Monica, our server, was excellent. We went by boat and sat outside on a beautiful day. Great view! Outside tables on the water side need fixing up - old, sitting on slope, wobbly. They were out of fish and chips - shouldn't happen at a waterfront restaurant.

Not a fan of their food, service, or anything about it. Go somewhere else to spend your money. Rude owner as well.

We called BluWater late on Christmas day hoping for a last minute reservation for dinner and they got us right in. The food was really very good - moist turkey, perfectly cooked prime rib, and excellent sides. Service was also good. As an aside, the restaurant itself is past it's prime and is in desperate need of some updating and TLC. It's not beat down enough, though, that the dilapidation could be part of the charm. Having said that, I won't let it stop me from coming back for a non-holiday meal in 2014.

we love coming for a beer and some food and love the water views. friendly staff and the food is always good.

If you're looking for pub grub with a seafood influence, this place is great. Right on the lake so nice views.

My friends meet here every Sunday. The happy Hour specials (which I assume are on the regular menu) go from great to good: fresh wild king salmon (umm), ribs (yum) and lots of other choices on the menu that changes at least 2x a year. And they have parking.

Our family of 6 adults thought we could enjoy a great seafood and or steak dinner last night here. First indication of the upcoming let-down, was the dirty entrance floor. Our waitress was great, but the dinner served was worse than anyone expected at the price. Crab Legs were so dry, they were nearly tasteless. My ahi should have been sent back. Perhaps they were both freezer burned or SOMETHING! Roast Beef French Dip was an embarrassing shriveled up overcooked thin couple of pieces that was hardly edible, We packed that up in a doggy bag for the dog at home. Rib Steak order was fatty and chewy. Stuffed Mahi Mahi was left half uneaten. Hamburger was bland, but was served with AMerican Kraft cheese, not cheddar. Way overpriced and we left feeling ripped off. Good for beer and french fries I guess, but not for a fresh seafood or quality steak dinner. Disappointing to say the least.

This restaurant had the kind of menu I love! Good salad selection, lots of choices for entrees, but not too many. Even a knockout dessert menu! My husband had the ribs , which he said were delicious and I had the French Onion soup. It was just the way I like it with the Gruyere cheese melting over the edge of the bowl. My mixed greens were fresh and tasty, too. Our server was so nice and attentive, we decided we will make this one of our go to spots. We even made reservations for a Valentine's dinner! All this, plus a great view of Lake Washington ! We loved the Bluwater Bistro.

Went to BluWater for the first time this last weekend and all I can say is WOW! The team there was very friendly and the food was exceptional! I ordered a steak and it was probably one of the best ones I've ever had. Also, ordered a salmon appetizer and it was absolutely delicious. Very clean restaurant and fun and classy environment. I'll definitely be returning again and recommend it to anyone!

Great happy hour food and drinks. Small crowd. You have the entire restaurant to yourself. Great waterfront view. Great view of Bellevue. Lots of value. We will be back.

Owner called me a Liar... I had a wonderful day on my boat with my wife, my son and his new girlfriend. After 4 hours on the lake we went to Bluewater Bistro (been multiple time) and where very happy to get a table on the lower level outside. Our dog was still on our boat and the very sweet waitress said our dog could join us (she even brought him water). We had cocktails and appetizers and ordered our dinner. My son and I both ordered their cowboy ribeye. We ordered MR and Rare. My sons arrived Med-Medwell and my rare steak was Medium (We understand steaks get overcooked sometimes). The waitress was very apologetic and offered too re-cook. We asked for a menu to look at other option. She offered to put the steak in a togo box for our dog instead of throwing out (that was a first and it made us happy). While she was away the owner (looked like a homeless person) arrived our table and said our steaks looked MR too him. I asked him to bring back the steaks (my steak was supposed to be Rare) and show me it MR and Rare. He said they threw them away already (waitress said she was putting in a box for our dog). He then called me a liar and wanted to get into a confrontation that upset me, my wife and table. Ruined our beautiful day and evening. I'm not someone to be called a liar in front of my wife and son. I lost it. The biggest looser was our waitress. I will share my experience with everyone I know I'm sure for the next few days

Had a decent enough meal here the other night but this place needs some serious management attention; the restaurant seemed worn and dirty to us. There are a lot of shiny/varnished wood surfaces in the restaurant and on tables that seemed smudged. Our menus were dirty and stained; the drinks menu was literally so disgusting that we dared each other to pick it up. One brave soul in our party did pick it up, and the pages were so disgusting they stuck together. We did enjoy the view out to the lake -- but the window was smudged and dirty. Food was good; service was very attentive. Would not take a lot to spiff this place up if the management were paying attention.

This is our favorite restaurant in the Seattle area, primarily because we have become good friends with the wait staff and owner. It also helped that my new wife lived just a few doors down. Although a bit limited in the number of entrees, the food is quite good and the ambience is superb. We love the open view of Lake Washington and the Cascade mountains off in the distance. Overall, it is our go to restaurant when we are back in Seattle, visiting friends or just taking a loving evening out for ourselves.

We went to BluWater Bistro for Christmas Dinner, and it was a mistake. The turkey was dry and tough, and the dressing was glutinous glop. The portions were large, but only the asparagus was well prepared. The venue was drafty and needs a good cleaning. The staff were friendly but very disorganized.

We traveled to BluWater in early June for dinner. Service was barely there. We ordered chowder and it arrived cold at our table. The two spinach salads were limp and had no dressing whatsoever. Everything had a distinctive Denny's feel. So sad as they have a nice location. Most of the folks there looked like it was a Thursday in February. Nothing to get excited over. The worst meal we had in Seattle. Please skip it. Trip on down to Queen Ann and try the Five Spot. Now that's a real great restaurant.

