This spot has the best açaí bowl I’ve ever had—bursting with incredibly fresh fruit and perfectly chilled. The coffee was rich and smooth, easily the best we had during our time in La Jolla. My wife loved the lox toast—super fresh and beautifully prepared. Cozy indoor and outdoor seating make it a great place to relax. Highly recommend for a light, delicious breakfast or brunch.

Was a yummy experience and nice portion food. Playing was nice. This is the type of place you get your own utensils and then choose a place to sit. They are let friendly and that always a plus. The hash browns were frozen variety, that was my only disappointment. Otherwise I would have given them 5 stars. Btw, smoothies are as expensive as the meals themselves.

We had a really fabulous and delicious brunch at Blue Whale our last morning staying in beautiful La Jolla. The Blue Whale is such a lovely cafe and we appreciate that there are so many different menu options including Gluten Free. Decor is great and the service by staff at the front counter is welcoming and friendly. We ate outside on a lovely Sunday morning and thoroughly enjoyed our indulgent French Toast and Ube Pancakes along with excellent coffee. The presentation of our food was like a little piece of art. Definitely give the Blue Whale a go!

The most delicious vegetarian breakfast bowl and vegan burrito ever! Just gorgeous! Great service and lovely sitting in the sun with chilled out ambiance. Wish we could take it all home with us!
