We stumbled on this place while trying to find our way back home from downtown Atlanta. I had the cajun fries and Mahi Mahi sandwhich. It was very tasty, fries were a disappointment barely any Cajun on them. My husband had the Oyster po, boy, it was not very big and he was still hungry after as he did not like the Cajun fries. We tried dessert I had the bread pudding it was very good. My husband had the beignets, he did not like them. If we try this restaurant again he will try something different.

We just bought a condo across the street from this restaurant, which is a bonus as parking can get tight around the restaurant during the peak times and on weekends. It is worth it though!! But of course we just walked over here. The alligator bites were very good as an appetizer. They were not greasy and did not bite back at all!! I had the crawfish etouffee and it was very good!! Perfect spice level and the flavors were good. Service was very good and we really enjoyed our dinner!! There will be a repeat visit!!

Big Easy Grille is casual and friendly, with both indoor and outdoor dining. The menu is packed with Cajun favorites. While I didn't have a Cajun dish, I did enjoy their tasty chicken fingers and the fries that came with them. Prices are reasonable and service is friendly and down to earth. It's easy to recommend the Big Easy.

Our first time here. We came in for lunch. Outside patio was packed (due to 72° and sunshine). Inside had one booth available. Service was friendly and prompt. Food was served as ordered and very good.

This food was boring and effortless. By any means overprized. Worst part were the fries which were not crispy and didnt have any taste at all just like the fried scrimp. Never again. I really do not understand the good reviews. Must be reviews from the staff.

I was visiting my daughter who lives in Atlanta and she had heard good things about the Big Easy - well what she heard was right. This is traditional Southern Louisiana cooking with great seasoning - like stepping into a hole in the wall restaurant in New Orleans. We had the crab claws and bourbon salmon with parmesan smashed potatoes - so good! Definitely will be back to try lots of other items.

Wow. We did not expect such amazing food from what seemed like would be crappy bar food. The food was amazing. It was authentic and the prices are phenomenal. Service was ok but we did go lunch hour. Really impressed. I highly recommend a visit.

Quaint bar like atmosphere with really excellent Cajun food at a reasonable price. Can be a little spicy if you are not used to it, but after all it is authentic Cajun food. I really enjoyed the Po Boy and muffeletta. Always a great spot to stop in at if you are in Atlanta. Everyone is really friendly and food is great.

Ate here with two friends. My southern burger was kinda plain and came with a bag of chips was expecting fresh made. My friends really enjoyed their food, chicken club and Cajun chicken po-boy with jambalaya. Friendly service

Love the food here! They have a pretty good selection of beer and the staff is friendly. I see many regulars at the bar. The decor could use some updates

This small, out of the way restaurant is a good choice for a taste of New Orleans. The muffeletta and gumbo are excellent and the staff was friendly. This place is just as much a bar as a restaurant and can be hard to get a table as the food is good and the locals know it.

Simply put, you can not miss this if your into good food like you were celebrating mardi gras every visit....

My husband and I are always looking for great Cajun food, which is hard to find unless you are near the coast. This is a great little place with great food at a reasonable price.

Excellent food, great service, and friendly staff. I have been eating here for years (pre-pandemic and pre-Hurricane Katrina), and they still serve quality food.

Lunch or dinner. Nice outdoor parto. Fun bar sceen. Claude knows his Cajun food. Friday is alligator chilli day.

Growing up in Cajun land I can say this food was outstanding. The two of us shared all of our food. We knew we were ordering too much but it all just sounded so good. So we had Chicken and Sausage Gumbo, Fried Crawfish Tails, Fried Shrimp PoBoy, and the soup of the day which was Crab Bisque. Everything was seasoned to perfection. Just enough salt and a little on the spicy side which I adore. The gumbo was a dark roux just like my mother used to make and that takes some time and attention. The crab bisque was delicious. It had a little kick that kept drawing my attention back to it. The shrimp PoBoy was one of the best I have had outside of New Orleans. The plump fried shrimp were big and perfectly cooked. And now for one of my favorite things in life....Crawfish. I love them boiled, but sometimes a little more work than I want, so then there are the fried ones. These were outstanding. No thick batter. All of the ingredients tasted as fresh as they could be. Nothing fishy or old oily taste about anything. I thought the prices were very reasonable for the quality of the seafood and the amount of food served.

