This is a great place for Happy Hour. The fried chicken garlic is delish BUT don't try to go out after eating this it will leave you with funky breath and all the gum in the world can't help you. They have live bands and it's a great place to catch a soccer game. The drinks are yummy and the service can be slow at times but they are always very friendly so it's easier to deal with.

I went there for their announced "festa junina", expecting the typical food and drinks. The girl that greeted us at the door didn't speak Portuguese and when we mention the festa junina she looked at us with a face like we were from another planet. We decided to seat inside because of the heat. There was a good band playing, but it was so loud that I felt like I was in one of those electronic music festival by the music box! No way we could have a conversation or even understand the waiter. So we moved outside, where the music compete with the noise of the rusty fans. Sweating like crazy we decided to try the food and the drinks. My husband and I asked for our Caipirinha passed on a strainer - which is very common in Brasil, if you don't like the pulp. The girl came back put our glasses in front of us and said: we don't serve caipirinhas like that here! The food was pretty good and came really fast. The real problema was the service. We never got plates - we had to get up and get them from the buffet. The guy that brought the food out was in a really bad mood, and I bet if he could he would just throw our food from a distance. Silverware didn't even see them..... Oh, and the dessert! It was delicious.... but it took forever!!!!! And every time I asked about it, the waitress would look at me, shrug her shoulder and say: I don't know what's happening in the kitchen! After waiting for a few minutes for our check, we left and while waiting for our car, we realized that it was actually cooler in the parking lot then where we were sitting with all the fans! Boteco.... nunca mais!

Sporadic visits to this place still reassuring my previous review about Boteco Miami. Friday night, An annoying dúo of musicians playing like if they were in Woodstock, but you stocked with them in a bathroom, so freaking loud that you wish you never were in there. Two Women, the drummer wife dancing on the side of stage, a little girl sleeping on a bench covered with a blanket; And out of the sudden while I was drinking perhaps the only possible positive thing of the night a ( Cerveja Estúpidamente Gelada) I look around and found my self surrounded by only males ; I thought that I was in a gay bar rather than a Bar that used to be fun to go to. And " Please" someone tell them to get rid of the stupid annoying barstools wich are the same height as the counter & weak. A Brasilian Bar with Spaniard Beers and every weird brands?. What a nightmare!. For Rice & Bean in Miami there plenty of places to go. So is Not a Boteco, Not a Luncheonette.

Start with a caipirinha - then I had MOQUECA DO BOTECO $16.95 mahi-mahi fish, cooked shrimp with bell and sweet peppers, onions, tomatoes, dendê oil, coconout milk, served with white rice Sooo good!

Found the restaurant by reading top recommended Brazilian restaurants in Miami, as it did not disappoint. Food, fresh and very flavorful, outstanding drinks and wonderful service. Love everything about our experience. Deliciousness!

Good quality food and liquor ! Awesome service friendly people good vibes. You will not be disappointed worth the money!

Good food, fun casual atmosphere, live music. Off the beaten path but well worth the detour. Affordable prices. Passion fruit mousse is to die for

Nice atmosphere, good caipirinhas, friendly staff. They have live music some nights and ladies night on Tuesdays.

Boteco is a must stop by if you are in Miami.....fun bar with traditional Brazilian food and drinks like the caipirinha.

As a Brazilian I recommend this place, especially for their coxinhas (chicken croquette) simply because they are great! They come in portions with 5 units. They have feijoadas on Saturdays and Sundays in "all you can eat" buffet, and their feijoada is also very good. I didn't try the "Moqueca" yet (this is a fish stew with coconut and palm oil, typical from the state of Bahia), but I would definitely go for it! The restaurant decor is very interesting, and reminds me of some "country-style" restaurants typical from Minas Gerais.

I was last there 8 years ago but the memories were good about both the company and the food. This time, even though the company was good the food was just ok. The cheese bread we had were a bit undercooked and the cod fish croquettes were ordinary. The meat was eatable but it’s marinade must have been water and salt. Most likely I will not return soon. Overall it was a disappointment.

Excellent appetizers that will feel you up. Decor is disappointing but the food is not. Service is slow but personnel is really nice. Worth a visit and not too expensive.

This stuff was amazing. Gluten free bread naturally with tapioca flour was a favorite for us all. My husband and I shared the grilled steak and white rice as well as the sausage. Everything was great. We ate there twice during our 3 night stay in the Miami area. Very loud at night but still ok for kids.

Boteco is the best. I come here all the time. I always enjoy the live music on the weekends. And like that I can always grab the late night eats. Yuni makes the best strawberry 🍓 caipirinhas they are my favorite. Great spot to catch sports as well. I go here at least once or twice a month.

The word Boteco means a simple neighborhood bar with hearty food, and that's what it is. We had buffet of feijoada ($20) and it was good, although we missed the brazilian way of cooking (collard greens are usually cut very thin and cooked with garlic, torresmo is made out of pork skin, ribs are usually smoked, etc). But what bothered me was the service. At 1pm the buffet wasn't served, people were impatient waiting. There were different kinds of feijoada, but no labels for us to differentiate. Our waiter didn't bring cutlery, forgot our drinks, disappeared when we wanted to pay. The food is good, but the service needs to be better.