BluWater Bistro is an excellent on-the-water restaurant on Lake Washington in the Leschi neighborhood of Seattle. Outdoor seating, during good weather, is THE place to score a table. Brunch is the, IMHO, best time to dine here.

We dropped in to the Bluwater Bistro for a late lunch yesterday while boating on Lake Washington. The staff is friendly and the food really tasty. It is convenient to arrive by boat or car. There is a charming patio area on the street side with big shady trees. They also have outdoor seating on the lake side, but it was rather sunny there when we arrived and we preferred shade a cooler setting. I enjoyed the salmon BLT, but the toast was dry. Mayo fixed it, but it could use a spiced mayo dressing to spruce it up and make it really special.

We have walked in several Saturdays now, after work, around 7pm, and have always been seated promptly by the nicest staff. The Blood Orange Manhattan is so good that I can't seem to order any other drink! We shared a cioppino last night that was pretty near perfect. A couple of weeks ago we had the scallops app special, and that was divine! This is a fantastic neighborhood spot a the top of Greenlake that is a real gem.

The food was phenomenal! I ordered the crab stuffed mahi mahi with asparagus and mashed potatoes and it was delicious!! The staff was nice and thoughtful! The view of lake Washington from inside the restaurant was gorgeous!

A group of us met here for a Sunday brunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. The view of the water was great, the staff was great and the food fabulous. I enjoyed how we were not rushed at all because five women getting together after over a year had plenty of catching up to do and world problems to solve. The staff was very relaxed with the time we took at the table and never once did we feel they wished us to move on. They refreshed coffee, tea and water over and over - with a smile. The prices were very reasonable for a morning brunch but the meal sizes were very large. Half of our group took them home for another meal. I had the goat cheese and spinach omelette and will say it was yummy. The roasted potatoes were very good and enjoyed by everyone who got them with their meal. This restaurant is located in such a lovely area to walk around that it would be very enjoyable to take a leisurely walk afterwards. I highly recommend this restaurant, at least for the breakfast. I must go back now and check out the lunch and dinner menus.

The meals were all well prepared, well presented and very tasty. I had quit coming here a long while back because I had been disappointed in the food after having been a regular customer for a long time. I gave it a go yesterday and it was great. Sat outside (Lakeside). Had prompt professional service . In fact I keep thinking about our meals,,,, Will return today or tomorrow I am sure. If you were disappointed in the past give it a go you will not be sorry

Dined here with a group of 12 on the weekend. One of those rare sunny spring weekends in Seattle. We dined outside, which you definitely want to do while here. The service was outstanding, and the food was very good as well. I was going to get the fish tacos, since I have had those before, and they were REALLY good. This time I opted for the pizza. In my experience pizza at a non-pizza place is a crapshoot, but this one was very good. No regrets at all. The restaurant also catered well to the four tweens in the group, and all of us were happy. Especially those in the group drinking Manhattans. One downside...when commuting by boat there is VERY limited boat parking, and the dock rail is high and dangerous for small boats

We have been to this place three times now and I just love it! The food is consistently great. I've had the encrusted fish once, the last time the ravioli with pear & blue cheese. I ALWAYS have the clams as an appy. We've had their pizza's and sliders too. All of it is good. Haven't had anything we didn't like or could be improved upon. The location is superb!! It's hard to try somewhere else because we keep wanting to go back to this place. We've sat inside and outside. This place delivers in every way. even the drive there is beautiful!! We recommend it for any occasion.

I am a nurse, new to the area and currently working at Swedish hospital during the pandemic. Bluwater has been gracious enough to provide our hospital staff with delicious boxed lunches, so I ordered dinner from their curbside service to repay the kind gesture. I'm glad I did. I ordered the bleu cheese salad and the wild king salmon entree. The bleu cheese salad pear, thinly sliced red onion and smoked almonds over a bed of mixed greens, it was a great contrast of flavors and textures all combined with a spicy bleu cheese dressing, excellent. The salmon dinner was quite large (I had leftovers for work the next day) and was perfectly cooked (medium rare). The glaze had a little bit of a spicy kick which was a nice compliment to the fatty salmon. It was served on top wilted spinach and seasoned, roasted potatoes. This was by far the best dinner I’ve had in the Pacific Northwest! I will be back FOR SURE and look forward to having a margarita on the outside deck overlooking the water. I highly recommend this place!

Recently visited Bluwater Leschi for their 'Seafood Louie' salad--yes, it's very worth the trip over the hill from downtown just to have this delicious dish. (so wish they had it year-round)--full of crab, shrimp, mussels and topped with nice piece of salmon. It's a winner. While there our area was waited on by Sarah. This little gal just whipped around taking care of everyone, bringing food, cleaning up and makijng sure we were all being taken care. As an administrator, I could see that this young lady was worth two or three others. She's a whizz!! Great food and good service, Sarah!

We had visited this restaurant before while visiting our son in Seattle. The menu is extensive and we enjoyed our street tacos, seafood salad and burger. One issue was a hair in the french fries. Another issue was watered-down ginger ale that was quickly replaced.Quality control needs attention but nice location.

Menu perfect with plenty of variety. Enough wines for every taste. Staff and service was excellent performing under difficult issues. We ate outside on the slanting walkway. Top of table never flat, chairs uneven and food slid and bottle tipped. Wished we had eaten inside. For all else was great. Would return and avoid outdoor dining.

This place is consistently good! The waitstaff are always cheerful, helpful, and knowledgeable. The food's alwyas good, no , in fact, it's simply delicious. I love the limited menu as it allows the chefs to focus on what they do best. Oh, and there's the view -- right on Lake Washington. Gorgeous view. Definitely one of my favs!

