We stumbled upon this place a few weeks ago and loved the food, atmosphere, bookstore upstairs, and beer garden. It's one of the few breweries that offers full dinner offerings, as well as wine and other cocktails. We enjoyed it so much we met a group of 10 people here for a celebration the following week. Our server Justin was excellent! He made sure everyone was attended to and put out dessert for the birthday honoree. The food is very good - especially the Brussels sprouts appetizer, ham & cheese sandwich with tomato soup, and the lamb burger with fries.

Exceptional server. Patrice P made us feel special. We could tell it was important to her that our experience was superior. It was. Great food and plenty of it. We’re still talking about the sauces. Pizza 1862 will be a repeat. Kids loved the cheese pizza. Perfect level of attention.

we visited the first time and did NOT regret at all. the room is spacious and plenty of parking spaces, which are both good things. the beer list is nice and their beers very nice. untapped agrees with me, so the statement is correct. the food menu is also excellent and the food itself better then expected. shall go again, for sure

The brewery is really nice is more of a restaurant then a brewery. The service was slow. I wanted to try more beer but the server was slow. The beer is okay I visited from San Diego we have the best brewery in the nation. Food was good the Wings were different but good the pizza was amazing. The place is real nice and bathrooms were extremely clean.

Had a reservation. Hostess did not acknowledge us when we walked in. Requested regular or turbinado sugar for coffee and was told there wasn't any. Asked the waiter to check the kitchen, and he came back with sugar. Had to let the Waiter know he short changed us. He said the restaurant did not have coins.

2 entry areas, we got in the back door, had a reservation, seated immediately, wait staff was great. Tom served our table, introducing himself as a new employee- we were very impressed with his service. Food was very good, recommend the wings highly as they were well cooked with a great spicy heat flavored rub. French Dip was good also, could use some cheese with it. Would like to try a pizza next trip. Tried the Walnut Brownie with ice cream for dessert- ask them to heat up the brownie for you. Great atmosphere, service was a 10. Try a flight of their Belgian beers, the "Indominous Quad" is a winner as a dark beer.

Great atmosphere in a beautiful restaurant, warm hardwood floors, rock walls with ambient lighting, lanterns flickering over cozy booths, and vibrant bars full of cocktails and conversations! The service was top notch as our waiter Thomas had our water poured upon seating, cocktails ordered and delivered in 5 minutes. We had fall-off-the bone chicken wings to start our evening, ribs and the french dip were perfectly prepared, served hot and fresh from the kitchen. And Thomas brought us hot towels to clean up after wings and ribs, very nice touch which elevated our whole dining experience! Thank you for a wonderful time at Bold Monk, definitely will return!

Thank you for a delightful evening that started out under the stars in the beer garden sampling their outstanding locally made flight of beer, moved upstairs to the very up to date industrial style open area where you hold weddings and events and then downstairs in a comfortable booth where we enjoyed and will never forget the delicious Brussels sprouts and perfectly seasoned salmon entree. The evening ended with a killer chocolate cake that melted in our mouths! We will be back soon! Thank you for a great evening! If you are reading this, go! You won’t be disappointed!

The brewery has multiple seating areas inside and out, and also a cozy library and a private event room overlooking the barrels. What pleasantly surprised me was how excellent the food was! Had the crispy Brussels sprouts app, house fries, and the shrimp grain bowl. Delicious!

We really should have walked out the door within the first two minutes of walking in. We were looking forward to sitting in the chill library space upstairs or maybe even sitting outside on a beautiful November evening, but the entire space we found was rented out for a wedding, no problem we got a great table by the window. It was only a problem when after 20 minutes, we still have not been greeted by our server to get even some water to wet our whistle, but around the same time the wedding DJ started up and you could barely hear yourselves over, Kool and the gang’s celebration! Took us another 30 minutes to get a drink to the table. It’s unfortunate that they are allowing private parties like this to ruin such a chill space and prioritizing serving a wedding rather than regular customers. Food and beverage just aren’t worth the battle to get food or hear each other talk. We come for the environment. So I guess we won’t be coming anymore.

Place has a great vibe. Love the feeling of being in a Belgium abby, and lots of booths. Chicken wings were legit appetizers. Ladies had unique cocktails. Beers were complex, high ABV, and selections normally not found at other breweries. Loved having Thomas as a waiter. He not only knew everything about the menu, but the right drink pairings. He made sure we were attended to without being a nuisance. French dip was quality steak. Ribs are a fall off the bone must have. There is a selection for every palate. Definitely will return.

Great dining hall, with a wall of windows providing natural light and great views. Great beer selection. Amazing truffle sauce for the fries. And super tasty pizza (especially the mushroom one) that comes out so quickly. Service left a bit to be desired, and they tried to serve us other people's food 3 times.

Didnt have much expectations as I am not a Brewery kind of girl nor do I drink beer, but what a surprise this little Gem was.. Beautiful ambiance , EXCELLENT food!!, didnt care for my waiter, (kinda abrupt and fast and rude) but that didnt detour me from this place , I WILL be back many times (just get a diff waiter , lol).. The Brussel Sprouts were the best I EVER had, the French fries app, excellent and the Salmon amazing.. DEF GO.. you wont be disappointed.

