If you looking for a traditional steakhouse, with excellent, professional customer service, and a impeccably prepared steak, then this is the place!

.Tuesday nite, 7 p.m. The rib-eye was very difficult to cut — much gristle, which also made chewing tricky. The spinach was not pleasant, I sent it back after one bite. The foie gras was lovely. Next morning I had a ferocious bout of diarrhea, and lost most of the dinner— probably the spinach. The place was bustling with waiters, but it was very difficult to catch anyone’s eye. Noisy as usual. We had a corner “ quiet” table, and a group of lawyers joined the next one and practiced for the next shouting-over-the -Grand-Canyon contest. Sad: after four or five previous dinners there, we shall not return. R. J. Fusillo

Like every year we attended the IPPE Poultry exhibition in Atlanta and knowing that during these dates it is hard to book tables in a top restaurant , we did reserve in time but still had to wait for an hour. But then we were treated very well : Excellent food and service who even gave a us some free starters as apology for the wait. A good place for a fine dinner and a great bar

Excellent steaks and great overall experience. Had to buy a pair of slacks at the golf store next door because I only had shorts for this trip, but I appreciate the dress code. Good atmosphere. Excellent waiter.

The food, service and atmosphere is jaw dropping. I was worried that two women at lunch would get bad service but it was exceptional. The bread was hot and plentiful. The steak cooked just right even the salmon was delicious. The only disappointment was weak coffee and espresso.

First time. We celebrated my besties 50th bday. Wow! Reservations perfect. Ken our waiter was on it! He was right on time with everything. Decor was classic but not stuffy. The place was packed. I had Bones salad and lobster bisque. It was delish. Table was festive for celebration. After dinner they brought out cake. The table shared it. Friend had lobster tail. The other 2 had steak. Overall- great evening with great food, service and company.

My husband I and visited Atlanta for the weekend and looked forward to our first visit at Bones. We were overall unimpressed. My husband ordered the bone in ribeye which was cooked to the correct temperature, medium, but was terribly salty. I ordered the crab stuffed trout and it was under seasoned, dry, and I had to request more of the butter sauce to make it edible. For dessert we had the cheesecake which had a weird texture. Although the service was exceptional, the food quality was not up to the standards of fine dining that we’re accustomed to.

This of course is my favorite restaurant in Atlanta. The food, service and atmosphere are great.it has a casual nature, but yet old school elegance.

I love their Bang Bang Shrimp. The Customer service is always good when we go. We love to go for date night.

I had a wonderful steak with a huge baked potato that was also great. Service was awesome in a great atmosphere.

If you are looking for a classy steakhouse that also serves great crabcakes and cocktails - this is your place! The sides are my favorite, mac and cheese, grit fritters, spinach, it's always so hard to choose. Leave room for milehigh pie, you won't regret it!

I think I've found my new lunch place! Bones provides an excellent setting for business or social dining for lunch. Their already generous menu is augmented by daily lunch specials from the chef and a plethora (love that word) of salad and soup options. Bones is also the undisputed "king" of keto options for lunch and will do everything to accommodate whatever "diet du jour" you're on. There were four of us and the tab with gratuity was less than $100! Additionally, they thrive on the non-menu options. Their excellent valet staff can get me out of the car and back in within 5 minutes on either side and in the rain or cold in Atlanta THAT'S a major item. Will frequent often for lunch, now that I know they do such a fine job.

Exceptional evening. Note: there is a dress code. Greeted for a group of 16 and seated in a side room. Drinks offered and served immediately. They have a back bar that serves seated guests so no waiting for a slot in the main bar. the staff is very friendly and helpful. Explained all dinner options. The wine list is short but well chosen. We hang many bottles of a great cab and amazon. All the proteins were well prepared and at correct temps. The sides are shareable and delicious. It felt like a private event even though the restaurant had every seat filled. Very highly recommended Slainte!!

I haven’t been to Bones in 20 years, the only thing that’s changed is the interior has been updated. I had a bone in filet and my wife had crab cakes! Can’t wait to come back to Atlanta and Bones. Ken the server is the best! Food, service, ambiance is as good as it gets, and best of all it’s not a snooty atmosphere. Comfortable and relaxing. Keep it up Bones!

The secret to this restaurant is the Swiss level methodology of service. Our wonderful server Peirce explained: the management monitors the dining experiences and sets impeccable standards. The primary server must greet the guests within 45 seconds of arrival at their table. And on from there. The extremely cozy ambience of the lower level is a cross between The Palms, a gentleman’s club in London and a touch of hidden speakeasy. The lighting is perfect and the walls are covered with fabric and lamp as well as subtle overhead lighting. There was a party in another room and no noise. The tables are well spaced. Moving onto the food and freely stating there are many great steak houses in Atlanta and the US, the finest thing on the menu is the lobster bisque which has used the same recipe since they opened in 1978. It’s a 3 star Michelin quality dish and all the starters and salads and sides can be ordered in half portions. The bisque is infused with carefully boiled and reduced and reduced and reduced lobster broth with the most infinitesimal touch of cream and a touch of spice. Along with Kyoto and Lucas Carton in Paris and sushi in Brazil, the finest thing I’ve ever tasted. I had a cup which was perfect. Next time I’m having a bowl of this bisque with their hot bread and maybe a dessert. I had filet with lobster tail. Enough for 2 women sharing although we didn’t. The seabreeze baked potato is really what I ate. Beyond loaded with everything! Must have weighed 2-3 pounds. Exquisite. The onion rings are angelic and lighter than air! We had with the main course. The Caeser was perfect and not drowning in dressing. The hash browns where like a torte. There was no question of having dessert. My silver margaritas were wonderful. My friends vodka gimlet was served with additional fresh lime juice on the side. The bearnaise and peppercorn side sauces were good although I’d have like a slightly thicker consistency. The server has a back up team of about 5 other wonderful professionals. Serving staff are interviewed extensively 3 times and once accepted stay for life. The special was a 2.5 pound lobster cracked and stuffed. I’m jumping around because too many sensations! Earned the top steakhouse in America rating. My old college girlfriends from Philly and NJ want to return to Atlanta just for the meal!! And bring their husbands.

Nice place for a fancy dinner, we had nice private dining room for us which was great. Start was not perfect as my aperol spirtz was horrible bit the red wine to come was quite good. For starter i had the tuna and that was excellent evening a rather small portion and the the 2,5 Pound lobster which was cleaned an jummy along some super tasty grilled asparagus and their very good fries. Overall food was excellent, pricewise quite ok for what you get not cheap but great food and service.

This place might be understated and not flashy, but they still make the best steak around. We went to Bones for a birthday celebration. They had a table decorated with confetti and made sure to acknowledge the person being celebrated. Our steaks were perfect. We enjoyed the grits fritters and corn dressing too. We received a free ice cream cake dessert with was a great touch! Service impeccable.

There is a reason this place is still going strong after all these years. It’s OUTSTANDING!!! We sat at the bar and ate and anything I say won’t do it justice. The staff team they have are GOLD STAR and the food is honestly the best I’ve ever had.

we were last night in this restaurant. Elegant atmosphere and good service. Fair wine list. We ordered our 20 Oz steak. They served an apparently perfectly cooked steak but cold as soon as it came out of the fridge. Faced with our complaints, they immediately withdrew the steak and then reserved it for us heated. It was inedible. The owner did not charge us but the dinner was ruined

Our waiter consistently forgot our food and drinks...our reservation was at 8pm and we didnt leave until almost midnight because our appetizers were forgotten, parts of our main course were forgotten, we ordered tea and coffee and that also was forgotten. This is supposed to be a high end restaurant.

