Spectacular quality food My family and I really Enjoyed this restaurant The taste is delicious! Also desserts are wow!! The service is kind I definitely recommend This place@

Rudest service.....do not go here

By worthober |

Went with three girlfriends to dinner and were treated with such rudeness. Prices were high, food average and servers were terribly rude. Many other excellent restaurants with kind people.

Not worth a visit!!!

By adelakonst |

Please stay away from the Orlando location. Our food was cold and the prices are too high for what you get. The ice teas are $5,00 and no refills. Too many other places with better food in the Dr. Philip area.

Overrated

By Carolina |

I called 4 times to order delivery and nobody answered, so i visited it and order for to go. The food was ok but the price are to high 12$ for beef arepa (arepa de lomo saltado) 2.99$ for add gouda cheese, 15$ for lomo saltado patacon (plantain with beef) 7$ for chicha (venezuelan beverage) in other place arepa with 4 ingredients for 6$ and are amazing so for me it's overrated The food was good, the place its nice and clean, server was friendly! For me the prices are to high for the type of food and ambient. ( the restaurant its hot.. They need more a/c or more fans)

Big size dishes!

By Rosmari A |

Great Venezuelan food! Loved the big-mouth dishes, Patacones were my favorite! Natural juices are awesome!... I was a little unhappy with their birthday treat, I've been to Bocas House and they usually give a big cake on top of full glass of Chicha (delicious) but in this place we got a ball of ice-cream with cookies, it was so hard we could barely break it with a knife to at least have a little of the ice-cream. I don't mind if treats are big or small, but I do care for them to be good.

Very good

By Katt S |

When i visit a city before i go i always research the resturants. So i seen the reviews on this place and i wasn't disappointed it was sooooo good we got a take out i sat at the bar had a drink while waiting that was good as well .The next time im in Miami this will definitely be my resturant of choice. And the staff was awsome

NIce Venezuelan taste

By Arnaldo V |

Nice Venezuelan restaurant, nice taste, rich flavors. But small place, too thight. Ok for two up to four people, but more than that, prepare to wait a long time.

Great food

By SidneyF |

This is my first time here, and the food was good. The service was also great. Will definitely be back, when i come back to Miami.

Must Eat

By Erick V |

Came here while on a business trip. This restaurant was delicious and definitely a must come when in Miami. Food is delicious and desserts are amazing. Must Eat.

Great Food

By eglier1 |

Hi, we enjoyed the nice food that they serve in the restaurant. It is really a latin food taste (venezuelan mainly), and the waitres are very polite however, they need to be more alert with the clients. It is a recommended place definitevely.

1st Timer

By LittleMsJulie |

I had the "Pabellon Criollo Venezolano" (Shredded Beef, Black Beans, Ripe Plantains and White Rice), to me it was a typical Cuban dish, nothing special. My husband had the "Arroz Chaufa de Pollo", he said the Peruvian Chaufa is better. My sister had the " Pabellón Criollo" (Shredded Beef, Fried Plantain, Black Beans and White Cheese) and she pulled out a long hair from it!! My niece had the "5 Ham Croquettes" (wasn't hungry) - didn't get a response from her, so I guess nothing special. My nephew ordered the "Lomo Saltado" and no comment from him either. The total with drinks & gratuity was $100 (not sure why so much - but my husband just pay what's on the receipt without making sure is right :(). So I guess we'll not be visiting this place again. The ambience was good thought, small, but crowded.

The Milkshakes!

By Jordan |

We have been to Bocas both times we have been to Miami now, and they do not disappoint. The food is always tasty and good value for money, my absolute favourite has to be the empanadas. The milkshakes are the star of the show though, huge jars with churros and ice cream covered in syrup on top. Definitely worth a photo-op and can be shared between two! A must do whether you are after a full meal or just for a milkshake

Great Lunch Place

By Scott B |

stopped here for a quick lunch, really good food. Definitely worth a stop. Reasonable prices and good quantity.

Amazing experience

By jawhiskeyman |

This was my first time eating Venezuelan or Peruvian food. I had the lomo saltado, which was excellent! The service was fast and friendly. The price was relatively inexpensive for Miami. For about $20, I had a beer and the meal - lots of food! I would definitely return.

Very good

By Nicolas M |

Food and service good a bit small but good waitress staff very polite and very helpful very good choice our food came fast and tasteful

Very slow service

By lalocadr19 |

Although the food was good. The service was horrible, it took more than 1hr for the food to come. The manager gave us soup for free for appetizer because there was no reason for the food to take that long. We all order different plate I order arepa llanera with tamarind juice, burger with fries, delicious food.Hopefully the service get better if ever decide to visit again.