This place has food shipped straight from New Orleans on a weekly basis, and you can tell! Everything is fresh-nothing is frozen. The owners are from Louisiana, and they know how to cook like it! It has a fun, laid back atmosphere and lots of New Orleans cocktails. Definitely recommend it!

Ordered the Voodoo Shrimp, Gator Bites, Crawfish Etouffee, Fried Crawfish Tails, Sweet Tea and the Beignets. The Voodoo Shrimp was pretty good and the French bread for pretty good. The Gator bites were ok, but were not fried in corn meal, but were seasoned ok. The fried Crawfish Tails were on the bland side. The Crawfish Etouffee was very bland and had no taste at all. The Sweet Tea was really good. The Beignets were terrible, you could tell they were frozen and then fried, they also had a wierd after taste. Not the best place to introduce someone to cajun food, I was very disappointed in the food and would not visit again.

I was looking on Yelp to find something casual and quick on our way home from a trip. I saw the Big Easy, so we gave it a try. It is delicious!!! Felt like I was back in Louisiana. We both had a sampler basket and shared. Everything we tried was wonderful and the service was very good. This will now be a stop anytime we are in Atlanta.

The Big Easy Grille is about as close to Southern Louisiana cuisine that you will find in ATL. It is a "hole in the wall" but a really good one. Try sitting at the bar with the locals and get a little bit of the Vieux Carre. The gumbo, onion strings and hush puppied along witha Abita Amber is a good choice to get started.

We ate here last week and had excellent food. In particular the shrimp po’ boy and debris po’ boy were amazing. The fried shrimp were large and lightly battered and fried and the bread was light and crisp - best I have had in many years. We also enjoyed great shrimp bisque. Great for a casual lunch or dinner. Nice list of local draft brews too.

It's a small place with a bar on one side, and tables along the left wall and center. I had checked the menu and was ready for crawfish. Sorry, no crawfish, only on Wednesdays. So, I ordered the Fried Shrimp Basket with Red Beans and Rice. The Shrimp were excellent (fried perfectly). The standard cocktail sauce was not what I wanted, so they brought me some Remoulade Sauce. I've had a lot better Remoulade, but Remoulade is different with every chef. Theirs is sort of white, with some, but not a lot of spice. The Red Beans and Rice was bland, nothing special. My husband's Shrimp Po' Boy was average -- not much on the sandwich. I gave him some Remoulade which helped spice it up. We DID have beignets for dessert. We both love beignets, and these were quite good, freshly fried, with lots of powdered sugar. Be sure to try those!

The food is delicious and inexpensive. Good drink specials in a small, neighborhood restaurant.

This is truly a neighbourhood bar and restaurant. Very small, five booths and about the same number of tables inside. An expanded covered porch/patio which is nice for larger groups. Food is true New Orleans food, great service and well just a great place for lunch or dinner. If your in the mood make it a point to eat here. Once you go there you will revisit often. Nothing fancy just GOOD.

My wife found this on Trip Advisor one day just driving around town and raved about the fried oysters. We went back and it was great. Note if you don't like spicy this is not the place for you. I started with a cup of Aligator chilli that was amazing! All the food was great. This is a bit hard to find but worth the find!

Initially I went to Das Bbq which is like a door or two down. They were not open. So I went here instead. I got a shrimp and oyster basket with fries came with cocktail sauce and tartar.I also got a crawfish pot boy with fries on 5/5/20. I was pleasantly surprised how good this food is.

I had the crawfish etouffe and it was good if a little spicey. They have valet parking and it is necessary, especially on weekends. Great beer selections. Comfortable atmosphere. I will go again.

Got the shrimp po boy and the gumbo. Both were great! Sat outside, and had good service. Will visit again.

Consistently one of my favorite places to grab a quick lunch or dinner or a beer w/ friends. The po boys are excellent, all the traditional New Orleans dishes are spot on and my personal favorite, the Seafood Muffaletta, is awesome. The staff is nice, the beer is cold and parking is not bad! What's not to love about this place? New Orleans decor and a good beer list make this place one of my top pics for a Saturday afternoon lunch, either inside or on the patio. Give it a try and you won't be sorry.