Went for dinner on the 5th to celebrate a belated wedding anniversary. It was delicious. We ordered the ribeye for 2 and 4 sides. We did the sides in half orders. We decided on the asparagus, mac and cheese, truffle mashed potatoes and collard greens with bacon. Everything was delicious. Our server presented us with a mile high ice cream cake slice for the end of our meal. They also decorated the table with wedding confetti! My favorite was the Malbec and the warm roll with sweet butter. I will definitely return. John was a great server.

Historic Atlanta’s steakhouse Good service and perfect meal but in contrast with other similar places in order with the price I have some doubts

Fabulous Excellent Service / fabulous food - an old school steakhouse that delivers - they epitomize good service

Absolutely outstanding! This restaurant is fabulous the food and the staff was amazing!! We are looking forward to coming back on our next trip very soon.

Best steakhouse in Atlanta. A classic for several years. Great business atmosphere, although it can get loud. Awesome aged steaks. Not so romantic.

Wonderful Anniversary Celebration ! The table was decorated with wedding themed confetti. The food was wonderful! Great service. Got an ice cream cake for our anniversary. Expensive but worth every penny.

I am visiting Atlanta on a business trip and was recommended to try this place out since the meal will be mostly expensed by my company. I sat alone at the bar and the place is a classic NY style steakhouse. In fact, some gentlemen were sitting next to me and I heard them say "Peter Luger's", of which this restaurant reminded me, and that's a great compliment. The menu had a fantastic selection, although some of the meat entrees appeared to be HUGE - like 22oz huge. The sides are delivered family style, and I had a difficult time deciding what to get since I was alone. Since I live in a small town without a lot of dinner selection, I decided to have something that I've been wanting a long time: the Japanese Wagyu NY Strip. I don't eat a lot at one meal, so I decided to have the 4oz appetizer as my meal, along with a baked potato, fully loaded. I got my meal, and... wow that's the biggest potato I have ever seen in my life. I put half of it on my plate with the steak and it was delicious. The Bones bacon was great on it and it was cooked perfectly. The steak, however, was too salty. I am not weird about salt, and enjoy the right amount. But this was just past being enough and I feel it overpowered the meat. At $69 for 4oz of meat, everything should be spot-on perfect. Overall the steak was good but I wouldn't order it again. Service was impeccable by experienced waiters who make a real living doing this kind of service. I wouldn't change a thing. I wish I'd had enough room for dessert, but wasn't able to eat more so I left it at that. I would come again with other people but I don't see the need to do the solo thing again.

I set this up for our Christmas' Party, but it was quite disappointing because the main course for 2 of us was prepared wrong. My bosses steak and mine were over cooked. Their website is not updated. I asked for a wine that I saw online and the waiter told me they don't keep their website up-to-date. He also forgot to get one of our drinks and I had to remind him. Maybe he was having a hard time because at times he was short with me. Anyways, we expected more of this place. The macaroni and cheese, the corn pudding, and the desserts were really good though. I highly recommend their key lime pie.

We were driving back to Miami from Huntsville Alabama and stopped at Bones for an early dinner because we always love Bones👍🏻 My husband and I shared the crab avocado salad which was absolutely delicious then my husband had a perfectly prepared New York strip, baked sea breeze potato with grilled asparagus and I had their amazing French onion soup and we finished all off with pecan pie and expresso Never disappointed in the service ,food and the hospitality of Bone’s!!

No one other than the waiters was wearing masks, which was a little off putting coming from NYC. But then again, it was my first indoor dining experience since the pandemic began. It was packed on a Friday night but I was able to get a seat at the bar where the wait staff gave 5 star service. It’s an old world steakhouse so it’s good for a smart, low key dinner. The least expensive steak was $49, so I had the trout almondine stuffed with crab meat for $28, which was satisfying. They made a strong martini and gave a big pour of wine, so I was tipsy upon departure.

I was excited to see that Bone's was reopening on the 1st of June, so I went ahead and made a reservation before they were booked up... I was seated at one of the best seats in the house, and the service was on point... Even though I'm not a regular here, they treated me like royalty. I may have slightly overdone it with the amount of food and drinks, but I had plenty leftover for the next day. I ordered the Bone's margarita to start, and it was flavorful and boozy... For starters, the lump crab app, as well as the foie gras, since I had never had it before. The crab was out of this world, and I could've eaten three of those alone. The foie gras was good, and I'm glad I finally took the plunge to try it. For the main event, I went with their 22oz prime dry-aged ribeye (medium rare), the hash browns, corn pudding, and bacon collards. The steak was massive, and cooked perfectly, though it left a bit to be desired from a $70 piece of meat... All of the sides were spectacular, with the hash browns and corn pudding being my favorites. With all of that food, as well as 3 margaritas, I was already in a bit of a "food coma" before the bill arrived. Luckily, I had taken an Uber, as I was feeling pretty good afterwards...

First visit on a Saturday night! Great experience! 15 minutes early for reservation and host told us to have a drink and he would get us. Drinks at bar were put on our reservation and we were seated promptly! Service and food were excellent! We had the ribeye for 2 which was very good. However, not excellent as marbling wasn't great with some external fat! Sides were great but only wish we could have gotten the signature "pie" that we saw which looked unbelievable! OVerall a very good experience. Price for ribeye for 2 with two sides and two cocktails with tip was $200. Which for a high end steakhouse such as this was well worth it! Highly recommend.

Outstanding in every way. The food is excellent, the service is top notch and the decor and vibe are classy and vibrant. You can go wrong by eating at Bones.

My wife and I dined here for our 10th anniversary which was our first visit to Bone's. I had been wanting to come here for 15 years and finally made it. The experience and food did not disappoint. The service was great from when you enter the front door until you leave. The ribeye had an excellent crust and was cooked to perfection. My wife's filet mignon had a rich flavor while the grit fritters were our favorite side. The corn pudding was also very flavorful and excellent. The truffle mashed potatoes were my least favorite. The server brought us an ice cream pie to honor our anniversary which was very tasty but we had only a small bit of space in our stomachs to fit it. Steve, our server, was very accommodating and friendly which made our experience wonderful.

We booked a special dinner at Ruth Chris off of Peachtree Parkway to celebrate and early Thanks Giving which turned out to be a huge disappointment (run down hotel banquet room restaurant) We left and called Bones and explained our situation and they squeezed us in right away on a busy night. AWESOME FOOD AWESOME SERVICE AWESOME AMBIENCE

We were so looking forward to going back to Bones on my birthday trip to Atlanta. Our friends who were with us were equally excited as a someone they knew from Atlanta told them it was a “must”. They acknowledged my birthday and the table was festively decorated, a nice touch. Our waiter, Peirce, was friendly and professional. He gave the impression he had been there quite a while. So when he said a medium steak was prepared with a hot red center, we had no reason to doubt him. Although a hot red center is usually medium rare. We did quiz him on it, but he remained steadfast that medium was a hot red center. Let’s just say Peirce gave us a bum steer, no pun intended. When we told him we liked a hot pink center he said no problem they could do that. Well they couldn’t !! My husband and my steaks were over cooked. Side and starters were good. And the ice cream cake was delicious. I believe they comped that for my birthday. We would not hesitate to return next time we are in Atlanta. I will be sure to to find out how to order a medium steak and what exactly it is. There definitely is something wrong in the translation and description provided to us. Our friends seemed to enjoy their steaks. Our bill was over $500.00 without tip, but with wine. Not terrible but would have been better with our steaks prepared properly. We were last here in October 2019. We had no problem getting our steaks prepared the way we wanted them on that visit.

