Service was great! My advice is go hungry! They serve a lot of food at a good price! They have a small area for gifts. We would definitely eat here again if in the area.

I love a good breakfast, especially omelettes and Black Bear did not disappoint!!! I had a California and it proved to be one of the tastiest breakfast dishes I have had in awhile. If I ever go back to Las Vegas, the Black Bear will be on my agenda. Delicious. Service was great!!!

Black Bears always serves generous portions this one does too. Wait time was said to be 15 minutes but was able to be seated in less than 5 minutes.......Bonus!!! I had The Volcano breakfast and didn’t realize the pancakes got bigger in size from top to bottom. Eggs....delicious. Sausage.......tender/juicy. Bacon......thick/very good. Coffee.......hot. Service was quick and friendly. We got our food quick too. Sweet cream pancakes were very good too. Even the glass of ice water was good. I thought carpet needed to be cleaned up and as if they read my mind.....they swept the carpet. How’s that for Customer Service. All out Awesome!!!!!!

My wife and I dined here for lunch. She had the waffle, eggs and sausage breakfast and I had a huge Thanksgiving style turkey sandwich with excellent bread and a salad with thousand island dressing. YUM! Very good service. This place seems to get better and better on every visit. I took photos of our visit and I will return. Sign up for their frequent diner program. My wife ate for free.

Great food, relaxed atmosphere and convenient if heading to Red Rocks Canyon. Was there on vacation and didn’t know where to grab a late breakfast. We tried it and the food was very, very good. Service was fast and waitress was super attentive even though it was packed with people in every booth. I had the steak and eggs with potatoes and was delish! Paid less and had better food than Johnny Rocket on the strip! It is far from the strip so you will transport or your own vehicle. Give yourself time. This place or super busy!

Very friendly staff and waiter! Family friendly and quiet environment. Got the potpie and it was excellent. And all the dinners come with carrots and broccoli on the side. Will go back next time we are in town!

Missed this restaurant. Food was very good. Service was very good as well. Social distancing in place. Wierd feeling. Coffee was a little weak. Seating available but limited. Keep supporting our local restaurants!!!

In Vegas for a couple of days, wanted an girly quick but filling breakfast; having been to other BBDs and this one was only 3/4mi from my hotel at was an easy call. My wife had her usual corned beef hash, and loved it, but enough for another meal. I tried their biscuits and gravy, I’ve had their chicken fried steak before, so I know the gravy will be excellent. No suprize it was but so were the fluffy soft briskets, 2 each about 5” tall and split in two. The eggs were as I requested. Great service to o, kept the coiffed cups filled. It was so good we returned the next day.

Visited here and was not impressed. Felt very much like a chain with overcooked food and pleasant but sloppy service not helped by staff shortages on the day. Corned beef hash poor. Go to Vickie's Diner instead. Much hetter

Very nice interior, very friendly staff, and best of all delicious food. Had the Turkey dinner which was like having Thanksgiving early. Lots of turkey, fresh cooked vegetables, mashed potatoes, cranberry. Not only great tasting but large servings, more than I could eat so needed a doggy bag to take back to hotel. Another person had a hamburger which also was good and large, almost too much to eat. Prices were quite reasonable for Vegas.

We had Breakfast at the Black Bear Diner and it was definitely worth it. I ordered the Grizz breakfast, 2 sweet cream pancakes, 3 eggs; with all Bacon or you can have 2 slices of smoked bacon, 2 sausage links and smoked ham with a boat load of hash browns. My daughter had the chicken fried steak. We ate on this a few days. Jenny was our server and she was great. Full of great angry and she made our visit great.

Great variety and good quality. Lovely setting and special attention to detail. We returned a week later and had the same excellent experience. We love this Diner for having good quality food at a fair price.

The food is as expected for this chain. The prices are good if you stay away from the extras (orange juices can cost you virtually as much as the rest of the meal). The dining room could be cleaner.

Poor food preparation and quality. The avocado toast was discolored and still had some skin. Upside was that the orange juice was fantastic and the waitress was lovely, but I wouldn’t recommend this place. It was very busy, but no excuse for this kind of food.

This is a welcome respite for guests at the nearby Courtyard hotel whose food offer is not great. You can get a very good cooked breakfast and very tasty freshly squeezed orange juice. Staff are generally very friendly and efficient, especially Monika and the African-American lady whose name I’m afraid I didn’t catch but who also made my visits a pleasure. There are nice booths to eat in, or you can dine at the bar. It gets very busy on Sunday mornings - might be good to book if you’re visiting then.

Lots of choices and everything was delicious. I do not always like pancakes (I know weird)however, the sweet cream pancakes were fabulous! I didn’t know this chain existed in Texas but now that we do we will be visiting it.

When we arrived, there were 2 State Troopers there for dinner - a very good sign! The decor was interesting, but we were there to eat! The menu had a bit of everything from steak to Salmon, meatloaf and chicken, Portions were HUGE! My salmon was perfectly prepared. My brother had eggs Benedict (or similar) that was enough for two, and delicious. The same was true for the other 5 meals - huge and delicious. Dessert was well beyond our stomach capacity. We will certainly return!

Celebrated Thanksgiving in Vegas. Had a super simple turkey dinner. Was perfect. Super casual and the price is right. Came with all the fixings, including dessert. Highly recommend.

