Wow. Ok. Im a bit picky. I like fresh veggies and good meat. This place was a very happy surprise for me. The menu was awesome. I eat Paleo but my buddies like their carbs. We were all exceptionally happy and we were all struggling because there were many things we all wanted to order. Quality was top notch. Service good. Check this little place out. Take a look at their menu. Great location along the river as well.

While staying at Hotel Rose we decided to eat here as it looked cozy. So glad we did. The customer service was exceptional and the food was amazing. Lots of choices for everyone. I accidentally deleted my pics so I could show how yummy the food is.

We went there for bunch and happy hour. The food both times was good as was the service. The happy hour is a great value.

Finished up a work conference and my friends and I wanted good food and cocktails. We enjoyed the inventive menu and our server, Passion, was fun and friendly despite having a packed house. No regrets!

Food for breakfast and dinner was tasty. Prices were reasonable. The restaurant is right in the hotel so it’s convenient. Service was very good.

Bottle + Kitchen offers a limited, but delicious breakfast menu. We ate there every day during our stay. Service is cordial and efficient. The coffee is excellent.

After a long, cold and wet day in Portland, I decided to stay in my hotel (Hotel Rose) for dinner. The restaurant is a nice space with a decent menu. I kept it pretty simple. I ordered a burger which was perfectly cooked to a medium temperature and was still juicy when I bit into it. The waitress kindly replaced my fries withe a salad for a $1 upcharge and I rounded out dinner with a glass of OR pinot noir. There were more interesting things on the menu but this simple comfort meal was perfect for me.

We were staying at the hotel and went for breakfast. The eggs benedict was one of the worst I've ever had unfortunately. No one else was very impressed with their food either. Little things were annoying like a creamer cup to share at the table which was warm and spilled everywhere when pouring. Even the little tiny ketchup cups on the plate were smaller than the potatoes you're supposed to dip in them.

Robby is the gifted bartender at Bottle & Kitchen. He is an amazing host with exquisite attention to details. His gourmet libations are a work of art. Hand crafted Old Fashioned with match-lit orange rinds, drinks to match your mood and personality. He truly is a craftsman at what he does. I wish he was in my home town. Happy hours are a perfect end to a business traveler’s day. Robby is a wonderful conversationalist and a joy to watch. They really have a great find on their hands. As for the food. There were some surprising finds. The bacon wrapped, chorizo stuffed, dates (trust me, worth it) were such a unique twist. I am not a fan of dates, but this was beyond fantastic. I just lit up my palette. The fresh oysters, salmon flatbread, deviled eggs, pretty much anything on the menu was a must try. If I ever stay in Portland again, I will choose Hotel Rose just so I can be near this restaurant.

My husband and were exhausted after hiking in the Columbia River Gorge and decided to eat at the hotel instead of going out. We were not sure what to expect since this restaurant is new and what reviews I could find were mixed. We ordered the grilled oysters and the chorizo stuffed dates as an appetizer, both were delicious. Then we both ordered the special which was salmon with a corn salsa and a red quinoa fritter. Good portion size, not huge which no one really needs, and the food was outstanding. We also ordered dessert which was a french toast mousse kind of thing that was over the moon delicious. I would highly recommend this place if you are in downtown Portland, it's worth venturing to even if you are not staying at the hotel.

We had dinner in the bar one evening and it was lovely. Fresh greens for the salads and unusual main courses. The happy hour menu is fun and different and good stuff.

Staying in the hotel, it was convenient to have breakfast downstairs before heading out for our day. The oatmeal was very tasty and well cooked, the egg and English muffin very acceptable. Going again this morning. Wait staff was friendly and accommodating.

Popped in for early dinner. Loved the atmosphere, decor and the staff - very nice and attentive. I had the confit ribs, which were delicious and my wife had the half chicken, also tasty. The portions are hearty and the waiter claims no one goes home hungry. The prices are very reasonable, esp with the portions. Good upper-end comfort food in a laid-back eatery. Worth checking out.

