Great old west atmosphere and great service and great prices and great food...especially the steaks. Not easy to find...ask for directions, you'll be glad you did.

This place has been here since 1955, pretty cool, very traditional like it should be, like stepping back in time. Generous portions. The steak was good. There sandwiches are great, make sure your hungry 🇺🇸😀

We have been aware of the existence of this restaurant for several years. We were planning to take out of town friends to a steak house in the Las Vegas area and thought we would try the Ranch House before they arrived. It is obvious that the owners have not invested any resources in the restaurant. It is very dated with shabby carpeting and unappealing chairs and tables. In addition the lighting was terrible and the music was too loud and tuned to a local radio station. After a couple of requests the music was turned down. The hostess wanted to seat us in a corner near the kitchen, but we asked for a table adjacent to a window. The blinds covering the window appeared not have been dusted for days. After we decided to order our entrees, our waitress tried to steer us to more expensive dishes and after two or three attempts, she finally took our orders. We also informed her that we have been drinking California wines for more than 50 years, and yet she attempted to influence us to purchase inferior wines from the Pacific Northwest. When served, our steaks were tough and our sides dishes were very much run of the mill. The salads were okay, but when we requested vinegar and olive oil, again our waitress recommended the house dressing instead....but we finally prevailed after insisting that our request be honored. The bottom line is that the decor, food, and service were less than average, and needless to say, we took our friends to a different steak house!

My father in law and I ordered the filet minion. They were both less than a 1/2" thick, and tasted terrible. I could not eat mine, sent it back and they took the 42.00 off the bill. It's dark inside and I believe they keep it that way because of how crudy it is. The mens room was disgusting. Crud built up in the corners and sticky floor. Looked like a low end biker bar restroom.

I can see how this would have been the place back in the day. The food was great– service and atmosphere casual and authentic. Worth the drive but not sure I'd come back. Loved the big fireplace!

This place is right out of a history book. It's out of the way, sure, but everything it has to offer if perfect if you like old timey ranch house styled restaurants with flavorful meats, amazing lobster tails, and a good strong drink. There isn't much else out there, but it's worth the trip. Also, we got there for an early 5 pm dinner and by 5:30 it was PACKED, so make a reservation and be prepared to wait a few minutes for the food. Totally worth it, tho.

The Chicken Cordon Blue was Black ashes on the outside and dry on the inside. When the waitress offered to get me a new one, the chef wanted to see it. So she took it back and he said it was suppose to look that way. Well she ordered a new one and within 5 or so minutes she brought it out. I wondered how it could be done so quick. It still had black ash marks on it. She said try cutting it in half. With a steak knife I still had trouble cutting it. It was so overdone. I think they must have a frozen product they microwave and then throw in the fryer. It doesn't work. This is a $25.99 dish!

We have been there many times over many years. We went in October 2016 and give them 10 stars. Three of us ordered a filet, a rack of ribs, and a sirloin. All three meals were 10+ stars as good as it gets. We were very critical last year but must today give them our highest recommendation and will be back. We MUST give credit where credit is due. And we tipped 25% for great service. WHOOPEE - we will be back soon.

This is a disgusting place. Steaks are way below average and staff are not well trained on how to make a drink. Will never ever recommend this nasty place to anybody.

This spot is a must do without a doubt. I have a relative that lives nearby and he has been raving about this spot. Great food on a mesquite grill that annot be beat. Very cool cowboy theme too. Loved it!

This place is straight out of an old Bonanza episode, on a ranch far removed from the hustle and bustle of the Strip. Though it is a bit of a trek to get there, it is well worth it. Our group ordered a variety of dishes: chicken, steak, seafood, salads, etc. All were excellent. I went old school with a house salad, baked potato and Ribeye (medium rare). It was perfection. The service was excellent, the ambiance was fun and the drinks were friendly. The prices are also very reasonable, far below the standard fare at the resorts on the Strip. I am not sure it could have been any more perfect. I will definitely be back.

Please understand this review is for a weekday lunch experience only! First, it is quite apparent that the population has moved in around this business and has really stagnated customers. In its heyday, the ranch house must have been set apart in the desert with thrilling views and ambiance... Today, the restaurant is completely surrounded by residences on 3 sides and a high retaining wall for the highway on the 4th side! It was a bit difficult to find. When we dined there for lunch, there was only 1 other table being served in the restaurant. This was a good thing because there was a grand total of 1 waitress/hostess/bartender and 1 cook in the restaurant. She seated us and said she would be with us right after she took the other table's order. 20 minutes later she returned and apologized because someone had come in for a gift card. I will say after that (no one else came in) the service was excellent. I ordered a 16 ounce ribeye steak which I found to be, although cooked to my specifications (medium rare), rather tough and chewy. I was hoping for better at $32.99. The garlic bread was actually just sandwich bread which had garlic spread applied then lightly toasted. Although it was tasty, it stuck to the napkin it was served in and made a rather poor presentation. My wife's French Dip was quite delicious except half the bread was badly burnt. The interior atmosphere was quite interesting with the autographed photos and movie posters gardening you back to a time long ago. It was an excellent atmosphere for a steak house! The only detraction was the Pittsburgh Steelers gear on the walls competing with the western motif... An old western sports bar? As I said, this review is primarily for a weekday lunch visit at a mid-priced steak house. The lack of customers in the daytime has apparently made them greatly understaffed and their meat quality was less than desired. Hopefully I will get the time to try them in the evening soon.

I will not return. The BBQ ribs are average, steaks fair, disgusting potatoes double baked and an ancient ugly interior atmosphere.

Looking at reviews on Yelp sadly it appears they don't get read by anyone in the business. As pointed out by another review, my sister and I came in to eat tonight and got Sabrina as our server. I wish I would have read his review before we went. I normally always leave 20% but this girl was not even worth 15% although I did leave her that. We were seated and it really did not take long for her to come bring waters. She asked if knew what we wanted and we said not yet so she turned and walked away?? I called her back and asked if we can order an appetizer? She said oh sure. It went down hill from there. We got our food, I asked for bacon and cheese with all the other fixings. Needless to say I did not get bacon and cheese with my potato. I had to ask another server to please find our server as she was nowhere to be seen. Once she came back, I told her I did not get the bacon and cheese and she babbled something that was so not understandable and walked away. She eventually came back with the bacon and cheese. At least three times we had to ask somebody else to get us water and when we were done eating we had to ask somebody else to bring us boxes. The food is amazing. I had a 12 ounce ribeye with baked potato and it was cooked to perfection. My sister had the filet with a twice baked potato and said it was amazing. I also had the French onion soup which was pretty good. I highly recommend this place for the food but sadly the service is hit and more of a miss. I'm guessing this starts with the manager as he does not acknowledge any of the customers and allowed the staff to stand in the back socializing with each other. A few older servers tend to their customers the way a customer should be taken care of and you can tell they are not happy. It's a very unfriendly feeling in there which is sad for such an amazing place. Maybe a change of manager may improve the staff morale and service.

The food was good but overpriced. Appetizer portions were small for the $10 charge. Not much of a menu selection and super dated decor. Our server was friendly and all other staff were very nice. One of our relatives told us about this place so we decided to try it out. He had never been himself but many locals love this spot. If I were in town again looking for a great steakhouse, I would try another location.

I have been there a few times but My wife and I went there for lunch the other day and it was great. Great food at great prices. The crab cakes were awesome! Don't expect glitz and glamour. This is an old, historic restaurant in the north part of the Las Vegas valley that wouldn't be out of place in a western movie.

Just never get to eat at Bob Taylor's often enough, but just had dinner there last night for some friends for Christmas and it's as good or better than any of the 5-star hoity-toity casino restaurants! The ambience...the big platters...the service (Nicole was great!) in an old rancho house that's been there for decades and still sits in a gravel field (so is the parking!) is worth a great evening! Can't wait to go back. Just one caveat...every time we get there, the prime rib is already out! Darnit. As we seem to find out the folks who come to Bob Taylor's tend to eat earlier and the dinner rush is about 6 p.m. So that sort of wipes out the prime rib since they understandably only cook so much. However, our server Nicole tells me that on Monday, it's prime rib night so you pay $1 for each ounce all you can eat. Gonna plan a Monday next time! I still have leftover in the frig from last night...my 22oz bone-in ribeye and my wife's lamb...can't wait to sneak into the frig later! Thanks for the great evening!

Great place to get a wood grilled steak of any kind. Well established with great western movie memorabilia everywhere. I like to take friends from out of town to this location as it's authentic and great food. Try their special on the smoked prime rib priced by the ounce.

Ordered the BBQ Pork Sandwich, Ranch Burger, and BBQ Chicken Salad. The Chicken Salad was soggy and the Pork Sandwich mediocre. The Ranch Burger was a pre-formed hockey puck. The waitress was awesome and kept our drinks filled.

It has been several years since I returned to Bob Taylor's and the food is still great! The steaks are cooked on a Mesquite wood open grill and are cooked to perfection. Service is still awesome and prices are considerably less than the casinos. It's a nice change from over priced restaurants in Las Vegas

Bob Taylors bills itself as the oldest continuously running restaurant in Vegas. It’s for a reason - the food is great. But it looks like the place hasn’t seen any update since day one. It could be a gem if the owner just gave it some love.

Awesome Steak house. Great food.. big portions. We had the surf and Turf.. lobster tail and prime rib. Great limited selection of wine .. awesome service. .

Am a fan of baby back ribs and when I bit into these at Bob Taylor's I was amazed! So tender and soooo flavorful. Not to mention the huge baked potato that was cooked to perfection. Garlic bread mmmmmmmmmmmm! Finished the meal with the best key lime pie EVER.

