Auggie helped us celebrate a wonderful anniversary dinner! Service was exceptional!!! As first timers, Auggie went over the menu and pointed out crowd favorites, food and ambience was amazing! We will definitely be back again!

Visiting shops in the area and decided to eat here on the recommendation of a shop owner. Really nice looking place! It was Monday and they were not busy. It is housed in the original Boiler House of the old Pearl Brewery Complex so big open spaces and high ceilings. It was not a warm day when we were there in late February, and it was uncomfortably cool in the restaurant. Not a wine drinker but they have a very extensive wine list. I am a beer drinker and they offer many local beers also. I had a Stash IPA and a Rodeo Clown. Had a Philly prime rib to eat. Beer was great, food was above average. Very nic area around the restaurant, open areas, shops, lots of history. Enjoyed our visit.

Popped into the Boiler House for a nice cold beer while strolling along the Riverwalk. It is located in the Pearl Brewing place. It is a nice place for an adult beverage. The Bacon Popcorn was way tooooo sweet for me!

Traveling for business and looking for a good meal in a Tesla ing atmosphere. Great food and outdoor seating with quality live music that wasn’t overpowering. Well done Boiler House.

My husband and I went to Boiler house for a quick mid afternoon drink and small app. We had the most incredible service experience with Cynthia. She was so kind and truly cared about our dinning experience. After chatting with her awhile she recommended we stay for dinner and I’m so thankful she did. The steak was cooked to perfection. Every single thing she recommended was so good. She is a top notch waitress and will take care of you like family. We could not recommend boiler house more! Ask to be sat with Cynthia if you want to have an all around incredible experience!

Service was over the top, my complaint is they don’t take cash. The country has a value and a currency, using a cc is not a problem, but not accepting cash is just silly.

Made a visit with a S.A. local who wanted to show me The Pearl. Man what an amazing development and top notch restaurant with Boiler House. We sat at the bar on a Monday night so no big crowd, it is a beautiful building with tons of history. The menu is certainly a little pricey but I'm a firm believer in getting what you pay for. The filet was cooked perfect and the grits were a great side. I personally gave a huge thumbs up to the chef who cooked my steak. I will also mention what is often overlooked in fine dining, the temperature of the wine. The wine was perfectly chilled and decanted and was the icing on the cake with dinner. Fabulous experience, can't wait to go back.

Car here for a late diner on a Monday night. Nice atmosphere but the air on was cranked so a bit cold. Husband had the schnitzel in a German hunter sauce with Brussel sprouts that the waiter recommended. Very good! I just had a house salad which was fine. Service empty and friendly.

Incredible food and even better service!!! Kendalyn should get a raise!!! She was so thoughtful and on it! Making sure our every need was tended to!

Our meal was outstanding from start to finish. Our waitstaff, Darren, was phenomenal. He was attentive, friendly, warm and was very helpful in helping us with our meal decisions. We ate the grilled octopus, quail poppers, house salad, fries and broccolini. All of the food was exemplary. Highly recommend this restaurant and highly recommend Darren as waitstaff.

A very rich place, good wine, good service and excellent atmosphere. The staff is very friendly, the food is delicious and there is a great variety of wines and above all good recommendations.

We loved this place so much that we had to return for a second night in a row and we were so glad we did. From the moment we walked in, we loved the atmosphere of this restaurant. It was high energy, without being chaotic. The staff worked unbelieveably hard and the service was spectacular. We noticed that there seemed to be more staff at this restaurant than we have seen at other restaurants recently and they all seemed to love their jobs, which is a little hard to find these days. We ordered a great bottle of wine from Italy that has become our new favorite and especially enjoyed the Sea Scallops and the Crab Cakes. Chef Justin walked by our table and checked in just to see how we were enjoying our dinner and his attentive service was second to none. He even brought out his new special dessert, the Bread Pudding, on the house. Amazing. We had to come back a second night to try out the Dry Aged 22 Ounce Rib Eye. It was the best steak my husband said he has ever had. Once again, Chef Justin recommended his Pork Belly Appetizer that he had been perfecting and perfection, it was. So good! We split the steak between the two of us and couldn't resist topping it off with their chocolate torte. It was unbelievably rich, but delicious. We will tell all of our friends visiting San Antonio to visit this place and say hi to Chef Justin from his Wisconsin friends.

We were in San Antonio for my grandson's graduation from his medical training at Ft. Sam. Stopped in for lunch with our soldier and were very glad we chose this spot. There were 7 of us and we were seated promptly and waited on quickly. Our choices included the Boiler BLT (huge, with very crispy bacon as ordered), the BH burger with a fried egg, blue cheese and tomato jam, the Double, Double Steak Burger, the Prime Rib Philly and my personal selection - the Jacky Treehorn Burger. In my opinion, this was the star of the show with foie gras, peanut butter, green tomato habanero jam, applewood bacon, poblano cheese. No one flavor prevailed, rather it was a blending of all to create a yummy mix. I would definitely order it again. Our waiter Justin was attentive and left us alone when we lingered after lunch to catch up with our grandson.

So glad to see new and interesting items like the steak tartare and the beets and berries to change it up. This is what San Antonio needs!

The food was amazing, the service was top notch. I would definitely come back! Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

D’Juan served us and it he was the best server we’ve ever had the pleasure of having! Excellent job. Excellent steaks, and the whipped potatoes were great too. This was honestly one of the best meals I’ve ever had.

We there for a business dinner and had a private room, but it was glass walls with no top so heard all the noise from below! Food was quite good and server friendly and efficient! So if it were not for meeting would have a higher rating!

Our server was prompt and knowledgeable, when we told him it was our first visit he took time to explain the whole menu including his favorites and why. The mimosa for the group was a bottle of champagne with 3 different juice carafes- fun to try each one and mix them. Everyone enjoyed the appetizers and their meals -except for the kids meal. Cheese scrambled eggs were dry, overdone, hard. Luckily there was enough excellent food to fill us all. Will definitely eat here again but will skip the kids meals.

Start to finish, this was an excellent experience! All the staff was attentive and fun. Our server, Maurilio, made excellent recommendations for our light bite lunch. We tried the bison albondigas, quail poppers, olives and smoked trout spread with homemade chicharrones. Soooo good! We enjoyed it so much we went back the next day so we could try Maurilio’s other recommendation: shrimp ceviche, which was amazing! The margaritas are also quite refreshing with a good tequila pour. I’d definitely recommend Boiler Room!

We wandered up on a Saturday about noon - they weren't too busy - we sat outside at two tables- not sure why they wouldn't push two together, but whatever. At our table we had the salmon eggs Benedict and the brisket grilled cheese - both were crazy delicious - we couldn't stop eating even though we were stuffed! The fries were perfect, and the bloody Mary was one of the best I've ever had. The lemon olive oil cake was to die for - Sooo happy we stopped here for brunch!!