At the Rose Hotel you are offered breakfast, lunch and dinner at a nice inhouse restaurant. Trendy, as the hotel, they serve good food. Thought the dishes served was a bit small though and the place can be crouded if large groups are staying at the hotel. Nice place for a beer as well.

Beginning with the realization that Portland has an amazing selection of restaurants, Bottle + Kitchen is an alright place to eat for the weary traveler not wanting to wander out. The selection is sufficient and presentation is what one would expect of a nicer restaurant. For 4 of us, our bill was $151, which was well within the range of what we expect. There were also a few dessert items available, all of which were nicely prepared. The service was as expected and the wait for food was reasonable. While its not a place I would go out of my way to visit, it provided a good place for our group to get together and spend an evening.

Everyone was so kind, and nice to our dog! They had a happy hour, which was perfect for weary travelers. They had an area our dog could sit, and she was well behaved and soaked up all the attention! We were meeting friends, otherwise we really should have ordered more goodies; great bargains!

After a walk along the waterfront, we stopped in Bottle + Kitchen for a snack and cold beverage. It was quite busy and lively, which may have been unexpected for that day because they were slightly understaffed. However, our bartender really went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of and acknowledged. Great appetizers, fairly priced and a decent wine list. It's a great place to stop by if you're walking around the area.

We stayed in the hotel and had two breakfasts and one dinner at Bottle & + Kitchen. The service each time was terrific. The menu was creative and interesting. We found the prices for breakfast to be somewhat high but the quality of the offering was superior. The location is not convenient to much of what Portland has to offer. But if you are staying at the hotel or the nearby Marriott there is much to recommend it.

We were here on a rainy December night anticipating a relaxing meal. The surroundings are nice, great fireplace, i wished we sat closer (in the bar?). There seemed to be some confusion as to our server so received spotty service. It took 45 minutes to receive our meals; the service said they got hit with lots of orders at the same time... The Happy Hour house salad was great. The stuffed pork chop was tiny, it wasn't even a full pork chop, what's up with that? Taste was fine, nothing memorable. The salmon was very good, I even ate the skin (normally I remove it) and the rice was good.

You can make your own Bloody Mary which is fun. We sat in the small but quaint bar area …. a very lively and fun atmosphere. Both of breakfast entrees (build your own omelet) (veggie hash) were okay (3.0 stars). The Bloody’s saved the day!

The menu has some basic staples but also some trendier offerings. Ambience is nice with the fire pit. Service is fast and prices were reasonable.

Came for pre-dinner drinks, and enjoyed a couple of appetizers to go with them. Bartender was friendly and provided good service. The apps were tasty and priced well. Overall, we had a good time!

We had a nice breakfast here. I liked my egg white omelet. Good service. They include a lot in the breakfast.

Only had a short time for a meal before our concert Sunday. Decided to try the hotel restaurant. Super cool decor, and being early, and Sunday, no crowds to contend with. Had some delicious cocktails, and ordered the curry ravioli(filled with sweet potato) and a dinner salad. Salad was huge and fresh, and dinner was...YUM!!!! Working in the restaurant industry, I never expect too much from a hotel diner, but this was outstanding. I hope to revisit again, as not only was the food superb, but the service was excellent as well. Great menu, creative drink list.

Happy hour is awesome here. The porcini truffle fries were incredibly delicious, and so were the raw oysters on the half shell. We also had the breakfast sandwich on a separate occasion, but it wasn't anything spectacular.

Happy hour was stretched to cover all Sunday evening. We were tired and worn out from the heat (and the 200 mile Seattle-to-Portland bike ride) and didn't want to venture out of our hotel. The hostess didn't bat an eye when we turned down the first two tables she offered us. It's a pretty restaurant right off the Rose Hotel lobby. The server was fun and good at his job. We ordered off the happy hour menu and the food was great - medium-size portions with lots of flavor and flair. We had 1 appetizer, 2 entrees and 2 mixed drinks and the bill came to only $32. This was our second visit and we have found them to be great both times.