While definitely off the tourist path, this place offers great food and entertainment on some nights (understand samba dancing). They have great specials - feijoada on Saturdays, and grilled chicken Sundays!

Horrible service. Took forever to get my food. Not worth the wait. Owner very disrespectful & arrogant.

I called on Feb 14 around 4pm to reserve a table for 5 ppl at 5pm. including my senior mother (81) years old. We arrived and the place, it was pretty empty. The waitress assigned took our order, she delivered the drinks except for a lemonade. We ordered (3) appetizers (same one) she delivered the first one, we asked her about the other two she replied Oh... ok... (15) minutes later she came with ONE only, again missing the third one, we asked and she said "it's coming"... the lemonade for my mother arrived 20 minutes later. The third appetizer arrived after 25 minutes...in the meanwhile we ordered the meat just (2) orders of picanha....we waited almost 1 hour, I asked the waitress for the managers office, she replied, the kitchen is very slow and took me to the managers office (Giussepe). I explained the situation and he said " really ? don't worry I'll take care of it, he went to the kitchen and when he asked for our orders the cook told him the order was place (30 mins ago)... he came to our table without FACE MASK and complaint we just ordered the meat, and he was short on staff and so on... When the meat arrived mine was completely COLD my moms was OK. I informed Giussepe about my meat temperature, he said "Oh really"? When the bill came they included everything, Obviously I didn't pay for mine... I have been visiting this place for the last 5 years and NEVER ever had experienced such a terrible service. Not sure they sold the place to a new owner or what but I would never going back again...

I dine her last night ,great happy hour prices and i loved the decor its very different then the usually has personality and character . I had very quick ,attentive , and knowledgeable server it is too bad I cant remember her name long black curly hair with a great accent and voice . I order a fish dish was delicious and tasty and very fresh.I will be visiting this establishment on a regular.

Rustic Brazilian restaurant/bar, second time we visit, we like the picanha beef they use. This time we were there for the X-Burger, nice thick burger, the garlic french fries add extra taste. We had shredded beef and codfish croquttes as appetizers...both YUMMY! I wish I was more daring and try the typical Brazilian food (next time). We went early on a Saturday evening and could tell it was going to get really busy and LOUD, as a band was setting up a few feet from us. Service was good, but servers tended to stand around talking to each other a lot, I hate when I have to call servers over. We had the 2 appetizers, 3 X-burger meals, 2 beers..total came to $92, including the 20% tip they automatically included. They have onsite $10 valet parking. Overall good experience.

Great food, buffet, feijoda only on Saturday. Best ever yuka fried in my life, so light. Ambiance fun seam a like low class bar restaurant but see the parking lot with the cars to die for. Really good drinks, price unbeatable for eat as much as you want 😱 Will take my family and go back even take out.

Disappointing meal and overpriced. Service was ok, but the rest was pretty dismal. Stay away. There are far better options in Miami

Such a pleasure to dine here. The decor and ambience is great for a relaxed meal. The well trained staff are quietly around appearing as soon as you need something. The chef/owner came and chatted with us, made friends with my 3 yr old grandson which I thought was a thoughtful gesture. The food is one of the best I've eaten in a long time. Each time someone has been there, I've heard them say nothing negative. My only disappointment was the Churros. Please make them a bit thicker!

We were there for a light dinner and had mostly appetizers, all good. The service is good and the atmosphere very Brazilian. They include a 18% tip in the bill even if there are only two of you. Stay alert or you'll be tipping way too much.

Been to Boteco a few times for dinner with my wife. The food is good and the price is very reasonable for Miami. It is a relaxed setting with in door and out door seating. They have a DJ on some nights and it is a good environment to just grab drinks as well. Friendly staff!

Besides the fact that its 5 minutes from home, the place seriously has the one of the best (if not the best) caipirihna in town. The atmosphere is laid back but come Tuesday night ... ufff it's something else. Enjoy a little dancing while sipping on complimentary caipiroska (vodka, w/ purchase of a meal).

The title says it all. Having lived in Brazil I really missed this national dish. I was visiting friends in Miami and they took me to the Boteco. Authentic Brazilian personnel and the Feijoada was very good. It can get a bit crowded but that's the price of success ;-) Their Pasteis are also exquisite!

This is my second time at Boteco on 916 NE 79th street. DO NOT go to the one called Boteco Copacabana in south beach. It's not the same . It's worth the 25 dollar cab ride for a great meal. Start with the famous cheese balls, followed by the garlic shrimp as an appetizer enough for two. Then The mothers plate. With either chicken, steak or fish . It comes with white rice, black beans, and salad. Classic brazilian dish. .Black beans are delicious just like in Brazil. We were 4 Adults. We had 2 pitchers of caipirinhas $35.00 each. Gave us almost 6 glasses each pitcher .Our bill was $200.00 including tip, not enough room for dessert. Very casual place , shorts not a problem. Can eat inside or out. This will definetly be a place I visit each time I am in Miami. ENJOY.

