Un deleite! A delight!

By Liudmila |

An amazing place! Great food, wonderful atmosphere, and very vibrant neighborhood. We enjoyed cocktails, tapas and a dessert, but they have a full menu if you’d like a full dinner. Highly recommended

High hopes...

We went for Seattle restuarant week to try somewhere new. Place was super busy. Food was ok just small/thin piece of steak & fries... Nothing special! They had run out of several items on the menu @ 8pm

Thoroughly enjoyed my dinner

Thoroughly enjoyed my dinner at Boca. The marinated skirt steak was as expected, flavorful moist and the chimichurri on point. The empanadas were traditional and legit. Laid-back and small environment. Some outside seating.

Great Meal

We shared the charcuterie board and the mixed meat platter. Both were absolutely delicious but the meat platter was more than enough for 2 on it's own. The service was fantastic, quick and friendly, the overall aesthetic was great too.

Very good new opening - will go back again

Having recently returned from Argentina we thought we'd try Boca out in Seattle restaurant week and we were not disappointed. Fun atmosphere and friendly service with the owner/manager on hand to check all was good with our food and experience. The empanadas were very authentic and the skirt steak was beautifully cooked and tasty and the deserts were excellent too. Good wine and craft beer list too

Brings back fond memories of San Telmo

By Leslie W |

This great little neighborhood place in North Capitol Hill is a gem, and it definitely evokes the charm of the San Telmo neighborhood of Buenos Aires; all that was lacking was a tango soundtrack. The cocktail menu intrigues; I enjoyed a jalapeño-infused tequila margarita (mixing cuisines) that was exceptional, while my daughter had a mezcal drink that was no less impressive (we passed on the more traditional fernet for the moment). Our entrees, when they finally came, were absolutely wonderful—chicharon of ribeye with potatoes, shrimp al ajillo with plenty of sauce for sopping up with the accompanying toast, and chicken and beef empanadas. We chose Argentine Malbecs and a Pinot to accompany these. We loved the staff, the setting , the food, the ambience—but we came in at the beginning of a huge rush, and our dinner orders got lost in the shuffle. We were deep in conversation so didn’t think too much of it until we looked at the time and realized that parties arriving later than us were already leaving. They caught the error and we’re extremely apologetic, and thereafter the food appeared promptly. Their gracious apologies, the additional wine they provided to compensate for the kitchen’s oversight, and the final glass of fernet that the owner offered, along with a nice little conversation, guarantees we’ll be back for more great Argentine food. I already have my next meal figured out!

If you like delicious meat you have to try this!

We were in Seattle for three nights, came here for two lunches and two diners! That sums it up! Had the most tender and tasty ribeye, fabulous empanadas and a dessert ( flan con dulce de leche) came back the next day for milanesa a caballo, ceviche and a perfect beets salad,!dessert was a dulce de leche crepe to die for! As they are closed for lunch, we went to the sister bakery a few doors down, and had the best capuchino with croissants and many wonderful Argentinian pastries! Lunch was a a lomito sandwich and empanadas again… A fun place with great music, service and well, the food is incredible! And yes I am Argentinian so I know!

Loved it

Got takeout here for Seattle restaurant week and it was great! The desserts were SO GOOD I would go back just for the chocolate and dulce de leche cake. Everything was cooked well and delicious and pick up was a breeze. Can’t wait to go back!

Knowledge served with a meal

By Cheryl A |

We had perfectly breaded and tender fried calamari, along with the 3 empanada plate. Empanada crust was light and flaky and fillings well seasoned. We were tempted to try some of the unusual breakfast egg dishes, but opted out as it was afternoon. Husband and wife owners were attentive and friendly, sharing information about Buenas Aires and Argentina in general.

I think the Desert was the best

By MarcosKinz |

I went there with my family. They have good and big plates, although I was expecting more from the Tapa de Quadril (ribs). It was warm and not tender as I am used to. My wife got a parmigiana, also missed something in the flavor although the size is for 2. The desert is amazing with the best Argentinian Dulce the Leche.

Sooo good!

I will keep this short: go! Friendly service, very flavorful food, and perfect location! It’s new, that’s clear. The minor bumps were that, minor and part of opening a new space. I will definitely be back!