Bob Taylor’s is our go to for every anniversary, special event or celebration. Outstanding food, friendly service and great atmosphere. An Old Vegas throwback that’s well worth the trip.

Wonderful steak house with something fir everyone… even have pasta for a vegan, though why a vegan would wander in here is a mystery. Great steaks cooked the way you like them. Service was good as was the wine list. Overall good experience.

My brother lives in Vegas area for 20+ years and took us here tonight...it was a Monday so Prime Rib special...Beef was outstanding and potatoes extraordinary...we added mushrooms as a delight...We come from NYC and have been to top steak houses but this was melt in your mouth beef...Uber from Strip here...dinner for 4 was less than $80 and you won't find more attentive service!

I had read an article that this was one of the iconic must visit places in Las Vegas and after having dinner there \i agree. This has been around since the 50's and it looks like the decor has never been changed, felt like walking back in time. The food was simple but well prepared, portions good and prices very reasonable for what you got. Next time back in Vegas, we will be going back, it was a bit of drive but well worth it!

Our cousin said she remembers coming here as a child, bouncing along the old ranch road to a working ranch. Not much has changed inside, which is perfectly fine. The cheese bread is simple, but fabulous. Our filets were cooked perfectly and the cut of meat, very tender. One of our meals was a bit cool on this very busy Saturday night, which was quickly remedied. Don't be in a hurry in this classic trip to the past. We'd go back!

Well we were glad to find the address at the end of the street. Thought we made a mistake. Our first time coming to Bob Taylor's G-d willing would like to dine again. Greeted at the front door & seated without a reservation. The room is large with a fireplace. I had the rib eye & baked potato loaded. Both cooked just right. So get on your horse & ride over to the Ranch House.

We have lived in Las Vegas for some time, and yet had never been to Bob Taylor's Ranch House. We tried it on an afternoon, and were more than pleasantly surprised. The place is BIG inside, and apparently fills up on weekends. It was fairly slow when we arrived (about 1:00pm), and the service was great. The food was exceptionally good and we were impressed with the overall menu. Prices were very reasonable. The tables are set with tablecloths, there is NO loud music playing, and you can carry on a conversation with your table mates. We will surely be back again, and this is the place to take out-of-town guests.

Food is pretty good, service is ok. But the waitress accidentally charged our table (two people with a split entree) for a party of six. Ran the card, so it placed funds on hold/pending. They refused to void it or give us something in writing stating it would be corrected. 5 days later, they still have my $233.22 for the fraudulent charge on hold. Owner was a complete jerk about it, didnt care and actually laughed in my face. Use cash and just be careful with the bill.

Excellent old school steak house in Northwest Las Vegas. A traditional locals place with excellent food, great service and western atmosphere. Prices are great, no strip steakhouse prices here! Full bar with lots of choices. If you like Bleu Cheese dressing, they make their own and it is excellent. Easy parking…..definitely make a reservation! Clientele are locals with lots of cowboy hats…awesome!

I friend of mine took me Bob Taylor's for lunch and it was great. Taylor's is tucked away behind some new residential homes but has clearly been there before anything else existed out there. It a nice oasis of stake in the desert. Highly recommend it for lunch or dinner.

My husband and I went to Bob Taylor's Original Ranch House to celebrate our 14th Wedding Anniversary. I mixed up the time and we showed up at 6:00 p.m. and our reservations were not until until 6:30 so we had a drink at the bar until our table was ready. The bar area was nice but it was kind of dark but that didn't bother us. We actually met a couple at the bar and the wife said she first came to the Ranch House when she was 3 years old, keeping in mind that it was opened in 1955. They were a very nice couple. When we were seated we were given the menu and wine list. We ended up purchasing a bottle of wine. I ordered the crab stuffed mushrooms for the appetizer and it was very good. I did think they could have been a little hotter (heatwise) because it was just warm, but they were good nonetheless. My husband and I both had the Lobster Bisque which was excellent. I recommend it. I had fettucine with scallops for my entree and I could not eat it all so I did take it home...excellent the next day. My husband had steak and baked potatoes which he said was good.. I highly recommend Bob Taylor's for dining. We will definitely be back!!

We showed up (5) at 5:30 PM on a Saturday night without reservation. Not good idea. They had room but hostess said we had to eat in bar area. She seemed upset we even showed up. We were fine with the bar area but were seated at table barely large enough for 4. Asked to move this other small table over and was refused strongly. So we made do even though waitress had to use that table to sit our wine bottles on. Those tables were never used. Waitress was nice but hostess was very rude ... it is nice that meals were served with 2 sides. priced fair, 2 bottles wine, 2 appetizers, 1 prime rib, 1 porterhouse, 2 ribeyes, 1 pasta dish with 3 desserts was only $250 prior to tip. It is old fashioned steak house and above average food. The place is dated and worse part (besides hostess) is it is packed too tight. They need to remove a few tables and serve less. Just not a relaxed feeling. Till they fix that it will stay a 4 star.

Great food & great people at great prices - it doesn't get any better! An old ranch house converted into a charming steak house that hasn't changed much since it opened in 1955. It's at the end of an old residential road - you're sure you're lost, but you're just not there yet. It's an unpaved old gravel road parking lot, eating up to a white house next to the freeway. The front grass garden area is home to many beautiful cats who will gladly help with your leftovers! Basic food, simple side dishes, old school flavor salad dressings, yummy white cheese bread & a killer chocolate cake! The staff feels like family & you see the open flame grill with a hard working chef upon entering. Nice Western ambience with old movie posters. Good bar selections in a simple interior with tables & seating. Service is fast, friendly, helpful & kind. Prime Rib Special on Mon I believe. Awesome ribs, great steaks, good flavors throughout all their food. Their house potatoes are their specialty & surely one in your party should order to try & share. Have been back several times, on special occasions; they never disappoint. My Mom's go-to steak house when she's out for a visit. Generous portions & not outrageously priced. Would definitely recommend & will go back. =)

Relic of old Las Vegas! The restaurant has been there since 1955. Back then it required a trek from the Strip and Downtown into the mesquite hillsides near Red Rock Canyon. Today it is bordered by the freeway and the communities of Summerlin and North Las Vegas. No longer out in the sticks. Perhaps best described as a relic, dirt parking lot, and a building that is relatively unchanged. The windmill is now a cell phone tower. The steaks are inconsistently prepared. Medium rare steaks may be served rare or overly done. Be assertive and send the steak back if it is not cooked to your satisfaction. When properly cooked the steaks are tasty. Perhaps a bit salty, but good. The green salads, especially the blue cheese, are old school, with lots of blue cheese. Don’t expect a Ruth Chris steak, the prices are considerably less, figure about $30 for a rib eye steak, salad, cheese bread and a baked potato. Tasty and a trip back in time.

In Vegas for a hockey tournament. Booked a team dinner for 10 with 90 minutes notice on a Saturday night. They were waiting for us. Prompt, friendly service. Most steaks were outstanding, those who got filet mignon raved about. My porterhouse was overcooked, more medium well than medium rare, but still tasty. Wines were very basic and a bit pricey. But we had a great time and a nice dinner.

We visit this steakhouse every year when we attend the NASCAR races. The food and service are amazing.

The Ranch House only had three tables taken when I stopped in at lunch. This was okay for a Monday I expected faster service. The waiter was okay. I ordered sauteed Chicken Livers (appetizer) and a Burger with Fries. My Iced Tea and water glasses were filled on a regular basis. Before my meal arrived I drank two glasses of the tea and two glasses of water. I was asked how I wanted my burger cooked when I started to answer, I was told it had to be cooked medium. The Chicken Livers were swimming in grease, had been microwaved-could tell from the texture and and they were extremely hot. Served without bread or crackers. They were so greasy they were inedible. The burger appeared to have been precooked and was well done. The fries were cold. The pickle, tomato, and lettuce were okay. The kitchen seemed to be able to cook only one order at a time.

We were visiting a friend who lives in Vegas but lived in Ohio for many years. There was a restaurant in Columbus, Ohio that we all loved to go to~it was old school, rat-pack style with a piano player. They had killer steaks, salads, drinks, appetizers, great service, etc. Everything was good and it has been in business for many years. He recommended this restaurant as it was a lot like the one in Columbus. I had the prime rib, french onion soup, huge baked potato with butter and sour cream, cheese bread and some of the best horseradish sauce I've ever had! My husband had sirloin, salad, baked potato with butter and sour cream and cheese bread. Our friend had steak, salad, loaded baked potato and cheese bread. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal and our waitress was very attentive. If we're ever back in Vegas we will definitely eat there again!!

Bob Taylor’s is very original steakhouse. Cozy white table cloth restaurant, pretty hidden, off azure. Best kept secret is prime rib Monday’s. 1.00 oz for meat. You need to buy at least 12 oz, but it’s fine quality. Then you add a few dollars for veggies. They also have a ribs night, I’ve not had that but heard it’s very good. Highly recommend the Monday special, prime rib. It’s not advertised, or on menu. You have to ask for it, to get it. Dress code is fairly casual, I’d recommend collar shirt for men. It’s still white tablecloths...respectably.

When you hear the term 'hidden gem', it truly applies to this establishment. A supreme steakhouse in the middle of a massive housing development, this place is first rate. It's hard to find, and I could never get back there without a GPS, but it was worth the drive from the downtown area's of Las Vegas. First off, this is a premium steakhouse and it has the prices to reflect that. Nothing on the menu was below $25, so think twice before you bring any youngsters. That being said, the selection of top-end steaks and serving sizes was excellent. My personal choice was the smaller Filet Mignon, which was fantastic. It didn't come bacon wrapped, which seems to be the standard anymore, and was cooked to perfection (medium well for me). It had clearly been aged slightly, and was all the better for it. The sides were fine, but that's not what we were there to eat anyway, so I won't spend any additional time on them. My dinner partners got the New York Strip and the Prime Rib, and both raved about the cuts and the manner to which they were cooked. Excellent. The building isn't large, it's a converted ranch house, so seating can be limited. We went on a Sunday night and it was approximately 75% full. The wait staff was accommodating and friendly and the drinks (iced tea) were good as well.