After leaving Brassier Mon Chou Chou (see my review of this restaurant for details of the horrible start to the evening) across the walk, we entered the Boiler House. We were greeted by some fabulous staff including a Mgr who happened to be at the hostess stand. We shared, "2 for dinner", and then decided to tell them the story from the other restaurant. Neither the Mgr or hostess that were there could believe a restaurant would not do something simple like that. We discussed their Poblano Pepper Mac & Cheese baked in an iron skillet. It sounded wonderful! We were taken to a nice 4 top and ordered some drinks and had a wonderful server - Cat (which I did think was funny since I'm Kat) We talked about our night and she also said the Poblano pepper Mac & Cheese was one of her favorites. Well, in this case we both decided to get it, and we really didn't need to combine anything else, even though they had a Broccolini side on the menu too. The choice to come here and I guess maybe the luck that it was across the walkway, well, this was the best part of the night!! The food, atmosphere and just the staff made our visit a fabulous night after a lousy start! I visit San Antonio 2-3 times a year, and I can guarantee we will be back to Boiler House!!! You should stop by too!

We sat at the bar and had a delicious lunch. Professional and friendly staff, Great atmosphere. Love the building with all the mechanics exposed from yesteryears!

Had dinner tonight at the Boiler House. The food was delicious and our server Auggie elevated the dining experience by being fun, friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend!

The food and service was great. Darrin was an exception server. Hey listen and made great recommendations. Very engaging. Of all the places at the pearl, this is our favorite.

Anissa was excellent, and attentive, never let our glasses go empty, we were met with a positive and prompt attitude throughout the entire service, I will definitely recommend not just the restaurant but this amazing server to anyone who is looking for a marvelous experience.

Absolutely Amazing!!! Food incredible! Customer service 10/10. Manager Jeremy came out and checked on our food. Checked to make sure our steaks were cooked to perfection. Christopher our waiter was so sweet and attentive!

We are Argentine, we are used to it and for us it is normal to eat good meat, but here the experience was excellent! The meat tender, well roasted, to the right point we ordered. The wine suggested by Cinthia, who served us in excellent standard was very good. We loved dessert too. Very happy! Congratulations!

I cannot stop raving about this restaurant, I was greeted by the best hostess ever. Tonya took my order within a timely manner and a smile on her face. Tonya delivered my food with quickness and made sure it was hot and fresh ready to go. I will happily come back to this restaurant next time.

Came here for Easter brunch. Started off with a nice cheese plate. The menu had a good mix of lunch and brunch items. I shared the gulf salad and Brussel sprouts with my husband. It was very good. The portion sizes were hugh. The location is fantastic and the service was good. Would go for brunch again.

The food was EXCELLENT and so was our server Auggie! Highly recommend Tomahawk Steak, whipped potatoes and Broccolini.

Had the cheese plate and the krispykreme burger- all over the top, in true Texas fashion. Portions were generous. Located smack in the heart of the Pearl Brewery complex. Nice for a lunch after a stroll through the farmer's market on a lazy Saturday.

Excellent wine selection. The quail appetizer was great. We had the rabbit and ribeye and both were excellent.

This is supposed to be a fine dining restaurant. Steaks without sides are in the $45-50 range. Our reservation was for 7. They had set a table for 6 (2 tables for 4 placed end to end) with 8 plates. Fortunately, only 5 could make dinner so one's plate didn't have to straddle the joint between tables. Two of us ordered their $15 signature old fashioned cocktails. They were too sweet to finish. We sent them back. They returned, half-filled, with no syrup--effectively whiskey on the rocks, which is OK since I like whiskey on the rocks, but it's not what I ordered. Then it was cleared before I finished it without inquiry. This bad beginning only got worse. My salad, a Caesar variation was an entire romaine heart cut in half with each half buttered with a nearly tasteless Caesar spread. There was enough lettuce for 4 salads. It barely fit on the plate and was an awkward knife and fork experience, not worth the work. We all ordered steaks. One rib-eye was "tough"; one was a tiny filet; mine was ordered medium-rare and was served medium to well, the last bites inedible. Three of us were served our steaks, the others had to wait a few minutes for theirs. Our sides were nowhere to be found. We took a few bites of meat hoping the sides would show up. The waiter went to check. A few minutes later the manager comes by to apologize. They are eventually served, but not before the tiny filets were finished. The sides were fine. Dinner done, we ordered coffee and were told it would take 5 minutes to brew. Fine. Five minutes later our "fresh brewed" but somehow only lukewarm coffee arrived, barely drinkable. I felt bad for our hosts. They were trying to thank us for our business and this restaurant did them a disservice. None of us will be back.

Boiler House is not a bad spot in the least, neither for food nor drinks. It just feels like they are trying to sell themselves as something superior to what they actually are. The place is gorgeously set and feels quite ad hoc to the surrounding industrial compound, which is not casualty, the whole Pearl complex shares such architectural trend and feeling. With this, what I’m trying to say is that Boiler House is just one more option in the neighborhood. Service was friendly, polite, and easygoing. I though it pretentious first but turned out to be the contrary. The waiter was chatty –for good, explanatory about the menu, and expedite. The food ranged on the “good” tier, far from memorable but still tasty. The Texan burger was plenty and well prepared, the house salad somehow dispirited but fresh and crisp, and the chocolate torte plain good. The shrimp ceviche, which we were told they were out of but later on appeared on our table, was extremely disappointing; tasteless, with almost no shrimp, and with more tortilla chips than ceviche. Regarding beers, though probably not Boiler House’s forte, the list was short, with the one I chose unavailable at the moment. Overall, Boiler House constituted an unmemorable experience. I wouldn’t recommend it and I’m not quite sure I’d give it a second chance, especially with other nearby restaurants to explore, which by the way, looked more packed and livelier than Boiler House.

Came here for my birthday because so many places were booked out for the eclipse and it was great! Loved our space indoors right by there open doors. Food and drinks were delicious and our server was so friendly and knowledgeable.

Chef Jarrad and his team turned out a fabulous meal as usual and Chelsea was our lovely attentive and fun server. Boiler House never disappoints, always look forward to time spent at Boiler House.

New Year's day we enjoyed lunch at Boiler House. Great drinks (the Bloody Mary was spectacular), great beer selection for my spouse, and yummy food, made for the perfect relaxation after an indulgent New Year's Eve! Servers were helpful and efficient and the vibe was relaxed and fun. Highly recommend!

Great location, good service and tasty food. Starters were amazing and my Rib eye was likewise. Would definitely return

had a couple of appetizers and 1 entree for date night quail, meatballs, and a snapper entree server was great and her recomendation for texas jazz was exactly what we were looking for alot was left to be desired for the $150 tab

Yes, the food taste amazing and the menu is the right size to make a decision quickly. Lots of local beers on tap, too. The interior is great for conversation and enjoying the ambience and people watching. My only negative observation has to do with the customers; parents when entrees in a restaurant are $30+ and up, please leave your screaming babies and children at home. If you can afford to eat out, you can probably afford a baby sitter.

The whole experience was amazing. Drinks, appetizers and entrees were outstanding. Highly recommend this place. Everything was fantastic.

Daren was GREAT! Very patent and attentive. Food and drinks were niiice. Table and chairs could use some help though...