This is one of my favorite places in Miami. Whenever I go there, it is like a Brazilian "Cheers" or something familial and fun like that eponymous sitcom from TV Land. Literally: everybody knows your name, yet they say it with a slight Portuguese accent. I have been to Brazil, like many of us Miamians, but there are few locations in The Magic City that truly take you back to that beautiful , and unique South American country yet Boteco does that.

Just came here for the feijoada and was terrible cold and no meat ☹️guys feijoda need to have rabo , orelha , joelho , pe , língua if you guys don’t use this at least cook together for the flavour , no management any don’t recommend this place last time I come here

The parking at this place can be a little challenging. You can either pay to park which is a little more than I would like to pay myself. Or you can find parking on the street parking on the street can take you a little bit of time to fine. I find it a little peculiar that this place charges their clientele to park. Other than that it's a nice little place. It's a fun place the music is cool the atmosphere is cool the people seem very happy. Even the stuff seems to be quite happy everybody has smiles on their faces. I didn't get the opportunity to eat but what I saw it looked quite good. Andand the people I was with seemed quite happy with the food they order. Course they have a bar and you can get the famous caipirinha. Be careful they can be quite strong. I do hope to return to try some of the food. If you do visit let me know about your experience.

We had a party of 9 people. Great service. They do separate bill. We are Brazilians and we ordered different kinds of appetizers, such as, pastel de queijo, bolinho de bacalhau, bolinho de mandioca com carne seca, fried mandioca, escondidinho de camarao. Every single option was very delicious and authentic. My favorites were bolinho de mandioca com carne seca and escondidinho de camarao. The caipirinha was great too. And the price was very reasonable. We seated in a lateral area outside, which was not bad. But if you have a chance to stay inside, you may enjoy a samba class if you are lucky.

The staff goes out of its way to invite you to taste their amazing food. The hostess, Bruna, made sure we enjoyed our dinners and was happy to make dinner recommendations. Their fish and shrimp dish was fantastic and I absolutely loved their shrimp in coconut and yuca sauce. Fried yuca was also delicious and a nice way to start the meal. Highly recommend.

We had couchsurfing meeting there. Was fooooool of people, lively and simply. The bar is nice, big screen for sports and for simply social life. Everyday something different, I can see on pic. Free salsa classes, music, all you can eat etc.

Wonderful service, good quality, great food, and a nice atmosphere. As you walk in you already know your about to have a good time.

Sujo, mal cuidado. This place should have been closed long ago. A bus bar in Miami. If the kitchen is dirty as the Miracle Bar ngm still have died. Even the bartender couldn't do it. Run away from this business if you car about for life.

The place is lovely, it is divided in two areas, we sat in the area where the music was being played, and we were unable to have a conversation (our choice to stay there). The food was OK. but certainly nothing to shout about. It is Brazilian cafe style food.

I ordered a burger with a side, the burger was good, unfortunately it arrived about 15 minutes after every one else's food. I agree with a previous reviewer the service it's so poor because since they include the tip in the bill they know they don't have to work for it, but if the service was better the servers will get a better tip.

Best caipirinhas in town. Nice atmosphere and a good feeling of an authentic Brazilian bar. They have valet parking available, but you can also find parking spots on the street. We tried the chicken hearts and of course picanha (top sirloin) and feijoada ( typical Brazilian meal with bean soup, pork, sausage, side of rice and farofa. They had a nice live music to celebrate the Brazilian carnival and it did not disappoint. Definitely going back there when in Miami.

Im singing Fridays night there, loving it, loving all.Boteco Has amazing Group working and making amazing Food like picanha, Caipirinha, and more..

If you are looking to listen live Brasilian music and have fun with friends, this place is great. They have different kind of Brasilian bands every night from samba to pop rock. But that ends there. Food and drinks are bad. Stick to a known beer brand, and good luck with food. I haven't tried one dish that was decent.

No, it is not fancy at all. Just simple and delicious Brazilian dishes. Start with so e typical appetizers (choose pastel, you won't regret), an then go for the picanha or for the strogonoff. The only thing is: come on guys, we don't eat strogonoff with french fries... You all know that! By the way, if you go there in a weekend, thy the barbecue chicken or even the feijoada!

We went to see the FIFA World Cup with friends. Had a awesome time, order the coxinha de frango de pollo, capirinha drinks and the aperitivo de picanha everything was delicious. Most come back to hear the live musician avaliable on Saturday.

The best experience I ever had a soft floor that the best Brazilian food best atmosphere the greatest service ever

Wow what an night! A group of my friends and I had a great experience here. The food and the service was exceptional. Thais our server is simply the best. She made sure everything was timed perfectly and our drinks were filled. I highly recommend this place and make sure to ask for a Thais!

Pretty good authentic Brazilian fare, nice staff in a pretty quiet but urban area in NE Miami. But I still am baffled why thet charge you to park in their own lot. Walking from a close by public parking space next time

Unless you are in the mood for a Latin feel, skip it. Food is generally ok. Brazilians who are home sick will certainly love it. However, if you are one of those who praise the truth, skip it again. I ordered fish and asked if the beans were cooked without any meat. Attendants said it was vegetarian. First strike. When the fish arrived, mahi-mahi, it tasted like a steak right out of the grill. When asked if it was cooked in the same "place" as the meats, the answer from the kitchen was "no" Fish is always cooked in a different spot away from the meat." / Strike number 2. One lie is enough to me. Two lies? By the way, I was charged for a typical Brazilian soft drink "guarana" that never made it to the "brown bag". Strike # 3. No thanks. Skip it for ever!