We had gone here previously with some friends and it was fairly decent. However, this trip totally convinced us to never ever go back. When we arrived we got a table directly beneath the ceiling bent, which was very strong. The waitress wasn't very friendly and had trouble getting back to our table from time to time. I ordered the prime rib. When it finally arrived it was almost ice cold. When I was able to flag the waitress down she asked me if I wanted to have the chef "drop it into the au jus"? I was fairly appalled by this because if they would drop my meat that I tasted into their au jus to heat it up, isn't that the same au jus they dip out to send to the tables? I have restaurant experience and generally there is one big pan in the steam table with au jus in it. My wife's steak was very chewy and it was underdone. She ordered MR and it was almost blood rare. What got me the most was that when I asked to speak to the manager, I was told there wasn't one. However, I could speak to the owner. He eventually came over and I could just feel the attitude exuding from him. He listened to my complaint, shrugged his shoulders and said "sorry". Nothing further. No people skills whatsoever. Then he just walked off. When we left it happened that the owner was working the door. As we walked out he said "Come back soon". I don't think he even recognized that we were the ones who weren't very happy. I told him as we walked out that "we will never be back". I highly recommend that you avoid this place at all costs.

Decided to try Bob Taylor's as many people in Vegas talked it up as a must go to place for steak. We made reservations but we're able to get seated right away. I had the filet, which was a large cut of meat but it had very little flavor. My husband ordered the Porterhouse and was disappointed. It was a thin cut steak with more fat than meat. The server was great though and worked hard to ensure we had good service.

This is a restaurant that used to be a five star restaurant, but the owner wanted to bring great food to regular people. We had filet mignon with salad and baked potato, and chicken cordon blue with lobster bisque soup and twice backed potato. The waiter also brought us cheesy bread that turned out to be sour dough sliced bread with butter, garlic powder and cheese. Sadly, the potatoes were the best thing. The steak was half well done and half medium. The chicken was over cooked and breading burnt. Dinner costs about $25+ a plate. Definitely a place we will not stop at again. I recommend skipping this one.

Amazing food and great service. It's been open in Las Vegas for 55 years! It's so refreshing to find a quality steak house that doesn't force you to purchase everything ala carte, which equates to a huge check and wasted food. Will definitely make this a favorite go to!

I do not get it. We recently had a birthday celebration here only because the guest of honor had always wanted to eat here. Wow, what a let down. I can only speak for my wife and I and our food. We were both very unhappy with all aspects of our meal. The crab cake appetizer tasted fishy and seemed like a frozen product. It was also served in a giant pool of unpleasant sauce. Both of our salads had rusty lettuce, nasty tomatoes and very runny dressing. The steaks were not even as good as the ones I get from Costco and cook at home. The NY and Filet were both pretty thin, but ok. The service also was lackingfrom the get go. Our party of 10 was seated at a round table in the corner. So besides service being slow we were constantly having plates handed over our heads and handing dirty plates to our server. In my opinion a big negative at any restaurant. When they brought the birthday day cake we had to ask for plates and forks. The forks never came so we had to take them from another table. We were all ready to wrap this up and go, and we could not even find our waitress to get our check. It took about 45 minutes just to get the check. The restaurant was not even very crowded. We did like the atmosphere, very much a old ranch house vintage feel, but that's it. I can say that the $100 dollars we spent for our dinner left a bitter taste for sure. We will not be returning.

First off love the idea of a ranch atmosphere. But the parking has fallen objects and huge bumps. The idea of gravel is fine but they need to fix it. Food was just ok. Little flavor on steaks. With the prices I really expected more. For the same price there are far better places in Vegas. Also the place is so dirty. You can have an old feel without looking like a dump. For a good steak I would not suggest here. Hit up a Station Casino all of them have far better steal at the same prices.

Was told this place has a great steak, and I was not disappointed! 16 oz ribeye was perfect, the ranch potatoes tasty, and the blue cheese dressing very good! They have earned a repeat visit! One word of advice, ask for the ranch potatoes on a separate plate if you like crunchy cheese!

I had some BBQ ribs from Bob Taylor's at a party. And as a Kansas City girl, I am hard to impress with BBQ, but these ribs were tender and tasty, with a sweet, smoky sauce. Last week, I met a couple of friends there, one being from out of town. We all ordered steak, and each of us got ours perfectly cooked. I will DEFINITELY be back! My FAVORITE thing about this place was the glaring of feral cats that recline on the soft green grass of an evening! This place doesn't look like much from the outside, but you won't find a better steak at a better price anywhere in Vegas! Not fancy, but top quality!

This was a big surprise! We weren't sure about coming here but now are certainly glad we did. Unfortunately, they were out of Lobster Tail. However, the other menu options were right up there in perfection. Scallops in wine sauce, Crab legs, and steak!! Yummy!!

When I heard they served Smoked Prime Rib I knew I had to try some. My son and I were in town for a convention. We always look for good Prime Rib wherever we go. It is a bit of a drive from downtown Las Vegas, about 20 miles, but is definitely worth it. If you have never had Smoked Prime Rib before you owe it to yourself to try it. It is wonderful. The nice bark on the outside compliments the flavor on the inside. The balance of meal was very good and the service was excellent. We will eat here whenever we are in Las Vegas.

We went here for a birthday celebration and the food and service were wonderful!!! My boyfriend actually said it was the best steak he's ever had. I was pleasantly surprised with a bowl of ice cream with Happy Birthday in chocolate syrup on the bowl.

We ordered two 12 oz Filets Medium. They arrived burnt on the outside and Rare in the middle. They also smelled really bad. We each had one bite before deciding to feed them to the dog. Pretty disappointing to spend $120 on a meal and only eat one bite of the main dish... Save your money or go anywhere but here.

This is our go to steak house. Oddly enough my husband loves the fact that they mix your salad for you before bringing it to the table. I love the prime rib. Monday nights are their prime rib special night and it is one dollar an ounce. We will go there and get enough for lunch the next day too

We eat here every time we are in town, at least once or twice a year. Steaks rival any steak house in the strip - but two or three can eat here for the price of one on the strip. Steaks are 5 Star. Service is great. Would be 5 Star review due to the quality and cook of the meat, but is not a high end place. This is the place for meat and potatoes. You do not come here for the decor or the salad! Decor is so dated, it almost has become chic. You know it is good because he dining room is always full - with locals. They cook over a very hot wood fire - gives a nice char and flavor, while sealing in the juice. This time two of us had the 16oz Grand fillet medium rare. You could cut it with a spoon. Tender, moist, and packed with flavor. Amazing. Last time had the bone in rib-eye. Wanted to gnaw on the bone. Twice baked potato, the perfect compliment. If you have room left desserts are great - try the apple cobbler or key lime pie.

Growing up as a kid in Vegas our family used to go to Bob Taylor's for special occasions. That was over 30 years ago. Our family went tonight and it was just as I remembered it. It brought back so many good memories. The food was delicious. I had the smoked prime rib and lobster tail which was perfectly cooked, and the mixed vegetables, which we also nicely done. Our server was personable and attentive and took good care of us. Not much has changed at this place over the years, and that is a good thing. I have watched Vegas grow and become a place I really don't like to visit, but this restaurant took me back to the days when Vegas was a small town. I would not change a thing at Bob Taylor's. If you want great food and a taste of old Vegas, this is the place to go.

This was our first visit here,,,we have family members who live in Las Vegas. They picked us up from out hotel on the strip and we were gald glad they were driving...not sure we would have found this on our own!! We all loved our meals...appetizers and steaks all around. There were 7of us and we were never made to feel as if we had to hurry and staff were all very attentive. Will want to return whenever we get back to Vegas.

Bob Taylor's Original Ranch House has been around for years. They used to be considered to be way out of town, but the town has caught up and passed them. We have dined there many times since the early 90's, while living in Las Vegas, and we will still go back for a dinner every time we are in town. Their prices have gone up over the years, just like everything else, but the food quality and service quality remains consistent - outstanding in both categories. We will always return whenever we are in town.

I was searching for nice restaurants to take my wife out for our anniversary. Hugo's Cellar, prices as high as Ceech and Chong!!!!lol Delminico's Steakhouse? Always great but prices now through the roof. BOB TAYLOR'S ORIGINAL STEAKHOUSE still RULES THE ROOST. Prices WELL below all the "fancy" upscale places. Food? As good as any restaurant you will go to. Whether it is Sirloin, New York, Porterhouse or Bone-In Rib Eye you will tremendous value and a great steak. Baked potato, twice baked potato, or several other sides INCLUDED in price of meal along with either soup or salad. Do yourself a favor......try this restaurant....YOU WILL BE HOOKED!!!

Very friendly staff from the moment you walk in the door. Steaks are the best ever-melt in your mouth. I like that it not an a la carte. Dinners include soup or salad, bread and potato. Salad was very fresh and crisp. Service was excellent. Never hurried. Great atmosphere. I have no complaints about this place. I have been here several times and will continue to go here. Great for dates or families.

Enjoyed the history and theme of this spot. Lunch steak salad and chicken salad were our choices. Different than we expected but enjoyable nevertheless.

