Delicious & Very Filling!

By SGcvn69 |

The food was delicious and there is plenty of parking! We went for lunch and our food included a ice tea and rice. For the price, you get what you pay for, which was a lot of food!

Impeccable

By Cronista-xna |

Some reviews in other webs talk about bad service: that didn't happen to us. It was peak hour and the service was a little slow, yes, but quiet efficient and friendly. Since my mother language is not English I didn't notice that they have poor English as I already had read. Believe me, it's a nice place, modern decorated and they serve plenty of excellent Korean food. Despite I love Oriental cooking, I've never tried this food preparation and I really liked. Great place.

Very Tasty.

By Andrew R |

I'm not a connoisseur of Asian cuisine so this is a novice review. I'd never been to a restaurant where hot soup is served with a flame underneath so this was quite a novel pleasure. The 'soup' selection was good, however some a little adventurous for my bland palette. I visited with a friend just after watching the Seahawks so it was very busy. The wait time was 30 minutes and from what I recall they have a slightly unusual wait line system (at least it was to me). Despite the wait the service was prompt and the soup very tasty, dragging me out of my usual cheeseburger & fries comfort zone. I would definitely return.

Lunch while shopping

By Rather_Nomadic |

I randomly stopped here while hitting up Daiso and looking for fresh ramen. Nice combo meal at lunch with soup, rice and tea. I got the house special with medium spice. It was tasty and the spice was nice and not too much. Very attentive service. I would definitely eat here again. Note: if your soup gets too hot, just ask them to turn off your burner.

Hard to put down a tile of my review

By YY Y |

My honest rate for this restaurant is a 3.5 but I am not able to do so. Always very crowed with people waiting at the door. Simple, tasty and satisfying food. Price could be down for 10-15% If you've never be there yet, recommend you to give it a try but expecting some waiting time.

Delicious pan-Asian lunch hotpot

By V H |

Taiwanese restaurant chain. Came here recently with a Taiwanese colleague . Service was fast, you get individual hotpot pre filled with foods. Reasonably priced and delicious.

Best place to fix the hotpot craving

By MChan |

I was in Boiling point as many times as I can when I visited Bellevue previously. This trip I was in Seattle and knew that there's one in Chinatown, decided to pop in too. It is definitely the best place to fix hotpot craving. I went twice and every time, managed to be in just before/after their peak meal hours. I was alone and I love the part that they do not put you on hold until a small table is avail. One of the visit, I occupied a 4 pax table. Be careful of meal time, the queue is always long.

Fast service, delicious food

By Jason Park |

Very fast service. They serve unconventional hot pot in the sense that all of the meat and veggies are already in the boiling pot of soup. As a result, it's a bit crowded at first until you work your way through some of it. The service is fast and to the point. The food is great, and and I especially appreciate that you can control the level of spiciness (I chose the least spicy but still felt some of the heat).

American Korean

By terunz V |

Weekdays at 7pm for dinner. We waited a minute, we sat down immediately, and the staff immediately brought us water. It was a system where you could look at the menu with a QR and order from the clerk. Korean bean paste21.93 Order TAIWANESE SPICY $26.41 plus rice and noodles. Korean bean was a common dish in Korean hot pot, but TAIWANESE SPICY was pretty spicy when I thought it wouldn't be a big deal. The staff were brusque, but the taste was not bad. The customers came in with a bang when we left and it was full, so it was a popular restaurant.

Busy Place

By ns2287ul |

If you want a decent hot pot and are prepared to wait a while for a table, then this a place for you. We arrived at noon to find the entry way full of people waiting for a table. Felt like we were sardines packed into a can. I ordered the beef hot pot with shrimp. The best part if the soup was the broth for me. We paid $79 for 4 soups, 1 honey milk green tea, 1 ginger tea, and macaroon desert. Staff was friendly. The parking lot in front of the restaurant is expensive. We paid $15 for less than 2 hours.