Pleasant dining experience with very good service above average service, serious good Old Fashioned, nice collection of good wines. Good selection of good food Yes busy and difficult to make a reservation at short notice but we enjoyed the bar very well. It is worth the price and we recommend bones absolutely

So happy they are open again! The always excellent and attentive wait staff was very careful with Covid precautions. This restaurant still consistently serves the best ribeye steak and lobster bisque anywhere. The classy Southern atmosphere with tons of great photographs is as wonderful as ever. My favorite happy place restaurant!

I can’t understand why this is Atlanta’s best steakhouse. The food is very good but rather basic. Absolutely no creativity. We enjoyed ourselves but it’s not a place I would rush back to. Have enjoyed much better steak restaurants all over the country and world.

We went here for a business dinner. The interior is old school. Comfortable seating, and reflects that of an old style steak house. Wasn't sure about the yellow walls, but it does brighten it up a little to make it appear a little bigger. Overall, it was nice. Was it the most elaborate and fancy place I've been to? No. Hence why this place doesn't get 5 stars. Quite frankly there are a lot of reviews on here saying this is the BEST in Atlanta. That's a bold statement, and says a lot about all the other places in Atlanta if that's your best. Sorry, but if you're from out of state, I hate to break it to you, but there are far nicer places for décor than Bones. The wait staff addresses you by your last name. Wait staff is also very informative and professional. They are very nice. Plates get served to everyone at the same time, so the etiquette is spot on. Prices are reasonable. 8oz Filet is $47 and another $12 for bone in which is 14oz. So, these are not out of range by any means. While it is a la carte for food options, the portions are not unreasonably huge. They do allow you to split the salad, so a $6 salad is crazy cheap. As far as prices are concerned, I think this place is spot on. Overall, the food was cooked to perfection. Drinks were fantastic, desert was also great and the service was amazing. Décor, well, there isn't much to write home about it, there is better out there. - The way the hotel talked this place up, you'd think I was eating at the white house. There was a lot of hype about how it's "Bones" and how they enforce the dress code, and it's like eating with the royal family. Not true. I would absolutely return though!

We had a corporate dinner here with our team from Canada. Everyone was extremely happy with the vibe, service, and wide variety of delicious food. From Lobster to vegan to Porterhouse. It’s hard to beat 40+ years of genius!

The best atmosphere in Atlanta. Great food, great service! An abundance of Atlanta culture, all in one place.

A friend and I met for lunch to celebrate our birthdays. Bones is a lovely restaurant and they are celebrating 40 years in business as we were told by Rodney, our waiter. I was impressed by the great service we received and the food. Bones has an old world charm . The dining room is very elegant but cozy. As was the ladies room! I was also impressed that they had decorated our table for the occasion. Although this is a steakhouse I had scallops and my friend had salmon. Both were excellent. We tried the corn pudding and it was superb. We were treated to a slice of their signature multi flavored ice cream ‘ cake’ . Our lunch at Bones was excellent and we will definitely return .

Very unique restaurant. Food was solid, but not quite excellent. Ambience and the private rooms are very cool. A little pricey for the quality.

An old school steak house. The waiters and staff wear jackets, much like at Joe Muse’s in Detroit or in Bloomfield Hills. Started off with some white wine for my friend, I had some juice. I had the bones salad, lobster bisque and the crab cakes for my meal. My friend had the Caesar and a filet mignon. The lobster bisque, salad and crab cakes were all good. My friend also enjoyed her Caesar and her filet, perfectly cooked medium for her.

Three of us went to Bones recently. Very nice steakhouse. The service and the food were great. Order a $160 bottle of wine and cocktails. Shared 2 appetizers and 2 desserts. The bill came out at around $220 per person with tip and tax. It was a good meal, but not as memorable as other steakhouses that we have visited at the same price point. Glad we went, but not sure we need to go back anytime soon.

FANTASTIC! The atmosphere gives a little bit of an old gangster hangout, but the fancy kind. Beautiful inside and cozy. Early evenings during the week are busy, so there is a vibe throughout. My expectations of the wait staff were that they would be stuffy and dry. This is not what we experienced. Our server was fun and helpful. The salads are a great size, the drink selection is enough, good wine selection also. The 12oz NY Strip was enough to satisfy. Very tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection. Now to talk about my weakness...cheesecake. This is the best cheesecake I have ever tasted, even beyond by popular cheesecake location in New York City. The perfect texture cake, the crust was spot on and the flavor melted me in my chair. I didn't think to take a picture until after my first bite, so my apologies. The place is pricey but worth it.

This was supposed to be a special holiday dinner for our family but it turned into an over priced, poorly served, and disappointing dinner. Right from the get go I knew it was going to be rough from the attitude of the waiter and his impatience with of our ordering. When you only have one drink menu (on an iPad) and 5 people wanting to look, there is no reason to hover like a vulture staring the guests down. Drinks then took forever to come out followed by 40 minute intervals between soups, salads, and main courses. It seemed purposeful and our steaks were like warm at best yet overcooked and burned on the outside. The sides we ordered were supposed to feed 5 people but they brought out one overcooked baked potato and a small plate of green beans. I asked the waiter if this was their idea of “family style” and he just looked confused. Another waiter came up and said that they would bring out more but sadly we were almost done with what they called filets. They didn’t bring out any more green beans but two more overcooked potatoes. No one ever came by to check on us but at least the water guy was persistent. About the only positive would be is the French onion soup but that to was served splashed on the serving plates making it somewhat of a mess. I felt like we got served the leftovers from Friday and Saturday night. At $500+ for 5 people I can think of a dozen better places in Atlanta to go for a better meal, service, and evening. Sorry Bones, we won’t be back.

this is one of the best steakhouse dinner I have had in a long time. The service was very good , wine selection great , the enviorment very business type but plesant , the food was exelent , great quality on the steak .The quality of the beef is very good and the way is prepare is perfect. Bar is very nice and you can order food. Try the house salad is very interesting the flavors , don't miss the hashbrowns.... It is pricesy but worth it!!!

They won’t let 14 years old kids in nice shirts and long shirts but they wanted to put them at the bar ?????? Not table at the bar but an actual bar ?! Awful experience.

We absolutely love Bones! Yes is it is a bit pricey, but the service and quality of food is excellent! We usually get the small filet and the ahi tuna appetizer! And no meal is complete without the Bones salad! Whether you sit in the dining room or dine at the bar, the service is aways impeccable!

Was in town for a fun getaway. We wanted to have a romantic “fancy” dinner and chose Bones based on online reviews. Was not disappointed. Wonderful atmosphere. The staff is extremely friendly, always referring to us by name. Menu was wonderful mix of steak and seafood options. Had hard time choosing just because everything sounded good. Wife and I both had steaks. She had filet while I had New York Strip. Both were cooked perfectly and tasted great. Sides are served family style, so have to pick option everyone likes. Complimentary bread was excellent. Can’t think of a single negative. From the valet parking to the dessert, everything was first rate. It’s pricey - something we can only do once a year or so - but it was worth every dollar.

Savage meat feast! Juicy chops and sausages cooked to perfection. A must-try for meat lovers. Pure class and must try :0

Delicious from wine to dessert. I was expecting it to be good and was not disappointed in the least. I began with one of my favorites, French onion soup, that was wonderful. My crab cakes were mouthwatering delicious. I don't think I left a single bite on my plate. All the side dishes were shared by all at the table and I think the mashed potatoes were the favored by all. But I did love the sautéed spinach. My husband and I split a refreshing piece of key lime pie. I was the only person that didn't get steak - but I can tell you everyone enjoyed their steaks thoroughly.