The parking lot had a lot of holes in it. Hard to walk to the door for seniors/disabled. Property not maintained at all. Not a fan of the cheese bread (just white sliced bread with cheese on it). My spouse and I both ordered an 8 oz filet medium rare. His came medium rare mine was medium well and was dry. When I told the waiter he said it was too late. I only took three bites. Too pricey for the quality and service.

We have been here many times for lunch and dinner. Early visits we had some great dinner steaks and prime rib and great lunches, but later visits some very bad meals. Steaks are mixed, ribs gave me food poisoning, great burgers and fries and prime rib. One evening we ordered three steaks medium and one of them came out virtually raw dripping blood - whoops!. Twice I ordered the strip steak salad for lunch, first time perfect, second time the waitress said she changed my order from medium to well done because "a salad should only have well done meat & not have blood dripping on it" - the steak was shoe leather and I reduced her tip significantly and should have left her nothing. Either serve it the way I order it or do not serve it - and why ask me how I want the steak if the only way she will serve it is "well done". They have an all you can eat rib night that was served barely above room temperature and within hours I had food poisoning. We have not been back since.

Our debt card was charged for another table's meal. It was quite expensive. When we notified the owner, he became very defensive and has left the transaction pending for more than five days with a hold of almost $300. Unless you have cash, I would not recommend this place. It is not worth the hassle for a below average steak.

North of town of 95. You are really just about in a residential neighborhood. This place is still a working ranch. Like stepping back in time. Bar is cool old and classic. Food was terrific. Lots of great cuts of beef. If you want Prime rib go early or its gone for the night. Great service and great atmosphere

Our son and his wife invited us to go there to celebrate my husband's birthday - it was our first visit. We had a great meal, good service and in a fun, funky setting. My husband and I shared a steak and a side dish. The steak was cooked just right and was delicious. The service was good, our server was knowlegable and helpful.

This place came recommended by someone. Was very disappointed as this could have had potential as a smoke house. The salad was drenched in dressing, and the steak was very bland. The wings as the starter we're pretty good.

We used Trip Advisor, as usual, to scout out a good steakhouse for our last night of vacation. This was a treat and a gem. Bob Taylors Ranch house was the place to go back in the old days and that hasn't changed. Its vast history from the mob days and the Rat Pack visit was enough to have me from the get go. Our server, Kelly M, guided us as we chose the Mushrooms and Shrimp Cocktail to start and a Filet and Ribeye to finish. Kelly's knowledge of the past and great serving was the best. The food was excellent and if you are willing to drive 20 minutes away from the strip, you'll be treated to a great steakhouse that has stories to tell!

We had appetizers. Crab stuffed mushrooms and Fried calamari that was yummy. Dinner was steaks that were tender and tasty. Dessert was key lime pie. And we had a nice bottle of wine. For a group of 5 bill was. $ 290 plus $80 tip. Nice place. 😊

Visiting Las Vegas and staying with local friends. They recommended this place and drive us there. Glad they did! Nice retro feel, old-style steakhouse. We had a great dinner and I enjoyed my ribeye a lot.

Despite changes in ownership and the urban spread now surrounding this once far away outpost, this restaurant has retained its old west flavor. Food is still very good at a very good value.

I was so disappointed in the Ranch House. I've heard from many friends over the years that this is the place to go if you want a great meal and unfortunately I felt very different. My meal started with broccoli cheddar soup. The consistency was grainy and was more like blended broccoli and mashed potatoes. You could stand your spoon up in it. The garlic bread was cold and lacked flavor. For my main course I had the 8oz Filet Mignon. The meat was tender, it was cooked properly however it lacked flavor. My twice baked potato was average. The one plus to my dining experience was the service. Our server was prompt and courteous. Unfortunately you can get a better steak and potato at one of the chain restaurants.

it was nice to get away from the restaurants on the strip for a night. Bob Taylor's was well worth driving out to. The porterhouse steak was amazing. The only problem was the lobster tail. Being honest it wasn't great. The meats were great though. The portions huge and at a reasonable price. The service was also very good. Would definitely go again.

Very unique place that’s been around for a long time. Ambience is really neat, steak was great, salad was very good, potatoes real good. Worth the drive to come out for a good meal.

FANTASTIC food and excellent service! The steaks are perfectly aged and the prime rib is wonderfully smoked, and the ranch house potatos are a delightful touch that can't be replicated anywhere else. Prices are very reasonable for the quantity of food served; for comparable quality elsewhere in Vegas, we've been charged almost double! The atmosphere is always welcoming, and even when the restaurant is busy the interior noise level is never overwhelming. This has been our favorite restaurant for over a decade (when we first learned of it), and will continue to be. Highly recommended!

Stopped in for lunch today and the food was fantastic. Especially good was the Calamari appetizer, which was cooked perfectly and the portion was very generous. Sometimes when you order Calamari, you get rubber. Not here. It is perfectly cooked and literally melts in your mouth. The hamburger was yummy, and although we didn't order a steak (for lunch) they looked fabulous. Chef is truly a gem. By all means, try this place out (it's been there since 1955, and is going strong).

300 meal. Not lunch, not dinner. We missed lunch... Chef Board recommended Filet mignon and soup of the day, new England clam chowder. Sounded Great! Cheese toast included with meal. Ordered filet, medium rare, clam chowder and green salad. Side of mushrooms. Lovely, Moderate California Zinfandel (Ravenswood) for our beverage. Our server, Callie, was prompt with our toasty warm chowder;soda crackers on side. (not too hot, not too cold, just right!) Lovely house salad with generous blue cheese crumbles. Then...the filet...8oz of medium rare yummyness! Tender, mesquite smoked deliciousness. Delicately sautéed garlic button mushrooms in a butter sauce. Another stellar meal from Bob Taylor's Rsnch House!

My wife is a very picky steak eater and when she doesn't have to send it back because it's not done to her satisfaction the entire dining experience takes a big jump up the satisfaction scale. Food was excellent and well worth the price. If there was any drawback it was that it seemed to take a little longer than usual to get the meal. Social distancing was very observed and that's very important to the both of us.

My third visit. A Monday evening staple. Bob Taylor's Ranch House is "old school." Not for everyone. Just great food. Monday is prime rib night. Call for details however one will not be disappointed. From my greeting by the manager, Aprel (I believe I spelled it correctly) to the excellent wait staff, everything was perfect. I tend to only review either the very best or the very worst. Bob Taylor's is the epitome of great food. I absolutely recommend both the prime rib, cooked to perfection. And the baked potato. Again, please do not forget to tip your waitress or waiter, they work extremely hard for you!

My father-in-law is close to 90 and wanted a steak dinner. We chose Bob Taylor’s for its great food, casual atmosphere and good service. We had reservations and our server was Cori L. She took great care of us and went out of her way with our requests. She showed extra patience and understanding and we appreciated it. Dinner for 4 was $235 (exclud. tax and tip). Note, we only had soft drinks and one beer. Excellent value for great steaks!

visiting son last night when he suggested a off the beaten track locals type of place to eat Glad we did wife and I had rib-eye son had sirlon and we had more than to eat truly enjoyed the old west movie posters make reservations first place was packed food was worth it only bit of bad news dirt parking lot was in rough shape after the rain

Went to Bob Taylor's tonight with a party of 3. 1/2 a roast chicken with twice baked potatoes that was really good also had broiled shrimp with the Bob Taylor house potatoes those are amazing and then filet mignon and a baked potato everything was perfectly cooked the service was outstanding. Oldest steak house in vegas, old school, super good!!

We went on a Monday night. Place was packed with people wanting prime rib for a buck an ounce. In our group, four of five did the prime rib. It was a decent deal. First off, the atmosphere just feels old and dated, not kitschy and retro. It could use some updating. The service was sooooo slooow. We weren’t in a hurry, but even so it felt glacial. We should not have been there two hours. I thought the food was average. The prime rib wasn’t any better than the super cheap deals downtown. The calamari appetizer was decent. It wasn’t chewy, so it was cooked well. The salad was mixed with ranch dressing to the point of saturation and consisted of some simple lettuce, onion, cherry tomato and some croutons. Very basic. The garlic cheese bread seemed like something I should love. I had one piece and had zero desire for more. Not exactly sure why. Maybe because it was just a big soggy piece of bread. This place gets a lot of hype, but I’m not sure it’s worth it. I don’t see myself anxious to go back anytime soon.

Moved recently to the area and have been driving by saying "we need to try that place". Today was the day and we stopped for lunch. Obviously a converted ranch house from days gone by. We were greeted by the hostess/server and as we walked by the open kitchen the Chef gave a smile and great welcome. I tried the prime rib beef dip and my husband had a huge burger. Everything was cooked perfect, large steak fries were hot and crispy. We really enjoyed our lunch and can't wait to come back for dinner.

Probably the original steakhouse in Las Vegas, this restaurant used to be far out of town, but with the evolving times and the growth of Las Vegas and its surrounding suburbs, it is now well within the city limits and easy to get to. And it's worth the trip off the strip! Things that have not changed is the exceptional service and the mouth watering steaks that are served up. I went to this steakhouse many years ago, was impressed then, and was impressed both of the times I have recently been. This place is great for a date, group dining, or parties, and there is a full bar if you enjoy a drink before, with, or after dining.

The Original Ranch House was for many years hidden north of Las Vegas, Now surrounded by freeways, it was built back when US 95 was a two lane road. Now the place is nestled in between expensive houses but fortunately still sits on a large parcel of land, giving that isolated sense. The menu hasn't changed much, the staff appears to be much younger than I remember but the service and the food were still top notch. The steaks are prime quality and cooked as ordered. Lobster was great, even the salad was just the way I like it - not just with blue cheese dressing but with blue cheese crumbles over the top. Simple, yet elegant,' Like most dinner houses, the entree comes with only one side included. You'll want to spring for more as man cannot live by twice baked potato alone. I asked that the veggie side (squash, brocolli, peppers) not be served al dente, I like mine cooked. I ate every bit of them. Coffee and tiramisu for dessert really completed the experience. The prices are high but well worth a relaxing evening over a great meal. And they are open for lunch these days!

