Great service and a very friendly staff! The pizza was yummy and we will absolutely go back there again!

My daughter didn’t want cheesesteaks and so she grabbed a slice from here. The sauce was perfectly seasoned, just the right amount of cheese and chewy crust. There were several topping choices and nice employees. Her slice was a quarter of a pizza for only $5. Can’t beat that!

We stopped in to check it out on our way back to the hotel. Grub hub DIDN'T work, but the manager had her guy deliver. She was super accommodating and even threw in a couple orders of garlic knots no charge! We had a meat pizza, and half white w/ pep and 1/2 margherita. The margherita was underwhelming the meat was "ok" the white was the winner by far. Pizzas are HUGE, and not super pricey. If I was in the area again I'd order a white pizza or slice of plain pep.

Stopped here for a late night slice while meandering around Philly but I should have kept walking. They call a normal size slice "half ass" and the "big ass" is just 1/4 of a pizza, in order words a slice the size of 2 slices that they just don't cut. And worst of all the pizza they cut it from is a small diameter, so you end up with a slice where the crust end is longer than the length from the crust to the point. A pizza slice should always be longer than it is wide. But aside from the dimensional abnormalities, the pizza just wasn't that great. It looks like they put all their energy into calling their pizza "ass" and that's what they ended up with.

Everything about this place is top notch! The friendliness of the staff and the fantastic food brought us to this place twice in one day. Breakfast was wonderful, large portions and fast service. Lunch was a “big ass slice” of pizza, which had the best flavor of any pizza I’ve had in a long time. We will definitely be back on our next Philadelphia visit!

Dinner for six this evening at Big Ass Slices. The service was fantastic, the food incredibly tasty and a good range of beers on tap (as well as the soft drinks for the children). Would definitely recommend.

Visited the breakfast once and pizza twice during recent trip. French toast was fabulous, pancakes were massive, pizzas were large and very tasty. On each trip the staff were super friendly and very attentive.

We got the chicken ranch and pepperoni and was top notch, was recommended by a local friend. The service was great and pizza was nice and fluffy not heavy. Will be coming back here again!

We were able to sit right away but the food took too long. Out waitress was great but the service was slow, we were waiting for three slices over 25 mins. The other food was done quickly

The name says it all with respect to the size of their pizza slices. The staff was friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend this as a lunch/dinner spot if you are touring around Old City.

The thing I liked most, the waiter suggested we not get three slices each, but only two. And I'm glad he made that suggestion. The slices are big ass, and they tasted pretty good. My friend and I got a total of four slices, and that was more than enough. The margarita pizza was quite good. My friend enjoyed the barbecue chicken pizza. The plain cheese pizza was not the best I've had. The prices are extremely reasonable. The restaurant is clean and bright. And the service was good.

The slices are good and service was quick. I recommend them if you're in Old City! You will not be disappointed! Yummy!

We stopped here for a snack during our tour around the historic sites. The pizza is truly big ass, but they do offer a small ass slice to. It was really good pizza. Would definitely stop here again.

I grabbed a slice of pepperoni pizza from this place after a bar crawl and it did not disappoint. $6.50 for one HUGE slice and it was totally worth it. They also have a bar inside this place for those who may want to drink with their slice. Friendly staff and pretty chill crowd.

My hotel didn't do breakfast so looked around for an eatery - plenty to choose from locally - day 1 picked Big Ass Slices and went back every day for Breakfast whilst in Philly. Lisa and her staff were really friendly and service was great. Also took in a couple of supper snacks (Pizza, Mussels & Empanada's) - all great Happy hour also available Top marks in my view

As its name says, they have very good big pie to share. Very friendly, outside tables on Market Avenue. If you prefer beer and burgers, the Silence Dogood’s is next door

Very slow service even with multiple people working there and a rude cashier as well. There were probably 5 people behind the counter and not one of them could acknowledge and say that they would be with me soon as I stood there and waited for 10 minutes. And on top of that, Uber Eats delivery drivers were coming ahead of me to check on there order and the cashier had an attitude when I mentioned I already placed an order for pickup as well. I couldn’t wait any longer to get my pizza because it was 5-10 minutes past when it said my order would be ready and I didn’t receive any form of acknowledgement or update other than the cashier getting mad at me when I spoke up for myself.