Food was good..service was hurried

By MK330 |

personalized hot pot is good. You can pick either the prix-fixe hot pots, or create your own. price wasn't too bad, esp. if you stick to the prix-fixe. Service was efficient, but they do 'show you the door' by presenting you the check as soon as they take your hot pots away....even when the room wasn't completely filled....

Great presentation

By ALAG |

The place opens at 11am for lunch, we arrived before that time and there was already a long line waiting outside the restaurant. Waiting for the line was worth it. Their noodles taste so good and piping hot. Service was fast and the price is reasonable. If you want more soup they will refill it for free. During lunch time the meal comes with a free drink. Would love to come back again.

Great Variety of Hot Pots

By Henry C |

Great variety of individual hot pots (10 to choose from) with a complimentary bowl of rice. No need to order the side dish of instant noodles unless you have a big appetite. For my two girls, they share a more expensive (bigger) pot. Do not get the fermented tofu (not deep fried as expected). You can park in the Uwajimaya market's lot for free (2 hours) if you validate your parking slip when you pay your bill.

Taiwanese treat

By Athy V |

We were there on dinner time and it's packed have to wait 15-20 mins and our family o f 8 have to seat in 2 table. I order their signature stinky pot which the smell is very light I almost thought they send me the wrong pot. I guess they just put in the stinky tofu right before served so it take abit time for the stinky tofu to smell. Also it taste bland need to use a lot of dipping sauce. My brother order spicy pot which is more expensive( menu 8-10) but it's bigger pot which is great for 2. The spicy pot all come super spicy which my brother say he can't feel any taste other than spicy. My mom order lamb pot, the smell of lamb is too strong and she don't like it.

Second visit this summer

By Aprilkat4 |

I enjoy eating here. It’s a fun, unique, and inexpensive eating experience. The tea that comes with the meal is fabulous! We shared the lunch portion for 1 adult and 2 kids. So far we’ve tried the KoreanBowl and the Japanese Bowl. Both have excellent broth. The beef can get a little chewy, but overall very tasty. I also like to order the additional side of rice with a poached over easy egg yolk, only $2. Yum!

Good, but not so sure it was worth the 45 minute wait

By Sheila514 |

We came on a Friday night at 7:30 just as everyone had settled in. We ended up waiting for 45 minutes, watching people eat while our stomachs auto-digested. They don't seat any group unless the party is complete. The food itself is pretty good. You get a big individual hot pot with a bowl of rice for about $11-15. You could adjust the spiciness depending on your tolerance. Make sure you order what you want right off the bat because they don't come around a second time to ask you if you want anything else, The moment you are finished, you receive your bill so they could accommodate the next guests. The Seattle location is apparently the bigger and less smellier location (it has higher ceilings with better ventilation compared to the Bellevue location). I would certainly recommend this place if it weren't for the long wait. I am not convinced the food is good enough for the extra wait time, but if you walk by and there is no wait, by all means, have yourself a wonderful hot pot!

Soothing to the soul

By WyldOrchid |

Great choices great flavors! Wondering staff. Only thing I would change bout this place was the hot pot itself was not deep enough for the amount of food it’s holding. Ingredients appeared fresh and savory. I had the seafood tofu hot pot while my husband went for the beef. Very tasty!

Tasty individual hot pots

By Lucienne M |

Don't think this is Korean! Looked more Chinese / Taiwanese. The sweet milk drink with added boba was good as was the beef hot pot. Size was big enough for my young daughter and I to share one.

Hot soup, popular place- prepare to wait

By ceeejayy11 |

Was craving for Asian hot soup and this place was just what I needed. We had to wait 15-20mins to get a seat. I ordered the mala Taiwanese soup and it was soooo spicy. Service was fast.

Individual hot pot

By Jodi C |

I noticed tripadvisor has this restaurant listed as korean cuisine, which is incorrect. It should be listed as Taiwanese cuisine. The restaurant serves individual hot pot, there are about 10 different varieties you can choose from, each pot already comes with the meat and vegetables, you can also add on additional meats or vegetables for extra costs. Keep in mind that this is not a all you can eat hot pot, anything you want extra you will need to pay for it. If you come here during lunch time, the meal will come with a free drink.