This was our first visit to the Ranch House. You really need to want to go there to find it. It is at the end of a residential street right on the 215 but you can't get there from the 215! We were greeted by a delightful hostess and seated promptly. We walked right by the grill making an impression on us. Good looking meat on a fire! Our server was a very nice long term employee in the place and offered us cocktails and brought us terrific garlic cheese bread right away. They have a nice full menu but not overpowering which is appreciated. Their focus is on beef although 2 of our diners had chicken dishes and loved them. I ordered prime rib billed as their specialty. I followed the temp chart which didn't work out to my benefit. I ordered Med rare which said was a warm red center. It came med well. That was OK because when pointed out to the server she promptly took it back for another one. Not a warm red center but acceptable and very tasty. The mushrooms i ordered didn't come until i was almost finished so i told her i didn't want them. She apologized and offered them for free but i declined. Ordinarily with these few mishaps i wouldn't rate it as very good but I think it is repeatable and i will try a steak which i saw on another plate.

Very good meal. Everything was done very nicely. Our son had the Diamond Jim Brady and finished it so he got a free dessert! Portions in general are very big so you will definitely fill up. The bread is also very good. Service was very good too! For what you get the prices are reasonable. Worth a visit. Plenty of free parking.

Have eaten here many times. Always get the 22 oz Bone in Ribeye to share with my daughter. We love it rare. Side mushrooms and onions are the bomb. Twice baked potato is delish. They are not the fancy strip kinda place. They are rustic and old school and the food is great! Prices are good and the service is great! My favs are the Bone in Ribeye, Lamb and Prime Rib! Yum Yum. Desserts are great also! They are open everyday at 11:00 am. Lunch is until 4 pm. Dinner is served all day!

A good steak house is hard to find these days. Most of the good ones are gone and the few that are left have gotten so expensive that you almost have to mortgage something in order to eat there. And when you order a steak, that's all you get! You get a steak in the middle of your plate and everything else is extra. We were a party of four and we all ordered the 8oz filet (there are larger ones on request) they were all delicious and so were the baked potatoes and the wonderful salads that came with the meal.

I had been here once, about 6 years prior for my birthday dinner. With Vegas gradually re-opening following the Covid-19 shutdown, I noticed they were one of the first places reopening upon approval to operate. I quickly made my reservation. It is a 90 mile round trip from where I live in the Boulder City area. A Vegas tradition, where celebrities, mobsters, and commoners have gathered for years. They are in fact Vegas' oldest existing restaurant. The Mesquite grilled steaks are more than impressive. When I arrived, the staff was friendly as always, and glad to see me. The service was spot on, and the wine prices for such a quality place are very reasonable. I absolutely love the home-style environment, and the after dining sit outside the entrance is very cool. This may in fact become an annual birthday tradition. It is well worth my journey to visit again.

Like stepping back in time--Bob Taylor's Ranch House offers a comfortable dining room with terrific vintage western movie posters. The smell of meat cooking out back is wonderful. Food was delicious, staff was kind and friendly, and the setting ideal. Used to be a ranch in the middle of nowhere, but suburbia has crept up to its edges. Still a delightful place to enjoy a great meal.

Best steak in town. Great ambiance seemingly a million miles from The Strip. Even we big boys need a to-go box. Them vittles is whoa-boy good. The filet I always order (perfectly pink and warm in the middle) requires no knife; you can cut it with a dirty look. Even as I drive by Bob's sign, it's a Pavlovian response. LOVE that place. Have for many, many years.

We were heading to a friends house and stopped by this place we heard was a local fav. The apps were good and reasonably priced. Ribs were very good. A lot of history and not much changed 😄. Good service.

Yummy, with G-R-E-A-T food and very attentive wait staff. Steaks cooked to perfection. Nice pour of wine at a reasonable price. Made a return visit for lunch with guests. Again, G-R-E-A-T food and service. We'll be back.

Christmas eve last year I was served cold scallops. Waiter never returned. This year I was served a cold baked potato. Server exchanged my potato for another COLD potato. Out of the six dinner guests, three potatoes were sent back, and only one potato that was replaced was considered slightly warm. Come on guys, really? I am no longer excited about going to Bob Taylor's and don't recommend it.

We had a pre-Thanksgiving dinner with family last week so we were on our own for the actual Thanksgiving dinner and we are so glad we chose Bob Taylor's. They were very busy but we did not have to wait for anything. We had reserved a table and were seated immediately. Our server could not have been more accommodating or fast. There was a young busboy who was a pleasure to watch, his seamless redressing of the tables so no one waited was an art in itself. (didn't get a name but he was tall) Dinner was great. Served hot and cooked to perfection. Thanks to all of you for working on the holiday to make ours better.

A Las Vegas local (age 73) took me to this gem, which I noticed won a "Best Old-School Restaurants in Vegas" award. Our waitress was fantastic, and the food was wonderful, too. I loved the seafood stuffed mushroom appetizer, and my filet mignon was incredible. Not only did it practically melt in my mouth, but the flavor was wonderful. My friend loved his, too, and his baked potato was enormous. Next time, I wouldn't get the cheesy potatoes, but I'm sure a lot of people like them. Since I'm not from here, I'm not sure if the prices are in line with Vegas, but they are a bit high in my personal opinion. That said, it was worth it this time. This isn't a new restaurant, and it's not cheap, but it's special, and I recommend it to anyone.

Try the porterhouse, it was amazing! Throw back decor, picture of John Wayne over the fireplace so you know you can't go wrong! Strive was great and food even better, would recommend to anyone! Ample parking, even for large RVs. Check this place out!

A cousin turned us on to this restaurant - and I am so happy he did! 12 oz Filet Mignon (with soup or salad, garlic bread and potato/rice side) for $54. A STEAL for Las Vegas. Speaks cooked perfectly as ordered. One Old Fashioned cocktail was $10, while my better wine was $12. Key lime pie was $9. Service from Nicholas was very good. Not a restaurant I would recommend for a stellar ambience, or sophisticated atmosphere - but rather a homey, 50s or 60s style restaurant with solid food. Wood paneling, acoustic panel ceiling with basic booths and tables. Plenty of free, off street parking. We will definitely visit again!

9 of us went to dinner for a birthday on a Thursday night at 600. Our table was crammed, and although the server was pleasant, she had way too many tables, and it took forever too get our food. The steak and crab legs my brother ordered came out cold and his steak that was supposed to be medium rare was medium well. My steak was supposed to be medium and was rare and my lobster was cold. We ordered a side of mushrooms, and never got them. Christy, our server took the lobster and crab legs back and when they came back still cold, and no mushrooms. It was very LOUD, and out of 5 steaks ordered. 4 were not cooked right... The lobster and crab legs were probably sitting n the window for 20 minutes, as it took over an hour and 10 minutes for the food to get out. Forget about how backed up the bar was.... I HAVE LIVED IN VEGAS FOR 30 YEARS AND USED TO LOVE THIS PLACE, WHEN WE GOT THE BILL THEY WOULDNT TAKE THE CHARGE FOR THE MUSHROOMS OFF, AND DID NOTHING ABOUT THE COLD SEAFOOD. NEW MANAGEMENT NEEDS TO TAKE A STEP BACK , AND WORK ON QUALITY CONTROL AND SERVICE, THAT WAS NOT A PLEASANT DINING EXPERIENCE FOR THE MONEY!

I had the prime rib. A giant piece of meat with an even bigger flavor. The food is traditional but there is nothing wrong with that. Good food doesn’t need to be trendy!!! Growing up in Las Vegas and Bob Taylor’s was always a favorite and always will be!!!!

Living in Vegas, you want to get away from the strip, and this place is the perfect place to go for a delicious dinner without the strip prices or tourists. I always get the prime rib. I brought my parents here when they visited and my mom got the halibut and my dad the filet and ALL were absolutely delicious! I always bring my out of town guests here because I want them to know there is more to Vegas than just the strip or downtown. Also, this is a cool, hidden gem, its a restaurant in the middle of a housing development.

The Ranch House advertises itself as "the oldest existing restaurant in Las Vegas" and looks the part. Housed in an old (what else?) ranch house, it would have been out in nowhere when I first visited Las Vegas back in the 70's. I wish I'd known about it then, because I've missed a heck of a lot of really good dinners by not knowing this "locals' secret"! On a recent visit to family living in North LV, I saw the Ranch House from the 215 freeway and asked by brother about it. After receiving the briefing from him, which basically consisted of, "it's the best steak I've ever had and they serve prime rib 'by the ounce'", I knew where we were eating that evening. What do you mean, "by the ounce", you ask? It means that they have a special night on which you are charged $1 per ounce of prime rib in your order. We didn't get there on the right night (and forgot to ask what night of the week that was, darn it!) but ordered off the regular menu. When you pull up to the place, you're taken back in time right away. The parking lot is desert, and you walk in under the ranch gate that's probably been around as long as I have. Heading up the walk to the door, your way is lit by white Christmas lights (yup, this was in late June) and you'll observe several of the ranch cats sacked out on the grassy yard. Inside, the decor matches the outside, with whitewashed walls, classic Western movie posters, a huge collection of spurs and bottles on display. I hadn't thought to make a reservation, coming as I do from rural Nevada where such niceties are quickly forgotten, but the charming maitre 'd took it, and us, in stride and found us a table. I just can't say enough good about the food. I had the prime rib, of course; 12 ounces, medium well, with a twice-baked potato. We ordered an appetizer plate of calamari, as good as anything I've ever had in Sonoma County (or anywhere else) and piled high. My wife also ordered the prime rib, medium rare. Both cuts came beautifully cooked, artfully seasoned, juicy and tender. No one left the table hungry; I'm just sorry that I was so well stuffed with good beef that I couldn't sample something like the 5-layer chocolate cake! As to cost, dinner for 6 was approximately $160 (no one ordered an alcoholic beverage in this party). In short, it's an experience not to be missed if you are in Las Vegas and don't want to be just another tourist eating on the Strip, just make sure you make a reservation, even on a Monday night. The Ranch House is definitely my go-to steak house in Las Vegas!