Pizza is cooked and warmed up when ordered. My slice of pepperoni pizza came out with only 2 slices of pepperoni and was cold to the touch. When I asked about it I was told by the cashier “oh well”. The manager couldn’t even look me in the eye and apologize for the lack of quality of the food that was being produced. After asking 3 times a refund was granted and I never left with a single slice. I would highly recommend passing this restaurant.

So we went looking for pizza and this was listed. The place was not crowded. But as a helpful note, this is connected to Big Ass Slices which is where we entered. There was nowhere to stand to order or pay or wait because of a group of disrespectful kids that had taken over the area. ( I realize how old I sound here). But the business did nothing about it. The music was so loud they couldn’t hear us ordering. Places to sit in the back are essentially lawn furniture and that room connects to Silence Dogood’s. There are alcoholic drinks there and sodas on the Pizza side. Just ok and not great. Pizza was huge but could have been Sbarro. Non descriptive experience.

The slices are bigger then your head and they have some amazing toppings as well. The pizza is crisp with a thin crust and quality cheese. It's so good.

Staff was very helpful. 10-12 different pizzas to choose from and cooked fresh in a stone oven. I ordered the Little slice and it was bigger than a normal plate.

I came to Big Ass Slices because I liked the name of the restaurant. I have to say that the slices really are big ass. I had the Big Ass slice with a Pepsi and it was large. It was the size of more than two slices combined. The pizza is excellent and the sauce is so flavorful. The tomato sauce was so fresh and you could really taste the tomatoes in each bite. It was a very generous slice for a decent price. The service is very nice and the people are real characters that work there.

When a place says they have big slices, you just say ok. This place has some "BIG ASS" slices and the taste to back it up. You can also "half ass it" by ordering a normal persons size slice. haha Yeah, if you pass it up you need to back that ass up and go inside! Can't forget to mention their perfect cesar salad. This dressing is delicious and homemade...did I mention EVERYTHING is handmade? Yes. The atmosphere is fantastic, the owner is personable and has pride in his product and city. You can tell when the staff is genuinely happy, they must have a leader/owner who's not only their boss...also a colleague who gets in the trenches to work beside everyone else. I'll definitely return! Great product.

After a snafu with grub hub, I went and picked our order up. The staff was extremely appolagetic for the issue( that was grub hub's ) and were glad I came in to get the food. We had the large cheesesteak, buffalo, barbecue chicken, and chicken bacon ranch. All were good.

We love this part of Philly - there are lots of great bars and this is no exception. We started off with a few drinks before heading off on the Big Red pedal tour. That was great fun, and we were with a bachelorette party who were certainly having a great time. Never thought I’d see twerking on a bike, although they are big old bikes. As we were enjoying the cocktails and beers too much before the tour started we had to rush a little bit, but still hit a couple of cool places and had some bar snacks. It’s a great way to get around town, and you certainly get noticed. We headed back to the bar and had a lovely evening sat outside with our friends. The pizzas definitely lived up to the name - they are huge!! We had a half and half and it was the biggest pizza I’ve ever seen! Really tasty, and there were plenty of other bites on the menu. A good selection of beers, and nice to see local breweries available. I worked my way through the menu, and was also introduced to the Citywide special, which is exactly the kind of thing you expect to be a thing in Philly. Staff were lovely and friendly, and it was a good atmosphere with a mix of tourists and locals. A great spot.

Came here upon recommendation of the bartender at our hotel. It was open late on Saturday night after we arrived in town. Upon entering we were told that we could not dine in because no one under 21 could sit in the restaurant and our 14 year old daughter was with us. But it was perfectly fine for us to stand while waiting to carry out. Also, I saw a table where some were obviously under 21. We just wanted to get something to eat so we let it go. We got three big ass slices to go and went back to our hotel. They were huge and very good and reasonably priced. One of the cheapest meals on the trip. I would go back if in the area.

As tourists, we were walking in the area and asked someone on the street where they liked to eat pizza. They immediately said Big Ass, which was a few blocks away. As we started to head that direction, a man said "I heard you're going to Big Ass Pizza." We said yes. He said he was on his way to work there, has worked there for a very long time. His name was Julio and he said "Order the Julio special." We did and he served it to us personally! My favorite kind of pizza, crust chewy but not too thick, not a lot of sauce, tons of cheese. We ordered a large pizza to share. But saw some people who had ordered just a slice. They were huge! Would definitely go back!

