The vegetarian lunch special at Biryani Pot is my favorite lunch in the whole City. A wide variety of things to try, and the biryani itself is wonderfully seasoned. If you're not a fan of spicy, I do believe that they offer modifications to the spice level on request, but I usually get the regular heat and I find it just right, definitely not unpalatable. The non-vegetarian special often contains meat on the bone, so you may want to avoid that if you're looking for a meal that you don't have to work on and end up with spice stained fingers. Highly recommended!

Biryani as good as you get in Paradise or Bawarchi in Hyderabad. Although I visited at their peak service hours, I got my food in minutes. Don't miss out on the Lassi on a hot summer afternoon. Excellent staff

I was not crazy about indian food, but this one is sooooo amazing i can eat there so often. Chicken butter, chicken tikka masala, mango lasi.. all great, nice clean and authentic.

Pros * Food quality was above average. Really good naan. * Very reasonable prices Cons * Atmosphere below average * Service was a bit slow. I would highly recommend this restaurant for carry out. Just an okay sit down experience.

Awesome Biriyani and other dishes.Very authentic South Indian and North Indian cuisine, affordable and good service.

Very consistent taste on most of the vegetarian dishes. Tried business lunch a few times and mostly the ambience is well suited for business and family visits. The chicken dishes sometimes seem to be undercooked. Variety of options to choose and you won’t be disappointed.

We went to this Indian Restaurant during our visit to St Antonio. This one of the Indian Restaurant we visited in Texas. Food was very yummy and service was also very good. The Best thing was the pricing, we got the bill dinner almost 50% less than what we're expected. Everyone including kids likes the food. Chicken Biryani was my favorite. Serving quantity was also very good.

Last night I placed an order at Biriyani Pot through the phone and they said it will be ready in about 30-40 minutes. I went there about an hour after I placed the call and saw that there is a huge crowd inside the restaurant; it seemed like the place was at an overcapacity. I met one of their guys and said I am here to pick up my order. They charged my credit card and gave me a receipt. Now the saga starts! I am there, waiting for my food. 10 minutes passed. Then, 30 minutes passed. Eventually, I asked them about the status of my order and it wasn't ready. As I was asking, they gave a lady there her order. HOWEVER, they said that some of her order is missing, even though she paid for it, and that is all they can provide. Simultaneously, another man approached the restaurant guy and said he ordered his food more than 3 hours ago and is still "WAITING" to get his order. Hearing all of this, the so called owner of the place opened the kitchen door, and I noticed that the kitchen was unhygienic- the kitchen floor was gross, almost like it hasn't been cleaned in probably days; the kitchen was crowded with several people and THERE WAS A SMALL BOY WORKING THERE! Now, I am wondering if the place is conducting child labor. The owner/manager guy comes out and I asked him where my food is. He says that the order is not ready- this is after 1.5 hours after I placed my phone order. I asked him how long I have to wait to get my order and he says he can't say how long it will take. At this point, I said it's not acceptable and I need the food now. In response he said that I am complaining the second time, as if he is giving the food for free! Now, I was really frustrated and asked him to cancel my order. At first, he refused, but then cancelled my order and gave me a refund when I raised my voice in front of the thick crowd waiting in there. However, I still have to see my credit card account if that refund has happened or not. This isn't the first time my family has had a bad experience. They neglect women- my daughter went there to get our order and they treated her TERRIBLY and they did the same thing to other women as well. We supported the restaurant as it is part of the Indian community, but at this point, I will not be! Now the questions I raise: 1. When an establishment provides a service to a customer and promise to provide service, aren't they obligated to do that? 2. Even if they have kids in the family, is it legally correct to bring them to a business like this and make them work in the kitchen? 3. All that said, does this business have the right to continue like this with a dirty kitchens, conducting child labor, and not fulfilling their service obligations to the customers? Treating customers like they are doing a favor and not apologizing for their actions? In my opinion, these type of establishments should NOT exist. That said, I urge the people of San Antonio, especially the Indian community, to boycott this place. If you still support them after this, then I really can't do much, but bear in mind that you are encouraging bad practices in a community that you live in. The choice is yours ..... If I HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO GIVE ZERO OR NEGATIVE STARS THAT'S WHAT I WOULD HAVE DONE !

Guys, if u want to have nice biryani in San Antonio it may be Veg or non veg both are special here. Nice visit

Great restaurant serving authentic Indian food. The food, even when requested mild, is extremely spicy. Doesn't bother me much now because I've ordered it so may times, but if it's your first time, keep the spice in mind and keep some water with you.

We mainly liked Mutton curry and Chicken biryani for authentic taste and naan for softness. Reasonably priced. Food tasted good and authentic. The quality of service and overall ambience were rather distasteful.

We had a take-out this week for a family lunch. We had 3 orders of Chicken Biryani and 1 order of Egg friend rice. The food was ready well in time for us to pick up at the restaurant. We asked for additional salaan for the Biryani and they were ready to give them to us. The Biryani was sumptuous with substantial chicken pieces (legs and large pieces). Ours was a family lunch and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Large quantities of Biryani or nan or anything. We orders for 3 people and 5 could easily eat. Fresh, hot food. Please let them know how spicy you would like. The chilly chicken burnt a hole in my intestines😄. I realized that and ordered medium spicy Biryani. Yummy. And with a dollar 5 tip, I spent less than what I might have spent at a gourmet Indian cuisine.

These is a chain of restaurants, a first for Indian restaurants. The food was good. They can improve on decor.

A roach crawled our of my rolled up napkin. When reported to the wait staff there was no reaction. Never had that happen in any restaurant. It flew out and landed on the table. So gross

My family and I had been there last week. It is a good place with many options for vegetarians. Good food at value prices. We even managed to get the leftovers home. I've been here for lunch as well as that too was good.

Being a Hyderabadi, I may be picking about biryani's. We had take out chicken biryani. Flavor was below grade and chicken was overcooked. 3 out of 10 on my scale.

I live in San Antonio. I have been to about 5 - 6 different Indian food restaurants. Most are buffets. I dislike buffets. This one, you order as you want. The lunch special is huge. It is easily a two person meal. When the Biryani comes out, it is in a regular sized soup bowl. When you start eating, the food just keeps coming. It seems as though they stuff the bowl. I love the chicken 65 because the flavored spices are well balanced. It is hot, but not the painful hot. The naan is hot and fresh. It is light and fluffy. The samosas are a little greasy, but the interior is flavorful. I also enjoy the pepper corn. Sometimes when you eat fried corn, it is covered and fried to the point of no flavor. The pepper corn still has the corn flavor inside. There is a light flour covering with a good pepper covering. The servers are attentive, but not the type of server that checks on you every minute. The restaurant is smallish, maybe about 40 people at the most, which allows for you to get the server's attention is you need anything. I suggest that you go there if you are in San Antonio and want some Indian food.

We organised a small get together at Biryani Pot. While my star rating is exclusively for their food quality, their service was very poor. When asked they gave an unprofessional reply that sudden influx of customers was the main cause. However, their untrained staff and their slow reaction to every request are areas they must focus on.

We have been visited several times to this restaurant. They have good ambiance, less wait time. During our recent visit, restaurant was flooded with customers and we were disappointed with their customer service and food quality.
Best Indian Restaurant in town
Best Indian Restaurant in town with authentic taste. Very consistent in the quality and taste. Combos on Weekdays are best. Specials on weekends are so popular.
