Good but not our favorite

By Danielle W |

We ate here as part of the Candlelight Processional package. There were three of us, and we all tried basically a bit of everything on the buffet. Most of what we ate was good with some small exceptions (the salmon was a little dried out for example). Still, everything had pretty good flavor. I was so full when it was time for dessert, but I managed to still try a piece of blueberry crumble and some apple streusel with a vanilla sauce. Both desserts I tried were enjoyable, but man that vanilla sauce was so amazing. We enjoyed the show, and the atmosphere in there is truly something else. All that being said, we weren't blown away. Our server was fine - nothing much to say there as she didn't do a ton. Towards the end felt like she wasn't as on clearing the plates as we'd pushed some of the plates to the other end of the table. Overall, it was a fine time. Would we repeat it? Eh...the food was okay, but it was pretty pricey and we're not sure we'd do it again just for that reason.

Disappointed

By Jim E |

My people are German. I’ve enjoyed German food from the very beginning of my life and in great German restaurants in the U.S. and in Germany. And when I book a meal at a buffet restaurant, I expect there will be many, many food choices. So let me explain why I was extremely disappointed with Biergarten at Epcot. The buffet choices were so limited that I didn’t feel like I had any choices at all except for salty, over cooked selections. The German foods I like the best weren’t even available and those that were available were not very tasty. In example, the bratwurst was probably purchased at a local grocery store and had no flavor at all. The only other sausage looked a little like an Oscar Mayer weiner. The schnitzel was just a cruel joke. The price for this poorly prepared buffet was something you’d expect at a Grand buffet but is just wasn’t good enough to charge this much, even for a Disney restaurant. On the bright side, the beer was good, the entertainment was excellent, and my server was great. But, for the price, it just wasn’t enough. I’d avoid this place if I were you.

Great German beer hall themed restaurant

By DKandtheMadDog |

Great restaurant with lively atmosphere. The food is good, with a wide selection including vegetarian options such as sausages. Beware of the French onion soup if vegetarian as our waiter told us it has bacon & chicken stock in it.

Very enjoyable for the entire family!

What can I say? The food was delicious and there was so much to choose from! The atmosphere was fun! There was live music and dancing. I definitely recommend!!!

Fun! How have we missed this place?

By kimberlystamps |

We have been going to WDW for years and have never eaten here before. And as soon as we were done, we said, let’s go back! We had good food, great desserts, and really enjoyed the show! The music was fun and the musicians were talented. They made the show a fun time! We had grandparents, adults, a teenager, and a 2 year old and everyone was happy! We all loved the beer cheese soup and pretzel buns. Don’t miss those!

One of the Best

We've been to Germany and the food at Biergarten is authentic and plentiful. A great place to sit, relax, enjoy the show while catching up with the family. Service has always been excellent. Love sharing tables with other families and trading Disney experiences.

Go, but only if you want to see the show

By David G |

There are many restaurants in Disney World which are destinations for some kind of entertainment. The Sci-Fi Dine in comes to mind; people go for the experience, and not for the food. This is another. The food here was on a par with a Golden Corral. It was overcooked, tough, and sometimes oddly flavorless. This is odd, because I watched servers swapping out trays of food frequently, and I saw the trays being emptied, so it wasn't sitting under the heat lamps for long. I can only imagine that it sat in the kitchen before being brought out. The draw here is Oktoberfest, with oompa band and dancers, i.e., the entertainment. The difference between this place and the Sci-Fi Dine In is that the Biergarten is a buffet, so you're paying Disney's legendary buffet prices for to privilege of watching the show.

Attention note 1000

It's Like Stepping Off the Plane in Germany

By Robert3540 |

I was looking for a special dining experience while visiting Walt Disney World. I spent quite a while looking for just the right spot and I finally decided on the Biergarten Restaurant in Epcot at Walt Disney World. The moment we walked in I knew it was right place. It's as if I wandered into a cobble-stoned side street in Germany. The food was straight from the old country. Yes, as a buffet is was a little pricey for a theme park, but it was all you could eat of truly authentic German food. They also have a wonderful "oompa" band and bell ringers. Yeah, I know a little staged, but it was fun all the same. It's not something that would go back to on every visit but every once in a while it provides good, authentic food and a fun evening.

Good honest food

By jaquesfamily |

Enjoyed the food here, of course you are paying over the odds because it’s Disney. Worth a visit that’s for sure. Brawniest and chips and a beer is a must.

Best German Restaurant in the South

By Jeffrey S |

First of all this place is better when I was here back in 2014. The reason why they have bread dumplings again. Which is my favorite German side dish Second their sausages are just as when I was in the real Germany. Third their spatzle is just as good as at a German restaurant I went to when I was in Berlin. Fourth they have great beer. Fifth the desserts are just as good as this bakery I went to in Berlin. Lastly, the people who work here are very nice.

Fun, decent food, fresh beer - good Disney option for a sit down lunch

By SksAdvntr |

We had a nice lunch here - really enjoyed the show. My little one even got up to dance the polka for a bit, and that was really fun too. The food was decent - we travel a lot to central europe, and have been to beer gardens in Munich, and the food seemed comparable. I mean, it's not the fanciest or most unique cuisine in the world, but when done well it is very satisfying. For us, it hit the spot and gave us the fuel we needed to get on through the day. I heard other guests remarking that they were really unexpectedly enjoying the food, compared to other Disney options, and that is how we felt as well. So, I guess the surprise that it was decent aspect influences the five star rating. Service was pleasant, the beer was fresh, and the food was on par for the theme. Fair value for meal plus entertainment.

good German food

By John |

Stopped for lunch. Friendly and quiet. Service was good. Two of us had Jagerschnitzel and a side of red cabbage. Great. Of note, the gravey was excellent. Really topped of the meat. Dunkel and Wheat beer was cold and good. They offer a lunch portion which will fill you up but not break the bank.****Good place

Expensive for the quality of food

By Red-Barchetta2011 |

I wanted to try something different at EPCOT and had made reservations to the Biegarten. Our reservation for 8:05. Which at time did not realize it was like the last reservation of the night. On the day we visited I had called them to see fi maybe we can get in like 7:30 and hostess said if we stopped in they can most likely get seated early. We got there and host said we were early but would try. In the end they never did seat us early like they said and we were seated like after 8:05. I will say the whole experience was not positive and hosts were indifferent. We were seated and our waitress took our drink order and told us where to go for the buffet items. There were two buffet lines but they closed one down and consolidated the items. This is when we realized that we were the last grouping to eat and felt that maybe it was end of night and got the last items of the night. Overall the food was average. It is very expensive for what you get and I think the seating experience was sub par. We have eaten at lot of Disney restaurants and this was not the best experience.

Good food but pricey

By Berniedeer |

My husband and teenage daughter really liked this restaurant. Plenty of options for food and alcohol. It’s pricey but worth it if you love The food and appreciate a German beer hall atmosphere. The show was entertaining but wish they played throughout the meal.

German Food????

By 688wolle |

Nice setting in Germany part of Epcot. Calls itself a German restaurant. That can be only true if you never had good German food. On the positive side the Beer was good and the right size 1L!! as it should be . They had Sauerbraten but it was not the real thing. The Buffet was a mess most things needed a refill and spilled food everywhere. So overall the food was just marginal. On the other hand the musical performance was very good. It was more a folksy kind of music that typical only is played in a beer tent in Southern Germany(Bavaria). The price I considered high for what they offered, but hat is typical for Disney.

Save Your Money

By 25kas |

We’ve been going to this restaurant in Epcot for years. No more! We were told by the server “the chef” updated the menu. Well, “the chef” needs to change it back. We did not like their new additions and especially the fact that there is no more carving station. Also, many of the dishes looked like they needed refreshing. Even though this is a small thing, the butter pats have been reduced to a bowl of some sort of imitation butter slop in a bowl. The pretzel rolls were like rocks, very stale and I know pretzel rolls are crispier on the outside but these were just stale. We were so very disappointed and will not be going back. Definitely not worth the money we paid.

So much fun!

By Traveling Adam |

I love their "Oktoberfest everday' attitude. Our German server is in her 17th year at Biergarden, and still enjoys her job. The buffet was great with German potatoe salad, and brats. You can buy 5-6 of their German beers by the liter which is fun, and the band seems authentic and fun.

Average rip off

By FrequentTraveller150 |

Good customer service and lovely atmosphere but food very average and overpriced. 3 adults with 2 beers $213 ! Tip of $31 just for bringing 2 drinks and clearing plates. Fast bland food. Band were on for 10 mins and were good but definitely not worth the money. Wouldn’t go back again. Came out feeling ripped off.

Alot of Allergy options! Fun Including show!

By Amanda |

We went as a big group, got a lovely greeting, didn’t wait for the table more than 5 minutes. Our server was so sweet and charming she did everything perfectly! As a person with fiid allergy they had a lovely little leaflet for the whole buffet. There were loads of options for a person with fish, shellfish, egg, tree nut and peanut allergy. The buffet had loads of options of salads, cold food and warm dishes, very tasty sausages, and the meat the chef stood and cut was amazing! the potatos where too much salted other than that was everything very good. When it comes to the german show in the middle of the Oktoberfest, it was such fun experiance they got everyone included and created a very fun athmosfare. I do reccomend a trip here and I would go again for sure!

Best Father's Day Ever

By Traveling-Illini4 |

I try to start Disney World reviews with this: This is a review of Biergarten in the context of Disney World in central Florida. We went to the Biergarten for Father's day lunch and it was the best gift I could have asked for. First off, I love German food and beer. I went for the litre of beer and stayed for the music and atmosphere! (Side note on the beer: Disney, please get some better and more German German beer, Becks?(brewed in St. Louis) Warsteiner dunkel? How about some Spaten and Franziskaner!!!!). The food is in a buffet style and has an acceptable variety of options (a lot of meat and starch!). We just happened to luck out and be seated right by the dance floor (I did not realize at the time it was a dance floor). I did not know there would be a band or what times they play. We lucked out and ten minutes into our sitting down the band came out and started playing. We have two young children and they both asked if they could go dance. I didn't know if this was an open dance floor but one of the band members gestured and off they went. Soon after that there were almost twenty (mostly young children) dancing all over the floor to oom-pah. My father's day lunch was sitting back, relaxed in a cute German looking town watching my children dance their hearts out while I enjoyed some schnitzel, speatzle and ein Mass of dark lager. Seriously, what more could I have asked for? I have read some reviews here saying the food is not fantastic or entirely authentic. You are absolutely correct. But, you are also wrong to expect it to be. As someone who has been to many biergartens across Germany (and Austria and Switzerland) I understand what people are saying, I just don't understand why they would expect it. Nothing at Epcot is exactly what the actual country it represents is like. You are in central Florida at a theme park. Everything has been largely Americanized. Enjoy it for what it is. For non-beer drinkers, there is still a beverage on this menu for you to get excited about. Spezi (I believe the brand served here is Mezzo Mix, a Coca-Cola product). It is a mix of Coca-Cola and European Fanta (not American fanta!). The slogan is, Cola with a Kiss of Orange. A-MAZING! (My family has a food allergy, and like all Disney dining options, Biergarten was fantastic with communication and safety. Thank you!)