The bartender at happy hour was amazing. Great advice...awesome menu and delicious drinks. The atmosphere and decor was fun!

Ordered from both menus multiple times. Everything was excellent. I am addicted to the mussels! Great selection of drinks and wine as well.

This was so much more than I thought it would be. Do not listen or follow 'open table.' We arrived in the afternoon, went to dinner around 6 and there were many tables available. Great service from Passion and some really good insight from Rich set us on our way to the new menu, created by the in-house chef Roger. If you want bar food, you can have it, but with a twist. Bacon wrapped dates, special fried, terrific salads, all there. But also salmon and a terrific duck cassoule offered some terrific comfort food on a dark and rainy day. As a constant traveler, I'm always looking for something new and Bottle+Kitchen provided in spades. A very good wine list, local craft beers on tap, and a terrific line of liquors offers a similar variety to the menu. AND, you could have a conversation without having to fight over the background music. Yep, its a great place and somewhere we want to go again. Soon. Three cheers Passion, Rich and Roger -- we look forward to our next opportunity.

We stopped in here late one evening while staying at Hotel Rose. We were looking for a dessert before retiring for the night. We got exactly what we were looking for. Pie & Ice cream and Cheese cake. It was delicious. Our server was friendly and happy to make us happy. Thank you Bottle & Kitchen!!

I love coming here! It's been a staple for a while. It's in a hotel, but you can just drop in without being a guest. Great drink variety and food is affordable and good. Lately the options are all over the place, so I'm guessing the hotel is cutting corners to make money. But the bartender there, Tina, is always amazing! I don't know how she tends to everyone all the time. I never see anyone else working lately, but she always makes the night enjoyable when we stop in.

We needed to be in and out quickly and the staff was on point! Food was simple and just what we needed! Great coffee options.

If you're staying at this hotel it's easy. I had dinner there my first night sitting at the bar which was basic and tasty. They had a TV to watch as well. Service for dinner at the bar was better. I also had breakfast there daily. Service was hit and miss, but if you are getting basic stuff it's fine. Breakfast service was so-so.

Okay, they have other things besides burgers - their salads are amazing and breakfast was super good. But their classic burger with shoestring fries was OUTSTANDING. Awesome staff here too!!

Food was great and menu creative. The drinks were top shelf. Passion was our wait person and she was helpful and fun. They recommended a great place for brunch the next day.

Skip the duck wings, everything else on the Happy Hour menu was great though. Truffle fires and bacon wrapped dates were delicious. Cheese curds were good, but the sauce was a bit watery & flat. Salad was nicely dressed. Deviled eggs were good, but not noteworthy. Definitely get the truffle fries. Great deal for Happy Hour and the chance to try a lot of menu items for not much $.

What a relaxed evening we had at B&K - great salads, superb chicken dish (yes , chicken super tasty!) to just a super relaxed atmosphere and exc. wait staff - great food, great ambiance. There was a grand piano in the room so I assume there is live music too.

We had several breakfasts here and the food was very good. It has a limited menu but all was fresh and timely in delivery.

I went to Bottle + Kitchen for dessert with a few friends. The staff were helpful and friendly. We had a three scoop ice cream dish that was really yummy and a berry pie a la mode that was delicious. This is a great spot to hit up for dinner or snacks if you're downtown or at the waterfront park.

We were staying at the Hotel Rose, so we chose Bottle & Kitchen due to the convenience. We visited for Happy Hour once and for breakfast once. They weren't able to make a couple drinks on their Happy Hour menu due to not having the right mix, but overall decent drinks and food at reasonable prices. Good service and location.