The Pearl Brewery Area of San Antonio has become the alternate to The Riverwalk. There are lots of choices to eat. The Boiler House has to be on your list. Incredible Food and great atmosphere!!

My niece, Amber and her new husband, Greg Gonzalez made arrangements to have their small wedding gathering at The Broiler at the Pearl on August 1, 2025. They have been dating since junior high. 13 years. It was scheduled at 6:00 pm. The guests/ family arrived at 6:00 promptly and we were not seated til 7:00 pm, because the seating arrangement was incorrect. Her step father had a video and the staff could not find the light switch that was facing the wall. All others were turned off but that one that was critical not found. I have posted a video of it and staff got in front of it a couple of times. It was only 4 minutes the duration of their favorite song, and to be not seen because of lighting and the waiter interruption. Sad. The staff did turn off lights when requested, every light accept the most critical one. The one facing the wall. I stopped recording because it was not viewable… I was standing off to the side but if you were sitting at the tables in front all you saw was a light on the wall. Then to be rushed before 9:00 to leave, when we were seated an hour late!!!! I do not recommend this restaurant for any special event. I believe my niece on her wedding day for the poor quality of our seating service and dinner service, eating at 8:00 pm when our event was for 6:00 pm then rushed out by 9:00 pm should be compensated a refund for the money they paid and did not get full service or time. This post I will copy and paste on my Facebook. Many recommendations are by word of mouth. My mouth will not be recommending, The Broiler at the Pearl. It was my first visit as well as some of my family. I am certain we will think seriously of ever going back.

There were 6 of us. Everything we ordered was of high quality and tasted good. Everyone liked their food. The service was prompt and atmosphere great. But the bill was $450 with NO alcohol. Was it that good, not really, but it was good.

Great food. Great service. Just what we needed. Quail poppers, beats and truffle fries. Cocktails on point. Glad we stopped here.

The absolute greatest place I have ever been to. They were so attentive and helpful and loved their jobs. We were here celebrating a bachelorette trip and they gave us 4 free desserts. Jermey, the manager was the best, and our waiter Christopher was top notch. A true 10/10 experience

I ordered the $46 New York Strip Steak. It was full of gristle which made it very chewy. The meat had the texture as if it was from an old milk-cow. The steak should have been ground into hamburger. I was very disappointed and felt 'taken' as a tourist and first time visitor. There are many other SA places that serve better tasting and textured Texas meats.

Can’t say enough about this amazing restaurant! We stayed down on the river walk and everyone keep saying try the pearl! We walked in on a Saturday night over a 2hr wait and go lucky bar seats!! Even more lucky to have Bobby the manager assisting the amazing servers. We loved his smiling face and how professional the staff and service was. Our amazing server recommended an amazing wine and meal. So much so that we went back twice!! Thank you for two amazing dinner and for making our trip!

Fun atmosphere with interesting architecture. Great service. Recommend the Bloody Mary, BLT mac n cheese, AND a side of bacon.

One of the best Filets I have ever eaten. The food was outstanding we had two fillets with mushrooms and grilled onions and both got dessert. Drinks where great as well. The a pearl district is definitely a step up from the river walk restaurants for sure. Worth the Uber ride

This is my go to place ! Always enjoy the food and atmosphere. D’Juan was out waiter and he was absolutely awesome! Totally attentive and super friendly. Ask for him when you’re here and you’ll be in good hands.

If you order a salad ask for a side salad or they will bring you a huge $13 salad. Don’t expect to get ranch dressing. Prepare to pay. Three meals were ordered, our bill was over $300. Very disappointing. Manager asked about our meal we told him about the salads, he could care less. For 3 sides salad we were charged $40.

They don’t care if you’re solo, on a date, or doing a business meeting. The professionalism with the staff is higher than most places. There’s a reason they’re in the top 3 steakhouses of San Antonio. They earned it

Everything was made with the freshest ingredients and you could taste the subtle blend of flavors. Our server was attentive and made us feel at home.

After walking around seeing the sights we stopped by for a cold beer and appetizer. The hummus was fantastic and the bread. ..it kept coming! It was delicious and HOT. Our server Ricardo was so sweet and the others were courteous as well. We will be back for sure. Thank you Pearl Boiler House!

had dinner but was disappointed - They had only a limited menu and some of their better dishes were missing. i had a rib-eye which was OK, my wife had the grilled salmon and she liked it. this seems to be more of a bar verses a restaurant.

Had a super dinner experience at the boiler house restaurant in the Pearl brewery section of San Antonio. Great atmosphere in a rustic industrial legacy setting, loved the pork shank entrée, it was Outabounds. Can’t wait to get back. Great cocktails during happy hour before six.

We arrived early for our reservation. This was not an issue as the hostess offered to seat us early. It was at a high table which we did not want. We waited until a low table outside was available. We placed our water and drink orders and we received our waters and then nothing. Two tables that were seated after us received their drinks, their appetizers and meals. There were 2 of us and 4+ of each of the other 2 parties. We still had not received our beverages. At this time we left we left our purchased bottled waters on the table. The waitress was condescending and not helpful. As we are moving to San Antonio and are house-hunting, we will likely not return too the Boiler Room and certainly would recommend against people going here.

After taking a walk all over THE PEARL we chose The Boiler House and it hit the spot!!!! It has the variety and ambiance we were looking for. Darren our waiter was the icing on the cake. His suggestions were exactly what we were looking for!

Boiler House is a great place for Brunch down at The Pearl. There is indoor, outdoor and bar seating for great people watching and conversation. The staff is friendly and helpful. Today we had grapefruit mimosas and Bloody Maria’s. Bloody Maria’s made with tequila vs. Vodka. Yum! Today, at our table we had Devilish Piggy Benedict and Ultimate Flank Steak and Eggs. Both were delicious. The Piggy Benedict came with house-made deviled ham and pork belly; as well as the most delicious roasted potatoes.

We booked a table to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was a great experience! The food was excellent with super flavors! Burrata cheese appetizer was amazing! Our entrees were delicious; smoked pork chop cooked to perfection and baby ice berg wedge salad had fresh scratch made green goddess dressing. Our server Darin offered us complementary mini champagne toast, a wonderful flavored beet with strawberry dish and a delicious little lemon dessert ( semifreddo). He definitely made our dinner special!

Went there for dinner with four adults and 3 children. Small choice for the kids but very good. I had the BLT which was delicious but a small sandwich. My husband had the Cheeseburger which was large and delicious. In all the food was very good, but I felt over priced. Liked the industrial atmosphere. The service was good. Overall a good and enjoyable experience.

Food was upscale and delicious !! Full bar also. Our Bartender was friendly and helpful too. We would definitely go back. Restaurant is in the Pearl Brewery complex. This is also one of the destinations on the Hop On, Hop Off bus route as well.