Wonderful buffet for everyone in your party.

By VeganInTheSouth |

This was an excellent experience for our family! Amazing food, very attentive server. We had a party of 6 that included 2 vegans, 1 vegetarian, 1 pescatarian. Two of us were children. All of us were able to get very full on very delicious food without any difficulty. The buffet had so much to offer! The salad bar was delicious. The mustard vinaigrette and tomato salad (both plant-based) were amazing. We also all raved about the green beans and potatoes. The server even offered us vegan brats brought right to our table along with vegan chocolate for my 4 year old. This was above and beyond our expectation. The live music was an extra treat and my children danced so joyfully. Would highly recommend making reservations as far in advance as possible in order to secure a spot here. 100% will return if in EPCOT again. Do not miss this!

Pretty Decent

By irishbear142017 |

Had a great time here. Buffet style lunch that had some typical German food to eat. I had some delicious salmon, german style mac and cheese, some kelbasa. The show was very entertaining. They played some polka style music and invited people to the dance floor, and sampled some different instruments.

Horrible experience

By ke11y2468 |

Was forced to sit at table with another family rather than my own even though dining room was half empty. Only beer and wine so if on dining plan bad use. If your kid doesn't like mac n cheese your out of luck. They still charged me a full child table service meal and my child did not eat one thing. He couldn't even drink his apple juice because the waiter never brought him a straw. Horrible experience.

Disney all you care to eat!

By Cleob62 |

Having been a Disney Family for many years, we have dined at many resturants there, this was our return trip after about 10 years, i have to say Disney service yse to be the best, you were really pampered, at Biergarden the staff was friendly but unavailable because of the amount of people in the resturant, the food was more like finger foods not worth the price, what your paying for is the atmodphere which was great, at furst did not like the ideal of dining so inttimately with strangers, they were nice and we got through it, but thats it, i would pass on Biergarden not a good atmosphere for little ones, overall experience was OK and thats sad for Disney!

Finally made it

By sjulia |

We had been waiting to come here during our many Disney vacations. We were never keen on how people were seated at large tables as we have a special needs adult daughter. We heard seating had changed so off we went . So very excited to been here. We loved the food! Anyone who says the food is bad just may not like this type of food because it was excellent. The music , show and atmosphere was incredible . I do not feel this place is overpriced for everything you experience here. It’s a fantastic experience and we will be back for sure !

Still one of our favorites

By Kristina R |

Biergarten continues to be one of our must-do restaurants at Disney's Epcot Park. While we missed all the options that we usually get at the buffet they still do a great job of serving the favorites. If you finish something they brought out on want more all you need to do is ask. We had excellent service this visit as always. If you love German food, give it a try.

Great place to eat

By mu51c10rd |

Ate here during the pandemic, and were one of 3 families in the entire restaurant. The family style serving is far better than the old buffets, and the theming is amazing here. The food was great as well and fairly authentic.

Eat the Beat Dinner

By Miss J |

We purchased the Eat to the Beat Dining Package for 98 Degrees and chose to eat at Biergarten(after not being able to get a reservation at Garden Grill). BEST decision ever! It was a great meal and our hostesses and server were TOP NOTCH! We had an allergy at the table... they brought out an allergy list and made sure that we were okay with everything from the buffet. The performers were a lot of fun too! After dinner, we headed to the concert where we had a rain delay, but had amazing seats!

Just not the same as before...

By JFel |

The food was good but lacked anything truly special - great for meat eaters. Would have loved a carving station and more different dessert choices. Servers were so nice but lacked experience. Dinner show was not the same - no bells or horn.

Lots of fun

By Diverpatrick28 |

German family style restaurant , you sit at big tables with other people and eat and drink, .they have music and shows going all the time. It was buffet when we were there .

Good food and all you care to eat

By mlbpafan |

We have eaten here before, back when it was a buffet. With the current times, they bring the food to the table and you can get more of anything you like. The problem is you have to rely on the wait staff to get it! It was a bit pricey, but the food was excellent. Hot and tasty and the helpings were perfect, though we did ask for a bit more. The problem is the service wasn't as good as the food. We have never had a problem with the staff here before, but they just had to get drinks before. I don't know if there just not used to serving food, but our waitress was not good. We will return here, but only AFTER the buffet returns and we can help ourselves.

Loved it! The food was good and the entertainment was fun!

By Taylor |

We loved the buffet; there were a lot of options that included sausages, salads, meats, vegetables, desserts, all kinds of food. The band was also really fun and great to listen to. The atmosphere was really cool and you really feel like you are a art of the experience. One small issue we ran into was that we were seated at a community table. We would've been perfectly fine with this but the family we were seated with were not friendly and had no interest in sharing conversion with us and acted as though it was an inconvenience that we were seated with them. It is also important to note that the band does not play constantly so it may be a good idea to look up times that they are playing. We got to catch the end of one show and the beginning of another.

Good food, but not fully satisfied

By awesom35 |

This German Epcot Restautant has always been a favorite, but due to the pandemic, they don’t have all of their usual menu items, this is understandable, but they should at the very least post a note at the entrance or tell you before you enter. They did not have my favorite food, Sour Brutton? That’s their main dish, and the reason I visited again. The whole dinner was $172 including tips for 2 adults & a child with a pint of beer & a glass of wine. I thought this was excessive given the lack of original menu items & lack of German atmosphere due to Covid-19. Despite this, food was good & plentiful, yet we felt for the price & lack of of German atmosphere which we wanted to experience, we were short changed.

A taste of Germany

By sanmudge |

A little taste of Bavaria. The buffet had a great selection of German food. The entertainment was also good. Much calmer than Oktoberfest.

Fun birthday celebration

By 81FrequentT81 |

I eat here during most of my Disney trips because the food (buffet) is good enough and the atmosphere is really fun. I don’t mind sitting with strangers — we sometimes end up chatting, which adds to the biergarten feel. This time, six of us went here for dinner to celebrate a milestone birthday. We had put in an order to get a special birthday cake but our waiter hadn’t been told. Still, he found us a delicious chocolate mousse cake shaped like the old school mouse ears hat. It was perfect. Somehow the timing worked out that we saw the show twice, which was a great.

The worst German food restaurant ever

By TorontoGuy12 |

We book this restaurant two month in advance. The food was horrible. It was extremely salty. There was not much food and very little variety. It is not a representation of German food. I am not German but I have been to Germany many time, Germany has much better food. The service was bad. Our waitress, Marley, was slow. We tried to get her attention for drink refiles. She ignored us but was very fast pushing the check before we even finished eating. The entertainment was infantile. The German has rich culture. It was embarrassing. I have asked for the manager but there was not one available (weird). It was very expensive for the food at the buffet. It does not worth it. I suggest you pick another restaurant.

What happened to this place? Food was terrible...prices outrageous

By lip89 |

Another place I used to like but has seriously declined food wise. I love the Germany pavilion at Epcot and this restaurant was one of my top favorites but for the price of over $200 for a family of four, an all you can eat buffet of German food is a bit steep. Plus the quality of the food was not great. The food tasted like it had been sitting out for a while and I was shocked at how some of it was ok, the rest was terrible. For this price we could of eaten four quick service meals. As much as I used to love this place, I will have to decline coming back.

Lacked Children’s Food Options

By JMG226 |

I had high hopes for this restaurant as an alternative to always doing pizza or Italian. I was a little skeptical of the place for dinner with a three year old, but the kid’s menu had hotdogs, Mac n cheese, a d applesauce. Three of my kid’s favorite things. So i was a little disappointed when we got there and it wasn’t a generic kid’s hot dog (had a very different flavor), and the Mac and Cheese was a casserole type of dish (which my kid argued with my that it wasn’t really Mac and cheese). We tried to make the best of it, but ended up paying the bill and looking for pizza at the end. I think the restaurant would have been fine had it been just adults, but it was tough with a picky toddler. I would suggest curious restaurant goers really look at the menu prior to booking.

An experience not to be missed

By Traveltruth1 |

It’s the end of a long wonderful day at Epcot and you just want to sit down to a good meal before watching the fireworks and driving home. Hopefully, you made a reservation ahead of time for the Biergarten restaurant so you can go right in and help yourself to the buffet. The atmosphere surrounds you with a quaint German village, complete with water wheel and rising full moon, as well as a live band ready to start your meal off with a bang. Food selections range from mixed green salad, and other salads such as macaroni, potato, and cold sausage. Follow that with roast chicken and or pork, bratwurst, potato cakes, sauerbraten, fried chicken and pork, sautéed green beans, roasted potatoes, macaroni and cheese, and meatballs with red wine sauce. The beer and cheese soup is a must as is the pretzel rolls. Everything was fresh and plentiful and flavors were excellent. Even the little ones are bound to find something they like. The service was professional and came with a smile and the bathrooms were clean. If you’ve never tried the Biergarten, there’s no reason to skip it again. You can thank me later.

Return visit

By Leaner65 |

This is our 2nd time here. We had a 7 pm reservation but we had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. The tables are for 8 people. We were seated and placed our drink order. The people are are table were very nice and we all had a good time. The buffet is very good with a lot of options including a very large salad bar. The waitress was great and always checking on us for refills.

Fun place! Good food.

By Virginia S |

Fun place! Buffet was $49 per adult, includes non-alcoholic options. Does not include gratuity. Lots of classic German food, sausage, pork schnitzel, meatballs, apple strudel, sauerkraut. Tons of options. Unlimited visits to the buffet. Food for kids too. Live band. Enjoyed our time there!

