4 of us celebrated my birthday. 4 outstanding meals, were only exceeded by, rock star, service provided by server Nicole. A truly exceptional experience.

We went to Blue Ridge with a group of adults and teens and they all enjoyed their meals. The steak was delicious. Our service was excellent.

I love this place! Lobster BLT is divine! It's also fun to have a cocktail on the porch! Always delicious!!

OK food but service very slow. Wine menu weak. Very noisy. Seemed busy in spite of questionable value.

The place has very nice decor I sat in the bunny room, it’s a large dining room with a picture of a bunny in a suit. Everyone was super friendly and made you feel like you’ve been there before. I like personal service and that was big for me considering I’m from out of town and I felt like I belonged. The food was very good even though they didn’t have a surf and turf on the menu they made me one which goes back to the personal service. Our waitress was excellent. I wish I knew her name I would mention her because she is on top of things. Overall it’s a nice date / business restaurant. I recommend Blue Ridge Grill.

I've eaten here a few times and have never been disappointed. This is a top notch restaurant to take out of town friends and it is just really good food. The fresh water trout is the best I've eaten. The restaurant is lovely and the service is friendly and efficient.

Some colleagues took me to lunch for the holidays, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was splendid, and the food very tasty. I Can't wait to go back. The Mac and Cheese is out of this world!

Good food and good atmosphere. Service was also excellent. Good choice for a business dinner even if a little pricey.

Cool place to grab a drink after work (especially on Fridays) or even to sit at the bar for dinner. Good location and cool decor make for a comfortable and easy visit. But also an excellent full-service dinning room and menu.

Enjoyed sitting at the bar after work with my husband--great cocktails and wine selection. Shared 3 appetizers with delicious warm baked bread! Looking forward to return trip!

BRG is a high end restaurant and it does not disappoint. From the complementary bread, alcoholic beverages, entrees, and desserts, the food was top notch. The service was quick and responsive. The best part was the ability to pay for the meal using the OpenTable app!

Wonderful food, attentive service, excellent bar and wine list. Our table had beef, fish, and poultry. All were done well.

This was my 3rd visit and it was just OK. My Salmon was boring and dry and I always order it medium well and this was too dry. No sauce was provided? My wife had Salmon Capacho and she said it was way too salty. May Be just an off night?

Warm and southern style setting. Cozy decor and staff was excellent. Must have the corn soufflé. Could be a desser so good. The Oreo ice cream pie was so delicious. We will be sure to return next visit to Atlanta. Good location off interstate and west paces ferry road.

The staff was great, Dean took good care of us. My order wasn't served complete but Dean quickly made that right. My wife and I came here on our anniversary several years ago (30th) and were delightfully pleased. The memory was so good it brought us back this year (37th). This year I ordered the special, red fish over couscous with pineapple, zucchini and yellow squash. If you like the taste of air with a sprinkle of pineapple, you'll like this dish. I personally like to taste my food, but this was as bland as a rubberband. My wife ordered the burger, and after tasting hers I wish I had too. I don't spend a lot of money on meals very often, but when I do, I want to remember why I did and recommend the place to others. This time I was so disappointed that there are no good memories except my delightful date and I won't be back. Dean also gave us a nice piece of icecream pie for desert.

Awesome , just awesome and service was great, I will be back, we celebrate our wedding anniversary 43 years, thank you all for your professional service, from the beginning to the end.

My husband and I have driven past Blue Ridge Grill so many times we cannot even count. Why have we not stopped there to eat? Why have we not chosen this restaurant when we search for places to dine in the West Paces Ferry area? We always like to try new restaurants but still have never tried BRG ... even after it’s 20 year existence. No answer to the above questions, but after reviewing the menu online and appreciating the fact that they take reservations, we decided to give it a try last night when taking my 93 year old MIL out to dinner who lives in the area. Our first positive impression was driving up to the valet ... not one, but two gentlemen helped us out of our car...very pleasant surprise. Our next positive impression was our walk into the restaurant and the delicious aroma of the hickory chipped grill being excitingly intoxicating. The next positive impression was the ambiance, both at the bar and the restaurant, (the lighting, design, decor, noise level) which was all very calming, inviting, and very impressive when we walked in for our reservation at 7:30 on a Friday night. The restaurant was quite full with patrons of all ages, which was also nice to see. The personalities of everyone we came in contact with was very engaging, from the hostess, to our waiter, to those that brought our meals and cleared the table. etc. Their service was very attentive, our meals came out sooner than anticipated, cooked to our desired levels and everything was delicious. Even my MIL, who usually picks around everything in her plate, ate almost her entire meal (trout and baked potato) continually saying how delicious her dinner was. The menu has so many choices so don’t let the online menu hold you back if you don’t see something you might want. There were menu choices at the restaurant that aren’t online. We definitely will be back and perhaps try sitting at the bar for a bit and enjoy the porch. One suggestion, though ... bring a sweater/wrap because our booth tended to get chilly off and on during our dining experience. With an extensive wine list, cocktails, fabulous desserts, private dining area, fabulous menu options, why didn’t we try BRG before?

Our party of eight celebrated a milestone birthday yesterday and we couldn't have imagined a better experience. No one does birthdays as well as the Blue Ridge Grill but you don't need an excuse to dine there for any reason. The place was all decked out for the holidays which gave it an extra warm ambiance. Our server, Rollie, met our every need with professional courtesy. And the food was terrific as usual. We all tried different menu items and were very pleased with everything. Some of our party had not been there before, but will now be regulars. No wonder it's such a popular restaurant! Can't wait to return.

We ate twice at the Blue Ridge Grill while in Atlanta for the week seeing family. My wife had Scallops and Lamb chops. Both were absolutely wonderful. I had a Ribeye. Also great. All items were cooked to perfection. Our waiter Jesse was great. Attentive and polite. Just a great experience.

The food and service are top notch. Bar service can be a little slow but the quality of the drinks will make up for it. The menu seemed a little weighted toward seafood, but the trout and swordfish were both excellent. The short ribs were also a hit.

I went for a business lunch and was not disappointed. It was my anniversary at the company so it was special and they waiter made it so with a special dessert. The food was exceptional and large portions. The lobster blt was amazing. So glad I picked this place.

This is a high class place that can serve as a business or a romantic dinner destination. Fresh ingredients and inventive dishes. The place generally leans towards heavier dishes, but the often manage to 'lighten' them up. One of the mains we had was butternut gratin - exquisite...and a very rare dish. we also had trout which was perfect. Would definitely revisit. Park across the street at the shopping center - most likely valet will park there anyway

We went to Blue Ridge Grill with two friends. We had been there before but not in many years. The meal was quite good and the service was as well. Our friend became ill but not from what he ate he has fainted before in other circumstances. The restaurant personnel were extremely helpful and he recovered quickly. I can't say enough about the restaurant and hope to return soon. Do not forget to order the fried pickles if you go they are not on the menu.

It is rare for me to visit a restaurant and immediately enjoy and appreciate the music, atmosphere and the greeting from the staff. Great place for a business lunch.

This place has been around, but it always deliver great service and a nice meal. Classics like shrimp and grits, some huge appetizers like gnocchi, all good. Only down side during this most recent visit was the AC just wasn't staying ahead of our oppressive heat!

Celebrating a birthday with friends and family . . . the BRG was the prefect place to do it . . . great atmosphere; outstanding service; to die for food . . . all at a reasonable price.

I am very disappointed in the current version of this restaurant. I was introduced to BRG in the late 90s and for years it was one of my favorite dining places. Their meals used to be good old southern food (pork chops, the best meatloaf i have ever had, etc.). The last time a went it was for lunch and i got a hamburger. It was no better or bigger than something you would get at McDonalds but it cost almost $20. That was the 3rd time i've been there in the last few years and each of the last 3 times has been below average.

Not sure how this place is rated #109 in Atlanta. Met out of town friends for dinner on a Friday night. I have been here several times over the years for lunch and dinner. Always good - but this time - we all agreed that the only way to describe would be GREAT. Everything - from the great service, to the superb food - the entire experience was awesome - and for the $$$ - a great dining experience. They seem to have really upper their game - hats off to the chef and the wait staff. We will be back again soon!