My family visited this week for dinner. What a disappointment. We had a two hour wait for dinner which was ok. We did ask if there was any probability for earlier seating and immediately were told "oh no, we will be seated at our reserve time" that was fine. Issue #1, we were permitted to wait at the bar but when I moved some chairs to accommodate my family, two of the bartenders had a fit about the chairs; we returned three chairs where they came from. Issue #2, a larger table became available at the bar, which we took to continue our wait. Again, another bartender had a fit and kicked us off that table giving me some lame excuse that he wasn't sure but the hostess might want to give that table to others. Mind you, we were all planning to have drinks during the wait thereby increasing the restaurant's profits. By that time, I became upset at the restaurant staff regarding our treatment as customers. All of a sudden, they miraculously found a table available and sat us down for dinner. To the restaurant and hostess at the front, what was the strict seating time all about?? My family and I were perfectly ok with waiting/having our drinks but because of poor customer service, our Boiler Room experience was ruined and some drink sales eliminated. Welcome to San Antonio. A bit of education, standard restaurant protocol is: first come first serve at the bar especially if you have a waiting list. In the dining room, reserve seating. Here's the sad part, at these prices, you better provide the best customer service you can or you won't be in business very long. Next time, we will take our money elsewhere.

The place has good food and good service. Its in a desirable locationice. Next time we're in the area we will be back.............

New York Steak, tough as anything, side salad watery tasteless. Pork meal tasteless and no sauce. Wedge salad tiny and tomatoes and cucumber non existent. Wine too young. Constantly heard kitchen arguing although our waiter was lovely the rest let the place down. Wrecked a great weekend in San Antonio. Avoid.

Quail poppers were the best part of our meal. Nothing special for a birthday reservation. Wine and service were very good. Date really enjoyed his pork loin. Busy and bustling patio.

The Pearl is a terrific, trendy area. Unfortunately, Boiler House isn't representative of its finest. The venue is welcoming and the staff is really friendly, but the food suffers from trying to be imaginative and the quality is average at best. We had the salmon -- it was dry. And the braised pork shank was OK but a far cry from the juicy versions so many other local eateries offer. Even the fancy Kobe hamburger with foie gras and blue cheese was unimpressive -- maybe too many cute ingredients and the overall effect fell flat. So much for a $26 burger. On the upside, the service was great, but the prices were those of an upscale restaurant in San Antonio ($40+ for steaks, $9 to 12 salads, e.g.) and the food not the equal of many mid-range places.

We had a great time here with the help of our waiter of the night, Darren. The service was great and the food was phenomenal. Overall, a great experience for our very special date night.

We were here back in February of 2019 and we loved it. All the food the drinks were top notch! So therefore I have been bragging on the place ever since. Well you guessed it we came back tonight and ordered the Center cut Pork Chops, the 14oz Ribeye and the Wagu burger. The child with us ordered the Mac and cheese with fruit. The girls had to return their pork chops due to the fact they were tough and still pin with no flavor. My ribeye was tough and had gristle for $48.00. It was flavored well but tasted like the chef might ha e dropped the salt in seasoning. We wound up ordering the girls the Wagu burger of which I tasted and did not like the Gorgonzola cheese in there but they liked theirs. We had water and left total bill was $189.00 for four adults and a child. I won’t be back nor will I recommend this restaurant ever again to anyone.

In town to meet friends. Met them here for drinks and dinner. Our server, Ahmad, was top notch. He was very attentive without getting in the way, was knowledgable on the menu and participated in our playful banter. Grilled shrimp appetizer, meatballs, pork shank, tuna were all great selections. Atmosphere is really cool and good location to walk around after you eat too much of the great food.

Awesome food, awesome ambiance, awesome service. Makes for a fun date night spot. BTW try the bread pudding, it taste so good it makes you wonder why you didn't start your meal with dessert.

Came here from Brunch on a Saturday while visiting town and the farmers market. Food was great, had the Krispy Kreme burger which was full of flavor, my wife had the Mac 'n cheese which based on other tables we ordered the two more popular dishes, both were good choices. Also had their bloody mary which was perfect, good flavor and some nice heat but not overly complicated.

We came for dinner to celebrate mine and my husband’s anniversary. Our Service was excellent, food was fantastic!! We will come back.

Auggie was an amazing server! We loved the food and service so much!!! We can’t wait to come back!

Here is my overall experience: - I have been sat in a very dirty table.(see pics) - the server (he) never introduce himself nor check on our table when the food was served until he stopped by and asked if we are ready for the check. - the kids asked for juice and were served a quarter cup( see pictures) - the food was good but the service was not up nor close to the expectations. I am in events operations/ F&B business and Personally will never comeback nor refer this restaurant.

Very nice atmosphere/decor, clever cocktails, and friendly bartenders. Great location within the charming Pearl District.

We planned out most of our restaurants over a long weekend, but picked the Boiler House to enjoy the outside seating on a warm December day. This lunch ended up being our favorite meal of the trip! The service was outstanding.Even though they're heavy on wine and beer, this place favorite Margarita of the weekend. We had a special lamb pot pie (incredible) as well as menu options of spare ribs (mouth watering) and the pork schnitzel (incredible flavors). We were stealing food off each other's plates the whole meal. Very reasonable prices for quite generous servings on the lunch plates. I would definitely recommend people check this place out when you're looking for a great Pearl District restaurant.

Susie is a great bartender and the food is stellar. It is always a great experience when we come here. Would highly recommend!!

I had a bees knees cocktail (gin, honey, lemon), and it was delicious. I ordered a filet and the brussel sprouts. It was the most expensive meal I've ever had, so I had very high expectations. They messed up my order, and though I felt badly about sending it back, they were very accommodating. Everything was delicious, but I was expecting a bit more. I actually thought the brussel sprouts were better than the steak, but only by a little bit.

We had high expectations. While the food was a B+, the service was quite challenged. Between having to wait quite a while for our drinks/wine, our order was missed with items missing, inaccurate preferences, and a general lack of service excellence for the price paid. The Restaurant was not busy enough to warrant such a lack of attention to detail. There was no urgency around service recovery at all. Overall, we had an enjoyable meal but it could have been significantly better had our server paid better attention and had she cared a bit more.

This is a huge shoutout to Daren for his service!! He made the entire meal euphoric and so very special. When we came in, a previous group had made the hostess, Ariana, life extremely difficult, and she was able to switch into a welcoming, vivacious attitude in a blink. Unbelievably sweet and thoughtful! We told our server why we were visiting and that it was our last night. He asked us to trust him with suggestions, and he did not disappoint! We ordered steak and salmon. Surprised us with an off menu app and dessert paired with amazing beer and wine. Please go here and be kind to their staff. They will change your life.

Fabulous service and customer interaction. The entire staff was excellent from the hostess to the bartender to the wait staff. Everyone was so friendly and it made for a great experience. The cocktail menu was very good as were the wines recommended for pairing with your meal. Their Old Fashioned and Manhatten's were excellent as was the Tempranillo with Dinner. The meal was the Pork Shank with polenta and the Salmon and Shrimp in a Buerre Blanc Sauce. The presentation was very good and it all tasted even better. We had heard that the whiskey bacon caramel corn was good and if you enjoy any of those elements, you need to try it as it was awesome. I will get it again. We got it to go this time and even the next day it was wonderful. Happy to find this little gem in San Antonio.