As things were opening up, we had three graduations to celebrate, so we decided to have our group meet here. We were 10 people, so we split into two tables of five. Some of us were outside on the lawn, the others inside. The place was pretty busy, but I imagine everywhere was busy that evening. I ordered the ravioli for my dinner, and it was absolutely dreamy! However, I ended up not feeling well the next day, so something in the dish upset my stomach. Our waitress was very efficient, and the waiter at the other table was absolutely fantastic. He had the table with the graduates, and they were a bit boisterous. He was terrific with them! Everyone enjoyed their meals, and we had a lovely time. All the staff were respectful and polite, so hopefully this means some of the issues mentioned in other reviews were dealt with.

We were welcomed with a smile and friendly waitstaff. I had a hard time deciding what to order - everything looked delicious. The tomato basil soup was amazing. Do not go here if you are in a rush. It is a laid back, relaxing experience.

This place has a large menu to satisfy all needs and tastes. We had the Ceasar salad which had the perfect amount of dressing and cheese. The pizza was the real star of the night! Delicious thin crust topped with pear and arugula along with walnuts and blue cheese. It really hit the spot after a long day of travelling and sightseeing!

My adult son & I traveled to Seattle to visit a long-time friend of mine who works for Boeing there. I looked online and found this place for our Thanksgiving: 29.95 for each person which included soup or salad; 2 entree choices from turkey/ham/prime rib, the 'fixings' and pumpkin pie. We had a 1:00 reservation and the gal wanted to seat us WAY in the back by a very very long set up table which I anticipated being a big family with lots of kiddies. I asked if we could sit at the front and we sat right in the window at a table for 4 looking out at the park and the water across the street. Very fun neighborhood and busy and eclectic. We all 3 chose the field green salad with walnuts, cranberries and vinagrette. My son, who generally hates salads, even loved it! I ordered prime rib and turkey. The turkey was fine but the prime rib, though a huge portion, was too fatty for me. Son ate mine plus all of his ham & prime rib. I enjoyed the mashed potatoes and gravy but the stuffing wasn't my taste and I noticed my son & friend didn't eat much of theirs. We had the pumpkin pie which we all thought was delicious and spicy. We had a great and friendly waitress who was very pleasant and welcoming. It was a bustling place and fun to be in. My friend came the night before and said he had ribs and a drink at the bar and it was very inexpensive, like 13 bucks. Nice, neighborhood type of friendly place!!

We asked to be seated outside, they do not have great accommodations for this, we had stuff from the trees rain on us and our food, the ground slopes and plastic tables don't help. The blueberry drinks were delicious and the stuff salmon with crab tasted amazing. Great variety of desserts, key lime pie not so good, try the chocolate ones. Great service.

Concerned with a couple of issues. Order was wrong. This can happen. However, when advised, waiter brought correct order. Then though correct order was $2 less than original incorrect order, bill was not adjusted. Total bill therefore was $2 plus tax higher than the correct amount.

It was hot and we wanted a light meal by the water. This was our first time here and won't be our last. I had seafood Louie. Huge with plenty of seafood on it.

Terrible food and a dirty place. Things lacked flavor and the state of the kitchen restaurant was less than desirable. I would avoid it just because of cleanliness. I saw a few cockroaches in the bathroom

pricey pub food.

My niece took me and my family here for Christmas dinner and the food was outstanding. You had the option to choose between Prime Rib, Turkey, and Ham. You got all the fixings (i.e., mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, green beans), and pumpkin pie for desert. Our server Katie was awesome and very attentive even though she was overloaded with customers. She was friendly and had a great sense of humor. The restaurant was packed with customers for a traditional Christmas dinner. They even have an awesome menu for New Years Eve. I would like to visit this place again to taste their normal menu. I would highly recommend this visiting this place when in Seattle. The views of the lake were awesome.

My partner and I had one of the best brunches there. The views of Lake Washington and Mt Rainier were spectacular; the bloody Mary's were filled with vegies; the banana bread appetizer was delcious; and the entrees were superb. I especiially liked my avocado scramble with cilantro crema and potatoes garnished with different grated cheeses. It was a nice way for us to celebrate 11 years together.

We booked a table for New Year’s Eve and they handled it really well. The lobster was very good and the fireworks display from the dock was magical. Great service, food, and location!

I see there are many negative or so-so reviews. My experience could not have been better. It was a sunny day, and sat at a very nice little outdoor area with a view of Lake Washington and Mt. Rainier. The server, Amanda, was accommodating, friendly, and efficient. Had not been to this cafe for years. I know it's changed names, but the location absolutely cannot be beat. I enjoyed the relaxed and casual atmosphere. Food was excellent. And, having a cold one sitting on the little area in the back, while looking at the Lake! C'mon, this IS Seattle at its finest.

Outdoor dining on Lake Union; kayaking onsite

We live only minutes away and last ate at BluWater - Leschi several years ago...after a prior very poor experience. The last time was only slightly better, and we've never been back. However, we made last minute dinner plans to meet another couple who also live nearby and found none of our regular haunts available. To be brutally honest, BluWater - Leschi was a last resort and had a multitude of open dinner times. We were desperate and hungry...so BluWater it was. Frankly, we can't even now remember what we ate, but it was definitely not bad. And even the service was vastly improved...at least our server. If based upon this most-recent experience, we might even return to try it again. The next time will be on purpose :-)

Inspired food, casual setting, great drinks and a very nice water view make this one of my favorite lunch time getaways. Great tacos, great wild boar, and the best marguerita picantes that I've ever had.

I used to frequent this place for its food, location/view, and close proximity to my home. Unfortunately, after my last 3 visits there, I avoid this place now. I will not go into the details, since it's too numerous...but suffice it to say the quality of food and service has progressively become substandard for at least the last two years. The common things I've experienced include, long waits for food, un-enthusiastic service, dirty surroundings, and I've had some dishes that didn't seem to have fresh ingredients and unskillfully prepared and cooked. I would only come here for a beer or a drink and only on a nice sunny day, since they have a well-stocked bar with outdoor seating. Overall, I would not recommend this for dining especially to tourists because this is one restaurant that does NOT represent the quality of food and dining experience that Seattle is proud of.