Several of us stopped in for drinks and dinner one weeknight and the place was pretty much dead, but they had a full staff and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The venue is decorated very nicely, very clean restrooms and they are unique with their menu offerings. It’s basically pub food with a couple of entrées tossed in the mix. Their wings are grilled and are VERY tasty! The spicy style use some sort of home made or unique sauce, but the wings are also spiced prior to cooking and the combo of flavors really comes together nicely! Their spicy chicken sandwich was excellent! Very tender and hand-breaded, freshly made… definitely an incredibly good sandwich! Overall, definitely suggest stopping in here! It’s in an interestingly dated hotel, but don’t judge it based on the looks from the outside, stop in and try them out… there’s a reason the reviews are so good here!!

We stayed at the hotel and had breakfast here. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. I had a black bean omelet which was pretty good, but my husband had the biscuits and gravy and said it didn't really have much flavor.

While a guest at the Hotel Rose, I had breakfast in Bottle & Kitchen in the Hotel, but the entire breakfast experience, from the dazzling service to the perfect egg-white omelette and fried potatoes, will make me go out of my way to visit this special restaurant again!

Bottle and kitchen is attached to the newly redone StayPineapple Hotel formerly known as the Rose. Normally I find hotel restaurants to be sort of so so. Not the case here! Staff is gracious to a fault. Menu is very pacific northwestern as expected in Portland. Breakfast biscuit and gravy was delicious and upgraded from the diner standard. Gravy had just the right amount of acidity and a little heat but not overwhelming by any means. Mushroom, kale and goat cheese scramble was perfect. Portions were huge so 2 regular adults could share one plate, or, plan for leftovers. The coffee is strong and flavorful. The pork chop with collard greens and squash was excellent and burgers were really moist and the blue cheese was so good we’re buying some when we get home. The chocolate torte is so dense you will need to share it but served with fruit and caramel sauce to cut it a little. The apple berry crumble was so good we ordered another for dessert the next night as room service instead of dessert at the restaurant we ate at! I can not recommend this gem any more highly! Go there tonight! Full bar, espresso machine and a staff that wants to please. Sounds like my kind of place!

really enjoyed my dinner - creative menu - very tasty - loved the duck wings and the rib dish and the cobbler with cinnamon ice cream. They need to work on their wine list, especially because of their name!

The original drink menu leaves a little to be desired on selection but makes up for it in the styles and flavor fusions on the drinks offered. Very prompt service and good drinks and snacks and all for a reasonable price in the middle of Portland, no less.

We ate lunch here and were a bit "underwhelmed" with the food. DH had the bison burger and said it was okay, but nothing special. I had the soup of the day -- French Onion -- and thought it was really lacking. The broth was watery and tasteless, the onions were cooked just enough to make them limp, but lacked carmelization that would have developed flavors in the soup. A single small crostini with melted cheese floated on top, but a cap of browned melted cheese would have been so much better. This was not my idea of real French onion soup! The beet salad did have nice fresh greens, but was rather unseasoned and beets/radishes were minimal. I suspect, based on other reviews, that some of the other food choices might be worth having, but we were not wowed by this lunch. Service was friendly and prompt.

Ok, for hotel bar its pretty good. Good bartender with a LOT of local knowledge. Great happy hour specials. Nice vibe. Good stop.

With a simple menu B&K serve nicely presented, good quantity and quality foods. The servers were very friendly and attentive. Strong drinks too.

This bar area was just what was needed in the hotel. The customer service was amazing! Great drinks and food!! Awesome daily happy hour.

This place is very nice and modern. Good feel and vibe but for me there is just not enough choice. Menu is very limited for breakfast and dinner could do with revamping it a little. The hotel is nice and clean and best are very comfortable. If you stay with a view of the river then it can get pretty noisy with the main road.