Loved this place

By kaygy66 |

We stopped for a late lunch not knowing what to expect and we loved this place! It was just my husband and me and we were sat with a family of 4 and one other couple. You don't have to visit with others at your table, you can keep to yourself, but we ended up enjoying our table mates very much which added to the fun. The buffet has so much food! Honestly, if anyone complains there isn't enough food, I would be shocked. The entertainment was so much fun too. I wanted to go back again before we had to leave, but unfortunately couldn't work that out. Don't miss this fun restaurant when you go to Epcot, it's worth a visit.

Nice place

By LostInTime |

I went here for dinner. It’s a buffet. There are a decent number of choices. The server was super nice. I really liked the desserts.

Very good food, horrible service.

By mmabend |

We have dined here at least 8 times over the last dozen years. The food is always good, authentic, and reminds me of living in Germany. It is way over priced (but it is WDW where no good deals are found). Two of us had the lunch buffet, soda and desert using the dining plan. Had we paid table side, our bill would have been $97.98. Additionally we got all our food from the buffet line, yet the bill had suggested tips at 18% and 20% (for self-service, except drinks). Our second coffee took every bit of 20 minutes. By then we only wanted to pay our tip and leave. Sonja, our waitress from north eastern Germany, is a delightful young lady, excellent English and helped me with my broken German. The service we received was the worst I can remember in eleven visits to WDW.

Lots of buffet food, average and not memorable.

By Frank Sinatra |

Buffet, so help yourself. I was looking forward to the Wiener Schnitzel. It was just " Good". The bad part was I tried almost everything else and the Wiener Schnitzel was the best that I had. For the money try some other place to eat. Everything in WDW should be great. Not so here. We did see the show, very short, but nice.

Travel to Germany in Epcot.

Travel to Germany in Epcot. German taste. Worth trying an all-you-can-eat buffet with traditional German food. Fun show resembles a mini Oktoberfest.

Great fun, food and beer

By C.A.S |

Fourth of July visit with two families of four with children aged 10 & 8. Food was great German cuisine, beer excellent and the entertainment was good enough to keep the kids dancing. Very much recommended.

Excellent

By Traveler36823458845 |

First time eating here as a family. Made reservations using genie plus. Food was excellent as well as service. Except to pay $49 per person for buffet.

So bad

By tmde |

This was our first time eating here and it is our last. Service was fine and the band is terrific. The food was horrible. It was the worse food we’ve ever eaten. I shudder thinking of it. The bread was cold. The apps were not great. The sausages & meatballs were gross. The pork and chicken were very dry. And all of the main meal was flavorless, no salt, nothing. Even the desserts were not good. We kind of picked at it because we paid for it, but we’ll never go back.

Ok for COVID times....

By Lu |

We were here last December with little ones who had a blast dancing to the music and this is what they wanted to do this time but unfortunately couldn’t because of COVID concerns. Understandable but a huge bummer. Food served family style. 1 serving for a family of 4 was enough. Apps were good dinner was good wish there was maybe smaller portions with more options for each. Deserts were fantastic!!! Wait service was ok. We were seated across from another table which it couldve been more staggered like some other restaurants. Atmosphere is great same place. We will definitely go back regardless...hoping for better next time.

Great food

By thwingfan |

Dined here during our visit to Epcot. Lots of good choices to pig out on, even got to enjoy some German music as well.

This is a Must-see place if you've never gone

By Travel Wright Vacations |

The Biergarten is in the very back of the Germany pavilion in Epcot. Which is fantastic, because walking through Germany to get to the German restaurant only adds to the ambiance. Upon entering the restaurant, it looks like an outdoor biergarten under a starry sky. There is even a live German band playing music, and a dance floor for those who wish to cut loose while you dine. The table and chairs are wooden and complete the look to the restaurant theme. We made reservations to this restaurant 3 months in advance, and there were limited seating availabilities at that time. Early reservations are highly recommended. We arrived about 10 minutes early to our reservations and were seated immediately. Our server attended our table right away, and was very friendly, informative, and helpful. Dining Experience The price for this restaurant is a set fee, based on age (adult/child), as it is a buffet. The food of course was German fare, and there was something for everyone to enjoy. Some of the items available were salad, cheese and beer soup, pretzel bread, sausages, schnitzel, chicken, & green beans. The dessert table had brownies, black forest cake, and a light fluffy cheesecake. Drinks were German beers, and white wines mostly (which happen to be some of my favorite). They also offer beer flights, so you can try 4 different German beers. As soon as you are seated, your drink orders are taken, and then you are able to go straight to the buffet, so there is no wait time before getting your meal. The food was all presented well, and fresh. Pros and Cons Pros: Great food, Live Music, Taste of Germany, Great scenery, buffet style food (able to sample a little of everything) Cons: May not be able to walk in (Reservations needed), buffet style food (nothing is individually prepared), a bit on the pricey side Overall Rating is 3.8. This is a Must-see place if you've never gone, but not a place that you have to go to each and every visit to Epcot. The ambiance, scenery, and live music are what draws me most to this place, and in my opinion makes it totally worth it.

Nice surprise,WDW does it again

By sillysull |

Nice surprise. We have thought that we ate in all the WDW great places but yet WDW has amazed us once again. Lunch and a show. The salads were delicious as were the main courses and deserts. The coffee was fresh also. And the German band was fantastic!!!!! We will come back. Glen was an excellent server.

German Dinner and a Show

By nicolemK7827JB |

Awesome experience in Epcot. Our waiter was from Bavaria and so nice. The food is buffet but well done. The stage show was great complete with Ricola horns!

Festive Meal

By newarkdelawaregin |

Dined here as part of the candlelight festival. We were seated with a family of six and enjoyed dining with them. Our server was very efficient. Music/show was good and everyone seemed to enjoy it. Sauerbraten was so dry as to be inedible but everything else was pretty good and about on par with typical buffet food. Desserts were pretty good and they offered a nice custard sauce.

Awful. Don’t waste your money

By Prexie |

I would give this zero stars if it was possible. WDW is so expensive already but to spend nearly a hundred dollars per person on really awful food hurts. This is a buffet and I tried many things and liked none of them. There were 4 of us for dinner and we all thought the food was truly awful. I didn’t bother with desserts. Service was very good and our waitress didn’t seem surprised to be removing full plates of food. Disney needs to do something about this place.

Just throw your money in the nearest trashcan instead.

This place is an absolute rip off that will lead you to lose faith in humanity. The food is on par with a microwaved dinner and you're charged $50 per adult. You're honestly better off microwaving a hotdog in your hotel room. I can bet my life savings the people that gave this place a good review are often found in the McDonald's drive thru.

A Great Meal, Great Atmosphere, Great Beer!

By Debbie (DJ) Thompson |

Our family really enjoyed this restaurant. We made reservations before arriving to Disney. The Biergarten was bigger than I had expected and more people. It was big but it was cozy and welcoming! The buffet was all we could ask for! The sausages and meatballs were delish! Our server was always checking to see if we needed anything. The musicians were fun and invited guests to come and dance. I had the Grapefruit Beer and it was sooo good! This beer along with some others are made on site. Our son brought his family back the next night for dinner. A+

Just ok. Wouldn't go again.

By ThePelikans |

We had reservations here on a weekday evening for dinner. It was almost completely empty. They sat us at a table where other people were already sitting. They explained they have a family style atmosphere here. I didn't care for this because the other group was all adults and we had small kids with us. There were dozens and dozens of open tables available. I should have spoke up. I didn't realize it, but I also didn't do any research, this is a buffet restaurant. So it's good if you want to stuff yourself. The food was decent. Nothing to write home about. The entertainment was also ok. I think it would have been much better if the place was packed. We did this on our dining plan, otherwise it's very overpriced. It is not appropriate to suggest an 18% gratuity for a buffet restaurant. Would not go again.

Not a big deal.

Quite a big place, full at all hours since it is located in the old town where you visit the fishermen’s bastion, the food was not bad the very tired waiters forgot about us, there is much better...

Fab atmosphere

By Magenta74 |

We had a great table by the dance floor so we were really close to the show. The setting for this meal is so much fun, and our server was very good and friendly. The food here isn’t my favourite but it’s good and there is plenty of it. My teen son loves this restaurant and even my fussy eater mum left feeling stuffed!

excellent food and service

By rameyfamily |

My sisters and I had reservations here for lunch. It was a nice break from the heat in an air conditioned restaurant with table service. It was a fixed price ($46) for a three-course all you can eat meal. Soft drinks were included. We started with potato, macaroni and cucumber salads and pretzel rolls. Everything is served family style at the table so you help yourself and pass things around. After the salads and rolls, platters of meat and additional vegetables were served. There were meatballs, roasted chicken, bratwurst, and several other meats as well as sauerkraut, cabbage and other vegetables. Everything was very good and more was served of each item upon request. The dessert consisted of several tasty options. Service was fast and friendly and a German band played during most of the meal. Although expensive, this is a great meal with a show and a chance to relax a little while in the park. I would go again.

A bit different than the beirgarten of old but still excellent

By Freight Train |

How does a buffet survive in a covid world? Family style. Gorge yourself silly on solid food and beer and enjoy that miserable waddle back to the resort busses but worth it every time. Enjoyed beer and wine flight this time instead of the usual liter of beer so enjoyed changing that up. It was excellent that the band stayed and didn’t get the covid axe. It lends an excellent charm to the place.

Fun!

By krdotson |

Great food options ! Fun atmosphere! Great service . Dinner with a fun show . Loved it! Would be awesome as a full service restaurant.

Cuisine wasn’t all authentic German

By KatiLu |

The food was good. Sauerbraten was exceptional, plenty of ‘wursts to choose from, but plenty of authentic German dishes missing.

Disappointed with the price

By 32janr50 |

This was my 6th time visiting. Always my favorite restaurant to eat and look so forward to going. Not this year they now charge same price for lunch and dinner. My other visits were always $100 for a party of 4. This year a party of 4 was $200 for lunch! First time not even ordering a beer as that would have put us over the $200. The selection in the buffet has also got a bit smaller especially the dessert selection. So now it is double the price and less to choose from. Will not be going back again which is sad as it was always a favorite in the past.