Even though Blue Ridge Grill is in my neighborhood my experience in the past hasn't been stellar. Last week we had dinner there with friends and it was outstanding. The service was good and the pace excellent.

The service was impeccable and the food was delicious! We enjoyed the drinks, appetizers, our entrees, and dessert. Love the well-timed arrival of the dishes so everyone receives their selection at the exact same moment.

This was a business meeting. The atmosphere very upscale, but rustic and comfortable. Service excellent! Nice wine list and great bread (warm and crusty). The menus had great salad and main entree items. We all had three different fish entrees and all were excellent. Beet and chopped salads were superb. The molten cake worth the 12 minute wait. Recommend for business and pleasure dining. So go and enjoy!!!

Sea Bass was delicious and comes with a veggie. We also had the lemon chicken and trout. Everyone liked their entrees. GF menu was welcoming. Dates wrapped in bacon and arancini were both excellent. Service by Kyle was perfect. Very enjoyable evening and we will be back!

A bit pricey, but with great food and wonderful service. Our party of 4, had about a 60 mins wait, ( it was an unplanned visit, and a reservation would be advised), the time passed quickly as we had fun talking to the other patrons. The place is popular, well visited and with a cool crowd. We were seated in the private dining room, and we went for the seafood. I ordered the grilled Georgia Trout with arugula, dill and lemon butter which was fantastic, and my sister and mom went for the salmon, which they enjoyed. I will upload pics at a later date. So that's my fish story and I am sticking to it.

Made reservations online. Easy to do and table was ready when we arrived. Service was good. Wine recommendation was perfect. Only suggestion I made to server was not to bring 4 bottles of individual Pellegrino to put on table. Just keep our glasses full. Dinner was fantastic.

BEST Birthday or special event resteraunt Just made a incidental comment at time of reservation that the four of us were celebrating my wiife’s birthday and we were made welcome from the moment we walked in the door. Just saying that they made the event special throughout our stay and I would come back again whether it was a birthday or not. PS Best trout dish I have had in years.

Met friends & sat at bar. I had BR-Old Fashioned & lobster club sandwich w/ fries. VERY good. But be aware, this is upscale food & prices to match. Friends had arrived earlier & had appetizers & a drink already, & then had another drink. On checkout, we all threw in our credit cards & bartender just divided by three. Yes, I’m cheap, but ended up paying about $12 of the others’ tabs, so be specific. Also, they make it look like you must valet park, but apparently you can go past to self park. Next time I will.

BRG is, hands down, my favorite restaurant in Atlanta. It's unpretentious & consistently delivers great food to the table. The Mountain Trout is my favorite thing to order but the last visit we had a table of 10 people; everyone ordered different meals & there wasn't a bad review from anyone. If you tell them you're celebrating a special occasion they will make sure you're given the royal treatment.

The restaurant is very nice. The staff is very professional and courteous. My wife had the trout which she like very much. However I had the shrimp and grits which were about the worst I have ever had anywhere. The grits were very bland. They kind of tasted like if I had made my own grits at home and just threw 4 shrimp on top. For $30 I was very disappointed. Also the baked bread tasted like the baker forgot to add the salt salt to the dough and we actually had to salt the bread.

I’ve been hearing about BRG since moving to ATL 8 years ago and finally decided to take a business dinner there. I’ve been busy trying much more “foodie” type places, but I really liked my choice with a more traditional upscale restaurant that still has a few edgy things on the menu. I had the short rib, and it was awesome! I’d definitely go back.

We’ve been to their other restaurant the OK Café, but this is much higher end. When here for my wife’s birthday and had a delicious meal. Service was excellent and they even comped one dessert. Will definitely come back again.

Really exceptional french fries at Blue ridge grill. They must be twice fried, very crispy. The wagyu beef burger is also excellent, and the service is exceptional. Always consistently delicious food and service.

As is usual in my many visits, the welcome and service were impeccable, the setting, ambience and physical design and execution as close to perfect as makes no difference, and the New Southern cuisine 90 percent right. The crab cake starter is the best and most likely the largest in the city. It is set off by puddles of grain mustard seed sauce, aromatic oil and a frisee salad dressed to perfection - and I am no fan of frisee. Spicy crab gumbo, a special, was all that could be expected of this traditional dish. My day boat scallops were fresh and perfectly cooked. Ditto the lightly sauteed spinach for the table and so, I was told, was a salmon BLT that one of my companions enjoyed but did not share. The complimentary ice-cream birthday "cake" at the end of the meal was a nice touch. On other trips - almost always lunch - I have enjoyed the lobster cobb salad, the lobster BLT, and the fresh fish of the day. As to the ten percent negative, the loaf of bread that begins the meal is better than grocery store but not much. The owners would do well to find out who supplies the loaves at Atmosphere Bistro in Midtown and switch suppliers. The scallops entree arrives on a misbegotten tangle of fried strands of vermicelli, cheese and corn succotash. If you happen to order the trio of scallops, order them naked or with the frisee.

Charming restaurant with a varied menu and excellent service. We were there on a Thursday night and it was packed. It was somewhat noisy but no worse than most restaurants these days. Highly recommended. Warning: the traffic eastbound on West Paces Ferry is brutal in the afternoon/ early evening. Allow plenty of time.

We've been going to Blue Roidge Grill for many years, and have never had a bad experience. Superior service, great food, and most unusually in this day in age, an atmosphere where you can have a conversation without yelling! A great spot for special occasions, or just a very good meal after a busy week. I've taken business associates there for dinner, always had an excellent time and rave comments. Pricey, but worth it.

This is a critique of the website online menu. In short, it is awful. The print contrast makes it impossible to see clearly. Need a serious do over. I didn’t dine at this restaurant because no one in my party including me could read the menu.

A classic. Love this place! The bar and lounge area are wonderfully comfortable. Start there. The dining area is even more beautiful, and the food is outstanding. Lately, I have been getting steaks, but it is wrong to call BRG a Steak House. It s so much more. Valet parking. Upscale-but worth it. Ladies can dress up, but don’t have to.

I had big expectations when decided to dine here based on past reviews. Was able to get a seat at the bar next to a couple who really were not making the bartender’s life ( or fellow diners) any easier. Happens. The wine was fine and service was fine. My first order of corn soufflé came out cold - that was sent back and replaced. The crab cake was barely warm. Didn’t bother sending back as wondered if there was an issue in the kitchen that night since the people next to me complained to each other that their fish was cold. The dining room was not crowded so was baffled by the basics not being good. Disappointing won’t bother going back.

We had a fantastic lunch as a family last month and the food was incredible. The scallops were so good, the hot smoked salmon, and the crab cakes. Our waitress was really sweet too, forgot her name.

Probably one of the best restaurants in Atlanta.Excellent food and service. Great wait staff. Need reservation.Valet parking. Little bit expensive , but justified.Highly recommended.

Stopped in with business friends for drinks. First time here. Decor was wonderful Great place for business meetings Staff was very friendly and professional Parking limited Drinks good It a must try plsce6

The Blue Ridge Grill is classical lodge - woodsy, big cabin feel with efficient valet service, welcoming staff, and fantastic bar/bartenders. James started us off with top notch cocktails and snacks - sharp, friendly, and true people person. We sat on the porch which is always inviting and full of happy talk. Dinner seating is comfortable. Entrees are typical which is all good. But often you may just need a little extra to set it off. Such as mustard for your burger. We asked our waiter Todd for mustard. We waited while he headed back to the kitchen area and then started to come back our way - but then he didn't. He started working other tables - know this is his duty - and then he continued to move around the room. But not once did he have mustard in his hand, and not once did he return to check on us. So we ate our burgers while continuing to trust/hope he might catch our eye and remember the mustard. Nope, we got through the whole meal. The next time he came to the table was to ask about dessert. We did not have any, asked for our bill, paid it, and left. It's the little things that count - that makes the experience 100%.