Dinner was as disgusting as their sick humor laughing at what not see Musk has done to this country. Shameful! Do not go here!

Died & gone to heaven! Outside plastic chairs, but sunshine, drinks & ceviche with Mt. Rainier as a backdrop absolutely cannot be beat! Near Leschi Park where you can walk, ride or run...soooooo lovely and relaxing, I don't want to leave!!

It's a truism that if you have the view, you don't need the food. Here you have the view and great food ... but fall short on service and maintenance. First: excellent piece of salmon can be added to any salad at a reasonable price. Fish and chips were first rate cod and excellent crispy fries. Beers were cold, and reasonably priced. But the overall atmosphere was lacking. Place looked like it could use a really good cleaning, and not much attention was paid to spilled food or general debris. Handy parking and great opportunity to watch the boats on Lake Washington. Felt like it was resting on its laurels and didn't have to earn your business..

We had a pleasant lunch and the wait staff was excellent. The food was very good too, specially the bread with olive oil dipping sauce. We sat outside and noted that this restaurant, with its awesome views, could use some improvements. We're not sure if building improvements are possible or affordable, but here are some ideas. The outdoor section is severely lacking. It's weird and narrow and has a dangerous step up - a serious tripping hazard for staff and guests. It's also right next to the parking lot. An outdoor deck would be such an improvement. We went inside to use the restrooms and found it very dreary and dark inside with visible decline on the wood floors, etc. Other than that, we had a nice lunch.

Two of us had the ceviche, which came with about two pounds of chips (OK, I exaggerate). The dish of ceviche itself was tiny, expensive, and not really worth mentioning. The menu is only OK; the best part about the restaurant is the view to Lake Washington.

Don't bother. My friend had a groupon to try this place out. The manager came over to make "loud" statements about how it wasn't accepted on a bank holiday even though the groupon was specific about which holidays it was / wasn't acceptable for and the day they went they made sure prior to going that it would not be conflict. It wasn't the issue with any misunderstanding of what the group meant that I'm rating this one - I'm rating it based on the fact that the manager went out of their way to try and embarass my friend by speaking LOUDLY about why they did not want to accept the groupon at the time even though there were only a few tables taken at the time. Bad, bad, rude, rude. Why bother.

Meet/meat market. Some cool bartenders though..

I've been here on numerous occasions. They have an excellent happy hour menu of adequate tasters. And, the dinner appetizers are as good. Recently tried the muscles in thai sauce, not spicy, but very tasty, especially with the sausage. Fish and chips was a bit over cooked in the deep fry, making it a bit crispy versus soft crunchy, but the fish itself was good. The view across the lake on a nice night is just great, with the ability to grab some small 4 tops out the back. Rainer to the south, Bellevue to the east, and boats on duck dodge some nights. Cool breeze and great sunsets. Inside, they have free tall shuffleboard (with sand and discs), that make for a relaxing time to hang. Also have a pool table, but can't recall if there's a fee. Enjoy it every time I go, and the servers have been stacked in rotating 3's and very attentive, so someone always seems to be eager to help make sure things are right, fill the water, etc.

Went with a group on 9 before going on the Christmas boat. Attentive unrushed service. We had a variety of meals, but all were very good. Meatloaf, burgers and Chicken Parmesan were favorites. Would return if I were in the area. Be aware, it can be extremely loud on a busy night (cannot hear the person across the table) and it is quite dark--almost need a flashlight to read the menu. My only complaints.

Scenic dining room view, solid menu of bar food and excellent entrees. Owner usually on site, staff are friendly, and importantly, they serve Mac 'n Jack African Amber. We avoid places that don't.

Went here for dinner on Christmas day, had an excellent meal. Turkey, ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry, green beans, all good. Prime rib was extremely rare, but not a surprise with how packed it was. Was seated along the windows on the east side, overlooking the lake, can't beat the view. Staff were quite good, even better when you consider how busy they were. Can't speak to the quality of the menu as I was there for a limited offering. Decor is nice, not overly fancy. Would love to try this place on a regular night, check out the seafood.

I have been to the Greenlake Bluwater a handful of times and each time I leave just a bit disappointed. I can't remember any dish being remarkable. The atmosphere is good. We were overcharged once and I remember it taking longer than expected to adjust the bill. I always want to like this place becuse the atmosphere is great in Greenlake - and the Leshi location seems perfect for a sunny afternoon but that is the only thing I am excited by - location/atmosphere.

love all the bluwaters

It's got a nice atmosphere and a good selection of foods and drinks at all hours of the day. In the summer it opens up to the patio and it's nice to enjoy drinks and dinner outside. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

We were greeted promptly and received our water and bread within a moment or two of being seated. I liked the atmosphere of this restaurant. There weren't a lot of other diners (late lunch), but the background music was pleasant and the large windows provided good lighting. I had the seafood seviche. It was beautifully presented and tasted good. I had to eat all of the chips that came with it in order to feel satisfied. The guacamole was good too. I was a bit surprised that we weren't offered dessert. We might have ordered one since we were having a celebration.

We went on Easter. We had excellent food and service. I loved my Salted Karamel Delight which was made with salted marvel vodka and hot chocolate.

Nice views at both. Good food. Nothing to freak out about.

View of Lake Washington & Mt. Rainier, on a clear day, is a plus. I had Thai wings as an appetizer - very good, but I should have been given a moist wipe for my fingers. My main was meatloaf - tasty, but too large a portion. My wife ordered tac salad - the strangest one i had ever seen. Mediocre.

The food here is quite good -- interesting dishes, well-prepared. But the experience was spoiled for us by the atmosphere and service. Crowded, noisy, not very clean tables and chairs -- slow, inattentive service. Probably won't go back.