I was traveling alone and after a long drive from Washington, I was hungry and ready for a cocktail. I was staying at Hotel Rose so I decided to relax and unwind at Bottle + Kitchen. First of all. The bartender didn't seem too interested in small talk, so I just sat alone and watched the TV. I ordered fish and chips and I noticed the fish seemed a little greasy. They weren't too flavorful either, but the fries were delicious. I ate and went back to my room with big plans of exploring Portland at night. Well, that never happened. My stomach rejected that fish with a vengeance! Ugh, miserable night! Never again.

Hung out at the bar almost every evening...good happy hour specials that run until the bar closes. Breakfast food was great, though a little spendy.

John, who works the bar is amazing! You can tell that he loves Portland and tending bar! He went above and beyond to give us suggestions of where to visit during our trip to Oregon, he even marked things out on a Portland map for us! He also had amazing beer suggestions-try the Occidental! Thanks for helping make our trip memorable, John! From your Minneapolis friends!

Ate here twice during my stay. Had the tuna one night and chicken the other. First - atmosphere is great. Service was outstanding. But the tuna was overcooked so was very dry though the sides were excellent. Chicken was served on top of a pea mousse ... chicken was hot, but the mousse was bone cold .. must have come straight from fridge and plated without heating. In a push I would come again simply for the location when staying at the hotel and the service was so good.

Portobello Mushroom Burger for brunch- was cooked perfectly and it was huge! Cappuccinos were also decent, which is a must for any breakfast destination.

Very inventive dishes. Delicious and well-priced meals. They offer a great happy hour. Don't miss the oysters!

The service here is excellent, we enjoyed our conversation and attentiveness of the bartender. There were many local beers on tap and the food was great. Would highly recommend, especially if you are staying in Hotel Rose.

Not very often do you get a nicely laid out restaurant in a boutique hotel. These guys have got it right! They decor works with the venue and the hotel itself. The food portions were better than expected. The quality of the food was also better than expected and the pricing was good. Clever little happy hour touches and it adds up to an overall good experience and a must if staying in the hotel.

I cannot complain about the food or the venue, I just do not like spending $20+ on breakfast. The staff was nice and the service was quick. I still recommend it!

Good cocktails, friendly service and good food. What more could you want? Nice place to visit with both staff and fellow travelers.

I was staying at the Hotel Rose, so for convenience, I ate at Bottle + Kitchen a couple times. Happy hour deals were great: $8 fish and chips, $3 parmesan fries, $5 drafts. Full priced breakfast was alright (eggs benny was OK, biscuits and gravy pretty good), but for the money... meh. Good coffee, though.

The Bottle & Kitchen at the Hotel Rose serves delicious comfort food at reasonable prices. My bison burger was flavorful and juicy with caramelized onions and melted Swiss cheese along with crispy shoestring fries.

I expect high quality service and Richard, the bar tender, delivered. Excellent style and just enough conversation to take care of my date and I without being a busybody. If you visit, be sure to ask for Richard.

The service was by far the best aspect of this restaurant. We had a 4 PM reservation as we were going to the theater at six. As it turned out their lunch menu ended at four, they have a happy hour menu until five, and then the dinner menu was available. Definitely, not what we expected by previously looking online. However, our server immediately went to the kitchen and was able to get us access to the lunch menu. Several of us had fish and chips and they were very good. My Margarito was not the best so I change to a wine which was very nice. This is a hotel restaurant/bar and not one of the best I've experienced. However, if you are on the Portland waterfront, this is a good choice to go into for a drink or a quick bite to eat.

We stopped in for a quick salad for lunch. The meal was very good and nicely presented. We also ordered a bacon wrapped date - WONDERFUL! I would have liked to go back for dinner, but we didn't have time.

We ate here several times during our stay at the Hotel Rose. The food was very consistent and good. The staff was very friendly. I especially enjoyed the Curry Ravioli. Happy hour food is both good and reasonable.

Stayed at the hotel and had breakfast here. Coffee is pretty good and they keep it filled. Companion said oatmeal was good. My omelette was fine, but nothing great. Toward the end, it felt like we were being given the bum's rush. There were empty tables, so it's not like they needed ours.