Large portions available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner -- all day long! Had breakfast on our way to the airport, but sadly they did not have their steak & eggs special, served til 1100 AM. Sadly, we were leaving town and missed out on the prime rib and fish fry specials that start after 4 PM. I always stop at Black Bear Diner while in Las Vegas.

Had breakfast here and I was glad to get off the strip for a good meal that didn't break the bank. Everyone in my party was very happy with their meals. My omelette with hash browns was terrific. Hamburgers were also good and chicken fried steak was a thumbs up from my southern friend. We went back a few days later and it was just as good.

We have stayed close by this lovely diner and just decided to try it because of the convenience. We were pleasantly surprised by the classic atmosphere, friendly waiters and classic breakfast menu. If you are visiting this location on Mon/Tue, ask for Jenny's section, she was our awesome waitress for both days. Try chicken sausage scrumble from Fit and Focused menu - despite the fact that it is healthy option - it was very very tasty and filling. Great selection, friendly service makes it a must visit in Las Vegas!

We always eat breakfast at the Black Bear when visiting Las Vegas or anywhere else that one is available. The is always fresh and delicious!

Great place place to eat. Portions are HUGE. service was great and std very friendly. Would recommend.

Found Black Bear Diner off Tropicana, away from the casinos. Short wait time, good service from April our server. Easy substitutions if you didn't want hash browns. Got extra fruit instead. Good eggs Benedict and omelette dishes. Better quality food and prices than on the strip.

This was one of the best places in Vegas for breakfast. All of the servers were friendly and top notch, the food was fantastic and priced right. I will go back here next time I'm in Vegas.

The diner was a recommendation from the front desk at our timeshare and it was everything and more! The food was exceptional (I had chili with the cornbread muffin), service was excellent and the pricing was reasonable. Next time I am in Vegas, I will definitely come back.

Never miss an opportunity to go the Black Bear when in Las Vegas. Food always good and the staff is great. Lots of variety and the prices excellent.

This Was my first visit and will definitely not be my last. The breakfast was amazing. The portions are fantastic. The service is phenomenal but the food is what makes this place. Good country breakfast. Great variety. Love this place.

My wife and I dined here for lunch. We both started with an Iced Tea. My wife had the Club Sandwich and I had the Chili Cheeseburger with fries. The food and service were excellent. I added several photos of our visit. They offer 10% off for Veterans.

We had breakfast. It was good. Good portions. Food was hot. Nothing special. Waitress was super friendly.

My wife and I had lunch when we were shopping . The club sandwich was massive and the corn beef was delicious. Friendly staff and good food. Good value for money , would go back again.

Excellent customer service all around. My server was Thelma. She was fast and attentive. Very friendly. Didnt wait too long for anything. I can't wait to come back. Food was also delicious. I had a great experience.

Just completely underwhelming, Wednesday night only 1 server?? Poor lady was solo , the eggs were not fresh had a strange dark yellow color, not cracked eggs maybe bulk liquid? the entire plate was not hot, not cold just not hot and overcooked. Sausage was overcooked, dry. The pancakes were tasty just not hot, frozen butter pats impossible to open. We have been here a year ago and it was better, nice people, but just not as good as it was. Maybe try it again in a year from now. 2 breakfast plates $45.00

Plenty of great food. Good variety and fair price. I tried them first in Sonoma and i would recommend them anywhere I go. A must go breakfast!

We love that the portions are huge! We take more home and always enjoy the quality of food. We come for lunch often

my son and I ate here twice while we were in LV should we go back we would eat here again very friendly service with a smile never had to ask for refill on coffee or water good portion size. you can't go wrong here

Had lunch here at this Veteran friendly place. Huge sandwiches and more food than one can finish at a sitting. Good enough to go again!!

We ate breakfast here on the way to Red Rock Canyon. They had the best bacon I have ever had!! They have a wide menu to suit any breakfast needs (plus lunch also). We were the only ones there since it was 6 am (we traveled in from EST) so our service was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant and return here if we are in the area again!

Sarah gave us exceptionally good service, we went everyday during our wk stay at a timeshare in Vegas. BEST BISCUITS ever. (pass on the gravy though). sausage and bacon were perfect and very good for a diner. not to be missed - great value!

My husband found this diner on trip advisor and we tried it. The food was excellent, efficient service, good coffee. He was happy because he could get a cheeseburger which he enjoyed. I had my usual eggs, bacon, toast. Yummy! The theme was cute as well, carved wooden bears, very southwest!

I am making Black Bear Diner a permanent stop on all of my future Las Vegas travels. Arrived at 1030 a.m. and the place was packed. Minimal wait for seating was distracted by interesting interior design and decorations. Customer service was spot on and the food was fantastic! Menu selection was exceptional as our group had breakfast, lunch, and vegetarian requirements.

Fresh Eggs, homemade biscuits the size of my fist, homemade corned beef hash. All delicous and priced well. Did not eat lunch the day I had breakfast there.

Every year when we're here we go to this diner. The food is great the service is great as well as the atmosphere. Definitely excited to have one coming to MT.

I ordered two eggs over easy with hashbrowns and the apple bacon. It also came with a huge biscuit. Food was outstanding. Even though the place was packed, we were able to sit right down. The food took a little extra time to get out of the kitchen but based on how crowded this restaurant was, it was to be expected. I highly recommend this place.