Good place to take someone for the evening, or a good place to just go for happy hour with friends.

A friend and I had lunch here on a rainy April afternoon and the view and food banished the rain blues away for us both. I opted for a spicy Paloma to start, a piquant half twist on the more familiar Margarita, made even better with a rim encrusted with Tajin. Then I enjoyed a salmon BLT sandwich, served with perfectly crisp fries. I can imagine this is a popular spot in the summer, but it also nicy filled the bill on a rainy spring weekday. Dessert looked tempting, but neither of us had room for another mouthful. Next time!

Came for a mid-week (Wednesday) dinner and it was excellent. It wasn't crowded so we got a waterside table. It was pleasant to see all the lights of the cars coming across I-90 and the city lights of Bellevue across Lake Washington. And as other reviewers have commented, it is somewhat dim/dark inside. Which can make reading the menu a challenge. I had the BBQ ribs. Four big ribs, topped with onion rings. The onion rings weren't the usual thick rings; rather, they were thin rings, something like shoestring potatoes. The ribs were well cooked, and the BBQ sauce was savory and didn't overpower the ribs. My spouse at the special street tacos filled with salmon, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Surprisingly, my ribs were less expensive than the street tacos (by five cents). Go figure. The service was attentive (but it was a very slow night with only three other tables filled, so this may not be indicative of what service might be on a busy night). The complimentary parking was nice; so different than dining downtown. The only downside is trying to get to the restaurant. Driving down from the Mt. Baker Ridge, many of the streets don't directly connect the ridge with Lakeside Ave. So be sure and use your GPS if you're going.

Food was marginal at best. Salad served with no dressing. Wrap was dry. Fish and chips were bland and not worth mentioning. Martinis were the worst we have ever had anywhere. How do you mess up a lemon drop martini? Service was nominal. And, no split checks for our table of two couples. The whole evening felt as though we were bothering the service workers. Bathroom was dirty. There is nothing good about this restaurant except the views.

Had reservations on Christmas night. Place was packed, including walk-ins. The staff were calm, friendly, attentive, through and through. You'd think they would be going mad. But never. The meals were delicious, from salad to prime rib, turkey, ham, salmon, and ravioli. We are definitely returning for a regular dining experience.Parking was plentiful and it is on the water. We thought the pricing provided good value.

Came in a Sunday brunch time and liked the variety of interesting tasty choices including shrimp and grits and a grain and egg bowl as well as the usuals. Fish and chips seemed less flavorful than I remember from past times but all in all a pleasant easy spot with no wait when other places are too crazy on Sunday’s Love the parking and ability to always walk in and get a seat often with a view anytime of day. Service is always good too.

Beautiful environment and they served gool lunch food like many of the cheap eat places that surround the place.

With the vast array of excellent restaurant choices for travelers to choose from in our fair city, I can't imagine leaving Seattle with either of the Bluwater locations as your taste of what we have to offer in the way of service or culinary delights. The food and service have always been mediocre over the years, and that remains to this day. While the two remaining locations are either convenient, or have nice views, they don't make up for what is sorely lacking - quality food or even marginal service. There was a previous reviewer who mentioned an overcharge to their bill. After six phone calls, and notification to the owner, there is still no resolution to my being charged three (!) times for the same meal. And no apologies offered for the mistake. Unforgivable. Stay away.

This place has really gone downhill. I've been coming here for business lunches for years, but it's getting to the point where I wouldn't want to bring someone here for a lunch meeting. The location is still great and parking is generally easy to find. Today I had a salad, which you'd think would be hard to mess up. However, about a third of the lettuce was wilted and rusty. Not fresh. Disappointing.

Great outdoor deck along Lake Union - Perfect for Summer happy hour.

We took a short boat ride from the east side of Lake Washington and tied up at Bluwater Bistro on a beautiful sunday morning. We had reservations, but would have been seated immediately anyway as the restaurant was not that crowded. Our server was polite and efficient, and let us know right away that Bloody Mary's are only $3.50 at brunch. We didn't order anything specifically for our 5-year-old, but there was plenty of good food on each of our plates to share with her. We'd definitely go again.

I go to BluWater bistro often. The restaurant ambience is great especially if you have a booth looking onto Lake Washington. The food is always great and the prices are very reasonable for the location and scenery. This is a great spot for brunch as there is never a wait and the brunch food is amazing.

The food was tasty and the service was superb. Courtney went above and beyond, bringing extra lemon for the ice tea, blue cheese for my salad and many other personal touches!!

We ate breakfast here before my son flew back to Australia. Good variety of food and reasonably priced. This location is right on Lake Washington - i am surprised the restaurant doesnt take a bit more of an advantage of this - the restaurant could do with a bit of a "spruce up". Otherwise, would recommend for brunch.

First place we ate in Seattle so may be a little biased. Fish and chips were great and the chowder was first-rate. The outdoor seating with heaters (if needed) is the place to sit. Prices were fair and service was very good.

Let me start by saying I am a local and have eaten here at least a dozen time before and do enjoy the food. I am writing this review to warn others of my experience when I went to plan a large group diner of 30 people. They do not want large wedding or business groups here so please do not waste your time like we did unless you want to buy out the restaurant. We are doing a destination wedding in Mexico but needed to do a legal wedding here in Seattle before hand so we wanted to invite close friends who could not come to Mexico to the ceremony and a nice diner. We contacted BluWater and they said they would be happy to help us. We told them from the first contact that we wanted a semi private dining area. Our contact said that for 30 people on a Thursday evening they had a semi private area that they could separate off. We thought perfect. We started to make plans with the menu and what we would need as a deposit. It was only at this time that it came back that we would have to guarantee them a minimum of $1800 before 20% tip and 10% tax. The average plate that we were planning was around $28 per person so that would mean we would have to agree to buying a minimum of an additional $44 per person to meet our guarantee. That was like asking us to buy each man woman and child a bottle of wine each. That is crazy. I will never agree to over serve my guests. I responded to our host that seemed outrageous and got an email back from the owner that the only way that he would block off a private section would be to buy out half the restaurant for the entire diner rotation. I responded that we couldn't do that. His response was that he was not willing to change from the guaranteed minimum. The frustration is we were bait and switched. We felt we lost a planning week. They could have known that policy from the start when we asked for a semi private area and been up front. I respect that they have a business to run and that it is a business decision not to take large groups but please be clear and train your people to set the right expectations. That way no one will be frustrated enough to write a review of a negative experience to warn others.

