Ordered food today through UberEats, bill was $90 For two meals not even worth $20. Highly Disappointed Smallest portions ever. Complete rip off.

This food was epic! Great flavours, fresh and great service. Very helpful staff. So Smokey and tasty.

A HARD “NO”. Last night a few friends & I dined at the a Sunset location; EVERYTHING about our experience was HORRIBLE from the overly aggressive door greeter to the inattentive wait staff and slow servers. We were served 3 completely wrong entrees and found ourselves arguing with a rude, incompetent and combative manager as we attempted to express our unpleasant experience and voice our complaints. The dishes that were delivered were ill prepared, steaks were over and under cooked, some drinks NEVER showed up and to take the cake, we were overcharged on the final bill. I wouldn’t feed this to my dog (if I had one) or Invite my worst enemy here. I’m still hungry because I left out of pure disgust, I’d discourage anyone from even thinking about visiting Bosa Novas and to consider the operative word “No”.

I had heard a lot of hype from my friends about Bossa Nova on Sunset so they finally convinced us to give it a try. Initially, I really did not want to dine there because the restaurant looked like a dive in need of an upgrade. However, we decided to dine there and in all honesty I wished that I had not. The food is nothing exceptional, our table was not really clean and kept wobbling, service was adequate, and the Sangria was disappointing. Not a place that we would go back to.

Great food. I visited this restaurant twice while in LA and it did not disappoint. Its a pretty busy restaurant but service was quick and attentive. Looking forward to my next visit.

The food was excellent, really cocked by a brazilian chef. The server did not speak portuguese and was really hard to reach, I had to call someone else to pay my bill. To cut long story short, if you're looking for a good brazilian food that's the place, just do not expect a brazilian ambiance nor a friendly reception.

This place is reasonably average, like most places to eat in LA. I would go again though having said that.

Really recommend this place, went with three friends and all our meals were excellent and the service was great

After reading reviews we decided to walk to this funky & chill restaurant. Service was great & friendly. Food was delicious! Well worth the short walk! & we would have gone back but wanted to try other places while we were in Hollywood.

Had the BBQ-Bacon Burger. I thought it was outstandingly good! One of the best burgers I have ever had. The waiter recommended me the "Dragon Milk" dark beer to go along with (little whiskey-like taste, 11%). That just topped it off. I can recommend the place very much. It was a bit fuzzy to get to the menu by texting (?). Something they should change I think. The waiter was very friendly too. Go for it!

My favorite dishes are shrimp stroganoff and salmon dish. However, my family love other delicious dishes from the steak to the pasta.

Wallked down Sunset Blvd and ran into this place. Outside seating with heaters, great service and good food

Lowes Hotel on Highland recommended this restaurant as one of the ones open late night, I went ahead and ordered for delivery to the hotel. It took a very long time for the food to arrive, the delivery person was very apologized for the delay, My family and I did not fuss, as it was late and we were hungry. Upon looking at our food it was the most awful we have ever ordered. The pizza was burnt and dry, I thought it was some kind of joke or maybe they accidentally delivered a pizza that was going into the trash.. I was so so bad.. I wish I had a picture of it, the chocolate cake was old and the garlic bread was the only part of the meal that was edible. If you are looking for late night pizza don't order from here, if the delivery person remembers my order, he HAS to be aware of how bad it was.. I mean it looked like trash.. I was too tired and too hungry to care at the time, but promised my self I would write this review. Please do not order from here .. you will be very sorry.

This place is Awesome.. I love their steak. I like it that you can also order the sides that you like. The staff are very nice and helpful. Definitely going to come back here.

So we stop here after a night out with my girls. The place at that time was full.(3 am) we had to wait for 10-15 mins to get a table... We got bread oh god it was so yummy! The place is visited mostly by African American people at that time. Pizza was ok (Hawaiian ) pasta ( carbonara) was better than the pizza. Staff were friendly

I was so sad i love this place. But today i was so dissapoited. I order the same food I always order and my good came so burned. Horrible.

I thought it would be very nice after all the good reviews but got a little disappointed. We waited to get in about 45min which was OK, and the staff were very nice. We had to wait quite a while to get our orders in and it was confusing that the waiter was different person every time. Their vegetarian options aren't so impressive, I took a pizza and only thing I could taste was salt. I heard that meat there is very good though. Overall it was OK but probably won't be going again.

Thank Goodness for their Valet parking as its challenging to find parking ... Food is great !! Cheese breads (pao de quaijo) and other authentic Brazilian dishes all legit !!!

Horrible service, long wait for the waiter with an attitude! First and last visit! Garbage restaurant on 3/24/23. Couple next to us has two dogs!

The food was good, but I was expecting more Brazilian food. Coming from Miami with so many Brazilian restaurants, even though the food was good, it was not my favorite.

A good restaurant with a very efficient service, in Sunset Boulevard. The rib eye was delicious including the rice, yucca flour and garlic mashed potatoes. Perfect. I only wished my stomach was bigger, as I truly enjoyed eating here. Wines good at a moderate price. 5 minutes walk from Hollywood Centre on Hollywood boulevard. Pizza at this place is lovely as well, as was the halibut.

The right amount of spiciness to tickle the taste buds. My meal was juicy, hot and flavorful. Nice friendly atmosphere. Servers were extra nice and made accommodating our party a plus. Payment methods were simplified for our large party. It was a tight fit but worked out well for us. Wait time was not as long as we imagined or expected it to be. I'll visit again when in Hollywood. Really nice place!

Lots of locals eat here, so we knew it must be good. Our appetizer was Coxhina and it was excellent. My daughter raved about her spicy pasta dish with shrimp and chicken. Although the service was slow, we would eat here again because of the large variety of menu choices.

