Great Asian food but can be crowded

By Paul T |

One of our family members favorite asian restaurant is Bol Pho Bistro. We walked in at lunch time and all the tables were taken. Luckily they have an outside "bar" that was open. It's kind of in a strange place because part of the bar extends in front of a hair saloon. You sit facing the street and I said I felt like we should be judging something. The service was great even tho we were outside. We ordered beef Bahn mi sandwich which was outstanding. The spring rolls were fresh and tasty and the peanut dipping sauce was thick and rich. Something I never had before was kimchi calamari. The kimchi had a nice flavor and on the spicy side. The calamari were thick and had a crispy coating. The combination was actually better than I thought. I can see why this is his favorite Asian restaurant.

Pheonominal Pho!

This is hands down our favorite Pho in Seattle...or anywhere! Our favorites are the Veggie Pho, Veggie Bun and the most amazing french fries (Truffle Garlic Fries) in the world! So Accommodating to our discerning veggie palates.

Great Food

Our friends took us here and Iowa's the best food and good price. The waitress were great. Topnotch place.

maybe the best pho in Seattle

By benkinneyharris |

While paying over $5.00 for a bowl of pho may seem sacrilegious, the fresh ingredients, excellent service, amazing cocktails, and perfect ambiance make this place worth it. The pho is bursting with flavor and served with all the usual complimentary sides - one of the best tasting phos in the Seattle area. A lot of the other dishes are also stunningly well-prepared - everything tastes remarkably fresh, light, and flavorful. The cocktails here are also extraordinary - and only $5.00 each during happy hour. I highly recommend the sriracha bloody Mary! Yes, there are better deals on pho throughout Seattle, but this is one of remarkably few 'nice' pho restaurants - and that uniqueness keeps me coming back.

Small, cozy space. Good food.

Huge portions of great food. I'm super into duck and was VERY psyched to see they had duck pho. We came here after an exhausting 5 hour hike. The gigantic bowl of Pho was exactly what I needed. I was there with a vegetarian and there were tons of options for him. They had drinks and said they were good. Very sunny and breezy space. Recommend!

Best Pho in Seattle

I’ve lived here for 3 years now and this is the best pho restaurant in the city. Delicious fresh meat and vegetables and delicious drinks

Great Asian Fusion...

By david n |

Actually, this is for Bol Test Kitchen which is one block over and is linked to this one. However, it is not listed among the possible restaurants. It is quite different, a more modern feel. The menu is also different, containing a number of items that are not traditional vietnamese. I had the vegan stir fry. I was given a choice of tofu (basic to the meal) or chicken for $3 more. I stayed with the tofu. The mix of cabbage, bok chop, carrots and other vegetables was very nice and not over cooked as can be the case in many instances. The soy based sauce was just right as was the rice. I enjoyed it a lot and am thinking of going back today...and if you know me, a quick return is for something really good. I can't wait to try other items on the menu, which you can view on -line

I live walking distance from BOL. Best veggie pho near Greenlake. I usually get the veggie BUN & tofu spring rolls. Great place for quick healthy bite. My kids love it. TIPS, walk Greenlake near by check out the fish store next to BOL.

Great Food!

This is a great Vietnamese restaurant. Their Pho and Bahn Mi are fantastic. My staff members love getting their lunches from here and I had the opportunities to eat all the items on the menu, except a few appetizers or small plates. They use fresh and locally sourced ingredients and it shows. Great food!

Fresh, Trendy, Bomb Happy Hour

By Grady M |

I have been to Bol more than half a dozen times now. It is always the go to for a refreshing meal. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The first thing you will notice is that it is a small little hole in the wall. We love it! Happy Hour is awesome and usually not very busy. Going around normal dinner time, it is pretty packed but we have never had a problem finding a seat. The seating is communal or where you might be with another couple at the same table if you don't have a big party, not a problem. The menu is super simple and not overwhelming. I have tried the main menu items and am very satisfied with each of them. The Bun is awesome and fresh, the meats have amazing flavor and overall I think this is our favorite thing on the menu. You leave after eating the Bun feeling refreshed and satisfied! The Banh Mi and Pho are great as well. The BIG bowl of Pho with nice noodles and a good amount of meat is NOT overly salty with amazing flavor. If anything get a side of broth just to taste it. Overall the prices are very reasonable for the area and you will impress any of your friends with this new "find" just off of Roosevelt. Enjoy

Worth the wait

Perfect for a cold rainy evening. This restaurant is popular and crowded, but that only adds to the lively atmosphere. Servings were generous and delicious. The best pho I've ever had.