Casual and easy going. Great meat and the caipirinha. Voçe vai voltar...

That place is something else. Though the atmosphere is nice, service is horrible. My husband and I had to wait about 15 minutes for our drinks. 1 bottled beer, one Caipirinha. We received the wrong cocktail. Further, we ordered an appetizer and 2 entrées. They totally forgot about the appetizer and only brought our entrees. We said fine, then let's just have the entrees. Both our orders were messed up. I ordered beef, but got chicken. My husband ordered fish, but got beef. Even the sides were messed up. They must have simply delivered the wrong food to the wrong table, or the waitress is brainless. After we ate (i barely touched the chicken since it was dry even though it had massive amounts of sauce),they brought my husband's real order, the fish, but no sides. Well, too late! This place is a mess in terms of service, we were never asked if we wanted refills, and had to chase the waitress to get another beer and a water. Really bad first impression, I doubt we'll ever go back. Oh, and they charge you for the tip up front. I wouldn't have paid a penny, but my husband never leaves without a 20% tip, so we left that on the table and went home. Not a fun dinner!

This Brazilian bar has 2 ambiences, one indoors and an outdoor patio. It offers typical food from this country, and of course, a wide selection of caipirinhas. We suggest you go there to have drinks with friends, listen so Brazilian music or watch a soccer game; food is nothing special. Miami still awaits for a great place that makes us feel in any bar at Rio de Janeiro.

The feijoada!!1 my gosh!!! the best of Miami. If you want to know if a brazilian restaurant serves a fantastic brazilian food, look around the customers....If there are nosty brazilians eating there, you are garanteed!!. This restaurant is a brazilian refugeee!!!! I recomned you try the cocadas!!!!

I went there with some friends of Brazil. We was expecting to eat a good Brazilian food. But forget about it... it’s a nasty place where you can’t even talk to the people of your table, the music was to loud. So we ordered a plate called Prato de Mae. After 50 minutes, before asking many times, our waiter brought us our order. Not satisfied, the food came cold. If you want to eat a good portion of food, that’s the wrong restaurant. The plate is served in a small amount of rice and beans. Not only that but the size of the beef was unbelievable. There are a lot of Brazilians restaurant better than this specifically one. I’ll never go back there... waste of time!

A good place to eat a Brazilian Feijoada, they have a lot of Brazilian dishes ,the Feijoada Buffet is good ,friendly people

Visited here on a culinary tour. The restaurant is located on the pedestrian walkway portion of 79th Street. We sat outdoors and enjoyed the crowds passing by. We were served a cashew juice drink which was unique and very delicious. We also got a croquette which was average. I would have liked to explore other parts of their menu.

This place is great! It's different than a lot of the more touristy churrascaria places that have popped all over the U.S. We went on a Saturday and enjoyed their Feijoada special. It was all delicious! Also enjoyed a pitcher of caipiroskas and pao de quejo. Yum! We'll be back.

My husband and I live part time in SoBeach and we ventured out for a late lunch. Came across Boteco. We used to live in Brasil and had recently been missing the food so this was very timely. It was fantastic!! They had a feijoao buffet which is very typical Brazilian. But since I had been missing the kibe and coxinha de frango, that’s what I had and it did not disappoint . It was just like being in Brasil and we will definitely be going back to Boteco for that buffet. The service was great and the outdoor ambiance was casual and comfortable. The only reason I didn’t give the 5 stars is because there was no signage advising the valet was not free. Im happy to pay it, but I tried to leave with just tipping the guy and it was then he advised it was not free. With this I will still go back and gladly pay the valet fee.

Finally a nice Brazilian spot in Miami. Do not expect any frills, this is a real Boteco call and ask for the live music hours and you will taste the real thing. Cool spot.

Perfect please for enjoying in family. The food is perfect and the customer service is great. The bastender was sensational

the best place in the market as a bar every one well love it best best best every one well love it they place well come back to be the best ever in miami

If you want to visit Brazil without leaving Miami, go to Boteco. Staff speaking Portuguese, authentic Brazilian food and very friendly atmosphere. Particularly worthwhile is the lunch time when the manager/barman Marco Antonio directs the "show." Delicious caipirinhas, fantastic appetizers (do not forget to order the pasteis), and truly Brazilian fish plate (muqueca) and grilled churrasco (picanha). Food, drinks and friendly staff make the place a true success despite of not very nice neighborhood.

Good place, excellent service. We spend an excellent time with friends drinking Caipiriña.We loved it !!! It' s about Brazilian cuisine and traditions.

Wowww what service in the middle of so much busy time!!! I would like to tell everyone who never been in this bar, you should come and enjoy the atmosphere, food and the drinks made by Andre Postale, one of the best Bartender who I have been meet. The bar it was full of people, mostly Brazilians during the final game brasil x Peru, and of course because we need to support our country, but still they was able to offer the best service ever once I may imagine more the 700 people it was there. Again one the best Brazilian bar and restaurant in town. Love this place and I will always be there.