Wow, this restaurant is original! It started in 1955 and hasn't changed much. You walk into the bar area and see that the restaurant is dark and well...original. We were seated quickly and greeted by our waitress, Kali. She was nice, friendly, and very helpful. She even adjusted the air conditioning when we mentioned it was a little warm. My wife and I decided to split the prime rib dinner and we're told that it costs an additional $10 to split meals! I have never eaten at a restaurant that charged you to split a meal, especially when they are charging premium prices $26-40+ for meals. We ordered the prime rib medium rare and when it arrived it was shoe leather well done! Kali quickly saw this and offered a ribeye as a solution, when she found out that there was no medium rare prime rib left. This tells me that the prime rib was left over from the day before during a special they have since it was early in the day and a steak house should not be out of prime rib that early. The ribeye came out quick and had mixed reviews between my wife and I. I thought it was pretty good but she thought it had burnt charcoal charred taste. They do cook all thier steaks on a charcoal grill, which may have had some burnt stuff on the grates. The portion sides are really huge and you will not walk out hungry! The building needs some renovation and with the prices of the food I can't imagine they could not pull it off. I know it's original, but changing old carpet and water damaged ceiling tiles won't deter from the originality. Our waitress Kali made up for all the other issues and saved our dining experience. She was personable, friendly, and quickly fixed or food issues above our expectation.

Ordered one 12 oz. Sirloin Steak, medium well. Two small medallions of near raw meat were served to me. Have only experienced that much blood from a raw piece of meat. Waitress was AWOL for ten minutes, so when she finally appeared my dinner guests had all practically finished their meals. So I had them wrap the meal and took it home to cook. They were still uncooked when I weighed them. 4 oz each. After cooking came the biggest surprise. The meat was poor quality. This is my first review I have ever given. Never knew an eating experience could be so unpleasant.

Hadn't been there in over 20 years . Probably could have stayed away another 20 . Food and service were OK , but not as good as I remember it back then . Noisy , old and in great need of an update . If you've never been there its at least worth one visit to experience an old Vegas classic .

The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was our steaks were served cold. We didn't feel like returning our food so we just ate it. It was Rib Night and we should of ordered ribs. They have delicious ribs but my husband and I felt like a steak, that was not a good idea. Our server was named Antonio and did a good job with our service but he should of noticed our order must of been sitting there long enough to be served not even warm. He waited for us to finish our salads, it was a poor call, we would of preferred our dinner been severed hot, our salad were secondary. The baked potato was hot but the steak was completely cold. It was a delicious steak even cold but a big disappointment. When a sever has to make a choice like that please, please serve the main meal hot. We will return because there are not many places like this left in Vegas where you can get an affordable meal at a really comfy historic place.

It's easy to get to, There's no parking fees and it's no where near the strip , so you don't have to drive cross eyed looking for the parking

Hard to get to, but nothing is better than a slab of beef on a hot mesquite wood fired grill. If you like old western movie themes, then Bob Taylor’s Orignial Ranch House is for you. Prices are a bit high, but you are off the strip.

My wife surprised me for my birthday with reservations here. We had both been wanting to try Bob Taylor's for a while now. We were seated right on time even though the place was packed on a Tuesday night which gave us high hopes for the meal ahead. The waiter seemed a bit on the new side and a little nervous but was very nice. We started off with the Crab stuffed mushrooms and cheese bread the mushrooms were great and the cheese bread outstanding. The house salad arrived and was good but nothing to get excited about as we were both waiting for the main event. My 8oz filet Mignon came perfectly rare and delicious and the ranch house potato's were the best, rich and decadent. Unfortunately my wife's 12oz rib eye was severely overcooked and had to be sent back but her baked potato held her over until the replacement showed up. When it did it was awesome, flavorful and cooked just right. The meal ended with a fudge sundae. Over all it was a great meal in a nice place with nice staff. We will most definitely be back again.

Great meal. Shrimp scampi excellent. Crab legs a bit skimpy. Apple cobbler the perfect end. Service a bit hurried. Seemed understaffed. Did not diminish a solid experience.

I've dined at Bob Taylor's for years. It is difficult to find, even for local residents. Having said that, it is well worth the adventure. The steaks are grilled, in the open (you walk by the grill on the way in), over mesquite. Very native to Nevada and very tasty. We've dined and many steakhouses in Las Vegas, and none has beat Bob Taylor's. You can spend a lot more and many places, but you won't find better flavor or a better overall package for the price. We generally have the twice baked potato and salad with the house dressing. We always enjoy the garlic toast and generally a side of mushrooms. My wife likes the king crab legs. Always hot and generally very large. There is nothing fancy here, don't expect it, only great food!!!

Love this restaurant. We go at least once a month. The steaks are perfect and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming! We always take the kids and are still able to enjoy a great dinner with great service. It's perfect for the whole family or a romantic dinner for two.

Such a disappointment! We have driven by this restaurant for a few years and always wanted to go. Today we were celebrating my parent's 63 wedding anniversary and decided to try it. We were seated by an unfriendly server and then she came back and took our drink and food order. There were only a handful of customers and about 20 flies. We waited and waited and waited for our food. Not one person in the restaurant had their meals. I asked about it and they said there was a big party that got there before us. I had to ask for bread because I was very hungry. The server said our food was coming up but came back with the bread a few minutes later. I said "it's not ready" and she said "no" and walked away. The food finally came an hour and fifteen minutes after we ordered it. We only had sandwiches so that is really a long time to wait. It was okay but certainly not worth the wait. The restaurant is old and dark. The tables are made out of press board. I didn't really feel the Old Vegas Charm. Maybe the service is better at dinner time but we will never know because we will not return.

A throw back to days gone by. Nothing new just good old fashioned wonderful charred meat served to order perfectly hot and fresh. Salad dressings are house made. Blue cheese comes with crumbles. Try the parmigiana potatoes. Great value in a town gone wild for Nuevo cuisine. Off the main road but worth the drive. Don’t expect exotic wines but drinkable inexpensive choices par with big juicy meats. Great bar too.

This is becoming our "go to" restaurant for dinner, when visiting family in Las Vegas. Quality steaks and seafood at a reasonable price. A little out of the way, but well worth the trip! Servers are always efficient and friendly.

Can't believe it took us 11 years of living here to find this place! My brother discovered it a while back and we finally made the trip with him to celebrate his birthday. Definitely one of the best steaks I've ever had - and my husband really enjoyed his rack of ribs. Casual atmosphere - funky decor - really kind of a throw-back. Prices are reasonable - especially when you are getting a full meal - not just an overpriced piece of meat with everything else a la carte! This is definitely going to become one of our special occasion destinations!

One of my favorite restaurants for steak in Las Vegas is very hard to find unless you are a local and have been here for a long time. I remember Bob Taylor's when the front of the restaurant was a swimming pool. Some things have changed; but not the quality of the food or the service. If you want a great steak with that wood burning grill flavor and maybe just a touch of salt and pepper; this place is for you. No fancy sauces or entrees; just great food and terrific service. The old ranch house has seen better years; but the food has never been better. Oh, and try the twice-baked potatoes, just the way you like them. We had my birthday dinner there, and couldn't have been happier. Shrimp cocktail, like I remember, crispy salad, cheesy bread and the perfect steak made for a perfect evening. Take the effort to find this wonderful place you'll remember for years to come.

Great steaks with in an old ranch house. Decorations are what you would expect, John Wayne and a lot of old Cowboy pictures. Food is great as well as the service. Perfect for a relaxing meal.

Service and food were excellent. A little pricy for what you get, but overall the atmosphere and food were great!

THI IS ONE OF THE OLDEST Steak restaurants in Las Vegas and the best food and atmosphere if you want to experiance old Vegas this is the place !!!

Always wanted to try this local establishment that has been here since 1955; we decided to go there with family on a Sunday evening, had cocktails while we waited and they were mixed to perfection. Our dinner was everything we hoped for and more....the bread is excellent and steaks just wonderful; your mouth will begin to water the minute you park your car. Service was could have been faster, had to wait for additional cocktails, need more servers as place was packed. Food was excellent; however prices are a bit high for the area; it's not the strip. Will return again

clean, pleasant atomosphere, service was friendly and knowlegiable, food was excellent! We have visited this reastraunt at least a dozen times and have never been disappointed.

Go back in time to red checkered table cloths and family dining. Good, honest, delicious food in a very casual setting. One of my fav's

Meat is cheap quality. Rib eye was fatty, grisly and cold. Filet flavorless and cold. Baked potatoes were cold. Dinner salads were a handful of store salad kits and a couple tomatoes. Filet tips were tough and cheap like steak trimmings. Cheezy bread was burnt on one side with a crusty cheese spread and plain white store bread on the other. We had made reservations for a birthday. They forgot and tried to recover with a glass of ice cream, chocolate sauce and a candle. Party of four with three cocktails and tip. $230. It would have been OK if the food had been proper. Server Nick was good considering what he was working with.