I took a flight from Huntsville, AL starting to 5:30 am CST and arrived in Vegas at 9:30 am for my family visit , so we went to Black Bear for breakfast since I was starving it was great and the portions are huge so we had plenty of left overs for the nex days breakfast.

My wife and I dined here for lunch. We both had an Iced Tea. My wife had the Turkey Dinner that came with 2 sides, chicken noodle soup and a muffin. I had the Chili Burger with fries. Very good food and service. I added many photos and will return again soon.

I like checking out restaurants that are independent and not located in hotel / casinos and this was one of them. Food and service good and will return.

The food, the service, the people, the cleanliness of the restaurant - all are the best! They're practicing proper social distancing and COVID guidelines yet they still make you feel like you can enjoy yourself. The menus are on a scan code on the table which is cool. Our server was just a delight despite being very busy. We just can't say enough good things about this place and the breakfast experience there!!

Food was okay, service left much to be desired, over 30--minute wait. Had to get our own napkins. Other table got waited on with platters of food while we waited

We visited for breakfast on our first full day in Vegas, and it was fantastic. The staff were very friendly, the food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended. Note: actual visit was October 2013, but I couldn’t go back that far.

We were out on vacation and decided to visit some old friends that now live in Vegas. They have been here 9 years and said this would be a good place to have breakfast. The portions are over the top, the food is good then service is good and the prices are very good. I would definitely reccomend this place for anyone wanting to try the local Vegas offerings.

Whilst in las Vegas we visited the black bear diner and it was fantastic- it's the first time ever we have been over faced with the amount of food- it was brilliant value at around $11-$15 for full breakfast and the pancakes on the side were the size of dinner plates with bottomless tea and coffee- the service was absolute brilliant and so friendly

Amazing waiter named Ernest! Friendly and fast and delicious!!! We stopped for breakfast 30 hours into a road trip and he was wonderful, even sent us off with our coffee in to go cups for our next 15 hours!

I am so glad we took an uber off the strip to enjoy breakfast while in Las Vegas. We hit the jackpot! Our waitress was super friendly and knowledgeable about the entire menu. The portion sizes were huge and could probably be shared between 2-3 people. The stuffed blackberry french toast was awesome, hash browns filled the plate and the biscuits were the size of my hand. Everything was so good and if we had more mornings we would have gone back. The black bear theme in the restaurant was also done very nice.

I dined here by myself. I was seated immediately. I had the Turkey Club Sandwich with a cup of soup. Potato soup that was good by strange. The sandwich was very good. Excellent service. They gave me a 10% Veterans discount. I added photos and will return again soon.

It has been years since I've been here and decided to give it another try . I have to say this time it was pretty good and filling . I got the Big Foot Chicken Fried Steak and Gravy with Grits , 3 Scrambled Eggs , and 2 Pancakes . My server was very nice and I was seated and served right away . The place was over half full which was expected since it was a Sunday afternoon . I also had coffee and a water . The Chicken Fried Steak was pretty big , they do sell a smaller one half the size . I was pretty hungry though , so I got the larger one . It was pretty good . The last time I came here was about 5 years ago and the Chicken Fried Steak was greasy and just plain gross . That is why I never came back . I had heard from others that it was much better now , so I came back . I really like the decor too which is like a wooden cabin in Lake Tahoe or somewhere like that . They have a large menu and a big display with lots of pies to choose from . Of course I didn't finish all my meal , but I came close . I love Grits and I have to say these were just okay . I have been to only a few places here in Nevada that do grits and most are just okay except for 2 places and the best one is in Laughlin . The pancakes were big and pretty with powdered sugar on top and two containers of syrup . I thought I might have to ask for another , but they were plenty . They were good also . The scrambled eggs were fluffy and even the coffee was pretty good . I will come back again to try other things like maybe lunch sometime . I'm so glad it has gotten better and gives me another choice to eat at close to home .

Massive breakfast but also of high quality. 3 sunny side up eggs and the yolks were perfect. Pancakes as big as plates. Perfect for sharing or if you have a fridge in your room for left overs Service was also a credit to the place. Outlet mall is right next door so perfect stop on the way for shopping

Met friends for breakfast and honestly wasn't that impressed. The food was good - portions rather large like many diners. But the service was slow and the place was pretty loud. I don't totally discount a place on a first visit because there are a lot of factors which can make a visit good or bad. So perhaps next time we're in the area we'll give it another try.

We had the worst experience we cone here all the time. My sons burger was a hockey puck when he asked for medium. The manager ben he was told 5 times to come to our table. Not once so my son ate fries absolutely unprofessional he shouldn't be a manager . Tropicana and Jones. Our waitress tammy was wonderful she tried to tell him to come see us he neglected us. So they ended up taking 80% of my sons meal because he ate the fries!!!! Can you believe that. It's sad we've been loyal customers for years. Just sad 😔

Traveliers, it is worth finding a Black Bear Dinner! Awesome! The food was awesome, service was too, can't go wrong!

Black Bear is one of our 'go to' places when we visit Las Vegas. You get plenty of good food and the wait staff and manager comes around often to make sure everything is fine.

We ate 2 different BBDs in Vegas and both were excellent. Great food with large portions, friendly service and good prices. Can't wait to try another one.

Amazing place! This made us think of our favorite breakfast spots in Pigeon Forge, TN and it did not disappoint. You get a very large portion and will definitely be back.