Anniversary dinner at Bones. Great staff, Buckhead scene. Simple menu but good at what they do. Thanks Bones!

Bones doesnt change, 14 years later, it still has the same amazing service and gracious hospitality along with outstanding food. We came too early, the restaurant wasnt even open yet, but the door was immediately opened to us and we were shown in, ushered to a lovely seating area inside, our comfort attended to, and we were even given a plate of gratis fried grit chips. 45 mins later, when the restaurant opened, we were shown to our table and a lovely evening ensued. They really know how to cook a steak just right. Also, they now have the option to order a smaller size instead of just family size or full size for almost everything. Their wine list is amazing. We had a lovely time dining there and if we ever go to Atlanta again, will definitely dine there again.

The good: Apps, sides, and desserts were sublime. I will remember the Crab & Lobster Napoleon, Lobster Bisque, French Onion Soup, Fried Grits, and Mile-High Cake fondly for a long time. Our waiter was attentive, helpful, and funny. The bad: My Kansas City Strip Steak (on special) was frankly mediocre. I love a good crust on my steak, but in this case the very heavy char overwhelmed the steak flavors. Perhaps I should have ordered one of the many preparations or sauces; however, I LOVE steak and I feel like a great piece of meat should stand on its own. The ugly: As we were leaving, another waiter asked where we were from (Seattle), and then asked if I knew what the city is named after. I replied affirmatively, the Duwamish Chief Seattle, of course. He then smirked and asked if that meant we were going to “cancel” the city name then. I was taken aback, as I was not prepared to be confronted with culture wars BS in this restaurant where we had just spent a thousand bucks between four people; I would expect that perhaps from a truck stop cashier. Left an unfortunate bad taste in my mouth.

Sat at the bar as I was solo. Great steak and side. Yummy dessert. Service was wonderful. Bartender even pronounced my name correctly upon leaving.

This is a classic steak house offering a nice setting, superb service, an extensive menu and excellent food. My bone-in-filet was excellent, and so too were the hash browns. The cocktails are strong too.

Everything about it was excellent. The service was fantastic. Every dish was excellent. I had the A4 Wagyu and it was fantastic. My fiancee had the salmon and it was fantastic too. Would definitely go back.

Bombs hold the place in my heart. This is where my wife and I were engaged in 1996. Turn to believe in so long. But the food is delicious

Food was amazing. Enjoyed the Rib eye which was cooked to perfection. Service from our main waiter was a little inattentive, we had to remind him of things ordered that had not been brought. Luckily he had back up help which made all the difference. Atmosphere is a little stuffy and dated. I get how this could be some of the charm for some but wasn’t to our taste. I would give it a 4.5 if TA allowed it as it only lost points for the service and atmosphere.

Great food. Great service A must in Atlanta Great waiter, knowledgeable Location Decor is ok I always try to make it there Been many times

I can’t give them high enough marks for what was the best restaurant I have been to for my birthday and I am 70 years old! Outstanding food and service and the ice cream birthday cake was amazing . Don’t spend your next occasion anywhere else!

Words cannot describe how good Bones is!! My husband and I ate here recently for our anniversary and it was totally amazing. The service is out of this world! The food, excellent. I highly recommend the dry age bone in ribeye. You will not be disappointed!! Everyone needs to go try this wonderful restaurant!! 10 stars!!

Since I was unable to make a reservation for a party of one, the bartender added me to his list, and said he would let me know as soon as a space was open in 20-30 minutes. An hour and a half went by and the bartender never checked on me. Meanwhile, several people were welcomed to the bar who arrived after me. Not a single member of the legendary Bones service providers bothered to check on me either. I complained to the general manager about the deficient service displayed by his staff, who then had me seated right next to the service bar area where the service bartender then proceeded to spend the next 30 minutes slamming the doors on his refrigerator and throwing things around with loud thumps and crashes causing me to have a migraine. I was so rattled by the noise that I requested my check and cancelled my filet order. This was not the "special occasion" experience I was expecting. While it may have been a coincidence, the only other person seated in this noisy area was another minority group member while the straight white customers appeared to be getting very good service and were definitely not being seated next to the service bartender tossing things around so hard the bar was shaking. I will not be returning to this establishment. There are better places in Atlanta that do not discriminate.

The steak is absolutely divine, cooked to perfection a wonderful place with a great atmosphere fro special occasions as well

My wife and I ate here while on a trip to Atlanta. Excellent quality of meat. Cooked to perfection. And server was always around without bothering us. Served Duckhorn wine by the glass which helped because my wife doesn’t drink wine. Will return here when back to Atlanta on business. Highly recommend.

We had dinner here recently when we were in Atlanta. We were staying close by at the Intercontinental and Bones was highly recommended by them. It did not disappoint and my husband said it was the high point of our stay in Atlanta. The food was outstanding and the service was as well. My husband loved his carpaccio and his filet. I had the Bones salad which was excellent although would have preferred a little less salt in my salmon. Everything was so good that I easily overlooked a little salt!

The place is really nice inside. It has the old school steak house feeling. The service is top notch. The shrimp cocktail was very good, as was the wedge salad. The bourbon list was good. The problem was that my steak was brought to the table only slightly warm. And I ordered it Medium, but it had dried out. It tasted like it had been finished for a while before it was brought out. The seasoning was good so it was a weird thing to happen at such a nice place.

We celebrated a birthday and an anniversary at Bones and it was a treat. Great food, wonderful service and a nice "birthday" treat at the end of the meal. Definitely order the hashbrowns.

We stopped in Bone’s to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The food was delicious and the service was 5 Star. The place is nice a cozy. It’s the epitome of a steakhouse. We loved everything about it. I had the lamb Bd my husband ordered the lobster. They also brought him a complimentary chocolate birthday cake.

I had dinner here to celebrate a friend;s birthday. The service was friendly and good. I had crab cakes, which were very good. Everyone else had steaks, which they enjoyed a lot. We shared a number of sides including the hash browns. We selected a couple of wines from the large list and they were both very good. This is an old style steak house that does things well. If you are near Buckhead and enjoy steak houses, this is a good one.

Amazing steak dinner at Bones and the wagyu is definitely worth the splurge! The wine list is extensive and has all price ranges. Save room for the mountain high pie dessert and you will be happy you did. Service was great and overall a very nice experience.

We have good steak houses in Nashville, but I think Bones surpasses them all. First of all it feels like a real steak house. Nothing fancy, just great atmosphere and fabulous food. Delicious chocolate martini was a good start followed by shrimp cocktail to share. We also shared a New York Strip with a lobster tail and corn brulee and mashed potatoes. Everything was so good. The best part was the mile high pie !!!! Ice cream pie, 4 layers high with meringue and chocolate drizzle. Don't miss that for sure !!! Service was professional and knowledgable. I will not go to Atlanta without eating at this amazing restaurant. It is that good !!!

This was a night to honor our son who just graduated with his Masters from UGA. What it turned out to be was a lesson in how a night out with family should be. What I mean by that is, you're not paying for a great steak here, which you will get. You are paying for the ultimate in how to treat each member of your party with respect and gratitude. I hope folks understand my next here, I was allowed to be a gentlemen, my wife was treated with the upmost respect and admiration and our son was treated as he should be, an adult. Believe me, my wife is as independent a person as anyone, so I don't mean to suggest, hierarchy, what I mean is some places make overtures or compensate by concentrating on her solely. What I'm saying is, we were all equally important, communicated with directly and again, allowed to be a father, husband, wife, mother, son and man. That being said, the food was perfect. Knowing how to cook a great steak or potatoes, isn't that difficult. What's difficult is timing. That is, feeling rushed or waiting too long for your dinner can ruin the experience but also the taste. We had the carpaccio as an appetizer, main course and dessert. There was not one item that did not come out exactly as we requested. To cut into our steak was an experience in and of itself, seeing it flawlessly prepared. All sides were perfect temperature and perfect size. Every aspect of the dinner, from a proper way to pour a drink to the exact timing of when the courses were served was absolutely spot on. As the title states, I cannot believe it took me 20 years of living in Atlanta to make it here. We will not let another 20 years go by, I've already made another reservation for another son's milestone event. As we have 5 adult sons, I'm sure we will be heading back more often.

