Went for view and drinks. Cool modern vibe BUT EXPENSIVE! Got one of their spicy cocktails and replaced tequila with vodka $18 Even the tap beer was more than normal.

The rooftop bar is on top of the Indigo Hotel San Diego. It is fairly small but very well furnished for a quiet drink or two looking over the rooftops. There is a fireplacefor cooler nights. And a very good bar with a very good range of drinks

What great views you get from this bar. It is part of a hotel I think but anyone can access the rooftop terrace. Thee are gas burners and fire pits so it can be quite cozy if you get a good seat. Drinks are on the expensive side but what can you expect.

Glass fire pits, roof top, great sunsets, nice bartenders...go but don't tell just anybody...it's my secret spot.

Friendly staff, comfortable seating, sunset colours, great views over East Village. A great little bar to hang out and relax

This is a great bar/lounge area that is outside and provides great views of San Diego. They have lots of cool looking heaters so you can keep warm during the evening chill. There is plenty of seating both near the bar and further away--so you can be as secluded as you'd like. It was just extremely lovely--a great benefit to staying at Hotel Indigo.

Great place to have a drink and appetizers. Comfortable seating, by the fire too. Nice way to meet new people too. Pet friendly as well.

A great spot for a drink pre-baseball! Its a nice view of the stadium which you can just see, and its a good spot to relax on the comfortable couches, high tables, or sit around on the sofas in the sun. Great evening spot for a cocktail with loved ones or friends as the sun goes down. Open to all!

Comfortable and cozy open roof top lounge with friendly bartenders and great views of Petco Stadium and the surrounding area. Snuggly warm due to the beautiful gas fireplaces. Nice place to have a drink and relax.

This rooftop bar is a hidden gem! If staying at the Indigo you must hit this bar. The staff were friendly & attentive.

Amongst the excitement of a baseball game going on, the outside bar and lounge on the 9th floor was very busy. Despite the busyness, it was a fun environment and we enjoyed the drinks. We ordered garlic fries and they were great!

This place has a beautiful view of San Diego. The place plays top 40 music with flaming tables to keep you warm. The food was decent and drinks very good. Wish I could stay another day.

This is a great place for a city view; they had the fire-pits going and it was very comfy. Again, the view was spectacular in the evening. Would definitely return...

Nice décor, cozy seating around the fire pit and good view of the game at Petco Park. The drinks were a little pricey.

We spent Father's Day weekend in San Diego and stayed at the Hotel Indigo. The hotel is great and super pet friendly. We even took our Golden Retriever to the Level 9 rooftop bar. The bartenders were great, very attentive and made great drinks. The crowd was fun as the Padres were playing at home and a lot of the Washington Nationals fans that were in town for the weekend series were staying at the hotel. We had fun pre-gaming with the crowd before the games started. The rooftop has a great view of Petco and you can actually see into the stadium from the bar. Highly recommend Level 9 if you are in the Gaslamp in San Diego

Great value and great location. Save money and stay a 10 minute walk from the conference center. Rooms are well maintained and clean. This place is cheaper, has more character and is in a better location (if you don't mind a short walk) than the big hotels near the conference center. The breakfast is excellent and served in a very sunny area. This is my third visit here.

Sister spot to Table 9 located in the Hotel Indigo on the 9th floor. Great food, drinks, comfortable seating with heat lamps and fire pits, tables and chairs for traditional setting or eating, and a covered area with fireplace and TV.

Overlooks Petco Park. Closes at 10pm due to noise ordinance. Artificial grass for doggies right next to the bar. Nowhere closer to have a drink while Fido does his business

Between the view and the fire pits this is a must visit. Great place to have a beer or glass of wine and unwind.

Lovely bar within beautiful San Diego! The views are great and quality/range of drinks are what you would expect with such as place. The fire pits are very cool! There is also a small indoor section with sliding door if it every rained ;-)

If you are staying at the Indigo this is the place to go at night. $5 cocktails most of the week plus great views and atmosphere.

I would highly recommend this tucked away little gem. Cocktails were expertly made, the view is tremendous and it's got a little area for your dog to do it's business.

This roof bar is on the 9th floor not the roof but it is fun, comfortable with gas fire features. Full bar, margaritas recommended, and a good place to meet before going out into the Gaslight Quarter for dinner.