Pizza here was good, but needs more cheese. I did like the dough/crust - done just right. I got take-out, but it looks like a great place to sit at the bar for a few beers and slices.

It was average pizza with above average crust. There were many different kinds and two sizes of slices that could definitely fill you up. The place wasn’t the best designed and don’t plan on using the restrooms unless you want to hike down the stairs. In the end I do recommend giving it a try but I’m sure there’s better options down the road.

Went in and ordered a whole pie. It took more than 20 minuets which shouldn’t take that long in a brick oven. When I asked they were very rude. I would no t suggest this place. Stay away if you want your money in your pocket. It is horrible. And I do not do this to restaurants.

While the food is nice we can easily say that the service was terrible for tourists. 1. We were rushed to order and eat while no one was waiting for a table 2. We asked for a draft beer and ended up with the most expensive one without our consent 3. When the bill arrived we had 2 extras fries (3$ each) when we never asked for one. When we mentioned this mistake the waiter got mad at us and removed only one letting us clearly see that he as clearly annoyed 4. After paying this scam we didn’t receive a “goodbye” at ours We can’t say for sure if it’s a policy of the house to receive their customers as badly as we have been received but it definitely is the policy of the brown hair waiter that was all black dressed up 1 p.m - 2 the table next to the entrances 12 of August

After a long flight I ended up here at big ass slices by chance. The energy Shane and Yosef have is incredible. So friendly funny and entertaining. and the food was immaculate. Will definitely be back no matter how long the flight! Wow I’m not sure how I fell into this place but I’m so glad I did!!! Thank Shane and Yosef

I'm not a big pizza eater. But when you go here, you have to get a big slice...a big *** slice. Some of the best pizza I've eaten. Crust was perfect, coming right out of the brick over in the back. Love the name of the place. Place was packed and people were enjoying a summer evening with some really big, delicious pizza. They have all types of toppings and they'll make you whatever you want. Incredibly friendly staff and excellent quality. They have a couple tables outside as well to enjoy people walking by and the nice weather. The restaurant is very easy to find as well. Right on Market Street east of Independence Hall several blocks. Worth the visit. Bring your appetite.

Friendly family business, delicious food, plentiful televisions to watch the game and great drinks. We enjoyed our visit.

This was a little place off Market St. that we grabbed a quick dinner - teenager picked it and enjoyed it..pizza slices were very large, varied in style and good

We took our grandchildren to Philadelphia to tour Liberty Bell and Ben Franklin Museum and stopped here for a quick slice of pizza before heading to Betsy Ross House. What a mistake - the pizza was terrible and the cleanliness of the restaurant had much to be desired. Would not recommend this restaurant!

Great pizza, engaged and wonderful staff, cost can't be beat. Philly cheesesteak was ok. Would absolutely return here with entire family.

Think a quarter of a pizza for a big ass slice, and half that if you decide to go with the little big ass slice. They have a variety of options, and they will also make you your own creation (if you order the whole pie). One slice was more than enough. It is a thinner crust than us west coasters are used to, but the flavor is all there.

Great place for some late night eats. We stopped in and shared a Big A$$ slice of cheese. Was very tasty. Customer service was outstanding. Highly recommended for your late night pizza craving.

We went on a tour of Philly and were looking for something to eat... We found Big A**Slices!! The staff super attentive and so friendly... the pizza was terrific!!! We both had the pepperoni and cheese and let me tell The slice was gigantic good cheese sauce and plenty of pepperoni !!!! We ate outside this night and took in the sites sounds people !!! We will be back again to get some Big A** Slices Of outstanding pizza!!!

Stopped in here while walking around downtown Philly. Just wanted an afternoon snack since I was meeting a friend later in the evening for dinner and a show. Good quality pizza in a casual by-the-slice atmosphere. Staff were good. Young ladies who were courteous and efficient. While I was there, a couple of guys got slices and one was clearly already partying hard. The girls were tolerant of his struggle to pay and still managed to take care of my order at the same time. Very friendly and relaxed staff!

Delicious chicken philly, add what you want. Take out is in the back at the counter and was quick and easy. Cashier was nice.
Funny name
I'm not going to lie. I was walking around exploring Philly and had worked up an appetite in the process. I was looking for somewhere to eat and the red neon sign with the name of this place caught my eye. It made me laugh out loud. They really do have big a** slices of pizza.