The perfect steakhouse, in my opinion, is one that embraces a classic, old-school ambiance. When I visited this particular steakhouse, I was immediately drawn in by its nostalgic charm. We opted to sit at the bar, where the friendly bartender and the camaraderie among the patrons set a welcoming tone for the evening. One of the highlights was the jumbo shrimp we ordered as an appetizer. True to its name, it was enormous and perfectly prepared. For the main course, we shared a ribeye steak for two. The steak was cooked to perfection, with a rich, flavorful profile that was simply unforgettable. An unexpected delight was the hash brown potatoes served with sour cream, a refreshing change from the usual baked potato. This side dish added a unique touch to our meal and paired wonderfully with the steak. If you’re seeking an authentic steakhouse experience that stays true to traditional roots, this old-school establishment is a must-visit.

What a place, what a food, what a staff! Everything was perfect. If you want to try typical American steaks- this place is perferct. The menu is clear and typical for this kind of places but... the taste of meat- this is sth special. Steaks are prepared exactly in the way you dream about.

We had to evacuate to Atlanta because of hurricane Dorian. I had read that Bones had the best burger in Atlanta. We decided that we would give lunch a try. Well, all the reviews were correct. My burger was cooked to perfection. The onion rings that come with it are outstanding. Everything else about the meal was perfect. Our server, Paul, should be rewarded for the way he makes the customers feel like part of his family. This was not a meal, it was an experience. We will definitely return.

Simply never amiss. If you want a quality meal with excellent service and freshness, this is the place. Tell them if a special occasion; they make is special in a classy way.

It seems unnecessary to review Bones - the restaurant's reputation is impeccable. It is my husband's very favorite, so I try to take him to Atlanta to eat there every once in a while...we celebrated his birthday there Saturday, September 19, and the food and service did not disappoint, even amidst covid precautions. Drinks and snacks at the bar were prefect. They made him feel even more special than usual, had the table decorated, and brought an amazing complementary ice cream cake with a candle. I finally tried the famous Bones salad, which was wonderful, and his steak, my scallops, and the wine parings were fantastic. Bones helped me give him a very happy birthday!

When my friends wanted to go to an up-scale steak restaurant I took them to Bones. Not only are the steaks superb but the sides are excellent as well. It is pricey, but if you want the best, there is a cost. I had the filet and others in the party had various other cuts of beef. All were impressed by the quality of the food, the excellence of the service and the overall experience.

Bones, known for top rated steaks, provided an unforgettable dining experience for us tonight! We came as first-timers on the recommendation of former Atlanta residents and it was fabulous! I casually mentioned that we were out celebrating my husband’s birthday and we were immediately seated at a table decorated festively with birthday confetti and greeted by Joe, our waiter, by name. After sharing several fantastic items from the menu (onion rings, Bones salad, an incredible ribeye, and corn pudding, my husband was presented with an impressive frozen birthday dessert of many decadent layers - no calories, of course! We were even given a parting treat of mints and shortbread, making us feel absolutely spoiled! What an experience of the highest caliber! Thank you, Joe, and all of the Bones staff! We certainly hope to return!

The atmosphere completed the food n vice versa. Had a really nice time here thanks to the staff and the amazong food! Great choice for a weekend dinner or date!

Prices reflect tradition more than anything special. Choices other than steak are OK. Nothing that would make me go back

It's been a long time since I dined at Bones, but it's exactly as I remember 5 star food and service ! Hope we can return soon.

I'm not given to hyperbole, bit if I could chose where to have my last meal, it would be at Bones! I traveled frequently to Atlanta for business from 2000 - 2006, and would dine at with my client at least once or twice a month. My daughter and son-in-law recently move to Atlanta and my wife and I come to town to celebrate their birthdays. Bones was the obvious choice for a special dinner. Our server was Mark, who has worked there for 32 years and we had fun remembering previous visits. His attentiveness was as excellent as it has always been. From the valet parking, to the bar tenders, to the maitre d', to the waitpersons and bus boys, we were treated to the highest level of service and kindness. The wine list is extensive and impressive. The steaks (filets, bone-in ribeye and NY strips) are juicy, flavorful, and cooked properly to your specifications. Order sides for the table to share, and save room for dessert. My son-in-law who had never been to Bones, but had heard the rest of us talk about it for years, said it exceeded his expectations, which were already pretty high. Bones is not inexpensive, but the experience is worth every penny.

We have been going to Bones for 30+ years. Usually, small family groups, but also, occasionally for business. They treat you like an old friend - very polite and they really make each visit memorable. Of course their steaks are world class, but also their lobster, salads, onion rings, asparagus, lobster bisque, and of course their wine selection matches their food!

I turned 60 on Friday November 13th. My party was four...Due to covid, my plans to have a huge blowout party was crushed. We went to Bone's instead, and man what a place, the food, atmosphere, service, etc was just on another level. I cannot wait to go back...Simply amazing on every, every level....

Wonderful old school steakhouse with some great surprises on the menu. Great for a celebration. Would highly recommend.

Great staff. The waiter was a great help and talked us through the menu. Really classic interior. For starter the French onion soup was something else - masses of melted cheese! For mains the fillet steak and the strip loin were amazing - really well cooked and loads of meat. We really enjoyed our meal. Valet parking.

Very much an old style bar as you enter; feels congenial. The staff are polite if on occasions over chatty, but that’s more American than European. The food was delicious, we ordered grilled octopus. The portions are generous so we shared the starter. The steaks were cooked as requested. The only factor that gave us reservations was that the wine, an Amerone, was quite cold. The explanation being that was how the storage was. In our opinion, that was unsatisfactory, but it warmed gradually so not a problem. The deserts looked scrummy but we had no room.

Good food, local to the hotel we were at. Very noisy and a challenge for us to talk plainly to each other in our group. Most tables are close to each other. Food and service was good. Sadly, only 1 lite beer to choose from. Save room for desserts, sampled them all… best part.

Bones is for certain one of a kind, the service was outstanding. The bar/wine selection was superb and the menu selection was wonderful. Valet parking is a treat in itself. I’d recommend the salmon, it was delicious, my husband said his filet was tender enough to cut with a fork. Sides are served family style. Go and enjoy as much as we did.

I have lived in Atlanta since 1949 and have been at one time or another to every good restaurant in greater Atlanta. I even remember going to Mammy Shanty that was located right where I-75 and I-85 meet at Peachtree St. Moreover, I have been to Bones many times and it has always been a top notch restaurant with great service and excellent food. Can it sometimes be overwhelmed and suffer from too much business…. probably so. Withstanding such rare times, Bones is by far one of the very best restaurants in Atlanta and there are very few that can measure up to Bones.