After a short wait we were seated in this very busy restaurant. Great choice of food which was all excellent, although I would probably pass on the Fried Yucca! Service was good and would recommend this moderately priced restaurant.

We arrived at a busy Sunday evening and were told there was a 5 minute wait but were seated within one minute. The menu was enormous as were the portions and the food was very good and moderately priced. We drank good wine by the glass and left happy.

WOW! This small LA chain cranks tasty flavorful Brazilian dishes for shockingly affordable prices for Los Angeles! Staff is friendly all around, ambience is simple Brazilian themed decor in a bright open modern environment. $12 3 Crispy, Deep Fried Brazilian Pastries, we got the chicken and beef, both were fantastic! $16 Chicken Bowl...two firm, juicy, tender chicken thighs grilled perfectly and sensationally seasoned with a secret mix of Brazilian spices. These float on top of a colorful and flavorful mix of Brazil sides including roast veggies, black beans, collard greens, roasted potatos, salsas...all floating on some wild quinoa, absorbing all those heavenly flavors form above. YUM! $21 Traditional Brazilian Chicken plate...two firm, juicy, tender chicken thighs grilled perfectly and sensationally seasoned with a secret mix of Brazilian spices(copy paste!). Side of sweet plantains, roasted veggies, and a cup of Brazilian Feijoada: hot Black Bean Stew simmered with Smoked Pork and Beef, and a secret blend of Brazilian spices. YUM! $6 Orange Cake...a lovely light cake for dessert! BONUS: This location is open till 4am...love that!

Excellent Brazilian food. Nice operation. Definitely recommend going for a meal. One of the few places where you also get vegetables with your food.

Going to the Bowl and want a great dinner beforehand? Bossa Nova. The pizza and salad were both terrific, with prompt and attentive service. We walked from here to The Bowl for the concert, to work off the great food.

The food I overheard the hostess telling parties as they arrived that they were required to pay for their meal before I arrived at the table and there was a $15 minimum per person with no split checks. This was very bizarre to me. I guess I understand there are issues with people dining and dashing but there has to be some more tactful way to ensure that your guests do not skip out on the check

Affordable, great service, extensive menu, and delish! Ate here twice during a stay in Weho and would highly recommend!

It's been so many years since I've had the opportunity to visit this restaurant but from my memory, this place have really good food! Good location, always crowded though. It's a quaint little place with outdoor seating as well. The staff was always polite. I can't quite remember the appetizer I use to get but I think it was some sort of chicken wrapped in bacon. The taste was very, very nice. The main course again was always a chicken dish with plaintains. My gosh the portions are rather large as well. You could really share if you wanted to. I would go back without a doubt! I remember driving at least 23 mins with no traffic just to go have lunch or dinner here. Oh I must say that parking kind of suck. Well worth it though. :)

Extensive menu with traditional Brazilian food as well as American/Italian dishes. Our food was very good and we will def be back soon!!

Went there for dinner two days in a row. Food is so delicious and portions are really big, so you won't leave the restaurant with an empty stomach. We can highly recommend the bruschetta and the seafood from the grill! The interior design style is beautiful and the waiters are so friendly. Go there for dinner, they have something on the menu for everyone!

the food was great...not expensive and good service. the place needs a bid of fixing and the washrooms also having said that you got to tr6 it out i sure will be going again

Located on Sunset Boulevard in the hear of Rock and Roll West Hollywood, Bossa Nova offers an extensive menus of Brazilian fare. Our part of four enjoyed the Bacalhau Na Grelha (grilled cod), chicken soup, Greek Salad, boneless chicken, and "Erich's" (catch of the day.) The wine list included a very nice Slow Press chardonnay and a Pinot Griggio.

This place is amazing and has been around for a long time. Always great staff, top notch service and most important, amazing food. Give it a try and know that it’s a great late night option too since they close super late. 5 stars!

The food is always spot on! My go to dish is any grilled fish with black beans and fried yucca. It's AMAZING!!!! The croquettes are also great. You can't go wrong whether it's the shrimp or chicken. They are both heaven. I like this one over the Robertson location because there's more elbow room, but the food is so good, it doesn't really matter.

This gem was recommended to us. We had lunch and the food was delicious. They give big portions .. so much food, i had to bring home. We had the Lemon and Garlic chicken and It was very good!

Great restaurant right on Sunset Blvd. It is a Brazilian restaurant but they have lots of different types of food. I had a gnocchi with chicken which was delicious and reasonably priced. It was also a generous portion. I was stuffed at the end of my meal. The staff was also really friendly and attentive. Would definitely visit again.

Bossa Nova Brazilian Cuisine Restaurant & Bar, 8630 Sunset Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90069, United States. This Brazilian restaurant has place for about 60 people. We we’re happy that we were able to get a table. The service from the main waiter was excellent. 90% of the tables was filled the lead waiter managed to have small conversations, come with the drinks and have our food ordered within no time. Sorry for what we ordered in a Brazilian restaurant. We had spaghetti seafood and lasagna. Yes we must have been walking to a Italian but we did not have energy to walk so far 😎. The food was excellent when it comes to presentation, taste and temperature. We recommend this restaurant, besides Brazilian also good for other dishes

We happened to be staying at the hotel across the street and Bossa Nova was the only place walking distance that was open after seeing Wicked (which is also amazing BTW). If you want something on the healthier side, they have their protein bowl and if you're not worried that have pastas and pizzas. We got a combo.. Salmon bowl & chicken lasagna.... OMG! So good! We've gone back twice already.