Beautiful place (loved all the different textures). The food and service were beyond outstanding. The lamb chops are scrumptious. It has a lovely room in the lower level which is great for business dinners.

Wonderful flavors and textures, consistent quality and service, this remains one of my top favorite restaurants in the USA.

Second visit to this restaurant and I can assure you there a lots of better places. Atlanta is full of so many to choose from, and this is far from the best. The restaurant itself is beautiful except for the ladies' bathroom which is adorned with some of the ugliest and inappropriate nudes I have ever seen. Why would anyone ever think I woman would find this attractive or in good taste. The initial waiter was great, but then the next thing we new there were multiple waiters constantly at the table bringing water, bread, cleaning this plate or that. I guess the owners thought this was outstanding service, but it became annoying. Finally, the food. I had a Caesar salad. I usually leave off croutons because only the finest restaurants make their own but was hoping these would be different. Well they were not. There was a beautiful piece of bacon on top, but it was absolutely cold and not totally cooked. The rest of the meal was fine, but certainly not outstanding.

the woodsy cabin feel to the decor is so inviting, i had a fish special tat was cold when it got to the table so it could have been more tasty. otherwise the service was very good

Returned here recently and it is still great. The service is above exceptional. The food is also exceptional. We were celebrating a special occasion and that was noted from the time we checked in until we left. Salad ingredients were fresh and crisp.

Outstanding overall experience at Blue Ridge Grill. The service was prompt and attentive. The chef and staff took extra care in accommodating my teenager's very severe food allergies. The food was delicious - the grilled octopus appetizer was hands down the best I've ever had. The octopus was extremely tender and had no chewiness at all. The flavor was delicious - the chorizo added just the right touch. The diver scallop entree was heavenly; scallops were perfectly cooked and the lemon garlic sauce was absolutely delicious. Very pleasant and comfortable atmosphere. I would highly recommend and would definitely go back if in the area!

Last night we ordered a curbside dinner from Blue Ridge. Unfortunately they do not have a special to go menu and we were not advised about items that do not travel well. The lobster club was not good. The menu did not say it was fried and the items in the club including the olives and arugula were warm and the fries totally soggy. Though they included a loaf of bread and butter (a nice treat), they did not include the sauce for the 2 appetizer tuna tartars Or if the sauce was in the tuna tartare it needed more flavor. The crab cake was just ok. The beet salad was only fair. The best item was the scallops. The meal was pricey and with only one item being very good it was disappointing. Curbside was efficient.

Seemed like a popular place for dinner. Country feel. Great menu. Waiter was great, friendly and helpful. The crispy pork belly for appetiser was incredible! We had scallops and trout between us for main. Really well cooked. We were absolutely stuffed so couldn’t manage dessert! Great meal.

We brought our 17 year old son here to celebrate his acceptance into Georgia Tech. The steaks and sides especially the corn soufflé were outstanding! The service was impeccable. We were not rushed at all even though we did not order any alcoholic beverages. We will definitely be back.

Three of us were traveling for business headed back to the airport and literally dropped in here for dinner not knowing what to expect; totally random, with reviews to help and we were treated like long established customer from start to finish. Our server Angelique was training and we were well taken care of throughout the meal. This was a busy Friday night, friends and families, prom night and did not appear to be any other business folks. From the initial greeting to our leaving we lacked for nothing. The meals were outstanding, well prepared with forethought how the ingredients would meld together and the presentation was super. We will come back next trip, although we will plan better and have more time to enjoy the ambiance and super great service.

@TravelNTings #TravelNTings We came here for a birthday and they set up our table with a few party decorations and special happy birthday menus which was a really nice touch. They were very flexible to our customization of some of the meal choices so really good service. Two family members had the fried lobster tail and I sampled both lol The lamb chops were ok nothing really special, but We will be back!

Any reason is a good reason to come here. Lunch time you see your movers and shakers doing business here. Evenings you see families celebrating and couples bonding over great food and lodge-ish ambience. Love this place.

My wife and I celebrated a milestone birthday in this long-time ATL benchmark for fine dining. Service is the best ever, the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. Blue Ridge has a quiet and reserved atmosphere, perfect for an intimate dinner. The menu choices are all highly gourmet, I recommend any fish they serve. It is always fresh.

Its a nice place, but I have to say the worst steaks I had in Atlanta on my last visit. Definitely not worth the money - staff good and attentive but I doubt I will go back again

We had a great meal at the Blue Ridge Grill. Service was good despite a large party. Ambience is nice but casual.

After visiting the High Museum, our local friends recommended Blue Ridge Grill for lunch...Great!! It was a lovely dining event..nice to be out and dressed up a bit!! They offer a good wine list and a wonderful warm bread loaf for a start. Each of us had a different selection for lunch...steak, scallops, fish and all were terrific!! Wish there was a location here in Winter Park, Florida!!

great meal, great service!!! the staff were great and attentive. the kansas city strip was also amazing.

We went for Valentines Day. It was very crowded but the service was still great. First time we had been the froie gras was delicious. My husband had the lamb- he said it was unbelievably good. I had the shrimp and grits which was also very good. Highly recommend!

I was driving through Atlanta and by random chance stopped at the Paces Ferry Road exit for a break and a stretch, and Googled "restaurants" to find something for lunch. Lo and behold, here's a blog post that says this place is where Alton Brown likes to eat in Atlanta. Well - sure not going to pass THAT up! Left my car with the valet and felt underdressed as I went in to request a table, but of course the staff was gracious and friendly and I was seated right away. For starters, the bread they bring to the table is basically perfect - a simple French boule with an almost pastry-like crust and tender center. I had a beet and goat cheese salad that was beautifully presented and perfectly balanced. Then onto the locally-caught trout, a huge portion with a delicate beurre blanc that let the quality of the fish shine through. And despite promises to myself to behave, I could not resist the bourbon peach crumble and house-made vanilla ice cream. Be careful -- that's a crazy portion size for one person and I was sorely tempted to finish it anyway. (I was ultimately unable to do so.) This is a place where top-notch ingredients are prepared in an honest way. It's not complicated or fussy or over-the-top, it's just really good.

I had dinner at BRG with friends before the opera. Dinner was fabulous as always. Service was attentive but it took 30 minutes to get a simple bottle of Trimbach Reisling to get uncorked and served primarily because the server first brought the wrong bottle. The server was very apologetic. It is nice, on occasion, to go to an old school, white linen tablecloth restaurant especially when the food is as good as it is at Blue Ridge Grill!

Dined with relatives while in town. It was our first time here and we would certainly return. The selection of entrees was very nice, great specials and overall delicious food. The corn chowder was excellent. Very impressed with the price of bottles of wine - no huge markups. Service was attentive but not overbearing. All of the dining staff were friendly and accommodating.

A good place to go for special occasions. Great wine list. Specials are always great and changing. Mussels best I’ve had in Atlanta. Severings are large. My wife and I usually split the wedge salad which they serve individually. Reservations are a must!!

I have been eating at Blue Ridge for well over a decade and it feels like one of those places that will always be the same, but in a very good way. I love the comfort of the porch and the mountain decor and the food is always high quality. In fact, the family really enjoys all of three of the group's restaurants (with Bones and OK Cafe). The service is a highlight of the Blue Ridge experience and the food is consistently good.

This is not just a place to have dinner. This is a place to dine and truly take a moment to enjoy life. The food and the service is outstanding. We were there with friends in business, but this looked like a great place to go on date night.

We needed a place for a business dinner for 12 people. I’m not from Atlanta, so I searched for a place near our hotel that had private dining space. I was very fortunate that the place I found was the Blue Ridge Grill. The downstairs space they provided was perfect for our group. It was quiet, comfortable and well appointed. Everyone was very pleased with the food. I personally had the pork chops, which were some of the best I have eaten anywhere. The portions were large, food cooked perfectly and the service was excellent. Overall very pleased with our choice and the next time in Atlanta I will definitely return.