Great happy hour.

After a long day at the zoo my mom and I needed to come in from the cold and a bowl of Pho was much needed to warm up. I am a bit of a pho lover and I must say this is some of the best I've had. A must if you're in the area! Very quaint.

Whoa...very busy place!!!

By Takarehi |

Tight quarters and lots of activity here. You can tell this is a popular place that serves very ample portions....Pho bowls are huge and the Bun...especially the flank steak is delish. Don't be discouraged be the number of people here because the move you though fairly quick. Just write your name on the pad of of paper to the left of the door as you come in and they will seat as fast as they can....great food but the street parking is limited...

Best Pho in Seattle

By disherkm |

I've been on a mission to find the best Pho in Seattle and this place takes the cake! It's been about two years - I've found good and Ok, but never great. The restaurant itself is SUPER cute - not dated and dingy like most Pho joints, and the food is AMAZING. They also have really fresh and delicious cocktails.

Excellent Bun Cha!

By misopiso88 |

We found Bol a few months ago and have been 3 times since. The food is fresh and delicious. We especially like the Bun Cha which reminds us of our trips to Hanoi. It is a pretty small place so I recommend going with only 1-3 people so you can find a table.

Go!

I was expecting mediocrity, honestly. But, this is one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in town. I had the chicken Phó ($9) and my girlfriend had the veggie bun salad ($8) and iced coffee (with evap milk). Both were great. The presentation and ingredient quality was the highest you'll find. The staff was very sweet, attentive and smart. I hope you'll check it out, so they'll be around for a long time.

My Favorite Pho in Seattle

By Laura A |

Oh Bol. This is quite possibly the best Pho I have had to date! Not to mention their other food is fabulous as well. I ted to take my out of town guests here, especially folks with dietary restrictions. It is hard to find Asian food that caters to the gluten free folks. Please note, everything is a pretty large portion, so come hungry! I regularly order the Chicken Pho, the Pork Bahn Mi and the Flank Steak Bun. The gluten free bread is seriously the best I have ever had. The light dressing on the Bun salads is to die for. And the flavor of the pho is unbeatable!

EXCELLENT FOOD AND SERVICE

By adeledupre |

I have been there four times not only as the food Yummy but the staff have been trained with great and friendly customer service.

Pho-bulous

By Shawn K |

Quick seating, quick food! A couple of hiccups in the orders arriving at the Sam approximate time, nothing major though. Waitress forgot the water I request, again not that big a deal. Just asked again. Food was good! Pho bowl was HUGE! A lot of broth, chicken, noodles and side ad-ons. The broth sweetly scented with fresh chicken ( white and dark meat). I have enough for three meals at a bargain price of $10.00. Then there was the pork Bahn Mi sandwich. Perfect crunchy, flaking roll with good pickled vegetables that tasted homemade! Half the sandwich was enough (left overs...a favorite!) Small space, turn over seemed quick though so did not see a long wait time. Always exciting to find a new gem in your own backyard!! Check it out, since they are so busy I think that adds relevance to a good review.

Outstanding Phó. Extremely fresh ingredients

By SeattleResident999 |

We came here for lunch. Calamari and fresh rolls were very tasty and fresh. The Pho is delicious and a large portion for a very fair price. We will certainly be back!

So so good...

Bol Pho Bistro is fantastic! We tried the imperial rolls, pho, and bahn mi, and we loved everything. The vegetables were fresh and the flavors were spot on. Also, they have a great drink menu, and dessert was wonderful. To top it all off, the service was excellent. This is my new favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Seattle!

Great atmosphere, location, and great food!