Horrible breakfast

By jeff p |

My fiancé and i came here for our first time because I friend recommended it. We first walked in it looked nice. I ordered a omelette and fiancé a Arepa breakfast with eggs and meat. The omelette was the worst I ever had no taste and cheese or ham were not melted, on the menu it said fries or toast with it when mine arrived it was by itself I asked and 15min later they brought the fries after I had finished. And my fiancé breakfast she said was ok but Arepa was too hard she couldn't eat it!!

Great place for a family dinner

By Adva H |

Service is great Food is a wonderful mix of all Latin America The appetizer platter is amazing And the parrillada plater is perfect for a family dinner Prices are more then fair

Just with the right foot

By Marquez_Miguel |

We were a little confused before we arrived to this spot because they have two places with almost the same name, Bocas Grill and Bocas House. So, we decided to call first and make us sure we were going to the right place. After a few moment a young voice answered the call and in a very gentil way he explained us every detail of both restaurant including their menus and highlights. He went over a few dishes and recommended us to check on their instagram page so we could see with pictures what the differences were. At the end we decided to go and get some arepas. When we got there we found a place a litle bit neglected in structure but well taken care by their staff. So many scratches in the tables and an A/C that seems to be barely working are the details that can make you think you are not going to get a good plate. Interestingly, the service makes you believe you are totally wrong. First, the young boy who guided us over the phone which later I asked his name, Jose. Then, a beautiful lady who took care of us from the moment we opened the door, Daniela. The food was delicious. The overal experience was pretty good and my only recommendation is to enhance the place a little. You have something good there. Your staff is gold and careful about your business. Your food is good. So do not let it go.

Very good food!

By Lupe L |

We stopped for a small meal befor we hit the road and it did not disapoint we had the sampler of arepas and tequeños and i ordered a lomo salteado arepa that was delish i also orderd a chicha wich is a rice punch with sweet and condenced milk and cinnamon that was delicius

Great place for a delicious dinner

By Diana N |

We had a delicious meal. Lots of choices and great food. The service was fantastic. It wasn't crowded and should have been given the food and service. Great place to go for dinner!

Great restaurant, just a little thight

By Mariadleal |

Food is incredible good, you feel like you're actually eating in Venezuela, the "chicha" is TO.DIE.FOR, value is good due to the high quality, service is amazing, they will accomodate to your needs and make you feel special. Only complaint is space, the restaurant is very small for the traffic level and the amount of tables for big parties is limited, we had to wait for a table, but the wait was so worth it, totally reccomended

Excellent food with good value

By chinook773 |

Definitely not what I was expecting by looking at it from the outside. It's not a large place by any means but the service is great and the food is excellent. I ate here twice during my stay and I will say that the quality of food is outstanding as well as the portion size. You will not walk away hungry from this place. I highly recommend going here if you are in the area.

Nice restaurant for break during lunch

By Readma |

I went there for a business lunch with some colleagues of mine. The location is very easy to reach by car and there is no problem to find a free parking space. The location inside is very Latin American and the menu offers a good selection The service is great and the food served was very good as well Great quality compared to cost

Great food

By Brian P |

First time here. Food tasted great. The portions were big. We were full and still had leftovers. We were only visiting from out of town, but we will return because there is a lot on the menu i still want to try.

Overpriced!!!!

By lilimsanchez1981 |

I went with my family because a good friend told us about this place!!! $ 15 for a Lomo Saltado arepa? Are you kidding? Also, my mom asked for a chicken shredded arepa and she couldn't eat it because it was so salty. I just gave them a try but definitely I won't come back

Delicious

By Lina C |

The food was amazing, the flavor was spectacular and we loved that there was a nutritional balance. Stephany hosted us. She was very professional and kind. Att Liliana and Lina

Fantastic flavors served by a great waiter named Jon

By klf5 |

There were 6 of us ages 13-65, we ate there on October 6th, 2017. We walked from our hotel (not real safe with the wide streets to cross and traffic, we almost got hit twice). It's a small restaurant that packs a major flavor punch. Our server made several recommendations and we went with some of them and he was spot on. It's a mix of food from Venezuela and Peru. We had a few dishes that were stir fried, some had sauce and some didn't. I'm really picky and this place delivered. It was reasonable and we left satisfied.. We live in Colorado and want to go back to Miami just to eat here.

