My husband and I went for our one year anniversary and the atmosphere is so peaceful and romantic! The steaks were cooked to perfection and the loaf of bread they give you is super yummy!! Unfortunately the frozen had broken the day before so we didn't get any dessert but the meal was filling enough!!

We were sat for dining on our first evening in SFO this being adjacent to the OMNI where we were staying.. The dining experience was mediocre as was the service ..

Dark wood paneled white tablecloth setting and modest selections served in a meat-and-potatoes lets-stick-to-the-basics style . More than adequate portions. Pricy but not fine cuisine. While we really like the Omni Hotel we will likely stick to room service or walk to a more upscale local eatery.

We have been coming to Bob's since 2002. Over these past 16 years we have seen Bob's go up and down.. Yes, just like the stock market. However, we always kept coming back because of the hard workers and the relationships we enjoyed. Tonight took the cake. Our server was not engaged nor attentive to our needs. At one point, we had the 2nd staffers attending to tables asking us if everything was ok. They even had to go and find our server for us to place an order. Finally when the server came, it was quick and short. My wife and I shared a steak and we specifically requested that the steak come out with no pink. Well, it came out with pink. It had to be sent back. As we waited, both dishes came back cold with the exception of the steak. This will be our final visit we pay to Bob's. The Hospitality Industry no longer caters to their guest. It's all about generating revenue at any cost! Sad!! Bob's is not the only steak house in San Francisco. We'll find another place as I have faith that there are venues that still care about their guests. Oh, the servers tip... Well, I gave it to his supporting team members who still care in providing CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Loved the food. They were able to make everything I wanted to my specifications. Wonderful steak and perfectly prepared vegetables.

Bob's has become my "Go To" steak house in San Francisco. It used to be Alfdred's, Now, for excellent Prime beef, prepared perfectly to order along with a menu of traditional appetizers, salads, sides and deserts, this is the best value, despite the $$$$$. Last night we started with the fried calamari appetizer & onion rings, followed by the Wedge, iceberg lettuce salad with blue cheese, tomatoes and bacon bits. Then the entree was the 22 Ounce Prime Bone in Ribeye steak, served with a large steamed carrot and a side of smashed potatoes, accompanied by mushrooms and creamed spinach, followed by a cheesecake desert. The wine list is on a tablet PC, extensive and expensive. I brought my own Jordan cabernet and paid the corkage. An excellent meal and fine service from George the waiter. I'll be back soon!

I have been a customer of Bob's steakhouse for years now. My favorite time to dine here is for dinner. Food: For as long as I remember, there havent been much change to the menu. Straight to the point, simple and most of the food has their own style of cooking. The creamed corn, glazed carrot and lobster tails are cooked and served thats only specific to Bobs. I can always rely on the chef to cook my fave dishes exactly the same each time. I find that at bobs menu every single item i find mouth watering vs at other restaurants i find only few selection i would order. Very big fan of the fillet mignon! Service: Gracious, competent and professional. The waiters are consistent w their service. Their approach always makes me feel like m wining and dining at the finest restaurant. Ambiance: Very traditional. Wood and dim lit. Very romantic especially if you reserve the semi private booths! Havent tried those seats yet but one day! But also very family friendly. During the day, its busy with lunch meeting. They also have a bar across the room thats filled w classy crowd.

We checked into the Omni Hotel pretty late and most of the restaurants nearby were closed, but fortunately we were able to grab a bite to eat at Bob's Bar. The bartender was friendly and the food was delicious. Everything had great flavor, although the fries were a bit over-salted. The portions are a bit on the smaller side and the prices are on par for a high end hotel, so the overall value isn't the best--but know at least you are getting an enjoyable meal.

We enjoyed wonderfully food and service here. Very satisfying and refreshing for this travel-tired sophisticated foodie and family!!

Ate there 4 times during my week stay!!! Great food and service!!! Loved the soup on Friday...,nice for a cold day!!

I had a business lunch here - excellent service. Nice option of salads and sandwiches. Highly recommend the chef salad with crab. Perfect balance of substance, yet still light.

We had breakfast at Bob’s Chop since we were staying at the Omni. The service was professional and friendly. Our breakfasts arrived in a timely manner. Portions are large. But, if you are spending time touring the city, eat up! You will be fortified until the afternoon!

Nicely appointed place associated with the Omni hotel. Takes you back to a time when great hotels had great old restaurants. Well worth a visit.

I used the restaurant for my breakfast. The food was good, made fresh (mostly), the service was sometimes fast and attentive, sometimes not. As it is attached to Omni hotel this was comfortable for me, otherwise I would have chosen another one, because it is SFO and you‘ll spend 50 $ per person for american breakfast, coffee and juice, without tip.

Just sat in the bar, not the restaurant. Tasty appps, good beer. Easy way to go after a full day of siteseeing, since we were staying at the Omni, and not wanting to brave the St. Patrick Day revelers.

We ordered room service while staying at the Omni ~ the burger was overcooked and not very good. The fries were really good ~ but the price of $42 was absurd (especially with so many choices in this beloved city).

Their French fries and chicken sandwich are the very best. I ordered from Room Service twice. I had breakfast in the restaurant one morning, it was okay. I would definitely recommend their food.

Having spent two weeks in America this was far the best restaurant that we have eaten in, and on our last night. The rack of lamb was beautiful. This was no measly portion well cooked and well presented with mash potatoes and a large sweet carrot. It felt better than being back home in England. To finish off we shared a Key Lime Pie. Wow! What a way to finish off dinner. Just perfect. Thank you for such a lovely meal. Your waiter also did you proud. How extremely courtesy he was.

