starbucks I noticed the long line at this location and was intrigued. This morning I was determined to see what the hype was about. I order an Açaí smoothie, honey latte and brown sugar oatmeal. The oatmeal was OK, the açai smoothie is pretty good especially from a person who does not like fruit (so that’s saying a lot) but the best part is the latte!! The latte is possibly the best coffee I have had in a very long time. No lie! Hands down the best coffee I’ve had in since traveling overseas. The coffee is sweet enough that I didn’t needed anything added to it. It’s super smooth and creamy as well. Definitely will be coming back. I would suggest if you go to bring your own bag if you are ordering more than drinks as they don't offer bags.

Anytime I can avoid a national chain brand, I’m willing to try a local coffee shop. Not only do they have wonderful breakfast choices, they have wonderful coffee. I ordered B.B.A.B. almond butter, bacon and banana sandwich which was made on hearty bread. My husband ordered 3 Seed Avocado toast. Both were freshly made and delicious. I generally drink straight black coffee but was tempted by the “Best coffee drink ever” made with Buzz’s vanilla sugar. It had a wonderful touch of sweetness, not sugary. My husband had two different blends – both delicious. We took one of them home If you enjoy artisanal coffee, Buzz is a great place to skip your daily Starbucks for.

We stayed at The Pearl over the weekend, and after leaving disappointed this morning, we stopped into Better Buzz for a coffee to go and a quick breakfast sandwich. There was a line six cars deep so we knew the coffee must be good. It was great! Not only that, the inside was quiet, so we had our food and drinks in minutes! All the girls working greeted us with smiles, and were so friendly. One of the best stops of our weekend visit to SD. God I wish they had a Better Buzz in LA!

I'm what you might call a 'coffee snob'. I import my own beans, blend them myself, roast them myself, have two different high end grinders and a huge collection of coffee brewing equipment from yama pots to moka pots to a La Marzocco espresso machine. I stopped in here for an Americano as it was close to the motel I was staying at in the marina. The coffee was - in a word - excellent. Possibly one of the best I've had and I've had a LOT. I went back for another but the line up was down the block when I got there and I was on a tight schedule. I guess others have figured out how good it is too. I can't speak to the milk drinks or food - just the coffee - but it was truly excellent.

What a fun coffee shop and delish coffee and snacks. I get an Americano and my husband gets The Best Drink Ever. Don’t skip the avocado toast!
Good Morning
Their coffee is just what I needed. Strong enough to eat a spoon but not my stomach. Cute little place with a drive thru. Service was very nice, quick and friendly even though it was packed. Enjoy