We had dinner at this restaurant in Los Angeles and we were not bad. Good salmon with puree and asparagus, I do not recommend pizza, which I did not take but looks bad. Fast and friendly staff, free WiFi. I recommend booking.

Went here last night and did not book ahead. Reassuringly had to wait twenty minutes for a table midweek so busy and popular place. Mix of tourists and locals. Massive menu so focuses on the specialities and the highlighted popular dishes. Not disappointed with the food or service. Great selection of beers and wines also. Portions are large so sharing two meals between three is definitely an option.

Practically only the name is Brazilian. You don't eat bad, but you don't eat typical Brazilian food. There are some timid attempts, but otherwise it's American cuisine.

Bossa Nova is a cozy restaurant with delicious food and great service. We arrived early so it was easy getting a table - when we left there was a line, so I would recommend getting there early.

Our friend suggested Bossa Nova for dinner. What a TREAT! From out of town and trying something new - Try Bossa Nova. Had the Traditional Chicken dinner- so so Yummy! My kids loved it too. Lots of options - wanted to try everything. Will Definitely go back when visiting LA area.

Excellent food and service! Go there. I'll sure comme back. Been there already twice. Chicken picatta, pasta & Alexandra's salad. I want to try them all! :))

They are great at selling yet service part including checking on how the food was non existing. If u look above you will see all dust dirt never been cleaned. And expresso is more like an americano lol as we speak 20 min since asked for bill still waiting. Food was actually good, if u have time to kill and dont care the wait i will be ok.

I am sorry to post such a bad review but we ordered 3-6 person dinners =18 servings! We received portions for 4-5 guests at our dinner party. There was no time to fix the problem, our housekeeper ended up cooking things from our freezer. Uber eats gave us 30$. Ridiculous experience.. one you do not forget :(

Excellent service and food, family visit whilst in LA, worth a visit. Good friendly service from waiting staff. Excellent choice of options on menu. Massive portions, great taste. Recommend a visit if in the area, makes a change from just burgers at most other restaurants .

Recommended by staff at our nearby hotel so we had a 10 min walk there. We were seated straight away which surprised me as I expected a wait, seeing as they don’t take reservations. However the table was not in the best position being very close to the door and the area where the deliveries were picked up etc. Our waitress was attentive and patient whilst we made our choices - the menu is like a small novel! All meals were tasty and came in good time. Only one issue with the chicken lasagne- red hot on the outer parts but still cool in the centre. Would go again though.

Rafael's pasta has been my favourite meal of all time for over a decade. I wish I lived closer to LA for Bossa Nova only! The cheese bread is also amazing. I will fly back to LA just to go back again.

The server was slow coming to take our order, and took a while for the order to come out. However, the food itself was great and the portions were ample. My Brazilian paella was delicious and very different from the Portuguese style. The wraps were also good.

Wonderful healthy food, really spectacular salads. In an area like Sunset Plaza, it is one of the recommended places for a healthy stop and lunch. Attentive staff

Probably eaten here 5 or 6 times over the last 6 years, great food, good price, good service and nice little outside area should you so wish to watch action and the noise of Sunset.

Massive choices on the menu. Full on Americana food really. Good sized portions. Very tasty. Good service. Great beers. Nice sitting outside as the sun went down. Best place we found in the area.

I always get the traditional chicken plate... The food is always great. Love the specialty Brazillian drinks and beer. Staff is wonderful and attentive. Great atmosphere since they did some remodeling. Location right near hollywood blvd.

I took my college student son and his friend to this restaurant on their recommendation. I was pleasantly surprised at the flavor and quantity of food served here. The portions are huge. Service was prompt and the meals were great but this is one crowded place, maybe because of the aforementioned. My only advice is not to sit near the restroom in the center of the dining area as it must be small and people line up to wait, next to your table. In spite of this small thing, it was a great find.

I've been here so many times when I visit LA with my friends. Staff are always welcoming and helpful even when you don't have a table booked. The atmophere here is always lively and full of people dining and drinking. I had the fried plantains and they were amazing and so tasty I wanted more. They also do take out and delivery. It's a tremendous place and it can do no wrong.

Came here to get an after hours meal and we could see roaches running across the restaurant. Ewwwww!!

Awesome Brazilian restaurant! Great for a date night, their pastas and meat dishes are top knotch. The big surprise for me is how good their pizza is, I grew up in NY eating pizza as a dietary staple so I know a good pizza when I taste one. It's not NY style or anything, It's a classic thin crust, rustic style pie, but it's really, really good. I've been eating there, ordering delivery for over 15 years now. Enjoy!

As Brazilian living in U.S I’m always looking for nice Brazilians restaurants to eat when I travel around, a friend took me to Bossa Nova and I was impressed with the food and service there. Very friendly staff, in a nice area in Hollywood, and the price was good. If you are in Hollywood and want to have a taste of Brazil, Bossa Nova is the option.

I was an habitue of Bossa Nova when I lived in LA. It's a great spot to eat homemade brazilian food away from home.

This restaurant has a big menu with lots of delicious options. It has some Brazilian specialties but there were many other things to choose from too. Dishes were plentiful, well prepared and served quickly. I would definitely return. Service was also very attentive.

Los Angeles is not a great city for walkers, but we had visited the Hollywood Bowl and the Walk of Fame on foot and were sure we'd find a restaurant nearby for a mid-afternoon meal. Finally, walking on Sunset Boulevard, tired, hungry, thirsty, we chanced upon Bossa Nova and enjoyed a very fine meal there. The maitre d' was very helpful in recommending house specialties, and the staff was very efficient and attentive. We had a fun Avocado toast to start. My husband had sea bass, simply prepared which came on a plate of beautifully grilled vegetables. I had a Coulotte Steak “Picanha," with lively spices served with onions and potatoes. Steaks were certified to be from the Omaha area. We had complained that our savingnon blanc was not cold enough, and at the end of our meal the maitre d' brought us each a fresh glass of ice cold wine on the house. The restaurant had a nice feeling, good for the neighborhood, families and tourists. We wish we could have tried more things from the extensive menu.