It was a heck of a night at #BobsSteakandChopSF enjoying the hospitality of Executive Chef Thomas Rhodes while tasting RoofTop Honey and Olives, sipping wine from #NapaValley and #SonomaValley before devouring smoked salmon and SteakHouse classics done right - Shrimp Cocktail, Wedge Salad with Blue Cheese and Glorious STEAKS with all of the extras! #Mushrooms, Potatoes, sauces and more (I took a bit of my Prime "Cote de Boeuf" bone-in ribeye home for breakfast). Desserts? Chocolate Cake and classic Cheesecake! We laughed and celebrated and remembered how fortunate we are. A good meal and great friends can make the world right again. - #JoelRiddell #HonigWine #gunbunwine #omnihotels

Took my family here for dinner on our visit to SF. Easy safe walk from the Hilton. We wanted a great meal without going overboard and for 4 it was $450 so nice but not extreme. Despite being the first ones in the dining room at 6 we weren't rushed and the menu had selections for every want. South African Lobster and Steaks were outstanding. Blackened Halibut I'm told was fabulous as I didn't even get a bite of my wife's. Staff was top notch as you would expect from a high end steakhouse. Portions were enormous and the Creme Brûlée was enough for a small family and amazing. We made reservations as it was a Saturday and the dining room did mostly fill so keep that in mind. Would happily go back.

I appreciate staff who know the product they're selling and the staff at Bob's hit the nail on the head when they recommended the porterhouse. You have to be a real meat lover to appreciate one of those and the porterhouse at Bob's is truly an object of beauty. Not to be missed as well is the side of skillet fried potatoes with generous amounts of gravy. Heartily recommended to all genuine carnivores.

My husband and I had dinner here and it was well worth it. The steak were cooked the way you order and was definitely satisfying. I'm not so crazy about the glazed carrot that came with it so I left that one alone. But other than that, service and food were great. Their bar was nice to have a few drinks after walking around doing touristy things.

I enjoyed a nice steak with carrots and spinach as sides. I would most certainly recommend this restaurant that is housed inside of a hotel. This place was recommended to my group and I recommend this today. I will definitely come again when I am back into town. The wait staff were wonderful and knowledgeable of the menu items.

We read this was one of America's great steakhouses. We stayed at the Fairmont and it was a short walk to the restaurant. Loved the unique idea of a jar of pickles on every table. My steak was delicious and we thought they had an excellent wine list.

We were looking for a quiet restaurant for a business meeting and chose Bob's Steak and Chop House. We chose well. We enjoyed the meal itself, a tasty cream of mushroom soup and a variety of entrees for the varying tastes in our group (filet mignon, NY strip, and 1/2 roasted duck). The room was quiet enough for us to discuss our business and the staff gave us space, but was available when we needed them. We'll remember this for a San Francisco meeting place.

Our original plans fell through and we were staying at the Omni, so we figured we'd give Bob's a shot. Kicked things off with dirty martinis and blue cheese olives, then shared the 12oz filet. Steaks were perfectly cooked! We got the potatoes with gravy, which were also very good. Is it just me or is the huge carrot in the middle a little odd? Regardless, I'm always a happy girl when I get a good steak and a martini on a Friday night. If you can, snag a table by the window.

My wife chose to accompany me on a business trip to San Francisco. We stayed at the Omni and decided to dine on site. Bob's is a steak house first and foremost. Not wanting to gorge on a pound of meat the waiter suggested the surf and turf. We ordered a bottle of Saintbury Pinot Noir to go along with the 6 ounce Filet Mignon and half Australian lobster tail. While we enjoyed the meal and wine the tab was twice the cost of the hotel room. I think the next time in SF for a business trip we will go back to some of our favorites.

I was a little nervous going into a steak house when I wanted only a salad and glass of wine. I needn’t have worried. My server was welcoming and I had a lovely dining experience. Thank you to everyone at Bob’s.

Excellent! This is my favorite restaurant in the Financial District. Outstanding food and service. This is one of my first picks when making dinner plans. it has the perfect environment and quality for both business and personal.

Great steak house in hotel with a lively bar attached. Excellent service and steak and sides were perfect.

Second visit to Bob's and this was even better. The first wonderful, this one fabulous. We started off with the onion rings that were in a light batter. As I am a dipping sauce person would have liked that. My fault though as I didn't ask. They were tasty though. Enjoyed a shared cesear salad with my daughter that was accompanied with yummy sour dough french bread. For my main course I had filet oscar. The crab was perfect with a Hollandaise sauce drizzled over the crab and filet. I asked for it rare and it was right on. Also enjoyed a baked potato with the works. Of course enjoyed a nice glass of wine. For dessert we shared a slice of Amaretto Cheesecake which was delightful. Our waiter was great. Quite attentive and had a fun personality. The ambience was so "old San Fran" that made the evening more enjoyable. Needless to say we waddled back to our hotel, but would do this again in a heartbeat! **my daughter had the same as I for dinner and enjoyed it immensly as well.

If you want steak, you have to check out Bob Steak House. The way they cook the steak is screaming DELICIOUS! Make sure you pair it with a glass of wine and indulged yourself with serenity

Good selection of fresh fruit platter, freshly squeezed fruit juices and a great omelette. We included paid breakfast in our room booking and were happy that it was not a buffet breakfast but a la carte so we could order what we wanted.

Was celebrating with family and we stayed at the Omni for a week. Went to Bobs one evening with the expectation it would be good as other restaurants in the chain. This is a horribly managed version of this chain. We were sat next to a table with drunk people wearing shorts, flip flops, and muscle shirts. They were LOUDLY cussing and i saw one couple get up and quickly leave. The waiter just shook his head and did nothing. The manager was "off" for the evening so I guess there was zero leadership. What is really bad is there is a bar attached where they could have partied and cussed all they wanted but this was a terrible example of a "fine" restaurant. Save your money and go right down the street to Tadich Grill - probably the best meal of my life. I will NOT be back at Bob's, ever.

The quality of the food is very good and the atmosphere is very busy with a fun vibe. But very expensive for a basic steakhouse.