I took my sister here for her birthday celebration and was well awarded with a beautiful fire side table, decorations on the table in her honor, and a customized printed menu wishing her a happy birthday! The meal did not disappoint. I had the wonderful trout with lemon sauce and my sister had the pork chop along with whipped potatoes. The bread was delicious served hot with creamy butter and the passion fruit desert was a fitting finale. They even gave my sister a souvenir menu and a small box of homemade biscotti to take home with her. The staff did a wonderful job helping me to celebrate my sisters birthday and I am very grateful for the care which they provided us.

Cozy and unpretentious atmosphere; nice wine list - not overblown. Apparently a favorite with locals. Staff well trained to high standards.. how pleasant was that since poor service can totally ruin a fine dining experience. A vmixed crowd with several tables of businessmen - it was a Wednesday night, older couples who evidently were locals and several groups of women. A few couples. The round booths were very nice for quiet conversation. There are several areas separated by half walls and glass. Jackets no tie looks right on for attire. We will return absolutely...

Anytime out of town guests come to see me, I always take them to Blue Ridge Grill. Just walking in is special because it smells so inviting. Enjoying a drink on the porch is a real treat. I don't think they know me, but they always treat me like I am somebody! The service is so good you don't even notice them giving you excellent service. Every meal I have eaten there has been exceptional.

Went to dinner here with colleagues on a business trip. Loved the rustic atmosphere of the restaurant and the food. Appetizers, bread, and wine were all excellent and the shrimp and grits were delicious. The service was also excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The food and service here are always fabulous. My husband and I enjoy eating here with friends. He also brings business clients here for both lunch and dinner. The Mile High chocolate cake is YUMMY!

From the minute I handed the keys of my car to the valet the service was impeccable. We were celebrating my 76th birthday which we listed on our reservation. We arrived at 5:15 for a 5:30 reservation and were advised seating in the restaurant would not begin until 5:30. While waiting we were told to order a drink on the “porch” which had very comfy chairs and couches and an “old south” feeling. We ordered drinks and as soon as they arrived we were escorted to a booth next to the giant fireplace. As we were seated I noticed my menu had “happy 76 birthday Mark” on it. Our server Dean was a fantastic guide through the ample menu and we were able to share a salad which was double plated for us. The warm French round bread was fantastic and the butter was soft enough to spread easily. My red snapper was done to perfection and my wife’s trout was the same. Finally as a birthday surprise Dean brought us a slice of their ice cream pie complimentary. Lastly, as we were getting my wife’s unfinished trout to take home Dean included a loaf of bread that we liked so much, a copy of my menu and a little box of biscotti’s plus two wrapped dark chocolates and two Hershey kisses. Definitely will be goin back.

On a recent business trip to Atlanta a friend ask me to meet him at the Blue Ridge Grill off West Paces Ferry. My friend who usually likes the meat and 3 places surprised me with this recommendation. We met about 11:30 AM and the restaurant was already getting full. Better make reservations as we did. The interior is warm and with a cabin like feel. Needless to say it was high noise but you will over look that as you begin to eat your entrée which will be delicious. We both had the special that day which was a fresh fish a nice piece of grouper grilled and served with a nice pan sauce. We ordered the sides of mac and cheese and was some of the best I have ever tasted. I am planning another business trip to just have and excuse to go back to this restaurant. The service was very good we both were very pleased. The menu is on the high in scale for lunch but worth the money for the quality, presentation and freshness of the food. It's maybe half hour from the Atlanta airport depending on traffic. Valet parking is free and highly recommended as it sits on a very busy street. I feel sure dinner is just as good here as lunch is and again would get reservations. I enjoyed my experience at the Blue Ridge as it occupies a list of very good to excellent restaurants in the Atlanta area.

The difference between amateurs and professionals is attention to detail and this restaurant 100% nails it. From offering valet services to an escort with an umbrella in rainy weather, this place goes above and beyond. I'm a foodie, but I also work in the film and television industry and attention to detail to make guests feel welcome and comfortable is very important to me. Many higher class restaurants feel uncomfortable and cold, but the Grill is warm, friendly and inviting. The decor is filled with warm tones and lovely lighting that provides ample light for the table yet not so bright as to distract one from their company. The paintings are absolutely wonderful as they are fitting in the space, yet if you look closely they are a bit strange and unique enough to peak interest. I went for my 2nd year anniversary, and the table was decorated with confetti and Hershey's kisses and we received an amazing dessert for the occasion. From beginning to end it was an experience that I've missed from restaurants and I will certainly be going back even for non special occasions. The staff was attentive and friendly and I never had to worry about my drinks being refilled or having to wait to place my order. Everything was on par 100% throughout the dining experience and I've missed that especially during COVID. The food itself was incredible from start to finish as well. The oysters Rockefeller were the best I've had and the couscous pairing with the lamb was phenomenal. I will go to a restaurant sometimes just for excellent couscous and I definitely will be back. My husband's ribeye steak was scrumptious and perfect with every bite. This restaurant is every bit as on par with world renowned restaurants such as Gordon Ramsey's (huge compliment because I love Ramsey's restaurants), Bally's, and Commander's Palace.

We selected this venue for our anniversary dinner this year. I try to find appropriate fine-dining places that we haven't tried before (usually due to being located a bit out of our way and that it might be out of our regular dining-out price range). I'd heard of this place for a long time, but didn't even know where it was located until I looked it up. It is a stand-alone building in a plaza just off I-75 (several miles inside the perimeter). Parking is via valet. I am not sure whether there was an option to self-park conveniently? You could park in the lot for the plaza where the restaurant is located, I guess, but you'd then have to walk around the other shops to get back. The rear of the restaurant faces the rear of the other plaza shops; it is an unusual configuration. We were greeted and seated promptly. As with some other restaurants in this tier, they have the wait staff collectively assist you, maybe with one person as a 'lead'. Also, if you tell them (when making the reservation, which you'll need to do) that it's your anniversary, they take it to heart. We were wished a happy anniversary multiple times, there was a bit of related confetti sprinkled on the table when we arrived, etc. The atmosphere is like a lodge hotel, but a bit more light and airy due to the abundance of windows. My impression of the majority of the clientele was upper-class Buckhead residents, many of whom seemed like regular visitors here. There was also some tables like us who seemed like they were here for a special occasion. The menu selections were varied, and it was easy for both of us to find something we liked. My steak was well prepared. My wife liked her dish as well. The sides were large, and we ended up taking some portion home. The dessert was also good. Pricing here is, as expected, high. But you get what you pay for, which in this case is a full fine dining experience. I'd certainly consider returning here in the future.

excellent food - very nice servers- The customer is their number one priority. I would recommend to all my family and friends. We had a large birthday luncheon and the servers were all wonder people. They took excellent care of all of us - We had 10 people in our party and we had no complaints. Keep up the good work.

Wonderful meal, great service, nice cocktails. I had the best pork chop I had ever had and everyone’s meal was delicious. Nice atmosphere and wonderful service.

We were celebrating our friend’s 63rd birthday at BRG. It is an outstanding venue to celebrate a birthday or any special occasion because they not only make up a personalized menu with your name on it but also add some Hershey kisses to the table along with tiny glitter pieces and colorful ribbons. Our server, Taina, was one of the best we have had during several visits. She was not phased by the four of us perusing the menu, trying to make up our minds on what to order for over a half hour. She carefully managed her other tables while checking back with us periodically. After we finally ordered, our courses came to us with no waiting as she gauged our meal timing perfectly. I have to commend her observation skills as we were never left waiting for a course and she removed our empty dishes promptly, which made for a very enjoyable dinner. The menu items we ordered consisted of Sea Bass Cerviche, Crab Cake, Mushroom Arancini, Blue Ridge Grill Salad, Grilled Georgia Trout, and Pan Seared Bronzino . . .all of which were delicious. And, as always, they start you off with a warm round loaf of sourdough bread, which is super crispy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside. We were so impressed with Tainia’s first class service we asked to see the manager, Jesse Otero, who promptly came to our booth. After sharing with him how impressed we were with Taina and how she added to the enjoyment of our dinner experience, we also raved about the champagne salad dressing that came with their signature Blue Ridge Salad. He asked if we wanted to have the recipe and returned with it along with some samples of the dressing to take home with us. We can’t reiterate enough what a wonderful and memorable birthday celebration we had at the iconic Blue Ridge Grill

Great atmosphere - like an old hunting lodge. Service is outstanding. Menu selections are varied suiting many different food preferences. I had the salmon and it was cooked to perfection. And the warm chocolate cake for dessert was heavenly!