Bones is, in my admittedly limited experience of Atlanta steakhouses, the best, hands down. Been to Chops which may be more of a black and blue steak type place. A medium rare steak there is nicely charred on the outside and closer to rare in the middle, in my opinion. Got the dry aged ribeye at Bones, and it had the char and a reddish-pink on the inside, perfectly medium rare in my book. The garlic butter drizzled over the top took nothing away from the beefy, beefiness of the steak. The sides including the corn pudding and fried grit fritters are wonderful, too. Service at Bones has always been outstanding, and Lane took care of us this last time. He’s been there for going on 30 years, if I recall correctly, and that’s apparently true for a lot of staff there. They also add nice touches to the table with glittery things, depending on the occasion, whether a birthday or retirement party. Definitely a place for special occasions. Hopefully they and all the other restaurants will find a way to make it in the COVID lockdown era.

The ambience is modern clubby and very comfortable. Service is superb; fresh quality bread, room temperature butter and water were served immediately; Martini came shortly thereafter. My first course was a foie gras that was dazzling. It dissolves immediatly with a soft liver flavor inhanced by sweet fruit flavors. I was wowed! My main course was a prime aged strip steak. It was of course good. I order a side of pepper sauce which was not very good; apparently they want to stand apart from the usual Escoffier pepper steak sauce. The sides were grilled asparigus and "hash browns," The casserol cooked grated potatoes are perhaps the best I have ever eaten; the grilled aspaagus was cook on a grlii that was to hot as there were charcoal markings that made it inedible even with hollandaise sauce. For dessert I ordered a Port and was handed the dessert menu. On it there were no ripe cheeses. I complained to the waiter and he quickly served me a Stilton! I have almost fifty years of experience in food and beverage and I must say the owners Bill and Susan do a great job, not perfect but very very good.

No question the best steakhouse in Atlanta. We visited a couple weeks ago, but have been several times over the past few years and everything is always top notch - food, service, ambiance. Highly recommend.

Nice restaurant which I visited for lunch. Sat at the bar and service was very good. Menu was ok for lunch. I had the steak sandwich which was good not great and the mac & cheese as a side. The side was ok not much flavor. The sandwich had American cheese and there was so much more that could been done to make it a great open faced sandwich. I was a bit disappointed with the restaurant since it was so highly rated I was expecting more.

What a steakhouse should be. Dark wood, great wine list, and perfectly cooked steaks and sides! Get the onion rings awesome. The filets were cooked perfectly service was attentive. I would recommend and definitely return here!

The food and Ambiance was quite nice, but it's definitely an expense account restaurant. The pricing would most probably not attract young couples on a budget

Our first time at Bones. This was one of THE best dinners I’ve had in years! Service, impeccable. Food, divine. Husband started with the French Onion Soup which was delicious. I had the Foie Gras with Fig, it was silky and excellent. The most foie gras I’ve ever had in an order, every bite was heaven and it definitely satiated my craving for this specialty. Next course was the dry aged Ribeye, MR, for him, I had the Wagyu A5 (4 oz) and we shared the hash browns. Ribeye was perfectly cooked, flavorful without being too fatty, and just meaty deliciousness. The hash browns were terrific, perfectly crispy around the edges. This was the first time I had eaten Wagyu and OMGosh! Everything you’ve ever read about how incredible this beef is, it’s absolutely true. So tender, so buttery, sooooo rich. Just wow. We finished with a sorbet which was light and a great way to end dinner. Next time we’re in Atlanta, we’ll definitely eat there again. My mouth is watering just thinking about it…

For me, Bones is not as good as several alternatives in town. Hal's, Chops and Rathbun's are all definitely better. I even like the chain Capital Grille better to be honest.

Intimate dining with friendly, well trained staff. The food was delicious and served promptly and at the appropriate intervals. A thoroughly enjoyable evening to celebrate my birthday.

We had a celebratory dinner and Bones was the right choice! We started with cocktails that were skillfully prepared and added the Fourier Gras and it was perfect. We went to steaks that were prepared exactly as we like them. Added a side of mushrooms and they were a great compliment to the meal. Dessert was complimentary from Bones in recognition of our celebration. Thank you Bones staff! Can’t wait to celebrate something else and to do it here!

Do not go here unless you like a burnt char on your steak that makes it taste really overcooked. My husband loves a char but it ruined everything for me. The waiters never came back after they laid the burnt steak down to check on us. Also, my daughter’s salmon was very overcooked. Better restaurants in Atl for sure. Don’t waste your time here.

Excellent food, atmosphere and service. The crab and avocado salad was delicious; it came with jumbo lump crab meat in huge chunks - a rare find in most restaurants. The filet mignon was tender, cooked to perfection, and had great flavor. The sides were generously portioned and tasty - especially the asparagus and the truffled mashed potato. The stuffed trout was also excellently prepared and tasty. The wait staff were very pleasant, friendly and attentive. The chef went out of his way to accommodate my daughter's severe food allergies, including making a special baked potato without the egg wash that all of the other potatoes had already been prepped with; he did so in time for her entree. It is rather pricey, but we thought well worth the treat. We would highly recommend and would definitely go back if in the area.

Great meal and great service. The lamb chops were great and my wife’s steak was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was great and the bones salad and their speciality dessert was awesome.

An old Atlanta staple. Always good, nice atmosphere..the food is good, but I find it a bit stuffy and quite expensive

Excellent steaks. All of the food was very good. We would suggest they provide a wine list when you are seated. Everyone near us had to ask for one. We had to ask as well. The hash browns are very thick so the center wasn’t cooked as well as they should have been, but the outer part was crispy and very good.Service and atmosphere were precisely what you wold expect at a fine dining restaurant. We had the onion rings, Bones salad, onion soup, corn pudding, hash browns and split the larger of the two New York Strips. Unfortunately, we had no room left for dessert. The portions looked very large for those around us who did order. We would definitely return and understand why it gets rave reviews.

The entire order was excellent in terms of service and food quality. The wine list was conservatively priced, nice to see that. The steaks are the “go to” items!

Large table, but Paul took excellent care of us. He was very attentive and knowledgeable. Some of the steaks weren’t cooked exactly as ordered but all in all a good experience.

We had a party of 4 celebrating a birthday. Excellent service, attentive servers, superb food , excellent chefs. Sets high standard for other steak fine dining. The lobster bisque is to die for. I am the crazy one that cant eat steak red, or even pink. I was hesitant to order my New York strip well done, but I did, and it was cooked perfectly to my liking, and tender as well. Only "negative' comment is, the mac and cheese was dry in my opinion, I prefer mine moist and creamy. Will be repeat customers!

First class place. Food and service was over the top! Kevin, Robert and Thos were fantastic! Finest cuts of meat. Great atmosphere. Highly recommend.

I came to this place during the first week of September and I love it especially their cheese cake. I would recommend ya'll give this place a try.

This time we actually ended up going on our actual anniversary and it was still great. Our appetites changed because we still had the ribeye for 2 but could not completely finish 3 sides. The service was awesome as usual. Paul was our wonderful server and did a phenomenal job. Thank you Bones for another wonderful experience.

As a long time loyal Bones fan, we are going to put them at the very bottom of our go to list. Sat at the bar as usual. Charles was our waiter. Answered two questions with his back to us. Was not the least bit attentive to us in our two hours there. Food was mediocre and not hot. $400.00 after tip was extremely disappointing It has always been our favorite place. We always feel special when we visit for special nights. This visit, they didn’t seem to care if we were there or not. We felt like it was just a transaction.