We recently had dinner at Bob's. Hugely disappointing. Service was OK but the food was almost comically bad. Presentation was appalling. The quality was equally bad. The lamb my son had was the worst I have ever tasted - simply tasteless and bland. The steaks were all overcooked. We know our steakhouses and have dined at some of the best in the US. Will never return to Bob's.

This is a good pit stop while strolling SF but it is expensive indeed. Well prepared drinks and nice, ambiance... getting better as 5pm approaches.

I would only recommend Bobs , if you are a big meat eater (the meat servers are gargantuan), or if it bad weather and you just cannot be bothered braving the elements while staying at the Omni. It is basic in its presentation. It has mostly over generous portions, it is fairly expensive , and pretty ordinary pub fare. You will leave satisfied but not impressed. The staff are friendly and helpful. San Fransisco offers a cornucopia of eating , so basically you can do better than Bobs. We went around the corner the next night to a Chinese place and ate very well for about half the cost and a lot of flavour.

After not having visited the hotel and restaurant since 5 years, the usher lady recognized and welcomed me. You feel that the staff really cares about people. this would be unbelievable in New York or Paris. The food was (as it was 5 years ago) very good and American, New York steaks with baked or mashed garlic potatoes, seafood, fish of the day. they also serve breakfast and it is very convenient while you are staying at the Omni Hotel. the decoration is also very cosy, wood everywhere, leather chairs, and jazz music.

Good, OK steakhouse with good seats, too empty for the seats they offer (which I find quite common with Steak houses in general). The meat was good, yet not awesome, with a cinnamon carrot that came with it, hence the 3 instead of 4. I did however enjoy the pickles served pre-dinner, that came in a jar on the table. Service was good.

I love my steak and I can absolutely say that this one was fabulous. Be careful because the portion sizes of the sides specifically the onion rings was soooo big and you can fill up on it. The service was as you would expect. Very good. It is pricey so bring your credit card. Still would recommend it.

Arrived fairly late in the evening and this restaurant was in our Hotel (Omni) it was almost closing time so I was kind of concerned we would be rushed or the food might not be its best but that was not the case! Great service, wonderful wedge, and my steak was cooked perfectly! Great beef, flavor etc. The smashed potatoes were awesome too!! A little pricey but it was an amazing dinner!

An excellent special of the day, surf and turf, that was well cooked. But as important, large pour cocktails! A fun dining experience, in a more casual atmosphere. Portions are large and prices aren't cheap - very good steak and lobster though!

We had the best steaks (Filet mignon) ever with excellent smashed patetoes bit the glaced carrot was too sweet due to the honey dressing put on it. What a choise for breakfast and excellent quality:try out the mexican one it is delicious. Quite expensive.

surprisingly good, especially for a hotel restaurant. they also have a limited bar menu. very good dinner.

Variety of steak cuts and great cocktails. Don’t be discouraged if the restaurant is fully booked, there are plenty of space in the bar with the same menu and great service. Recommended

Went here on Mother’s Day for an evening meal. Out of our party we had steaks and lamb chops but didn’t partake in any starters. I can personally recommend the rack of lamb it was well cooked and flavoursome. Other members of my party had the porterhouse and filet mignon they said that both were well cooked (medium rare / medium) and well seasoned. The only downside for us all was the bobs chophouse signature carrot which was much too sweet. The sides of smashed potatoes and skillet fried potatoes in peppercorn gravy were very good. Well worth a visit.

We stayed at the Omni, so this was an easy choice for breakfast. Expensive, but really nice. Great service, the dining room is impressive with lots of old wood and windows on the street. Good space between tables, you aren't shoved against other people and can have a quiet conversation.

I researched restaurants before our recent trip to San Francisco. This one caught my eye and so I made reservations for my husband and me for a Sunday evening dinner around 6:30. We walked there from our hotel...an easy 14 minute walk. We were professionally greeted upon arrival and shown to our table right away. Our server was prompt, professional and attentive. Our meal, which we shared, a salad and the large filet mignon was fabulous. We never felt rushed and enjoyed our meal. There were a couple of families and others in the restaurant when we arrived. By the time we left, the restaurant was almost full.

I contemplated 4 stars, but went all in. I could not find 1 single thing that I was not happy with. Food was excellent. The Bob martini was excellent and the service was outstanding. If you stay at the onmi I'd make this my spot.

The baked potato is a meal in itself the service very good we had Christie as our server she wa pleasant and patient rib eye excellent restaurant ambiance nice I would definitely go again!

Chose mainly as one of the few steakhouses open after 930 as had late meeting. Greeted politely even though late and service was friendly through out. Smallish wine list presented on iPad but reasonable options and pricing. Steak was well cooked and the room provides a pleasant environment. New York strip $49. Others around $60 for more expensive options.

I’ve only had breakfast here a few times and enjoyed whatever I ordered without exception. Especially the muffin/crab cake egg Benedict and the breakfast quesadillas were very good. Prices are relatively reasonable and the service is good.

Had dinner alone one night while awaiting other family members arriving in the hotel the next morning. Fine wine, and the best shrimp cocktail I have ever had. My dinner consisted of the shrimp cocktail, bleu cheese wedge salad, sourdough bread, and a yummy wine. It was a great way to spend a relaxing dinner after a full day of tiring travel. Very enjoyable!!

Great filet cooked just right. They actually gave you bread, giant carrot and massive loaded baked potatoe with the meal. It was quiet and an excellent meal. The key lime pie for dessert was excellent.

I have an extremely restricted diet and staff went out of the way to accommodate me, Food is excellent with good size portions.

I had the steak here and it was AMAZING!! very full of flavor and cooked just as you ordered. Nice setting, perfect for a nice date!

I searched good steak house in SF and most sites recommend it and visited 2PM time. But, lunch menu is limited and steak price feels higher than others. It is located at financial center so, it may be hard to get parking space. Fortunately, food taste was not disappointed.

