Excellent Indian food

By Sally M |

I rarely praise any Indian restaurant outside India. But this restaurant won my heart. I ate here continuously on 3 different days in Feb’2021. That says something. Every dish I ate here was excellent. The bhindi, chicken tandoori, Mutton Chop masala, Chicken tikka, lachcha parantha, – all were excellent. The service was mostly excellent by Indian waiters, who all were very polite and amigable. Negatives 1. Extremely expensive. Was alone, each meal. Each meal cost close to 80-90 usd including 2 beers with each meal and no deserts. 2. The music and ambience was very loud and too many waiters walking up and down and not letting one relax. 3. The insistence of waiters to pour my beer in my glass was extremely annoying. They would sneak up from behind my back ( yes, true story!) , and suddenly try to grab my beer bottle and pour it in my glass. Hey senior manager, reading this review, this is not required on present day due to COVID. Please advise your staff, to take permission before touching the beer bottle of the guest. I know you want me to finish the beer and order next beer fast - but its NOT required to be so desperate. 4. There was no one waiter serving the table. In course of one meal, 5 waiters were serving me. I found it extremely annoying and stressful. Hey senior manager, reading this review, Can you please allocate one waiter per table than plethora of waiters per table? I have taken out one star from review due to the negative points mentioned above, Hope you find my review, helpful? In case you did, please not hesitate to click on “I found the review helpful” tab. Thank you.

I had the pleasure to bring my family once again to Bombay darbar for Dinner always full but they are extremely attentive to their customers, very well managed starting the Beautiful Hostess to the cooks in the kitchen with their exquisite aromas from all their spices they use!!! One will not be disappointed they have a plenty of wine choice and very affordable prices, the waiter Althap was efficient , courteous the whole experience was amazing. Thanks for making out dinners great

Best Indian Food!

By Jolie99 |

We have been too many Indian restaurants in the US and the UK and other countries and this restaurant is one of the best foods we ever had. We made a booking for 9 pm on a Monday and the place was very busy (definitely make a reservation for dinner). We were pleasantly surprised with this restaurant and we Will definitely be back!!! Thank you for a great finding experience!!

Authentic, delicious, perfect for lunch.

By RJB1215 |

We decided to grab a bite to eat at Bombay Darbar in Miami after shopping. The restaurant was crowded so we decided to eat outside where it was quieter. The acoustics inside the restaurant are not great. I couldn’t hear myself think it was so loud. We ordered the lunch special which included naan, yogurt desert, soup, rice and dipping sauces as well as your main entree. The Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Pasanda were delicious and well prepared. The staff was very accommodating and helped with entree selections. We don’t care for cilantro so the wait staff was careful about what we selected. We will definitely try the location in Fort Lauderdale next.

Something else was missing...

I expected it to be better because I like Indian food but it didn't meet my expectations. The dishes were good but I think they lacked them to be special. He Nice place and very good service.

Best Indian restaurant

By sakshitravelqueen |

I just love this restaurant. Very very delicious food. Excellent service. Nice and relaxing ambience. I and my husband are from India and we both enjoy going to this place. We both are vegetarians and there are a lot of vegetarian options available. We both love the thing that they first serve 'papad' with different chutneys and pickles and then the main course. Highly recommendable place. A family- friendly restaurant.

Amazing authentic Indian

By Jaime |

We went here for dinner on Christmas Day. The place was packed but we were seated immediately. We ordered an appetizer and two entrees: korma and biryani. All three were outstanding! We could not recall having better Indian food in our lives. The prices were excellent and the service was exceptional. We would definitely go back again.

We just returned from a cruise and wanted some Indian food . This is the place. Close from airport and the ambience was quite good. The owner asked for feedback and the service was awesome. I will definitely return back .

A very pleasant atmosphere with magnificent service. Wonderful food and a very extensive menu. Very good lamb dish

By vigilanteviajero |

Excellent in every aspect. I will return because it was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend it. Very good food, atmosphere and service

Fantastic food must try

By Swetha |

Fantastic food, amazingly courteous staff and a good ambience defines Bombay darbar. I’d definitely come back anyday. Lamb chops, Malai kofta, veg biryani are the best I’ve eaten compared to California and Austin.

Definitely must visit

By Loza_Loza |

We visited this restaurant after long hungry day. And i am more than happy with our fortuitous choice. They served the food really quick. And it was sooo delicious. Everything was just perfectly tasty. And service was exactly what we need. When waiter is always around but not almost”being a part of our conversation” I just mentioned once that i need warm water so our waiter didnt let any other waiter to pour any cold water for me. If im not wrong his name was Vladimir. When service and food are good you dont think about a price. You are ready to come again and again.

Delivery Service Suck,

Waited over an hour for delivery and still didn’t receive it, no courtesy call nothing and they cancel my order

One of our best restaurants in America

By IRBDave |

My wife only comes down to Miami to join me about once a quarter, and given the number of restaurants to try it says a lot when this is where we go the first night every time. We also follow a keto lifestyle but this is when we're glad to skip it for a night of fine dining. We sat at a comfortable table where we could see most of the dining room and Josh our waiter brought us water and our Taj Mahal. We had Tandoori Chicken Wings and Vegetable Samosa. It was our first time with the wings and they were tender and flavorful. We probably have the Samosa every other time and we think they were the best we've had. We also enjoyed the Poppadoms with the onion relish and mint relish. We then had the Tandoori Shrimp, they had a nice little kick and were piping hot. This is the first time we've had seafood at an Indian Restaurant but after this we may become more adventurous. These were delicious and they were 8 nice sized shrimps. We then ordered the Lamb Saag Gosht and Mango Chicken, both are favorites of ours and they didn't disappoint. I've said before in another review of this place that I didn't think the dishes could get better but I think they did. The lamb was out of this world. The regular Naan bread dips great in the Mango Chicken. We finished off with a Pistachio Ice Cream. Hey if you're going to cheat go all the way. The manager Mario came over to the table while we were there and we chatted with him for a little while. The service here is top notch and everyone was very friendly. We had someone come over and pour our beer and someone else delivered the food but they all show genuine interest in making our experience the best it could be. The quality is excellent and the best value for money. A must visit place in Miami.

Real Indian Cuisine

By Stephen G |

An excellent Indian meal with all the traditional dishes available on the menu. Several Indian families were eating in the restaurant which has to be a good sign!! Very attentive and rapid service. A reservation is recommended as there is a long queue for non reserved customers. The only downside is the noise level....it is not a place for a cosy, romantic dinner!!!!

Excellent

By adelZman |

Large place with indoor and outdoor seating. Very busy. Many Indian couples and families suggesting authentic taste. We enjoyed our meal and thought it was tasty. Medium spice level was pleasant. Reasonable prices.

best food in the area

By linatoday |

it is the best feeling eating good food and leaving satisfied. being from ny i get spoiled, to find a place far from home that mimics the great restaurants we have in ny was a super surprise. fresh, great price, went there twice during my 5 day trip. highly recommended

Stunning array of flavors - all better than the next - it is extraordinary!

By SteelyDanMiami |

I can tell you that having been here now 4-5 times, this place is simply amazing. The food here is just excellent - we ordered seemingly everything on the menu for our table of 10 and everyone ate until they couldn't eat anymore - it was THAT good. We had the chicken tikka masala, the chicken vindaloo, butter chicken, the lamb chop masala, the shrimp goan curry(my favorite), the garlic naan, some dumpling thing and a cheese baked in the veggy thing. Everything was simply excellent! Each dish stood out as delicious, a complex combination of spices and flavors - different from the others. We just kept passing things around and trying new dishes, it was great. Even the Taj Mahal beer that was suggested was a good call. Our waiter was expertly answering questions as fast as our group could ask them - which is to say, quick. He helped us select and get what we needed efficiently and effortlessly - made it nice for us. The gentleman who owns the restaurant came by to ask us how everything was - always nice when the owner is personally interested in your experience and he's clearly a nice guy, a hard working man - a respectable restauranteur - his team provided us with an excellent experience. Everyone already said they want to come back soon. Highly recommend that you try this place. Once you do, it'll be a favorite of yours, I'm sure.