Gone down hill :(

By Brucie1216 |

Our 6th time there. The band is always great!! However, the food the last 2 times has been less than enjoyable. It used to be good but now it seems all pre-made and commercialized like a cafeteria. Seating was poor this time as well as we were sat on the outer edge near the bathrooms. Disappointing!

Typical Disney rip off

By eja117 |

It's a fairly relaxing buffet. Whoop de doo. Modest food. Fine show. Then you get the bill and think "That's not possible. I only ordered like 2 drinks." Nope. It's just a rip off. The waitress wasn't that attentive either. This experience is typical of Disney in 2022. Disney doesn't bring it any more.

If You Go Away Hungry It's Your Fault!

By Ron K |

This is an All-You-Can-Eat buffet. If you can't find something to eat here there's a problem. The challenge is not to eat too much. Also keep in mind that a Litre of beer is quite large. The band was fantastic. They put on a great show. Enjoy!

Outstandingly Good!

By XStark1ll3rX |

Superb from start to finish. Waitress was very attentive & got seated quickly. Food was incredible. The snitzel, bread, everything! The drink portions are also HUGE. Overall, highlight meal of our holiday.

Best meal at Disney!

By Lauren O |

We had a wonderful dinner at the Biergarten Restaurant. We didn't have a booking, but the staff at the front were very accommodating and very friendly. We only had a short wait and were seated at our table. Our sever was so lovely and friendly and made us feel very welcome. The food was delicious, and felt very much like we were in a German Beer Hall (even though we were in rainy Florida!). The show that was on during dinner was great entertainment and made the whole experience feel very authentic. Would definitely recommend.

Exceptional

By travelergirl96 |

The food here at this buffet is spectacular! Everything had a wonderful flavor and cooked perfectly. The show is second to none as well. Very entertaining.

Average food. Nothing special.

By Anne and BobJ |

Average food. Nothing special. The buffet does have a very large selection of German food. If you have never had it you will get the opportunity to sample many different dishes. I found most of them to be bland and without a real authentic quality. The restaurant itself is very nice, the staff was very helpful and friendly, the beer was very good, but the food was just okay. At $46 per person I would have expected better quality.

Germany style buffet

By MissL219 |

We came here for dinner on our 1st full evening in Epcot. It's a buffet style restaurant with a variety of German dishes. The mac and cheese and meats were really good. There was also a good choice of desserts. There was live music playing throughout the meal which added to the theme.

Fun restaurant with food options for everyone

By DisneyMama |

This is the one table serve restaurant we chose for our Aug trip. We love eating in Epcot and we like trying the places we haven't tried yet .. so we went with Biergarten this time around. I chose this restaurant because I have two kids with me (age 14 and 11), the 11 year old is a little pickier so I wanted something with options. And I figured the entertainment would keep them occupied. The food was good. As expected there was tons of options and everyone was happy with their meals. We all had more than one plate of food + dessert so it made it a little more worth it as it was an expensive meal (I'm Canadian thou so everything in the states is expensive to me with factoring in exchange rate!) The entertainment was A+!! It was a german band that played multiple instruments and encouraged people to dance (a couple kids came to the floor which was adorable). They were so talented and a pleasure to watch! The atmosphere was just beautiful as well and the staff were super friendly. Everything about Biergarten was awesome!

Kaput!

By sara h |

We have loved going to the Biergarten each and every visit to WDW but our last visit was SO disappointing. The food was all awful. Not just mediocre but AWFUL. Cold, tasteless. Soggy schnitzel and spotty spaetzle. Ironically enough the best thing was the beer cheese soup (subsequently we could skip our trip to Canada's Le Cellier) which was excellent -- and we had never seen that on the Biergarten's buffet before. It was the only redeeming thing about the visit. So if you are okay with paying 6o dollars for a good bowl of soup then go for it but otherwise wait until Biergarten returns to its former glory.

Customer centered cast members

By Amy M |

This was the first time that we ate here and had made an advanced reservation. Before our trip, they had contacted my mom to let her know they were changing from family style to buffet style and if she wanted to cancel the reservation. When we checked in, they cast members had asked if there were any food allergies without my mom having to say anything about her food allergy. When we were seated, the chef came out and informed us that the food in the buffet did not have the food item that my mom was allergic to. I thought that was nice as he could have just had our server, Debbie give us that information. Debbie was a very attentive server and gave us some suggestions on the food. While we were there, we got to enjoy a performance from the band. They did an amazing job, we really enjoyed when they performed with cowbells. We will definitely eat here again.

Still our favorite

By newtOhio |

We love this restaurant and this is our only must do during every trip. We were concerned that it might have lost something after Covid restrictions but it’s still great. In fact it’s improved as you aren’t seated with strangers. Hope that part stays. Buffet is still delicious. Entertainment is still a lot of fun. Our server was efficient and pleasant. He also suggested a to go cup for my daughter’s beer( it was larger than she anticipated) and she gladly took it with her. We will return.

Fun Place, Fabulous Food

By MeaganRH |

This was a really fun EXPERIENCE!! It was just like being in a little German village. My daughter loved the band. They were good about audience interaction & getting everyone riled up & excited. The food was interesting in a good way! We enjoyed sampling the different types of sausage. The meatballs & noodle gratin are what won be over though. Also, the salad trio is to die for. The strawberry cake dessert was a special treat too.

Ridiculously priced

By Michael M |

Food was par at best. The meal was over $200 for two adults and two childeren. That buys A lot of sauerkraut and sausage.

Nice Visit But Food Could Be Better

By PackUpNGoNow |

We recently visited EPCOT during its International Festival of the Holidays. We decided to do the Candlelight Processional dining package with a large group of friends and family at the Biergarten Restaurant (World Showcase - Germany) ($71 for a seat at the Candlelight Processional show and an all you can eat buffet that included one beverage, beer or wine). But for the food, we enjoyed our visit to Biergarten. Although the restaurant is indoor, the setting is a staged outdoor courtyard with a waterwheel, building fronts and for the holidays, swags of holly and twinkling lights. There are three levels that overlook the stage. Although we were seated at the far end, we had a good view of the show that included a three man polka band, a musical glasses performance, music played with cow bells and alpenhorns and holiday music. We appreciated that we were not rushed during our early 4 p.m. dinner - we were able to see the music program twice . While we enjoyed the excellent service, ambiance and fun entertainment, we felt the food could have been much better. It seemed like most of the food was prepared off-site and simply heated up for service. We would have preferred a few well-prepared dishes to the large selection of meh dishes. The Biergarten buffet was very large with many choices. The best dishes were the very good baked salmon and a tangy cold beet salad. The large salad bar was disappointing - we could taste no dill in the cucumber salad and the potato salad had undercooked potatoes. The star of the dinner should have been a thinly pounded pork schnitzel with a light crispy breading - instead the pork schnitzel was a thick slice of meat that resembled a frozen chicken nugget. Other dishes included a tender sauerbraten that was too similar in flavor to the sliced veal in gravy, plain roast chicken, tasty meatballs, dense bread meatballs (not good), a thick bland cheese sauce touted as a soup, pretzel rolls that were as hard as a pretzel, hard spaetzle, sliced sausages (cold) and a liverwurst spread. Kids' meal dishes included a bland macaroni and cheese and chicken nuggets. Desserts were disappointing: a dense apple strudel with a thick overcooked filling and pretty mini pastries that included a black forest dessert and a caramel dessert that each had layers that tasted like instant pudding. Park Admission: EPCOT admission required Annual Passholder Discount: no Annual Passholder discount for the Candlelight Processional dining package

Better than expected food and entertainment.

By Loonbeam |

I generally try to avoid Disney buffets, except for the occasional character meal, usually because the food is mediocre. This was a pleasant surprise. There was a decent variety of really solidly prepared German specialties. Definitely heavy on the meat and potatoes, not for the veggie-focused (I think there was one green item not a salad). The German musicians did a perfectly serviceable tour of German music styles. Maybe not the best but they obviously have fun doing it and the crowd got really engaged. Service was excellent, drinks refilled promptly, suggestions made and tables kept cleared. And unlike most buffets in Disney I didn't feel pressured to eat as fast as possible, even though the venue was busy.

Delicious

By bcslider |

There was not one thing on the buffet that I had yesterday that I did not like! I will do almost anything for some good red cabbage, and that was on the mark. Surprised how much I liked the currywurst...look forward to next time!

Music music music

By NYTravelingAddict |

The live entertainment and atmosphere with a decent buffet made this a nice night. The buffet was good - beef, salmon, chicken, etc...the cheesecake was the best dessert. You sit w/ other people at long communal tables - we had 8 people at our table. If you're social then it's a good time, otherwise kind of awkward. We were lucky to have kind people right next to us so it was a good time. The only negative would be the 30 minute wait even with reservations. There's really no where to sit outside so it's annoying. If I had to book again, I'd book for at least 30 mins before when we normally eat.

Highly enjoyable

By LostInTime |

I went here for dinner. The waitress was great. The food is buffet style. The food was pretty good. There was also a German band playing. Overall good food and a lot of fun. I’d go again.

Wonderful from Beginning to End

By Karen S |

The service was incredible. The food was fantastic. The entertainment was thoroughly entertaining. We had 3 generations at dinner and everyone from toddlers to seniors had a great experience!

Great food, interesting seating

By Vickvanb |

We had a lovely meal here as the food was great!! However, I just don't like having to be seated with other guests as I just want to talk to my family and not have to be socialable!! That's just my personal preference!! The atmosphere was great, friendly servers and a great experience!!

Prost to this authentic German buffet restaurant

By Audra C |

This was our first experience dining at Biergarten restaurant. It was so beautiful inside. The food and selection were outstanding, as well as the service from our server, Shirley. I had a pretzel roll with butter and mixed greens with their homemade ranch dressing. I also tried cucumber salad and the cold German potato salad. I chose pork schnitzel for my protein and green beans. I also had peas and carrots. I tried roasted potatoes, hot German potato salad, and potato pancakes with sour cream and applesauce. For dessert, I tried apple strudel and the black forest cake. I couldn't make room for anything else. My family enjoyed it too. The German band was awesome! It was nice trying food from my heritage.

Share a table

By Zsbt4266 |

Food is okay but, you have to sit with other people. It was a little uncomfortable to say the least. 8 people per table and they cram you in.