My wife and I stopped in with friends while wandering around SF. The bar sits in the OMNI hotel on California - a great location close to the cable cars, the financial district and Chinatown. The staff is friendly and helpful and they have a decent wine selection by the glass. The atmosphere is clean and airy but has an old San Francisco feel to it. Overall, a very nice place to stop for a drink or a quick bite while exploring SF.

This restaurant had a large bar where you can order off the full menu The service was fantastic and the food delicious Very large portions Good wine by the glass selection Would recommend this over Morton’s or Ruth Chris Dinner and drinks about $225 with tip for 2

Service was wonderful and food was excellent. Full bar. Husband had the steak and he absolutely loved it.

Bob’s Steakhouse offered an excellent lunch with a soups, salad, filet mignon and a dessert. They came in a single plate. Everything was very tasty. Highly recommended.

Had high hopes for this known steak place. Restaurant is easy access. Simplicity as part of the ambience but lacking service since we got there. Honestly, a services venue full of pompous waiters and assistants. As heard from our table, first and last time we visit it. Steak was not cooked correctly. Had the tomahawk yet was cooked so fast, the fat did not melt properly. We were waited on by a truly rude waiter. Our overall dining experience tarnished fue to service. the highlight of the night was the blue cheese lettuce wedge... pretty darn good! San Francisco is packed with options, Do yourself a favor... choose a different venue if you are up for steak. We won’t be coming back to this one!

I chose this hotel because of the positive reviews on Bob’s steak house but it was definitely a let down. I think the cost of the steak would have been better spent at a real steak house, instead of this poor excuse. The potatoes were quite good but everything else was pretty poor. I also made the mistake of eating breakfast here, even though the wait staff is much more pleasant in the morning, the sausage is barely edible. The eggs are pretty good though but $6 for pretty crappy coffee is silly when the coffee choices are great around the corner in three places.

Visited Bob's as a recommendation from my sister. She's tried many steak houses in the City but said Bob's was the best she's ever had. So we went to try it and boy was she right!!! When we arrived the door man to the Omni was pleasant and asked us if it was our first time to the restaurant. He gave us a recommendation as to what what his favorite at Bob's. We decided to take his advice and we did not regret it. We ordered the t-bone steak and filet mignon. The food was prepared exactly to our specifications and it was tastefully seasoned. The side dishes we selected were also yum!! From the door man, the valet service staff, the maitre d'hotel to the wait staff, everyone was very nice and professional. We have found our special restaurant and will definitely be coming back!

We visited the bar a couple times during our stay and not only were the cocktails and wine tasty, the food was good was well. The staff was above excellent and went out of their way to provide advice on places to go in San Fran. We will be back

We stayed at the Omni, so we chose Bob's more for convenience than anything else. So glad we did!!! We had steak and lobster for dinner and it was delicious. Seriously, the steak melted in my mouth! The portion size for the steak, as well as the side dishes, was very generous. The fresh, moist, carrot cake we ordered for dessert was huge! We also ate breakfast at Bob's a couple of mornings. Once again, so glad we did. We had the eggs benedict one day and an omelet the next. Both were outstanding! I can't recommend Bob's enough!!! Go! You'll be glad you did.

We enjoyed a very good local wine recommended by the waiter and our food was very good. Restaurant was clean and not overly noisy. We very much enjoyed our meal.

Pretty average. Open dining area lacks character. A bit pricey for my overcooked steak. Wines were also on the high priced side hot the quality, compared to other comparable eateries. Probably wouldn't rush back.

Excellent steak house. Very friendly invirement and excellent breakfast. Price is mid not cheap or very expensive.

For the money it’s great, don’t get me wrong the food is great no complaints. The location excellent. The service also excellent. The steak cooked perfect, just not the best piece of meat but still very enjoyable. Everything else was aces. Definitely a staple in the city.

My husband and I enjoy a lovely meal and don't mind paying for quality. When we visited this restaurant it was later, after a long day tour around the city. The menu selection was good, but the prices were on the high side. We did enjoy the dill pickles on the table and the full loaf of bread that accompanied the meal. I enjoyed my salad ($12) and my husband said his salmon was very good ($38) as was his appetizer, Caesar salad ($12). With two glasses of wine, two salads and one entree our bill was $128. So be aware of this. Would we go again, yes, would we recommend, yes, but only for lunch or dinner. The breakfast prices were just too over the top ($25 for an omelette - we ate outside of the hotel for breakfast)

The Bar has a Very Deep Pour, there is no need to order a double; unless of course... I am a top shelf bourbon drinker (Neat). The do a 3+ ounce serving; no double needed.

Service a bit tardy but food -properly prepared and delicious. Key lime pie very tasty. Drinks are expensive.

Bobs in not one of those modern fancy steak houses with dark lighting and beautiful servers and sommeliers. It is an old school steakhouse with good food at good prices. Very close to downtown so very accessible. This was my second visit And I will be back.

Enjoyed the food but overall its a bit pricey and not the top / best overall vibe vs. Alexanders or even other more traditional Steak Houses (ie. Mortons)

Bob's is located in the Omni Hotel and it's a great place for breakfast. We had the Breakfast Quesadilla, which was eggs, ham, chorizo, and vegetables in a spinach tortilla. it's served with a bowl of fruit. It was simply too much to eat! It was delicious, and the salsa was fresh and obviously house-made. All in all, a great place to go for breakfast even if you're NOT staying in the Omni

I stayed at the Omni for a week in early July and enjoyed having breakfast here a couple of times. Delicious food, outstanding coffee, and really excellent service. it's pricey but that's the case with all hotel breakfasts. My American Breakfast was enough to feed a small army with eggs, some of the best bacon I've ever had, sourdough bread (of course!), potatoes, and fruit. Delicious and a great way to start the day!