Great Indian Cuisine!

By foody52 |

We went there with our son while visiting in Miami. Seated right away on enclosed porch over looking the street. We were ask if we would move a couple tables over to accommodate a larger party and were given a free desert for our trouble. Very attentive staff checking on us frequently. We enjoyed vegetable samosa, tandoori wings and a garlic naan before our entree. All were very tasty. My wife and son had chicken vindaloo and I the lamb version. Great favors and just the right heat. Would love to go back. By the way we did not have room for our free desert but apprecited the offer.

Just OK

By Jamie S |

I love Indian food. This is my local curry house, 2 minutes away on foot. The restaurant is only OK. I like the atmosphere, kind of like a South Beach nightclub. Not really authentic. Food is kind of like the real thing. I have been to India many times and of course I have eaten in at least 100 different Indian/Pakistani establishments around the world. Poppodums and chutneys were good. After that it was downhill. I had the special martini by which was served warm. The curry was quite bland, the naans were minuscule. The chicken biryani was copious but very dry and not served with any kind of moistening accompaniment. The chicken in the curries was not marinated in any way so was pretty tasteless. The vegetable kofta was very tasty. Chicken vindaloo had good flavor but was quite mildly spiced. Overall food is not too spicy but I think you can ask for extra spicy. Service was very attentive and pleasant. I will probably return one day but not any time soon.

Best Indian Food EVER

By TheVeggieAbroad |

I don’t think this place needs another review, but I can not help myself. Just the best Indian cuisine in entire United States (PERIOD). As an Indian, this might be big statement. Out of my various visit around the nation, I have never came across this delicious food. I have been here about four times, and every time i come to Miami, this is always included in itinerary. Even though, I typically i do not start with Indian food when eating out this is exception by far. Consistently across any dishes you order, you will get amazing food. I dont have single favorite, i have many. You will never go wrong with any choice! #VeggieAbroad

Best Indian Food in America - Right Here in Miami

By Michael S |

I was in the area for a business meeting and looking for a quality place for dinner. When I saw how many glowing reviews Bombay Darbar had, I decided to give it a shot. Man, this place did not disappoint! From the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed to a happy place. The vibe is stylishly upbeat, with a small army of wait staff busily tending to customers and warmly greeting you. My friend and I ordered Saag Paneer, their special Lamb Chops, Chicken Tikka Masala, and some Naan. All that, along with a couple of glasses of Scotch from the bar, and we were set. Now, I'm a white guy, but a white guy who frequents some of the best Indian restaurants in New York, and I've got to say, this is the best Indian food I've had in the States. I have had something on par with this in the U.K., but I was blown away by the quality of this food. Everything is just perfectly delicious, but with a caveat: The Lamb Chops - the special ones - I forget what they call them - are something EXTRA. You have to get those if you at all like lamb. These were seasoned in a way that is crazy good. I could eat those alone for days straight and I am dreaming of them right now wishing I was down in Miami to get my hands on some of them. We finished the night with some homemade pistachio ice cream - very special stuff too, if you like dessert I highly recommend it. What else can I say? This place rocks. Whenever I'm in Miami, I'm headed back, even if I'm in a part of Miami that's nowhere near Coconut Grove.

So many can’t be wrong.

By chrispcaine |

Fantastic. Arriving minutes after opening time, the place was already busy, a sign it is popular and we soon discovered for good reason. Service was quick and personal, food perfectly presented and tasty. Lovely personal touch of the owner/manager attending each table acknowledging the customers commitment to his business. An all round wonderful experience will will definitely repeat when visiting Miami again.

A good place to enjoy Indian food

By j_luisfdez |

It was the second time he enjoyed Indian food. The atmosphere has an exotic touch, but it is nice. There is a large influx of people, which says of the quality of the food. The service was very professional. They treated us with courtesy and kindness. Even a dependent used a friendly and respectful joke. I enjoyed the food and a good beer from India. It is a magnificent place to try a kitchen that is somewhat distant for many in Miami. Eating there it is understood that the way of cooking is a crucial aspect in a culture.

Decent food, good service, but bad atmosphere at the entrance.

By Cool V |

Good food, Good service, but the atmosphere was bad in the front. I dont know if they were owners or managers, but 3-4 indian owner look alike people were standing at the counter in/out and talking loud in their native language, and making fun. It was looking very in-decent. My wife didnt like it at all. They were not at all courteous, and were laughing like very ill-mannered people.

One of our favorite Indian

By Γιώργος Α |

One of our favorite Indian restaurants with lot of options menu and a very satisfying wine list If you don’t make a reservation you have to wait for a while since the place it’s packed literally all the time

Nice restaurant. Good food.

Bombay Darbar is a nice restaurant with friendly and efficient service. The food is also good with a diverse choice of dishes.

Tasty Food

By Global_Family7 |

We were craving Indian food in Miami, seems the reviews live up to the name! Ordered a number of veggie appetizers and entrees, all tasty and fresh. Comparable to great restaurants in London!

By 123 |

Awesome Indian food! My wife says the Tiki Marsala is the best she has ever had and this is her favorite Indian dish! Wow! It was really good, I have to admit. I had the Lamb Vindaloo, which was awesome! They use basamati rice, which is now my favorite type of rice and I believe it is somewhat of a staple in Indian food restaurants, I believe... We also had Garlic Naan bread to go with it and this restaurant gave us generous portions - it was almost like getting too much for our money! Almost. The only negative thing was there was a party of 25 or so in the same room and it was loud! But we adapted by speaking with our outside voices! A good time was had by all! Not romantic, but we can do romance another time.

A standard

We are regulars and we order from here all the time. The bread is top notch and I like the butter chicken so much. I think everyone I know feels like you can never go wrong here. Consistently very good.

Authentic Indian Food in Miami.

By Mehreen R |

Being a foodie myself, and cooking a lot of Indian/pakistani food,i loved the food at Bombay Darbar. We ordered "TAndoori Chicken, Dal Makhani, Lamb chop masala,Tandoori Roti" all of which was excellent. So Definitely recommend all of these. With entrees you get complimentary "Zeera Rice ". For drinks i tried mango lassi , it was good too. Definitely a place where you can get authentic India food .The place was super busy and we had to wait to be seated..But worth the wait.

well managed clean beautiful restaurant with excellent food

By Dushyant P |

We visited Florida for a week 3 days in Key West and 4 days in Miami, this was the best food we had during the days. The place is exceptionally clean, well managed, very good tasty Indian food ( we are vegetarian though they do have non-vegetarianan food and liquor) We thank the owner, manager, and the staff for making our day. We now hope we had found them sooner.

Amazing Indian restaurant

Amazing authentic Indian food. Me and my family enjoyed. Saif offered great service 10/10. We definitely will be coming back.

Excellent food, must try

By linatoday |

I tried their chicken tikka masala, 2 different type of dal, garlic nan, shrimp entree, and appetizer that had samosa with sauce on top forgot the name, and dessert made of milk that comes in milky liquid base pistachio ice cream. Totally worth it. So much flavor. Nice ambience with music and aesthetic bar, excellent service

Always good

By Michael P |

A reliable option. We recently ordered a large lunch for a meeting and it was terrific. I had not thought to use it for take out. I will say the bread stood out but the butter chicken was always top notch. Everyone always seems happy.

Friday Night Dining

By nibaldom2015 |

We have dined here on several occasions and brought some friends who had never tried Indian food. They were truly impressed with the food and the service. Our waiter Yossin was amazing, his attention to detail as well as interacting with us was great. Our friends truly enjoyed the experience. Yossin was nice enough to bring us some desserts to try and they were also delicious. Overall, this place is a must when in Miami.