The calm homy backyard was the perfect place for our dinner after sightseeing all day! The menu was huuge so I’m sure anyone can find something from this place 😍 If you want to try something new, go for the fried plantains, they are delish. The portions are huge too so come with an appetite, however you can take the rest with you to go ☺️ The four of us ate & drank with only 36$ each including tips and taxes, so a really good price too! Highly recommend this place.

I used Grub Hub for delivery so I cant speak on the actual restaurant but the food came in a reasonable amount of time and it was delicious.

Wonderful! We had lemon/garlic chicken, tenderloin grain bowl and pizza. All really delicious, good portions and reasonably priced.

Nice and comfortable ambiance. Food is delicious and the service is the best. Highly recommend this place!

The food definitely has no taste of Brazilian food. The guaraná is not the real Guaraná Antarctica. The coxinha was extremely fatty and lacked the characteristic taste of the Brazilian coxinha. We asked for a barbecue, but the cutting of the meat was not appropriate, the linguiça did not remember the Brazilian linguiça and the farofa was industrialized. The banana came caramelized, when the most common in our cuisine is the empanada banana. The rice and the beans were ok. The fried potato was ok. The cheese bread was also ok. The fried mackerel is extremely fat. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, as it discarded the Brazilian cuisine, which is rich, varied and full of identity.

Wonderful food. Authentic Brazilian food. Great service. Do not miss Caipirinha drink! Bossa Nova also have 4 other locations around the Los Angeles area. Check it out!

I loved this restaurant so much when I lived in Los Angeles and returning after a 4 year absence it still has my heart. I never had the pasta before but this time I decided to try the Pasta, how can you make pasta taste so amazing. A delicious chicken, sauted in some delicious juices with fresh mushrooms and the amazing sauce. Yum is the only thing I could say. I wanted to get a Tirmisu but since I was stuffed from the Pasta that would have to be another time. It may take a few minutes to get in as this is a hot spot, it's definitely worth the wait. The waiter was so personable and fun and attentive. Look forward to always going to Bossa Nova when I am in Los Angeles. Best part, they are open late and they deliver! Whaaaat!

Amazing food and service, in price mid range. We just loved everything we ordered, we definitely will go back during our stay! This a place worth to visit, especially because it is close to Beverly Hills and WeHo, Walk of Fame.

Service good. Skirt steak a little chewy but ok. Seafood salad was good. Rose nice. Issue was w ppl who chose to smoke what smelled like marijuana on the patio

Having just arrived in LA and settled into our hotel, we decided to eat locally. I'd checked out Bossa Nova online before we left and it was rated highly, so it was always on the cards. We decided to eat the Brazilian starters and mains, as why wouldn't you! Have to say, the food was excellent, very tasty, with interesting flavours. The staff were polite and the atmosphere relaxed. If we lived here, we'd be popping in quite a lot and that's a definite 👍

I was visiting Hollywood, celebrating a reunion with a Barcelona family, and we decided to go to Bossa Nova the first night we were together. They were so very pleased with the pasta dishes they ordered and I was 100% pleased with the polite, respectful and so very friendly service in this restaurant. It is calm enough for a dinner where the people involved can easily have a conversation! Overall, it was a lovely night to remember!

Food was good, both indoor and outdoor sitting. the Sangria was divine. Steak was okay not over the top.

I went to Bossa Nova 11-11-2015. I hadn't been in awhile and was really excited to be back. I used to eat here all the time. I was so excited about ordering the Smoked Salmon Pizza I was almost salivating. I tell so many people to go to your restaurant and order the pizza because it is so good. Not anymore. Really cheaping out. Used to be you would get a piece of salmon in every bite. I ordered a large pizza and the was one skimpy piece of salmon on each slice. So, you had to eat half the slice before you even got a bite of salmon. Never again... Edgars Salad was still good, but two of us ordered one and one of us got theirs at the beginning of the meal and I got mine towards the end, after the pizza. We had four people at our table and one was finished with her meal before any of us were served. We ordered Yucca for an appetizer and that was also brought in the middle of the meal. We sat outside and it was so dark out there, we could barely read the menu and had to use our cell phones to see anything. One of our guests had to get back to work and he finally asked for his dinner to go and left. We took it to him when we left. We ate some of our food and then asked for the rest to be packed to go. There was about 4 squares of bread left and I asked for that to be packed with my left overs. When I got home, they did not pack the bread. The server was very friendly. Over all, this was not the experience I used to have when I used to come here all the time. Doubt if we will be coming back...

Great food, friendly staff, nice atmosphere, good prices. Will definitely return. Highly recommended. Even saw a reality star.

Great food and lost of choices. Also a very tempting wine list. The service is friendly and helpful and attentive though they are very busy there. From pasta to meat, the food is always very good.

The food was delicious, but the service left a little to be desired. We still had a great time with our friends. If you've never had Brazilian food, the pão de queijo is a must and order guarana to drink.

Great menu, excellent service and food quality. I had chicken lasagne and others in my family had Brazilian dishes. So good. Will certainly be going back again. Highly recommended.

We where looking for a restaurant with good fresh cooked food, away from the crowd. Bossa Nova presented all of it! We had a Kids menu, fried yucca, pizza with fresh arugula and a super bowl with chicken! Everything was fresh and delicious! We got served fast and friendly! We will return!!!