We had been on a all day tour of Monterey so we got back to the Omni fairly late. We had been looking for a quickie dinner before turning in but we were surprised to find most places in the financial district closed up tighter than a drum on Sunday night. So we settled a little reluctantly on Bob's because we had looked at their menu a couple of days earlier and found the prices a little high. Having said that the restaurant was very nice and quiet and the food was excellent. The staff were attentive without being intrusive which was good because we needed to relax after a long day. All in all a very fine meal if a little pricey.

Best steak salad I have ever had. Really delicious. Steak cooked exactly as I asked. The bread was delicious as well. They bake themselves. Carrot cake wedge was huge. Also house made. I had a light working lunch planned, but the cake was so huge awesome and I couldn't even finish it. Atmosphere was busy but not loud. I was staying at The Omni San Francisco so Im glad I was right here to discover it in my hotel.

The steaks was cooked to perfection. The mash potatoes, baked potatoes, onion rings amazing. The staff was IDGAF and took awhile with our to go order (we stayed at the Omni). Overall the food was excellent.

Great after a long day to unwind...they had very friendly service and an awesome selection of wines.

$92 is quite steep for breakfast for 2 people. The waiter was charming. My grapefruit was cut into slices, like a tomato, which made it a little difficult to eat.

Great service and food and a really nice atmosphere. I had an early dinner so the place was pretty quiet. The glazed carrot that came with my meal was exceptional.

Ordered the cote de bouef, an excellent and BIG peace of meat perfectly cooked. Served with a a carrot.....a bit odd, but it did not disturb the perfect dish. Service very competent and to the point. Pricy as one would expect in this part of SF.

Quick lunch after a long business meeting morning. I had only a grilled chicken sandwich with French fries. The quality of the bread, the avocado inside and the crispy bacon with the chicken breast made my day. Also the rest of the menu seemed really gorgeous but for time restriction we couldn't taste it. Next time....reason why I gave only 3 stars and not for...

And wonderful breakfast. Never a bad meal from morning to night. Try the pancakes and any steak on the menu. You won't be disappointed.

Staying at the hotel and after a long day of air travel was hoping for a nice enjoyable dinner. Not to be!! There were quite a few large tables occupied by the loudest people all vying to be heard. Not totally their fault as the cavernous open design of the dining room reverberates all sound. My wife and I literally had to shout at each other to be heard, which I presume just added to the din. Don't go here for a romantic table for two. They have a large jar of pickles and roasted peppers on the table, which is strange, but the peppers were good even if tainted with pickle juice. The loaf of bread is hot and crispy but devoid of any flavor. The steaks were excellent and cooked as requested. The large carrot was quite tasty and the skillet potatoes and onion side was good. A side of roasted Brussels sprouts were fair. The service was prompt and quick, even if the server was a little brusque, but he did well considering the tables he was handling plus the noise level which made it hard for him to communicate. In summary, an OK place for dinner, but there must be steakhouses in town with a better atmosphere.

we had a quick meal on the bar side of things but ordered from the real menu and were satisfied. It was what we needed- a good, convenient meal!

I came here twice - once for breakfast and once for drinks before dinner elsewhere. For breakfast, I ordered the steak and eggs. Great portion. The steak was a little under seasoned in my opinion, but it was still delicious. Perfectly cooked to the temperature I wanted. At the bar, they have a great selection of cocktails as well as beer & wine. A little pricey but it's a steakhouse so it was exactly what I expected. Great place for a cocktail before a night out.

Went to Bob’s for breakfast for a first time. Needed s great meal at 7 am. Many prior meals were great dinners and a few lunches, all steaks were superb. Lovely hostess seated us right away and the server was great and professional. All meals were cooked to excellence and nice a presentation. Overall a nice breakfast indeed.

I asked my hotel for a recommendation for someplace it's ok to dine solo and have a great steak...Bob's was the choice. The restaurant is cozy and quiet, but had a very popular bar scene. I never felt uncomfortable and the staff was very attentive and had great suggestions. Their drink list is fun too, it's on an iPad! I had the filet minon Oscar style and it was to die for! Comes with s baked potato and a carrot the size of my forearm! Delicious!!! When I left they surprises me with a box of macaroons, yum! I cannot wait to come back!!!

Our doorman Darryl recommended this restaurant he said they served the best steak around. He was right. The steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The mashed potatoes were great as well. Do have one of the pickles that are sitting in a crock on the table they were fabulous.

Breakfast was good, service was good but the prices, We as 3 person paid above 100 which was very high. Not suggestible because of prices.

A very pleasant dinner experience. I had the daily special. The steak was cooked to my satisfaction. No complaiants about the food. It took awhile for the kitchen to get the food out to us. It was two hour dinner. A little ove priced, in my opinion. Our waitor was vert attentive and professional (Sterling was his name)

Nice atmosphere , waitress was nice, food okay, could have been better. But loved the "oscar" added to the steak. Asparagus were cooked perfectly. Quite pricey for what you get

We had a wonderful experience here. We were jet lagged and tired and the staff were wonderful. Attentive and friendly. The steaks were awesome some of the best we have ever eaten and the ambience really warm and classic. Whether a business traveller or on vacation this is a great place to be and we would definitely return!

Always an easy choice when starting at the Omni in SF. Great breakfasts. Salads. Steaks You won’t be disappointed.

My husband and I took some cIients from out of town (Texas and Russia) to Bob's, as they said they wanted STEAK. We don't generally go anywhere for steak, but we were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was lovely and waitstaff very helpful. We ordered Fried Calamari appetizer which was very good. My husband and I shared a delicious mixed green salad with apples, pecans and goat cheese. Everyone ordered different types of steaks and all said they were superb. The gentleman from Russia said this was far superior to the one he just had in New York City, the best he's ever had! I had the Veal Porterhouse Chop which was delicious. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a quality piece of meat in a nice atmosphere.

A solid choice with good food. Friendly service but still quite formal in the presentation. Well appointed room.