Dynamic Bombay Darbar in Doral

By Marvalous M |

Excellent new location in Doral. They have a wonderful lunch menu that offers several delicious samplers. Optimal level service with great food and prices.

Must do in Miami

By Mummyoftwo2 |

This is one of the Must Do restaurants in Miami. First you are served with pappadums with 2 dipping sauces. Appetizers are all excellent. Also highly recommend the veg biryani, the garlic naan is perfection, tandoori chicken, chicken vindaloo, aloo gobi, chana masala and daal soup. we did not try desserts but im sure they are excellent. Will definitely go back.

Great food, excellent service

By John V |

Business lunch at this Indian restaurant in the Grove, fantastic service, allowed us to try many small samples of a large variety of plates. The lamb was very juicy. Reasonable prices, will go back.

Terrible service :-(

By mwooduk |

Extremely disappointing to say the least. The Samosa chat, we ordered for an appetizer came out so quickly and was barely lukewarm. The rest of the meal was a little better, we had all vegetarian food, paratha, and rice. The Aloo Gobi was supposed to be medium, but was pretty spicy. The worst part was the service, the service was absolutely terrible. 25 minutes after our main course, no one had been back to check on us, I asked twice for the check and got no response, then I asked to see the manager, and finally someone came to the table. I left zero tip because the service was so appalling. Also, parking is difficult. I had not been here a number of years and will definitely not be going back!

The best food and the best service

By Ebru D |

Absolutely the best indian food! The food is delicious great location and the most important is that service is great. People are friendly. I liked the green chutney sauce and they made a great gesture and they made to go☺️ they are absolutely fantastic.saif is great. He took good care of us!

Outstanding Indian cuisine!

Delicious Indian food in Coconut Grove with friendly staff and nice decor. Wonderful garlic naan, chicken vindaloo (spicy), and chicken korma. Highly recommended!

Flavourful Food...

By Larry M |

I’d recommend this restaurant for authentic Indian food, expertly prepared. Nice Basmati rice, and flavourful butter chicken. Two dishes with rice were enough to satisfy us seniors. Service good, if a bit aloof.

Top notch Indian food and ambience

By Aaron M |

Love Bombay Darbar! I had heard around town about this really good Indian restaurant in Miami’s Coconut Grove area that was really delicious. Since I am fan of Indian cuisine, I figured I would stop by and have a bite to eat. Well boy was I wrong in thinking it was a stop. It became a place that I would return 3/4 times a month and lastly my mother and bother farewell dinner since they were return back home after the holidays. As expected mother and brother enjoyed their dinner and they can’t wait to return. Now i... i will be back on Monday for what know will be an excellent dinner experience. Hands down... my fav in Miami

Excellent Food and Service

By garnetngolden76 |

I’d eaten at Bombay Darbar several times before COVID, and always found the food and service to be excellent. I ate there several weeks ago with my son (my first post-covid visit) and was happy to find that it’s still an excellent restaurant. On the visit several weeks ago, I asked our server, RIYA, for a recommendation and the dish she suggested was wonderful. This evening, I ate there with a friend and was delighted to once again be served by RIYA, especially since she remembered me and asked if I wanted the same dish I’d enjoyed on my last visit. Congratulations to the management at Bombay Darbar for continuing to maintain a high quality of food and service, and also for employing such a wonderful server!

Great Indian food in Coconut Grove

By oneupstatenewyorker |

Our good friends in Miami have been going to this place for years, & no wonder. Five of us for went for a great New Year's mini-reunion of friends, & it was wonderful. Authentic Indian dishes, great wait staff, & nice atmosphere, indoors & out. Prices reasonable for the Grove. Would go again for sure.

If you LOVE Indian food, here's the place to go

If you love Indian food this is the place to go in Coconut Grove. Great atmosphere, food and service. Authentic dishes from different areas in India. Relish!

A must when in Miami

By calvarius |

The food was super!!! We tried tandoori lamb chops difinitely the star of the show! All tried chicken Tikka masala which waiter asked if we wanted 7, 8, 9 or 10 spicy level, we picked 8 and it was really hot! We also liked it a lot. Naan was cooked to perfection, also got mango chicken curry absolutely delicious. Lassi, mango multi, everything really good! Ambiance is really nice, fancy but not pricey, neon like will make you feel in boolywood movie! The waiter was very helpful and friendly. Will make this restaurant a must in every visit to Miami!

What happened? It used to be so good.....

By Robert A |

Haven't been to Bombay Darbar for 4 years and it's the first place we hit on this trip to Miami, eager for the tastes and service we remembered, as well as do some reconnaissance for a special group dinner laster this week. Tonight it was disappointing, mediocre service, dry chicken tandoori, and tiny serving of lamb vindaloo. The super tastes and succulent textures we remembered were no more. No need to go back again, there are too many other places trying harder in Coconut Grove.

Don’t miss it

By sidharathkumar |

1st of all thanks to genuine reviewers of trip advisor, because of reviews I went here and trust me I was not dissatisfied at all. What every food lover (basically we Indians) seeks in a restaurant ? a) mouthwatering food b) quick service They have both guys . It was heavily crowded Sunday and to my shock my food was on my table within some minutes and the taste was awesomeeeeeee MUST VISIT

Excellent Indian Cuisine

By garnetngolden76 |

There are many “favorites” on the menu and the staff is very knowledgeable about what goes into each dish. The service is excellent and prices are reasonable. .

Good Food; Great Service

By jamesprich |

While the food and service quite good, my wife and I found the place uncomfortably chilly. Decor is impressive. We each ordered appetizers and an entree. Portions were quite large--sharing might have been a preferable option. Quite pricy if you include parking. The big drawback is lack of and price of nearby parking.

Cake Cutting Charge?

By 115Holly |

My family of six (4 from the Florida Keys and 2 from Boca Raton) met to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. I made reservations days before since the day fell on Memorial Day Weekend. I spoke with restaurant personnel and asked about birthday dessert options. She assured me that they welcomed diners who brought their own birthday cakes/desserts. Upon arriving, we handed our cake over to our server for storage. Within a few moments, a gentlemen came over to our table to inform us that there would be a $15.00 cake cutting charge. I politely responded that the person taking reservations had not mentioned such a charge. After more conversation than was necessary in my opinion, we informed them that we would take the cake back us and enjoy it later. If I had been informed of this practice, the charge would have been anticipated and accepted. The meal proceeded and was delicious, even though it started out on a bad note. In the end, they did cut the cake for us but noted that they were only honoring what their staff member had told me initially and that in the future, there would be a cake cutting charge. The food was wonderful, our server was attentive. The incident was an unfortunate way to begin a birthday celebration.

Fantastic authentic Indian food

By Tintin |

We visited Bombay Darbar after a review from Davidsbeenhere and boy we were not disappointed at all. They are everything you would desire in a good restaurant. First off the ambience and feel of the restaurant is awesome and something to look forward to. You will feel like coming back to this place. The waiters were extremely courteous. However the most important thing in an restaurant is its food and you won't be disappointed at all. We ordered a Thali and Ala carte Butter chicken with Onion Kulcha and their Mango Lassi. Everything was very tasty and well worth the price (not at all pricey). The only thing I would say is that they could include a couple more options in the Thali. It only had like 1 entree' and I think one dal. Other than this, we totally loved it and will definitely go back.

It's time to go elsewhere.