Delicious, not expensive, great service, and food. The atmosphere is terrific, and they honor reservations

We ate at Bones while on a business trip. A party of 5. The service was simply terriple. Order placed at 8:15; finally got food at 9:50, after prompting the waiter TWICE. After the wait, the steaks were ok (actually we had better ones at Rays in the City) - Can't give a glowing rec

I’m fortunate to eat at Bones twice a year for special occasions. It is my all time favorite high end steak house! Every cut they offer is delicious. I love the filet cooked medium with a Pittsburg char on the outside. All the sides are extraordinary but one that you must try is the hash brown potatoes! Bones is my very favorite restaurant in Atlanta. Arrive a little early so you can enjoy their wonderful wood paneled bar with expertly hand crafted cocktails before dinner. Don’t turn down the warm cheese wafers offered in the bar!

We sat at the bar. Kevin and Morgan were our waiters. They were very attentive in accommodating us. The food was all the way to the top. We started with a Bedrock Syrah wine and cheese crackers. For entree we had lollipop lamb shops, asparagus, special salad that Kevin recommended, and bread. We sat at the bar and we had a great time!! Definitely we will go back in our next visit to Buckhead!!

Okay so I was in Atlanta (still am thanks to the British Airways pilot strike) and decided to get steak... here begins the tale yea the Iliad of Wise. Bones Restaurant in Atlanta is a Mecca of meat... if you are here and skip it... that’s on you... you screwed up... own your failure (had a few drinks sorry) They do a non-muddled old fashion... simple with Makers Mark but dear lord god sweet baby Jesus it’s good. Okay now your like... hey maybe a carb would make some sense... they bring you a fracking loaf of sourdough bread that would be at home in San Francisco. Honestly... it’s lovely... eat it already. They only accept booking for 2+ so I lied and booked a table... all the portions start at 2... empty yourself in advance. Next you need wine... trust me staying on the old fashions will make you seem like a meth addicted hobo... switch to wine and be a fracking adult for once in your life. The “Black Tears” is a misnomer... it’s a story of happiness and hope... dare I say about the struggle of man/woman against the cruel tide of mortality. Now you are thinking “crap I’m at a steak restaurant and I’ve only had libations and a fracking slice of break!” Order the steak... don’t be one of those people who have the salad... idiots... order a steak I honestly don’t care what one... why... what temperature... hell pull a trump and order it well done with ketchup with it just get the beef you fool!! Now... you just solo drank a bottle of red Jesus juice with Michael to support and cuddle you (shudder) and the old fashion has kicked in and you wonder... call and Uber? Shut the Frack Up!! He the Pecan Pie and order a Hibiki Old Fashion ... yes a Japanese whiskey in a traditional bourbon drink but trust me it will change your life... brink you luck... many children... three goats... and two new shoes... again just do what I say... asking questions is how we ended up here to start with. Pay the tab and ask Mario to help you to the Uber... sleep sweet prince sleep.

Excellent food and impeccable service and attention to detail. The steaks are I think the best in Atlanta but more importantly is the comfortable atmosphere and lack of pretension.

Mediocre overpriced. So many better prime steak experiences in Atlanta like Chops or the Palm. One owner known for racist actions.

They really know how to cook a steak just right, The steak was a solid 8-9, Excellent food and stellar service.

The service is the best and the steaks melt in your mouth! The last we went we sat in small room next to dining room- we enjoyed that as it was more private. The vegetables are delicious too!

On the exterior, this establishment doe snot cause any wow factors. The inside decoration is much to the same standard, while having an old but classy look and feel. The cocktails were above average and the wine list was fairly extensive. The starters were intriguing and the Octopus was very tasty. The steaks were a nice quality and had a good flavor and seasoned lightly, but well. However, both myself and my colleague felt the temperature requested was slightly off. The dessert menu was a bit underwhelming and the two pies we tried were fairly average. Over all I would say a top notch steak house with a nice traditional feel.

Food at Bones is good but can still be surpassed by other steakhouses in Atlanta considering its pricey. As for the lobster, it wasn't what I expected. The chef could do more with the recipe.

My husband and I were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and we had the best time. Service was amazing from star to first. Our server was awesome, the host was awesome even the bar tender did his thing. They had the table decorated for us and we just had a wonderful time.

Second visit in last two years; love the old fashioned steakhouse decor, with impeccable' attentive service. Both time had the petite fillet and wedge salad. Baked potato was the size of a small melon! Must have the onion rings! Downside was that I made reservation a month ago, but they cancelled it. Good thing I called at noon to confirm. Had to wait 30 minutes anyway , another couple 45. Observed bartender advise young couple that seating at the bar was by waiting list, but he didn't offer to put them on the list! He served there drinks in the bar area, but didn't offer me a drink. Must have been from another part of the country. Will go again!

This place has great atmosphere! Very elegant place for our business discussion. Food was outstanding.

Bones is always above and beyond. The service is impeccable. The environment is relaxed and the food is fantastic. I had the bone in ribeye medium rare with a baked potato loaded onion rings and grit fritters for the table everything was incredible. I personally think this is the best steakhouse in Atlanta, but I will say this Steamhouse Lounge has better lobster bisque. It’s not that Bones lobster bisque is bad. Steamhouse Lounge is just fantastic with a huge portion of lobster a little more acidic little more punch.

The Bone In Ribeye And Corn Pudding Is Incredible. Service Is Friendly And Outstanding. Great Atmosephere This Is One Of The Countries Very Best It Would Be Hard To Ever Be Better.

Good and service were impeccable! Steaks were amazing - just a hint of seasoning. Crab based appetizers delicious. Great wine list. Highly recommend.

In town for one night and this steakhouse was a 10 min walk from our hotel and praised on Tripadvisor. Wow! One of the best I’ve been in the US. Great steaks and the hash brown simply divine! Great service. Will be back.

I see why this is rated so high... Skip the franchise steak houses... Trust me... Classy atmosphere, high quality well prepared food - impeccable service.

The wait staff was terrible. Took the check right from underneath my hands and we weren’t there that long. He should have returned to thank me for my 25% tip on the taxed amount. YOU ARE WELCOME. I guess I would be cranky too if Young couples were coming in to eat and I was post retirement age waiting on tables.

This restaurant is one of the most well respected and established in Atlanta. Formal dining and well educated staff. The food is consistently on a high level and the ambience (although not my style) very well perceived. The dinner we recently had there was a nice experience and we have experienced what we expected. One thing that always amazes me there, is how quick the servers speak and the speed of them following the steps of service. In less than a minute after we sat, water and bread were served!!! This is nice, but sometimes it gives me the vibe that they just go through a check list fast and tick all points.

Thank goodness somethings never change and Bones is one of them. First class service and food. Menu never changes and I hope it never does in my lifetime. You believe you could eat a gallon of lobster bisque but settle for a cup and get ready to eat one of the best steaks you ever had. Nothing you ask for will receive a no reply.

Drove over 45 miles with my wife and toddler son, only to be informed by the valet that kids or toddlers below a certain age were not allowed. What an embarrassment and shame.

Everything was perfect even starting with the valet parking. Arrived about 40 minutes early and after we parked we walked in and sat at the lounge and had a drink while we waited for our 7 o’clock reservation. The service from front to back was perfect from the waiter at the bar , the maître d’, and our three servers were excellent , Jeffrey, Hussein, and Ryan. This was our first visit to bones and we definitely plan on coming back. It seems like you are in your own private restaurant . I started with lobster bisque which was the best I’ve ever had. Then we both decided to order the bone in ribeye the one that wasn’t dry aged I may try that one next time. Ordered medium and came out perfect and for sides we had the great fritters and truffle butter potatoes which were both really really good! For dessert we had the mile high pie they will probably let you know when you order it but it is definitely enough to share so are the sides. Really looking forward to going back I’ve been to a lot of great steak houses and I have to say this one is the best!

its service, its food, its atmosphere and everything else is a great experience that I received from this sold place

Great food. Great service A must in Atlanta Great waiter Location Decor I always try to make it there Deserts are fresh

We absolutely love Bones! The food was outstanding the service was beyond amazing. We had 3 Servers. Benjamin was so friendly, professional, excellent customer service. He took his time explaining the meal to us. We were so comfortable with him. We had a private room. The table was set up really nice. Ryan and Jesus were awesome frequently came to check if we needed anything. Everyone was so friendly!! I Will definitely come again. I give it a 100!!!