Yes it’s pricey but no more so than any restaurant connected with a luxury hotel. Food and cocktails were delicious (and no skimping on alcohol). Bar scene was jumping. A great option to treat yourself.

I had a really nice dinner experiencie at this steakhouse. The waiter was so kind and gave me a great service! I think it was the best attention i had in San Francisco. The food was also delicious, very nice presentation and tasty.

This is a really good restaurant for business lunch. My filet was cooked perfectly. The food came up quick and the staff was friendly. Centrally located location makes this an easy restaurant to get to no matter what building you're in. I highly recommend.

We ate here as a group of six recently and the service was excellent, as were the steaks. The lobster tail was tough and overcooked, unfortunately. I almost never order lobster when I'm eating out, unless I am at an excellent restaurant, as it usually is overcooked. I was hoping for better, but left disappointed. Prices are on the very high side as well.

I really enjoyed this ribeye. Having a big giant carrot plunked down in the middle of my plate was kinda weird. Obviously I'm from out of town, so a $15 weak drink was kind of a shocker. Mashed potatoes were fantastic.

The food was excellent and perfectly cooked. The waiting staff were attentive and helpful at all times. I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone visiting San Francisco.

Perfectly located, this classic steak house serves great meat in a classic and pleasant atmosphere. The staff is very attentive to the client and the service is perfect. The prices are very affordable and all was perfect and efficient. We have appreciated the place that is also accessible from the Omni hotel lobby which is very nice and welcoming, so are the staff members inside it. Definitely a place where we will come back again.

If staying at the Omni, this is the restaurant connected to it. Had a breakfast which was quite delicious. They offer numerous options for different dietary restrictions. Service was very attentive, as in they kept the coffee coming without having to sit and wait for refills.

I had a 16oz fillet mignon topped with crab meat and hollandaise sauce which comes with a jacket potato and asparagus. The steak was excellent but I was a bit taken a back at the cost...$90 for a steak with no drinks or extra sides!

In the Omni hotel. Very good service. Breakfast and the coffee were very good. I ended up having the “bone-in-ham” (with eggs) - which was stellar.

Three of us went to Bob's this evening. It's located in the Omani hotel, and unfortunately it feels like a hotel restaurant more than an upmarket steak restaurant. Utterly soulless. The food is good, no question, and the steaks are large. The service is great but the presentation feels like it's still the 1980s.

The steak was cooked to perfection, but everything was very heavy. I suppose some people may like this.

Staying in the Omni Hotel and the restaurant is worth a visit. Salads are good sized and tasty. Warm bread is a nice touch and the butter was really good. Steaks are good and the Salmon was a good alternative. Service was very attentive.

This is a part of the Omni hotel where I was staying. I had breakfast and dinner. Likely because it is in the financial district the prices are high. both the wines and the food were above average for such a place. The staff is very accommodating with dietary needs even though this is basically a steak place. They really love their bread, but it is white and heavy bread and they use a lot of it. If you ike steak and money is no object this is the right place.

This is the Restaurant situated in the Omni Hotel which I have just reviewed. The food and service here is wonderful but be prepared for large servings !! 😋

Wandered in off the streets with no idea what to expect. Decided to eat in the bar, as we literally did just wander in. Sweet waitress, Allesandra (?) attended to our every need, and her kindness and efficient service made the food even better. My companion declared his steak "Excellent" and my burger was good too. We splurged and ordered a bread pudding to share...it was good. Not great. But still yummy. Clean and cozy, fun to sit and people watch as you sip your cocktail. I would eat here again.

Food and service were beyond 5 star. Amazing dinner on our last day staying at the Omni. Tenderloin was cooked to perfection and their tomato mozzarella is amazing. So is the size of their dessert portion! Relaxing dinner and then just had to ride an elevator to our room. Of course we stopped at Bob’s Bar for a nightcap and to say goodbye to the wonderful servers there.

We ate here while staying at the Omni. Huge portion sizes and a very nice meal with good wine selection. Reasonably priced.

Mostly I have eaten breakfast here. Had dinner it was excellent. Breakfast or brunch is always just spectacular. Love the place.

What a beautiful place to partake of absolutely delicious fare! The service is impeccable from beverages to aparatiffes. Beverages were on point BUT the best was yet to come. The crab meat was sweet and tender. I enjoyed a tender delicious filet mignon that melted in my mouth. I must say our server was attentive kind and engaging. What a wonderful dining experience.

Steaks were very good as was the sides but the higher priced led me feeling I needed more fulfilling flavor in our meals for price. The onion rings were unique as they were individually huge! But I get onion rings for the crispness and these weren't that which was a bit of a disappointment. I'd try another steak place before I came here again.

Very nice place to have dinner for special occasions or a night out. I would go back to have dinner again.

We used the bar as a meeting place to meet friend who were staying in a different hotel for dinner. Nice bar. Good location. Plenty of TV screens. NBA finals were on.

Don't eat too many pickles because the steaks come with a large, honey-roasted carrot. The bread is extra crunchy. I tried the halibut special and it was just as good as the meat.

We stayed at the Omni for several days so we got to enjoy Bob's for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I can tell you that you won't go wrong no matter when you go. Great service and excellent food. We never had a problem getting seated immediately. Ironically, we did not have steak for dinner but chose the halibut. Great meal with lots of flavor. I saw a lot of the steak dishes and they looked amazing. We go to our local steak house a lot so I didn't really feel like having steak. At breakfast, my wife had the dungeness crab benedict and it was awesome. I had the corned beef hash for some strange reason and it was ok but I would opt for the former. Definitely recommend, if you are in the financial district.

First time for me at Bob's and I really enjoyed the Filet. It was seasoned perfectly and cooked to perfection. It came with an option of salad, fries, mashed potatoes or chips and I chose the Salad. Nothing fancy but the blue cheese dressing was delicious. My client ordered the salmon salad and the piece of salmon was huge. She said her meal was fantastic.