The food and service were excellent, and we would difinitely return the next time we are in Las Vegas. We paid with a gift card and left a cash tip. We were disappointed to find out that our waitress Nicole, gave herself an additional $23.00 tip from the gift card without informing us. We were a party of 8, and if there were any additional costs, we should have been informed. We need to have the other members of our party check their credit card statemehnts.

It has been a few years since I visited, and it really hadn't changed much but that is part of the charm. I moved to Las Vegas in the late seventies, so I have seen a lot of places come and go, but this place has endured and for good reason, you can get a great steak with all the extras and not break your wallet. I do suggest that you make reservations, because it is a way off the beaten path, but well worth the drive. I came especially for the smoked prime rib, so very good, and rest of my party had steaks and no one was disappointed nor did they leave hungry.

My wife and I both grew up in Las Vegas and ate here exactly one time, about 25 years ago. We decided, on a whim, that it was time to go back. Now I ask why we don't come here more often. Great steak, plus the price includes soup or salad and potato choice. Everything about the restaurant takes you back, including the excellent service. The food, as well as the prices, are wonderful. Truly one of the few iconic places left in Las Vegas!

--If you're one of the locals that helps keep this place open, YOU are responsible for the rotten infrastructure of this country, and YOU are keeping America from being great again. .....I kid you not, Outback and Sizzler are a major step up from this place. ......We had friends in town and we brought them here to show them a bit of old Vegas. We just didn't know how "old" it really would be. First the 'garlic cheese toast': Wonder bread dusted with powder that they heat up. Blurp! Next, we got salads: grossly overdressed iceberg shreds from a bag that even our vegetarian at the table refused to touch. ....Next, the rancid entrees: My 'house smoked chicken' was nothing more than half a baked chicken for $20. It hadn't been even in the same room as a smoker, and had no kind of seasoning. Maybe it was boiled, I have no idea. For $6 I can get a whole better-cooked chicken at Costco. Next, my friends got the ribeye jerky. Yup, that's right. A thin cut piece of gristle with no flavor that the janitor in the kitchen could not cook right, you can see the raw meat in the picture... he thought that was medium. ......Hey, take a look at their version of 'garnish'... the picture has a description. Clearly, it was sneezed out of a cow's nose. ALL of the 'garnishes' on each plate looked just like it... I only wish there were video so I could flop it for you like the soggy piece of cardboard it was. ......Oh, last but not least... ambiance. Take a look at the picture with the wood support post. It looks like a spotlight on the carpet around the post. Nope! That's where the grease and filth of this dump don't get to as much as the rest of this cesspool. The dark and gross carpeting around the light area is what the carpet looks like everywhere else... because they refuse to put a dime of investment into this place. We are talking about a dump that is going to gooey seed. ...STAY AWAY. Do not support this level of decay in Vegas, it keeps this city looking like a hick dump to the top-tier cities in the USA.

My wife and I wanted to celebrate New Year's eve but in a casual way without all of the hustle and bustle of the Strip. We tried Bob's and we are glad we did. Very tasty food, comfortable surroundings and good service. This is certainly a place you if you just want to get out of the traditional Strip Scene.

Bob Taylor's is a charming long time steakhouse very much unlike the usual Vegas steakhouse that every single hotel/casino in Vegas seems to have. The restaurant is located at the end of Rio Vista Street off of Ann Street off of State Route 95 North. Once you turn onto Rio Vista you drive for about a mile on a street lined with walls on either side for the gated communities within. I thought that my Google Maps must have given me wrong directions when right near the end of the street there sits Bob Taylor's Original Ranch House restaurant on the grounds of an old ranch. It was as if going through a window in the Twilight Zone. Everything went well with the meal. The parking lot is unpaved, which fact only adds to the charm. We were warmly greeted by a very pleasant hostess who seated us promptly. Most every table was taken with diners. The waiter was very friendly and welcoming too. He took time to explain the menu and made helpful suggestions. He was very attentive but not intrusive throughout the meal. We ordered the rib eye steak and twice baked potatoes. I think the last time I had twice baked potatoes was the 90's, but after enjoying the large twice baked offering from Bob's I am wondering why you don't find them on a menu much anymore. It was delicious. The steak was done just as ordered and it was delicious as well. The meal came with bread and salad, both of which were enjoyable. It was a very nice way to celebrate Fathers' Day and we will return for a birthday celebration in November.

So I was looking forward to treating my guest to a new spot in Vegas that none of us had been to before. Seen the social media hype so I was excited! We had two appetizers that we shared, the 1/2 rack of ribs and the buffalo wings. The wings were definitely freezer burnt!! They were bad! The 1/2 rack of ribs were well done to the point of being over done and smothered in thick layer of BBQ sauce. I’d say they were just ok, but not good! Lastly we all have the ribeye Philly cheese steak sandwich’s and we all had the backed potatoes because the fryer was down. The backed potatoes were cold… they were not hot!! The sandwich was ok, it was the best thing that we had, but that does not say much given what was served. They have been in business since 1955, so I kind think they must be doing something right, however on the day we had lunch they missed the mark on everything!! I can’t say I will be back nor would I recommend this spot!

Welcome to the reason Las Vegas is rated a cesspool for fine dining. Bob Taylor's somehow manages to stay open despite the vilest food, lousiest service, and filthiest dining room in the area. We unfortunately went there with friends from out of town, wanting to give them a 'locals' experience'. Well, we did: BARF CENTRAL. Even the salads were bad with discolored lettuce and grossly overdressed sugary dressing. The 'smoked chicken' came from a package, and certainly was never smoked, and every piece of meat from filet to NY strip was tough jerky that was insanely overcooked. The garnishes on the plates were limp and, shall we say, 'well aged'. The dining room floor is greasy filth, with the carpet not having been cleaned or changed for at least a decade, as evidence by the light patches around every fixed table and pole and then the dark sea of grease deepening as you get further from them. I have to wonder what their grading is with the health department. This place should have shut down years ago, but the loyal clientele that has utterly no taste keeps it open somehow.

We’ve been eating here since our first date back in 1994. Now celebrating with our two boys. One for college graduation and other for 21st birthday. Unfortunately, it’s been on a steady decline over the years. My son had to step on a spider that was crawling up his leg under the table. I asked hostess to remove it. My Diet Coke was flat, asked for new one but nobody changed CO2, so it was still flat. My husbands baked potato was black and crispy. One of our cocktails was straight gin, since the Bartendar wasn’t familiar how to make a proper negroni. The flies were dive-bombing the table all night. The parlor style chairs were so uncomfortable. It was one thing after another and was sad. Jeff really needs to put some money in the place. I’m hoping, if we decide to come back, it improves.

Been a Vegas resident for almost 5 years now and have always heard how great this place is. As a result I went in with high expectations. It lived up to all those expectations and then some. If you are looking for a fancy, upscale, strip-style setting, don't go here and then leave it a bad review. That isn't what this place is. The building dates back to when it was the only thing in this part of town. It is a barely paved parking lot. It still has the same wood-panelled walls it had when it was serving the likes of John Wayne and other Hollywood western stars. The menu is spectacular. Short sweet and to the point. A good variety of steak, a few seafood options, a handful of chicken options, pork chops, ribs and a couple pastas. All of which are cooked to perfection. If you wanna go where Vegas locals have escaped the strip for a good steak this is the place. If you want the strip, go to the strip.

This is a blast from the past. The server was friendly and efficient. The STEAK was good and grilled to perfection. The veggies were EXCELLENT!

This place rocks. Been there 20 times (or more) and never been disappointed. Had to wait a few times, but the better off-the-strip local restaurants are packed usually at dinner time. Steaks, ribs, chicken BBQ's or grilled are always tender and tasty. Going there again, 2nd time this year, Nov.1 with a party of 8 and we all love this unique Vegas place to chow with family and friends.

First off this is indeed a different type of steak then you would find at one of the fancy steakhouses on the strip. These steaks are cooked over open fire and are amazing. They are more like ones you get in your own backyard versus the seared type found on the strip. The sides are very good as well. The salad is something uninspiring as it was bagged salad with a few tomatoes, onions and croutons added. Soup was good and the chocolate cake for dessert was great. Priced like the strip but an open fire cooked steak versus a baked steak. As far as I am concerned as long as the tourists do not know about this place I will keep coming back.

I’ve heard my friend talk about this place before but he finally took us there for dinner. What an amazing place. The menu is extensive which makes it hard to choose from because it all looks and sounds so good. It’s definitely worth going too even though the prices are a bit higher than what I would consider reasonable. But the atmosphere, service and tastes are worth it. Check it out for yourselves.

After a 20 year absence from eating at what was once one of the best steak houses in Las Vegas, we were very disappointed. My dad had to send his steak back twice and then settled for a less than good cooked steak. They forgot to bring a side order that we ordered and then brought it so late that we couldn't eat it. This was once a premier restaurant in Las Vegas but seems to have lost it's touch.

GREAT vibe, decor, and steaks. Five of us celebrated two family members birthdays. A MUST see. A bit pricey but we are talking CLASSIC Vegas. Well worth the trip off the Strip.

This steakhouse is a hidden gem in Vegas... The steaks are outstanding, the service is great, very clean...atmosphere is very relaxed.. The smoked prime rib is excellent!

I'm unclear, is this a restaurant or an outlet for the local dog food factory? I understand how the yokels of Vegas would think this is good, they are lacking any kind of discriminating taste (that's why all the known restaurants are near the Strip... only the out of town tourists can recognize good food). However, this place is really, really bad. Meat for all people at our table was cooked medium-raw regardless of what was requested, and the gristle-factory they use as a supplier would be better if they simply replaced it with Costco. Service was nice, but the restaurant is FILTHY. Someone else posted a picture of their disgusting uncleaned flooring, so who knows what's in the kitchen. Sides were awful, even the potatoes were dry and overbaked. I would wonder how this place stays open, but I know for a fact it's because Vegas locals are transient nightshift workers who will shove any fast food c@rp in their mouths, so this place probably seems upscale to them. I was dragged here by friends in town to get a taste of 'old Vegas'. They meant "old chewy impossible to digest" Vegas. If you live here, go for it! If you're from out of town, go to Burger King instead.