A group of girlfriends and I come to Portland and stay here before we go up to the wine country. The Place is awesome, clean, great coffee and the best staff! Our bartender, Rich, was SO attentive and very friendly. We sat there at the end of our trip playing cards. We had such a great time! See you next year Rich!

We only had appetizers and wine, since my son had chosen a sushi restaurant not listed here. However, though we were eating light, the staff was quite attentive and provided the quality of service we wanted.

Steak Frite was upscale without overdoing trendy. Just the right touch of truffle and the balsamic sauce created an orchestra of flavors that rolled over the palate with delight. The pineapple express is a custom cocktail that is not overly sweet even though it is loaded with fruit. Highly recommended.

We used this restaurant multiples times while staying at Hotel Rose. We had breakfast multiple days as well as their happy hour dinner menu. Beyond impressed with quality, flavor and service was spectacular for room service as well as in the restaurant. Even if we weren’t staying in the hotel, I would still come back to this restaurant.

I ordered the Steak and Cheese Omelette. The carne asada was perfect, the eggs were fluffy. All in all a good omelette. the coffee was first rate. The prices are spot on for a meal in Portland.

Got in late - decided on room service. I ordered and within 15 minutes I had a nice steak waiting for me. It was delicious, tender and cooked just right. Service with a smile.

The Bottle + Kitchen is located inside the Hotel Rose. The breakfast menu is standard with hotel prices. The red potatoes were delicious along with my eggs and sourdough toast. I had dinner there and thoroughly enjoyed the bacon wrapped dates. You MUST try one. They have a happy hour from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm with good prices on drinks and appetizers. The food was excellent.

We were staying here for a meeting at the hotel. We ate breakfast here our first morning and it wasn't good. It was pricey and the food was lukewarm. They weren't even busy. But then they catered dinner for our meeting that night and breakfast our last morning. The food was fantastic. Excellent soups, chicken, salmon, salads and desserts. I don't know if they have 2 separate kitchens. Don't eat a meal there unless it is a catered event. There are great places within easy walking distance.

My sister and I stayed at the hotel here and decided to have dinner 2 times during our stay. Happy hour selections the 1st night were really nice not too big or small either. 2nd night we just had salads and they were certainly big enough to fill us up. We would go back here again especially if we stayed at the hotel.

We had their steak and it was delicious! It was our first time here and we got a 10% discount! The service was excellent

This restaurant was in our hotel so we tried it and we were very pleasantly surprised. The staff was so nice and the food was great. One morning, my husband received his pancakes and the plate was presented beautifully decorated. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktails.

I stayed at the Hotel Rose during a recent stay in Portland. Upon check-in, I was hungry and given the convenience (Bottle + Kitchen) is attached to the hotel I gave it a try without looking into any reviews. It’s decor is definitely different, with loud and bright colors or purple, neon green, and yellow. It wasn’t of my particular taste but to be frank my food going experience is more driven by the dish than the decor, so I didn’t really care. I got the B+K burger with an added egg, and boy did the burger blow me away. Perfect blend of the bacon jam and sweet aioli for the sweetness, with a perfectly cooked and seasoned burger. Structurally, the burger did struggled with the customized added egg on top but sometimes you need to get down and dirty. Truly a great burger, they are doing things right here. I overheard others who were dining comment about how good their dishes were. Don’t be fooled and mistake this place for being another generic hotel restaurant option, this place can bang!

We stayed at the Rose Hotel for our short weekend in Portland and were pleasantly surprised with the Bottle & Kitchen. During our stay we had the steak, which was great, the cheese board also very fresh & the bacon wrapped dates. The survive was great & had beautiful views of the river.

Very nice decor but impassive staff. Food could be better and t is rather expensive Good selection of wine and beer with a Happy Hour from 4 to 6pm.