We had been here before in 2016 and 2018 and had not expected the restaurant to be able to get even better, but we were so wrong. The food is freshly prepared and tastes wonderful, the tea is great but most of all, service is unbelievable. I cannot recommend our waitress, wonderful Jenny, enough, she is a joy to be around. On her days off, April took care of us, and she was equally fast and friendly. We didn't even think about having breakfast at any other restaurant on the Strip, the quality of the food, the prices and the service you find at BBD cannot be rivalled by those places.

3 teens and 2 dads woke up in search of a great well portioned breakfast, this was it everything was great and massive portions all left happy and full.

This is a chain of diners, with many in Utah, Nevada, and California. We ate at the St George (Utah) and Las Vegas locations. Both restaurants were nicely decorated with large bear murals and carved bears. The service was quick once our large party (13) was seated. The servers were friendly and attentive, the portions were large and nicely prepared. Their little pies were delicious (each was easily 2 servings). The menu is quite extensive; breakfast is served all day. You can order similar items in different portion sizes. We will look for these diners again!

We had such a great time we went back for a second visit. Just as great as the first! You will not leave hungry and sharing is promoted.

Our family chose this diner as recommended by a chef that lives in Florida. Boy oh boy were we happy we listened to him. Our waiter Haleigh was awesome. She had a really positive attitude and very attentive. She recommended different meals from their means and it was sooooo good. I would recommend Black Bear Diner for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. From your TN girls

My wife and I had the GRIZZ special and were not disappointed! we had more food than we could eat and took a doggie bag back to hotel for the next morning. The food was fairly priced, delicious and was just as tasty reheated the next morning. Very busy with locals but service was fast once the order was in.

We enjoyed an excellent breakfast with excellent service!!!! We will definitely return to Black Bear on our next trip to Las Vegas!!!

Liked the Black Bear in Bullhead City, AZ. Could not wait to eat at the one in Vegas on our last visit. Ordered the meatloaf and pot roast with backed potato and green beans and corn bread. Just like home cooked comfort food. Filling and took a slice of pie to go.

What a great establishment on the south end of the strip. Great menu options with huge servings and prices that don’t break the bank. Very friendly staff, our waiter Bobb was patience and very helpful recommending some fine dishes. Dining area not crowded, plenty of room between tables. Clean restrooms, and adequate parking. You will be satisfied when you make the trip.

I can't say enough about this place. We were on vacation for a week and just ate here every day. We were glad to find a hometown type feel place to eat with hometown style food! We had great service every day. Don the manager spoke with us and was a very nice person with a great story he was sharing with us regarding one of our day trips we told him we took. Our coffee was never empty. The biscuits are to die for.. literally they may kill you if you eat too may. They are HUGE. Delicious and moist. We will continue to look for sister restaurants in our travels. Good job!

Good food, great service. The meal was excellent, what you would expect from a home town diner. We stopped in here after getting in to Colorado Springs, if the rest of the restaurants are this good, I’m going to go home 20lbs heavier. Try the lava cake a la mode, it was amazing.

This place is great, it is mainly locals that were here but everyone was so friendly, the menu is great printed on a news paper. The prices were very reasonable and food was fabulous, the portions are large so make sure your hungry. This is a must to visit and it make a nice brake from all the hustle and bustle of the strip. A big thank you to the young man who served us you were great and was so helpful to us silly confused brits lol.

Good service, atmosphere, and food. We were pleased at the speed of delivery and very child focused also. Great place to enjoy a meal

Came in to eat with 5 family members. Upon further review they couldn't supply a single menu. Told to download and text. We were out to eat not play and get frustrated with phones.

Had the country fried chicken steak, a single pancake, hash browns and scrambled eggs. This meal was just what I needed! Combined with a coke or two, I left full and ready for the day ✌🏻

Service was ok, but could have been allot better. They either need more training or a younger crew of servers.. FOOD WAS VERY GOOD..

The service was exceptional and friendly. The food was done quickly and prepared exactly like we wanted. There were no complaints about anything on the menu and I thoroughly recommend this for your next family outing.

Everything was great and they are very generous with their portions. We did the light menu and still didn't finish the food lol. Great place, friendly staff, nice family atmosphere.

VERY friendly and courteous staff. DELICIOUS FOOD and AMPLE PORTIONS! We are the pot roast, mashed potatoes, and baked beans. SO GOOD! Everything was very clean down to “no spots on the silverware “. The Manager even stopped by our table to make certain everything was well. We are here for only one week but we WILL make a point to return!

Breakfast is very good, sausage was great. The coffee is hot and they keep your cup full. Wait staff friendly and attentive. Price is reasonable. Will eat here again.

Doesn't seem like there's anybody working in the front counter. Called a few times nobody picked up this place seems like they need to hire more people

This is a hidden gem! We ate here for breakfast. The food was wonderful and the portions were huge. We will be back!!

We ate at the Black Bear Diner while staying in Las Vegas. We were drawn to the restaurant by the neat carved figures of bears outside the entrance! Once we got inside, it was just as awesome. The service was great, The meals were tasty, and the portions were a good size. It was a great experience!

We ate here for lunch and all three of our meals were great. The waitress went over and above and I'd visit here again.

We visti Las Vegas at least once a year and The Black Bear Diner is ALWAYS on our itinerary. Their food is great, the amount of food you get for the price is amazing. Then staff are very nice and the decor makes you feel like home.

