We had not been here in years but will definitely be back. Inside is like a house but with the walls still just framing studs with no drywall, so it's compartmentalized but you can still see other areas around you. Food is a cut above most places like this, with tasty, well seasoned burgers and some delicious sides (spicy Mac and cheese is a standout, and I really liked the coleslaw - very well balanced). Irish fries are fun too though very big! Lots of beer selections with multiple options for any taste. Service is good too. Most fun part is the pictures of dogs they have up on the "walls" -- very cute.

We met some friends here for lunch recently and were impressed by both the food and the service. My salad was huge. My husband ordered a burger but had to nip out quickly to pick someone else up. At first they put his burger under a warmer, but once they realized he was held up in traffic, they offered to make a fresh one as soon as he got back at no extra charge. Fun atmosphere. If we lived nearby, we'd definitely go back.

We were looking for a spot to eat after landing at LAX and on our way to Sequoia National Park. Stopped into the Blue Dog Beer Tavern and loved the photos of dogs all over the walls...the food was great also! Burgers/fries/nachos/wings....Delish!

If you are looking for a quiet place this is not it. If you are looking for a place with lots of energy, lots of fun beer choices I don't drink Beer - but my cider was yummy!), a creative slection of hamburgers and yummy garlic fries - this is your place! Plus there is a fine slection of dog pictures - nice touch for doglovers.

Went for happy hour. Nice menu prices are reasonable Wasn’t too busy on a Sunday found a seat on the patio and really enjoyed the dog friendly atmosphere. The problem was mainly with the quality of the food. While the beer choices were plentiful the food and service needs help. Ordered the Hamburger on the menu. Came with cheese and no where on the menu said cheese. Sent it back. Next burger (ordered medium) was rare. Barely cooked. Hardly ate it. Gross. Another in party had the club. Came dry supposed to have aioli. So I asked for thousand island. Nope. Ok asked for spicy mustard. Nope. Settled for ranch. Was supposed to be on toast, bread was neither grilled nor toasted. Came with fries. Love the skin on idea but way over salted and soggy, needed more frying time Finally place was sort of slow. I’m cool with that except why was the service so slow? Seriously this place has potential I hope it was just an off day. Too many negatives to go back anytime soon except maybe for a happy hour beer and even that I’ll think twice.

Right off the HWY easy to find. Parking might be a challenge. Good food decent service. I would go there again. I thought it fairly priced.

Right off I-405 for North and South travelers. They are very dog friendly, the food is great, and the beer selection is even better. We have 3 dogs, two 20-pounders and a mixed German Shepard. All three fit even though the patio is pretty small.

I cannot begin to tell you how awesome this place is!!!! It was my first time here, it was a Sunday and the patio was open (yay!) and hands down - uber dog friendly- you had us at DOG friendly! We just moved back to LA from the East Coast and it's so refreshing to be welcomed as a pet owner. Not only was our dog was welcome, but the minute I walked inside, someone immediately greeted us- and asked where we were sitting. Woah. I love that- you feel special...if you want to feel if your patronage matters- THIS is that place. Turned out it was Paul the owner. We ordered the Cuban sandwich and hubby and I split it plus the garlic fries. Super garlicky fries (so good) and we asked for a couple of other dipping sauces. Brian suggested and we go for Ranch and the Jalapeño cheddar. As for beers- hands down order the ALLAGASH Curieux when it's available. End of the day, This was a PAWsome first experience here. Nar and Brian also added to this experience. Thank you!

This place is great! Small inside and unfinished but I think thats the style. People hang pictures of their dogs up in the building and dogs can eat with their owners outside. Try the Grande Chi Chi burger! 2 burger patties, 2 sunny side up eggs, hashbrowns and bacon! It is so good! They also have a lot of micorbrews on tap! You could spend all day trying beers.