Upon realizing that most of the restaurants on Sunset Blvd close around 10p, we were happy to see Bossa Nova open with patrons dining outside. Once I walked I was not greeted by a hostess but I saw plenty of waiters counting their tips which led me to believe they were closing soon. The security guard wrote down our party # and asked us to wait outside. I obliged despite seeing many vacant tables inside. After stewing for about 5 minutes I went back inside and asked if anyone was seating guests? Pointing to the open tables, we were seated pretty quickly after that. I server Daniel was very attentive and responsive to taking our orders. I ordered the chicken parmigiano which comes with mashed potatoes. I didn't realize that otherwise I would have ordered the pasta instead. As I started to eat, the food was so good even the potatoes :) that I forgot about missing the pasta. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the chicken caciatore. When I'm back in LA I will go back to this hidden gem.

We ate there on a Saturday night so they were busy and had to wait a bit for the food. But the food was great. The menu is diverse, portions are quite big, prices are low and the food is very tasty. I would highly recommend it. Family friendly. .

If you’re looking for a good meal at a good price with good service, this is it. Pastas, steaks, pizzas...I’ve tried them all and enjoyed them all at a price point that is perfect. I also order delivery from them. Top of my list. The salsa, black beans, mashed potatoes & plantains alone are worth the visit. Delicious!

Jules and Harvey at the front are amazing! they are so welcoming, genuine, and funny! we love the vibe and will definitely be back!

The restaurant is very well located. They have a good variation of foods; seafood, salads and meats and all kind of drinks. No parking. We were a family of ten. The food as a whole was good, everybody at the table was completely satisfied. Good environment, excellent service and very good price.

This place is really nice they have outdoor and indoor sitting, Food is great, have a very good taste, I love the passion fruit mimosas...I really recommended it.

We had the pasta dishes which tasted great, I also had the veggie super bowl which was really nice. Portion sizes were plenty, we had lots left over which we took home. Staff were friendly and fast service.

Brazilian restaurant but there's nothing Brazilian about it. Friendly staff but some of them are not very concerned about the customer… let me explain. We ordered 2 barbecues, and there were so many platters that they didn't fit on the table and we asked for help with that and they responded that there was nothing to do, we had to put the platters on the window ledge as they didn't fit on the table. As for the food, nothing special and there's nothing Brazilian about it. The banana, cassava and fries were terrible, they were frozen... the meat, especially the picanha, was poorly cooked, it didn't even taste like picanha. Point in favor was the quantity, quite well Served in quantity but in quality it fell far short!

Horrible service, will never come back to this location manager sucks.. couldn’t make simple changes to the meal. They act like you owe them something this is what happens when there’s not no competition for business in the area

Bossa nova provides Brasilian food in substantial portions - the catch of the day (sea bass) came with black bean sauce, deepfried bananas, and rice, which was enough to feed a hungry tourist. They also have Brasilian beer - definitely worth sampling! For some reason the waiter gave us free t-shirts.

Having found this place on trip adviser, we were not disappointed for our meal at the end of our trip to LA. A huge menu with almost too much choice! Lovely wine and the service was great too. Would definitely recommend if looking for good food in a relaxed atmosphere away from the the chaos of the Hollywood Boulevard.

The food here is Brazilian/Italian based and very tasty. The service was friendly and quick. Recommended.

Trying to find a place for South American food is not that easy and this restaurant does it right. Food is diverse and portions are very big. We had the Rio's plate and some kind of pasta which were pretty good. The place in itself is nice and the atmosphere cozy. Service was good though I felt it was a bit rushed.

I had traditional chicken with beans and veggies that were tired and over cooked. Chicken was tough. Beans were decent but overall not sure why so many people like this place. Can’t say I’d ever go back. Cheese puffs or bread were Delish though!

Not many options for late night food in the district. Nice cool late night walk from Chinese theatre area. Be prepared cos they can get busy after midnight. Be prepared to spot a celeb or their crew. Food was just nice. Nothing memorable. But edible food at late late night is something to appreciate. Service was actually not good. Could never get any help with required. They deserve just three rating but 4th score is for their late nite.

Read about them in Trip Advisor and was impressed with raving reviews (even for take outs). Indeed the review is true. Food was good, lip-smacking good. We ordered aglio olio pasta with grilled shrimps, lasagne and Bossa salad. Food was so good we went back the second night. We forgot to mention to hold the cheese and the salad came with cheese but it did not stop there, when the server found that we could not take cheese, immediately she took the salad back and brought back a new plate of salad with no cheese. Amazing! Two thumbs up!

Great service, food, and price. Wife had the sea bass with rissoto and I had the Rafael's pasta. Friendly service and great tasting food - hard to beat for the area!

Looks a nice friendly place but the reality , at least for us, was a little bit different. The food served wasn't bad , but it wasn't that great either, add that to a waiter who was clearly in a rush to get customers in and out in a rush and it doesn't bode well. They don't do reservations so this probably explains why they want people in and out quickly . Would I go back .........no, service showed no tact and could learn quite a lot from Wendy's up the road.

We’ve been on holiday traveling the east coast for the last 2 weeks and it’s fair to say we’ve had a few pizzas while we’ve been away... this place is at the top! Huge portions and great value.

We ordered a large catering order and paid for it. Order arrived 2 hours late and they demanded an additional payment. They would not accept our receipt for payment and took the food away. The original payment left our account - but they refuse to refund us as we ‘turned the food away’. Looks like a scam. Avoid

The restaurant in Los Angeles offers great value for money with good-quality food and generous portions. The delivery service was fast and efficient. Highly recommend! The picanha portion was divine!