This is a classic American diner with a southern twist. It does all the classics plus burritos and more. The food was really well cooked enough to fill you without being over full and not cheap but the right price. The staff were great and looked after us well. A good place to eat

My wife and I dined here for lunch. We both had an Iced Tea. My wife had the Chili Cheeseburger with a salad. I had the Chili Cheeseburger with Cheddar Broccoli Soup. The salad, soup and the amount of chili on the burgers were smaller than on past visits. The service was good and they do give a 10% discount to Veterans. I added many photos of our visit.

We arrived at 10:45am in Super Bowl Sunday. Despite the waiting area being full, it was a 15-20 minute wait to be seated. The staff are welcoming and friendly. We were seated and checked out the massive menu. Breakfast, to lunch, to supper. So many items to choose from. We waited about 20 minutes for our order. The portions were substantial. Even the kids and 'lighter portion'. Steak and eggs, lighter portion breakfast, kids meal and a milk shake was $40. Everything was really good. We would return when back in Vegas.

This is our third visit to the third location, and all 3 locations served cold food. The service is amazingly good, the portions are big, the food quality is good. It is just simply cold! I have ordered breakfast ( it came cold), chicken fried steak, cold, turkey dinner (very cold). I have had to ask for my food to be reheated every time. This last time, at the Moore, OK location, the server brought our salad and literally before our second bite, she brought our dinner. Sides were cold, entree was cold, salad was perfect, iced tea was warm. Italian green beans were just regular green beans and were the coldest item served. I give up on Black Bear. Too many great choices out there for a truly hot meal!

Located on Tropicana Avenue - west of I-15 - this is excellent hidden gem of a restaurant. I tried their roast turkey dinner meal. It came with 8 ounces of quality, sliced roasted turkey, fresh broccoli and carrots (sauteed crisp, not limp), a huge corn bread muffin (yummy!), and house salad. An unexpected delightful meal. I wish I had saved room for dessert - they had cheesecake and a few varieties of cream pies. Give it a try.

The last night in Las Vegas and looking for a place that would have something for everyone and found the Black Bear Diner. It was everything a Diner is supposed to be, an extensive menu of basic meals in a no frills relaxed environment, serving great meals with great service. Additionally it is a bit off the strip and away from the crowds making it a destination. I’ll be back for sure.

We went for breakfast twice in one week while on vacation. The pancakes were amazing and tasted like cake! No need for syrup. The service was good and very clean.

One of the few restaurants that opens at Christmas. With excellent service despite having a limited Christmas menu. The menu has few vegetarian options but no one goes without eating. They should update their system to assign tables. Since (it has never happened to me) since my cell phone number is not American, the message cannot be sent when your table is ready. And to be honest the food didn't have the best flavor or texture. This is just because it's Christmas. Overall it's A GREAT PLACE.

This place was recommended by someone else so we left the strip for breakfast. Excellent choice for breakfast with a wide variety of choices. Comfortable cafe setting with great customer service from the staff.

Went to Black Bear on recommendation from local. Great food and best service I have seen in Vegas. Prices are very reasonable. Love the decor and atmosphere. Very clean too. Menu is quite varied with plenty of variety.

As a former single dad i must have taken my kid here a hundred times. Now its sunday and we just didnt feel like cooking. Great famiky place. Huge portions. Good prices. If you just got up from your hotel or dice table and need some nutrients to druve back to CA... stop here and fill up. This is the diner food of years gone by with great customer service. Even during peak time sunday i never wait long. Usually get immediate seating. Lots of free parking right there. All of the wait staff is really good. Some are really great. If you are a regular they recognize you and know what you like. Discount for kid meals

Great breakfast with lots to choose from. Big menu. I had the breakfast Scrambowl and it was huge and very filling. Overall this is a classic diner feel. Love that they play oldies (rock and country) from the jukebox. Service was good. Even though it was very busy, my server Flower was very attentive and pleasant. This place won’t win any Michelin Awards, but if you are in the area looking for a ‘stick to your ribs’ kind of breakfast you could do much worse.

It’s been about three years since we last ate at this Black Bear. The food was just as good as always. Two of us had the lite Tri-Tips, one the fried chicken and one the all you can eat fish. All we’re really good. I will be back.

My friend and I ate there on a weekday. The only really good thing that we had was the onion rings. They were hot and crispy. The rest of the stuff was mediocre at best. The place was crowded and noisy. It was around 1130 in the morning. It also was too cold in the restaurant. I don't understand about cooling these places lower than say 75 degrees. People go in with shorts and freeze to death because apparently the temperature is around 72 degrees.

Tried diner for breakfast/brunch. Not disappointed...cinnamon pancakes best we've ever had...some of our group had philly steaks with eggs and hash browns excellent! We wanted to try some of the fruit pies as they looked sooooo good but we didn't have room for them .

Food is awesome and plentiful! Staff is very pleasant and engaging. Cute atmosphere. Pricing is exactly what you would expect at a family diner. Also, located pretty close the the airport and is an easy stop in the morning on your way to catch a flight. Hint: There is a big mall behind the diner if you need to grab last minute souvenirs.

Best meal we had in Vegas in 6 days. And also the cheapest. Large portions, served hotel and delicious. Will go there again!!

Haleigh. Was outstanding it was 10 Of us and she made sure we had everything we needed. Great job!!!

Had the best pancakes I ever ate at the Black Bear Diner. Large, fluffy and reminded me of moist vanilla cake. The bacon there is something to right home about too.