Really cool dive bar. From the tons of craft beer to the great menu. Very small place so there may be a wait. The Irish fried were really good. I had a regular cheese burger and it was really good. We also had the Cuban sandwich and club. Food was great and they suggested beers and they were very good too. I highly recommend this place.

definitely a local watering hole with a great feel... former dental office turned cool sport/beer hand-gout in a residential south of the boulevard strip mall with ample late night parking... the walls ended up hollow accidentally and unify the whole place with the see through effect so you can admire other patrons and dog portraits throughout. The vegetarian chili is outstanding and the staff seems unchanged since shortly after opening... when the weather is comfortable, the outdoor seating is lovely and great for large groups

This place is small but rocks. The food is to die for. I had a blue dog burger with chill cheese fries, it was amazing. Beers are great too and service is quick and friendly. I'll be back here for sure. Ps if you are a dog lover you will adore this place, pictures of dogs everywhere and I mean everywhere.

My wife and I stumbled in on St Patty's day for lunch, and were in the beginning stages of the beer lover's holy day at Blue Dog. The space looked like they were building a house and got confused, stopping with the studs in place but the walls never got there. Turns out to be a good idea, because they can put the condiments on the horizontal studs and save lots of room for tables! My wife, who can order a salad anywhere, ordered a salad!! and pronounced it quite good. I, of course, ordered the hamburger (at a bar that serves hamburgers, I thought it would be a good bet) with the ultra garlic fries and had a fine time enjoying my choice. The garlic fries provided pleasure for hours after lunch was over, and the burger was certainly worth the price in money and in calories! Combined with two beers to salute the occasion, it was altogether a fine time.

As much as I like their burgers i was excited when I heard that they had ribs for lunch on Wednesdays, so I gave it a try. I got there at 12 and I was told that there had been a problem and that they wouldn't be ready for a couple hours, so I had one of their great burgers and left. The next Wednesday i went back and this time they were ready. BIG MISTAKE! They were absolutely awful! Nearly all fat and so tough I could barely cut through them, much less try to eat them. When I complained to the waiter he just shrugged.

Staff wasn't overly friendly but they were efficient. Food was good. My burger wasn't medium rare as I ordered but with all the toppings it was still flavorful. Sat on the patio that has heaters. Loved the beer selection and dog photos inside. Overall it had a great vibe with a good selection of burgers and beers.

Burgers, salads, all types of beer, fresh cut fries and inside and outside seating--with parking! Buns are fresh daily! Servers are friendly, genuine and know their stuff. Happy hour daily from 3pm. Best burger I've had in the Valley. Am heading back this week.

So I normally don't eat burgers and when I do I never eat the buns - but this burger - the most delicious. really tasty! great service and the restaurant walls are covered with photos of customers dogs. what's not to love

This is one of my favorite stops for a good burger and a pint of beer. The Chi Chi burger on their menu is my favorite as it's essentially breakfast on a burger. It has a fried egg, bacon, hash brown on a maple glazed bun.

I'm not a fan of posting harsh critiques after only visit, but after seeing my qualms corroborated by other recent reviews online, I felt this one necessary. To start, it's a cool place when you walk in. Great location, right off the interstate and close to the movie theatre. And the atmosphere is great too- felt like I was back in the midwest at a cabin- very Wisconsin-like feel. Was a little surreal to see the TV's playing a Dodger game while sitting in a wooden cabin-like house. And all the walls are covered with photos of dogs. It's definitely one of those places that you walk in and realize why it has the Certificate of Excellence....if it wasn't for the food. Things went downhill once we ordered. The food was bad and generic. I ordered one of their signature burgers. It came burnt, and the patty- the way it was shaped and cooked- you could tell it was a cheap frozen one. I've had better burgers at fast food restaurants. The coleslaw also was very generic. I'm pretty sure it was supposed to be homemade but it tasted store bought. The fries also were the definition of average. The waitress was MIA after bringing our food. But she was chatting up the party next to us. I think once she realized my friend and I weren't there to drink and drop lots of money, she lost interest because she was not nice at all to us, but was to the others around us. Took forever to get our check and card back, even though we were there at an off time and it wasn't that busy. It's too bad because I've heard some great things about this place, but it's not worth the prices for the bad food and service.