The Blue Ridge Grill is our favorite restaurant in Atlanta for so many reasons: lovely upscale yet casual ambience, always excellent service, and of course the food. It's so seldom that you consistently get all three components of a great dining experience. This year in order to avoid the Mother's Day mob scene, we instead went the day after and enjoyed a calm leisurely lunch. I was looking forward to the mussels and once again they were perfection. Plump, juicy and with the most delectable broth that you can dip their wonderful bread into after you devour the mussels. I have had mussels all over Paris and Brussels and these rival their very best. Best for sure in Atlanta. That plus the Blue Ridge Salad and I'm a happy mother. My husband really enjoyed the vegetable plate (4 sides) and the soup of the day. Our server was terrific as they all are there. I'm looking forward to coming back for my birthday because no one makes you feel more special than the Blue Ridge Grill on your day. Really you don't need a special reason to dine there because it never disappoints.

Our group of 10 had a fantastic meal here tonight. The overall experience from atmosphere, food, wine, service and presentation was as good as ever. Salads, appetizers, entrees and sides were all excellent and enjoyed by all. Be it seafood, steaks or other entrees, you can't go wrong especially if you follow your waiter's guidance. Finally, having a private dining area downstairs and watching the delivery of our food by multiple servers simultaneously puts this dining experience over the top. Bravo!!!

I ordered the fairly prozaic caesar salad but ventured into the unknown to try their vaunted Corn Souffle and was not at all disappointed. The salad was fresh, the dressing was tangy and well blended. The souffle was surprisingly sweet, with the tiniest hint of spice that only added pizzazz to an already delicious treat. These were all wonderful but the bread, a giant loaf of sourdough, fresh from the oven, with a hint of fresh butter on the side, was mouthwatering and fabulous. It's a very busy place, and I can see why. The waitstaff was also fantastic... enthusiastic and available, but never intrusive. Great restaurant, worthy of the reputation.

Service was excellent. Went with friends to celebrate our anniversary. this restaurant is a favorite place of my husband. His Berkshire pork chop was very good. I had excellent salmon. Friends ordered scallops and trout and said both were great. Very nice salad. A lovely meal - we lingered over drinks and dinner and were never made to feel rushed - although it was a busy Saturday night. A thoroughly great experience and we will go again - not waiting for a special occasion.

We had our office Christmas lunch at Blue Ridge Grill. The food was amazing. GA Trout was wonderful, they had amberjack as a special with barley and fall veg, it was sooo good! The corn souffle and the mac and cheese are worth the trip alone! Superb service. The enterance is still a bit tricky to maneuver but just be patient!

I really don't like celebrating Valentine's Day on the actual day because so many restaurants overbook, reservations are meaningless, the food is not well prepared and the service is rushed. Yet, here I was with a Friday night, Valentine's reservation for two at the Blue Ridge Grill. We were not disappointed with our choice. I called ahead to alert the hostess that we were running about 10 minutes behind. No problem. When we arrived, my date suggested a booth and we were accommodated in a really nice spot off of the main dining room. It was very warm and cozy and although there were other tables/booths around it seemed to provide a nice degree of privacy. And, the noise level was a notch or two below what was experienced walking through the main dining room. Nicole was spot on with her service... She was sensitive to the idea that we were not in a rush and she paced the drinks, appetizer, and meal perfectly. She was able to create a non-menu chicken dish for the lady and I had the Rack of Lamb done at a nice medium rare. We also shared the Pork Belly appetizer and chopped salad. Both very good. The menu is seafood centric, but they clearly shine with all of the menu items. It was a perfect evening and we will be back. There is a reason this restaurant is a top pick in Atlanta for over 25 years so do yourself a favor and visit them soon.

My wife and I went there for my birthday. The most friendly people in the world! They made me feel extra special. (Won't spoil the surprise in case you decide to go for your birthday!) The service was outstanding, the food delicious, and the attention made us feel like movie stars. A truly outstanding atmosphere. A little pricey but darn well worth it. Highly recommend!!!!

We frequent Blue Ridge Grill often and have never, ever had a bad experience. This review is simply a thank you for the wonderful dinner my family and I had recently to celebrate my perfect. To begin with, a round table so that the 7 of us could hear each other! Then out of nowhere, a platter of fried pickles appeared to munch on and did we ever! Everyone's entree was perfect. There is not better service in the city. Wonderful evening.

Bone-in-filet is a must when they have it! This restaurant has THE BEST ambience right down to an oil painting portrait of a rabbit decked out in a suit like royalty from the 1700’s. I want one! The service is awesome and the desserts are outstanding especially the peanut butter mousse.

This is a great place to dine in Atlanta. Service is exceptional; attentive but not annoying. Menu has a great variety for any palate, and has interesting twists on Southern. The filet mignon and fish dishes were all fabulous. Noise level was a bit loud for conversation, but not so bad that we couldn't have a conversation. This is a very upscale restaurant, but well worth the money.

A beautiful place to attend lunch. The service was superb and friendliness was very comforting. The server went out of her way to accommodate small child. The presentation was great as well was the fish of the day and the trout. The farm of the day soup and as fantastic. Where it went downhill was the lobster sandwich where the bread was grilled with so much butter that the grease prevented us from eating it. Portions were good.

the restaurant is known for good food, but two of their recent specials were outstanding. They had a white bean and bacon soup that was literally one of the best soups of any kind I have ever had. Their bone in filet was absolutely delicious as well.

The food is always excellent but the service is really outstanding. I was there recently with a party of 18. We did not have a fixed menu but all ordered individually. We were all served at the same time with courtesy and a bit of "flair" with several servers arriving with our orders at the same time. It was very impressive.

Lovely feel inside the restaurant but it’s just too expensive (for lunch). My wife order the ratatouille dish with salmon - no sides $50++. To make matters worse there was only a spoonful of ratatouille. Devils on horseback’s greasy and fatty and two had stones inside that I crunched down on - ouch. Trout was great, collared greens and corn soufflé lovely but again expensive. We did order a nice white chateau neuf de pape at $90 but paying $350 for simple lunch with no desserts - just can’t do it ever again!

Came here with colleagues after work. The food selection was great with a mix of seafood and meat. We had a seafood platter to share - served on ice over two tiers, beautifully presented with a lobster, razor clams, oysters, mussels. I ordered a crab cake as a starter which had chunky crab. Then I had scallops for main. I like that the portion size was more 'European' ie not big piles of food. The service was very good and efficient. There was valet service on arrival. They organised a taxi for me to the airport after the meal.

I have eaten at Blue Ridge Grill for years and never had a bad meal there. Recently I attended a board meeting for a charity I serve on and we had the private dining room downstairs. The meal service was excellent and the food fantastic. Known for their "southern cuisine" Blue Ridge has charm and character from the moment you valet park and enter the mountain lodge setting. Stone work outside and large exposed beams inside make you feel as though you have been transported a mountain lodge in Colorado (well, maybe the north Georgia mountains). I love the gumbo and had a large bowl of it to start my meal. Although I love it I passed on the fresh trout and ordered the salmon. We had sauteed spinach and bleu cheese chips to munch on too. Great restaurant with easy access and great service. Blue Ridge is especially good for business meetings and there are lots of business types there for lunch. Dinner tends to be more of a casual or couples crowd on most nights., The porch behind the bar is a great place for a quiet conversation or cold beverage. Don't miss it.