Delightful service by Kaleigh. The shrimp appetizer sauce was spicy and delicious enough to make up for the shrimp not being the freshest and slightly overcooked. My brother was impressed with the Salmon sandwich and I enjoyed the combo basket of Cajun chicken and alligator. Cold beer and beautiful waitress would be enough to give this place another try. Good food. Fair prices!

We always make sure to stop by the Big Easy whenever we are in Atlanta! We have eaten here several times and the po boys never disappoint! Crawfish and shrimp are tasty and the jambalaya isn't bad either! The atmosphere is so much fun with all the paraphernalia all over the walls and ceiling. great place to watch a game as well! The staff are always very friendly and the food comes out quickly. Best cajun food in atlanta!

Great people, food. The whole nine!! Visit this place ASAP! The bar staff is second to none, and the staff and owners have a real gem here on the west side.

I've heard a lot about the Big Easy Grille and was finally able to go there for the first time in August 2011. Man, I felt like I was back home in Louisiana! Kudo's to the cook and whoever orders the seafood - it is fresh and cooked to perfection! We started off with a sampler platter of fried seafood - catfish, shrimp, etc., then had some gator bites with voodoo sauce, shrimp po-boy for the wife, and oyster po-boy and red beans and rice for me. Finished off with fresh beignets! Wait staff was very attentive, bloody mary's were darn good, and prices reasonable, too. I'll definitely be back. Glad I don't live nearby, or I would gain some serious weight!

I eat at the Big Easy Grille from time to time and have always my meal. On one occasion they had sold out of my initial selection but my second choice was delicious. My favorite is the cat fish basket.

Small but good food. A little spicy for my taste but hubby loves it. Standard New Orleans menu. Lively bar.

First of all, I want to say that if I wasn't just passing through, I'd frequent this place often. My mom and I were on our way to Orlando FL, so it was a one shot deal. If we go through Atlanta again, we'll definitely look it up... But only for certain items. The good first--their hamburgers are AWESOME! Fresh hamburger, yummy buns, and good Cajun fries. The fried oysters were really really good. They're more my mom's thing, but I even thought they were delicious! Additionally, the service was very friendly and prompt. We kept asking questions and ordering new things, and everything was handled graciously, like family. The TV's and decorations were a nice touch too. Very New Orleans. On the bad side of the ambiance, it is definitely a bar scene. We went on a Friday in the late afternoon, so drunks being around was probably a function of it being a Friday night:) It was a bit obnoxious, and not appropriate for youngens, especially if they are usually sheltered from that kind of thing. No cursing or figths, just loudness and belligerence. It's basically a bar with several tables, so you can't escape from it. Finally, the "Big Easy" food--jambalaya and red beans and rice--were bland. We were told that it depends on the cook. That was disappointing and I hope they fix it soon. But honestly, I'd go there for one of the best burgers I've ever had (and I've had quite a few).

We saw that this place had Cajun food so we stopped by to give it a try. We arrived around 1:30 pm, and there were still some of the lunch crowd finishing up. We sat at the bar and ordered some draft beer. It was a Monday, and the Abita drafts were only $3.00. They also had 2 specialty drafts from other craft brewers, and I had one of each of those. My husband and I ordered the Cajun Queso for an appetizer. It had alligator sausage mixed in. It was a very tasty queso! We also split an order of a specialty plate for the day: Chicken Jambalaya with Crawfish Ettouffee on top. Delicious! Just enough of a bite to make your nose drip. We visited some with the owner; very friendly guy who was originally from Louisiana. It was obvious he knows Cajun food. We are from Texas and were visiting our son who lives close by this place. Can't wait to return and try some of the other dishes!

we had the crawfish etoufee, gator bites, gumbo, and fried crawfish bites. All delicious. It's a little off the beaten path, but the prices were good, the service was great. It's kind of that 'hole in the wall that has great food' type place. Casual dress/atmosphere, nothing fancy, but was friendly and engaging. My only complaint would be that Cajun food is pretty heavy, so I was FULL.
Great service. Food was good
Great service. Food was good but all slightly overcooked resulting in dry salmon, really dark shrimp, dark fries and beignets.