We loved coming here before or after dinner to have some drinks, and relax. The views were great and so were the fire pits, especially on chilly nights.

Service could be a little slow, but the environment was truly relaxing. Check out the local fundraiser events that allow people to bring their dogs. Fun!

A little chilly in December, but plenty of open air heaters to keep it comfortable. Excellent place to watch sports and enjoy a local brew.

The views and setting of this rooftop bar make the prices a little easier to stomach! Had a nice beer enjoying the last of the evening sun and my wife enjoyed a cocktail, then it was on wards to happy hour elsewhere!

We loved this and spent almost every evening up here with a cold drink after a day of sightseeing and shopping. You could see a lot of the city from this view especially Petco Park only a block away. They would always light the fireplaces for us which helped once the sun went down. Service was great!!!!

We were in San Diego during the Super bowl. We came back to the room for the game after we had walked the Gas Lamp district. The eating establishments were very full and filled with Seahawk fans. (We saw one Patriot flag on our walk. Not that this is real important as we hoped to see Green Bay in the SB.) However, we had sliders and nachos from Level 9 and they were very good. We enjoyed the game from the quiet of our room. Having some tasty treats available for the game right in the hotel at a special price was a nice gesture by the Hotel Indigo for patrons. (I noticed they had some "extras" planned for Valentine's Day. I assume they must do the little extras for all special activities and days. A nice touch for the traveler.)

This is a great roof top bar with a view of Petco park. I was there on a beautiful night. It is a great spot to get a drink to sit near a gas fire pit or under a warm heater. It has loads of charm and character.

Had a great time here, We will be back! We stayed at the hotel and gave this place a shot. Excellent! Sandy R

A mid-week gathering on the roof of Hotel Indigo for drinks and food. Wonderful relaxing atmosphere, courteous and friendly staff, and a world-class view.

We dressed up and went here thinking it’s an upscale rooftop bar but as soon as we got there we were disappointed because half of it was closed for a private event and the other half looked more like a coffee shop and people were sitting in jeans and tshirts talking to each other. Just not the vibe we were looking for so we walked back out and went somewhere else.

Please see my review of the restaurant which comments and has pictures of the rooftop bar experience!

We had two drink vouchers during our stay at the Hotel Indigo, so we went upstairs to enjoy the drinks and the view. The rooftop bar has a view of Petco Park and is dog friendly. There's ample space to spread out near the heat-lamps. We spaced our drinks out and made two trips to the rooftop bar, once before dinner and once after. Prior to dinner, I opted for the Old Town San Diego which is their riff on the Old Fashioned. It was made with bourbon and served with an Italian cherry. It was solid! After dinner, I opted for a glass of La Marca Prosecco and the Cardamom budino. My husband asked for a White Russian. We charged the extra drink and dessert to the room, where we already had a card on file. The dessert was pretty good and the prosecco superb. Service was super friendly and we chatted with our neighbors. Apparently, they were in town for the Post Malone concert the following evening. It would have been cool if we were to stay an additional evening but alas, c'est la vie. This is a solid rooftop bar for locals or tourists alike. Cheers!

Beautiful roof top bar and view, with extended Holiday hours. The fire pits are a welcome visual and functional amenity on a cool January night. So sit by the fire, &/or bring a wrap. Nice in-house bar and service.

LEVEL 9 offers a great place to relax after work. It offers comfortable couches, gas fire pits, flat screen TVs, and a view of Petco Park.

The manager Adrian made sure my experience exceptional! The view of Petco was amazing. The bar had a wide selection of beers and top self liquors.

This is one of the best parts of this hotel. GREAT views of the city, particularly Petco Park. You can see into right field all the way to home plate from most parts of this space. The bar looks fun and the food looked great too! Nothing fancy, but appetizers and drinks don't need to be in this environment. The fire pits and heat lamps made it a really great space to hang with friends and family!

Unfriendly staff, mediocre drinks. High prices. A disappointment and no real vibe to it. The view is nice, but if you really want to have a good roof-top bar experience, i‘d rather recommend Altitude at Marriots.