Nuttela paradise!

By Vanessa M |

Awesome food and the service from Ricardo and Jon was great! Highly recommend it.. They have nuttela on almost anything!

Mediocre

By RGN_7228 |

I've been here a few times because coworkers have wanted to go. Food is average at best, but service is just bad. Extremely slow and servers are not particularly friendly on top of everything, I found it expensive for the quality of food and service.

Great lunch place.. a little pricey!

By Lori Marie Ramirez |

Overall this is a great lunch place if you work in the area. Only cons is that it is a little pricey for my taste. I typically don't like to spend more than $15 (including tip) on lunch and I paid around $20. Other than that, the food is great. I had the Chicken Skewers with fries and the Chipotle Sauce (which is to DIE for!)

This was a very solid choice!

By Howard B |

It took a while to get seated but I went in at a peak time. You have to wait at the front door like other people mentioned which was a little awkward but you can take a number for the next available table. I was seated in about 10 minutes which was 100% fine. The restaurant is in a strip plaza in an industrial area which is reasonably close to my office and customer's places of business We ordered some of their really great juices (passion fruit and pineapple) and I had the lomo saltado which was very tasty. This was a very solid choice and I will go back to explore the menu in greater detail. I was very happy I went and that it had a decent rating on the web. I will be going back and I suggest you go too!

"Venezuelan food"

By Miamismith305 |

Mainly, Bocas Grill offers Venezuelan food and a few plates from other countries. Portions are large and generally, the food is good. Enjoy the food and please do not count the calories. It’s also a great place to go with the family.f

Great Latino food and menu

By SeatOfMyPntsTravelr |

Came in for lunch with colleagues between meetings. The service was fast and the quality of the food was fantastic. Excellent flavors and preparation. Highly recommend!

Court Food kind of restaurant

By Deods |

This is a court food kind of restaurant (decoration, food and service) with the same prices of restaurants in Miami with nice decoration, impeccable service and great food.

Great food but...

By dreksfreks |

I've been to the Bocas Grill in Kendal and loved it. We tried this one today only because they had reservations available at the time we needed. The food was awesome, no complaints there, service wasn't bad either, however the smell of old rag or as I call it "trapo viejo" was awful, so bad I didn't want to finish my arepa. We were sat right next to the bathroom and kitchen area and every time the kitchen doors swung open we would get a swift of that nasty smell. Also didn't like the fact that the ice they serve us is right next to the bathroom, maybe it's me being picky.

UNBELIEVABLE FOOD!!! What you see is what you get!!!

By Alvarezcarmen677 |

This place is small but worth visiting. The place is clean. Very courteous and friendly staff. The food is unbelievable great. We went overboard. We ordered their Parrilla for 2, fried plantains w/cheese topping. Two fried eggs, Parchita drink, a coffee (😳😳so delicious), and a chica to go. I can’t stress enough how good this restaurant is. It is close to our home and I plan on visiting every Saturday or Sunday. Go for it and ENJOY the food!!!

Flavor Is On Point

By Sonopete |

I love BOCAS. The food (Venezuelan traditional) is fantastic and of great quality. Their flavor is on point. Start with some tequeños and mini arepas as appetizers. Order your main entree (Wok Smoked Lomo, Arepa Pabellon Criollo) Then get dessert. This is NOT their best location but the have a great service. Worth EVERY calorie.

New Year's eve take-out order

By Joe A |

Really disappointed with the quality of the food for New Year's eve. Things were just thrown together. They had clearly taking way too many orders in was not it will handle all the business. They're running around extremely disorganized which I excepted since it was new years eve and they were truly accommodating our last-minute request. Unfortunately, The taste was acceptable and would have sufficed. Unfortunately, several of us got sick and broke out with diarrhea. Not sure of the cause but really don't care at this point. I will never go back there.

Good food and attention

By terrygonzalez |

I had lunch today and food was great as well as service. Good to mingle with Venezuelan culture and immigrants

The Best Arepas in Miami Metro Area

By pyaselli |

As a Venezuelan I am proud of initiatives like this , the dedication and love put into each of the dishes represents our cuisine at an exceptional level. The Executive Chef of this place is very famous in Social Media, he is constantly publishing amazing pictures of his innovations at the kitchen. Their Arepas are cooked on the Grill, All the ingredients are top quality, portions are generous and well prepared. All the combinations are incredible. Their menu is extensive and has many options for all kind of customers This place is a must for all Venezuelans based in Miami and for visitors who like to eat well at a reasonable price, I highly recommend it. Well done Guys...