Roasting marshmallows at my table? Yep! Who needs the beach? What fun and how romantic! Beautiful lake front dining, great selection of old favorites. Mac & Cheese , steak, chicken, pasta, full bar and a happy hour in the dining room...my kind of place!

Visited on Easter Sunday. Special menu with some of the regular brunch items as well. Treated ourselves to Bloody Mary's which were terrific! Could have easily spent the afternoon enjoying the fantastic lake view and drinking Bloodies! Lovely brunch - delicious and sizeable portions of French toast and crab quiche (the special). Very busy that day but pleasant surroundings and attentive server. Highly recommend!

Summertime... go to the patio and enjoy a fruity drink!

The apt is on the water. I had steak and eggs for under twenty bucks. The service is excellent and the location on the water is relaxing. The steak was not of Daniel’s quality, but it was perfect for breakfast. Fine dining experience.

Went during a random weekday afternoon so they weren't overly busy. Server came around to check on us the right amount. Food was solid. Restaurant is just north of I-90 so it's convenient if you're staying in Bellevue.

Had dinner here with several friends last week. Seated promptly by our friendly and efficient server Katie. Several appetizers and salads and main courses later everything was delicious and tasty! The sliders were really good, as was the rock fish and the steamed clams Several local brews on draft. Lovely view of Lake Washington and marina. Would definitely eat here again.

Dirtiest place ever! Used cutlery on floor around bar, Hasn't been vacuumed in weeks. Disgusting windows. Dirt and dust everywhere. Was hungry but thought if this is the best the owner can do to present an attractive place to eat what the hell is the kitchen like?

come during sunset, very pretty views. great friendly service, try the bread pudding at the end. Ravioli was also great. make sure to ask for a window view table.

As a loyal and regular customer at BluWater Bistro Leschi, I was disappointed the last time I ate there. At the table, my order was taken last, and at the end of the meal everyone's dirty dishes were cleared except mine. I was the only woman at the table and I was the only adult of color. I spoke with the owner/manager on the phone yesterday, and he was rude, unapologetic and because I said in my private message to him, "Racism must end," he told me that my language in the message, specifically the word "racism," was inappropriate. All the other servers have been wonderful and I have been a customer as long as they have been there. I won't go back unless an apology is offered.

Went with my (adult) son and friends for Christmas lunch fixed menu, Two choices of starter a salad or Butternut squash soup, we all went for the soup which came in a very tiny bowl we had to ask for bread and and salt that took ages to come. The main was ok only small portion of string beans no other veg the beef was good alto we asked for more dark gravy to go with the meat and was told only had white gravy (breakfast kind) which was strange as we had been given a tiny pot of the brown gravy with the meal! Turkey was very dry but the potatoes where very nice. No choice for pudding just Pumpkin pie and as we didn’t like this asked for alternative was told cheese cake so 3 of us asked for this, only one portion was brought to the table after about 5 minutes waiting for the other two we asked the server and was told they could only change 1 and the other 2 would have to have pumpkin pie......no reason given set menu was $39 each was very average. Not great service mixed messages Food average Value not great Added this as I couldn’t tick the drop down boxes.

Bad waffle, bad management, I do not recommend that restaurant definitely I wrote the manager a note to call and he did not bother to hear my complaints or even listen, food was generally bad for the location and not clean inside. They did not even find our reservation and they said the guy who did the reservation was not working that day we were there!

I haven't been to the BluWater since the 80s when I believe it was called the Leschi Lake Cafe. The good news is that it has the same great location and laid back ambience from back in the days of big haired blondes and mullet pornstachioed dudes. The better news is that in its current incarnation the BluWater does a first rate brunch! This coming from an 80s dude who still believes in the sanctity of the "Buffet" style brunch, which is not the case at BluWater, but it was so good I just didn't mind. Perhaps it was the Bloody Mary, Mimosa, or....uh? Lost my train of thought. In any case the BluWater has a nice combination of good food, service, & cocktails even if is not the late 80s.

It’s a beautiful drive from University of Washington ….not as pretty if you are driving from downtown Seattle. The restaurant is located on the West Bank of Lake Washington. Bellevue, WA is directly across the expansive lake. We were there for lunch-appetizers. The chowder was lacking flavor and needed salt. The Calamari Appetizer with dipping sauce was delicious! Excellent plate presentation re: Ceviche Appetizer and it was also delicious. Our Stella Artois were a perfect accompaniment with our dishes. Service was average. It’s a nice restaurant but probably will not return.

Went there for Sunday brunch with a Groupon and wasn't sure what to expect with some of the negative reviews. We were seated at a table with a view and within less than a minute of sitting down, we had 2 waters plus a straw cup for the 2 year old and a plate of yummie banana bread slices. The banana bread and view kept the little guy entertained till our food got there. Our waitress had an amazing memory - never wrote anything down and our order was exactly what we had asked for. She checked on us periodically to make sure we had everything we needed. I had a simple breakfast with eggs, sausage, potatoes and wheat toast (their wheat toast is soooo good - you could tell it was not done in a toaster but on the griddle). The serving was huge and probably some of the best scrambled eggs I've had at a restaurant. They were soft and not overcooked and perfectly seasoned. The kiddo had sausages with the banana bread and gobbled it all up. The hubby had the avocado/ham ommie and said it was ok-good but the creamy sauce it came with was amazing. We both left with leftovers for the next day. Overall all, service was great, food was good, but the view was SPECTACULAR and we will definitely be back - hopefully on a sunny day so we can sit outside.