Disappointed by the treatment I received. I’ve been to this establishment several times and usually enjoy the food. But yesterday, I stopped in to use the restroom before placing a to-go order, and was told by a waitress that “customers were complaining” about me. Odd, considering there were no other customers present at the time. It felt like an excuse, and frankly, I was made to feel unwelcome for no clear reason. I believe in supporting local businesses, but respect goes both ways. If staff are going to push away regulars based on vague accusations or personal bias, I’ll take my business elsewhere. There are plenty of places in LA that value their customers—this just isn’t one of them anymore.

I LOVE this place. I don't get over there very often, since it's right in the midst of some nasty traffic (SW on Ventura Blvd. at the 405). Once you are there, though, you won't want to leave. Really awesome selection of drafts, bottles, micro-brews, local favorites and drinks from all over the world along with KILLER food. The burgers are the size of your face and if you don't try the chili-cheese fries (made with fresh chili and fresh french fries), then don't come crying to me later! As a dog lover, the hundreds, if not thousands of framed dog photos on the wall give this place really warm and fuzzy charm that you will be hard pressed to find anywhere else in the LA area. This is an absolute favorite spot for me and my friends to meet up for a happy hour.

What do I love about this place? The food is great but the plus for me is... Its got pictures of dogs EVERYWHERE! While you are waiting for your food to appear (not very long at that) you can gaze at the portraits of pooches on the walls or the taps hanging from the ceiling. The food - salads, delicious burgers, sandwiches and...BEER are really good. The ambiance is fun, though I choose to sit away from the TV since I'm neither a sports fan (it ain't my thing) nor a drinker (for health reasons) Nevertheless I am awed by their selection of Beers - plus they have specials weekly I hear. AS to food and drink for us? I opted for a delicious no-alcohol GINGER BEER which was perfect for my tasty DICKENS (Rootbeer BBQsauce, cheese, onion rings, pickles-I added lettuce & tomato.) My friend chose the BLUE DOG (add bacon to the Dickens and you pretty much have that) and a Beer (I don't know the name, but he liked it). I have yet to try their chilis - vegan or meat, but those around me looked deeply entranced. And had I room for dessert I would've gotten the ice-cream sandwich. By the way. This is not a quiet place, so if you want an intimate conversation, do this before or after your meal...in your car or even on the street! Service was friendly and quicker than one would've expected - we were there on a Saturday night.

This is a really cosy place, set out a bit like a wooden shack, and covered with lots of photo portraits of dogs and fairy lights. Great revolving selection of craft beers (local and imported) and great bar foods, including excellent burgers. They also have multiple screens showing various US sports games, but it's not a traditional 'sports bar' in its decor or feel.

Friendly staff, excellent service. As busy as they were on St. Patty's day, wait was minimal for a table. Burgers are an excellent value and very good. Great place!!!

Dogs are welcome on the patio so we stopped in for a beer. What was supposed to be a half hour event turned into 3 hours of eating and a few beers. Friendly servers and guests make for a fun evening. While the chicken burger wasn't the best in the world it was tasty. I always love the fries and they have a varied beer selection. My dog thinks Blue Dog is Disneyland with all the attention and love he gets.

This is an extremely popular pub in Sherman Oaks. It is for people between the ages of 20-40. The background "music" sounded like a jackhammer. I am not exaggerating. I ordered a beer which cost $11.00. That would have been fine, but the beer was only about 8 ounces in size, served in what looked to me like a wine glass. I had read that the hamburgers were wonderful. Both my husband and I concluded that they were quite dry. I brought most of mine home and fed it to my grateful dogs. I asked for my Cesar salad to be lightly dressed. It was served to me absolutely soaking in salad dressing. The French fries were so well-done that they were a deep brown in color and barely edible. I like my French fries well-done, but these were more-or-less cremated. Our waitress was attentive. The people were friendly. I like the fact that they took an old homes, ripped out the walls and left the bare wood. That created a lovely environment. There had many TV screens with sports channels. There was no way one could hear the televisions. The jackhammer music made it impossible to hear anything at all. Perhaps they play that music so people will not linger at the tables. While they have nice outdoor eating areas, that music is also played outside. This was one of the only times when I was grateful to be leaving a restaurant. Needless to say we will never return.

I recommended this restaurant while they were on vacation based on the reviews. They loved the burgers. It is a little small though but a very cool atmosphere. Old fashioned tavern with some kind of sports on the tv.