I went several times and the last 2 times I went the quality of the food and sizes of the portions went down. last time I went the servers were busy and a person claiming to be the manager she took our order. When we were done eating she was drinking at the bar with a friend never ask how the food was waited a long time for our check and we were ready to walked out until 20 minutes later someone else came with the check. The food is good but service is terrible. I wouldn't go again.

Laid back bar with good food; extensive patios although it's on a busy causeway access road (79th Street). Went with a friend who lives in the neighborhood and goes there often. Had an amazing Brazilian mahi mahi dish with onions and peppers in a cream sauce, similar to vodka sauce more more savory. We chose to eat it with their fried yuca and feijoada, which is a mix of beans, shredded yuca cooked with bacon. Wonderful. It's a favorite of many of my Miami friends.

I was missing brazilian food and drinks so I went with my boyfriend for a night out at Boteco in Miami. We drove from Fort Lauderdale and the place was busy on a Sunday night. Maybe I was just unlucky that day, but we had the worst service and I had to leave without drinking even a glass of water after one hour there. Hostess sat us on the "outside area", where a LOT of people were smoking. We tried so sit somewhere else far from the smoke, but there was no other place to go. Inside was packed and also really loud. So we first ordered two caipiroskas (caipirinha made with vodka instead of cachaca) and the fried codfish croquette appetizer. Within two minutes the food was on the table, but not the drinks. I really don't like when the food comes before the drinks, but I was ok with it because the place was busy (I've worked as a waitress for several years, so I understand one can be slammed sometimes). After we ate one third of the appetizer, my caipiroska came up. And it was a clear drink, tasted really strong, almost no limes in the glass. Couldn't drink it. Sent it back. Waiter said the bartender fixed it, but he just added water. I asked for a beer instead. We finished the food and my boyfriend still didn't have his caipiroska (we ordered at the same time) nor I had a beer. Waiter came back after a while and said he forgot what kind of beer I ordered. It totally killed my mood to be there. I told him to cancel the beer and my boyfriend's caipiroska and just bring me a water and the check. My water came and there was some greens (parsley? cilantro?) in it. I understand if you mess up once, but absolutely everything went wrong for us. Had a really bad experience and will not go back. If you decide to go, beware that 15% gratuity is included in the check. This place is ok if you are a brazilian who hasn't been home for many many years and forgot what the real deal is. Otherwise, skip it!

Great sevice Great food A fantastic atmosphere Will be defiently going back there the next time im in Miami Obligado ! ❤️

I love this place. In addition to a great Feijoada, they have one of best brazilian typical "coxinha". I highlight recommend everyone to try.

A nice Brasilian restaurant with live music from Brasil. We had our diner that it was okay but we had a nice time listen to sounds from Bahia Brasil and watching the Brasilians dancing to the samba.Overall we had a good night out me my stepson and daughter (they are from Brasil and they where happy to be with their people.

Wonderful meal and great hospitality. We had the mixed platter with meat and seafood! Thank you to authentic Brazilian Steph for all her help!

These positive reviews must be from friends and family of the new ownership trying to rebuild the Bar's reputation. The reality is that poor service, sub-par food quality and lack of hygiene has dragged this place to the floor. Owners need to change the players if you want to have different results, bartender, manager, etc...seem to be running their own business without customer service in mind, all it matters is the included gratuity.

I would recommend this restaurant. The food was very good and the service was fantastic. A couple hours after eating there, I was walking down the street across from the restaurant and our waiter recognized me and was yelling hello and happy birthday to me.

I come here once a week maybe twice if I'm up for it (which I usually am). Everything here is delicious. The atmosphere is unique. They usually have live music too! You have to try their aperitivo de picanha-top sirloin sautéed in onions. I can't get myself to order anything else as an appetizer. It's my favorite. Definitely check this place out if you want authentic Brazilian food.

Food was good, but the experience this time did not meet our expectations. There were flies all over our table, maybe their garbage was full. They have a serious problem with that. The other negative point was that they allow their customers to smoke at their tables, which of course bothered us. Not sure if we will go back there again.

We happened to be in Miami on Mardi Gras and friends too us to Boteco because they had heard it was a fun place with lots of atmosphere. They heard right. The place was hopping when we arrived around 9 pm, but a hostess led us through the crowd standing in front of the bandstand to a table in the adjacent room, which was only a little more quiet. Before we finished our meal -- which was delicious -- the party had overflowed into the space around us. It was a happy, friendly crowd so we didn't mind. Plus the place makes great drinks, by the pitcher or the glass. Since it's Brazilian, we ordered steak. Our arrived exactly as ordered, accompanied by both fries and beans and rice. The check was reasonable and we had a great time.