Great Taiwanese Hotpot

By DenitaPutri |

My friend recommended us to eat here for dinner and we went at 9 pm. The queue was still long and we had to wait for about 20 minutes. I guess the restaurant is indeed a hit because it was still crowded at that time. We ordered the Curry Fish Ball and Large Taiwanese Chili Hot Pot. Try the more spicy chili because even the medium won't give you spicy at all. I ordered one hotpot to share, the portion is okay for two.

Can you read lips?

By 70s2016 |

As a senior, I have time to enjoy a leisurely lunch with friends and love to try new things. This new experience was fun, food was very good, service acceptable, but it's not a place to visit with friends unless you can read lips. No noise baffles so the sound level almost hits you in the face when you walk in the door and it's a full restaurant.

Hot Soup...!! Not as in trouble...! but as in slurp, slurp...

Dinner time with the family...noodles in beef broth with beef slices and other things yummy...altogether a tasty and delicious quick meal...! Fast and friendly service...

Just like the hot pot in Taiwan

By TonyCoolidge |

My son was craving authentic Taiwanese food after being in the USA for over a week. We are living in Taiwan and were visiting the Seattle area. So, I took him to the International District of Seattle. We started looking around in Uwajimaya Supermarket. There were many choices. However, my son chose to try Boiling Point, because he read the sign in Mandarin that said it had traditional hot pot. We were not disappointed, and the price wasn't bad. He was happy enough for us to make our own restaurant review video for this place. This is a good choice for Taiwanese food when visiting downtown Seattle.

Eatery has location; Good quick bite while shopping works

By Kenpasha |

We are frequent visitors to Asiatown/Chinatown and today waited in line today (no worries) for lunch at BP. The sign outside in Chinese said these were "Taiwanese-style soup" items but although I lived for a year in Taiwan, these dishes seemed more like Korean, streamlined-down-to-a-quick formula items to me. Anyway, far be from me to argue with the proprietors. We enjoyed the soup although it was very salty. For a quick bite to eat after or before shopping, this certainly works. The place is wildly popular, with good feng shui (in this case, exposure to a main street and a sidewalk adjacent to supermarket). Modestly priced. If you have a little more time (they're on vacation this week, but when they come back:), permit me to recommend you try Mike's Noodle House Inc. on Maynard. Bon appetit!

It's delicious.

By sisi w |

It tasted good, we had a 10-minute wait, sometimes longer. The food was quick, the meat sauce was delicious, there were free drinks (green tea, lemon tea) at a medium price, very good. Next time, eat it.

Okay

By honeyyaya |

The food was okay! You could have tofu & boba tea as well. 味道不錯,但臭豆腐沒有很臭,飲料的部分大概是迎合外國人的口味,比較甜,冰塊也比較多。整體來說算是滿推薦!

Different pots for different folks

By LUVBALIBEACH |

Our friend who lived in edmond took us here. It has many different types of individual hotpots. The thwi yom yum, the korean kim chee, japanese curry, etc... it also has the taiwanese tofu...with a strong stench. the kim chee i had was not good cos it only has the kim chee cabbage but the broth was not what i expected. The thai tom yum had seafood and was good. The curry one was not bad. It costs USD 12.99 PLUS PLUS..you can ad anything you want at additional cost. We went to the one in edmonds and it was not crowded.

Hot Pot on a Cold Night

By travelequalsbliss |

What a fun place! Use the text feature on the kiosk when you arrive and the host will text you when your table is ready. Browse next door at Uwajimaya while you wait. Hot pot dishes have plenty of variety, there are add ons on the menu to round out your meal. Customize your amount of spice too. We found one pot for two people to be plenty. Creative beverage options too: the lemonade with basil or sweet milk with boba. Friendly, attentive service.

Frustrating and disappointing.