By Maris |

We've been coming here for years. My entire family. Since the old location, which was albeit small but no detail was spared in the food or service. Sad to say, the end has come for Bombay Darbar. They are a shadow of who they once were. The place is so loud, cramped and hot that you couldn't enjoy your food even if wasn't mediocre. The tandoori is not nearly as flavorful and juicy as it once was and don't waste your time on any of the desserts. We couldn't find a single grain of rice or flavor is the liquid slop that was our rice pudding. The saag paneer was bland. The waiter brought our drinks to one end of the table and just dropped them off, instead of giving them to the person who ordered them with no explanation. Not ideal in a large group. This didn't use to be true but I must say, there are far better Indian restaurants in miami now with far better service. Where they aren't trying to squeeze every inch of space with tables and where you can have a pleasant, non-rushed dining experience with real service and even elbow room. It's time to go elsewhere. They've jumped the shark.

Forever my favorite!

By emilena89 |

For years I have been coming back to Bombay Darbar, never a bad meal, never an Ok meal, always superb! But this past Friday was just above and beyond. We had a reservation, but arrived about 20 minutes late, after waiting for a couple of minutes, they were able to accommodates us. We ordered and noticed that the food was taking a little longer than usual. Our server was Dilip, my boyfriend left the restaurant and kept repeating the entire weekend that Dilip was the best server he had in his life. Someone gave our food to a another table, I wasn’t even upset, because we were really having a good time, but they brought us an extra appetizer, 2 free beers and on top of everything free dessert! Dilip couldn’t apologize enough, a gentleman that seemed to be in charge came to our table to personally apologize. It did take way longer that we had planned, but they made it right in so many ways, and I’m not only talking about the free stuff, but the way they treated us, that we left happy. The food, right off the stove, delicious, hot, the best indian food in town for sure! Come here, you won’t regret it! Thank you guys for making our Friday night amazing.

Good Indian Food

By MARGARET50_11 |

My son heard that this restaurant was under new management and the food was good. We went on a Sunday at lunchtime and unlike many Indian restaurants they did not have a buffet. We had the Samosas, and we ordered enough food to take home for another meal. They do not have Palas rice so we ordered Vegetable Biryani to go with Tandoori Chicken and Mango Chicken. All were excellent.Very tasty. We will certainly return as food and service were both excellent.

Worth the trip every time!

By goinallover_10 |

Since 2021 my wife and I have always ordered from Bombay Darbar whenever we're in Miami because the food has been consistently very good. This time we decided to eat at the restaurant and were not disappointed because we found the service is as wonderful as the food. The manager introduced himself as Alejandro and was very attentive as he went around to the dining guests. Our server, Faisal, was also very helpful and attentive to our needs. The food arrived and was as usual, scrumptious, as it always is. We just love this place and it's simply one of the best restaurants in Miami.

Great Service Good Food

By Prakash R |

The restaurant is located on a busy street on Coconut Grove. Expensive covered parking in the mall nearby is available but there are also street parking meters nearby - currently $3.00 for a hour. We found the street parking to be cheaper than reserved parking from apps like SpotHero. The restaurant itself is in a quiet byway. We had made a reservation for our rather large party of 6 for an evening dinner. We were seated promptly (One of the party members is a frequent visitor to this restaurant and immediately took charge and ordered familiar dishes for those of us going there for the first time). The restaurant has a well stocked bar with a variety of creative cocktails but we decided to stay with Indian beer, a gin and tonic and a glass of the Malbec selection. Our appetizers were the samosas and pakodas - for a group of our size, make sure you order two plates of each. They were served crisp and hot and were quite tasty. We had a mostly vegetarian crowd and had a great selection of vegetarian dishes to order from. We ordered: 1) The Bhindi masala - crisply fried okra cooked in exotic blend of north Indian spices 2) The Dal Makhani - Whole black beans cooked in creamy onion sauce with tomatoes, ginger and garlic. 3) Shahi Vegetable Korma - Mixed vegetables cooked in creamy sauce with nuts and raisins. 4) Saag Paneer - Traditional Indian cheese, simmered in a mixture of fresh spinach, onions, tomatoes, ginger, garlic and Indian spices. 5) Two baskets of onion kulcha and garlic naan - unleavened flat breads to dunk the curries in.. 6) The only meat dish: Saag Chicken - Chicken cooked with a rich sauce made with fresh spinach, garlic, onions, tomatoes and a blend of Indian spices. This was NOT boneless. In true Indian fashion, we shared the dishes. The food was plentiful and we certainly did not leave hungry and were even able to pack food for the next day. The food was definitely well made but not superlatively exceptional - with a taste that was not exceedingly spicy. The food came slowly - the restaurant was very crowded on a weekend evening; The nans were a little dry. The dining ambience is crowded yet elegant. Tables are quite close together. People coming in are dressed well - makes for an elegant fine dining experience. As people who have travelled the world over, spent many formative years in India, and sampled many Indian restaurants throughout the US, I give this a four out of five. Bombay Darbar still makes for a pleasant evening of food, conversation and drinking on a night out on the town and is a mid-priced establishment in an expensive town.

Excellent Indian!

By Summer W |

We came back here after 4 years away, and it was just as delicious as we remembered. We always eat here every time we come to Miami. They give good sized portions, and do not skimp on the meat! I recommend making a reservation as they stay busy, especially on the weekends.

Beautiful Indian Restaurant - Great ambiance, but lacking a bit if you're looking for flavorful fare

By BarryL333 |

We were very pleased with the atmosphere, the service and the location. It definitely felt upscale. However, I have to say that the food was only average as compared to most Indian restaurants I've visited. We ordered some typical Indian dishes (Chicken Tikka Masala and Korma) and they were just ok...Not bad, but certainly not in the top 1/3 of what I've ever had. Location-wise, it's not convenient to us, so we have never gone back, but it would be interesting to know if it was just a consistency thing or just our luck that night. Based on how busy it was, it seemed like we were the only ones that felt lukewarm about it, but we have to be honest. We haven't been back, even though we loved the restaurant and the service was 5 star!!!

Best Vegetable Biryani I ever had

By Akhilesh |

This place is a must visit for all the travellers visiting Miami. The ambience, staff and food are excellent. Kudos to the Chef for making an exotic Vegetable Biriyani. Never tasted such good Biriyani in US. I am sure Non-Veg Biriyani's will also be as good as Veg.

Worst Indian food ever

By Michael W Cech |

To start with the positive. Waitress Grace Anne was the perfect host. When it comes to the food. Honestly, this was the worst Indian food ever. We love Indian food and go for it all over the world. And we loved Bombay Darbar for many, many years. Habe not been here since the start of the pandemic, and since then it went down. The starter was still OK, the spicy chicken wings were not bad. The main courses, Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala were the worst ever. Cooked, dry chicken pieces in bland sauces, no Indian flavour at all. The cheapest version of Indian food we ever tried. If you buy an Indian food in a can it‘s better. Either the chef never tasted Indian food or they just try to cook as quick and cheap as possible. We were really so disappointed.

Beautiful amazing place food

Very Good Indian

By Duacoub |

We eat here on each visit to Miami. Very good quality though we were a bit disappointed on this visit. Not bad…but not the same level of taste as we were accustomed to having here.

Very good visit

By annmrt |

Very friendly staff- helpful and friendly. Excellent food- full of taste, cooked to our request, meals weren't too big or too small. My only complaint is that they overfilled the restaurant and the tables were too close together.

Excellent

By _rnshuklag |

We visited the restaurant for our dinner. The food was excellent and the service was excellent too. Environment is also very good.

Absolute stand out

By Coroona |

Walk in Saturday night dinner in Miami. Greeted by a lovely front of house and promptly shown to our table and formally introduced to our lovely waitress. Menu was extensive ( like most Indian restaurants) The quality of what we received was an absolute stand out. Everything we ordered was just fantastic. Deep authentic Indian favours Good wine list The service was first class Reasonable pricing Highly recommended

Best Indian Food in Miami

By Ashton Adler |

Bombay Darbar is the bomb. Every time we are close to Coconut Grove, we come here. The Vegetable Samosas, Chana Masala and Dal Takka are the jam. Order every naan that you can. The garlic naan is better than any other that I have previously had. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. The manager will come over to see how you are doing even on the busiest nights and the staff is expertly trained. Speaking of busy nights, it’s usually full. Call ahead or get there early. They come in clutch with delivery, as well. You will not be disappointed.