This steakhouse is a jewel in the middle of development. Very busy with great service and outstanding steaks. Atmosphere is relaxed and casual.

Absolutely amazing place. A little difficult to find but worth the journey. We typically would have had turkey on thanksgiving but we kept looking at others ordering their mesquite prime rib. Do good. We have eaten prime rib in many places. None better than here. Jill was our server and she was great. Completely made the experience. We will be bsvk

Our party of 6 (with reservations at 6 p.m.) celebrated my adult daughter's birthday last night at Bob Taylor's Original Ranch House, which has been there for longer than I have been a resident of Clark County, Nevada (that is well over 50 years). While some recently reviewed this restaurant as providing "hit and miss" service, our experience was a definite hit! Wine selections are limited but all are good, and the prices were more than reasonable. I understand this restaurant also will allow diners to bring in their own wine for a corkage fee of $9.00, which is substantially less than any other such charge I have found in Clark County. All in my party reported excellent meals, and this restaurant is one of the few where the chefs know how to grill a steak to my liking. The price of my 8-ounce filet mignon was $29.99, which included soup/salad and side (I chose baked potato); in fact, the entire cost of our meal (including 2 bottles of wine) with tax was about $306 for our party of 6. Our server, Jennette, provided excellent service, was attentive and informative, without being overbearing. I live in Henderson (located on the other side of the valley to the southeast), which is why I haven't patronized this restaurant in a while. This dining experience reminded me coming here is well worth the drive, and we will be back again soon.

Went there for Valentine's Day dinner. They had a limited menu, which is fine as they were fully booked. Frankly, while the prices were decent for a LV steakhouse, the quality of the food was nothing to write home about. Salad made with iceburg, but had plenty of other toppings, and the blue cheese dressing was very good. The crabcakes were too 'wet' with whatever liquid filler they used, and while they were home-made, just too salty and rich. The steak was okay, cooked properly, but a tad tough? (NY strip). All of their steaks are handcut and large. The twice baked potato was bordering on cold, and was very very wet and too rich - tasted like sour cream and cheese and no potato. The one cocktail was nothing special either. The price was $150 for two on Valentines day. Service was fine. The ambiance is ranch-house all the way. They had booths and tables. The chairs at tables were not very comfortable. I think this place is great for the older generation, those who like big portions and those who prefer value for the $. You want to get your 'meat' on, it's good.

No reservations on a Saturday night, but they offered us a seat at the bar. Cool interior, not fancy, but great for a throwback vibe. Bartender was great, super friendly and attentive. Good selection of bottled beer, few on tap. Food was great. I had the salad to start, best Bleu Cheese dressing I have ever had, made in house. Twice baked potato was a treat and I had the full rack of BabyBack Ribs and my dinner mate had the Prime Rib…both were spot on! Cheesecake and chocolate cake for desserts…both great! Prices were a delight as compared to casino steakhouses…. It will be our new go-to restaurant when we have house guests.

Our first time there, and for lunch today. We were the only table in the 1.5 hours we were there. We waited a lengthy time for our food and our server disappeared once the last lunch was delivered. All three lunches came out at different times and our appetizer was forgotten. We were never asked if we wanted dessert. When we finally got our check we waited a good 10 minutes for the server to come get our money and finally took it to cash out in the bar. The food was nothing special, all the hype about this nostalgic restaurant was long gone. A huge disappointment and we will never return or recommend.

Went here on a recommendation from a friend while in town for shot show. Had the 12oz NY strip. It was cooked perfectly. The potatoes were really good. Had the broccoli cheddar soup which was super good as well. They warm garlic cheese bread was also super good. Will definitely be back next time in town.

I still crave the smoked prime rib I had at Bob Taylor's. Additionally, the salad was very fresh, and the rolls were warm and wonderful. After dinners in the Strip and associated casinos, we really enjoyed something different and authentically old Las Vegas. A good place to eat.

We visited the establishment over 7 years ago and vowed not to come back. We received a gift card and tried it again. Unfortunately, nothing has changed :-( The ambiance is still wonderful and charming. The prices have definitely increased. My filet mignon was very good but my wife ordered a rib eye medium rare that came medium well. The staff member took the steak back and returned with a medium rare steak that was easily over 50% fat and tasteless. The staff member returned and asked how the steak was, probably expecting a positive response, and we informed her that it was awful. She asked what we would like and my wife requested a filet mignon like me. That steak was fine but it took quite a bit of time to cook. You would think there would be some sort of apology but there wasn't. When the bill came, they had upcharged us to the filet. I guess there's nothing wrong with that but most of our experience is that when a restaurant performs this poorly they do some sort of adjustment to the bill. Nothing!!! It's unquestionably an iconic place with tons of charm, but fails miserably with their customer service and performance.

I would not eat here again I ordered the prime rib it was served to me cold , I tried to pour the Auju on it to warm it up . It was so tough I could barely cut it and when I finally was able to cut a piece and taste it it had a chemical taste to it . I know it says smoked but this was not a Smokey taste it was a chemical taste . This is the third time I’ve tried this place in the last couple of years and all three times is wasn’t good but I wanted to give it one more try because it’s been around so long and I always remember it being so good when I was a kid . But it no longer is good . There are a lot better places to eat .

Saw great reviews for this place, and it did not disappoint! My husband had a ribeye, and it was cooked as ordered, and was delicious! The twice baked potatoes were also good, and the salads were large and fresh, and the house dressing very good!!! I had the bbq beef tips, and they were tender and flavorful. No room for dessert! We both enjoyed the western motif with the John Wayne picture over the huge fireplace. Would be frequenting this p!ace if we were locals. The prices were reasonable for steaks of this caliber, especially as there was no additional charge for the salad and potatoes. The bar area was also very homey with a TV, and the entrance and outside had very quaint western landscaping.

Delicious steaks in an old Vegas style ranch house restaurant on the outskirts of town. Enjoy the Texas Toast, but save room for the main course! Order the filet! Everything was cooked to perfection and the service was impeccable.

Decent steaks and hometown cooking. Most of the food is actually good and prices reasonable for "steakhouse" fare and comes without the attitude or frills. Decent service. Downsides: Hard to find location and (dumpy) ranch setting (looks like a real ranch). Avoid Chicken Cordon Bleu (mine was burnt) as it's just "chicken fried" cutlet.

We were recommended this place by a local gentleman. I’m sure that he has had great experiences but our was on the contrary. I made reservations and we got there a bit early. Sat at the bar and had a drink. The hostess sat us then at our table. The waitress took our orders. A different waiter brought me my salad and it went downhill from there. The waitress came back and we asked for more drinks and she brought one but not the other. We didn’t even get water. We saw her cone and go for almost 1.5 hours until she finally stoped by our table to notify us that the kitchen lost our ticket. We spent over two hours theee and left hungry. Service all over Vegas is like this!

Food was great, service was awesome, well worth the drive out of the hustle and buslte. You need good directions or someone who has been here before to have confidence that you are going to a restaurant and not to the middle of nowhere.

Best ribeye ever. Flavorful and tender and cooked to perfection. Great waitress named Cory. Excellent service and casual atmosphere. Unlike other steakhouses you get garlic cheese bread soup or salad And potato for one price. No ala carte business. This is my new Go To place for great steaks

We were in Vegas for the weekend to visit family. It was my husband's birthday and wanted to go somewhere and get a steak. We were not disappointed. I would come and eat when I was a child and it is still excellent. From the homemade garlic bread, to the steak. Everything was great. Good selection on wine. It is definitely a great place to eat.

I went to this restaurant due to the recommendation of a local resident. If you are looking for a good steak and don't want to pay Vegas casino prices, this is a great place to go. I followed Google Maps to the address listed and found myself in a residential area. I thought for a few minutes I was going to end up at someone's home. The restaurant is rustic looking, like a large cabin. When you enter, you feel like you entered The Ponderosa that was decorated with posters of The Duke and posters of old Western movies. It was like a big ranch house. As soon as you walk in, the full bar is right in front of you. Opposite the bar was a large, open flamed grill that they kept throwing steak after steak on. I waited at the bar area for the others in my party to show up. The female bartender there that night was very friendly and efficient. Once everyone arrived, we were seated in the large dining area in the back. It was well lit and had nice, big tables, so that we had plenty of room and weren't piled in on top of each other. I ordered the crab stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer and the NY Strip Steak for dinner. The mushrooms were awesome and the steak was perfectly cooked. You can choose the size of your steak: the smallest is 6 oz and the largest is 32 oz. My steak came with my choice of various potatoes or vegetable, garlic cheese bread, and soup or salad. Everyone at my table was very happy with their food. I will definitely come back here again.
Smoked Prime Rib and Atmosphere!
Bob Taylor's Ranch House is a glimpse back at what Las Vegas used to be. Nothing corporate here, just a warm atmosphere, with an eye for the details. Think Midwestern Super Club meets Texas Steak House. The smoked prime rib was excellent, but I don't think you could go wrong with the Rib-Eye or Porterhouse either. The side salad with house dressing and cheese bread started the meal off nicely, and I'd strongly recommend the Twice-Baked Potato with your entree. If you are staying on the Strip, use LYFT/Uber for transportation to and from the restaurant. Do NOT take a Taxi.