Fun dining experience

By Frankie O |

The entertainment here is what sells this place. The food is nice, ok quality, but it's a Disney buffet, so don't expect anything mind blowing. We enjoyed everything we had, but it's not overly memorable. What is memorable is the entertainment, how inclusive it was with people of all ages and abilities getting involved at the front, enjoying themselves and the people on stage were excellent, so engaging and fun.

BLAND WALLMART frozen food. Run away!! Never felt so angry

By Nicky |

I am so disappointed. After seeing rave reviews, I was really excited to try it. Didn’t eat all day in prep for it. If you like BLAND WALLMART microwaved food and want to spend $50 on it, this is the place for you. Think frozen section of Wall Mart. Frozen Hot dogs, soggy cafeteria chicken fingers, church salads, Mac and cheese made my a 5 year old who forgot to add salt. A wall mart feast is the only way to describe this. The Mac and cheese is trash and so is the rest of the food. Not a single item was good- even the potatoes were soggy and under seasoned. Even the dessert was mediocre to say the least. I’m vegetarian and my partner is not and we both agreed this is the worst place. Please do not be fooled by the rave reviews. If bland church pot luck food is your thing, this is the place for you. The live entertainment was good and the staff were nice. But the food is pure horror and I never leave bad reviews but this place 100% needs to know it’s trash. Really sad people save money and work hard to afford a Disney trip and this worst than McDonald’s or anything really shouldn’t be happening. This is the most under seasoned and sad place. Please do not listen to the good reviews and make reservations at the other restaurants. Anything has to be better than this.

Birthday dinner - great German food/entertainment

By Patty M |

This Epcot restaurant is booked months in advance. All sit down dining must have a reservation. Our Disney concierge got us a reservation when someone cancelled and we were so excited. It’s like walking into a quaint German town. Food is served buffet style with two lines. They have all of the great German foods. We skipped most of the salads except the hot German potato salad which was so good. The schnitzel and gravy was nice and hot. Sauerkraut was homemade and the hot red cabbage. I really enjoyed the sauerbraten with the pearl onions and gravy and the spatzle. The Bavarian cheesecake was so light and yummy. Only negative was the app,e strudel because the crust was too thick and not flaky. The show performed in English and German was fantastic. Polka music, metal bells, alpine horns, accordion, trumpet and lots of singing. We felt like we had been transported to Germany.

A Fun Experience

By BearFacts |

This is our second visit to the Biergarten. Both times we have really enjoyed the band, the food, and the experience. Both times we enjoyed the people we were seated with, however, on our most recent visit our party took up most of the table. We like how the band draws the guests in. The food is a buffet and it is typical buffet food. The price is a bit high but we enjoyed our time there.

Best dining experience of our trip

By harpchick1 |

We had an amazing dinner at Biergarten this evening! It was a last minute reservation and I had no expectations. There was an excellent live band that kept the kids entertained. And the buffet is great - best saurbrauten I have ever had. Wonderful evening, highly recommend.

Very good

Great restaurant, typical German food, with live presentation and music. The service was also very attentive. I recommend.

Just ok food, enjoyed the entertainment

By Matthew G |

During a recent day in Epcot, my wife and I made a lunch reservation at the Biergarten Restaurant in the Germany section of the park, since we enjoy trying the restaurants in the World Showcase, and it was one that neither of us had tried in the past. Overall, eating in this cool, dark restaurant was a good way to escape the heat, and we enjoyed the fun German-themed ambiance and live entertainment. Without that, it wouldn’t have been the best, since the food was generally unremarkable and it was overpriced at $46 per person. Visiting the Biergarten during the pandemic worked particularly well for us, since certain things about it that made us wary in the past have been modified in our favor now. For example, we aren’t fans of buffets, which the restaurant used to be, but the food is currently served family-style instead. Seating also used to be at long, communal tables where you could be seated with strangers, which also isn’t happening right now and is something that we wouldn’t like. We checked in for our meal a bit early using the My Disney Experience app, and very quickly received a notification that our table was ready. There were a large number of people waiting in the lobby area of the restaurant (I’m not sure if they were walk-ins or also had reservations), so I was glad that our arrival process was so easy with no wait. The restaurant is rather large, with tables situated amphitheater-style on several levels to have a view of the main stage where the German polka band performs. The band is a lot of fun, and puts on a very engaging and interesting show for all ages. We were seated on one of the levels that is the furthest back, and it would have been nice to be a bit closer to see the band better. It was a little hard to hear what they were saying when they’d talk to the audience, but the music itself was always loud and clear. The band would come out on stage and perform one set per hour, and each set was about 15-20 minutes long. Since a performance began right around the time we sat down, the lull between sets felt a bit long as our meal went on. We ended up making sure to stay for a second set before leaving. Our server was friendly and came over quickly once we sat down to go over the meal and address any allergies. She was very fast-moving and fast-talking, which contributed to feeling like service was a bit rushed. To start, my wife and I each got a ½ liter of beer to drink. I tried the grapefruit hefeweizen, which was perfect for someone like me who doesn’t really drink much beer. It was almost like a beer-based version of a bellini or mimosa. My wife had the König Ludwig Weissbier, which was a wheat beer that she enjoyed. The meal began very quickly after we were seated, with our server bringing us “warm” pretzel rolls and a selection of cold salads (potato salad, tomato salad, and macaroni salad). The rolls would have been good, except for the fact that they were cold and hard, and clearly had been sitting around, not at all “warm” as described. The cold salads, however, were quite good, and we enjoyed all of them. It would have been nice to have more time to just sit and enjoy the ambiance/music while enjoying those initial appetizers, but our server came back too soon while we were still enjoying that first course to give us the rest of the food on family-style platters. I would say the food is a very gentle introduction to German cuisine, meant to be family-friendly. Meats included a chicken schnitzel (good enough, but very closely resembling chicken fingers), roasted chicken (bland and boring), along with bratwurst and two or three other sausages that we couldn’t remember. The sausages were generally good, other than one that was basically just boiled hot dogs. There were a variety of sides on the platters, including nudel gratin (macaroni and cheese that was good), sauerkraut, spätzle (basically a buttered German pasta), green beans, another potato salad, and meatballs. The meatballs had an over-powering salty sauce that unfortunately bled into the spätzle and kind of ruined the spätzle for us. I would have preferred if items were brought out in more separate bowls/plates to avoid this, and it was just odd that one item was so salty, because I’d describe the food as bland overall. We did generally like the food. We commented immediately that much of it was really basic, meant to appeal to even the pickiest kids (the schnitzel, macaroni and cheese, and spätzle could easily make a great kids’ meal), and those items were still pleasing to us as adults too. However, most of the food was colder than it should have been, and nothing was particularly amazing. It was mostly “good enough” and just a few things were bad and missed the mark for us. Either way, since it’s a family style meal with lots of options, we were totally stuffed by the end and declined the server’s offer to refill anything. Dessert is also served family style and has multiple options. Apple strudel with vanilla sauce was served on its own plate, along with a separate platter of a light German cheesecake, a black forest roll cake, and chocolate chip cookies. The desserts were a mixed bag. The apple strudel had a bland/stale taste to it and would have been much better served warm, not cold as it was (a pattern with the food here). The black forest cake was also pretty bad with a very fake-tasting cherry center. However, we actually really enjoyed the cheesecake, and the chocolate chip cookies were standard and good. We were done all of the courses of our meal in under an hour, which I found to be much too fast. First, being served that quickly with a large family-style meal just makes it hard to enjoy and try everything. There were lots of things for us to sample, but with food constantly being thrown at us in such a fast-paced manner, it was hard to eat as much as we wanted without getting incredibly full too quickly. It would have been nice for it to be more leisurely, or for the server to even ask when we were ready to move on to the next course instead of just bringing things. To make up for the meal being rushed, and to make sure we could stay for a second band performance, we finished our beers at a leisurely pace. The server did not try to rush us out at the end, and specifically told us to take our time, so I was confused about why everything was so rushed and compressed early in the meal. Overall, I was glad we tried Biergarten, as I’ve been curious about it for years and we finally had an opportunity to go. If you’re interested in the fun entertainment and the German-style food, I think it can be worth it, but don’t expect it to be amazing by any means. I actually think it would be a great place for kids, since there’s a show to keep them occupied, and it’s a loud bustling place with mostly all crowd-pleasing “German” food. We won’t be running back on future trips, but might consider it again at some point further in the future.

Very good ... but, patron beware!

By JKWilson195 |

Four of us in my family had a great lunch at the Biergarten at EPCOT in the Germany area. The food was a buffet and it was very good. The musical entertainment was a lot of fun. We had a good time until the bill came. My son and I split the check between two credit cards. Each bill came back suggesting that we each tip on the FULL AMOUNT. My bill was for $115.02 and the bill suggested that I tip $38.88 for 18% and 43.20 for 20%. No ... 18% of $115.02 is $20.70, not $38.88. 20% of $115.02 is $23.00, not $43.20. My son recognized what they were doing and we tipped correctly. But we left feeling they were trying to rip us off! Pay attention! Patron beware!

Fun but...not worth the cost

By jeff198080 |

We have been to the Biergarten before, pre Covid and had a wonderful time so we decided to go back post Covid and see how it stands up. The menu was about the same but served "family style" to your table. The food came out slightly warm at best. The flavors were just OK. Our server was prompt with the food but once the food arrived he was not seen again so no drink refills. The band was enjoyable but the set seem shorter. In the end, this was not worth the high cost so your money is best spent elsewhere.

Fantastic food and atmosphere

The food was delicious and well worth it, the show was terrific too. Had a great time. The Saurkraut/Bratwurst, meatballs, potato pancakes were some of my favorites!

Amazing all you can eat buffet restaurant. Best in Epcot .

By Alvin C |

Amazing restaurant. If you are in Epcot and you are very hungry this is the place! Food is amazing great flavor and this is a all you can eat buffet. Sausage, pork, potatoes, bread, deserts... and more!

Good food. Fun entertainment. But....

By Steve the Traveller |

Good food. Fun entertainment. Expensive! Two adults $92 for a buffet? It’s my second time here but with beer on top of it it’s hard to justify a $150 (USD) meal for my son and myself.

Fun,good and different!