/A good craft brewery focused on Belgian style beers, but not only those. The place is quite large, in an area somewhat away from the center but very busy. They have two pre-established beer flights (one of IPAs and one of Belgian styles); but no possibility to create your own beer flight. The beers are good, although I think there are more interesting craft breweries in Atlanta. I was surprised by their food menu: I ordered the bitterballen, which were four great brisket croquettes!

This was one of the best French dip sandwiches I have had in a long time. The decor and atmosphere of the place is also great. There is indoor and covered outdoor seating. Beer flights of their own brews are available.

There aren't many places that focus on Belgian beers and wild ales so this was a great find if you like those. The food was fantastic and so was our server Jonathan. I can't say enough good things about our experience here. Will definitely stop in again the next time I am in Atlanta.

Went for a business lunch and had a great burger and the beers are really excellent. The atmosphere is slightly elevated and you will enjoy the place.

We were passing through Atlanta and excited to see this place pop up on the map. Atmosphere is great. Manager was fabulous. Food was OK. Buying items at the small gift shop with the unhelpful hostess with an attitude was sad. Hate that our last impression wasn’t great. Beer was creative and impressive. I wish more of what we tasted was available to take home.

Second time to the Bold Monk and figured I should write a review. This place is brewing some of the best Belgian-style beers in the country. Not only that, but they are also doing Belgian-style food. They've got the Mussels and Frites on the menu! Came in here randomly last year and made a point to come back when working in the area. Reminds me of the food and beers in Amsterdam, and one of the only places in the U.S. I have found that is really doing these styles.

Bold Monk has incredible beers, but I was very disappointed with the service my wife and I received. We came for lunch and decided to sit in the outdoor table area. We ended up waiting 30 minutes and our waiter never came back, not even to bring us waters. Ended up leaving and never got to order.

Had my birthday brunch here. I found my food to be subpar and some of my friends didn't like their meals at all. Two used the term "nasty," and these are two guy friends who I've known to eat anything. We paid on one check due to party size, and a few days later when I went to tell my friends their totals, we noticed that we were overcharged. I called asking to speak to a manager and was told they were in a meeting, but they took my info and said they'd call me back. No one ever called me back. Positives were we had a nice waitress and they can accommodate large parties. Just be sure to check your bill before you leave. I doubt any of us will be back.

Bold Monk Brewing is good for all ages. The building is new and has a large clear stained glass view of the brewing tanks. The beer was fabulous. We ate on the second floor. Loved all the books everywhere. The chicken sandwich was delicious too.

I stopped by here with a couple of co-workers after a company outing to Top Golf, which is about a block away. The brewery is located a sort of warehouse-turned-restaurant/bar area (or it was built recently to look like an old row of warehouses). Parking is in a lot out front which had plenty of spaces when we visited (on a Tuesday after 6 p.m.). We were just there to sample beers and to let the rush hour traffic die down. The two hostesses who greeted us at the doorway were super-friendly without seeming forced about it. The facility has a number of sub-areas. There is a regular bar area, a sort of causal dining area, then a darker more cozy/formal dining area further in. Upstairs they had a sort of library-feel area where you could eat/drink (and read?). A walkway crosses over the rear access alley to an outdoor beer garden, complete with picnic tables and umbrellas. This last area is also pet-friendly. Our group got drinks from a menu at the downstairs bar and then walked out to the beer garden and claimed a table, as the weather was nice. There are large shade trees towards the back of this area also. Being a brewery, they appeared to have a quite extensive beer menu. I'm not much into beer, so I'm unqualified to talk about what types they specialized in. They also had a limited wine menu. I looked later on their website to see what sort of food they offered, and one could definitely just come here for dinner also. Pricing appeared to be what you might expect from a somewhat upscale bar. If you are more beer centric, then this place would be worth checking out.

We arrived after a long haul on the interstate and were seated promptly...then two different servers asked us if we'd had our drink order taken before a third server took our drink order. This was indicative of the service throughout the evening. My wife ordered a glass of ice and lime to go with her water, and was given ice and lime...and no water, and this was never brought to her. We also had to wait for our check long enough that we gave up and had to get up to find someone to get it. The food, however, was excellent. Her burger was juicy and cooked to perfection, and my Abbot sandwich (a pastrami reuben with knockwurst added) was delicious. The Belgian flight was a tour de force of their signature Belgian-style beers, and their Brother Ivan stout rated the purchase of a 6 pack. We're giving Bold Monk 4 stars on the strength of the food and beer. We'd come back, assuming that our visit was an off night for service.

One of the fun things about Bold Monk Brewing is the atmosphere. There is ample patio seating and a variety of indoor seating options. Most breweries do not offer food or offer only a food truck. Bold Monk Brewing offers a menu of entrees, sandwiches and salads in addition to a nice rotation of IPAs, wheats, lagers and stouts.

The overall restaurant has a great vibe. The dishes are creative with lots of flavor. The Brussels are amazing! Good beer selection. The service, while pleasant, is slow. If I could improve anything about the visit is that the food comes lukewarm. I would visit again.
Definitely coming back!
Why wife and I went to the Bold Monk a had one of the best experiences ever! We were greeted by Alan, who is a gem. He was funny and very engaging, he made the experience fantastic. The food was amazing, we had the chicken sandwich and ham and cheese. They were way more than expected so we commented to Alan when he came by. Later Tony the chef came out and we gave him props for making our experience amazing! My beer selection, Brother Ivan, was also great. We’ll definitely be coming back, Thanks to all for making this such an enjoyable experience!