I very nice dining experience on the North side of town. The restaurant offers valet parking, which is good because there is very little parking space. We were seated quickly (reservations) and greeted by wait staff with warm breads and specials for the day. Most started with the Blue Ridge Grill Salad which has a nice mix of flavors with the poached pears, blue cheese, toasted pecans, and vinaigrette. Our table tried a mix of dinner items (Salmon, Chicken, and Beef) as well as table sides (spinach, whipped potatoes, and corn soufflé). The Corn Soufflé could have been a desert. We also tried several deserts - the pecan pie and strawberry cobbler. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding.

Supposed to be one of the legends - great meat, club atmosphere but lacking in that final detail that makes a restaurant and meal legendary

Enjoyed an anniversary dinner here while visiting in Atlanta. This was easily one of the best meals that my wife and I have had a years. The food was excellent and the service was equally great. Would highly recommend Blue Ridge Grill if looking for an upscale dinner in Atlanta/Buckhead.

Our best friends lives in Atlanta and we had been for lunch but never for dinner. Please stop and see Brian in the bar for the best vodka martini on earth and the best lucky enough to have Shannon wait on you. Customer service plus. Filet that is to die for (med rare) perfection along with a name potato. Other had the trout and pork chop. Wedge salad was very fresh. Thank you Shannon and Brian for a night we will never forget

Excellent steak dinner with grilled asparagus. Served with delicious Tikal Malbec wine supplied by Monica!

Blue Ridge Grill is a very under the radar incredible restaurant located on West Paces Ferry Road just a couple of miles from the center of Buckhead. For all of the exposure that great restaurants get on the internet like Trip Advisor, Yelp, Open Table, etc, Blue Ridge is barely mentioned, despite the fact that it has been at the same location for what I think is over 20 years. It even has the benefit from being owned by the same people who own Bones, the iconic age old steak place in Atlanta. BRG is just a restaurant that wants to have 5 star everything. The restaurant layout, the decor, the food and the especially the service, are some the best of the best in Atlanta. The food is incredibly defined with a great variety of cuisines that just speaks to a very creative chef. Everything we had was just superb, but one. My wife ordered a filet medium rare. We were eating early because we were going to a concert at the Cobb Energy Center and were running a little behind. We don't typically make a big deal over something that is not cooked perfectly, but we didn't have to here. Our server, Nicole, noticed that my wife hadn't eaten much of her filet Nicole took note of that, took the steak back to the kitchen and asked the chef if he thought it was medium rare, He thought it was medium well. Nicole did not charge us for the filet. I don't mean to make too big a deal about this, but this is what great restaurants are supposed to do. I have been to a lot of restaurants. We don't see that level of detail and service much at all at any level of restaurants. Blue Ridge Grill took a totally potential negative experience and turned it into a totally fantastic positive experience. A experience that we will share with everyone we have restaurant conversations with going forward. Great job. We will be back. And we will be promoting Blue Ridge Grill to all.

One of the best ever. Most professional staff and run to perfection. Menu selection varied with a good range. Almost old fashioned which makes it both elegant and comfortable at the same time.

We love this restaurant. It reminds us of the wonderful eating experiences we had years ago, at better restaurants and private clubs. The food is the very best of what I would call "All-American." The reception and wait staff could not be more gracious. All of these positive things are enhanced by the fact that I feel that Blue Ridge Grill is the handsomest restaurant in Atlanta, authentic, warm, comforting, and not pretentious.

Very good food, extensive wine list at reasonable prices and great service make this a go to restaurant in Atlanta.

We chose BRG for our special anniversary dinner, and what a treat!! Everything was perfect from the valet and wait staff to the atmosphere and food!! The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating with our requests and helped to make it such a lovely date. Everything we ate was top-notch (filet and pork chop mains were fabulous). The experience ended with a delicious ice cream pie. This was our first visit, but it will not be our last! Thank you, BRG, for a wonderful and memorable night.

We celebrated our anniversary last week at Blue Ridge Grill. It was our first visit and was based upon a recommendation from our son-in-law. Based upon input from several reviews, I ordered the trout entree with a large side of Brussels sprouts. My wife chose the Grouper and a BRG salad. All was well prepared and quite tasty. Serving all that was ordered simultaneously is a plus. Service was the highlight of the evening. It could not have been more impressive. The food was very good, but not on par with the service.

Good starter salads. Steak were good but fries felt overdone. You get and older profile on (at least) this Saturday night. Efficient and nice service.

We took a five year hiatus from dinner after a terrible experience. Based on the reviews, we were hopeful for a lovely date night. We arrived a few minutes before pur reservation time and were told it would be five minutes before we were seated. Thirty minutes later we were finally seated. The amuse buche we were comped for our wait was terrible. Our waiter was more interested in the large party of loud and obnoxious group seated behind us. The trout was served with a sugary lemon dessert sauce. The pecan pie was served with vanilla ice cream and not the cinnamon ice cream as advertised. The crab cake was very small, over cooked and served with a generous portion of straight up Zatarain's mustard. All in all, it was a terrible experience and not worth paying a babysitter for. We will never go back not would we recommend the restaurant to anyone.

First the good - Our server, Stephen was wonderful. He recommended the corn soufflé as a side dish, and boy was that great advice! The salads were flavorful, one of the best Caesar salads I've ever had, and the chopped salad was terrific. The valet parking made entry and departure efficient. At about $60+ per person (we're iced tea drinkers), we saw it as a reasonable value for a higher-priced dining experience. Now the issue - After dinner I asked my wife "how were the scallops," and I got an answer I hadn't expected..."chemically." I wasn't sure what that meant, and she said maybe there was just something in the sauce that tasted odd to her. Since there were only three scallops, she finished the meal, hoping for the best. At 2 a.m as she was throwing up, we learned the ramifications of the "chemically" scallops. Overall, it would have been an ideal 5-star experience had this not been the result. Unfortunately, we cannot envision recommending Blue Ridge Grill.

Excellence is the standard at Blue Ridge Grill. The dining experience is of the best you will find in Atlanta and the ambience is elegant while being casual. The menu is fairly simple and straightforward, something for everyone, but the food is delicious and memorable, the table service is first class. Every detail of the dining experience has been scrutinized and you can tell they work hard to perfect it every day.

Everything about our dinner was superb! So much so we went back the next night. The staff seems to genuinely like working there. The drinks we really interesting and our dinners delicious. Had trout and swordfish.

Relaxing setting with a hunt lodge feel. The food here is always good and the servers do a great job.

The Blue Ridge Grill is a must for fabulous atmosphere, great food and a staff that aims to please. A great mix of seafood, beef and pork that we have enjoyed for the past few years. Every time we come to Atlanta this is a must for us. You won’t be disappointed.

Great restaurant, great food, excellent service. Would definitely recommend and would definitely return.

The moment you walk in, you know this is going to be an extraordinary night. Professional staff, great drinks and wine list, and superb food. There was not a blemish on the night.

I've been several times, but we went on Halloween and it just missed the mark. Was a quiet night in the restaurant, so should have been easy to execute. Steaks were good, not great. My wife's was warm, not hot. Service was quite excellent, but the food was just pretty good. For $180 dinner (one glass of wine each), the food needs to be excellent.

One of the best places in Atlanta for a business lunch. I come here occasionally and everything on the menu is excellent, the atmosphere vibrant, and the service outstanding. The seafood dishes are especially good.

It has been a couple of years since I have been to Altanta and the Blue Ridge Grill, and once again it never fails to impress me.I travel the world and this is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants anywhere. Stopped by for a business dinner on a Monday night and the service as I have always remembered. From the moment they great you at the door until you leave, you are treated with the highest levels of service. The ambience is warm and inviting, and you never feel rushed. For dinner that evening I had the Salmon and it was wonderful. It was cooked exactly right. As one of the side dishes we got the corn soufflé. To this day, I still don't completely understand what it is or what is in it, I just know that it is the BEST side dish. You have to get this with any meal. All in all the food was fantastic. The only thing I would recommend is a bit larger beer menu with more micro brew selections to go with he outstanding food and service.