We ended up here because we originally wanted to see it Pump was open to eat lunch and it wasn’t . This was basically across street and looked cute with outdoor seating. By looks of sign, you’d NEVER KNOW how good the food is. HIGHLY recommend the avocado toast. I had it at other high end restaurants and this was so much better!! Service was superb as well!

Love food from Bossa Nova, but not stuff! Specialy waiters at WeHo location. I asked about hot sauce, he treated me as a fully person. Like I don't know that hot is hot... behaviour 0!Also host is not kind. I would rather sit home and order by app, than visit.

employees are the lifeblood of the company Seeing a manager being rude to an employee is not pleasant.

We visited for lunch on Sunday. They have 2 bathrooms, both of which are gender neutral. They were both so dirty and disgusting that I couldn’t use them. I heard other female customers complain as well and one of them told the manager who did nothing but shake her head. Since you have 2 bathrooms, why not designate one for females and one for males??? We ordered a prosciutto and cheese flatbread which was disgusting. There was what appeared to be 1 tiny slice of prosciutto that had been cut into tiny strips and the Italian cheese was in a huge clump in the center of the flatbread. I left starving and very disappointed.

Our party arrived around 3pm for Sunday lunch - to allow the busy lunchtime rush to finish. We were not disappointed with plenty of space! The menu is large and varied in style, chicken, salads and pasta choices - served in very generous portions. The staff were excellent and we had a great time. I had a tasty chicken dish, but my wife had a delicious looking pasta cabonara - my choice for our next visit !!

Great place and a nice atmosphere! Good Brazilian food in LA but the Italian options were also amazing!

Hands down my favorite place from when I was young and broke and living in LA. The food is amazing, the desserts are even better, and if you don't have a chunk of change to plop down at an overpriced LA hot spot that will be gone in a few years, this is the place to be.

Service was great! Fernando was excellent! What a gem! Food was good too. I really enjoyed the black bean soup.

From the outside it is not clear how pleasantly welcoming the environment is inside. Something Brazilian you can breathe. The service we received was always with a smile and willingness to give information. The menu menu menu is significantly extensive with attractive proposals. All very good dishes we tried, from Brazilian super bowl, hamburger, picana to vegetables and condiments accessories to finish with good desserts. Value for money is good. Place to consider. We would stay again.

Wow what a delicious place!! Everytime we land to los angeles we have to stop by Bossa Nova it’s simply delicious!!! I recommend trying a meal, and a dessert they have a full nakery with the most delicious cales and bake goods!! 10/10

Very tasty food, portions plentiful, almost half too much, but unfortunately we could not take with us, although we had microwave in the hotel, but no plates and cutlery, very bad. Prices are slightly higher than average but still worth a visit. Very nice service

This place is a little gem just a few min walk from Hollywood Blvd (where it’s hard to find decent food). We went here 3 days running and the food and service were just spot on! Please make sure you try one of their bowls, they are to die for! I tried the salmon and pulled pork and both were amazing! Very friendly and lovely staff too!

We did a large takeout order and everything was ready in half an hour. Every entree was fabulous. Kudos to the beef skewers, plantains, mashed potatoes, pepperoni pizza, chicken piccata on bed of linguini, and lasagna. Great service and food.

We were recommended this restaurant by our landlord, and we were not disappointed, The menu selection is large and delicious. Also try the beer! Brazilian food at its finest, and very nice restaurant interior. Friendly staff! Go here for dinner.

Great place to have seafood and pasta. I loved what I ordered it was the "Grilled Salmon" and my friend ordered Picanha Appetizers and both were fantastic. The service here is great and the atmosphere is very cool.

The restaurant is pretty nice and service was good. But, the food is really average: nothing special or mentioned to be noticed. Then, there is a very limited choice of drinks. Given the crap you can find in the area, it could be a good choice but don’t expect anything special

Went for dinner to this neighbourhood restaurant in West Hollywood with my wife and 2 kids. Extensive menu and better than average food marred by poor service.

We were told to try this place by our VRBO hosts they live a block away and frequent the place. Really good experience. Wonderful food. We had a little of everything, steak, pasta, pulled pork and a salad. Each plate was excellent. Try it you will like it.

We stopped here for lunch on our last day in Hollywood after it was recommended to us by a friend. I ordered the gorgonzola burger, my wife ordered the pasta and my sons ordered the bolognese and a sandwich. We were not disappointed with the food at all! So delicious and tasty. My burger was to die for. The only down point I would mention was that our waiter made us fill our own to go containers as we could not finish all our foods, whereas he did it himself for the table opposite.

My family and I truly enjoyed this restaurant during our visit to California. It was difficult to find a spanish restaurant that offered a variety of options since we were all craving different things. The brushetta as an appetizer was soo delicious! For my main course the skirt steak was cooked to perfection, for me this is medium well, which came with 3 sides, I chose rice beans and plaintains. Everything was very tasty, and service was great as well. Our waiter Julio was very attentive. I would definitely come again and advise people to check it out.

Excellent location. Very good service. Collaborators with good will. Good cuisine. Cardboard with typical Brazilian options Nice place fair price Worth a visit

I stayed here in july and i really appreciated this fantastic restaurant.... Good plates (especially pasta plates), really big and cheapest... If you don't trust me, try it Good job Bossa Nova😉

I devoured the pasta that was put in front of me. My date enjoyed the stake; it was a great portion. The bread went well with it as well, and my date and I enjoyed the white sangria. Was a bit annoyed by the tab le of 10-12 that had their children running around and screaming, but besides that I enjoyed my meal there.

Ate here tonight as staying in motel opposite. Great food good service. Busy little restaurant. Well worth a visit.