My experience is based only on the* Bar Side*: After several attempts and observation to Managnent, Previews reviews etc ; It is kind of sad and big disappointment that Boteco has just become another "Dive Bar" in Miami with aptitude & pretentious that it is a cool Tropical venue of Brasilian Happiness & Culture ambassador. Last night I give it another try and one more time was a fiasco; Did arrive no one greet you as you walk in, I seat down at the Bar in their new odd Stool chairs that are almost as high as the counter top, perhaps they were bought at a flea market or thrift store, who knows?. Was ignored by the Bartender as He turned his back on me( Bar was almost empty No Excuse for that). The musician performing was so loud and bad that it was impossible to listen to, it was like a depressing howl with not understanding lyrics( Not because the Portuguese!;They used to have outstanding musicians & performances in this place, it seems all gone, As I did when I just walked away... Boteco is not for me and I doubt it will be worth for everybody else... Keep the restaurant side at least Rice & Beans Miami relate to it.

Meat is under cook when i ask it well done, rice not cook over all i dont like that place and this is my last time going there

Fan only, no AC. Neighborhood hangout for Brazilians. Good food especially if want to try Brazilian. From the menu or outdoor buffet. Valet parking only - as far as we could discover. Friendly but slapdash service.

I have been here a few times with my spouse and it was great place for lunch, caipirinhas, and a good time. We came on Sundays and knew the service, food, and cocktails were going to be great. You actually feel like you in Brazil with the atmosphere and theme. The Picanha is juicy and tastey alone, but the STROGONOFF with picanha melts in your mouth with every bite. I woud recommend all the Tapas because they are all soooo good. Plus Boteco even has parking since its secluded off Biscayne Blvd.

overpriced diner for a very poor quality ! Service was very bad. We waited one hour for our food. It is a tourist trap. Keep away.

I was with my family in Miami last weekend and we were coming back from Miami Beach looking for a place to have dinner, we drove by and said oh what the heck let's try Brazilian food. I'm so glad we did, the staff was very friendly and the food was delish we all had the picanha and I totally recommend it, plenty food.

Don’t go there if you are looking for a real and delicious brazilian food! I went there with some friends. I’ve order a linguiça acebolada with fried yuca, the food was very OILY! I couldn’t sleep, I had to throw up that food! NEVER AGAIN!

As a Brazilian I don’t recommend this restaurant. I order a Moqueca and my daughter a Beef Strogonoff. The Moqueca came watery. Didn’t have coconut milk or dendê oil and the fish was frozen not fresh. I just eat because I was hungry. But left me a after taste I never had. The strogonoff looked good but the meet usely is a filet mignon or a prime meat. This one was a beef stew and the sauce was far from strogonoff. For dessert I tried a Passion Fruit Mousse very popular in Brasil and so easy to make. Even the desert was far away a passion fruit mousse. They need a new chef. If you want to sell a Brazilian food must be Brazilian.🇧🇷. Unfortunately just horrible. 07/16/2021.

Was looking for a typical Brazilian spot, and this one exceeded my expectations. Excellent food, excellent music and outstanding service!

This was by far the best find of our vacation! I was on Spring Break and did not know where to eat! Our group just happen to walk upon Boteco! Best Brazilian food I have had in awhile! Staff extremely friendly and helpful on what to order! Environment was lively, upbeat, and just positive all around! I would love to go back! Absolutely love this place!

We went to Boteco on a Saturday afternoon so that we could partake in the traditional Feijoada buffet that is offered weekly. We were not disappointed and in fact it was every bit as good as the Feijoada that we had during our last visit to Rio. The atmosphere is lively and fun with both indoor and outdoor seating.

Great atmosphere and delicious Brazilian bar-b-que. Very friendly waitress and staff. Sangria was good too!

Our family went to this bar (yes is great for kids too) twice in our vacation. If you love Brazilian bar/snack food and beverage this is going to be your place. The food is perfect! The location very relaxed. The neighbor is not the best but they have a fenced private parking lot that is very safe (at night they even have valet parking). During the day it is relaxed and after 7:00 people arrive dressed up. We live in Northern Virginia and love to have a place like this....

One more time I have to say how this place has changed for better. Incredible food, great atmosphere, nice people and watch the game over there it was the best choice I made! Thank you for the great service and for the nice experience as usual.

They carry authentic Brazilian "tapas" (mostly fried) and a couple of typical dishes - including the best beef crocketes I've had outside of Brazil. Except for the pasteis which were a bit too greasy the food was good. Friendly service, good and generous caipirinhas, uninviting location, funky decor (actually quite similar to what you will find in simple neighborhoods of Brazilian cities), live music ( good players - atrocious singer) and $5 parking on site. Fun to go with a group!

Used to be a Brazilian place, not anymore. Turned into another cheap Latin place in Miami… Horrible service, super loud annoying music. Just a nightmare!

We had to escape from a thunderstorm and found shelter in Boteco. We had coffee and deserts, everything was good, the service excellent and the place very charming. Next time, we will have dinner!

Very taste food ,friendly service,Brazilian regional dishes,Brazilian drinks like caipirinha, fried yuca,Feijoada.

Went there with friends. Food is good. We had: fried cassava, coxinhas, pastel with meat and another one with cheese, sirloin and fresh pineapple with mint juice. All was very good and tasty. I do recommend this place.

great music great food i love this place , it is the feel of Brazil you should try it , they have music 3 days week live band.