We were guests at the Staypineapple at Hotel Rose in Portland. We had a lovely experience. The staff of the hotel was super friendly and helpful. My FAVORITE part of the hotel is the restaurant, Bottle & Kitchen. It's a cozy space with a bar, tables, and a long high-top table in the center. There's a fireplace, which makes it super cozy and pretty. They serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and they have a fantastic happy hour every evening from 4-6 and 9 to midnight, where you can find craft cocktails and appetizers at a discounted price. But even their regular menu prices I found to be reasonable for a hotel restaurant. As I said, the staff is super - very friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. Craft cocktails that I tried were delicious. The presentation of the food is lovely. The pineapple (which represents hospitality) is a subtle theme throughout the hotel and restaurant. The dinnerware in the restaurant is really elegant, with a small pineapple on the edge. Such lovely touches all throughout. My two teens and I loved the breakfasts - wide variety and everything really tasty. Coffee was superb. I had a salmon dish one night that was out of this world, and a really lovely flank steak dish another night. We ate almost all our meals here because we enjoyed it so much. Five stars all the way around!!!

Service was prompt and friendly, the food was a 4.5, my hamburger had a bacon jelly with blue cheese atop and it was SO good. The crab crostini was heavenly. Very relaxed atmosphere with a large fireplace going in the room center. Especially delicious with great variety for a hotel restaurant.

This restaurant is part of The Rose Hotel and we had breakfast there on two days of our stay. Very good food.

Nice atmosphere with a warming fireplace. Good food and excellent service. Try the bacon-wrapped dates and other appes.

I ate here every day, for 1 week straight and I can say that I received adequate sized plates of breakfast and that these were some really tasty breakfast meals. I had some salmon and eggs breakfast or some soft of sausage based egg breakfast and each one was out of this world great. The servers are very nice, even very very early in the morning and I appreciated that. Definitely my go to spot when I go to Portland.

While staying in the hotel, Ihad both dinner and breakfast. The menu was limited, but the food was very good quality and tasty and fairly reasonably priced. They had a few open wines to choose from and the one I ordered was much better than usual. The staff was a bit brusque as it might be in a neighborhood bar, but not unfriendly.

This is the restaurant inside Hotel Rose. We were tired and didn't feel like looking for an outside restaurant so took a chance. It was a good choice. Happy hour was in effect and we got a great BBQ pork slider, fish & chips and wine at great prices. Service was pretty good. The interior is very modern and attractive with some tables next to a large window. Good experience.

Found this place while visiting Portland. It is very nice. John is a great bartender. I had the Duck Sugo, and I would recommend it to anyone! I look forward to my return to try other dishes.

The stuffed peppers were very good. The homemade coconut ice cream was amazing. The staff were friendly and the service was good. The BLT salad was okay, but not my favorite.

It was sooooo cold we had to wear our winter coats throughout the meal, which was mediocre at best. Service was sketchy, even had to ask for jam for the toast. Eggs were overdone, nothing to recommend the breakfast burger, the Monte Cristo was good.

Wow, the manager of the Bottle + Kitchen, Margaux Taylor, is the most attentive and thoughtful person I have ever met in the food and beverage industry. I was planning a surprise dinner for my sister and her husband who were married the weekend before. I had a few ideas of what I was hoping for in order to make their night a memorable experience and Margaux along with her team exceeded all expectations!! My sister and her husband will remember and talk about their dinner at the Bottle + Kitchen for years to come. Thank you!!!

Cool little bar with great drinks & snacks. Have to try their "Tachos", nachos with tater tots, so yummy!

Breakfast had some good choices, the food came out fast, service was great. As it is attached to the Hotel Rose, you don't have to go out to eat. In fact, some people wear their robes down for breakfast.

Stayed at the hotel for one night and went there for dinner. Sunday happy hour is 4PM till close 11PM. I got beers for $3 each, nice salad for $4 and fish and chips for $8. Service was quick, food was tasty but nothing too special. Overall it was pretty good for the value on happy hour time.