By Papaw25 |

Something for everyone! Very allergy friendly with a large menu. German style with some really great desserts! The staff was really friendly with plenty of helpful tips on the food. Entertainment was fun and strived to get the crowd involved! This meal was included in the Disney meal plan. Otherwise it is pricey but then everything at Disney is pricey. Plenty of seating room and comfortable surroundings. Would go back!

Dinner & a Show

By Dbornak |

Thrilled to see the musicians with the authentic instruments. The atmosphere was beautiful - like sitting outdoors in a German village. The buffet was delicious - and the waiter was very helpful with my gluten allergy. There was only a handful of things I couldn’t eat (schnitzel for obvious reasons) but everything else was made with GF ingredients. Disney does a fabulous job with this. And our waiter brought me two plates of (2 each) individually wrapped and warmed GF dinner rolls and a bowl of GF desserts (pre-packaged). I haven’t eaten soft warm bread in ages and sorry to say I would pay $60 all over again just for that experience. This probably is not a great place for many children or small children if you’re on a budget because it is on the pricier side and most kids don’t eat that much in one sitting. Husband is still talking about the Apple strudel.

Wunderbar!

Fun family atmosphere with delicious and plentiful food. You'll feel like you've stepped into a German fairy tale. Huge buffet, refillable drinks served in steins, and lively music that beckons you to a simpler time. Wonderful, tasty experience in Epcot!

Better Than I Expected

By ZsaZsa |

I don't like German food. I'm 100% German, my mom was from Germany, but I just don't like it. Why choose this restaurant, you ask? It was one of maybe 4 other choices for the Garden Rocks dining pkg and we have not been to this one yet in our many visits. How bad could it be? It was great!!! We were seated promptly, at our own table. Our waitress took our drink order and off we went to the buffet. It wasn't busy at all when we got there, so that was a plus. I'm not a big fan of buffets with long lines. I was afraid I wouldn't find anything to eat, but I left full. True, most of it "wasn't my thing", but still plenty. there were a lot of salads to start off with that I skipped. I had the pork cutlet - unfortunately they were small like flat nuggets and really dry. However, everything else was good. Tried a brat, sauerbraten, chicken, pretzel roll..............a few deserts. Best part I noticed right away, everything was HOT and fresh, not all buffets can say that. I felt they did a great job on the decor, it really did feel like Germany to me. We aren't big on live shows, so we were in and out before the show started. Not on the top of my list, only because of the type of food, but have to say I wouldn't hesitate to go again if someone else in our group wanted to!

Family dining now

By luzsbrain |

This was our go to restaurant every time we visit. It was not Buffett due to the pandemic it was family style dining. So they’d bring you dishes in waves. Starting with bread, then salads and meats. It was a waste of food honestly. There was only one type of bread, pretzel bread. The salads were picked beets, macaroni salad, potato salad and cucumber tomato salad. The meats were roasted chicken, meatballs, sausages, sauerkraut, green beans and potatoes. I loved one of the meatballs. There were 5 of us and two sets of everything we got. One would have been enough I think. The ambiance was odd. Besides the band the waitstaff is usually from Germany. I think we saw one person I’m sure prices went up too. A little disappointing.

I recommend giving it a shot. Food was very good and it’s now a place we will east again.

Had a reservation for lunch here. They were running late so we had to wait more than 15 minutes. Due to the pandemic there was no buffet. However our server brought over family style salads and main entrees. You can ask for seconds and as much as you can eat. Alcohol is extra but soda drinks are included. Social distancing was observed. You are allowed to remove your mask once seated at your table. There is a German band that performs at regular intervals. I thought they were pretty good. Our server Sandra was very efficient and friendly. Did I mention the family style desserts? The food was good as well as the experience. Good value for your money.

A must do for our family

By Kristina R |

We love this place and we visit here on every Disney trip. We love the German food and the entire atmosphere is great. The kids love going down to the floor and dancing t0 the music. This is the one place where we don't get complaints from the husbands on the trip. They love the German beer and look forward to eating here as much as the rest of us. Our family trip this year ranged in ages from 5 to 65 and there was something for everyone to eat.

Great atmosphere, food OK

By chiefand2018 |

We had late lunch here. Very good service and with a reservation we didn't wait long to be seated. Great table and the music show was excellent. Food though was just OK. We really like the family style dining and there was certainly more than we could eat, but the quality wasn't what we expected especially for almost $50 per person. Not the place to eat if you expect real German food experience. Sausages were plain, schnitzel was dry and a little tough, skip the chicken all together. Deserts were very good (and plenty of them). But if you like a great looking restaurant, great music show, and good service--this is it.

Good food. Shame about the wait and lack of customer service

By Monko2006 |

Not the best experience here. Had to wait 30 mins for our reservation, which was made even more frustrating by the cast members lack of explanation (or any apology) for the delay and the complete chaos around the reception desk with no apparent leader to take charge. Once seated inside, the server forgot one of our drinks order - with another 15 minute wait for both drinks to be served. Despite all this, the food and choice was excellent. Perhaps we were there at just a bad time for them, but it was disappointing overall.

Great Food and Fun

By NewfieDad |

We made reservations a long time before we arrived at DisneyWorld. We were seated promptly. Service was excellent. The German band was fantastic. We really enjoyed the music. Food was very good, served family style and there was more than enough. Desert was on a platter, and each desert was tasty. My liter of Warsteiner Dunkel was wonderful. We plan to eat here again when we return to EPCOT.

Food & Entertainment Great - Price Not So Great

By RockyTop |

We eat at the Biergarten every year, but the price is getting so high (along with everything else at Disney) that we're going to have to reconsider this family tradition. Not only is the food high, but $15/beer is way too much as well. The same meal in Germany would be a fraction of the cost. I don't see Disney containing prices so we most likely won't be back next year.

Don’t go if you don’t want to sit with others

By Mel |

We wanted to try out restaurants in Disney World that we hadn’t been to before so we chose to go to Biergarten because we heard it had good reviews. Firstly, we were sat with another family, despite being the first in the restaurant, as the tables have eight seats and having strangers watch you while you eat is very off putting. The food was very average and majoritively cold. Despite the beautiful scenery, the lighting made it impossible to take good photos but I’m sure our experience would have been better if we weren’t to early for the live band. Also, the only gluten free dessert option is fruit.

Expected a bit more

By Linda B |

A bit disappointed as we love German food and were looking forward to it. Yes, there was a selection of salads, sausages, desserts, etc., but no Sauerbraten! We felt that with a reduced menu, the price was just too high....$120.35 for 2 dinners and 2 beers. It didn't help that one of us isn't a big sausage fan! The band was entertaining and service was good.

Always good

By winags |

I don't really even care for German food ordinarily, but there are a lot of choices I like here. I really like the soup and the salad choices. They provide an allergen guide to the buffet which is really helpful.

Good buffet and music!

By boymomdfw |

Was happy that they have the musicians back! We enjoyed the buffet. The mac and cheese and the dessert were very good! Haha. Definitely fill up on the drinks and rest your feet.

Nice Bavarian fare

By Gamdii |

We waited about 10 minutes for our prebooked table then when our name was called out o was that of two other groups which seemed fine until we were all put together on a large table. I do t mind socialising but my sons young and felt really uncomfortable, one group was really friendly and engaged in the singing etc but one family just let their child bang the table all the way through the meal and the lil temper tantrums without even acknowledging the we were getting annoyed. I have eaten these foods before and they were tasty and the carved meat was great. The band and show was fantastic and they really got the diners involved, I’d recommend this place as the staff are friendly etc and the foods nice just if you have a nervous kid or you do t like eating infront of strangers at your table then this isn’t for you

Food and the show were amazing. A Family favorite

By Destination87553 |

The food is very good with a wide selection for picky eaters The show is the best part. Watching them play a variety of disney songs with a bell set capped a great day

Family style with German entertainment

By Tom K |

Went to epcot to eat lunch and went here for the first time ever. Place was awesome. Little German village inside and food was awesome. Started with pretzel rolls and macaroni, cucumber and potato salad. Then they bring out bratwurst, Franks, roasted chicken and potatoes, meatballs in gravy, schnitzel, sauerkraut and red cabbage. For dessert 🍨 chocolate chip cookies, apple strudel, cheesecake and black Forrest cake. Highly recommend and be prepared to leave stuffed.

Lots of good fun and fun at the Biergarten!

By Katherine B |

Every wonder what a German Biergarten is like. Wonder no more when you visit this restaurant all done up exactly like a night time version of an authentic German Biergarten Disney Style. The ambiance is amazing, the German stage show is fantastic and the buffet highlights all the best of German cuisine. A must visit if you are touring Epcot! I highly recommend it.

Don’t go after 7:00 PM

By lucky dog |

Made a reservation for 8:15 pm to make sure to see the German band . Unfortunately , they were the best part of the meal . The service was really good and after studying German since the pandemic ( needed something to do!) the staff had no problem showing me I had wasted my time ( all in fun) . The staff was too notch. This is a buffet style serve yourself. The problem with this is that at the 8:00 pm reservation the food was being put away and what was left was so over-warmed and dry that it was a wate of $49.00 per person. What a rip off. My dog would prob eat the rock hard beef but no guarantees. The pork schnitzel was rock hard and sans any flavor . My wife liked the two deserts options that remained . Might be great earlier and the music was fantastic but that about it.

Awesome Food and Atmosphere.

By Brian P |

The food and atmosphere were great. The entertainment and service were outstanding. Dinner here was something that I was really looking forward to. Real and authentic German sausage, beer, and entertainment. Had the Disney Dining Plan so the cost was not too bad. Would definitely come again.

Worth it!

By pa_mom1 |

We have been to Epcot many times, but ate here for the first time this summer. Honestly, we were late making advance reservations, and were just happy to get into the a/c and out of the Florida heat. But it ended up being one of the best meals we had on our trip. The food was family style, and replenished by the server when asked, without hesitation. Our family of four ( me, my husband, 2 adult sons) enjoyed the dinner and especially the deserts. There was a show during dinner that added a fun element to the experience. The server was very attentive, and even came back to our table after we paid to thank us for her tip. The air conditioning was the BEST; I actually felt like I needed to put on a jacket by the time we left. The per-person price may look like a lot, but when you take into consideration that you get appetizers, a main course, desert, and non-alcoholic drinks, it's very much worth it, especially for adults and/or older teenagers. We are glad we went and would go back in the future.