If you want an old school, authentic American Diner experience then this is the place to go!! Book an Uber from your hotel as it’s quite a way out of town! You won’t be disappointed when you arrive with great service, a massive choice and LOTS of amazing food on your plate!! The prices are unbelievably cheap for Vegas, if it’s value for money you want, you need look no further! We went here twice whilst in Vegas and would definitely go back if we visit again!

We were seated for quite a while before we flagged down a waited but then Cameron took good care of us. The food arrived in a more timely manner and was tasty. We took a blackberry cobbler to go.

The is a great bargin if you are staying on the strip in Las Vegas. The prices are much lower than the casinos. Every item we ordered were fresh and delicious.

This place cannot be beat. All the food is outstanding, especially the breakfast. Look them up. That are all over California, Nevada, Utah, some in Arizona, Montana, and now Arkansas and TEXAS. 😀 LOVE IT!

Stopped at this diner twice during my stay in Nevada once for breakfast once for dinner. Truly amazing and such a great find!! The food was amazing, the staff is so friendly, and the portions!! You will not leave hungry!!

Place is very busy on Sunday morning had a 30 minute wait. Had Joe's hobo omelet with hash browns served cold and not very appetizing . Also had the club sandwich with avocado and sweet potatoes fries that was very good. Service was ok,But need to turn down the music not at a concert way to loud for a restaurant.

My wife and I dined here on Easter Sunday for brunch. Very large portions. I always seem to order the wrong thing. I had a meat omelet with breakfast potato's and toast. My wife had a turkey sandwich with a salad. I added photos of our visit. I like Blueberry Hill over Black Bear Diner in all ways.

If you are in area make sure to stop in. Food was great, something for everyone!! Very large menu with all day breakfast options. They had Sweet Tea which we were really missing in our travels!! We would eat there again.

My wife and I dined here for lunch. We both started with two Iced Tea's. My wife had the Meatloaf Dinner. I had a Chicken Noodle Soup and the Chili Burger. Very good Chili. The service was excellent on this visit and management should be very proud. I will return soon. Photos added.

I’ve been disappointed in black bear the last few times I’ve come! The service was just not good. I decided to give it one last shot today. And boy am I glad I gave it a shot. My server Thelma provided the upmost service and was bubbly. She got my order correct and the food was amazing. I will definitely be back. We need more service this here at black

Black Bear Diner is a congenial place. They have good recipes for fine dishes. But their service and overall management is substandard. They proudly offer prime rib dinner specials on Saturday and Sunday evenings. I arrived less than an hour into dinnertime Sunday and placed my order for prime rib and sides. Minutes, not seconds, later my waitress came back and tried to make light of the fact that "the cooks used all the prime rib Saturday night, so it's not available now (on Sunday)." Had they posted a sign at the cash register or clipped a message onto the menu to announce the unavailability of a featured item, I might not have walked out of the place at once - feeling disgusted (disgusted, but not surprised because this is the trend nowadays in Vegas, and not an unfortunate exception.

We ordered breakfast for lunch and it was delicious! Huge portions! We couldn't finish it all. Amazing wait staff, Ashton was terrific!

The menu selection is endless. All the staff were very friendly. Our orders was taken in a timely manner and the food was hot when it was served. We all enjoyed our food and it was excellent. The Reuben sandwich was delicious and I highly recommend it. My wife had the CA burger which was also great. We both had the sweet potato fries which we again recommend.

This is our "go to" restuarant chouce in Vegas. Not to be confused with other Black Bear concessions... this is the BEST... food & service! Expect a wait, but the staff moves guests through like a well operated factory... and with a smile. Bob's Big Bear burger & sweet potato fries is fabulous! Their buscuits are absolutely mouth watering. Great food, lots of it AND, excellent service!!

i got the chicken fried steak. in their defense, I have had worse. the breading quickly turned to mush. I should have gotten the meatloaf. mashed red potatoes needed more seasoning. Their lemonade needed more sugar and water. Salad, garden veggies and muffin were good though.

First of all, April was out server, and she is delightful. Went for breakfast, again and again. I love their Portuguese sausage - mildly spicy. This is family dining. As the title reads, the fresh squeezed orange juice is great. Order it in a glass with a second glass of ice if you want the most OJ. Whether you order hash browns or red potatoes, the portions are large.

I rated this dinner 5 out of 5. I've been going to Vegas some three to five times a year for the past 6 year . I've never been disappointed. Friendly staff clean restaurant good food and reasonable price.

We went for a Sunday breakfast and the food was great. Had one of their scrambles and their special for the season pumpkin pancakes. Everything was served hot and the food was delicious. Only thing from stopping me giving them a 5 was the long wait

Great diner on the southern strip! If you’re in the area or staying at the nearby hotels, this is a great breakfast, lunch, and dinner spot. The menu (which is a newspaper style menu, great detail to the historic nature of the diner). We had breakfast for lunch the day we arrive to LV and were not disappointed with our options! We had the volcano and also build your own breakfast - the sweet cream pancakes are so good and unique and must try. The same can be said about the french toast; the egg is fresh and so were the bacon and Turkey sausage links. Overall, what was noticeable was that none of the food we ordered was greasy or oily, so superb quality. Our waiter Bob was also great to have!