Went here for dinner while on business in Portland. There was a group of about seven of us and there weren't many places that would give us a table for that many people. Bottle + Kitchen didn't have many people in it when we got there and they easily accommodated us. First off let me say that I was a little concerned that while we were sitting there waiting to order I looked up some of the reviews of them online and they were really mixed. Anyways we were there so I was going to try to have a good meal. I ordered the duck and a small dinner salad. I have to be honest when I first started eating the duck I found it to be a little on the bland side, however, the more I ate the more I really enjoyed it. I found the portions to be just right and the food was really good. Although the side salad isn't on the menu they let me order one anyways. I got it with the house vinaigrette and it was excellent. But the best thing of all was the blueberry cobbler for dessert. I wasn't even sure I was going to have dessert but when the waiter said that the cobbler tonight was blueberry I figured I couldn't resist. Again the size was just right it wasn't too much and it was really excellent. My whole meal with tip and an iced tea was under 40 bucks so I found it to be a really good value. Don't let the mixed reviews keep you away from what could be a great meal.

This is an excellent choice for the end of a site-seeing day in Portland if you are staying downtown close to the river. The soup dejour was a surprisingly tasty vegetable soup. My husband and I shared a BLT salad and an order of steak and frites. Yummy!

This place is just ok. Food was ok but not memorable. The guy serving us as terrible. Not friendly at all. The potatoes were over cooked and hard. Egg omelet was just ok. Probably would not come back😩

Great location (in the Rose Hotel), good food, inadequate service, nice atmosphere. We are staying in the Rose and it was a rainy Saturday morning during the Rose Festival parade. So walking to a good breakfast place was not a good idea, too crowded. So we opted to eat here. We waited 5-10 minutes to get a table despite it being not very busy. Short wait to order and get food. Not much service thereafter, no coffee refills for example. We had salmon hash which was really good.

Stayed at this hotel and stopped here for breakfast after working out and have to say the omelet was amazing!!! Would highly recommend.

We stopped in for a quick breakfast on our last day in the city. We had a scramble and biscuits/gravy which were terrific. Unfortunately our experience ended on a largely negative note when we needed to wait a ridiculous amount of time after finishing the main and ask a second server, for toast we asked for when they brought our order, as the biscuits came with eggs over easy but no toast. With so many other awesome choices nearby we probably won't be back.

The B & K is associated with the Rose Hotel and is the one thing that makes the stay at the Rose tolerable. We were there on two separate days, and ate breakfast and dinner there both days. Just too dam*ed tired to go walking around. We understand that Portland has some really good restaurants within a fifteen-minute walk, but not this time. Food and service at the B&K are both quite good. Limited menu, but always something that will fill the bill. Well prepared, well presented. Breakfasts are particularly good. The place seems popular, active bar scene, lots of young traffic. The only downside is that if you're seated on the window side, your view is that of some homeless "residences". But that's Portland in these days. And you can't walk away from the hotel in any direction without finding them camping on the sidewald, under the overpasses, in the doorways. TripAdvisor always asks if you have a photo. The photo I have is from our window showing the "homeless" across the street. I don't think that's the kind of photo they want. Bottom Line: Not worth going out of your way, but if you're already at the Rose, it's a good, comfortable alternative.

Inside the Hotel Rose, ordered a lovely mushroom omelette with carmelized onions and goat cheese. Ordered with a side of pico de gallo which was very fresh. Surprising yummy lightly dressed salad on plate with great wheat toast. Coffee is extra robust. Nice service.

I really like the atmosphere here - the decor is unique and a cool fusion of modern and rustic. We had brunch and everything was delicious, plus of course super convenient if you're staying in the hotel.
Good food, really nice atmosphere and service.
We started with bar service and the atmosphere and staff were, not unlike the rest of the Rose Hotel really friendly. The fettuccini was tasty and the salads above average.