Timeless Ambiance, impeccable service! Whether you're a steak aficionado, a lover of fine wines, or someone looking to indulge in a special night out, this establishment delivers an unforgettable experience. A visit to Bones Restaurant is not just a meal, it's an extraordinary culinary journey that leaves a lasting impression. It's no wonder that it has earned its place as a top dining destination in Atlanta.

Used to be one if my favs-long time customer but things have changed. Service was average, had to send back steak which was ordered med-rate and was presented almost raw. Both the kitchen and waiter should have noticed. Dress code has deteriorated- men with jeans and t-shirts-looks like they just came from softball practice. No longer the special place I was accustomed to.

As always, know what you are want. This is a clubby steakhouse. Everything is very good quality. Full disclosure, I don't eat meat, so I get fish and veggies, but I have been here probably 10 times, and my food is always great and the meat eaters seem happy. This place is not hip in any way, but if you are looking for a warm, traditional atmosphere, good food, and don't mind a sizable tab, it is a good choice. Your client or dad will love it!

Well I have traveled all over the USA for the last 30 years and have been to many steak restaurants some very good some not so good but I have never walked out of a restaurant in all those years, any restaurant for that matter but tonight I did. I have never written a review on trip adviser before good or bad but felt so strongly about our experience tonight that I needed to place a review. Business friend of mine took myself and a colleague to Bones Steak house as a special treat we had been told it was the number one steak restaurant in Atlanta. Arrived at 7.15 table booked for 7.30 waited in the bar until 7.45 for our table so far not a disaster. Got seated and was then left for 15 minuets before a server came and gave us a menu. Then waited another 15 minutes before he took our drinks order. Then another 15 minutes before he took our food order. We are now 8.30 starter turned up at 8.55. Starters were Ok nothing special. Once finished which took 5 minutes as we were all very hungry we waited for our main course. Having spoken to our waiter about the amount of time it took to get our starter he assured us that he would make everything perfect. Main course turned up at 9.40 NY strip was cold Mixed grill was cold Lamb chops were raw Asparagus was cold Mushrooms were cold We showed the waiter who by this time was clearly very embarrassed he took the food away and again said he would make it perfect we didn’t see him again. New waiter comes up treads on my foot as he reached across the table with the after eight mints he said nothing about replacing the food that had been taken away. We asked for our coats and left no attempt by any manager to apologise. So by this time it 10 oclock with no chance of getting any food anywhere! Will be interested to see a reply!

Bones delivers once again with impeccable service and outstanding food.! We had a party of 14 in a private room for our coed Book Club. The waiter { I regret I don’t remember his name) could not have been more attentive. He handled the crowd with aplomb and adeptly got all the orders right. The group had such a great time interacting and discussing the book. It was a relaxed atmosphere and we were encouraged to stay as long as we wanted. We all had a variety of menu items…lobster, various cuts of steak, chicken, etc…all were perfection. I have to highly recommend the salmon appetizer and the Caesar salad. You cannot go wrong at Bones and can count on some old fashioned class and decorum . Getting harder to find these days which makes me appreciate them even more.

Went here for my son’s birthday. We agreed it was the best meal we ever had. The service was outstanding and the food is beyond words. We ordered dry aged rib eye steaks, lobster tails, a petite fillet and a side of Mac and cheese and asparagus. Everything was perfectly cooked and just delicious. Everything was perfect. I was expecting a high bill and was shocked how high it was but it was worth every penny. High recommended for any reason.

I’ve had more than my share of good steaks around the US, Canada and the RoW, but I really can’t recall one finer than this. Cooked to perfection au poi re and an outstanding truffle mash accompaniment. It’s expensive but definitely worth it.

Excellent food and service. A bit pricey but you don't mind if it is good and it was. Wife had the red snapper and I got the porterhouse both were👍

My wife and I dined at Bones. The ambiance is good and the service very good. The menu selection is adequate and the food quality is good. The food was good but not excellent and the whole experience was underwhelming.

The service here is top notch and very welcoming, but in my opinion, the food could be a bit better. My salad was only okay, as was the mac and cheese with bacon side I ordered. My wife said her lobster was a bit bland and the mashed potatoes she had were the same. My bone-in ribeye was seasoned perfectly and the bread was fantastic. So while I cannot give Bones five stars, it is a place I'd consider visiting again. Though to be honest, when you're spending this type of money to have dinner, you'd like for all of the food to wow you.

I arrived in town later in the evening after a long drive. I was famished. I managed to get a table here without a reservation even though it was busy. I only had a short wait to be seated. I ordered the filet mignon, cooked medium rare, and had a salad with it and an order of rice. The steak was juicy and succulent. I sipped on a mixed drink of bourbon and water. My appetite was sated. Very good service.

Excellent steak with top notch service; water was constantly filled, dessert dishes and utensils were cold to match our cold desserts

Fabulous food, Fabulous service and for a Tuesday still crowded. My dining guest isn't a huge eater so we did an appetizer, soup, salad, steak, 2 sides and dessert and split it and they literally split everything on two plates and didn't blink an eye and the presentation on each plate was still perfect. Above and beyond.

We love the bones experience as the staff is top notch and the food and drinks are great. Everything from beginning to end is served and cooked perfectly. Loved the rib eye, filet hash browns asparagus and all deserts. It’s on our must stop list every time we visit Atlanta.

We have been to many of the countries great steakhouses and Bones certainly ranks with the best of them. The food, service and wine choices all were excellent and the price was reasonable for a meal of this quality. We will be back during our next visit to Atlanta.

My group had dinner at this restaurant last night (3/18). This was my first time at Bones. While the food was good, the waiter was extremely rude and condescending and I don't believe this is acceptable for this type of high end establishment. The experience was bad enough that I decided I will not be coming back to this restaurant.

Extremely good ambiance and very good service. The Prime rib was one of the best I've had in a very long time. Pleasant valet service.

My husband and I went here for my birthday dinner. The atmosphere is awesome! We sat downstairs. Lots of rich colors, like deep reds. The waiters are dressed in nice coats. It is obvious the waiters that work here take their career serious. Great service. We had French onion soup, fillets, and broccoli with garlic. Everything was good, the steak was kind of plain though. Since it was my birthday they brought us a 4 layer ice cream cake. It was delicious but we probably ate one layer.

Took my wife and another couple to Bones last week and we had such a good time. We always start with the onion rings and the special Bones sauce and were pretty full when our steaks arrived, but even though we overate, the steaks and sides were so good. Socially distanced tables , a great waiter and perfect bottle of wine couldn’t have been better.

We enjoyed a birthday dinner at this fine establishment. The staff was wonderful, and the food was top notch! As a bonus, we received a complementary piece of delicious ice cream Birthday Cake. Valet parking is the only option, so please remember to bring some tip cash.
Beautiful evening
This restaurant has a nice ambience and look. We waited a few minutes to he seated even though we had a reservation. Service was good and we were repeatedly referred to by our name which was a nice touch. Food was perfectly cooked. I had the bones salad and the veal chop with wild mushrooms. It was all splendid. The hot bread was wonderful as well as the chocolate mint they place on the table after the meal. Definitely recommend but be aware that it is very pricey.