The service was excellent, fast, attentive and they took time to explain their drink selections. The food was excellent. It is a great place for a small group gathering.

I was looking forward to eating here since I'd always heard it was a good neighborhood brew pub. The decor is nice with lots of wood and framed pictures of dogs. If you love dogs...you'll love all of the photos. The place was completely understaffed ...not enough servers or cooks. We arrived about 7:50pm on Saturday night and even though we saw several open tables we had to wait a bit to have a server tell us to sit. It then took 10 minutes for someone to take our drink order and our food order. 35 minutes later I flagged someone down and asked about our burgers. No one had stopped by to see how we were doing. We were then told that they'd put a rush on our order and it would come out in another 5-10 minutes. At that point a man came by and said he was one of the owners and said he'd make sure we'd get our food soon. (After hearing us, the people at the table next to us told us that they too had been waiting a very long time for their foodl) It's crazy to have to wait 45 minutes for a couple of burgers to be cooked. I ordered their Blue Dog burger. This combo includes Swiss cheese, mushrooms, Caramelized onions and bacon. The mushrooms were raw and cold...not cooked. The bacon was virtually uncooked. Bottom line...the burger was very disappointing and did not meet my expectations. At that point, I wanted to eat...so I picked away at the best parts of the burger...which was the actual meat. The fries were delicious and salty. The place does have lots of different beers to choose from and tons of TV screens for watching sports. There is a small parking lot next to the restaurant or you can look for parking in the nearby residential neighborhood or street metered parking. I probably will not eat here again.

We stopped in for lunch on Saturday. The food was very good and the environment was great with the college football games on multiple TVs. I have an excellent selection of beer and ranging from local craft brews to imported German brews. They had a special Oktoberfest menu that day and with a pretty good bratwurst hamburger.

Well if you love baby back ribs, then the Blue Dog is the place you have to be on Wednesdays, every Wed for that matter for it's a weekly treat you all deserve. This is a home style local bar / pub burgar and good eats joint in Sherman Oaks that just rocks. But on Wed. look out for the ribs are cooked up slow all day and seasoned like, I can't tell ya, but with everything God made good for ribs. If you see a tall guy, mid length dark hair who's name is Paul, he owns the place and is hands on and will tell ya all the seasons those ribs are cooked in and how. He takes a hands on approach and it shows. Great craft beers on tap and happy hour is well worth a trip to this little gem. Trust me, rib / date night Wed is the call

Good place if your goal is to drink different types of beer. Food had a twist...lots of unusual pairings. Friendly staff; relaxing atmosphere.

What are you willing to pay for a delicious burger and a different beer for everyday of the month? Been to the Blue Dog twice now, and both times the food was great and so was the service. Burgers are good size and juicy - but it will cost you $10-15. The fries are crispy, and the food comes quickly - but they're a little stingy with the catsup...why? I like a little french fry with my catsup - but they just give you a tiny cup. Just give me the bottle and be done with it, sheesh. Anyway, this is more of a bar that wants to be restaurant. Tables are tight together, its noisy, the tables are small...just a neighborhood joint...with a lot of beers to choose from - did I mention that? There is a nice place to sit outside and eat/drink/people watch, but this also where the smokers go. Got a dog? Bring his/her picture in, put it on the wall...and buy your dog a beer for heaven's sake!! One final point - if you try to find this on Trip Advisor's interactive map...it shows up in the middle of LAX. This place is in Sherman Oaks. If you scroll the map over to Sherman Oaks, you won't find the place listed. No wonder it's rank is so low - no one can find it!!

(Sherman oaks)Positives - ambience was great. Nice outdoor patio ! Love the pictures of custumer's dogs on the walls. Salads are ok. Beer selection is ok but nothing u can't get anywhere else. (Sherman oaks) Negatives- burgers are really not that good at all. U can get a burger better than this in almost every location in this city.the chicken wings are terrible! The taste was seriously bad. But maybe that's a matter of opinion which is why u are reading mine at this moment. The truth is that they gave me undercooked chicken wings! They comped my meal because of that but I won't forgive them for it especially since their food is whatever! If u go , go because u want to relax and have some laughs or a beer with some friends. If u are going for the food, well, go somewhere else!