Boca in Belltown

By GB3VLO |

My wife and I were visiting Seattle for the weekend and bumped into this Steakhouse to have a glass of wine as we had just finished having dinner. The Hostess/Bartender Liris was so engaging and nice that we promised her we would return for Dinner the next day. We had an excellent dining experience as our food and drinks were all amazing. We will definitely return. We went to the one on 1st Ave.

Good menu

By Brendan S |

Boca is classified as a “steakhouse,” but it’s really an Argentinian restaurant. It is more casual than a steakhouse; a small restaurant with few large tables and all a bit closer than I like. The loud Latin music was also not what I hoped for at a steakhouse. I did get a good meal here. There are a dozen house cocktails plus a wine list, including a jalapeño margarita that they warned would be as spicy as it was. I selected an empanada sampler appetizer for my entree and enjoyed the variety - beef, corn, cheese and chicken - and the well-seasoned meat and crispy texture. My dessert selection was a chocolate lava cake with orange sauce, but what I got was a regular piece of somewhat dry chocolate cake with no acknowledgement that it wasn’t what the menu described. A small added service charge was also an annoyance. The negative customer satisfaction from these fees likely outweighs the small revenue collected from them.

Boca… fantastic ‘Happy Hour’ menu

We visited yesterday, a large group of work colleagues. Separate cheques not a problem, great Happy Hour menu and the service was amazing! Nice setting with a few outside tables too. The burgers looked great…will order next time I’m back.

Fantastic service and delicious food

Service was excellent and the food was amazing. We started with the charcuterie board and had steaks. The hanger steak was the best I've ever had. Our waitress was very friendly and quickly got our bill when we realized we had to run to our concert.

If you book on OpenTable, be ready to give your CC at moment's notice or have your reservation immediately canceled

By 123bradleyb |

***ADVISORY WARNING** DO NOT book a reservation here unless you are willing to give at moment's notice your credit card information orally to someone you don't know over the phone, or immediately drive to BOCA in person and give them your credit card number. BOCA called me today and demanded that I give my credit card over the phone to secure my reservation. I wasn’t comfortable giving it over the phone as I have been a victim of ID theft. Because I wouldn’t give my credit card number over the phone, they IMMEDIATELY canceled my reservation. Now I have no place to go for Valentine's Day; everywhere is booked. Update: I called to see if I could get my reservation back. I spoke with an EXTREMELY rude lady who assured me she did NOT want me to do business with them at their restaurant. BOCA ruined my fiancée and I's valentine's day. I was planning on PROPOSING there, but now my reservation was canceled and everywhere else is booked. What a truly atrocious business. I would have happily entered my credit card through open table or through a secure website. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE DO NOT SUPPORT THIS RESTAURANT.

What a nice easy and fun place...

What a great restaurant in each category...service, vibe, food and price. We live in the neighborhood, and this was our first time visiting. The restaurant is casual in a perfect way. We shared a couple empanadas which were flavorful. Wine list is small, but solid all from Argentina at very reasonable prices. Specialty of course is the meat. Both entries were as advertised, large servings. The staff and specifically our waitperson was engaging.

Superb!

Great service & attention from everyone at the restaurant and always the guarantee of a leading restaurant owner in the west area of the 🇺🇸: Marco. Thank you for making great moments a true tradition.

Unplanned surprised - excellent food and service

By Kathy B |

We had not planned ahead and stumbled upon this most wonderful restaurant. The owner/ host made us feel immediately as though we were I his home. Gluten free options available naturally because dishes are made with fish, meat and other non flour ingredients. I've never had Argentinian food, but any future encounters will have a lot to live up to. There were 3 of us, easily accommodated, and any delay in receiving food seemed to be due to the desire to get things perfect. The staff seemed young, but were as hard working as veterans; professional, engaging but quickly back to work. Assessing we were new in town, our server gave us recommendations for perfect post dinner establishments - fitted to our family. He wrote them down on a piece of paper that we will most definitely keep.

Just ‘OK’

By Mon Z |

Atmosphere is fun and a definite vibe. Drinks were just ok. Appetizers were great and very promising for rest of meal overall. We had empanadas and lamb meat balls The entrees were presented beautifully but were just ok. Hubby had ribeye and said it was alright. I had the short ribs, which was unfortunately 2 pieces of chewy meat with bones. Not easy to eat and very grisselly - not great. Son had chicken Milanese - again was pretty good but not awesome

Fantastic!

We had a great seat outside in the sun. Loved our empanadas and sangria. The staff was very nice. We would definitely recommend this place.