We went to your restaurant for a late lunch with some great friends of ours for the first time at the Boiler House and we were all excited to try somewhere new for a party of 6 patrons. When we walked in the room in back of the bar was empty. So when we asked for a table for six the receptionist seemed confused. Another lady walked up and said “can I help you”? We said we need a table for six. She started looking at the same thing the other lady was looking at. Another lady walked up with 6 menus and said follow me, and took us to the very tables we saw as we walked in. Not sure where the confusion was. When we sat down for dinner the tables were sticky and a lot of confusion trying to figure out drinks was definitely a challenge. Needless to say our waiter for the entire time we were there never offered to refill one of our guests sweet tea or offer to get another’s shiner Bock beer. Our guests ended up sharing the water that was left on the table. Waiter seemed more interested in talking to other waiters, and rolling utensils in black cloth napkins. I always always leave 20 to 30% tip because I know how it feels to be a waiter and try to live on tips!!!! This time I only left 10% and that’s even too much. I felt sorry for our waiter especially being Christmas! We told the waiter before we ordered drinks or anything, that two of the people in the party had allergies which we pointed them out. One of our guests is allergic to fish and shell fish, and the other to onions. So we also ordered the venison slider appetizer that came out just minutes before our dinner arrived. We had literally just cut the sliders in half and our food was coming out. The sliders were actually pretty good. It turned out that was the best part of our dinner! Minutes later the main course came out. Three of our guests ordered the hamburger. The blue cheese mixed with what tasted like Parmesan type cheese was so thick you couldn’t hardly taste the meat. Two of the three guest food went to waist. With the hamburgers came bowls of fried pork skins. A little seasoning is great with pork skins but they were drenched in really hot sauce. My wife is from India and loves hot food. Our other guest is from Columbia South America and she also likes hot food. These pork skins were so spicy that both ladies were coughing and reaching for water. There was so much sauce it was pooled up still in the bottom of the bowls. we moved the skins and piled them up between the other two bowls to show the waiter. These pork skins went to waste as well. Everyone was served except the guest with the onion allergy. We thought since her plate was late that it was because of special preparation. When it was brought out to us, there were pickled onions on the plate right next to her pork chop and onions in the beans and coleslaw. When we pointed it out the waiter that we told earlier about allergies he looked at us dumbfounded. Then I said she’s allergic to onions. He was like oh I’m sorry let me take this back. The pork chop I had was really tough . I typically don’t waste meat and neither does my family. But we had about a whole pork chop left between two people. So After waiting another 45 minutes for a another pork chop for our guest with the allergy to onions, It was brought out with half cooked cabbage and the pork chop on top. It also had burnt sliced potatoes that were supposed to be mashed potatoes the waiter told our guest she would get. We pointed it out to our waiter but all he said was he would bring it up to the cook. We were never allowed to talk to a manager, and we got charged for the whole meal at a cost of $230 plus tip. Best thing about the meal was the venison sliders at $17 for three sliders 🍔 and the desert was a lemon cake with olive oil drizzle with a mix berry ice cream. Super disappointing meals and waiter service!!! As we were leaving the waiter tried to convince us we should to go try their sister restaurant.

Jasmien was great and the food was excellent. Service was quick and location is clean. Had a super lunch

Our family of 3 couples dined here after visiting the Pearl area earlier. The restaurant was bustling, food was fantastic and our server Suzanne was attentive and friendly. We ate delicious Texan steak which was cooked to perfection and chose a few sides including broccolini, charred Brussel sprouts and mash. Wine list was good and food was great, although expensive. I highly recommend dining here , so be sure to book ahead to avoid disappointment.

Incredible environment and staff. Menu diversity and quality are fantastic every which way, and service is attentive and careful from beginning to end.

My husband and I were in for a short visit for my birthday and had dinner here. Everything from start to finish was exceptional. Erica was our server and was so attentive, everything she recommended was amazing. We visited Spain in November and this restaurant surpassed any restaurant we had there!! So, so good, highly recommend!!! Thank you for a memorable birthday!!!!

The food was delicious! Our waitress Suzie S was amazing! She kept checking on us and made sure we had everything we needed!

Loved this old Pearl Brewery repurposed to be Hotel Emma and Boiler House restaurant. Very interesting with a lot of the original equipment left behind. Cousin and I (along with spouses) first visited in the hotel lobby and looked around, then had lunch. We had reservations for 1:00 but they let us come in early around noon. Wine, beer and cocktails list on the menu longer than the menu! Steaks are a la carte at $40-$99 apiece but for only $11 more you can get red potatoes and green beans! Waitstaff very nice but they were out of iced tea (in Texas????) as well as several of the entrees my cousin wanted?! I got a burger and some fried potatoes…burger was huge and I could only eat half and some of the potatoes were pretty good but about half of them were burned up and inedible. Hubby got a Philly cheesesteak with way too much cheese but especially enjoyed the potato salad. Overpriced for quality of the food in my opinion.

This restaurant is me and my wife’s favorite spot at the Pearl, whether it is to drop in and grab a bite, or to sit down and have a nice dinner. The food is amazing and the service is even better. We have had the privilege of having Anissa and Darren as our servers and they are an absolute delight and love serving others. This spot will remain our go to for visitors that come from out of town. 1 Corinthians 10:31 Soli Deo Gloria

Rodger was absolutely exceptional. He paid very close attention to detail, he was very considerate and congratulated us on our first year anniversary. Rodger truly understands what it means to provide exceptional service. I am a service manager at BMW of San Antonio, the biggest BMW dealer in the continent. Service is all I know, and Rodger was perfect in his service. Very grateful for this restaurant and Rodger for their services. Thank you guys

We went for brunch on a Saturday. Not crowded at all. Had salmon eggs Benedict. Fairly good. Hubby had pancakes. VERY LARGE portion. Service was very good.

Thesis on meatballs were exceptional, as was thr trout. I didn't try a dessert, but they also looked yummy. And excellent place to eat while "people watching."

Darren and Hunter served us and did an amazing job Recommending the perfect options that went well with pairing the steak and drinks. I highly recommend checking the new options on the menu, The “espresso cowboy rub” needs to go on every steak I eat from now on.

Had such a great experience there! We had the happy hour charcuterie & wine deal and it was sooo good. Roger was amazing with us and made sure everything was just to our liking! He was super helpful with his recommendations! Over all I recommend!! I also love the interior and the musicccc 😍 such a vibe!

Great place great food and all the people working were friendly and kind. Ordered lunch and cocktails everything came out timely and was delicious. Great area to hangout around the pearl and drop in here for good drinks and food. Highly recommend!

My husband made reservations to celebrate Valentine’s Day early on 02/13/21. We not only had the most amazing time enjoying the ambiance, the food and staff were amazing!!!

The family, 6 of us, went for dinner. We had apps, they were very good. Drinks were good. Dinner was inconsistent. One Cesar salad was supposed to be chicken, came out steak. Salmon dish was excellent. Two of us had 10 oz strip steak. We both ordered them medium well, one came out very moist and the other tough and dry. For the price there needs to be more consistency and not for tough and dry.