Lovely setting for a restraurant - felt like a community establishment. Food was delicious (especially the s’more dessert). Service was great. And there is parking!

I've been going to BluWater Bistro for years. The location is great, and while the interior is a bit dated and a lot of the menu options are overpriced, I have a ton of fun memories from this place. For that reason I still went pretty regularly for happy hour. That's why I'm so sad to write this review, because I definitely will never be back. I was there on a sunny Saturday afternoon with a large group of girlfriends celebrating our dear friend's engagement. We had reserved a table for happy hour for part of our bachelorette party celebration (they knew this when they took the reservation). We had had a round of drinks and had ordered a second when the waitress, who was very sweet, asked if we could please keep the noise down. While we were polite, we were celebratory and having fun, and decided that realistically we probably couldn't. But we respected that they wanted a quiet environment, so we cancelled the orders we had just put in, asked for the check, and started packing up to leave. Our waitress's service had been great and we were preparing to leave a nice tip. At which point an older male manager came over and angrily told us that he decided he was kicking us out, he didn't want our money, and then he called us all a gross and misogynistic slur that I won't repeat here. It was shocking. Now - we are a group of professional adult women, most of whom have worked in the service industry, so we know how to behave in a restaurant. While we definitely weren't quiet, we were not at all out of line. And I have never been kicked out of an establishment in my life. But honestly, none of that matters. Under no circumstance is that the way for management to treat anyone. Especially since we were already leaving - he clearly just wanted to insult and deride us. When we called to complain the following day, we found out that this rude and unprofessional manager who treated us so poorly actually is the OWNER of BluWater! He naturally did not take our complaint seriously, and in fact laughed about the encounter on the phone. Like I said, I've been to BluWater many many times over the years, but I will never be back. If you're looking for a good alternative in this neighborhood, Meet the Moon, just down the street, is a better option, both in terms of food quality and ambiance - and certainly in terms of management and professionalism.

There are several locations in the area. We enjoyed the Kirkland location for our anniversary and the Lake Union location for New Years. Tasty food and amazing views.

Great food & drinks, excellent view, and friendly staff. Best burger in town, wagyu beef with bacon, and cheddar on this side! My son gets Margherita pizza and we always save room for their s' mores, you can roast the marshmallows at your table. Good place for family or date night.I always have a great time here.

We had heard that service here is good and found that to be true. Everyone was so helpful and made extra efforts to make us comfortable We enjoyed being on lake Washington on a beautiful day and the easy parking too. The seafood Louie is supposed to be excellent so I tried that. I thought it was fine with plenty seafood but thought the crab and shrimp were rather tasteless and the dressing seemed like bottled 1000 island rather than homemade. I might try something else next time.

Good food and great service. Nice view. This place gets pretty busy later in the day. Highly recommended for a lazy, easy lunch or happy hour with friends or even alone. I went with another friend, I had Crab meat with Mahi mahi and my friend had King salmon sandwich, they were delicious. I ordered fish and chips, crab meat Mac&Cheese and chowder to take home to my family and we all loved it.

Nice dinner. Haven't been back

a good time, but the chocolate fondue and brandy is delicious.

Not bad.

We had our daughter's 30th birthday dinner here. There were 25 of us and even though we did not have a pre-selected limited menu the food was served promptly and without any mistakes. We were all eating at the same time, everyone liked the food and the desserts were also delicious. The great food and service and table-top s'mores made this a festive event. I recommend the black cod and black berry cobbler. Yum!

We had gone to this place a week earlier as our first outing after the Covit-19 lockdown. We had drinks and desert and the waitress was very nice. We promised to go back so we went back a week later and had a disappointing experience. Very disorganized, 3 people came at different times to take our order, the drinks took forever, they brought my husband’s appetizer and main course at the same time, there was hair in my food, they handled cash and touched other items including plates and glasses. In general, I don’t trust the hygiene and safety of this place.

The chop salad comes with a dressing I was not thrilled with...I like Italian on it, this was kind of blue cheesey..My cod was fishy..yuck.But the appeizer of flatbread was awesome and I love the marshmallow dessert is fun!

Our waitress Rebecca was great, very friendly. However it took forever to get our drinks…first Bloody Mary was great, Second Bloody Mary used different vodka different salt rim and no asparagus, olives etc. I asked for extra crisp fries. After waiting a long time for our meal it came delivered by a young man. When I stated I had ordered crispy fries he immediately took my plate back which was good but it took a long time to come back and he obviously put the fries and the fish back in the cooker because the fish came back with some black on it and really overdone. Overall the meal was “meh”.

Take friends here for a great Patio experience in the summer. You can dine and watch Kenmore Air planes take off and land.

Had a great day until I was treated badly by a bar person taking my carry out order. She was racist not kind and abrasive. I will never take my money to such a place again. I tried to talk to management and got cut off when explaining and they did not seem to care. That being said they have lost a customer and I’m happier to never give Blu water my business again!

Really good burger, amazing views of the lake. Watched the blue angles from the deck on the lake Washington side. You have to try the key lime pie.

But I chose a salad so it's difficult to rave about it. Great ambiance and views. Next time I'm going big on some seafood.

OK, it was mothers day and they were busy. But the total lack of service a low quality food were enough for my to know that this is a place to avoid at all cost. They have a total attitude of not caring.