Was recommended by my uber driver and decided to check it out. Great vibe, really good food. The bleu cheese dressing is to die for! Good beer selection and I will be back every time I'm in the area. Service couldn't have been any better from the manager to the servers. All did a great job.

Wanting to celebrate a special occasion with my two best friends, we agreed to give Blue Dog Beer Tavern a shot. Later that evening as I pulled into the (convenient, albeit limited) parking lot, I became intrigued by the many colorful lighting fixtures located both in and around the bar. The festive decor only intensified as I stepped inside. I was shown to a table almost instantly and shortly thereafter was joined by my friends. We soon noticed that not only Christmas lights lined the ceiling but also assorted beer tap handles creating a fun and imaginative atmosphere. Their drink menu features a who’s who of craft beers. Preferring darker brews to light, I decided to try a Dragon’s Milk bourbon barrel-aged stout. For my entree I chose to order The Sherman (which is typically prepared as a salad), but as a wrap; utterly delicious. Our server was both friendly and knowledgeable, helping us decide what to order. Thoroughly impressed with the local pub’s affordable prices, vibrant ambience and delicious drinks, the three of us are very much looking forward to coming back. I would highly recommend Blue Dog to both beer lovers and friends looking for a casual night out. (Please keep in mind that Blue Dog is almost exclusively an ale-house and does not serve liquor.)

This little Tavern has a gallery of dog photos decorating their warm wood paneled walls and beams, Wonderful fresh burgers, very Tasty fries, and a very Large beer menu! They have a good variety of seasonal brews on draft, that are always fresh. Otherwise, you are bound to find a good bottle from the brew list. The staff is knowledgable, friendly and quick with your orders. We have been back to this tavern many, many times and are never disappointed!! We are so Happy they are a local place!!!

I've been a Blue Dog regular for a couple of years and love it. The burgers are always great and cooked to near perfection, although slightly overcooked each time I order. As someone who likes it the rarer the better, I understand a restaurant's apprehension to go too rare, for health and liability concerns. I always order the Summit Burger with a side of mac and cheese. The bacon is always crisp and avocados and cheddar fresh. The mac and cheese is great and the perfect amount of jalapeños are added during cooking. Service at Blue Dog is great! Many of the staff are actors working on the side so you can imagine an attractive, chatty, outgoing group of servers. Paul is the owner and usually there doing a very good job of keeping the ship running smoothly. One of the attractions is the extensive beer menu. Probably 30-40 on fairly regular rotation. Also a few decent wines. Just about anything your palate could imagine to accompany the extensive burger and sandwich menu. The restaurant is dog friendly on the patio so it's always nice to see a few well-behaved pups sitting under their master's tables. The one drawback is that the Blue Dog is small and can ofter get crowded so space to stand or sit is very limited while you await a table. They will, however serve you a beer while you wait. Overall, Blue Dog is a great burger and beer joint that I highly recommend for an easy lunch or dinner with a few friends over a few good craft beers.

Consider their happy hour, M-F, 3-6, if you are a beer person. Very good prices+very good choices. The real bonus at the Blue Dog are the wonderful burgers, fairly priced, with interesting names like Son of Batman!, El Scorpion, Good Karma to name a few. I wasn't thrilled with the fries. I prefer a thicker, crispier fry. The servers are helpful, friendly and attentive.

This was a wonderful surprise, nestled near the 405 freeway and Ventura Boulevard, not that far from the Best Western Carriage Inn where we were staying. It's a funky, friendly, beer and burgers place made outstanding by its big menu that includes healthy and Mexican-themed fusion dishes and a massive selection of boutique beers. It is festooned with photos of patron's dogs, which gives it a unique and cheerful character.

I love dogs so it's cool to find a place decorated head to toe in them, but also the food, beer and patio are excellent. My office is in Sherman Oaks so I'm not sure I would travel out of my way to eat here but I definitely make a point to go regularly. I particularly recommend the spicy burger and the salad with fried chicken on top.