We had breakfast here as it was our first morning in the hotel. Very disappointed that the corned beef hash was cubes potatoes and cubed beef, not rosti and shredded beef. Service was overbearing and intrusive, the waiter was too busy being obsequious to actually get our order correct. They don’t seem to understand when someone says they don’t want any more coffee they mean they don’t. Overall very expensive for what it was, I’ve eaten much better for less in other cities. We didn’t. Eat there again during the whole week.

This is one of my go to steak houses. The staff always makes you feel welcome. Great place to conduct business. I never feel rushed. There is a great bar area next to Bob's to wait for your guests. The steak is always excellent. Good for Lunch or dinner.

We only ate here for breakfast, but it was really good. Great atmosphere, service was really good and there was plenty of food.

Bob's is always a great place to go anytime of the evening. The bar area is lively and you can order anything from the restaurant menu. The bar has excellent wine choices and the staff is very friendly. Sheila is an amazing bartender who makes you feel right at home with her warm smile and friendly and positive attitude. If you don't like a cocktail or wine, she will make or pour another glass without hesitation. They do like to make larger potions when it comes to food and desserts, so it is a good idea to share - especially the chocolate cake. It's humongous!!

Wow! The grand entrance takes your breath away! Gorgeous chandeliers and marble everywhere. Very friendly and cordial reception for us at the desk. And the concierge services were superb! Thanks so much, Mark and Douglas! You made our first visit to SF easy and enjoyable. The rooms were beautiful and we wanted for nothing. The housekeeping staff was"spot" on! Everything was spotless and replenished as necessary. Very comfortable beds, updated TV, and perfect lighting, especially the vanity. Love the Omni!

We ate at Bob's when staying at the Omni as it's located in the hotel. Good food. Filet was cooked perfectly and great flavor. Nice wine selection and good service. Expensive but not out of the ordinary for SF or a steak house.

Ate there the night after Superbowl and my wife and daughter were with me. My steak may have been the worst cut of meat that I have ever had at a Bob's. The service is what made it even worst! The manager absolutely stood in front of me and thought it was funny. Someone will eventually slap that smile off his face one day!

French toast to die for. Service was great not in your face all the time but when I needed something there was not waiting.

The waiter was not very attentive and did not ever bring water. Even though it was requested three times. Sometimes it is the simple things that count.

My filet mignon was great and the creme brûlée was the best that I ever had. On top of this, the service was splendid and friendly. Definitely Recommended

A complete restaurant. Great food, great service, cozy environment. Pricing a tad high, but the service over the top. Clearly worth the time and energy to enjoy this establishment.

If I could add another star... Definitely a very high quality food and service is great. I would expect prices to be the way they are since it is a 5 star restaurant. Don't miss out when you're in town.

I recently dined at Bob's an wrote a review. Several of those who read my review asked about the Menu with prices because the website does not list prices with the menu items. I photographed the menu with prices posted at the entrance to the restaurant for your reference.

Excellent breakfast - very generous portions! Kid friendly as well. Looking forward to trying dinner on our next visit.

Great choice of steak that was cooked to perfection. The single large glazed carrot that it is served with was also spectacular and “melt in the mouth” - how? Good selection of wine and a friendly waiter topped off the experience.

My wife and I had dinner here on our second night in San Francisco. It is attached to the Omni and can be a bit loud for conversation, but they offered us a small table in a room off the main dining area which was very nice. The have a jar of pickles and red peppers on the table for you if you like them. We had the pickers which were good. My wife had the tomato mozzarella salad while I had the wedge salad which were both really good. The portions are large so keep that in mind unless you have a really large appetite. We then both had the 9 oz. filet, which comes with a carrot that is cooked to perfection. Our steaks were also done to perfection and tasted great. We enjoyed the experience thoroughly.

Impeccable service by Francisco with great flavor in a classic environment. They were attentive without overbearance and food preparation was perfect. Best Martini.....yummy.

Having enjoyed many quality steaks in several steakhouses in the Bay Area, we had high expectations for Bob's Steak & Chop House based upon reviews in TA. Bob's has great ambiance and the service was excellent. Sadly, our experience with the steaks proved to be tougher than we could have imagined....specifically, medium rare ribeye steaks that were dense and chewy and didn't resemble prime meat by any stretch of the imagination. We have no problem spending $50+ for a steak when the steak is wonderful! but these were not. We've had better ribeye's at places like Outback for one third the cost. Lastly, the wine list was seriously top heavy with overly expensive bottles and very few good choices under $100. Lots of better choices for quality steak in San Francisco.

We are in San Francisco on our holidays and found Bobs restaurant on this app. I have to say we both really enjoyed this classic up market steak house, for its quality, delivery and simplicity. You get great meat, excellent wine, delicious unfussy sides in a simple crisp steak restaurant environment. Nothing fussy, just good quality delivered in a contemporary unfussy manner. We loved it

We were staying at the Omni on business and some in our group said Bob's was great at other locations so we decided to try it. I wasn't impressed. It was average. I wouldn't return.

We had dinner here one night. Excellent service and ambience. My steak was excellent, but my husband's not so much. But if you're looking for a high-end restaurant with great service, this is your place.

I ate breakfast at Bob's twice, and I enjoyed the food so much the first day that I ordered the same items the next day. The plate of fresh orange and grapefruit slices was gorgeous and delicious, and the crab cake Benedict was also excellent. A tiny chocolate muffin added unexpected pleasure to the egg dish.

Arrived to no one. Obviously staff was on personal break. Seated and asked for a rum and soda to be told they had no "bacardi vodka"?? Explained that one to them. No mint jelly or sauce to go with the very expensive rack of lamb. They ran out and laughed and said everyone asked for that tonight??? Really. Cleared my plate and left my husbands finished plate for 10 minutes. Terrible etiquette. Finally showed up with 1 measly peace of cake for our anniversary after I asked for a dessert menu that never came. Worst meal on out trip for 5 days to SF.