Lunch : Not great service, but ok. Our food was average good . Because they don’t have a coffee, we have to stop at coffee place.

Best Brazilian fare I've had, delicious variety to tantalize your taste buds. There is something for everyone, huge wall to wall screens, plus two projectors outside in the covered patio area. Awesome abeyance, they even have live music on weekends & friendly staff. They’ve even got a pool table!

This is as authentic as it gets in dropping a taste of Brazil smack in the middle of the Magic City. We certainly have our large expat Brazilian community - and with their sense of style, grace and good looking boys and girls bringing us cachaca and bikini waxes - we luv 'em! Thank the Goddess of Ipanema for Boteco, a little bastion of Brazilian love where a lot of the aforementioned ex-pats like to hang out and where the caparinha drinks are pretty darn good and wonderfully economical!

Amazing! Food was great, and the wait staff was so friendly and authentic. Cristine was our waitress and she made some great recommendations and made us feel like family. 10/10 would recommend.

From the outside Boteco looks like a little hole in the wall but this place is HUGE; but with a friendly beachy-cabana home feel to it. Great spot for groups because they have plenty of seating for large groups. They have a great Happy Hour with Caipirinha at $4 each! My favorite is the Passion Fruit Caipirinha, which are tasty and nicely strong. Beer bucket 5 bottles for $15. And there is often live music happening on weekend nights. I’ve asked the native Brazilian’s I’ve met there and they all say the food is very authentic everyday Brazilian food. It’s not fancy just Brazilian home-style goodness. Every dish my friends and I have ordered there has been excellent and in huge portions. Most of my friends order the Picahna (steak) appetizer which comes chopped on a hot grill and can be made into a meal by making it a “Mother’s Plate” it’s accompanied by the fried yucca and farofa (yucca flour). And rice and black beans. One of my personal favorites the Coxinha de Frango are funny shaped Brazilian croquettes that are made of yucca flour dough outside with tender juicy chicken inside. Also the Filé de Frango (grilled chicken breast) come with a side of rice and black beans, and an order of the fried yucca or farofa. In short, Boteco is a great place to have drinks and eat some good food. This is not a fancy dinner place. It’s like a Brazilian gastro pub or tapas bar which happens to serve bigger plates too.

Great authentic Brazilian food and reasonably priced drinks! Fun atmosphere and excellent service!! The outdoor patio is fun and the music is on point. I will be sure to come back the next time I’m in the area!

This is the place to have a caipirnha, picana steak and other awesome Brazilian food. Love it! The yucca fries are awesome, the chicken and codfish croquettes are delectable. If you're on a diet, you might need to go somewhere else, but don't deprive yourself of great food, fun, casual ambiance and live music at least once! (If you have kids, bring them, they just run around and play, plus, it's noisy enough, you won't hear them ;-) )

I was driving from the beach with some friends and saw this bar and decided to check it out... Wao! Delicious food, great environment and the service very attentive!! Ive never been to Brasil but it was just like a bar in Brasil my friend said! Im very happy and ever since i go almost every month!!

Caipirinhas and food are so god but service is sooo slow and indifferent, maybe because the tip is included, servers don't have to work for it? i don't know.

I love this place for the service, food, and price! worth it every single penny :-) Real Brazilian dishes and drinks. The environment is good too. Inside is live music and AC and outside is hot of course you are in Miami.

Bad service but good entertainment on the weekends . Feel good food. Lots of singing and good beer. Good place for laid back chill.

It’s a typical Brazilian food restaurant, despite the high price, the food is great and also the people and environment ! Worth a try!

The food was ok , nothing special but at the same time no really bad . What made this experience so bad was the attitude of my waiter , a young girl with glasses , her service was very superficial but anyways I didn’t care so much because I was spending time with my family , what happened and made this experience so bad it was that she came up to my car in the parking with pure arrogance yelling that I owed her 1 $ !!!! I want put clear that the bill she gave to me included 17/18$ tips for a total of 107$; I left one dollar less only because otherwise I had to withdraw some money for just 1$ I want remember that tips are not mandatory in Florida and waiters should deserve it providing a good service and first of all no one can bother a family in a parking for just one dollar , that was completely without respect and made horrible this experience . I used to work in restaurant for years , the respect for the clients is a prerogative !

The restaurant was very nice. It was very hot and the A/C was turned off. Also the music was extremely loud so we could't listen even the waitress. Other than that it was very good. The feijoada was splendid!

First we had to wait for 25 minutes before the first dish arrived. Then another 10 minutes for the next quest. Finally when my steak arrived it was well done instead of medium. They brought me a new one and again it was well done. Never again😖

Its oficial, ill never go back to Boteco anymore. Its not because of the heat or their stubbornness of not getting better accommodations for guests, its mainly related to service. Its a insult adding gratuity and having such a horrible service. It starts on the waiters presentation, their outfits to their complete unknowledge of the menu items. Forget about the water, they just don't care about you at all. I've been there too many times and have been served by all of the staff. The only good waiter left a couple of months ago, shame, he was definitely your best waiter. Bring back the Portuguese waiter and youll be performing so much better. I hope that with this review you can finnally take a step into improvoving your lousy service, because the bad reviews keep coming and you do nothing about it.