We went to this cafe for a burger and beer after seeing a movie at the nearby ArcLight in Sherman Oaks. We got a table right away which we were glad for and the waitress was friendly. The restaurant has so many beers to choose from. We always try to get one on tap and they had approximately 8. Beers were pretty pricey ($12,00 for 16 oz and another was $9.00 for 8 oz.). We ordered burgers and had to wait almost a half hour for our meal. The waitress did come over to apologize and said the kitchen was slammed, although, truth be told, it was not that busy. So here also lies the problem. They advertise 1/3 lb burgers but mine seemed so much smaller. We ordered medium but in truth they were medium well done, no pink inside and the were very dry. The fries were excellent and very nicely done. Not sure if we will go here again, there are better burger places around.

As East Coasters on vacation in CA it was a bit of a shock to watch an NFL game at 10:00 AM but we learned in a hurry that breakfast food with mimosas goes well with football too. We were lucky to find the Blue Dog because not all bars are open early on Sunday. This place is fun, the staff is friendly and helpful, the prices are reasonable and the food is good - everything you want in a sports bar.

I have been to the Blue Dog Beer Tavern several times and each time the burgers are the best. The Fire Starter Burger is the best.

It's small, crowded and parking can be difficult, but the burgers are great. The special on Wednesdays is short ribs (the big juicy meaty kind) and on Thursdays they serve beef tacos. (3 of the big ones, stuffed with meat) and both specials include either fries or a salad. They also carry a large selection of beer.

Great ambiance. Good service. Plenty of TV screens. Lovely Blue Dog burger, but the fries were way too salty... Really, way too much. Attaching photo of some of the beers in the menu.

One of my favourite drinking spots in LA - mainly for the selection of beers, but also for the relaxed outdoor seating and the food. Loved the black & blue burger and the icecream sandwich dessert. It's pretty small, but each time we went there, we found parking in the tiny carpark, and found a table outside.

There's good news and there's bad news: The bad news: Crappy parking, ONLY micro-brew beer, the mac and cheese side offered with your burger is 1.50 in addition to the burger cost (about 10.00) . The GOOD news: Excellent burgers, flavorful garlic fries, great energy. My husband does not like micro-brews, so that was a drag - it was made up with flavorful and pungent garlic fries which I highly recommend. I had the Blue Dog Burger which was huge and fresh (bacon, grilled onions, mushrooms, cheese) which comes with a BBQ sauce - I didn't finish. Although the mac and cheese is offered as a side, it is an additional charge. The consistency not great, but good and spicy!!! My husband had the cheeseburger which was more than adequate. We will try the cole slaw next time. The wait staff was good and ambiance comfortable. I would go again.

Okay, I know it is LA, but someone has got to solve the parking problem at these restaurants. I will admit this one has better parking than most, but it fills up quickly. This is a quaint little bar/restaurant with a variety of burgers, to include a vegan option for my daughter. They offer a variety of beers on tap, which rotate regularly. I tried several and really enjoyed them. Try the Buffalo Chicken Mac as a starter, but share it with someone otherwise you will be full. The squealer burger and Dickens burger were excellent. My wife love her ahi tuna burger.

I recently went with my bf for a burger and beer. I ended up ordering non alcoholic ginger beer which was ammmmmaaaaaazing. Can't remember the name but they only have one, so ask for it. It's not too dry and not too sweet, just perfect. My bf had few German beers and he said were perfect. We ordered the Hum Must appetizer, which was very fresh and good. My bf got the pulled pork which he thought was good but not as good as the one he had in Maui (of course, right?!). I went for the Blue Dog Burger veggie style, so with veggie patty and no beef or bacon. I loved it. The patty was crisp and had great flavor. both came with fries, which we didn't like at all. They were very soggy. We ended our meal with ice cream sandwich. Let me tell you, that thing is HUGE, it's better to share with 4 people. My bf and I just couldn't finish it. It was really good though, freshly baked chocolate chip cookies with yummy vanilla ice cream. Overall it was a good place and I would go there again for a healthier option like the vegan salad (it looks really good). By the way, the area is cute and somewhat quiet (across from gas station and Whole Foods).