Excellent if you love German Food and Entertainment

By lolasmom08 |

This is exactly what it sets out to be. Large variety of German food and the band is always entertaining. It is mostly unchanged over the last 15 years except for the prices of course (which continue to rise). Try the Bavarian Cheesecake - it is one reason we continue to go. This place also is a good option for vegetarians and vegans. Buffet items are clearly labeled and with the help of an allergy menu you can pick the ones that aren't. On special request the chef provided plant based meatless "steak" tips that were very good so I could still have a main while avoiding meat.

You better be filthy rich 💵

By RarDen2024 |

2 adults 2 small children 1 beer 2 glasses of wine 4 plates of okay food 1 bill = $191. One-hundred-and-ninety-one-dollars. £165ish. *The entertainment isn’t bad…diner expect it to last long though*

A big let down!

By JesseGriffin |

After spending two years in Germany I looked forward to getting "authentic" German food (all I could eat) so when I actually saw what was being offered I was a bit taken back. Nothing was "authentic", the food was just terrible. I would not recommend this buffet for any reason, even the deserts were not good. The German band was not bad and was entertaining.

Disney buffet with a twist

By Michelle D |

A standard Disney buffet with a bit more atmosphere. Food choices are heavy on the Bavarian experience (imagine that!) with bratwurst, sausages, kraut and spaetzle, with a couple of them being particularly tasty but nothing outstanding. About the only reason to eat here is the atmosphere. There is a live polka band and dance floor that adds to the fun of the experience but overall, just another average buffet-style restaurant. We attended once to check it off of our Disney experience list but probably won't return. There are much better options in the parks for food quality.

Service great. Food not so much.

By Erin C |

We always eat at Biergarten when we are in EPCOT. It is my dads favorite restaurant. This trip the service was wonderful and we still got to see the show. However the food left a lot to be desired. I understand that they needed to make a big change due to Covid-19, however the choices we were served were not so great. For $60.00 a person we had Potato Salad, Tomato Salad, and Macaroni Salad. For Entrée: Bratwurst, another sausage, Roast Chicken, Hot Dogs, which were gross, Potato Gratin, Schnitzel, Sauerkraut, purple and red cabbage, Green Beans, Warm Potato Salad which I was the only one that liked this, and Hunter Sauce (not a fan). The dessert was OK. It was not worth almost $400 for 5 people with tip. We will eventually go back once Covid is done and the buffet is back.

Schnitzel, strudel, beer and band!

By WAREAGLE92 |

We made a reservation for the Biergarten in Epcot on Jan 2nd. Some of us had the beer flight. It is a buffet with lots of options. I thought the food was very good—especially the desserts! The entertainment only performs for about 15 minutes every hour but they were fun and it was cute to see little kids on the dance floor. We thought overall it was a fun experience, a nice break from walking thousands of steps around Epcot. Would recommend.

Great Atmosphere

By Nick R |

Our meal here (in the Epcot German restaurant) was a help yourself buffet. Great food, loved the sausages and the beer. We were presented with a live show with men showing off their talent wether it be bell ringing, dancing or horn blowing, all while you ate. We loved spending time here and would definitely return here again in the future.

Again & Again all trhe time

By btw |

For the second time here and again very tasty food & drinks with the wonderful Bavarian music in the background. I will definitely come here again

Must do for our family.

By Kristina R |

This is a must do every trip to Disney. We love the food and atmosphere. Service was good but we’ve had great service here in the past. Just lacking that something extra special this time.

Fun place to eat!

By Wejoy |

We had a great lunch at Biergarten. The food was great and you get a lot of it. You can always ask for more if you would like. Ines was amazing. We really enjoyed talking with her and she took great care of us. It was fun to watch the German band play and entertain us. I do wish they would play for longer. We did make a reservation while in advance and we were seated right away. Just in time to get out of the rain.

Disney Diners Reevaluate Your Dining Plans During Covid

By Mark P |

Normally, Biergarten is always one of our favorite buffets. Great value in the buffets. Things are extremely different, for the buffets particularly, during Covid. I read recent reviews and we were concerned. We dined there on our first day to gauge it. We are foodies and left very disappointed. We cancelled our remaining buffets for out 7 days in the park. During Covid they have switched to family style. Ok with that. Food was terrible. Not as many offerings, and the best dishes were not available. The wife and I were in total agreement. Best food was the meatballs, which we normally don't eat. Chicken is usually decent, but not this time. It had been sitting out for a while, when they served it to us. Yuck! I had 1 big beer. Just the wife and I. Including 20% tip our bill was $135, and it was horrible. I would rather pay more and really enjoy our meal. So, that is what we did. We went to LeCellier in the Canada section. Awesome! Two small beers for me, dinner for two and a couple of sides, no dessert $215. Very pleased

Ocktoberfest is Wunderbar Again

By Carl Eats Here |

Pictures are worth 1000 words. We are back to the Buffet Style again and the food holds up. But it is really about the atmosphere, show and the bier! And don't forget Germany's rare and delicious Pinot Noir! I wish I was there now!

Try it for the experience

By Ta98 |

Fun experience. Great show and most food was very good. Awesome pretzel rolls and salads, lots of food. I recommend giving it a try because the experience is so fun. Our waitress,Karly, was great, and was very attentive and friendly.

Great little hidden Gem

By NewNewEnglander |

We eat here for dinner and lunch and honestly though both menu's are the same we loved it. The atmosphere is a "family" dinning kind and the food is good. It's not over priced or tries to pass itself as "fine dining" as other in park restaurants that are just overpriced shams. We had a great waiter from Cologne and he was polite and recommended some great beer. We enjoyed a show and our kids felt welcomed. The meals for kids are somewhat limited but the fried pork could almost pass for some chicken nuggets. The Mac n Cheese is simple but good and truly the staff are what makes this place great.

Great meal with some traditional Bavarian touches - definitely worth a visit.

By Eleanor F |

This was a really great evening. Food was yum & very authentic. Entertainment was brilliant! Traditional music and alpine horns!! Our family group of 8 with teenagers had lots of fun and thoroughly enjoyed the sing along and cow bell ringing. We booked a table in advance a couple of weeks before our holiday.

Keep checking your room charges

By Eileen Tong |

My husband and I eat here every time we vacation at Disney world . The food was okay not as good as it was in the past. If your not a party of 8 you get seated with other people. We told the waitress we are on the meal plan and she scanned our magic bands. The couple next to us were also the meal plan. Her magic band had a problem. It took the waitress several times trying to scan her band until it worked. My husband ordered an ice tea and water. The waitress brought our drinks to the table. She set our drinks in front of us . The waitress brought a sprite instead of water. She apologized and took it away and brought the water . Now for the bill our bill was correct my husband put the tip of $17.00 on the credit card. The couple seating next to us had a problem with their bill. The women siting next to my husband ordered a beer that was not charged on their bill. . The waitress took the bill and came back with another one. A week later my husband got a statement from Disney showing what we paid for our room and room charges. My husband saw room charges from the Biergarten for $30.00. I called our credit card company and asked if the Biergarten charged $17.00 to our credited card. I was told yes. I called Disney billing customer service and told the women I spoke to about the $30.00 charged . She look at our account and saw that it was a mistake and said she will refund the money to our credit card.

Camilla a great server!

By Scott Failmezger |

We had Camilla as our server and she made eating with our allergies a breeze. The food was plentiful and great. The German floor show was excellent!

Visit Germany

By Natasha B |

Exceeded my expectations! I read reviews that complained about the limited buffet (ie only sausage), but they were so wrong. The buffet has so many delicious options! I did not even have any sausage, but enjoyed the chicken, pork and beef. In addition to all the meat options there are so many sides, salads, a green salad, pretzel rolls, cheese soup to dip the pretzels into and a big dessert buffet! I am sure you will find many things to enjoy. Plus, the atmosphere is so unique and immersive. The band is fun. The staff are all from Germany and it is a blast holding that massive stein while you eat. You are in Epcot - enjoy a dinner that is fun and different!

Good Food, but Pricey and Disappointing

By Just Get in the Car |

I was really looking forward to my dinner experience here. I have been to Munich for Oktoberfest back in my 20s, and was looking to check out a Disnified example of the experience. I may be in the minority here, but I was very disappointed in the experience. The staff was incredibly friendly, as they are all over Disney. And the food was a buffet, which had a lot of delicious offerings. But those were the only parts of the experience I really enjoyed. The show was decent. But I don't believe they were on the stage for more than 10 minutes. I was also looking forward to the beer flight, as Germany has some very well known beers. I was expecting a nice selection of Oktoberfest beers, like Lowenbrau, Paulener or Spaten. Instead, I got...Becks. Probably the toughest pill to swallow was the price. For our family of 5, it was over $300 for the meal. Two of my kids (10 and 12) were billed at the adult price ($49 each), and barely had anything to eat. To be fair, we were also there at 3:00 PM, and the place was pretty empty. But overall, I don't feel the need to get back to Disney's biergarten. And for the price, I think I would be better served using the money to actually go to Munich...

Too Pricey During COVID Restrictions

By Docksider |

Sadly, it appears Disney has adjusted everything for COVID except their prices. Over the years we’ve thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant. A bountiful buffet combined with an entertaining show made for a great dining experience. Naturally, with COVID, the buffet has disappeared, to be replaced by a serving platter delivered by a waitress. Topping it all off is the delivery of a limited dessert selection. The entree selection was warm at best, and it was evident the platters were made up in advance and kept in a holding pattern until delivered to the table. When we asked for seconds, to no one’s surprise, they arrived piping hot. Now, please understand, I accept the need to alter menus and procedures for COVID. And I do appreciate the fact that they’ve kept the show for diners. I’m grateful to at least have a restaurant open. But despite the reduced selections, Disney still feels the need to charge $59.00 per person. Seems a bit unfair! In the final analysis, the food was not up to standards while they price remained inflated. Have to give two stars right now. But as with many eateries, once EPCOT fully reopens, I suspect things will return to normal. In the interim, it might be better to avoid this restaurant and wait for better times.