Not sure about their regular menu, but we split the culinary special which included romaine salad, a huge serving of chicken salad with mixed greens on the side and a toffee cake topped with caramel and vanilla toppings. It was scrumptious and filling. One of the best meals we have had in San Antonio.

I came here for Easter brunch after having come to Boiler House years prior where I left unimpressed, but today? The difference was night and day. Especially for a buffet setting that is hard to manage in general, much less one that has 2 concurrent areas, operating breakfast and lunch autonomously. The buffet tables were clean, the hot food was hot, the cold food was cold, the servers were speedy and accommodating. If you’re like me, and love the idea of omelettes but always end up feeling let down by them—you must get an omelette here! Not only that, but for most buffets that have this kind of variety of food options in both breakfast and lunch, one can usually assume that at least a few dishes will probably be mediocre, and maybe some that have missed the mark. However, this was not the case at Boiler House. Every single dish was not just good—it was beyond expectations! On top of all this, they are reasonably priced which is especially respectable considering the wonderful ambiance and location. Hats off to the manager, the chef, the cooks and our lovely server Viktar for making this a memorable Easter for my family!

Rachel and Susie were amazing! They were so attentive to every question, and explain your menu, explicitly. Their attention to detail was amazing, and personable. You should be proud to have them on your staff. Jack and Lynn California

It was ok. Food was pretty good but the staff had attitudes! The hostess staff were not helpful at all. We had a large group with a reservation but no attempt was made to accommodate our basic requests. Do not plan to go back.

Dec. 2020 during the pandemic - they are still open. Had the quail wrapped in bacon, and the salmon dish. Both delicious. Always a delicious meal here. Ambience is also the best here, and right by the River Walk.

NEVER GOING BACK. Not only are they not socially distancing tables inside, their service is absolute garbage. We waited 45 minutes for an appetizer that never came. We finally had to cancel and leave. Then they offered to get a manager who never bothered to show up. Awful experience, never going back.

the bartender roger was so amazing! super attentive and super helpful. offered amazing recommendations when it came to wine pairings! definitely made the visit!

Love this cool, nest restaurant to meet old and new friends for dinner. Every yr us military wives try to get together and this is a nice place to host us. The staff was friendly, the drinks were tasty and the food was wonderful. We ordered every appetizer and shared amongst the ladies. If in the area, will definitely go back.

Had late lunch there today, and had a great dining experience! Our server David was super professional and friendly. We opted to share a fee appetizers and drinks, and everything tasted great. We did have a few issues with our food and a small incident that happened with a server dropping something near our table but the management made it right by us. Bobby, the manager on duty, was ab absolute legend, and made sure any issues we had was taking care off. The atmosphere was very laid back, and the food was pretty good. But the reason why we will be going back, was the outstanding dedication from the staff, and the attention to details. Thanks to Bobby and his staff for such great customer service!

Magnificent food and incredible service. Delicious wine and food. Quail poppers and the apple stuffed pork loin were delicious.

Agustin made this a night to remember!!! He was the best waiter I’ve ever had!!! Thank you for a great experience! The food was amazing and the drinks are even better! I recommend coming here for sure!

Excellent service, great location (Saturday farmers market was happening right outside the entrance, with live music, dancing, shopping, food and drink). We were a party of 4 adults and everything was perfect. Cocktails were exactly what we were hoping for, and the food was creative and tasty.

We went to the Pearl and decided to have lunch a the Boiler House. I decided to order the Prime Rib Philly Cheese Steak sandwich which is something I never would normally order as I usually order somewhat healthy dishes but wanted beef. This was the most delicious sandwich on a toasted hot dog roll with onions and peppers. It is served with delicious potato salad. This would absolutely be my recommendation. They have a wonderful menu and it is a very nice place for lunch or dinner.

Cold food, cold plates - A steak house severs on cold plates - Ridiculous! How does this happen - Gave polite feedback - Well received.

First time at the Boiler House for dinner and it was excellent. We had the crab cakes, smoked salmon dip, Big Texas burger and steak Caesar Salad. Everything was delicious and the staff was extremely friendly and very attentive

Enjoyable food, excellent beer, and a great atmosphere. What not to like ! Visited in a mid week night, but still lively

We came here because of the large number of positive reviews. However, we left unimpressed. We arrived to a quiet restaurant in the late afternoon and were seated right away. Then the server came to take our order. The person I was with order a glass of wine and I wasn’t sure yet and asked for another minute. But in the meantime I asked for a glass of water. The wine was delivered within a minute. Yet I didn’t get my glass of water for over 10min. We eventually had to chase down our server, to ask about the water and to order. Again, the restaurant wasn’t busy. At that time, I also decided to order a beer. When I got the beer, my glass was only ¾ of the way full. When we got the food it was decent, but nothing to write home about. Overall, we left thinking we must have eaten at the restaurant on a bad day. Because we aren’t sure what would have caused so many positive reviews. Overall, we found that our expectations of restaurants in the Pearl were set way too high.

Not cheap but some very quality and thoughtfully prepared offerings. W live about 300 feet from this venue so pop in from time to time. Its pricey but most ia well worth it. Love the quail legs, beets and cheese side and the venison sliders are just superb. Steak offerings are nicely done but, well....$$$. But if you want a great steak.. DO IT. Super Brussel Sprouts. These are half off bottles of wine! We darn sure take advantage of that. I consider this venue as the best food (sit down meal) in the Pearl area... Cheers

Chef Justin knows his way around the kitchen! Fantastic food and service. Must add to your San Antonio itinerary. We will be back for sure.

Stopped in for Happy Hour on a weekend trip. The Big Texan Patriot Burger was delicious as was the Grilled Steak Skewer. Excellent service and food!

Large group for a company party. Quail poppers and bison meatballs were very tasty. Drinks are good. Limted beer selection, but good choices. Grilled salmon was outstanding. Sides were delicious although the creamed spinach could have used more spinach. The one thing that prevented a 5th star was thay the prime rib was very tough. Service was pretty spot on.

Walking through the Pearl area and this seemed like a nice place, shady, outdoor dining and no wait. We had walked from the Riverwalk area so were ready to sit and eat. Husband had pancakes with eggs and potatoes on the side, and I had quiche, which came with a great spinach salad. I loved my meal. The drinks looked good but we were just having water. Could watch the Oklahoma / TU game and people watch at the same time. Would come here again.

Adorable restaurant in the Pearl District. Menu looked amazing but we just had drinks and their famous popcorn appetizer.

were visiting the area and dropped in for a drink. Decent selection of whiskies and the food looked incredible.

This was my second visit to Boiler House. I shared the tomahawk which was cooked to perfection. The flavor was delightful and steak was quite juicy. We got the quail poppers for an appetizer and they were full of flavor and the sauce was a perfect pairing. The service was impeccable and the atmosphere great for a business meeting or date.

We were a party of 13. First time for some of my friends. I didn’t like the food this time; it was cold. The service was excellent but no the food.

Great food. Fun atmosphere. Agustin was a great server. He was very knowledgeable about the menu & came with suggestions. This was our 3rd time here but 1st time actually eating & not just having drinks. Have never had a bad experience here.