I had two dinners recently at Bobs due to a conference I was attending. One evening I ordered the fillet mignon and the other night the NY strip steak. The quality of the beef is excellent... it practically cuts with a fork. The flavor of the meat is also quite good. The rest of the plate is a bit different. There is the giant carrot in the middle of the plate... I mean a huge full carrot. Apparently their honey-glazed carrot is something they are noted for but it is not visually appealing and it is too much (mashed down easily over a cup). This is one of their standard sides so it was included with both dinners. First night I got the mashed red potatoes - good but not great. Second night I got the oven fried potatoes with peppercorn sauce. Giant circles of russet potatoes 1/3-1/2 inch thick with large pieces of onion - onions were braised and potato slabs overcooked. The peppercorn sauce was pretty good but would have been better served as a Tbs or two over the meat. Both nights I basically just ate the meat. Ordered the creme Brûlée which I wanted to love but it lacked flavor (like they forgot vanilla). Honestly for the price there are better steak houses available. Sorry!

They make an adequate martini, server comes often enough, wasabi peas in a bowl, they show the AL wild card game.

Pricey, but worth it. Great wine selection and fantastic food. Quiet atmosphere, attentive staff were happy to work around a food allergy.

This steak and chop house is part of the Omni Hotel, where we were staying, so we went in one evening for a light meal. We realized later that this goal could have been met at the bar. Huge pieces of meat covered the plates on tables that we passed and we rarely eat meat. But we saw enough other possibilities on the menu to give a simple order. My husband chose a crab cake and salad and I ordered onion rings and salad. Our initial waiter, though pleasant and polite, never returned after this order and no one checked to see how we were doing after the meal came. We had to work hard to get anyone to deliver our bill. The restaurant was busy that evening, but we expected some common courtesy. My husband enjoyed his crab but the salads tasted like the greens were almost over the hill. The big, thick onion rings must be famous, based on the number of diners taking photos of them, but I was unimpressed with the size and the huge amount of batter. I cannot comment on the meat, for which this restaurant is known, but I would certainly not return for the items we chose, especially with a final bill of $64.

Great restaurant in the Omni Hotel in San Francisco. There is street parking and valet. This place has the best rib-eye steak that I think I have ever had. Cooked to perfection. Sides are extra: did not really love the spinach and mushrooms, but there are other sides available including a Cesar salad. The offer a wine list. The baked potato and giant cinnamon carrot were part of the meal.

We went here for a special birthday dinner and the food was AMAZING. Located in the Omni Hotel in the Financial District and a nice relaxing setting. Another website I saw stated the prices were between $30-$50. That was inaccurate. Most of the steak options were a minimum $50 and the cuts are as listed (ie: Filet Mignon 9oz or Striploin 16oz) You cannot get these types of meats in different cuts. With that said, the meat was amazing - just more pricey than I thought. Worth it in the end!

Went to the restaurant on high recommends. Place seemed nice. Good atmosphere and the staff were really helpful and friendly. But my steak was really tough. The knife I had was definitely needed as to cut the thing was a big chore. I appreciated the need for a thick piece of fat to make the steak but this was huge and more or less was the steak. I gave up in the end as chewing was hard work as well. I just ate the potatoes and single carrot. Which was the size of a leg!!! Would recommend the onion rings tho!!!!

We only had breakfast here two days in a row. The seating, service and food was very good. At night the place was full.

Great service, good food. Drinks and alcohol are at a price and quality that is mush better compare to the rest of pricey hotels. If you stay at Omni or surrounding hotels come to Bob's. Just one disclaimer, get warm dress. It is freezing cold in the restaurant.

I had the steak with mashed potatoes and it was pretty good and well cooked. The drinks and service was wonderful as well. I had a lot of work to do so if you are in the hotel they will also deliver the food to your room which was a major plus.

We ate here twice during our week stay in San Francisco, once for lunch and once for dinner. We were not disappointed. The food and service were both amazing!

Although pricey, this is a wonderful place to have breakfast. Fresh fruit is available with many of the selections. The staff is professional and friendly.

I've been to Bob's before and dined here again last night. My NY Steak was superb: a beautiful hunk of steak prepared perfectly. Every time I've eaten here the steak has been excellent. Service was friendly and attentive, too. For consistency and quality, Bob's is a great choice for steak in SF. The huge carrot is a nice touch. For a starter, I had the spinach salad that I'd had before and would order again.

We had breakfast included with our room so we ate here every morning. I tried a variety of meals and enjoyed all of them. I actually thought that we were given too much food. We usually had leftovers and felt bad about leaving food. The service, from all staff, was exceptional. No one hovered over us but any need was taken care of quickly and efficiently. We were treated like royalty. Our absolute favorite server was Franz. You must sit in his area at least once to bask in his friendly glow. He's top notch...

ON a recent business trip we had a team dinner at Bob's. While waiting for our table we had a number of drink in the adjoining bar which seemed like happy hour hotspot for local business people. The bar atmosphere was awesome and the IPA on tap was particularly refreshing. Once seated for dinner our calamari appetizer was super tender. I also had the 16oz Filet Mignon with glazed carrot and skillet fried potatoes topped with sautéed onions and peppercorn gravy. The medium filet was sublime, simply seasoned with just the right chew and mouth feel. The carrot was sweet and the potatoes were so tasty. This is a true steak house and they know how to prepare a piece of meat. This is now one of my favorite places to get a steak anywhere. Do try Bob's if in the area.
Average food and outrageously priced
The place is located in the Omni hotel and they have a valet service so that is on the positive side. Totally uncreative menu and the prices go up to 50-60$ an entree And totally not worth it The shrimp and calamari appetizers were underwhelming and the T-bone steak, salmon and pepper pasta tasteless and again extremely expensive.