This place was recommended by a local Brazilian that lives in the area. We are Brazilians too and were looking for a less Americanized/touristy place. The food is okay, huge portions and they don't really tell you that. You could easily share most of the plates. The taste is good, meat is succulent and tender, yucca is great, soft, crispy. Caipirinha at $4 during happy hour, that's a good value! However for a family of 2 adt, 1 chd 1 baby spending $75 for a dinner in a simple brazilian restaurant like this is a lot. When we were here the restaurant had no power, so it was hot inside and no light to see it properly. Not sure why they stayed opened. We'll be back, hopefully for a better experience.

A few Caipirinhas! A few beers! Great food. This is a casual, almost rustic experience. Parking is an issue. We visited on a weekday, mid-afternoon. Still, it was busy with two families, probably tourists, and a selection of probable regulars enjoying their favorite food and drink. With drink, of course, we enjoyed Bolinho De Bacalhau fried codfish croquette excellent Mandioca Frita fried yuca Our favorite! Coxinha De Frango chicken croquettes with catupiry cheese (last taste of catupiry was 1983 French fries- great home-made Shared one passion fruit mousse for dessert, excellent-memorable

Specially for brazilian people who misses home (and food), is a treasure! The food is very tasteful and the prices are reasonable. Besides, it`s found in a very cosy street, with many trees, where you can stay watching people and tourists walking around...

Like being in Brasil! Great staff and fantastic food!!! I loved it! Went there for lunch, it was awesome! Had great appetizers and the picanha was cooked perfectly!! Great for a "long lunch" or a quick bite!

Great live music!!! Fun vibrant scene with impeccable service and amazing food!!!! Chicken croquettes are yummy! Burger is best I've ever had! Steak is great and build your own salad is great healthy option. If your in Miami visiting or live here Boteco is a must go! If your looking for a fun time and great food, Boteco is the place to go! Let me not forget to mention the drinks are fabulous! Caipirinha yum:)

Every night is a party there! Ok at least for the 3 times I went! Tuesdays are ladies night so ladies drink caipiroska (mix of lime, sugar and vodka) for free. The crowd is brazilian and the food amazing. I fell at home there since I'm from Portugal therefore I'm used to brazilians and we do speak the same language. I know most of the songs that play there since they go from samba to funk and all in between. They also have specials on Saturday and Sundays...one of those days is all you can eat feijoada (a dish with black beans) for lunch. The food on a regular day goes from typical pasteis de bacalhau, moqueca and picanha. The picanha is good..if you like medium raw go for it! It tastes much more like picanha! If you have ever been to Brazil and ate picanha (the real one) there...of course the one a Boteco is not the original one but for the price and for Miami it's pretty good! Besides brazilian typical food they decided to include some other dishes on the menu and they've decided to go for the less common ones. What I mean is, most restaurants in the US, even if they are Brazilian, Portuguese, Polish, etc they will also have hamburgueres, probably to make sure that those who don't know the food and are afraid to try have something to eat. At this place they don't have that BUT they have caprese salad that is awesome (it's not a meal on its own though!) and also carpaccio (that's a full meal) that is awesome! If you love meat try also the 'espetinhos'. Oh and of course! Caipirinha is the typical brazilian drink and they do it perfectly (they make the mixture individually, not as a bulk so its perfect!).

Boteco is a cantina off the beaten path with a lively, open-air, and very welcoming atmosphere. It was easy for these visitors to find and had plenty of off-street parking. The service was friendly and helpful with understanding the menu. Big screen TV was showing the NFL playoff game on this Sunday night We had a couple of caipirinhas, shared the CAMARÃO ALHO E OLEO and the PRATO DA MÃE with chicken – plenty of food for the two of us. The drinks were delicious, full of freshly thin-sliced limes. The shrimp were on the bland side, and the chicken in the prato was too dried out for my taste. The meal was satisfying but not great. The highlight of the meal was the flan we shared ... creamy and delicious!

This place is awesome, our waitress Christine was super helpful, great food, music, and overall very fun vibe and atmosphere. Food and drinks were delicious and would highly recommend!!

Nothing to complain The place is full of good Brazilian music and dishes. Very simple environment but full of spirit and beautiful girls. Nothing to complain if you like a relax and family atmosphere.

After several comments and reviews about Boteco Miami, it got worst... In specific to entertainment or live music in this case. They had abandoned their calendar on their website, claimed that has done remodeling and all I noticed is the stage removed and added a piano,no microphone for music and singers, last night it was like a crying CATS samba Trio Horrible, and they just to be great musicians. But I guess the thrill is gone! For them No more great live music at this place,Bar Brands incomplete , and Rice & Beans with sides?Well you can get that everywhere in the Greater Miami.

I lived in São Paulo for eleven years. This is the only bar outside of Brazil capable of making me feel as if I were back "home". The beer is cold, the waitresses friendly, and the food totally Brazilian. There is no pretense, just a great authentic ambiance.
Excellent Brazilian cuisine!
Went to this place with some Brazilian friends and we had a blast. Good music, nice deco and great food. Service was very good and friendly by staff. One of the few good restaurants in the area. Widely recommended.