Went there on a Saturday and it was kinda hit and miss. First, the service was excellent so that always helps. But it’s hard to make up for the average food. My wife and I split a bacon cheeseburger with red potatoes and we had the meatball appetizer. The burger was dry and average, the red potatoes were great but the meatballs were dry and had way to much of some seasoning. They knew we were splitting so the chef actually divided and it came out on 2 plates. Those little things really help but they need to work on the food.

We went to Broiler House for my birthday. Service was great, atmosphere was as well, and food was on point. We both had the wedge salad with added salmon, and “table bread”, which there was a charge for. The thing that really put us off was when we asked for butter, which we were then charged additional for. Seriously? We should have canceled the bread order right then out of principle, but didn’t. People want a good Atmosphere (check), good food (check), and good service (check); however, the “nickel and dime” approach simply ticks people off and is simply insulting in a higher-end restaurant. I hope the extra dollar you charged for butter to put on our bread was worth it, as that is the reason I won’t return. You don’t expect to fly first class only to be up-charged for extras like you were traveling in coach… it’s a shame too, as I liked the place otherwise.

Lots of choices at Pearl, and we settled on Boiler House since their menu seemed interesting. Had the schnitzel, which was cooked to perfection. Another in our party had the boar lasagna which was bursting with flavor. Also enjoyed the beet salad.

Suzie was awesome. Dinner was great!!! Service was perfect…………………………. Max and cheese yummy……… manhattan was good. They got heaters setup which was awesome outside

My date and I had a great time! D’Juan recommended the crab cakes and they were amazing! All of the food was great and the experience was incredible! D’Juan enhanced the experience as a good waiter should!

Have lived in SA now for a couple of years and constantly run/walk past this place. Finally had a chance to stop in for an afternoon work lunch and was not disappointed at all. Staff greeted us as soon as we walked in and we were quickly taken back to our table. The inside of the restaurant was very nice and very clean; you can tell that the staff takes pride in their work. I ordered the BLT, which came with the house potato salad. The food and the service from the entire staff did not disappoint. All the wait staff, host staff, and chefs were beyond professional and did not hover around or make you feel rushed when you were done with your meal, allowing for extra conversation with everyone. This is definitely one of the best places I have had the pleasure of eating at in San Antonio.

My wife and I brought my folks for our first time here, arriving a little early for our 7:45 reservation. We were seated immediately and our server quickly greeted the table and took our drink order of wine and cocktails. We started our meal with a charcuterie board and the bacon-wrapped quail poppers, and the latter were amazing. Each couple split a romaine salad and a 22oz cowboy-cut ribeye as we didn’t want to leave any leftovers and we shared green beans, whipped potatoes, and the salchipapas, which were our favorite side. Stuffed to the gills, we opted out of dessert, vowing to return for another run at the menu. If you’re visiting the Pearl and looking for an exceptional steak, drop in to The Boiler House.

We arrived to the restaurant at 9:30pm and received prompt and courteous service. We both had steaks that were pretty good. Got a great bottle of wine for a good price.

The tall skinny waiter with the Eastern European accent is a liar!!! First of all I accept responsibility for teasing, we had been laughing and having fun with him. I joked about my order and then clarified. My wife, and I were going to share a meal. We were brought two. As I mentioned I accepted responsibilities and took the meal. When the check came there were an additional 2 items on the check we did not order totaling an additional $42. Waiter stated “wrong table” he lied. I looked at the check and another in the group looked at the check, it was spot on for all the rest, specifying how each was cook this was the right check for our table. After confronted he took them off. I paid for the extra meal. Later we discussed the whole situation and at the time after joking I had asked the waiter to repeat the order as I had joked around with him. When the order was repeated he had it correct, I wish we had discussed further at the table. The food was great! I would not go back because if they are not going to hire trustworthy employees, I will not go. I want to enjoy my meal and not have to be double checking everything. I almost always joke around with staff to just have some fun with them and have NEVER had any mix up like this.

We had such an amazing time at Boiler House for our girls weekend! Tristan was an incredible server and we had so much fun chatting with him. He gave great recommendations and we can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend!

I’ve debated writing this review because I believe it was just a bad night for them. The hostess doesn’t understand how to seat people. It’s either a new person or a training issue but that needs some work. The whiskey and bacon kettle corn should be awesome. It’s not. It tastes stale. If I had to bet, it’s probably made well in advance of dinner and after soaking in whiskey and then drying out, well.... The dry aged strip is great. Simply great. The cheese plate has the best presentation I’ve seen. So, I recommend you give it a try. Hopefully it was just an off night.

We had Sunday lunch here before exploring the Farmers Market. Food was excellent. We each had a salad, one w salmon, the other with shrimp. Both were delicious. Service was excellent as well. If you like strong iced tea, order a different drink, it was drinkable but very mild.

We arrived without reservations and since it was Saturday night they were booked! When we called a pleasant woman on staff recommended that we come and sit at the bar. We decided to go for it and when we arrived we sat at the bar and had stellar service! Our bar tender was very nice and attentive. The tenderloin was amazing as the loaded mashed potatoes. We could have easily split the whole meal as the servings were more than ample. It was a great meal and the Pearl District is such a fun area. Don’t miss having a drink at the Hotel Emma ( Boiler restaurant is here) . Such a grand hotel with a very rich history.

Strolled the Riverwalk from the beginning to the Pearl district. Decided to get an early dinner and came upon Boiler House. Ratings were good so we decided to try it and were so glad we did. Restaurant week menu was great. Then there was Auggie our server, the man, the myth, the legend! Asked for his table based on other reviewers, so happy we did! Very personable, fun and efficient. He made great recommendations and we enjoyed bantering with him. Shout out also to the lovely young ladies at the front desk who were able to get us in. Would definitely return if/when we are back in San Antonio!

Nice ambience. Nice staff. Very disappointed with the food. All 4 of us were very surprised by the poor quality for the price. If you are looking for a quality dinner this is not the place.

We had excellent cocktails here. They were unique and so yummy. We also had the cheese and onion spread with toast. They gave us extra toast as needed. The onions were sauteed and draped on top of the cheese spread. It was large in quantity and devoured. Service was excellent. Will return for dinner soon.

My husband and I had the best meal we have had in a very long time, along with extraordinary service. Darren and Lainey were extremely accommodating and portrayed an impressive extent of menu knowledge, especially in regard to the wine. They were enjoyable and made it very clear that they cared about our experience as a whole. The manager, Jeremy also paid a visit to the table and was very kind and welcoming. You can tell that he sets a great precedent in leadership for his team. It seems to be a common theme. We will 100% come back. Cant wait for our next SA visit!

I was in San Antonio for a conference and wanted to check out the Pearl District. Based on the menus at the restaurants, I made reservations at Boiler House for dinner with clients. We all loved the atmosphere - fun, industrial style; not stuffy. and we loved the food. We had the cheese board to start. It was nice variety and plenty for three people. I had the scallops and was very impressed. It was a $7-ish Uber ride from the Riverwalk, so easy to get to, and the Pearl District is definitely worth seeing.