By novocane |

Terrible service and attitude. Brought in some skewers from next door to compliment boiling point. Very rudely accosted for having outside food — even though we ordered more than $100 in items. Made a case for an exception, was denied. So up and left. Boiling point is becoming corporate, inflexible and staff are rather rude. I’ll go elsewhere.

Good Taste

By yuxu2 |

The food was cheap and tasty. Hotpot includes a lot of stuff and you can also select which flavor you like. I chose Tomato Delight because it was sweet and sour which was my favorite. I waited in line for 20-30 minutes in the front of the door, I highly recommend that the restaurant should provide some chairs that would be better for the waiting customers.

Tasty

It was our first time at this restaurant and the food was delicious. All three of us enjoyed our dinner. We would go back. Just be careful that the food is very hot!

Taiwanese hot pot

By CVictorT |

We were intrigued by the picture on the entrance which is also adjacent to a Japanese supermarket. It's not your normal hot pot. This is hot and boiling, can be a little bit intimidating but unique. Service is a little slow but worth it. Portion is quite big but you can order more as you go. Soup addition is free. You just try it once for the experience. Spicy and hot.

Overpriced, unremarkable

By Hollyrik |

Having passed this spot on a number of occasions, and remarking that it looked like fun, we finally made it a downtown rendezvous spot before heading to the theater. The help was certainly friendly enough, but the meal was a disappointment. First, no hot tea. No hot tea? This is an Asian place, right? Ok, how about a soda, 'cause I don't want an overpriced cold mixed tea drink? Root beer? 7-up/Sprite? No, only Coke is available! The adventure of having a burning min-wok at the table wore off quickly as the main items in the bowl were devoured and the remainder became an unappetizing mush. Sorry, first time will be the last time for this -- the adjacent food fair at Uajamaya has lots of better choices at reasonable prices.

Authentic Taiwan Hotpot

By Max Lai |

I loved the Taiwan spicy hotpot, especially the spicy soup taste, which is really spicy, price is reasonable $19, and my family and I have a wonderful dinner. I miss the hotpot in Seattle and this place fulfill my desire.

Good taste

By Siyan H |

The pot has many stuff in it, and is yummy. We arrived at around 7:45 on Monday and waited to be seated for about 15 min so plan your trip ahead of time.

They really mean boiling

By Foodtwosome |

Cool to cold spring evening seemed to call for a good soup. Hot and Sour? Egg Flower? Maybe a dumpling? Nope. None of the common in the more than a dozen options. Some included pork blood squares, fermented tofu or intestines, but certainly not all! Each soup arrives piping hot on its own hot burner which is then set ablaze and a bowl of rice. And shortly your hot soup begins to boil. Kinda intimidating. He had the seafood soup. Flavorful, rich broth ( thankfully not as rich as some ramen joints), a couple large prawns, some clams, an egg, lots of cabbage and glass noodles. I opted for the beef which also included the glass noodles, a piece or two of imitation crab, a square of tofu and veggies. I used the rice bowl to cool bits from the boiling soup base. We both ordered medium -- next time we'll do mild. Couple next to us ordered the hot pot to share. Looked fabulous ( and tables were close enough we could have shared our dinners). Extra broth is available on request. And waitstaff will smother the boiling cauldron in front of at your request. Definitely a place that is different and that caters to its Young, hip Asian clientele.

Hot Pot Spot!

By Chad D |

Boiling Point is an Asian hot pot restaurant. You pick one of their base "soups" or broths and you can add in some extra stuff if you like. Most of the ingredients aren't cooked when they bring it to the table. You are supposed to put the raw food in your boiling broth and let it cook, then take it out and LET IT COOL, and eat it. I saw a bunch of people trying to eat stuff straight out of boiling broth. It's basically like Asian fondue. This place is always packed, with a line out the door. I went when there were maybe 3 or 4 people in line waiting for a table and I felt lucky about that. The staff is nice but a little stand offish. I never had anything that I had to flag down a waiter for, they had everything covered. The food was very good here, I loved their lamb, and the house special broth was super tasty! I'm glad I went here but, I wouldn't wait for more than 15 minutes to get a table here.
