Great find

Great little deli. Huge sandwiches, I couldn't finish mine even though I wanted to. Friendly, family run. Chicken club was 5 star. My husband had the ruben and loved it as well.

One of the best sandwich shops anywhere

This is a fantastic deli/sandwich shop in San Diego. Wonderful sandwiches and great price point. The chicken club sandwich was so tender and flavorful. Even the simple chicken salad sandwich was sublime. Mom & pop shop and the owner most of the time waits on you at the register. Very flexible on preparing your sandwiches.. You can ask to add/substract whatever from the standard menue. Just a wonderful place.

Great Deli

Best deli in this part of town. Please be aware that they close at 3pm sharp. Great selection. Everything is really fresh. They only accept cash.

Great subway sandwiches and friendly service. They knew me by name on my second visit. Large variety of choices. You won't be disappointed.

Hidden Gem

If yall are in San Diego and near Beyer Deli. You must make a stop here to try their sandwiches. Huge selection of sandwiches. It is a family run restaurant. The sandwiches are flavorful. The price are reasonable. Definitely get the New Yorker and the Philly steak and cheese. Both are delicious, but I really like the Philly steak and cheese. The staffs are friendly and the food comes out fast. There are outside seats.

Superb Service - Average Corned Beef and Pastrami

By T D |

I was surprised to read "cash only" as I approached the door. Saved me from dropping $30-$40 more on family members back home and forced me to eat in. Excellent service (quick and sincere apology for not noticing me waiting to order) with a professional and friendly attitude. All public and visible work areas were very clean. The amount of meat on my sandwich was generous. The quality (i.e., flavor) of the corned beef and pastrami was just "grocery store" deli average. When you took a bite, there was no separate corned beef or pastrami taste or texture. It was all a slightly bland (missing the smoked note and complex spices) pastrami taste. It's important to note there was NO off or bad favor—a nice pickled meat sandwich. Perhaps steam heat the corned beef and grill heat the pastrami might do the trick? Not sure. All in all, better quality than most San Diego delis and a much better service experience.

Excellent hidden gem

Had the pastrami on rye and the turkey bacon guacamole on a torta. Both were excellent and I cannot believe how wonderful the service was. Visited twice within a week and they remember all there customers and their favorites. Will definitely be back on my next trip to San Diego.

Great pastrami sandwich!

This is a hidden gem. I heard through another APP about this place, which has recently been highly graded, so I had to try it. I had their New Yorker, which is a pastrami sandwich, and this was the best I have had: warm and juicy. The size of the sandwich was just right. I will come back to try other sandwiches. Tried their home-made (somewhat expensive) brownie, and it was also good

A diamond in the rough

By Jennifer S |

I was in town for business and a local colleague took us to this diamond in a rough. A local owned deli with the best sandwich I can remember eating. This is cash only business and family owned. A awesome value for the money. We had a warm greeting by the owner who explained the many menu options. I am not a huge sandwich eater but I would be if this was in my town. I had the Hot and Delicious which was piled high with fresh shaved turkey, bacon, cheese, and fresh California avocado on a Torta. There was many people coming in including the border control and local police officers. When I get back to San Diego this is definitely on my list and will leave a lasting memory of an awesome sandwich.

A Rare Gem of a Deli.

On rare occasions I get the cravings of a pregnant woman. Today, I had a craving for a hot pastrami sandwich, probably because it was my favorite meal when I lived in Boston. I googled “best hot pastrami sandwich in San Diego” and Beyer Deli came up. I live at least 16 miles away and called ahead. Family owned establishment that has been in the same location for 23 years. My order was ready in two minutes and I couldn’t wait to get home to eat my huge pastrami sandwich. 🥪 I could barely eat half of it before I got full. Very delicious 😋 and satisfying. Located in an office park the deli is spacious and the ambiance is laidback and wlecoming. Very clean. The owner, her husband and daughter are very nice people. I'll be back! I rate this deli 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️.