Had absolutely amazing service. Wonderful food the trufle fries were to die for. Our main courses were delicious the steak was a perfect medium rare. We were very satisfied!!!

What an amazing the food was exquisite! We were delighted with everything we ordered . The bacon wrap quail poppers is a must . The steak was cooked perfectly! Kudos to chef Justin who made our experience an unforgettable one . Drinks were on point too Nicolas and Jason surprised us with their knowledge and service . We are coming back for sure and recommend Boiler house for a great dinner and time .

Prices were a little high and a side should be included at no charge. 2 of us had steaks with only a glass of wine and a soda, a shared small appetizer and a shared side and a shared dessert came to over $140. Steaks were really good as were the mashed potatoes side dish. Caramel corn and bacon nibbler app was good but not much there. Chocolate pecan pie with cinnamon ice cream was ok... slightly burnt Taste. Place was noisy bar atmosphere.

Incredible food and great atmosphere. Wonderful cocktail selection and the servers are excellent. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE PORK SHANK. Definitely a great place for a long dinner with friends or for business.

I have been to the boiler house twice now and both times have been spectacular. From the food, such as the 16oz Pork Chop, to the drinks like the espresso Martini and the Texas Old Fashion, both times have been amazing. What has put one of these visits above the other is our server. On our 2nd trip, Darren was phenomenal. He took care of us, told us wine parings, and even helped describe what dishes would go with what drinks. He even went above and beyond, helping celebrate my anniversary with a dessert on the house. The experience was absolutely phenomenal and Darren made it all the better.

We went here hoping for a delicious meal and great ambiance. The atmosphere was superb, the food not so much, at least to our taste. It is beyond me, how a restaurant that serves steak, has no offering of a potato, not a single spud. Somehow, fancy pork rinds are sold as the substitute for the aforementioned root vegetable. I had the $26 hamburger that I pawned off to my wife for her salad with dark chicken meat. For me the burger was slathered in some sort of off tasting special sauce that I found not the least bit appetizing. My wife found the burger to be edible, but definitely not the superbly delicious meal she was expecting. The service was acceptable, but not the exceptional service we have experienced at other fine dining establishments. Unless they totally revamp the menu, I can never see my family ever eating here again.

We had a lovely brunch here. The food was really nice and the service was outstanding. I had the Mac and cheese and it was really tasty. Good portion size not too big. Lovely glass of champagne too boot. Decent coffee afterwards. Would like to have an evening meal next visit to San Antonio.

We recently went here for a after dinner drink while in the Pearl Area. The bartender was friendly and made a fine drink. We will defiantly be back for dinner.

Victor was amazing and attentive!! He made my sister’s birthday experience so very special, food was exceptional. Recommend the steak and scallops! Great place to dine in the Pearl district!!

Went here without a reservation and our great hostess Lainie found a table during a busy night. Nico B. was our server, ask for him!! Our food was really good. Now I want to go back and try other dishes that looked delicious but unfortunately I was on a business trip and had to leave the next day. If I get back to San Antonio this is one place I will come back to!

It wasn’t bad, but I certainly didn’t walk away thinking how amazing it was. Appetizers (churros and kettle corn - no, I didn’t order it!) were just time-fillers. Uninteresting and bland. Salads were salads, they were fine. Three of us got ribeyes and one got the fillet. All cooked exceptionally well, and seasoning was good - except they were heavily salted. Very heavily. For sides, beets were ok, potatoes were very good, brussel sprouts were bland and luke warm. Dessert was chocolate-pecan pie. I don’t know if this was homemade or not, but it was average at best. The cinnamon ice cream on top was pretty good. Bottom line? I wasn’t wowed to begin with. For $85/person (1 drink each. Final bill was $335) I expect a heckuva lot better.

Roger is an amazing host! He went above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were met and even brought out a surprise cake for my cousins birthday to celebrate. We will be back in the future! Great place and great ambiance.

The area where the Pearl brewery used to be is a great place to visit when in San Antonio. Lots of great restaurants, shops and good for people watching. We had a nice dinner at The Boiler House. Great choices of appetizers, a good wine list and a full bar. Everybody had steaks and all were done well. Would highly recommend this restaurant and if you get the waiter Ahmed you will truly enjoy yourself

As a 15 year plus downtown resident, this is our backyard. With 30 plus years in the hospitality field (now retired) I feel I can bring you real insight into our locations. The good, the bad and the ugly. If we run across a serious issue, I will always go directly to management and not post it. I truly believe you always must give management an opportunity to correct a serious issue. If not corrected and or just ignored, then I feel it is correct to inform the public – professionally. No establishment is perfect. I will bring to you smaller hiccups we may have come across. I will rarely comment on the taste of food – being bad, as that is a very personal thing. My wife and I disagree on taste of food and wine, no one is wrong or right. Now if the food is on fire, burned, under/overcooked to our requests, that would be mentioned. Had an event to see at the STABLE in the Pearl. We picked the Broiler House. It’s been about 5 years since our last visit. Just like the last time mmm mmm mmmm. Service was great, happy faces welcomed you as you came in and a goodbye and thanks for dining when you departed. I’m a bit of a Sangria snob, having dual citizenship. Dang it was good, refreshing! We brought a couple with us, first time for them and they also gave it a thumbs up. No issues at all talking with all four of us. If you have never gone, peek upstairs at the private glass room you can reserve! Thank you, Broiler house, for consistently being good and great service. PS, Cindi is a 40 year plus vegetarian, no issues for her for options.

This was our first time at the Boiler House and from the first step inside we were greeted with such kindness and welcome. Anissa was our waitress and she was amazing! Being our first time here we asked for recommendations on the drinks, entrees and dessert; Anissa was 3 for 3 - the drinks were SO good, the steaks were delicious and the dessert was to die for… if you’re in the area and want an awesome atmosphere with great food and tasty drinks, come to the Broiler House!

On Tuesday April 9th 4 of us dropped in without reservations. We were promptly seated. Our server came right to the table ready to take our drink order. We were informed that Tuesday evening bottles of wines are half price. We took advantage of a very good deal. I ordered the duck. I have had duck all over the world. This was among the top 3 of all times. The scallops were very good and they were the largest that I ever seen served in a restaurant. In conclusion, Good service, excellent food, wine at half price. What is there not to like?

Agustin was awesome!!! He is the reason me and husband will be back! Great food and the way he explained what to select was no doubt great selections!!!

This was probably our favorite meal in San Antonio this trip. We ordered quite a bit small plates and one main plate to make it like a tasting menu, except the small plates are descent size. We really liked everything we had. If we had to pass on something it would be the cheese and charcuterie board. It wasn't bad, just not special. Everything else we had, was great. The quail being a standout. Service was friendly and prompt. All around great time.

This is a good restaurant for a good casual meal. It's more of an upscale saloon. I highly recommend the pork shank. It was cooked beautifully.
Excellent!
Excellent food, wonderful service. We had the filet mignon. It was cooked to perfection. The charcuterie board was superb. I highly recommend!