Taste of India

By 30Asha |

After having travelled for almost a month touring the US. Eating in Bombay Darbar gave a feeling of home. The awesome thali with the authentic aloo gobi, yellow dal, basamiti rice with roti and the samosa was a heart warming treat. It is a very clean place with very courteous staff. The non vegetarian food is awesome. We tried the chicken masala. I wish I could try some more of their dishes. I think all must try this place if you are in Miami.

Nice and best restaurant in Miami

By ROYAL INDIA RESTAURENT EC |

Very nice food , manager is very nice and helpful , food is excellent 10/10 just little need to change staff attitude , staff is ignoring because I am Indian person just try to speak white people very bed experience about this , I just order starters and try to eat something more or may be dessert but no happy so I left otherwise nice food and Mr Vaibhav manger is nice to help and apologize for staff also but still if you have big name restaurant to look proper management ...

Okay lunch

By NJ_Bettan |

We ate lunch here. Sat outside. Quite private as the restaurant was not busy at all. They have an interesting lunch menu where you get a little bit of everything. naan, rice, entrée, dessert. The food was okay but I really disliked the serving containers. They were stainless steel and reminded me of dog food bowls. Our waiter was kind of snobby and condescending. Commented on my shirt - said we don't usually see that here. Not sure what that meant.

The gold standard

By M H |

Bombay Darbar quite simply is the gold standard of Indian food in Miami. It never, ever disappoints. We were served by a kind, young man called Raj, who was attentive and expeditive. Needless to say, we are regulards and will continue being so for the foreseeable future.

I didn't think they could get better, but they did

By IRBDave |

We love this place and go there whenever we visit Miami, so we were looking forward to this as we hadn't been down for a while. The poppadoms were delicious with the 2 dips, so we good we asked if we could buy an extra portion which they did complimentary for us. Then we had vegetable Pakora, they were so good and a decent portion. We had mango chicken and lamb rogan josh for the main courses, the lamb was out of this world, so tender and tasteful. The chicken was also spot on as well as the Naan bread. Service was excellent, the place was hoping for a Monday night. This is one of my top recommendations for a restaurant anywhere.

Wonderful experience!

By Liliana E |

We had such a wonderful experience at Bombay Darbar in Miami, largely thanks to our server. He was incredibly kind, attentive, and efficient from start to finish. When one of our dishes turned out to be too spicy for us, he immediately had it remade without any hesitation. Everything we asked for came out quickly, and he made sure we were happy the entire time. To top it all off, he surprised us with complimentary rice pudding for dessert, which was such a thoughtful and generous touch. Amazing service and hospitality—we’ll definitely be back!

Best Indian Authentic Cuisine

By Conceptia D |

Delicious awesome indian food. Tried having lamb biryani, butter chicken, garlic nan as main course, chicken wings as starters and to sum it all yummy kulfi. ♥ the ambience, lively environment, spacious sitting arrangements, lovely food and warm friendly service oriented staff with lead of Manager Mario.

Always the Best!

By Mike T |

Bombay Darbar is the best Indian restaurant in Miami. It has consistently excellent food and outstanding service. The ambiance is good and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommended!!!

Worst service ever!

By Tifa P |

I am proud to declare that this is the worst service I have ever received in Miami to date (and after living here for years that is truly an achievement!) If you want to order delivery from them DO NOT USE THEIR WEBSITE. They prepared my food and left it sitting out for over an hour. When I called to inquire, they first tried to tell me that I did not order to the restaurant. After being gaslit for three minutes, I forward them my confirmation email, and suddenly wouldn't you know the food was right there! They rushed it over but the BS doesn't stop there. The owner gave me a quick "sorry" and hung up on me. I was not given the chance to cancel. When the food arrived, it was stone cold, the lamb was essentially seasoned bones and the shrimp dish had 7 pieces of shrimp and 4 pieces of potato. The naan was scorched and to top it all off the delivery person stood at the door and DEMANDED A TIP from my mother a small, elderly woman. She handed him the $10 tip that I previously prepared for them and he finally disappeared. If for some reason you want to order delivery from them after this I suggest you do the following: (1) order through a delivery app that way when they f*** up your order you have some recourse, and (2) DO NOT TIP THEM before they bring you anything, do not mention or promise them a tip because they are no better than the mafia and will shake you down to get what they want. I'm sure this won't hurt their business at all, but if this saves one person from a hungry stomach and a soul full of RAGE then I suppose it was worth it. And in case anyone from the restaurant is reading this learn some customer service and human decency.

Quality food but slightly overpriced

By Karjanmed |

Good food and good service. The lunch thali was right proportion and well done but could have been priced down a little bit. Decor is decent.

Very good

By Kathleen B |

This restaurant was very good and the service was amazing. Our waitress Chama was the best and made this experience even better thanks to her professionalism. Everyone was very nice, the food was really good. I will come back.

Quality: Not as Smooth as Butter(Chicken)

By King Cobra |

I have heard a lot of hype regarding this restaurant's food; specifically with the butter chicken dish. I take my Indian Food very seriously, so I made sure to cull my expectations. As I walked in with my party, the venue was very active and beautiful. However, as the night progressed, the charm of the restaurant quickly started to fade. For my order, I asked for naan, butter chicken, and mango lassi, my favorite drink. When we got our food, I had to ask for another bowl of rice instead of splitting with another, because I needed the extra to go with what was pretty much butter sauce soup with a small amount of chicken in it. I would've been fine if the flavor was bussin', but the seasonings did not wow me at all. As I tried to ignore the disappointment of my main entree, I decided to take a sip of my lassi. Mistake number two. My mango lassi contained way too much yogurt and overpowered the mango flavor. On top of all that, I was not down with how the only way to pay among our party of eight was to split the check between four cards instead of individually, which ended up being a nightmare. The only reason why this restaurant gets a three is because my friend's lamb ribs hit right, the atmosphere was nice, service was decent, and the naan was pretty good. Thanks for the carry, naan!

Best Indian restaurant in US

By Danny |

I’ve been to countless number Indian restaurants in the US and UK. The Indian food in the UK is still hands down the best in the world however Bombay Darbar is very close. I only order chicken vindaloo and garlic naan everywhere I go and it’s one of the best - certainly a gem in Miami of all places.

Consistent Solid Citizen

By GarryDesAmours |

Over time, Bombay Darbar has become our favorite Indian restaurant in Miami. We went back for Sunday brunch after church. In spite of the fact that they were very busy with a lot of Indian guests visiting Miami for the Labor Day holiday, they didn’t compromise on the food or the service. Although you should not judge a book by his cover, you can judge an ethnic restaurant by the type of people they attract. When you see a lot of Indians in an Indian restaurant, it is an obvious sign of authenticity of the cuisine. My Tandoori Lamb chops and the Fish Nilgiri were just perfect. As usual, their Daal Makhani is consistently good. You can’t go wrong at Bombay Darbar for great and authentic Indian food.

Good place

By Dhawal |

Been here for once...but must say the place really mesmerised me by the food they serve ....indian.food lovers you should visit

Loved the food, service & atmosphere

By Amber R |

Fantastic food & very attentive service. We will be returning again for more. And the reusable to go bag they give you for the leftovers, is high quality & a great touch.