Good Venezuelan Food

By REVoigt |

We were in town for a family birthday celebration and went to Bocas for lunch. It is very popular, so expect a wait. We had a party of 6 and had to wait 15-20 minutes. They have a nice variety on the menu, but when I go to a Venezuelan restaurant for the first time I always like to try the arepas. Bocas arepas are very good. The fresh juices are excellent. The tequeños are excellent too. All in all, very good Venezuelan food that is worth a short wait. A little pricier than similar restaurants in the Orlando area, but heck the gas prices are almost $0.50 a gallon higher down here too.......

Love it

By Suzanne W |

I love Venezuelan foods in general. But this particular one has a huge food selection. Went for a lunch with a friend and ordered the ArepaBurguer!! Great service through friendly and attentative staff. I definitely would return

Good

By carlos alfredo p |

I saw some pictures on instagram, and I decided to come. It’s little and not that fancy but ambience is definitely great. The waiter was a little slow, but I’m sure they can improve this, in the other hand he was really kind. 5+ stars meal, I tried “tostones” with shrimps, just the thought of it makes my mouth water. I had the opportunity to taste tostones with cheese in other restaurant, but Bocas Grill has the best one. I’ll come more often.

Just perfect

By Emily J. P |

Steaks are my weakness, so I ordered it with rice and french fries, exquisite, the portions are generous, according to the cost. Highly recommend restaurant.

Best Venezuelan food in Miami! (Katherine was very nice)

By Mary P |

Best Venezuelan food in Miami! Lo más parecido a comida en Venezulea! Muy rico … 100 recomendado … and I am picky but this is very good 🥰 Las hallacas son las mejores de US

Venezuelan Breakfast!

By AB5901 |

Great variety of Venezuelan breakfast. Family really liked the food. Loved the coffee and juices. I had the Arepa Llanera and I think I have enough food for the whole day. We had to wait sometime to be helped because the place was packed and had to ask twice for a glass of water missing.

Very good

By Hl501501 |

Amazing food and the dessert was incredible!! Friendly staff. I went on a Wednesday and there was no wait a

Yummy affordable

By Peggy H |

We called ahead and they set a table for our group of 11. We had a great Venezuelan brunch. We enjoyed everything except the large arepas and scrambled eggs were a little dry for my personal taste. My son also ordered a burger... double patty with two fried eggs and bacon! Wow! The juices were so refreshing and we enjoyed the appetizer sampler with mini arepas and tequenos. The tres leches dessert was a really fun presentation!

Food and service was fanstastic

By Eddy N |

We were here for brunch and it was fantastic. It's Brazilian and their food is very nice. Everyone speaks Portuguese or Spanish though.

Attention

By Patricio N |

Very rich milkshakes, and the perfect care, the one that attended me was called Katherine, was always attentive and super good care. 100% recommended

Excellent Food and Service

By Marty M |

Great place for dinner. Our family visited Bocas while in town overnight. The food was excellent, especially the burgers. We also enjoyed one of the milkshakes. Our server, Andrea, was very courteous and speedy.

Average-Good food, but...!!! too expensive

By Power Ranger |

I went with my wife and we were both in shock when they brought the bill (+ $ 100 and add already mandatory 18% gratuity) and what we ordered was an entree, a main plate for both, two juices and a dessert. The plates that we ordered were missing the main ingredient (cream - nata). The customer service was average, but can be better and much friendlier. The atmosphere is a little old or looks worn.

Visit on a whim.

By Crystal D. |

My friends and I got to Miami late (around 11pm) for a cruise the next day. We drove around to see what was open and picked Bocas having no clue what we were getting. The server was a little hard to understand because of her thick accent, but we managed. We would 1000% come back. The quality of our food was TOP NOTCH for 11pm! I don’t remember the name of this, but it had chicken and steak and was to die for!

Great place and delicious food!!!!!!

By Alex S |

Heard lots of good comments about this place and decided to drive almost 45 minutes to give it try and it was absolutely worth it. The menu takes time to understand it but any of the waiter team are right there to help you ! Very creative menu items, versatile because you can go from salads to burgers to steaks arepas and incredible desserts. We had table of 4 and order 2 burgers a tostones steak dish couple beers and 2 desserts and the deck was 90ish tax and tip included. Very satisfied

Great Venezuelan Fusion