By DBG8474 |

In a word Great! Our group of five met for lunch and casual conversation. The atmosphere and ambiance make it a perfect place to meet. It's a little crowded because the place is small and tables are close, but that adds to the fun. Bol Pho Bistro offers only a few items and the best is the pho (soups). I had Ox Tail. Wow! It was unique and delicious.. others got other kinds of Pho but everyone was raving about how good it was.. great choice for lunch with atmosphere, location, and great food.

We absolutely loved the food

I absolutely loved the food here! The ingredients were super fresh, the dishes reasonably priced and the atmosphere pretty cozy. I would definitely go back and I would recommend this restaurant to any of my friends. Check my IG for more restaurant/travel/hotels feedback: @lawyer.traveler.dreamer 🤩

Pho without MSG...found here

By vamsally |

It is very hard to find good pho without MSG, but it can be found here. Their appetizers are also very good. Bun is little bit interesting compared to ones I'm used to, but all in all, everything I tried was good and made with good ingredients

Fast, fun, and satisfying - great drink menu!

By josef_travels |

Local place, filled to the brim on a Tuesday night. Communal tables, lots of activity, friendly very fast service. This is the ultimate neighborhood restaurant serving a nice selection of Pho, noodle dishes and interesting appetizers. If they have the calamari with kim chi appetizer- get it. Also the Moscow Mule is perfect. Portions are very large. Be warned, this is NOT table cloths, romantic corners or quiet conversations. The place is a buzz with diners, the door opens and closes (you might want to be farther away if you are sensitive to cold during the winter), and the tables are ALL communal. Still for the price, it's does what it offers - and the food is tasty.

Saving 5 stars just in case

My cousin recommended this place. She said that her young kids love it and that she and her co workers go there every week, so I gave it a try while visiting Seattle.A must visit! I used to live in Seattle about 15 years ago and consider my self a decent judge of food having traveled 30% of the world's countries. The first people I run into, sitting at the bar(as a customer) is one of the great bartenders and travelers of the past several decades who had been working at the Wild Ginger(one of the best Asian restaurants ever!) on Western ave downtown when I met him. As a world traveler and having had traveled to Vietnam, he recommended the Duck Pho. He mentioned that Bol is the best in Seattle and I am sure he has tried most. One bite and I am sold! Go there! Good price!

This food is legit!

The pho here was really fresh and delicious. We also got Vietnamese sandwiches, which were also to die for! This place is on point!!

Vietnamese Healthy vegetarian

By megankathleenlikes |

This is a great place to get a quick bite to eat families or couples. I love the tofu bun. They have great pho. This place serves meat I ve only tried the veggie items. They are always busy. Love the fresh spring rolls. Great for lunch or dinner, nice ambiance. Check out the fish store next door!! You might get lost inside. Right by Greenlake, wholefoods, U-district.

So Disappointing

By Marti |

After reading great reviews, we tried Bol Pho Bistro. We will not return. My beef pho was decidedly mediocre, with overcooked, grisley bits of meat and a cloudy, silty broth that was predominantly chicken broth. The noodles were good, as was the little plate of basil, sprouts, lime, etc. Hubby's pho ga (chicken) was marred by the silty, cloudy broth that left a bad aftertaste. The shrimp salad rolls were excellent, although the peanut sauce, while tasty, was as thick as peanut butter. Ambiance is sort of gas-station chic, with bare concrete floors and picnic tables. Not good for many reasons.

New favorite spot!!

By sydney j |

We loved this place. Clean and delicious broth, large portions, cool atmosphere. Appetizers and noodle dishes were also quite good. Highly recommend the kimchi calamari! One thing my boyfriend always mentions tho is that it's pretty loud in there, which doesn't bother us, just something to be aware of.

Great fresh pho and bun

By globalgal90 |

Wonderful weekday lunch! Love the atmosphere. It was busy even at 3pm on a weekday. Food was great. Chicken in the pho seemed a little over cooked but the broth was so tasty it didn't matter. Fresh ingredients and fast service.

Awesome pho

By DavideGiuliaTorino |

We loved the Pho Soup here. Really tasty. For two Pho Soups and one appetizer of wings we paid 36$. Good price and good food, we couldn't ask for more