Fantastic pasta, trendy atmosphere. Love the food every time and the service is always great. The prices are a little higher, but worth the quality of the food. This is now a favorite, and that says a lot for the abundance of food in Hollywood.

My wife and I had an appetiser and main each and the food was superb. Well impressed. Adding Lavazza coffee was the cherry on the cake.

It was a bad experience we asked for delivery the delivery guy was on time but the pizza was so salty that we couldn’t eat it and it was cold too though we live close to the restaurant. The truffle fries was below average in the matter of taste.

We recently spent a week in Los Angeles on holiday, always looking for nice places to eat every evening. We came across Bossa Nova on the Sunset Boulevard and it’s safe to say it was the best place we ate at during our stay! There were so many choices on the menu, the staff were incredibly caring and helpful, amazing value for money and it caters very well for gluten free individuals. Can’t rate it higher! Amazing! Would definitely recommend! If you’re in LA this is a must eat at restaurant!

They were very busy but let us move to an inside table on request. Food came fast and was excellent, and in generous portions. My stroganoff was great, but no greens as a side possible. Dessert was the chocolate cake which was the best we'd ever tasted; we were too full to finish it! Excellent coffee too. Visit with confidence, the noisy location is hardly their fault.

I always make a point to eat at this awesome restaurant. It is casual and delicious. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys a great meal.

My wife and I had a late lunch here on our visit to Hollywood. Easy walk from the main Hollywood Blvd attractions. We split a pizza and ceasar salad. It was all very good and the ceasar salad was great and very large, so glad we split it. Great service and reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

I've been wanting to go to Bossa Nova for years and finally did! I had family in town and decided to check it out. Everything on the menu looked phenomenal. I had the steak with rice and beans and plantains. It was so tasty! My cousin ordered the garlic shrimp which she said was amazing as well! It was also pretty affordable and good bang for your buck! Great staff, food, and customer service! Can't wait to go back!

The food was decent but I honestly didnt love it. My salad was good but the pizza was a little salty. The service was also pretty good. It is great if your in Hollywood late at night but I wouldnt go out my way to eat here.

Whether I'm eating healthy (like a Bossa's salad) or hearty (pasta or pizza), Bossa Nova has consistently good food and an interesting array of options. The fact that it's open late is also a big plus. Love this place!

My boyfriend and I went there in a Saturday night without reservation and it took only 5 min to get a table. The waiter was extremely friendly and efficient. I had file a cavalo and my boyfriend had chicken parmigiana. Both of the dishes were delicious and authentic Brazilian! Tip: if you are not too hungry, it might be a good idea share the plate. The portions are giant!

It's Brazilian, but we can't stop ordering the pasta and pizza because it's sooo good. No reservations and outside seating available

Our friends have eaten here many times! After their ravings; I wanted to go! They always have the same thing! I had shrimp stroganoff, with plantains! I had a special “Brazilian” drink, also! We had excellent, friendly service! We also got stuffed!

We went for dinner one night while our visit in LA. Staff are very friendly, but the food is nothing special. Typical Italian style with a twist of the house. Good food in general! Nothing gave me impression to be excellent with a woow factor! . Food was good, but as any other place can be, that's why I rate it as "Average". We didn't drive to this restaurant. So I don't know how it is to park up around that area. Price: it is very affordable!! I hope this helps Dan XX

Tonight’s experience was less than satisfactory . We asked for moms steak to be well done ( we got rare) , I ordered the traditional chicken ( they brought the wrong dish, beef is not what I ordered). We send moms meat back and they forgot to bring it back (we had to ask a different server, ours was nowhere to be found) and my dish took forever ( I cancelled it aand called it a night. I will not be going here again and I will spread the word

Okay....why does this place have good reviews?? I came here thinking it was good because of its reviews but now I don't understand how it got such a high rating in the slightest... First of all, the outdoor seating is spectacularly uncomfortable. No room, whatsoever, pushed up against a window with no ledges or anything and waiters and people walking past the cramped space next to you. They did, however, move us inside when I asked, which I appreciated. The interior has a pretty nice vibe to it. The service here is also spectacularly slow. It took ages to get our order and then to have the food brought out. And then the food itself revealed that all of that waiting was for nothing. The chicken fingers tasted burnt, they were absolutely far too crispy to enjoy, and the pasta was average at best. The four cheese had a very weird taste to it, I like the one at Olive Garden more than this one, for God's sake. Also, everything here is VERY expensive. Especially considering how sub par the quality of the food is - worse than Olive Garden. $2.55 PER TOPPING on a pizza that's already about $16?! Yeah, NO THANKS. What a waste. I won't be back. I recommend you don't come either.

I thought the location of the restaurant was great. Very well attended. I loved the food. I was very well taken care of. The waiters were super attentive. I recommend. It is worth it.

We stopped in on the recommendation of someone. We are very glad we did. Best meal of our trip. The food was served in nice size portions. We had traditional food, but my picky eater children also enjoyed! The server was very busy, but still stopped by to see if we needed anything quite often. He was very friendly and helpful to the kids to pick out a meal.

Nice place, with respectful and qualified staff! Delicious food and interesting drinks! I recommend!!

We went to Bossa Nova the night our daughter graduated from college. Oh What A Night, the service was spot on. The food was unbelievable in flavor and as everyone mentions portion. This is our 4th time here during trips to visit and we will make this one of our stops every time.

Wanted to dine here however they wouldn’t serve us. Showed late but an hour before they closed. Front of house turned us away while allowing others to get sat. Don’t come here late night. Or don’t come here unless you want to get turned away.