Actually, I would give the Blue Dog Beer Tavern a 3-1/2 rating if possible. It wasn't bad and it was fun. I love craft beer and the selection was good even if it was short. It may not satisfy everyone, I love IPA's. The burger was good, especially after returning the first one because it arrived well done instead if medium rare. It was a bit pricey, especially since the garlic fries were not included. The waitress didn't tell us that when ordering. Upon leaving, one friend commented "I'll never come back here again". Each to their own.

If you consider yourself a semi-professional taster of Beer this is a not to be missed place. The beer list is 2 pages long. I was there on a Sunday afternoon during NFL season. Inside was crowded and loud. The porch was quiet and delightful.

I love taking my dog to the location in Sherman Oaks. We sit outside, enjoy great food, and people watch with the locals. Great food and great selection of beers!

This is a great little 'dive' bar...lots of good items to choose from...lots of beer if that is your thing...lots of good eats, too. I had the nachos and they were really good. Friends had burgers that they loved. All large portions. The best thing was the dessert...this ridiculous ice cream cookie that is as big as your face! Three of us worked on it and there was still some left! Servers were attentive and all as cute as buttons without being trashy like at some other dives. Check it out!

This continues to be one of my favorite places to go for brew! Consistently fresh brew on tap, tasty menu of burgers, salads, sandwiches, etc., The staff is attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is casual, enjoyable photos of dogs all around the interior, with a warm glow of wood and twinkly lights. It is what I enjoy, home away from home.

The food and beer selection is great here! I had their blue cheese burger which was to die for! It was simple and yet so good. The burger was cooked perfectly. Their garlic fries are really good but it can get a bit overwhelmingly after awhile. It's good to share with a group of friends though, just not all to yourself. All in all, I would def be back here. Their outdoor patio is dog friendly!

I came here about seven years ago while on business and it's great to see it's only gotten better. Awesome beers and food made in view of the bar make it oh so cool. You can walk from local hotels or the Sherman Oaks galleria and chill out a bit inside or outside, bring the dog.

Went here looking for lunch after visiting the Nike missle site on the mountain. It was a nice suprise, not cheap but then again it isn't a fastfood place either. Beer was very good and the service was good as well. Servers were all young girls that looked very nice and were pleasant with nice smiles.

My friend heard a lot about this place and wanted to stop for some drinks (I was visiting from out of town). We sat outside where they conveniently had heat lamps. It was nice out but chilly enough to need them which made for a comfortable setting. The waitress was great and gave us excellent advice on what drinks to try and was very attentive. I will definitely be back on my next visit.

Great food fresh ingredients building looks like a repurposed house very well suited friendly service

we decided to head here for drinks after work. Blue Dog Beer Tavern is the perfect spot after work to gather with friends or co-workers for a beer. the place is small. we had to wait a while to grab a table. once seated the ambiance/ decor was very inviting. There was a lot of great selections on Tap. One of our party was impressed they had Rasputin On Tap. Tacos and wings were fine. Parking is a challenge for that area but there are lots available across the street and at the Galleria

This place is a little hard to find but a lot of people have managed to discover it anyway, be prepared to wait for a table because it isn't very large. Comfort food appetizers, big burgers and sandwiches, lots of great beer and a few varieties of wine. This I the kind of place that really needs to expand but they'd lose all of the ambience and charm if they ever did. Prices were a little steep, but not out of line for large quantities of quality food. Besides, they still pack 'em in here so you know they're doing something right. A must-try, especially for dog lovers.

I have only been for lunch many times and get food to bring back to my office across the street. Love the pulled pork, have tried almost all the salads, great ribs and what an awesome beer selection. The only problem is trying to find a parking spot.

This place is a gem. The food is great and the servers are friendly and attentive. I like to stop in whenever I'm in the area and Blue Dog never disappoints.
LOVE IT
The location of the place sucks..it's a weird intersection/road..BE CAREFUL not to get into an accident while trying to enter the small parking lot. Once, you've conquered the parking mayhem...the inside of the place is really small so if you have a big party, you might be a little crampped. The food here is the best!!! Their burgers are made with all kinds of goodness with whatever your stomach is craving.