Good place to eat. Waitress was fantastic. The Taco salad was huge and the ranch is so very tasty. I would say this is a very budget friendly place with decent eats

My wife and I dined here for Valentines Day Breakfast. We both ordered Iced Teas. My wife had the Eggs, Sausage, Potato's and Toast and I had the Chicken Fried Steak, Eggs, Potato's and English Muffin. The service was excellent. Management should be very proud. I added a dozen photos and will return again very soon.

This is my favorite place for breakfast! The diner is "beary" themed. You'll find the usual great options, plus blackberry items and an amazing cinnamon french toast. The only downside is it can get quite busy, but we tend to end up there around 11am, after the main rush.

Good food, good prices, and very welcoming. This is a chain restaurant, but is decorated and staffed like the family owned restaurant that it truly is.

Not only were the staff efficient they were friendly. This place does every thing right and I can’t wait to return. We had chicken pot pie and it was worth the 20 minute (routinely) wait. Fragrant and seasoned deliciously. The pastry top was buttery and fresh out of the oven. Good choice to have peas onions and carrots.

This is a must-do if you are starving. The portions are huge and the food is amazing. We loved it here. Service was really efficient and prices were very reasonable.

Well this the second Black Bear restaurant we dine during our road trip and was no difference than the other one in Tucson The food as super fresh and the service was super friendly

Maybe a great spot for breakfast, but my lunch was not that great!!! I have the bacon cheese burger and fries. I was very disappointed with my meal. The burger was very very well done and dry!! The bun did not seem fresh either. Overall I don’t think I’d ever go back for lunch... I might try a breakfast here. This review was for the location on Durango and Sahara, in the Smith’s grocery store location. My sister had the California burger and she did not like it either!!

Every time we are in Vegas, we opt to eat here...it's just a mile from the airport and south of the strip. Also, you can get onto I-15 quite easily! The selections are overwhelming.Everything we have had here is delicious, but we are partial to the meat loaf! the prices are very reasonable and the service is always great!!

This place is a great place for breakfast and not far from the strip if you've got a vehicle with you. Prices are better than at the casinos and the food is very tasty. We went several times and ate a variety of their breakfast offerings and enjoyed them all, especially their country fried steak and omelets. It seemed fairly full, but wait time was minimal. I signed up with them online prior to the start of our travel and received a coupon good for one free breakfast, worth about $11. The waitstaff were friendly and helpful.

Locals always know where to go. We had dinner there after we picked up our car. Large portions and very good. I had the club sandwich. Husband had the BBQ. Great servers. We will be back.

Food was outstanding with huge portions. Numerous choices for breakfast and lunch. Great quality for the price. Will return for more great food and service!

If all the Black Bear Diners @ all locations is as good as this one, I strongly recommend these places to Eat. We found the staff friendly & they serve a lot of food & it is good. Their prices are reasonable.

We have been to the Black Bear diner many times on our trips to Vegas, their service is top-notch, their food is always cooked and delicious. Do yourself a favor and get away from the casinos and take a drive over to one of their locations.

My wife and I dined here for lunch. We were seated immediately. We both had an Iced Tea. My wife had the Turkey dinner with mashed potato's, salad, green beans and cranberry sauce. I had the Chili Cheese Burger that came with Clam Chowder. The food portions seem larger than on past visits. (This is a good thing, because other locations always had larger portions). The service was excellent on this visit. I added many photos and will return again soon.

First time at the restaurant, not this location, the one closest to the airport. Delicious food, huge portions!! I would definitely recommend it! The sweet potato fries were the best I’ve had in years!

I thought I would try Black Bear as it had such good reviews and I'm glad I did. I had the Pot Roast and it was yummy - I wanted to have a dessert but I was too stuffed so that says a lot. The menus are quirky, made to look like a newspaper and the inside of the diner is great - it looks like a proper diner and not a fake one. I hope to visit again on my next trip to the US.

After many disappointing meal/service/hotel amenity failures, I finally found something to rave about in Las Vegas: Dominica, our waitress, and the Black Bear Diner! Cutest decor, thick cut bacon to die for. The orders came out hot, correct, and quickly, we were full, happy and not broke!! 5 star restaurant in a 1 star city

Stopped in for breakfast after leaving airport. It was busy but we were seated right away. A lot of food for the money and fast and friendly service.

We had breakfast today & the meal was well prepared, excellent & offered large portions. We thought it was very good & recommend it thoroughly. The omelet I had was well prepared & was very satisfying. It came with a variety of potatoes, grits or fruit. They also offered bread, muffin, biscuit or pancake. My husband had classic eggs Benedict & he was very happy. The prices are a little on the higher side, but the quality & attentive service was basically worth the bill.

Every time we are near a Black Bear Diner we eat here at lease one time each trip. Our server was great, food was great,

My brother and I love to visit the Black Bear while we are out in Las Vegas because we do not have any in Virginia. We went to two Black Bears this trip. One on West Sahara was not my favorite. Server was a little preoccupied I guess, it wasn't busy when we got there so... We then went a couple of days later to the Black Bear on S. Las Vegas Boulevard. And Ashton was fabulous, he kept my hot tea filled the coffee filled and our food was delicious.

BBD was one of those diners you can only get to by car! It’s a far better experience than IHOP or DENNEYS . We went for breakfast, it didn’t disappoint!, bacon thick , sausage thick and very tasty!. Endless coffee refills, second visit was different, due to poor service! But the first visit the server was excellent . It’s the most British breakfast we have had in 20 years of visits!