Borrego is spectacular - great for regular dining and group events; fun location, delicious food, excellent cocktails, and a stunning view (double points for overlooking the baseball game's fireworks). We held a corporate gathering here and it was perfect - Jesus and his team took such good care of us, I wish every city had a venue like this for our events. Cannot recommend Borrego and the Hotel Indigo enough - thanks team!!

Beautiful bar located on the top of the Indigo Hotel providing great views of Petco Park and the East Village. Small seating area surrounding two fire pits. One must go to the bar to be served, if you grab a seat no one will come over to take your order.

Stayed at this hotel and visited the Level 9 to watch baseball game. Had good views of the ballpark and enjoyed the scene of the patio.

Level 9 Rooftop bar in Hotel Indigo is a beautiful and relaxing place. It has two open faced fire places, tables with outside heaters, good drinks list and food menu too. Great place to stop for a drink.

Great service. Enjoyed watching the game at the bar with my pup. Everyone was very friendly and conscientious.

We were staying at the hotel and our room overlooked the bar area so we decided to go and have a beer. The sun had gone off the terrace so it was a bit cold, we had a couple of beers which were expensive then we left. Not much more to say really. It was pleasant but I wouldn't go there again there are a lot of better places to go for a drink nearby

Lovely place to sit and watch the "goings on" in Petco Park. We found a seat by the gas firepit but had to get our own drinks. No table service. Best after dark

We went here for drinks when we stayed at the hotel. The view is great. The "fireplace" is fun and the drinks were good.

The roof top view was lovely. The bartender was nice, and made a good drink. There were fire pits, and warmers that made it possible to sit outside without jackets. It was very nice, and I'd go back.

The bar tender acted like we were bothering her. There was 10 in our party all she wanted to do was talk to the three guys on the end of the bar. My bosses wife asked for a particular liquor. The bar tender bit her head off that they didn't have it! Very unprofessional!! The Indigo Hotel on the other hand was absolutely the best we've stayed at in San Diego. It is quiet and the staff was exceptional.

We stayed at the Hotel Indigo and this rooftop bar is on the 9th floor of the hotel. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because it's very expensive. But the view of Petco Park (Padres' stadium) along with the experience is worth the extra $$ in my opinion. Fun place to hang out with friends or before a Padres game!

The view is good, the fire pits are inviting, but the service was mediocre at best. Also, a bar doesn't need bar stools one has to climb up into.

Fantastic ambiance and Jen is a great bartender! Inventive drinks, good service, casual atmosphere and great setting make this a really fun place to be.

You have to visit this place. Unique, not too crowded, great view, good drink selection. Great date night.

Fantastic views of Petco park and San Diego. We enjoyed the happy more on numerous occasions. We also ordered a light meal from the menu and the food was very good. Don't miss this if you stay here.

Pretty spot. Signs tell you to go to the bar for service. One bartender, about a dozen customers. Could not get served so I left!

Level 9 is a bar. You aren't going to have gourmet food here, but that isn't the point. However, what you will have is a great relaxing atmosphere, probably the best service anywhere near gaslamp, and great views. I really liked this place!

Level 9 on the 9th floor of the Hotel Indigo is a great place to relax and enjoy a drink with a view. Check out the daily drink specials. Mixed drinks are a bit pricey but you're sitting outside on the 9th floor in the Gaslamp Quarter of San Diego. Splurge and enjoy!

Great view of the city! If there is a ballpark playing, you could literally watch the game. Great way to end a chilly night cozying up to your honey with a nice cocktail or glass of wine!

Nice but expensive, bed was very hard, not at all what we expected from this class of hotel. And parking is redicioulsly expensive because there is litter ally no where to park! So it cost 42$ to valet park overnight at the hotel. Room was very nice except for the bed!

Located in the southwest corner of the ninth floor, the “rooftop” bar and outdoor seating area offer the best daytime and evening view of the city’s skyline. Level 9 provides spectacular view and an exciting urban experience.

This bar is located in the Indigo Hotel (not in La Jolla, CA) near Petco park. I was there in September and although the nights were chilly there were nice heaters to keep you plenty warm. The view to Petco park was cool and you could hear the stadium. I stopped at this bar both nights I stayed at the hotel (only open to hotel guests I think). My only complaint was the bar closed too early. On my second night there they were shutting down at 9:30, several people tried to get in but the doors had already been locked. They close at 10 on weeknights so get there early.