Decent but could be better food, atrocious service

By Orlando S |

Unsure if this is a restaurant on the rise or decline. We were a party of two and received a very nice greeting by a host and were seated promptly. Things took a turn for the worse when our server, Vlad the Impaler, arrived. He positively oozed dis-interest and added absolutely nothing to the experience - in fact he detracted pretty significantly as he hovered endlessly and from minute 1 seemed to be playing a "hurry-up" game (I'd have guessed he might only be in larger covers but the party of four that got seated next to us seemingly got the same Vlad experience). The food too was a mixed bag - the Lamb Pasanda (medium) was very good - the lamb was tender and the flavour was good (very nicely spiced for a medium dish) though the portion was fairly small. On the other hand the Chicken Tikka was a very generous portion though the flavor was a Tale Of Two Cities -- 3 of the pieces at one end of the sizzle dish had an extremely good, rich Tandoori flavor while three pieces on the right side of the same sizzle plate seemed had their flavor dwarfed by something ridiculously hot, as if they were cooked next to a chili pepper. The rice was a very meager portion for two, though more was offered by the nice host when he checked back in. The naan bread was also a disappointment - the regular nan had a good flavor but was very thin and somewhat small. The garlic naan was also thin and small but also cold. All in all the meal had some promise but I'm not sure there was enough to want to come back.

great Hindu food at good prices

By hectorfrommiami |

This time I ordered to be delivered. Like usual, good size portions of delicious food at a reasonable price. It never disappoints to eat here. To me, this is THE place for Hindu food.

Disappointed

By Rose Healy |

We received a recommendation for this restaurant so our expectations were high. That is probably why we were so disappointed. The staff were cheerful and accommodating. We originally were seated in a corner of a booth not facing one another. There was no place to put our legs and they kept hitting each other so we requested to be moved which the staff did quickly. We ordered chicken wings to start with cocktails. I asked the waiter to deliver our dinner after we finished the starter and cocktails but another man showed up with our dinner a few minutes later and dumped everything on the table. We felt VERY rushed. The restaurant was fairly empty so no one was waiting for our table. The chicken wing starter was absolutely tasteless. They were serve with a brown sauce that also had no flavor. Our main course was lamb chops tandoori and mango chicken. The lamb chops also had no flavor. If you concentrated you could faintly taste lamb. The chicken and lamb were either frozen or marinated too long to remove their taste. It was strange. We ordered three types of naan and each was delicious. They make naan well! The mango chicken was also good but the yellow lentils were watered down. They were like a soup. When the bill arrived it had printed on it a request to leave ASAP so the restaurant can use the table. That was rude enough but our waiter circled it in pen. I regret not taking a picture of it! The entire meal took under one hour, very rushed.

Best Indian restaurant in Miami!

By JCR |

If you are looking for a true Indian restaurant, do not hesitate and go directly to Bombay Darbar @ Coconut Grove. If you do not like spicy, they will accommodate each meal to make sure you can enjoy the Mango Chicken Curry, Lamb chop Masala, Tandoori Shrimps... if you like spicy... say nothing and you feel to be in Bombay!... Staffs are really friendly, attentive and quite fast service with very large dinner room! Make a reservation and enjoy!

Been here several times as my preferred place to stay when in town is the Grove. Place is usually very busy Tandori dishes always look good when on route to other tables. Tried Tandori once but it looked better than tasted Menus is limited and according to waiter it’s all pre prepaid Lamb Biryani is enough for Four persons and was very nice. All in all it’s Ok for a curry and good portion sizes Manager not my cup of tea Never had a direct conflict but witnessed several.

Great! Great! Indian food!

By Roger B |

We tried different dishes, all of them were great! I recommend the lamb, the chicken tikka-masala medium hot and the Taj Majal Indian beer!

Excellent authentic Indian restaurant in Coconut Grove. Extremely good value

By mw741002 |

Went for dinner. We were given complementary pappadoms and two salsa-type sauces (in Europe we normally have lime pickle, mango chutney, mint raita). We chose shrimp vindaloo $18.95 and Goan shrimp curry $19.95 which came with rice included. We were asked by the waiter the level of spiciness that we liked. The shrimps were fresh and the dishes were spiced exactly as requested. The service too was excellent. With sparkling water $6.50 and a really good and reasonably priced Cabernet Sauvignon $49, tax and service the meal for 2 came to $126 which we consider is extremely good value.

Good, but not great

By loren p |

This Indian restaurant is the highest rated in Coconut Grove. I love Indian food and was excited when our group of 4 decided to go there. The service was top notch, the food as a whole was good, but my lamb biryan was disappointing. It was very dry. The rice was almost crispy, as if it had been baked. The lamb was chewy, dry, and lacked that great biryani flavor I was seeking. But, overall this restaurant was a good experience for the group.

Ate here 3 times in 4 days!

By Cathie B |

We stayed nearby and this was by far the best food! The lentil soup is fantastic as are the onion bhajis!

Lunch visit

By Ronald |

I am not a beer lover but manager insisted to order the taj majal beer. What a fine tasting beer. Then we ordered the following: mango chicken curry, chicken korma, chicken with mushrooms and a shrimp dish.. all dishes where amazing. Fantastic mix of spices.

Exquisite flavors and service!

By Haleyzidik |

Had a great dining experience at Bombay Darbar thanks to our server Preety, who provided excellent service throughout the meal. The butter chicken and the lamb chop masala were absolutely amazing - the flavors were exquisite. We truly enjoyed every bite! We will definitely be returning soon and recommending Bombay Darbar to our friends and family. Thank you for the memorable evening!

Wow what a surprise, must go

By linatoday |

Food and ambience excellent. Authentic great food. Wonderful service. We had the shrimp, chicken, daal, nan, dessert, mango lassi, mushroom everything was so good

Ordered Chaos with interesting food and attentive service

By iain |

Saturday night at BOMBAY DARBAR --very busy, very loud, but fabulous attentive service - complete with extensive consultations with waiters and management on menu options for a guest with tricky needs. Service was superb, the food was interesting and exceeded expectations - particularly recommend the mushroom curry and the Tandoori lamb chops. Of course we ordered more than we could finish, but the attentive staff jumped to the need to replate to take-out containers.

Love this Restaurant, excellent service great food

By cvmiami |

Love this Restaurant, excellent service great food. We have the tandoori chicken, little spicy but perfect with the seasoned rice. Hubby got the garbanzos (Chickpeas) perfect mix of spices, heat and homemade cooking. Place is busy, spacious. Yas is a great waitress, Mario the manager was also very kind and aware of the whole floor. You can tell a lot of the clients come here often. Will go back for sure :)

Fun Place and Food Out of the Ordinary

By jorgegrr |

My wife and I plus four friends, (husbands & wives) were there a few nights ago and had a blast. The food is delicious, exotic and you can share. The service was right up there too. Try some of their dishes and don't be shy or squeamish. Try it you'll like it!! This place has a nice vibe to it and they do come and check to see if everything is up to order. We'll be going back for sure!

Best Indian!

Delicious

By LocalRam |

Amazing Indian food. The rice dishes are excellent and a meal in themselves. We split one four ways as an app. We always get the hot butter chicken. We added in some lamb vindaloo too which was amazing. Been twice in just a few days while on vacation.

Excellent Naan. Delicious

By EmilyMSellsMiami |

Excellent Naan. Delicious mango yogurt drink. Amazing lamb dish! Gorgeous outside seating. Highly recommend but prepare to go to bed right after very filling. They have an awesome lunch special where you get samosas, a protein, naan rice and a cute desert for a great price

Delicious food, great value for money, wonderful service

By Nick_the_Hat |

The best Indian restaurant in Miami. - dined here and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Unpretentious, authentic and able to adjust spice levels to your palette on every dish. Freshly cooked food that really tickles your taste buds - where hot means hot and spicy - not hot with no flavor Indian cuisine that is lovely. The Jalebi Chaat starter is most unusual and totally moreish (moorish?) Goan shrimp is simply superb Lovely light naans All served with courtesy and politeness and warmth. Raman deserves a very special mention Thank you so much! See you again. One to remember and revisit here in Miami

Overpriced

By Gabriela C |

Did not enjoyed the food or the place. Too noisy!! Food was just nah ... have had better Indian food at 1/3 of the price in Quito and in London. Would not recommend.

