Excellent Tapas Restaurant. We recently went to Boqueria and sat at the bar. Bar service was outstanding. Our server was attentive and menu knowledgeable. We each had a glass of Tempranillo wine and shared tapas plates. The wine was very good, as were the tapas. The house manager mingled through the bar and dining areas ensuring customers were satisfied. We will definitely be back.

We held a terrific happy hour with clients. The appetizers were delicious, especially the meatballs. John was a magnificent server, attending to all our needs quietly and efficiently.

Don't bother with this restaurant unless you are under 25 years old, pretty and brown - they don't want to serve you. I (older) went in by myself to make a small dinner of tapas like I do in Spain, San Francisco and New York. I seated myself at the bar fully intending to order enough tapas to make dinner. I was seated for quite a while when a couple of young pretty African American women politely asked if the seats next to me were taken. Immediately upon sitting down, they were waited on by the bartender. They ordered drinks, asked for recommendations, received their drinks and water without a single sentence asking if I would like to order. I finally had to wave my hand to get his attention. I ordered the happy hour Tempranillo (very low end). I was never asked if I wanted to order anything else. As the wine was not to my standard (I would have purchased a much nicer Rioja if given any service) and the smell coming from the kitchen was NOT pleasant, I decided to go elsewhere to eat. This restaurant may have trouble staying afloat once the newness wears off. If you are older than 25, you might want to wait to see if they can get their act together.

Great experience! Great service! Delish food, when you have so many choices in where to spend your time and money it’s important that you feel like you matter and here you do.

I eagerly awaited Boqueria’s opening since I live a few blocks away and can walk there. I’ve been now several times and have been able to get a feel for the place. First of all, the service has been consistently attentive and personable, which is most impt bc without good service nothing is worth it. The place is beautiful no matter which section I’ve been seated in. From time to time it can be loud, but never too much — it’s more because people are enjoying themselves, which is right for a tapas bar. I’ve tried many of the dishes now and it’s all been delicious. Oh … and the price point is reasonable, which is appreciated. I always leave in a good mood bc I had good wine and good food and a good time. I recommend it.
Great experience
Came here for a meal with work colleagues. There was a lot of us so we had a private room at the back. We were on individual tables of 6 and had a set Tapas menu. The service was really good, and all the food we were given was also really good. Was helped by having individual menus on the table so we knew what was coming, and when the server brought the food out they also told us what it was. The highlights for me were: Mac and cheese. Not crazy cheesy like normal (which was good!) but had a great taste and loads of breadcrumbs. Fried Brussel sprouts (surprisingly) which were cooked perfectly and in a really nice coating/sauce. Meatballs were amazing. Soft and juicy with a lovely taste. There was some confusion about the dessert as the menu said Churros with choice of sauce, but they came out with 1 sauce (and no choice). Also seemed really difficult to get the sorbet (took forever to come out like they didn't want to give it to us!) The whole meal took 3 hours and there were long gaps between each of the plates arriving. Not sure if it was because of our large group, or the restaurant was busy, or if this is just normal (as I am not used to eating in Tapas restaurants) However we all enjoyed the food and overall had a great meal.