My family and I came here to celebrate my graduation. The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly. Word to the wise, share your dessert--the portion was huge :)

Came here on a Sunday night and experienced mediocre food served by a jovial server. The burger was meh, the baked brie wasn't baked through, the ice cream was crystallized. The bread served at the beginning was delicious in its olive oil dip, and the fish and chips were ok. Probably won't return.

I was really disappointed with the Easter brunch at BluWater Bistro. We've been several times before and always had a positive experience but Easter was a mess - starting with a limited menu selection which we were not made aware of when booking, and then the wrong food being brought to our table two times, then being mis-charged for items we didn't order and over-charged for something we did (and despite trying to correct our waitress she did not want to change the amount so we overpaid because we were fed up). Did not feel like the restaurant did a good job of social distancing either! We will not be returning.

The crab and shrimp had that pre-frozen texture, and the crab legs were served refridgerator-cold with melted butter. He sent it back after tasting. My Louie(?) salad was masses of shredded iceberg lettuce; mussels, shrimp, overcooked smoked salmon, and I woke up with diarrhoea the next morning (one of the mussels I think). Service was nice - apologetic about the crab. Will never go back.

Great waterfront views and perfect burger! This place is great in the summer or in the fall by the fireplace. i am going back to try their weekend breakfast

We had lunch here last week. They had plenty of tables available outside. My son had the Wild King Salmon, and he cleaned his plate. I had the Fish & Chips. It was wonderful! Service was great ... our waiter checked on us several times.

This was our second visit to this place and I was impressed the first time but not so the second. I made a mistake in ordering Chicken Parmesan ( Italian ) in restuarant that specializes in american food. I'm really not sure if it was chicken because it was in a compressed state and lacked taste.

I've been going to this location for years. It's views and ambiance are excellent. It's casual dining in the Leschi/Madison Park area with outdoor seating. I have a home within walking distance and thoroughly enjoy the food, beverage selection and attitude of the staff. Parking is easy, if you're driving and it's great for warm evenings. I recommend it.

I've been going to the BluWater since I was young. I love this place and visit often. I made a reservation for a 10-person bachelorette party for 4 p.m. in their lounge. We were asked to lower our voices by our server shortly after our arrival. We were being loud, but confused because there was one diner in the same area who had been laughing along with us and only one other table in the entire restaurant, which was in the far back corner away from the lounge. Not sure we could turn the volume of our large group down, we immediately decided we should leave out of respect for other diners and asked our server to close us out for the first round of drinks. However, a manager then approached us and escalated the situation by telling us we needed to "get out because of our wh*** mouths," that our money was no good, and that he was going to call the cops if we didn't leave immediately. We were already on our way out, and this misogynist on a power trip felt he needed to put a group of 30-year-old women having a great time in their places. This is not how you run a business, and there is never a time and place to tell a woman she has a wh*** mouth. We will not tolerate this behavior. The group of us that came in is made up of a data scientist, physicist, advertising and marketing professionals, mental health provider, business owners, and teachers. We will not be silent. We will be heard. Time's up. *UPDATE* In between writing this review and posting it, new information has come to light. One of our friends called the restaurant to file a complaint against the manager who used the derogatory term against us, and found out that he is actually the owner of BluWater. He laughed, asked her if that was all, and hung up. After that, he called my mom. I repeat, he called my MOTHER, who was not present during the incident. He asked her if she was my mom, she said she was. She then asked him how he got her number and he told her that her name was under the reservation, which is not true as MY NAME was on the reservation. So he must have looked up people who had my last name and called hoping he'd get a relative. She reported that he was very odd on the phone. At first he said he wanted to de-escalate the situation and that he had received multiple calls of physical threats from our group (another lie). When he realized she already had heard about the incident, he became testy with her, told her that him calling her was a bad idea, and that he had filed a police report against us (most likely another lie since we were peacefully leaving the restaurant during the ordeal). I am appalled and shocked that this is the OWNER of BluWater. Obviously we won't be going back to his establishment, and this will NOT be the last time you hear from me. -- see attached screenshots for similar reviews from other customers --

Great location on Lake Union. Nice patio with views of the lake. Food good/casual

Comfortable old Leschi waterfront location, with the atmosphere of a cozy English pub. The food is predictable, though that is part of the charm . . . don't miss the mac & cheese! Superb!! Friendly staff, EASY, FREE parking and good drinks. This venue has changed ownership over the decades, though this may possibly be the best yet ~~!!

Excellent Ribs, Atmosphere and Service!

Arrived for dinner yesterday after the flight to Seattle. Ordered ribs from e starter menu, they were not only delicious, but HUGE. That's all I had as I couldn't manage anything else. Great service, friendly staff, great setting looking over the water.

Good dessert

This used to be a hang out for me. I love the chocolate chip cookie in the pan with icecream on top! The cookie is served hot.

Oh, this place is terrible. A group of about 10 of us went here for a work lunch, and it was just bad. They served us bread with dipping oil, which would have been nice except there was a moth in the oil. And, there was a bug in my water glass. Just... nasty. The food was pretty bad as well, there are MUCH better choices on Lake Union. This place would be my last choice.

Try the S'Mores :)

We've dined at BluWater bistros at Green Lake, at Kirkland and the one by Lake Washington. All have been good experiences. The one at Green Lake especially is friendly and well-run. It's almost "fine-dining nice" but with TV screens and a lot of families and a fairly high decibel level if busy. I like their BOLT sandwich: salmon, bacon, onion (I omit), lettuce and tomato on a really great grainy bread. The Parmesan snapper is very good too. The wine list is satisfactory, with a couple nice Sauvignon Blancs, which is nice when you don't care for Chardonnay!
Nice place for lunch in the winter and summer.
A great little spot for lunch in the summer or winter. I has a nice area where the bar is... You can sit near the fireplace. The food was pretty good I had thai wings they were nice. The brased salmon medium rare was outstanding. A good place for wine and good conversation.