Enjoyed and Great service

By Priti P |

Bombay Darbar has the best Indian food in the town. Great curries and naan. The quality of the vegetarian dishes is rich and tasty. The service is friendly and prompt. ALTAF was assigned to our table. He is simply the best with a great sense of humor. Greatly appreciate how they ask how spicy we would like our food, able to customize depending on who you are dining with. I would highly recommend this place.

Great Indian restaurant

By Greg L |

What a great place, especially when there were six of us. The setting was perfect allowing us a place to sit in covered area outside the main dining room. The good was excellent and the prices very reasonable. Everyone had a great time.

Culinary Expedition to India at Bombay Darbar, Coconut Grove

By rkaemp |

My dining experience at Bombay Darbar in Coconut Grove, Florida, was nothing short of extraordinary. Right from the outset, the restaurant manifested commendable service, with the staff diligently checking on us multiple times, ensuring our needs were being met. To commence our Indian journey, we were served crunchy papadums with red and green sauces. The red sauce, with its zesty and subtly sweet undertones, was an absolute delight, and emerged as the clear favorite for both my daughter and me. The main courses were a revelation in themselves. The Malai Kofta, which I often order for delivery, was simply exceptional. The wholesome vegetable balls doused in a tantalizing sauce were outstanding, easily rivalling the best I've ever had worldwide. Equally impressive was the Channa Masala, a dish not typically on my favorites list. Yet, it managed to impress with its rich flavors and the right amount of spice. Our meal was accompanied by Garlic Naan and Paratha. Freshly served and piping hot, the naan was pleasingly buttery, while the Paratha held its own with its flaky texture and flavor. A Mango Lassi was my chosen refreshment for the evening, and it didn't disappoint. Its refreshing and healthful blend acted as a soothing antidote to the medium-spiced curry. What further adds to the appeal of Bombay Darbar is its reasonable pricing, offering great value for the quality and portion of food served. All things considered, I am more than eager to revisit Bombay Darbar for another dose of their spectacular Indian cuisine. Highly recommended!

Great food, great value

By loublou06 |

A perfect evening in all regards. Great menu, excellent authentic Indian food, friendly prompt service, and exceptional value.

Decent Indian Food.

By OReilly39 |

I think I had too high expectations for this restaurant. I love Indian food and seek it out when I travel. So I have some experience with Indian cuisine. Generally the the food and service was good, though it did not blow my sox of. The Tandori Lamb was my favorite, and I also enjoyed the Chaat appetizer. The lamb josh was only ok, nothing special. So if you love Indian food, it is worth checking out.

Friends and food

By Chill Cloud |

This restaurant has a great ambience. The staff are very friendly and professional. The food served was very presentable. The food was authentic. You could taste the flavor and could tell that a lot effort was put in by their chefs. We went back several times to this restaurant and the taste of the food was consistent.

Artificial coloring

By Monica M |

I can’t believe this upscale restaurant uses artificial food coloring and that too in Dal makhani. I am allergic to food coloring and broke out. The left over we took to go, made the rice turn orange from mere contact of the Dal makhani. They are priced on the higher side and should use good ingredients.

Flew in from London Craving Indian... Better than what I’ve eaten in Bombay!

By Paul S |

Flew in from london - eaten too much steak and seafood... Indian is a family favourite, so we were all craving it... wasn’t expecting much in Miami... BOY WHERE WE WRONG! The food is so delicious - tandoori chicken wings/ lamb chops and chicken Tika to start, chicken biriani ( very impressed) chicken Vindaloo, butter chicken and Lamb rojangosh for mains - very very authentic and tasty! Will be my first stop in Miami when I am back! I’ve been to India over 15 times and eaten in all the best Indian restaurants in London and Dubai! This place is JUST AS GOOD and HUGE Portions! Amazing atmosphere too! Well done guys - best meal in Miami so far 😀

Amazing

We had butter chicken and chicken tikka masala. Both outstanding. The waitress that took care of us was extremely nice and helpful

Wow, what a surprise!

By Anna1963 |

My husband loves Indian food, but I did not until we tried Bombay Darbar! The place was very nice and the food was an absolute surprise for me. We are now suggesting Bombay Darbar to everyone we know!

Indian food at its best!

By StephenCross |

Great interior and very large. Service good. Nice Taj beer ( big bottle is good size). Food was really good and the medium spicy flavor was hot! Mango curry really good. Vegetarian Chana masala was very good as well. Like the free rice refills. Prices reasonable. Recommended.

Satisfy a craving!

Solid Indian food. Ate until our hearts were content. Our favorite dishes were butter chicken and Tandoori shrimp.

Excellent Indian food

By tarzanterri |

If you like Indian food, this place is a must. The place was rockin on a Saturday night, but we were seated immediately. Portions were generous and the food was really, really good.

Maybe be the best in miami but not worth the time

By lvosx |

We travel a lot and love Indian food, but this was our first and last time trying Darbar. We tried the basic dish chicken tikka masala, naan and lamb korma and all needed more spices and salt. We recently brought spices back from Dubai and Netherlands and those spices were much better. I can name restaurants in Jacksonville and Orlando Florida that tastes better. Great location and atmosphere in the grove, but clearly dissapointed in food. Sorry not worth the trip!

A Well Deserved Winner

By germanr288 |

We’ve frequented this restaurant since it’s early days in the small locale in Mc Donald St., and it has never disappointed. The food is excellent, the staff is attentive and always willing to guide and please the clientele, the prices are reasonable. We are happy to continue to enjoy its food while supporting the huge entrepreneurial effort behind the new super-sized location. If you are in the Grove area, this restaurant is a must.

Must try when you visit Miami .. Highly recommended

By Ruchi D |

This place has definitely the best Indian food I have experienced in any tourist place till now. We were visiting Florida from New York and we landed late evening and we wanted to have proper dinner as we had travelled and were extremely tired. This restaurant was so much packed, that we thought we will have to wait for a long time. The staff was so much friendly and welcoming, they accommodated us very quickly. The interior of this restaurant was spectacular and food top notch. The atmosphere is vibrant and colorful. After our visit to this restaurant, we have recommended it to every family or friend who have visited Miami and everyone loved it as much as we did.... and we make sure, we visit it more than one time when we visit Miami.

Excellent restaurant

By stan764 |

Both this place and its sister restaurant in Fort Lauderdale provide excellent and tasty Indian cuisine. As we are a European couple, a measure of quality of the place is fact that most customers are Asian. We go out of our way whenever nearby to stop by for lunch. Always glad we did.

One great day

By Sergio S |

i took my wife today to Bombay restaurant so she can try the Indian food and I was trill for the attention and the quality of the food in that place, so impress that I marked the place as one of my favorite Indian restaurant. Thank you guys for so great afternoon.

Absolutely Wonderful

By Michael T |

The meal was wonderful. Long waits on weekends unless you make a reservation. We had lamb dishes along with their wonderful flat breads. We experienced a wonderful meal.

Drawn by the good reviews.

By Robert S |

Ate here last week during a week-long stay in Miami. We arrived without a reservation and as a result had a wait of only ten minutes sitting outside on the sidewalk.I can say that it was worth it.They serve excellent authentic vegetable pokara.Accompanied by tasty chilli sauce and chutney.I sampled the Lamb Rogan Jos.The lamb was tender and just about the right amount of spiciness. The rice well cooked. Our party also ordered two chicken vindaloo dishes,a Chicken Tikka Masala and a Goanese fish curry. The naan breads were beautiful if a little small and the Taj beer the perfect accompaniment to wash it down.Overall a successful meal. But anyone suggesting that it's the best curry they have ever eaten should pay a visit to Glasgow.