Just off the strip on Tropicana you will find the largest portions of the best food you will ever eat. Take the few minutes, get out of the ground and noise pollution and venture to the real food of the the west and south west. Huge platters of baked steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, 4" cube size biscuits that melt in your mouth; enormous omelettes; amazing deserts. This is a place that showcases homemade homestyle good with service that rivals the so-called southern hospitality. There isn't another place in the area that can compete. The manager is an amazing, jolly, joyous man who makes you feel as if you are visit grandma's house. The staff are the best around and they sure know how service should be. Plan to have a doggy bag, be full, and want to come back. Be sure to pickup a blackberry or blueberry cobbler or a huge bear claw to eat for breakfast with your coffee. Forego those overpriced, chef-less, restaurant wannabe's of the strip in those overpriced hotels and venture to the Black Bear for real food!! Although this facility does not have an automatic door - no worries - they will be there to open the door for you!! Don't go to the Black Bear diner on Las Vegas Blvd - it is poorly managed and they could care less about service or quality food or serving the food in less than 40 minutes. We watched their server use his hands to move pancakes on a customers plate. Disgusting behaviors.

Waited 10 minutes for a seat at the counter during breakfast. Once seated, we watched oranges being fresh squeezed as waiters and kitchen staff traded "Dinerese" phrases and moved around each other like a dance team. My eggs were perfect and so we're my spouse's. We both ate as much as we would and left about a third of the food we were given on our plates. Pancakes were fluffy and amazing with blackberry jam. Potatoes, bacon, and Portuguese sausages excellently prepared. Price is in line with portion size... if you are able to eat it all.

If you need a good dinner with value for money og excellent service go to the Black Bear Diner. Foods good and helpings are just right. And we got great service. Great place for families. And it is close to Las Vegas Premium Outlet South.

This is a wonderful breakfast spot! I had no idea the chain was so large either as we had never eaten here. We had French toast and eggs Benedict and both were yummy!

Simple, but comprehensive menu of home style dishes... big portions & great prices! My favorite is Bob's Big Burger & sweet potato fries. Big desserts, a bit tooo sweet for my tastes. They have other branches or franchises, BUT this is the Best!¡

We went there in order to experience the places which feeds normal America. The staff was polite. The coffee- so different from a regular espresso. As to the food - very filling, but not my type of breakfast. Overall must try this type of places.

A good friend of mine from Pennsylvania who used to live and work in Las Vegas told me about this place I went over there on my first night I was in Las Vegas for five days to make a long story short I ate there probably at least six or seven times absolutely incredible food! Huge portions attentive service plenty of refills out the door to go refills as well it’s slightly on the pricer side, But for what you get it’s a very good value. One particular waitress really stood out her name was Elba or Alba, Such a friendly nice woman she goes above and beyond what her job requires. The manager is one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet! Very personable and accommodating you can tell he listens to your comments and concerns I ate breakfast lunch and dinner offerings they’re all were excellent when you get down to it the whole staff was really nice Rosa was a very nice lady as well there’s a husband and wife team that worked there I don’t remember their names but they were very nice as well they’re trying there level best During COVID-19. I couldn’t believe that you actually had to make a reservation for a diner but it’s due to Covid so I quickly understood. I’ve already told a lot of other fellow travelers about this place and you can bet when I return I will go there happily I easily spent probably two to $300 and it was worth every penny keep up the good work you should be a model for what other diner should be thank you very kindly sincerely Thom Crabtree Plano Texas

This was a very busy restaurant. The reason being is that the food is really outstanding. The servers are superb and the price was right. The steak and egg breakfast was yummy!!! Highly recommend going to breakfast at this really cool restaurant.

The staff is really nice and the food tastes really good so I recommend it. The menu is really cool. 😀😀😀😀😀😀😃😃😃😃😃

Perfect place to eat after you land from a long trip from the east coast. We always get to Vegas in the am but our tummies are on lunch time so you can get breakfast, lunch or dinner in the morning! The French toast was sweet and the omelet was loaded. I ordered the turkey club sandwich which was buttery and stacked with meat. I’ll definitely be back:)

Weekday lunch. No wait to be seated as we got there around 11. Really great American food, but really slow service. An amazingly extensive menu. We hope to visit other locations in our travels.

This plase is all they said it would be and more. Our server was amazing and the food.... OMG it was soooooo good!!

Excellent diner, so nice to escape the chaos of the main strip. Really good food and service but the portions were enormous!

My wife and I dined here (to-go) for Easter Dinner and ordered the family meal. It was the special Ham, mashed potatos with gravy and green beans. The portions looked a lot larger in their advertisement than what we got. Very friendly service. I will not do the family meal again from Black Bear Diner. Lesson learned. Photos added.

We did not book a table for breakfast. But got a table after 15 min. The food was okay, but we only got half of what we ordered and had to ask for it "to go" when we had to leave. Slow operation.
WE ATE UNTIL WE COULDN’T “bear” TO EAT ANYMORE
We were in Vegas, from Florida, before we discovered this gem! It looked very busy, but we are glad we stayed as the wait was only 10 minutes. Trust me when I say the breakfast was amazing…our table had 3 different omelets, country potatoes, grits and an order of the cinnamon roll French toast and it would be impossible to pick the table’s favorite. The coffee was hot and delicious and the biscuits were amazing. Also, our server, Enat, was excellent. She did not hover over our table, but seem to know when our coffee cups were empty. We will definitely come back!!