Great food, people, service... so many choices... I took the waiter's advice and ordered the chicken with pasta. there's pizza and so much more...... . I ordered the most fabulous requested dish and it was simply amazing....We had such a large group with celebrity in tow and they took care of us extremely well. We were celebrating my son's 20th birthday... what a beautiful chocolate cake dessert and with singing with the staff.... it was tremendous... thank you! Thanks or taking care of us so well.

Found this on Trip Advisor and everything they say is true!! The food here is AMAZING!!!! We had the Ava ado Toast & chicken embrochette appetizer and both were DELICIOUS!! The coulotte steak was awesome and I LOOOOOVE Their margaritas! Everything is fresh and flavorful!

Great food, excellent service, and very ample portions. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and stop in.

My wife and I spent two weeks in CA and this was the best meal we had. Just off the tourist trail so a lovely mix of locals and visitors of all shapes and sizes. There was a constant queue of people trying to get in all the time we were there and a steady stream of takeaway meals being shipped out. The menu is massive and we were worried that they couldn't possibly cook everything from fresh but how wrong we were. The lasagna matched anything we have had in our numerous trips to Italy. A bizarre mix of dishes and drinks from around the world but somehow it works. I even had a German beer on tap and it was great. Just a shame we discovered this place in our last night or we would have returned.

This place has amazing flavors in their food. I took my husband, and two kids (ages 2 and 6). My picky 2 year old had rice, beans and chicken. My 6 year old had the pasta bologonese. My husband had the Cajun chicken and mashed potatoes. I had the skirt steak with rice, beans and plantains. Literally everything was amazing, and for the first time in awhile we left with only one box of leftovers, even though the portion sizes were good. We scraped the plates clean. I don't live in LA, but this would be a go-to if I did.

After a long day at Universal Studios we found this gem on Sunset Boulevard still open and busy with locals ... a good vibe? Yes! The service was awesome and after a reasonable wait our pizza and pasta was ready! Being our 2nd night in LA it was awesome to eat local to our BNB and soak up this great venue and patrons... then enjoy!

Hubby and I just spent our last night in La and decided to try this place . Food service and atmosphere was all 10/10 if we had found this on our girt night we wouldn’t have eaten anywhere else

Finally got to try this restaurant my friends has been raving about. For starters its valet parking only for 3.50. Good luck if you could find street parking. Came on a saturday evening and since the place was full I thought the food must be really good. Upon entering we were told there was a 25 minute wait to be seated. It's good it only took 10 minutes. My pre school grandkids ordered pizza and I opted for sole with white rice, salsa, beans, fries and plantains. We were so closely seated to each other that we could hardly move without bumping at the other patrons from the next table. Came the pizza and kids said so so. I was expecting the plantains to be good which turned out to be a dud. Kids said I could make better plantains. The saving grace was the white rice. It was really good that I could have that just with the salsa. The fries was good too that the kids ate all of it. There was so much hype about this place that it turned out so dissappointing for me. I would rather go to the Brazillian food stall at Farmer's Plaza next to the Grove.

I like Brazilian food. It was good but the portion was small if you don't eat the huge pile of rice. Chicken was good but not enough of it.

This is a neighborhood restaurant that serves wonderful food. We ate here on a Sunday in June, 2018 based on the TA ratings. We were not disappointed. We shared appetizers of shrimp croquette and another similar one and had mains of grilled shrimp and steak. All of the food was outstanding and the caipirinhas were just right. My only complaint is that eating outside, we were annoyed by people hanging around in front of the restaurant. Next time, we will eat inside.

Got stuck in rush hour traffic and found this place via Tripadvisor ratings. It was as good as most noted. The ambience was a perk too, tranquil, attractive, but upbeat as were the employees. The food was excellent too. Had Alaskan Cod and charbroiled veggues. Tasty and healthy. The salsa and condiments added to perfectly prepared food that was also beautifully presented. This was a treat and one of the reason I love Tripadvisor 's advice. Thanks.

LOTS of good food in a bustling atmosphere at a reasonable price. Why the average rating? When we first arrived the hostess ignored us and others waiting and seated other later arriving parties of the same size. That soured whole dining experience.

I ate here for the first time with 2 of my business associates. We ordered the cheese biscuits, ceviche, grilled shrimp, skirt steak, and pasta and cheese. All were delicious and good portions. The waiter was nice too. The only thing I didn’t notice til after I paid was a kitchen service fee added to the bill.

We stopped off her on the way back to our hotel, we were greeted by a friendly chap and the menu looked varied & had some good veggie choices so in we went. The service was excellent as was the food. There were several vegetarian options which was a pleasant surprise. The menu was varied enough to suit all in our party so just perfect. We actually ended up sitting next to the restaurant owner, who was sampling some of the dishes on the menu, so as we got chatting he invited us to join him in some sampling. The green veggie lasagne was excellent and the strawberry salad was delicious. We tried a couple of the deserts and the pomegranate mousse was just perfect. We had a wonderful meal with great service and would definitely eat here again. The restaurant itself was trendy and had a great ‘feel to it’.

Really nice and good brazilian restaurant. I have taken the picanha steak with plantain and yucca delicious. All was very tasty. I really advice this restaurant for a nice dinner with friends.
Half Brazilian experience
If you want to have a half and expensive experience go ahead. I went yesterday with my family in the hawtorne area and today at Hollywood area, both área de same, long time waiting waitress, some avg, escondidinho not done with dry Brazilian beef, they used other kind of cooked beef. We ordered two of them and they had just one. Today we order passion fruit juice and pudim de leite and they are out of order, no cozinha also. Waitress told me put pressure on owner. Ordered Churrasco and for my surprise came a plate with grilled hard picanha not done kn charcoal, but on gas grill. Plantain banana like a rubber.