Loved this

By A_McDowell2017 |

My husband and I had dinner at this restaurant a few hours ago. He hasn’t stopped talking about how good the food and service was since we left. It was an amazing meal. We ordered the garlic naaan, butter chicken and lamb vindaloo. We were both very impressed. We’re already planning our next trip back. Our server Chama was the best. She really made us feel comfortable and was very knowledgeable about the menu. Also the mango margarita was amazing. Loved it!

Mario & Javier gave our family such fantastic service! We will definitely become regulars here as we cannot wait to come back again. Butter Chicken was our favorite dish.

Excellent Indian Food!

This restaurant was ranked pretty highly on Tripadvisor and it did not disappoint! The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was great. Definitely a restaurant I'll visit when in the area again!

Superb Indian Meal

Whilst on holiday in Coconut Grove, Miami we decided to visit the Bombay Darbar and were very fortunate to get a table without a reservation. The food was excellent as was the service, the restaurant was packed, when we left after finishing our meal people were still queuing outside. Make sure you make a reservation in order to avoid being disappointed.

Style over substance

Style over substance. Didn't enjoy any of the food. Looks like they cater more to a western palette Cocktails are great Friendly staff

We had a great experience here, the service is impeccable. The lamb rogan josh is the star here, we also had the butter chicken which wasn’t overly impressive.

Authentic Indian cuisine and great service!

By Baje246 |

From the time I was seated to my table, I knew my server was going to be fantastic! He wasn't energetic and extremely knowledgeable. Great suggestions based on both my previous Indian food exploration and my preferences. I loved that he was willing to veto one of my suggested items which apparently wouldn't have made an ideal pairing. The result was divine! 10 extra points to a rich and superb onion kulcha - So good!. Not quite but alarmist exceeded by a supremely tender and flavourful lamb. Overall the recommendation I'd received to try this restaurant was well deserved. I will certainly return on travels. Ambience 4.5/5 Food taste & flavour 5/5 Speed of preparation 5/5 Attentiveness 5/5 Value for money 5/5

What a line up!

Super busy Indian restaurant. Please make a reservation beforehand. Food was delicious esp the biryani and the Paneer vegetable.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meals.

Wonderful food and service. We had both vegetarian and non vegetarian meals and they were spiced to perfection.

Great Indian in the grove!

By Daniel P |

Excellent cozy upscale Indian restaurant located in the heart of coconut grove. Everything from the appetizers to the dessert was delicious. We had vegetable samosas, chana masala, and then rice pudding for dessert. The service was impeccable. Will definitely return.

Great meal with great friends!

From start to finish the food was spectacular. The service was one of a kind and the atmosphere was vibrant. I will definitely come back for more.

Even with a strong stomach, this food was too much

By TravelisHeaven |

The service was lovely. The food however tasted just ok, not a lot of choices either, for example the don’t have the naan with fruit in it. Didn’t dislike the food just wasn’t the most flavorful. The issue was later. For this reason wouldn’t recommended, especially not for a date. Staff is friendly and they deserve praise for making each guest feel welcome.

Safest Indian restaurant in Miami to recommend

By Charles C |

It always is all right, but never meets the best standard of Rochester,NY, or Niagara Falls, never mind New York City, Chicago or London. The spices heavy rather than stimulating. Nonetheless, nicely furnished, attentive wait staff, not sorry to have brought someone there..

Very tasty and delicious Indian food

I ordered dinner to be delivered and it took a little long, but the food was delicious and the portion good sized. Prices adjusted accordingly. This place never disappoints. I will order or visit the restaurant anytime soon

Terrible service from Manager/Mario

By Rita B |

We have been going for the last 4 years to this Grove restaurant whether take out or dining inside. Unfortunately tonite I found a hair in the food which is unacceptable. I made the waitress aware of the situation and she informed the Manager, Mario. On top of that the chicken cube in the dish was so hard I expelled discretely in my napkin. After discussing the hair situation to Mario he was loud and very defensive claiming people do this every other night with claims like mine so that do not have to pay. Believe me we eat all over the Grove since we live there. He said he would make me another one dish and I politely several times declined. Believe it or not he came back with the same entree anyway. He was very rude and told us we still have to pay for the new dish. We were very perplexed to say the least so I finally informed him about the chicken issue. I didn’t want to make a scene but we told him we were not paying for the dish since I told him from the beginning I didn’t want it. He later asked me to show the hair which I threw on the ground initially. He offered a 10% discount off the whole meal. After being threaten to have the police called on us he finally decided settled for a $9 discount instead of his initial $4 discount. Basically I could care less about the money it was the treatment that was so degrading and lack of good service that was so unsettling! Guess going there is not an option for us moving forward. Mario needs to learn good customer service and manners would be nice!!!!!!

Great Curry

By chris07s2017 |

Visited while on vacation in Miami 4 people . We were welcomed and shown to our table the waitress was very attentive and we had drinks at the table very quickly. The menu is not huge but what we had was really tasty. I ordered the Vegetable Samosas followed by the Chicken Vindaloo which was spicy but not overpowering. Papadoms are complmentory and the pickles are gorgeous. Overall well worth a visit, we will be back next time we are in Miami.

Super service

Service was exemplary ! Honey & Aidan were great ! Very fast & welcoming people ! Chilli gobhi & ragda Patti’s was great ! Daal & chicken was average ! But welcoming nature & warmth of servers stole the show for us

The best authentic Indian food

By Rose |

This place is not about adding color to the food or providing a facade. The taste of each dish is unique and the spices are prepared to your likeness. Our server was able to guide us with the level of spice we wanted in our food. Many non-meat options available, but that is expected in an Indian restaurant. The Naan Breads are to die for!

This place is the whole package.

By Shellygolller |

This place is the whole package. Food was delicious so so so good. They are social distancing and wearing masks everything was so clean. Mango Margarita was refreshing and Unique!

Been here numerous times and never disappoints!

This is some of the best indian food in miami! not only is it in a great location, at Coconut grove, but the food is great and plentiful. i love going here with friends or family and feasting and even taking home leftovers for the next day. one of my favorite spots

Surprisingly good, even if you don't love Indian!

By ToTellTheTruthHonest |

Always reluctant to go to an Indian restaurant, it is just not my thing! But could not believe that I actually found many things to eat, it was super fresh and loved it!

Nice Indian food

By Jessica W |

We visited the restaurant for lunch and the portions were very generous! The service was impeccable and the naan very good! I haven’t been to India and can’t claim I know what real Indian food is about but I was a bit disappointed because at Bombay Darbar it wasn’t as tasty as I’m used to... I also missed the sugar-coated fennel seeds usually served at the end

A Taste of India in Miami

By citizen0103 |

Hands down the best Indian food we have eaten in Miami! The flavors are amazing. Their new (not so new) location is very nice. The servers are Good and I like the fact that their staff is diverse, and male and female. The quality is the food seems Good. The food is well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The rice is of Good quality and cooked perfectly every time. Can’t say enough about this place. We even like their take-out containers and how helpful they are with packing-up because there is usually food left to take home! One of my new faves! Amazing job Bombay Darbar!

Perfect Indian Food

By Aeloa |

The best Indian food I’ve ever had. The flavor of the sauces and chutneys were so complex and layered. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious.

Great food!

By Simon R |

This restaurant is divided into 3 areas - the main restaurant, a covered atrium and outside seating. We selected the atrium to avoid any humidity of sitting outside and the noise of the main restaurant (very loud). Our choice of seating was perfect for us and the service was friendly and speedy. My wife ate a chicken curry and I had the chicken korma, with samosa chaat as a starter. All very good, washed down with a fine Taj Mahal ale. A highly recommended location.