We made reservations for an early dinner with friends. The atmosphere is what I would call casual fine dining. The restaurant is too chaotic and servers too rushed to be actual fine dining but the prices reflect this fact. People were dressed anywhere from nice jeans or casual business attire to fancier. They did not appear to have any dress requirements though. We started with the seafood tower for the table which was very good. I had the seafood pasta which was also very good. Everyone else enjoyed their food as well which included the lamb chop and scallops among others. Would definitely dine here again.

Been here before so this is an update to that review. STILL EXCELLENT! Our table tried a mix of dinner items as well as table sides (collard greens, whipped potatoes, and corn soufflé). The Corn Soufflé could have been a desert. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding.

Amazing! Everything I tried was absolutely excellent. I overate and it was worth every bite! The handmade crackers and bread were addicting! The Brussel sprouts were the best I've ever tasted...... and for dinner I had the short rib which melted in your mouth. The chocolate cake was so rich and will satisfy any chocolate lover.

The atmosphere was very nice. When you walk in, it smells wonderful! The bar was full but not packed, and there were lots of people coming and going. It's the holidays so lots of people were out celebrating. Foodwise, they have a little bit of everything and everything I tried was delicious: the bread, crab cakes, lobster gnocchi, and the scallops. I didn't have a salad or dessert but others in my party did and they were all completely eaten, so could not have been bad. The steaks were all perfectly cooked as requested and looked fantastic, as well. Our service was excellent, too.

Excellent experience. From the valet to the hostess stand to our server to the most important thing-the delicious food! Shannon was an amazing server. I will ask for him from now on. Our drinks were very well made. Our meals ( gumbo, crab cakes, greens, trout, crème brûlée, sorbet) were perfection. The best part is not being hurried or rushed so you can enjoy your food and conversation. Lunch became a special event. Can’t wait to go back!

I've lived in the Atlanta area for 17 years and how I've missed one of Atlanta's elite restaurants is beyond me. When you walk in you immediately get the whiff of a large stone fireplace in a wooden "Lodge" atmosphere. In fact I instantly thought I was at the Grove Park Inn, in Asheville, NC. We sat down and we're served by Nicole who was fantastic for our needs. Two of us had the Scallops with a wedge of lettuce and two of us had the boneless Ga Trout with the signature salad. All four dinners were outstanding but I can also say that other steak dinners around us looked perfect! If I had any criticism of the restaurant, it was the bacon Brussels spouts were a bit on the salty side. My sister mentioned that to Nicole and she handled it perfectly!! Our family now has a new "favorite" restaurant to go to in Atlanta and you will to if you go to the Blue Ridge Grill!!

Love this place. Understated ambience a la mountain cabin--Highlands or Cashiers style. The food is exceptional, and the service impeccable and unobtrusive. Simply no better place for a lunch or quiet dinner.

Even though the bread served before the meal is warm and good, try not to fill up on it. Leave room for the meal. We have been here dozens of times over the years and the service has always been excellent and the food locally sourced. We often came after the symphony and what should have been a nice dessert, turned into a full meal, wine and dessert. That menu is just too enticing! This time my husband had the Georgia trout and I ordered the salmon. I usually peel off the skin from the salmon, but this dish had a crackly crunchy skin while the interior of the salmon was just a hair over the under-cooked red stage. An absolutely perfectly cooked salmon piece that takes expertise to get right, and boy, does Blue Ridge Grill do it right. On a Saturday night, the restaurant is full and pretty loud. Choose a non-weekend evening for the marriage proposal because the log cabin interior is gorgeous.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. It is always good food. The atmosphere is casual luxury, not at all pretentious. Excellent service. We need to return more often.

Excellent restaurant. Great starters — delicious tuna, excellent grilled asparagus and filet mignon was beyond wonderful. Service was equally excellent.

It’s been many many years since we’ve eaten at Blueridge Grill. We booked a reservation for Valentine’s Day. I just love the ambiance at this restaurant. Feels like you are in a high end cabin in the mountains. It’s awesome to say the least. And the food did not disappoint. We had the veal meatball appetizer and they were delicious. For dinner I had the pork chop and my wife had the fish special. Both were nothing short of awesome. We loved both dishes. The chocolate cake was fantastic as well! This is a great Atlanta restaurant that is perfect for couples or for business dinner. We will be back for sure.

A trip to Blue Ridge Grill is always a treat for the senses. Christmas is our favorite time to visit - the seasonal decor is gorgeous. This restaurant exudes warmth & comfort. The food is beautiful, service is friendly and professional. Patrons are never hurried along. Waitstaff go out of their way to make celebrations festive and personal. The bar serves up lovely cocktails - wine list is full of good choices. This place is a top choice for any casual lunch or celebratory dinner. We hope to return many times.

This was our first time dining here. The ambiance is really nice. It has that old inn feeling with an upscale flair. The service is outstanding. The menu offers good selection across food groups. They did have a few specials for the night. The food was terrific. The wine menu is broad offering many good choices.

Service was very attentive. Seafood tower was delicious. I had Shrimp and Grits which I highly recommend for people out of region. It's a delicious cultural dish.

We had an excellent dinner at Blue Ridge Grill. The atmosphere and service were quite good, the wine list was good, and the food was excellent. I would happily return.

Blue Ridge Grill is one of our top two destinations for special occasions in Atlanta, and again, on Valentine's Day evening, it was everything one could wish for. My wife loved her Short Rib, her favorite entrée when dining out. My butternut squash soup, a personal favorite, came with a Valentine heart shaped on top. My foie gras entrée was excellent, as expected. "Scrumptious," said my wife in regard to her dessert, a small white chocolate mousse, topped with raspberries. Ditto, my crème brulee'. My two vodka martinis were top-shelf. Ditto, my glass of wine and my wife's Merlot. Our server was attentive and his suggestions were spot-on. This is a 5-star dining destination, with only 3-star or, at most, 4-star tabs. Visit and enjoy the evening,

Six of us for dinner and enjoyed every minute of the dining experience. Great waiter Roland was attentive and on point with his recommendations. Appetizers and the main courses were a hit. Short rib entree was fantastic. Great atmosphere to be a part of.

Pros: When I arrived, the valet line was not too long. I let the valet cut in front of me to let him get to another guest departing and he was eager to get to me and my guest. He appreciated the gesture and instantly kept my car up front because of it. My reservation was for 8:00pm. I arrived at 715, and was still seated instantly. No issues or worries at all. the waiter arrived right away, and knew my last name. The waiter was very intuitive and skilled. He knew it was my first time so he thoroughly went thru the menu. I ordered the seared Salmon ($28 or so). My guest ordered Steak($58). Pinot Grigio to drink. (8 bucks per glass) The food was prompt, the salmon was seared just right. I tried my guests' steak, and it was also amazing. Carrots came with the salmon. (Not too firm, not too soft. ) Grilled onions came with the steak. The waiter also brought us a corn type of casserole on the house. I also shared chocolate cake with ice cream and warm chocolate sauce on the inside. Now... For a very few cons... My only wish is that more came with the meal. I probably spent about 120 overall and had it not been for the corn casserole as a side... I may have still been hungry. Besides that, I have no complaints. Four stars instead of 5.

We celebrated my Mother In Law's 84th Birthday at Blueridge Grill upon her request and for me and my Husband it was an unexpected surprise. Three generations were represented and we all throughly enjoyed the food, the service and the ambience. Our server was Audra. She was pleasant and very attentive. The special attention that was shown for our celebration was evident immediately on our arrival and continued until our exit from several members of the staff. They went above and beyond what was expected. We will most certainly return. The lobster BLT, the Wagu Burger and the Mussels were absolute stand outs but all of the food was good. My advice is...don't sleep on this place. Oh... did I mention complementary Valet ;-)

I have enjoyed the good food at the Blue Ridge Grill, but it's questionable whether I'll go back. On our previous visit we sat at a table, and the place was so noisy that we couldn't have a conversation with our guests. So this time we requested a booth. I am neither slim nor obese - I wear size 44 trousers. When I sat in the booth, the table was up against my belly, and I knew my plate would be unpleasantly close. But our guest, who is somewhat heavier, was miserable. She was so tightly squeezed by the table and the seat that she had to stand up in the aisle several times, just to get some relief. On top of that, the service was really sloppy - the first time that has happened. The Blue Ridge Grill is a great restaurant for thin folks who don't want to have a conversation.