We were staying at Indigo and were excited to check out this place. As advertised, the view was amazing and on game night it is probably the perfect place to be! Unfortunately we walked in and sat down but the no one ever came to take our drink order so we left after 15-20 minutes.

We ate here while staying at the hotel. Lovely atmosphere & pet friendly. Bit pricey but atmosphere is what you are purchasing. Dog pee area included!

Definitely an atmosphere that encourages discussion amongst strangers (who very quickly become friends)! Great place to have an evening drink if you want to avoid the crowds streetside!

I enjoyed the nice relaxing atmosphere of the Rooftop Bar. The warm and cozy fire made it a nice place to sit, relax and visit.

My husband and I were staying in the hotel and went to get a light dinner and drinks on the terrace. We got the last seats with a table and they had the outdoor heaters on so we were warm. Unfortunately, there was only one bartender/server on the terrace and he was swamped. My martini was very small - I would have returned it but felt sorry for the bartender, he kept his cool. We ordered small items off the bar menu and they were okay, nothing outstanding. There were 4 sliders - two hamburger (very good) and two another meat that I could not eat. If you want a nice rooftop and are flexible about snacks, you will be quite happy. Big kudos on the atmosphere.

Loved the view of Petco Park and the city skyline. The food was pretty good too and was reasonably priced.

We spent a beautiful evening here. great cocktails and staff, loved that the server was helping us with ideas on things to do within the city. Loved the open fires, very very cool spot !

We were staying in the hotel and the rooftop bar is a nice place for a drink, it has a relaxed atmosphere and views of the Gaslamp Quarter and the Padres stadium.

The right place to relax with a good drink and nice views. Weather in San Diego is nice, so you will enjoy it.

The rooftop bar is a nice place to enjoy a drink and take in the skyscape across the Gaslamp district. Drinks can get pricey but the atmosphere is cozy with heaters and comfy coaches that make it worthwhile. Warning: the crowd tends to be young and hip and can get boisterous.

Came here for a pre-dinner drink and also because we just HAD TO. Tried their Mission Blond which is now my absolute favorite and I'm sad that I need to drive so far to be able to have this beer. Our bartender was very friendly. Much quieter than I had anticipated!

Beautiful place to see the sunset! They have great speciality drinks. Nice seating area. Great fire pits to sit around.

Came here with my husband during our 3 day stay in San Diego - really cute bar. We were staying in the hotel, so it was really convenient. Views are amazing :)

We stayed at the Hotel Indigo in order to be close to Petco Park and stopped into this small rooftop bar for dinner and drinks. This is a great spot - they have patio umbrellas, firepits, and heaters to keep you comfortable and amazing views of the city and right into Petco Park. My husband got a pizza, and I got a salad topped with avocado and pomegranate seeds; both were very good. Really relaxing, located on the 9th floor; just go to the bar to place your order. They're even pet friendly. We would definitely go back again the next time we're in town.

The view of Petco Park is great and the nighly fireworks are wonderful. Highly recommend you visiting this rooftop bar!

Worth the visit for the view and the appointments. Several fire pits. View of the stadium ball field. Really nice with a good and attentive staff.

This time our visit to Level 9 might as well have been a visit to a theme park, with fussy children and people on their cellsphones. Quite a different crowd than what we experienced on our previous visit. still beautiful view and lovely lava lamps, perhaps we were just there at the wrong time, though 8pm wouldn't seem a bad time to go?

This is an average hotel bar with woefully below-average food. While they do make the best of the menu they can, frozen food tastes like frozen food. That being said, I love love love this hotel and the bar food is no reflection of the hotel overall!

We stayed at Hotel Indigo (clean, good service, great location). We went the Level 9 for drinks on our last night and the view was great! Strong drinks!
Stunning views (watch the game for free!)
This space was PERFECT for day or night. I was able to lounge in the plush couches and kick my feet up during the day for some "work from home" hours - got to work on my tan while I was at it. Super quiet - other than the game that was going on. So fun to glance over to the park for a perfect view from time to time. The nighttime vibe is great as well - awesome fire pits for the chillier nights and a great place to mingle. A must visit!