Disappointed

By Scott |

Food Quality: 2/5.  Service: 3/5.  Ambiance/Atmosphere: 4/5.  Price/Value: 1/5.  Cleanliness/Hygeine: 3/5.  Overall Experience: 3/5.  Food on the buffet is one step above that found in a modern TV dinner. Don't be fooled by what you see on the website -as an example, they show a succulent Black Forest Cake, but what you'll find on the dessert line resembles something that Little Debbie would turn away. Beer was the only good part of the meal. Service was average. Atmosphere was great. Wonderful live music. Price, well..it's Disney, so you're gonna get robbed. The dining room wasn't dirty, but the bathrooms needed attention. Overall experience...let's just say that we won't be going back. Too many other options at Epcot.

Awesome experience

By Wacky7882 |

This is the first time our family of 5 (three kids 11-13, two adults) ate here. Fantastic German buffet! Fantastic service! We were able to get seated earlier than our original reservation and able to get a table right up front of the entertainment. I just wished we were able to have to go boxes because the food is just so good! 😊 We will definitely return!

Not worth the price

By Phyllis R |

I never realized that a 10 year old who eats practically nothing would be charged as an adult- $45 for dinner. I think she ate a salad and some potato pancakes. that's it. The food at the buffet was average at best. The only good thing was the potato pancakes. Definately not worth $200 for 3 adults and an 11 year old that is considered an adult.

The Biergarten Restaurant

By CMelam |

The Biergarten Restaurant is located in the Germany section of Epcot World Showcase. My friends had been before and raved about it, and I now see why. The food is a wonderful sampling of popular German dishes including sauerkraut, a chef’s carving station featuring a wonderful pork roast the day we were there, traditional sausages, various potato dishes, salmon, and many other mouth watering options. They offer a good assortment of German beer and wine, and to top it all off, a fantastic assortment of desserts. The seating is family style, so our small group was seated with a lovely family from Ontario, Canada. You might think the price for the buffet is a bit high, but along with a great meal is lively and fun entertainment that makes it a truly wonderful overall experience. You can clap and dance along with live German music and an assortment of unique instruments. I highly recommend.

Best atmosphere in a restaurant ever.

By Clintbuchinski |

It’s a buffet, don’t expect to be blown away by the food. However, the atmosphere and vibe more than compensate for the buffet. This was the coolest place we ate at in Orlando.

Dreaded it and loved every minute!

By j0hnhill |

What an atmosphere, great place let yourself unwind with the family and with the dining plan now including beer you don’t have to worry about cost so much! Food was average American fare pretending to be German, amazing what a few large sausages will do, strudel and white sauce was exquisite! But the main course was the entertainment that filled the dance floor in minutes and got everyone else up on their feet. If your on the dining plan it’s a definite try!

Great experience, great food, amazing service!

By Cathy A |

We were walk-ins for lunch. Only had to wait 5 minutes for it to open. First off, our waiter, Walter, was stellar. He answered all our questions, helped us make decisions, was informed and friendly. Checked back with us just enough and not too much to be nosy and was an all around great person. He should be training all the servers at WDW!! Beer-I don't recall the name of it, but it was dark and German and delicious. The buffet style food was really, really good. I went back for seconds of the cheese soup and a few other items-everything was hot and yummy. Entertainment was fun and they probably were there for 30-40 minutes. I would definitely go back and would probably make reservations next time so as not to miss out. Not inexpensive, but worth it!

Birthday Celebration

By Mark W |

8 of us and 2 Birthday’s. One turned 20, one turned way more. Great dinner. Nice music/show from the band. The band announced the birthdays and sang Happy Birthday in German. They also brought an adorable Mouse cake that supposedly fed 4-6 but 8 of us had plenty and there was a slice left. Great time, not the best German food I’ve ever had, but what a wonderful evening.

Great German experience

By Athena Milbert |

Awesome as always, Selina was a great waiter and all the other CMs made a constant effort to make us feel welcome. Good German food and a great show. Hoi hoi hoi!!!

Good food and show

By Jim W |

We reserved a table for 5 to celebrate a college graduation. We did not know about the show and were pleasantly surprised. The food was served family style and was plentiful. The show was an outstanding demonstration of German Culture. It is a pricey meal for a large group, but worth a one time experience. Kalani did a great job of keeping the food moving and meeting our needs at the table.

Biergarten is rocking again!!

By Ron F |

Now that COVID restrictions are rolling back, this Epcot favorite is starting to feel like it’s old self. Had lunch with my adult daughter last Monday (3/21) and the place was packed. Once the show started, the energy in the room off the charts. I saw a guy literally dancing his way through the buffet line. The food and beer are always first rate here. But it’s the atmosphere that sets this restaurant apart.

Book the Epcot Holiday Candlelight Processional Dining Package as soon as it’s available! Bring a jacket for the event!

By JillianC |

My husband, 10 year old great niece & I enjoyed our dinner here on November 30, 2024. I booked the Epcot Holiday Candlelight Processional Dining Package which included guaranteed seats for the Candlelight Processional & dinner at the Biergarten. We were excited to see the entertainment, which features performers from Germany & a German buffet. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation time & were shown to a table to the side of the stage that had no view of it at all. I requested a table with a view of the stage explaining that we were looking forward to enjoying the show. We were asked to wait a few minutes & then were led to a table with a nice view of the stage. The buffet is self-serve & featured a nice selection of homey German favorites including Schnitzel, Spaetzle, sausages, chicken, several salads, Sauerkraut & a Beer Cheese Soup that we used as a delicious dip for the Pretzel Rolls. The carving station featured roast beef & pork- I really enjoyed the pork & the apricot chutney as a dipping sauce. We all found dishes we really enjoyed & I enjoyed a nice German Riesling instead of my usual Diet Coke! There was a fun selection of desserts & the Apple Strudel with a delicious vanilla flavored sauce was our favorite. The gingerbread was yummy too! The live entertainment was great- the peppy polka band played a nice variety of German music, they played the big Alpenhorns and really shared a nice taste of their culture. The restaurant was also festively decorated for Christmas. The service was very good - warm, friendly & professional both at our table & at the buffet. The Biergarten Dining Package was a very good value considering it included a complete dinner, great live entertainment during dinner & guaranteed seats for the absolutely beautiful Holiday Candlelight Processional & we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

Inefficient customer service

By kseav |

We had a reservation for 14. I get it; it’s a lot of people. However, these buffet restaurants at WDW are equipped to accommodate large parties. Our reservation was at 7:10. By the time our pager went off at 7:50, we had already decided we were not going to stay. This is after talking to the staff several times and then hearing a 7:30 reservation with a party of 9 being accommodated before us. It wasn’t the first place in WDW that we have seen this on our stay. We all come to WDW every three years, and we have always had great experiences. However, this time around we have seen this place change, and not for the better.

Excellent Value and a Good Time Guaranteed

By Amanda J |

I would ignore the one star review from June, honestly. This is the second time that I have dined here. I was an annual passholder and went about once a week to the parks for years. I can assure you: this is a gem of a restaurant and families love to come here year after year, sometimes more so if a local. I too have been to Germany three times - in 2000, 2017 and 2018. There is plenty of food to choose from. The food is flavorful. Since I have updated my diet, I will still be going, because there are so many foods to choose from. I am planning on getting the cucumber-dill salad because cucumber and sour cream is fine for me, will be getting the roast chicken and whatever else is on the carving station - I seem to recall at least pork, possibly beef. There was a braised beef called Sauerbraten I would try again. For dessert, I have my eyes on the fruit salad and the cheesecake. The music is charming and upbeat and being able to hold up your drink and call out "oi oi oi" is just good fun. Makes me happy, memories can be made here, bellies can be filled up, and if you are gluten free there are a lot of options for you as my boyfriend who went with me found out. Thanks for reading! Give it a shot! The theming is also charming as you are outside (but inside) in a beer garden. Enjoy the air conditioning and rest. Dance too if you want! Our waitress was also charming. Good times!

Expensive Mediocre Food

By LoveTravel801561 |

The prices are ridiculous. $59 for an 11 year for a lunch - rip off. The food was not what you would expect to find in a real German restaurant. The sausage was mushy and the Schnitzel was tiny. We only went there because Disney made it sound food was difficult to find, so we made a reservation. There is plenty to find and no so excessively priced. Do yourself a favor - avoid this rip-off.

Food was good. Where was the show?

By Shelby J |

My mom and I selected Biergarten as she and my dad ate there for their anniversary one year. My dad passed away last year, and my mom raved about the show, music, etc. We were seated around 6:00pm at the tail end of the show. Shah was our server, and he was attentive, helpful, and entertaining. The food is plentiful. First course: pretzel rolls, macaroni salad, cucumber salad, and potato salad. Second course: frickadellen with hunter sauce, spaetzle, two types of sausage, red cabbage, sauerkraut, German potato salad, franks, pork schnitzel, macaroni and cheese ("nudel au gratin.") This food was okay. It wasn't anything special or wow'ing. Dessert: German cheesecake, Black Forest roll, cookies, and apple streusel. In the one hour we were there, the show/music never came back. I should have taken note of the show times (listed on a flyer by the hostess stand,) but we were disappointed as that was part of the reason we came. I am giving this review a "3" because of the lack of show/music and okay food. Server Shah - great!

While the service and atmosphere

By almliu |

While the service and atmosphere was nice the food was completely a joke. I understand they are taking COVID precautions and are not offering buffet style experience but the food that you get is absolutely absurd. We paid $25 for a child and all on kids plate was microwave heated Mac and cheese, hot dogs and green beans. Adult plate consisted of sausage, chicken, meatballs, pasta, and everything tasted old and reheated. Quality of food needs to improve if they want to keep customers coming back and happy.

The Pandemic changed it a lot

By Thrasher82 |

Because of the pandemic, instead of the normal buffet they offered a very limited selection of all-you-can eat foods and desserts. You can still get many favorites - sausages, spaetzel, schnitzel, streudel, potato salad, cucumber salad. The service was good and the band is still playing! For 3 of us the cost with tip was about $150.

Nicely done

By gor3don |

Good old fashioned German food plus some extras. Great place for the family and the floor show is a lot of fun. One of better places in Epcot to eat, in our opinion.

Fun place with good food

Old fashioned German food with lots to choose from. Its a buffet so if you go for late lunch 2 or 3 pm you will be stuffed and not need dinner. They were able to accommodate foo allergies and the beer selection was large. All food in Disney is expensive, they are selling $6.00 8 ounce Coke's in Star Wars land. They key is to get the disney dining plan ahead of time. It's well worth it. The show they have going on is fun and entertaining. You need to make a reservation ahead of time in busy seasons.