I was looking forward to a craft cocktail and a delicious small plate . After asking about a speciality martini or an Aviation, neither of which did they have , I settled on a Cosmo. It was very bland and not very good . I decided on the beet salad and liver pate terrine. My husband liked the beet salad , I did not . The terrine was tasteless, I didn't even finish it . On the plus side , atmosphere is wonderful, our waiter was very good , at least at first . He offered to take my drink off the bill , I said that wasn't necessary. The bread was delicious but that was really the only thing I enjoyed, except my husband's French Fries . Probably will not return .

A forgotten gem...this Place has been around for a while, over 30 years. And it was my first time eating here and as a native of Atlanta. I was shocked on how good the food and service was. One of their sister restaurants is the number one steak restaurant in Atlanta, called bones. So all of their meat, steak wise, is grain fed beef. The service is amazing the menu it is robust and the food is excellent.

Relax, they do it all well. Great Staff, Great ambience, and wonderful food. Staff is very attentive, polite and accommodating. The Restaurant has the feeling of being in a upscale Mountain Cabin and the porch even more so. Valet parking easy access to I-75 and Buckhead.

This had been a favorite restaurant of mine but after recent experience I doubt I will return. Let’s start with waiting 20 minutes for bar service. Signature Salad and corn soufflé remain excellent. Short rib was tender but tasteless and cool in temp. If you embrace the “old South” then this is a restaurant you will enjoy. With all the wonderful new restaurants Atlanta has to offer, I suggest you pass on this restaurant.

The Blue Ridge Grill is such a wonderful restaurant. The food is fresh and full of flavor. A must for anyone visiting this city.

This year was our first year as new grandparents--just as it was our son's first year as a father. However, our son was going to have to work and would sadly miss being with us for lunch. Reluctantly we opted to still go to Atlanta to take out our daughter-n-law and new granddaughter. I made a reservation at the Blue Ridge Grill, pretty much at the last minute. They had an available reservation for lunch at 1:30. On our way to the restaurant, about 10 minutes away, our son called and excitedly told us that by the luck of the draw his company had given him the remainder of the day off, he could come to meet us for lunch. We quickly called the restaurant asking if it was possible to add one more adult to our table. We explained the situation. The hostess told us no problem. It has been several years since I last dined at Blue Ridge so I was happy to be back for a visit. The restaurant is charming in as the name would imply, a nice sophisticated mountain retreat...a retreat that just so happens to be in the middle of Buckhead, Atlanta. The Father's Day offering was gracious. A good mix of brunchy sort of food, but more in the way of real lunch type of food. Which I so prefer particularly later in the day. Our waitress was bubbly, efficient and most accommodating especially given the fact that we had a four-month-old baby in tow. Who, I might add, has been always great when we've taken her out...thankfully. Our waitress took our drink order as other staff delivered a basket of miniature honey glaze biscuits and butter. Once back with our drinks she explained the specials and answered any questions we had regarding the menu. Both my son and husband ordered the lobster bisque. An unctious blend of cream, sherry, and lobster. It was not too sweet as some bisques tend to be nor overtly sherry tasting, but rather just rich and creamy. My daughter-n-law order the poached pear salad which really was large enough to have shared. She loved it. Since I was holding now a restless baby, I opted to pass on a starter. Again, both my husband and son ordered the filet which were both perfectly cooked and came with a grilled Vidalia onion. My son ordered a side of truffled creamed potatoes that were amply portioned to share. I had the butter glazed North Carolina trout which was large and beautifully sauced and delicious and my daughter-n-law got the fried chicken. She said it was some of the best fried chicken she has ever had...not dry but moist and succulent as well as fired to perfection. It came with whipped potatoes. For dessert I opted for the mixed fruit crumble served with vanilla ice cream, my husband had the small bite which was a tiny chocolate mousse and our son and his wife split a chocolate molten cake. Our son also had an Irish coffee he said was soothingly decadent. It was a perfect meal for a perfect day. My husband said that we will definitely be back for supper soon. I highly recommend the Blue Ridge Grill when looking for good food, good drink in a sophisticated air of being in the mountains at the lake while actually being in the heart of Atlanta.

The staff go above and beyond in making you feel welcome in spite of the stress they have been under due to the recent protest activity. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is just right.

Visited Blue Ridge Grill for lunch last week. As always, staff side service is impeccably stellar. Ordered the chef salad - was the most unrecognizable chef salad I've ever seen. On top of being the most expensive salad I've ever ordered, it was simply some greens thrown in a bowl then topped with shredded old chicken, served with a side of ranch dressing (and lest I should forget - the salad had one slice of a mushroom). Final insult - spent remainder of the day with stomach cramps and diarrhea.

Dined here with clients after a meeting. Seating and servers were pleasant and efficient. Food was delicious, especially the crab cakes, tuna and mussels.

The crab cake appetizer was excellent. Service was great. All in all, though, we felt the food was ok. It is very pricey, but you should know that going in. Glad we tried it, but probably won't go back.

Nice staff, great service with an interesting menu. But it just doesn't seem to click. It's probably just me being older and a bit pickier, but to be on the high end of the price range there are better options. I ordered the trout and it came out looking like a piece of flounder. Heck, I wouldn't have known that was trout in a million years. The wine list is just okay - why do restaurants insist on stocking wines nobody ever buys themselves?

Great food, service and atmosphere. This is a regular business dinner spot for me. I find you’re able to carry on a conversation in a relaxed setting.

I enjoyed a business diner with four old friends at this Atlanta steakhouse. I normally ask to go to Bones, but one of the guests suggested this fine establishment. Apparently they are owned by the same people. We arrived a little early so we enjoyed a cocktail on their comforttable porch. We were then seated promptly, and greeted by a professional server. He explained each and every aspect of the restaurant, right down to their wood grill for cooking the steaks etc. The steaks and seafood were all great. Overall we had an enjoyable evening ,enhanced by great food and service.

We enjoyed the private dining experience here with a group of old and new friends. My wife had the trout and I had the red snapper special. Both were excellent as were the sides of spinach, creamed corn, and mac and cheese. Perhaps the best part of the meal was the beet salad, which was simply superb. Our server, Juan, gave us the royal treatment. BRG is a great choice for Atlanta dining at its best with a hint of north Georgia mountain ambience.

We cannot say enough positive things about our Amazing dinner last night celebrating after the wedding rehearsal for our son And his fiancée. The setting was intimate and easy to bring in flowers to dress the table a little more. The service and all of the dinner were impeccable. Shout out to all the staff but esp. our servers Mitch and Jessica. All exquisite and better than we could imagine.

Very expensive and very very average. I had ratatouille (very fair), and it had hard little veggie bits in it that I had to constantly removed from my mouth that were unchewable. My wife had fish which was okay. The bread is excellent, but that was all.
I was disappointed
We were greeted warmly on our arrival and had to wait a few minutes in the bar area to be seated (we had a reservation). No local liquors and a limited selection of gins; mid range at best. Our waiter was efficient. Sadly things went downhill from there. The shrimp in the Shrimp and Grits is from Thailand (please! we are mere hours from the GA coast and the Gulf; excellent shrimp can be sourced from both); all other seafood except the farmed GA trout and PEI mussels was from suspect out of country places (see the Monterey Bay Seafood guide). The meat meals are huge - one is even 24 ounces! For those who prefer not to eat meat, the selections were limited. My collards were good. We were not rushed and the seating area near the fireplace was pleasant, esp. on a chilly evening. I have had satisfactory lunches here in the recent past; perhaps I should stick to lunch in the future. . . .
